8 years after the last single release “Tatischeff” on Innervisions, german-duo Âme remain at the forefront of electronic music and look to the future with their 100th catalogue number. Experimenting with vocals and personalities, Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer of Âme explore a heavier sound with the new release. Despite their prominence within house music, IV100 noticeably combines the unique sounds of Wiedemann and Beyer’s solo performances (Live sets and DJ) with characteristics of techno, commenting that “this EP could be seen as the biggest common denominator”.

Lazy Ants combines on 4 peak the slices of House and Techno with none other than Lauren Flax and M.F.S: Observatory.

Luca Cazal & Josh Baker kickstart Richy Ahmed’s new vinyl focused imprint, Back 2 Black, with a brace of intergalactic tracks. The new label’s first release also features a remix from British electronic stalwart, Radioactive Man.

Cazal remains a central figure within the house & techno community; his DJ residency at Circoloco is longstanding and releases for labels like Crosstown Rebels, Classic Music Company, his own See Double label, and Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint have marked out his production prowess and ear for a good groove. Josh Baker has been rising up the ranks over the last few years, with releases for Ben Rau’s META label, Locus and his own You&Me label.

On ‘Organ Nuke’, Cazal & Baker dip into the kind of spacey techno house that was forged by Detroit pioneers Underground Resistance, as funky percussion and organ stabs are coupled with dreamy pads and cosmic tones. ‘Rocket Ship’ continues these themes, with heavy 909 drums anchoring a cheeky acid bassline and flashes of cosmogonic sound.

British DJ & producer, Radioactive Man, has long since been at the coalface of electronic music’s leftfield. As one half of Two Lone Swordsman (with the late, great Andrew Weatherall), and multiple aliases for his industrious flow of releases, the revered producer injects a heavy dose of classy electro and Drexciyan vibes into ‘Rocket Ship’. Rolling breaks unfurl in the electro beats as head scrambling keys and rasping bass stimulate the senses for a funkin’ body poppin’ workout.

A no nonsense 4 track offering, and all thoroughly road tested by Adam, they have gained much support from long time Drumcode fans. Eclipse, delivers a low end rumble along with a modulating synth line. Reigning high throughout the track, is the undeniably catchy and unique synth. Leaving this track one to be recognised on dancefloors all over the world.

With his return on VOLTAGE Imprint, Border One serves up a 4 cut classy & club-focused EP, ensuring an eyes-closed though body-moving experience from the get go.

Border One opens up in typical no-nonsense fashion before the elevating melody & refined drum patterns take the upper hand, not holding anything back to start the EP off with a dance floor magnet. Mysteriousness and suspense skyrocket during the second track, Coplanar, giving our imagination room to explore under guidance of a crystal clear trade-off between drums & hats.

Mystery turns into tension & nervousness, as the B-side opener 'Rhombus' rumbles with hypnotism, then giving us a small breather at the halfway point before moving on to what seems to be a never-ending groove. Punchy kicks lead us into VOLT010's closer - Segment - creating a strong foundation for a deep club track with expert attention to detail.

Following on from the success of Capriati's album Self Portrait, 4 tracks have been hand selected by some of techno's hottest producers. Dubfire, Coyu, Julian Jeweil, Luigi Madonna have each incorporated the same feeling that Joseph laid out in his original productions, but have added a unique twist that breathes a new lease of life into the tracks.

Swedish producer Filip Strom delivers his first long player to Edit Select, the album comes with 11 tracks in total and 4 track album sampler vinyl. All in all a very accomplished debut by an upcoming force in the genre.

Morning Trip is a new imprint under Telephone Explosion dedicated to releasing ambient, experimental and generally optimistic sounds.

Originally released on cassette in 1986, Celestial Realms is a collaborative album from New Age gurehead and Brian Eno-collaborator Laraaji, and fellow cosmic traveller Jonathan Goldman (aka Lyghte). Laraaji conjures his typically vivid soundworld of shimmering electric zither, while Goldman inhabits that world with pulsing guitar and droning synthesizer.

