LES RALLIZES DENUDES are one of the earliest and most revolutionary Japanese psychedelic rock bands, and have existed off and on through four decades. Formed in November of 1967 at Kyoto University, inspired by Exploding Plastic Inevitable-era Velvet Underground as well as the over-amplified rock of Blue Cheer and Mario Schifano's avant garde ensemble Le Stelle.

By 1968 they were gigging live and even began a regular collaboration with an avant-garde theater troupe, which ended the next year because of Les Rallizes' penchant for extreme volumes of sound. Not only did they use massive amounts of feedback at loud volumes, their stage shows used strobe lights, mirror balls, and other effects for a live experience that was a total sensory assault. This historic performance recorded in Tachikawa is a document of the band's sound: extreme feedback, distressed guitar with detached vocals laid over languid rhythms, unbelievable in intensity.

The Maccabees are an indie rock band from London. They have released four albums to date, 'Colour It In' (2007), 'Wall Of Arms' (2009), Mercury-nominated 'Given To The Wild' (2012) and the number one album 'Marks To Prove It' (2015).

Originally released in 1981 Rage In Eden was co produced by Conny Plank in his studio in Cologne Germany. After the heady success of the Vienna album, the bands sound was progressing, a fuller, richer tapestry of synthesizers and piano with Billy Currie's dynamic violin always a highlight.

Interestingly all the tracks on the album are long, 'Stranger Within' being over 7 minutes and with no instrumentals on the album save for the sequed 'The Ascent' onto 'Accent OnYouth' the album is very much a piece of work in its entirety. The depth in the sound is impressive indeed and goes someway to retain its inherent freshness, even today.

The album opens with the epic 'The Voice' one of Midge Ure's most impressive vocal performances and sets the tone for the whole album and for all its length the album does have a very good momentum.The title track Rage In Eden takes its mood from the Vienna album and

Side 1 closes with the Hemingway inspired 'I Remember (Death In The Afternoon)' a song not specifically about Marilyn Monroe particularly but more a atmospheric genralisation and sense of imagery of the time, hence the Hemingway title.

The album closes with the atmospheric Your Name (Has Slipped My Mind Again). Its barren simplicity and choral vocal seems a fitting finale to the album, quietly fading into the distance.

Snowflake 8 features two songs by Melbourne postpunk band IKON. IKON was started at the end of the 1980s as Death In The Dark by school friends Chris McCarter and Dino Molinaro, influenced by bands like Joy Division and New Order. The band changed its name to IKON in 1991. Since then, IKON released seven albums, the last 'Everyone Everything Everywhere Ends' in 2014. The band, that still features the two original members alongside David Burns and Clifford Ennis, has done several tours through the years, and has become one of the mainstays of the worldwide darkwave/gothic/postpunk scene. IKON's sound has developed through the years, incorporating acoustic and electronic elements in their dark, postpunk-inspired rock sound. Despite Christmas in Australia usually being sunny and hot, IKON is going to make Christmas 2015 a very dark, cold and even scary one.

The A-side tells the story of Krampus, the Christmas devil, the helper of Saint Nicholas (aka Santa Claus) according to the folklore of the Alp countries, who punishes children that have misbehaved. The B-side turns the Christmas classic 'Little Drummer Boy' in a scary sounding darkwave song. On special request of the band, the single comes in two versions: 200 copies on snow white vinyl and 200 copies on blood red vinyl.

Sean Pierce debuts on Mannequin Records with an intense dark / techno modular synth 6 tracks EP. Currently operating out of Portland, Oregon, Sean is one half of ASSS, who put out two acclaimed singles on Mannequin Records parent label Haunted Air Records. Check the monster dance floor slasher 'Immodest Force'..tip!

Snowflake 7 features two songs by Terminal Gods, a gothic rock band from London. Formed in 2011, the band has released three singles and a EP on their own label Heavy Leather Sex Productions, and will release their debut album in Spring 2016. The sound of Terminal Gods is heavy influenced by the early 1980s gothic rock scene, otibly The Sisters Of Mercy (due to the baritone vocals of Crowley, the atmospheric guitar work of Maisley and the cold sounds of the drum machine), although the most recent single 'Road Of The Law' demonstrate that the band is more and more developing a sound of their own.

'Boundless', the A-side of their Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club, shows a total new side of the band, and sounds almost like a ballad, but one with a punch. The song is written from the perspective of Father Christmas, reflecting on his sometimes tiresome job to bring presents to people who ask a lot, but not take a real interest in him as a person. The B-side is a cover of one of the most popular Christmas pop songs from the 1980s, Chris Rea's 'Driving Home For Christmas'. Terminal Gods turn it into an almost industrial sounding postpunk song. The single comes on snow white vinyl and is limited to 350 copies.

