Primal Scream are one of the most popular and influential British groups of the past thirty years. Their 1991 album 'Screamadelica' is regularly lauded as among the greatest of all time. They mix the musical past with the present to create a special sound. The tracks on this compilation, selected by lead singer Bobby Gillespie, allow a view into part of his music world.

This is the first commercially released compilation put together by Bobby Gillespie. He describes the music as 'beautiful, fragile and soulful'.

The CD's tracklisting includes music by the 13th Floor Elevators, the Beach Boys, the Byrds, Gene Clark, Ronnie Wood, Willie Nelson and Jerry Lee Lewis. It also features Primal Scream's take on the Jesus And Mary Chain's 'Darklands'.

The sleeve notes feature Bobby's explanation of what the songs mean to him and how they influenced his band's records. The cover image is an iconic image of him from the Corinne Day archive.

The LP contains one bonus track - 'Cheree (remix)' by Suicide - and comes in clear 180g vinyl with a gatefold sleeve.

Benjamin John Power of Fuck Buttons' solo excursions as Blanck Mass culminated earlier this year in the excellent double LP, Dumb Flesh. One of the best album cuts was "No Lite," which is reimagined here by the legendary Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle) with the help of Timothy Leary's dreamachine and a sample of a "weird old English penny whistle." Genesis knew intuitively that those recordings, made over 30 years ago, would mesh well with the BPM of "No Lite," and the result is this incredible remix. This one-sided, white-label 12" presents her take on the track as a strictly limited, vinyl-only edition of 500.

Power said of the project: "With her being a hugely important innovator who constantly challenges pop culture, I was very excited at the prospect of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge working on a remix of 'No Lite'. I had a feeling that it would have been approached from an interesting angle and the results do not disappoint."

Television are pleased to announce 'Marquee Moon (Deluxe Audio)'. The legendary band Television were part of the '70s New York City underground rock scene, where they were among the first bands to play the punk rock and new wave venue CBGB. Richard Hell left the band in 1975 before the recording of Marquee Moon to be replaced by Fred Smith.
Marquee Moon was released to widespread critical acclaim in February 1977 and has since been viewed as one of the greatest albums of all time and continues to open eyes to the ways the Verlaine and Lloyd utilised electric guitar creatively within punk rock.

Classic and crucial French new wave masterpiece. Absurdly out of print and quite rare to find an original at this point. Contains the amazing 'Disco Rough' single as well as 8 more gems. Excellent remastering of the source material from the master tapes by Gilbert Castro at Celluloid in France. It sounds fantastic! Third album for Melbourne's CUNTZ. With Alex Macfarlane (Boomgates, Constant Mongrel, The Stevens) behind the desk again, CUNTZ offer an even more bitter pill to swallow this time around in 'Force The Zone'. Always polarising critics, mainly due to the band's chosen moniker, those that didn't get the sardonic humour present missed out on fully enjoying Aloha and Solid Mates, although one commenter nailed it when stating '...the informed listener can choose to either get it or be put off by the irreverence. Cuntz are dedicated to the hoon, and dedicated to supporting each other in their own respective hoons, and they don't give a fuck about what anyone thinks about that.'

CUNTZ are about to embark on another U.S tour, commencing September 2015 and includes an appearance at Gonerfest 12 in Memphis, alongside Ty Rex, Nobunny, Hank Wood, Quintron and Sonny Vincent. Tour dates:

Universe transcends its intriguing concept to highlight a
hyperactive and omnivorous talent within.
These wide-ranging, kaleidoscopic instrumental compositions
veer from the disorientingly complex to the achingly
and delicately beautiful, all the while maintaining a
metallic, misanthropic edge. It's almost as if computers
were playing to each other across the sales floor, laughing
at the puny humans attempting to create harmonics in air
when they can do so perfectly in the vacuum of binary.
Glass Ceiling Universe is lifestyle music for all the cyborg
assassins out there, and it's out on Castle Face Records.

One-take ambient instrumental travels, composed in strict committee by the trio of Kevin Blagg, William Suran, and Dante Carfagna. Recorded spontaneously in rural Arkansas, bulging sub-woofers lope through fissures of skeletal banjo and pitched down pedal steel, while delicately arranged basins of synth and guitar reverberate, providing a steady stream of granular epiphanies. Utterly faded, yet still possessing crystalline clarity, these twelve songs continually attain summits rarely reached within the span of four-minute transmissions.