Celestial Realms provides a 46 minute blissful ambient voyage featuring zither, bells, synthesizer, and guitar.

'Finally, the best sustained trance music of the year can be found on Celestial Realms, a new co-creation of Laraaji and Lyghte, who use zither, bells, synthesizers, and guitar for their extraterrestrial adventures. In the late 80s I started listening to UK radio stations when I was a little kid and I instantly fell in love with the acid sound and rave movement that was portrayed on those UK dance shows. When I got old enough to attend clubs and warehouse raves, to experience the movement first hand, it was a nobrainer for me that the music and the lifestyle was my call. Lately.... in my dj sets and when producing music... I have been time travelling back to those days. Back to how I remember the music I fell so deeply in love with and that is exactly what you hear on this 'Done/Undone' release. For the 'Done' track I teamed up with Cari Golden to have a female spoken word and a great message to build the music around. I always prefer to do original vocal recordings rather than using samples. Cari understood 100% what I was after and I love the lyrics and execution by her. The spoken word is centered, very clear and deep to contrast the constantly building intensity of the acid patterns and thumping beats. 'Undone' is instrumental and has a more straight forward flow to it. It's quite simple although the shifting groove patterns might surprise some. I was torn between two different acid patterns and
decided to drop one of them as a surprise change. Playing the track in clubs I quickly learned that the change of dynamics had a great effect. Both tracks have been wrapped in dark-themed chords and atmosphere. Both tracks have my take on the sound I fell in love with years ago and obviously still love today. I hope you like what you hear.

“Harvest” is tondiue's follow-up to the brilliant debut EP “Painted Creature" released in 2021. Featuring two long-form compositions, Harvest consists of material recorded during site-specific live performances around the Pacific Northwest in 2022. “Lilypad” was prepared for Ground Hum in Seattle, and "Koye" for Active / Passive Vol . 4 on Galiano Island, BC. In these compositions, tondiue designs vast, all-encompassing soundscapes propelled by captivating beats and flowing rhythms.

This release showcases the wide range of tondiue's sonic stylings, taking you on a scenic and meditative journey through the producer's experimental environments.

The new VA gathers 4 tracks mixing several styles of acid lines in several universes: rave techno, psytrance, hard techno, Acid Techno and Neoacid. We start with VALHALLA from the Parisian NTBR, a track with psytrance sounds and vibes marked by a powerful bassline that rolls on everything that moves and its strong percussions. NTBR shows us again its strong capacity to produce different styles and offers us a bewitching journey. We continue with ASTROTURF from the duo Blame The Mono which stands out with its powerful kick, its percussive bassline and a perfect balance between psytrance and hard Techno, all accompanied by German influence that we find in the breaks with a male voice. The French producer Vizionn still shows us his talent to mix Rave and Acid Techno. A perfect balance of bouncing kicks, captivating acid lines and percussions that bring an incredible energy to this track. We close this V.A with the talented La Kajofol and the track Kickstart: a powerful kick accompanied by big acid lines, mixing several styles of acid and reminding the neoacid sounds that this label puts forward. Get ready for the trip!

Official reissue of Civilistjävel!'s first, self-titled archival LP in sky-blue embossed sleeve, 500 copies.