The little-known FIRE ON THE MOON was recorded while the Comsats were briefly known as Dream Command, a
move encouraged by the label in an attempt to circumvent issues with the band name in the USA. The album was
only ever released in the USA and the Netherlands, and quickly deleted. A real 'lost' album for Comsat Angels fans.

At last reissued on LP (180-GRAM AUDIOPHILE VINYL!), it's the third and final studio album from Holland's ultimate psych legends GROUP 1850! 'Polyandri' was originally issued in 1974, when psychedelic rock had already lost its momentum. That unfortunate timing must be the only reason why this is a somewhat overlooked album, because the music itself is absolutely killer! On offer is a wild fusion of psychedelia, jazz-rock and progressive space rock, at many times dominated by band leader Peter Sjardin's home-built keyboard, The Organizer. There are guest appearances from Barry Hay (Golden Earrings) on flute and well known jazz musician Hans Dulfer on sax. The LP comes with remastered sound, a heavy gatefold sleeve boasting restored artwork, rare memorabilia, pix and liner notes by Mike Stax (Ugly Things).

Chicago's Plastic Crimewave Syndicate is led by Plastic Crimewave aka Steve Krakow on guitar and vocals, creator of the beloved psychedelic magazine Galactic Zoo Dossier (published by Drag City) and former head of Plastic Crimewave Sound, who toured with Comets on Fire, Acid Mothers Temple, and Oneida---and released several LPs which were acclaimed in the Wire magazine, Mojo, and even by head-druid Julian Cope. The new Syndicate configuration is filled out by bassist Anjru Kettering, formerly of windy city acid-rawk gods the Great Society Mind Destroyers; Dawn Aquarius on synth, who was part of Herbcraft and Cursillistas, Brainshadows and Oracle Offering; and Jose Bernal, who has pounded the skins for Bionic Cavemen and Dead Feathers as well. PCWSyndicate has opened for Loop, Hawkwind, Keiji Haino, and backed Djin Aquarian of Ya Ho Wa 13, plus played gigs with younger psych acts like Woods, Purling Hiss and Quilt---and toured the USA. A unique DOUBLE-VINYL reissue of a classic Dutch punk-LP, originally issued in 1978 by both Philips and Universe Records, and recorded by well known radio dj Alfred Lagarde. Named after a classic British motorcycle (the Triumph Speed Twin) and with a notable special interest in S&M, the Speedtwins were the very first Dutch punk band to release a full-length album. A true lost gem of the '60s, The Seven Deadly Sins could be viewed as a simple cash-in on the success of Jesus Christ Superstar if it weren't for the fact that this LP is deeper and rocks harder. With wild fuzz guitar, string interludes, an entire choir, piano, organ, and a song cycle structured like a Catholic mass, the group Plus made this one overlooked classic (with the assistance of ex-Yardbirds bassist/producer, Simon Napier-Bell) and then disappeared into the night. Essential for any fan of 60s psych/prog and concept albums in general.

Music On Vinyl is proudly re- releasing Jeff Buckley 'The Grace Eps' on vinyl! This unique package contains 5 180g 12" vinyl records each in their own full colour jacket, plus a double sided full colour insert and a 12mm spined outer sleeve.

The five discs that make up The Grace EPs are a collection of live performances and a few studio versions from songs that appeared on Buckley's seminal debut album. A few b-sides are also included. Indeed two of these (Peyote Radio Theatre and So Real) were promotional-only releases that weren't commercially available at the time. Equinox Recordings is proud to present 'The Flood', the debut album from Melbourne-based group Tulalah.

Tulalah's blend of folk, rock & jazz influences alongside with their use of vocal harmonies add a new flavour to the roster of Australian artists who have released on the Equinox label which include The Raah Project, Hiatus Kaiyote & Kirkis.

Three months after the release of their debut EP 'The Mule' in 2013, Tulalah caught the attention of the label by chance at a gig at The Evelyn Hotel in Fitzroy. After a meeting the idea to record an album was born.

The album was recorded at a small home-made studio in the beachside town of Blairgowrie along the Mornington Peninsula as well as several halls & churches in Melbourne's inner north to track vocal, string & horn sections. The original sextet eventually expanded into the current 9-piece lineup. WIth the assistance of co-producer Jono Steer, the album was then mixed at Melbourne's iconic Sing Sing Recording Studios.

The singles 'Selma', 'And Yet It Moves' and 'Distortrait' have resonated with critics both in Australia and around the world. These tracks have been on regular rotation with the likes of Double J, ABC Radio National, Triple R & PBS FM as well as international support from tastemakers including Kev Beadle, Toshio Matsuura, Jon Oliver & Jazzanova.