Joy is Dan Madri and Matt Savage, who have played music
off and on together since 7th grade or so. Their 2002 self-titled
Shrimper debut put a subtly eccentric spin on the bedroom folk
template. Subsequent recordings Hatred & Grief, Devil's Blues
and Sailing Days saw the band expanding its lineup (Ariel Rabinovic
on electric guitar, Matt Dodge on drums) and refining its
production value—but never at the expense of the simplicity or
off-kilter pop sensibility of its songwriting.
On Shallows, Joy's third release for Shrimper, the spotlight
returns to the core duo. The record is a patchwork of new recordings
and older, unreleased material dating as far back as
the turn of the millennium. Each of the fourteen tracks brings its
own character and fidelity to the table—though at roughly 30
minutes long, Shallows never feels disjointed.
Though ten years separate the record from the band's last output,
it feels like a logical extension of the catalog. Joy will be
playing a small run of shows—its first in nearly a decade—to
coincide with the Shallows release.

Dayton, Ohio-based supergroup Ricked Wicky pulls off a rarely ventured
and even more rarely gained three-peat with its third album—all
recorded and released in the span of a year—Swimmer to a Liquid
Armchair. The quartet, led by Robert Pollard and seconded mostly
by multi-instrumentalist Nick Mitchell, with assists from Kevin
March on drums and Todd Tobias on bass, have amped Pollard's
already wildly prolific output to Jason-Statham-in-Crank-2 levels.
Swimmer serves up the same gleefully messy prog / punk / pop stew
as on the previous two Ricked Wicky releases, but there's a growing
sense of assurance evident on the newest record that indicates Big
Things for the future.
We draw your attention in particular to 'Poor Substitute,' as
straightforward a song as Pollard has ever written, emotionally
charged, melancholy, executed with rough vigor by the band and sung
with unaffected mastery. Contrast this with the following song, which
showcases Mitchell's more polished songwriting approach (and abundant
guitar chops) and his vibrant, albeit less elastic, tenor voice. If
Guided By Voices, Pollard's other other band, often bear comparison
to the Beatles, Ricked Wicky on occasion calls to mind a kind of lo-fi
Blue Öyster Cult, with a touch of early Queen (Mitchell's slide work
on 'The Blind Side' recalls Brian May). Those accustomed to more
standard Pollardian fare will find plenty to chew on here: the virtuosic
wordplay on album opener 'What Are All Those Paint Men Digging,'
the thumping thug-rock of 'Red-Legged Pygmalion,' the epic sweep
(in three minutes) of 'Simple Simon Paper Plates,' for starters.
But if Pollard seems determined to establish Ricked Wicky as more
than just another in a numberless series of side projects—as an actual
thing-in-itself as fully realized as anything he's ever dreamed up in his
rock-crystal bowl—he's nonetheless never more himself than when
testing his own limits. By welcoming different voices and different
approaches to both playing and songwriting, by framing Ricked Wicky
as a collaboration of equals, he establishes more than ever that he has
very few. Put that in your e-pipe and vape it, kids.

Les Disques du Crepuscule presents an expanded edition of classic festive album Ghosts of Christmas Past, featuring favourites from the original 1981 and 1982 editions now joined by newer tracks by Crepuscule artists.
Sometimes witty, sometimes melancholic, the original version of Ghosts of Christmas Past in November 1981 featured exclusive contributions from luminaries such as Tuxedomoon, The Durutti Column, Paul Haig, Michael Nyman, Aztec Camera, Thick Pigeon and The Names. Subsequent editions in 1982 and 1986 added songs by Antena, Mikado, The French Impressionists, Pale Fountains and Winston Tong.
For this new double CD version in 2015 Crepuscule have now added more chantons noel by Blaine L. Reininger, Section 25, The Wake, Marsheaux, Deux Filles, Stanton Miranda, Virna Lindt, B Music and Ultramarine.

The Wharves combine gracefully minimal psych-rock with fuzzed out folk. Their songwriting remains consistently rich, largely due to the startling harmonies of Gemma Fleet (bass) and Dearbhla Minogue (guitar) that bond together each song.

They invoke the reverberated spook of 60s girl groups, the mid-fi guitar crunch of Kim Deal's The Amps, the vocal flavours of The Roches and the narrative and structural panache of 70s progressive folk. Marion Andrau's thunderous drumming drives through these compositions, ensuring the wealth of disparate influences remain focused and celebratory.
Following on from last year's brilliant 'At Bay' album on Gringo Records, this brand new 7' single gives us a glimpse of what their next album 'Electa' will sound like next year.

PRS' 'Women Make Music' grant made these recordings possible and enabled the band to spend a day recording with a rebel choir made up of friends of the band and family members. Side A boasts the plaintive yet powerful track 'NAZ', which soars for the sky with each vocal climb and guitar trail. Whilst, 'My Will' on the flipside takes us back to a wintry past life, sounding practically medieval in its quietude, before leaping up like a newly lit bonfire when the rebel choir join the fray.