A minor masterpiece of high-lonesome, ultra-spacey existential electronics, recorded in the ‘90s and early 2000s, the music on this album had never been heard outside the Swedish artist’s private tape/CD-R trading networks until 2018 - when London’s Low Company presented it in a hand-assembled vinyl edition of 250 with scant context or biographical info. Some people understandably thought the project might be a ruse - was it really plausible that material this accomplished and affecting had fallen under the radar for 20-odd years? Implausible, perhaps, but true nonetheless. Five years on we know that Civilistjävel is indeed the real deal: the alter ego of a discreet but by no means reclusive solo artist based in Uppsala who has for decades been quietly honing his craft without worrying about who's listening. Since 2019 he has become more visible: performing live several times in and around Europe, and last year releasing a brand new studio album, Järnnätter, on Felt Records. Meanwhile Low Company has put out four subsequent, vinyl-only volumes of archival material. These have increasingly tended towards the more rhythmic/techno-oriented impulse in Civilistjävel, so it’s interesting to return now to Volume 1: comprised of the most introspective and isolationist of his works, tapping into deep wells of northern European melancholy. It’s a music made with no audience in mind, but simply to suit itself: cold-world kosmische, intimate minimal synth etudes, bowled percussion clusters and impossibly yearning, 30-days-of-night ambient dronescapes. Created mostly using a Juno60 and Korg MS20, and home-recorded to DAT (crackles and surface-noise preserved intact), you can hear in these seven expansive instrumentals unconscious echoes of Serge Bulot and Anna SjalveTreje’s crepuscular dream-sequences, Scandinavian black metal's mist-cloaked forest-fantasies, the austere dub-techno of Thomas Köner and Basic Channel, and the gristly, consumptive concrète of Nurse With Wound and Asmus Tietchens.

An inspired collaboration from two veteran producers on top of their game - Kassem Mosse and FIT Siegel. Three well-crafted techno and house tracks created from sessions recorded at Omar-S' FXHE Studios and FIT's studio at Submerge in Detroit in 2016, then mixed down by Siegel in 2018 after a few years of playing rough versions in his DJ sets in clubs around the world. Don't sleep on this diverse EP with sounds ranging from tripping acid workouts to dubbed out electronic excursions!

On Friday 25th March Parlophone Records release “Remixes” on double CD and triple vinyl LP. The album is an updated version of the 2020 Digital compilation of the same name, featuring mixes that were originally released between 1991 and 2021.

Alongside Kraftwerk’s own remixes, the album includes some of the world’s biggest DJs and Producers, including François Kervorkian, Orbital, Underground Resistance, DJ Rolando, Alex Gopher + Étienne de Crécy, William Orbit and Hot Chip.

Andreas Köhler studied cello and piano at Musikhochschule Karlsruhe and at Musikhochschule Basel. He experiments extensively from a soft base on the cello, for example, in the composition of the short elementary symphony. Then came a time for other musical experiences, alongside his formal training, experimenting with digital recordings, composition and arrangement skills. Sound Of K digs into the idea that the computer is to be treated as an instrument.

Brainwaltzera returns to FILM with a brace of archive recordings in the artist's characteristically idiosyncratic style.

The collection opens with FMsquared royal wavetable mellodies A, a mesmerizing beatless composition split across two contrasting movements. Synth-focused, the first explores a more introspective tone whilst the second is decidedly more elevated and playful. Follow up good endgar showcases the artist's enviable talent for crafting rolling, wide-open IDM, marrying crisp drum machine hits with washed out pads and a resonant bassline. WSsquared royal wavetable mellodies B follows the same pattern as mellodies A, split once again into two movements. This time each movement is markedly more distinct: the first, an atmospheric, half-time dirge and the second a more uplifting and esoteric workout, with crystalline FX breaking up the composition. On LANsqape4 short_oneTake Brainwaltzera lets the drums roll out, underpinning more lush synth work with a hint of a break closing in as the piece subsides near its close. Copperfeel, the penultimate offering, is the most reduced work in the collection with a single main melody doing the bulk of the legwork, and buoyed by vocal-sounding synths. FMsquared epiloggy beauvine bonus perc version closes the collection, a pleasing bookend that sees the riff from the opening track's latter movement return - now underpinned with rolling drums.

Digitalism has done a mix for the legendary K7! DJ Kicks series. And it is not a lie, on the contrary, it is nothing short of the truth to say, this is a dream come true for two young fellows from Germany. Twelve years ago, when they originally met, two record store workers in Hamburg, admiringly selling the DJ Kicks series to their customers adoring not just the event of each release, the dexterity of the mix but most importantly the protagonists behind each release, the artist, the DJ, the mixer.
