The agile, versatile Swiss artist Audiokern has put together a tightly focused body of musical work that projects his enthusiasm for a variety of genres, yet which is also colored by a peculiar ambiguity that situates him comfortably within a yet more interesting creative realm: the ever-expanding, restless, international network of artists who excel equally in building rhythmic structures and in crafting “cinema for the ear.”

Audiokern’s newest offering through his own Klangkeller imprint, Fog, is a fresh example of this tendency’s development, showcasing a coherent rhythmic drive and elastic groove, yet refusing to “give everything away” with an overly bright mix: seen this way, the record is best listened to as a series of incompletely formed environments whose exact features demand keen attention from the listener in order to be fully revealed. To that end, the additional talents of Samuel Rohrer (percussion) and Andrew Nimmo (saxophone) bring an extra degree of three-dimensionality to the proceedings.
The opening “Black Birds” vibrates with compelling noir jazz atmospheres, soldered together from fragments of cyborg electronics, saxophone and electric piano. This track calls to mind a host of possible influences (from vintage Cabaret Voltaire to mid-‘90s “illbient” hybrids), and is a most fitting soundtrack for an aimless, but sensorily engaged, stroll through an Alphaville-like atmosphere in which the present and future are indistinguishable from one another. Intriguingly, Samuel Rohrer’s “Black Birds” remix / reprise, appearing later in the program, is like an inverted image of its predecessor: it opts for a warmer and tighter atmosphere filled with hocketing percussion, showing the characteristic hallmarks of Rohrer’s vigorous style without distracting from the consistent, narrative feel of the full album.

The following title track accelerates the tempo significantly and, of course, makes good on that title, with a myriad of glimmering pulses and signals that announce themselves before tantalizingly disappearing into the tactile mist. It is another fine demonstration of Audiokern’s talent for creating an attractive ambiguity, as this network of mysteriously glowing sonic beacons may be signaling to one another or to the listener among them. “Wanted” extends the sensations sparked by “Fog,” with wordless snatches of voice fitting neatly into a sonic matrix of mixed techno-organic percussion.
“Set Off,” while adhering loosely to a “dub” template, still leaves several doors open for interpretation: the persistent clicking, plucked noises and synthetic breezes give it the sensory impact of a dense tropical forest distilled into a rhythm track. Audiokern saves the most kinetic, energetic moments on the disc for the final bow: the closer “A Dream Last Night” simmers with dark melodicism, yet again chooses to keep its secrets partially obscured. A final sample of film dialogue may provide listeners with a profound realization, that the evasiveness of virtual environments, like those we have heard up until this point, is a facsimile of the “fog” of dreams.

A couple of months after the release of Contemporary Spaces, four of Abstract Division's tracks get remixed. And who better suited for the job than label residents Stefan Vincent and Deepbass & Ness, and Dynamic Reflection debutants Tensal and Lewis Fautzi.

Tensal has reshaped 'The Hunt' into a powerful club-banger. The original synth is still present, although heavily processed by a number of echoes and reverbs. That, backed up by numerous noises going on in the background, makes it a Hunting piece of music indeed. Deepbass and Ness have taken 'Passenger' for their account and transformed it into something of their own, inimitable sound. Deep and subby kicks, complemented with complex soundscapes.

Lewis Fautzi's version of Encounter is clearly deeper than the original. The impellent synth and matching percussion, make it a fascinating trip to listen to. Stefan Vincent has formed Glide - the original EP's soundscape intro - into a beautiful piece of breakbeat-techno. And with that, he has provided the perfect outro for this remix-EP.

For all the WAV and MP3 heads, there's a digital bonus version of 'The Hunt' included as well. This one is provided by Dutch youngster Haeken, who turned it into a hypnotic loop with an authentic old school feel to it.

Self-styled ‘house husband, record producer’, DMX Krew, continues his effortless stretch of releases that date back to the early 90s, with a new album for Hypercolour.

His deft melodies and mechanical, electro-tinged beats have made for some classic albums in his repertoire, from his incredible run of albums for Rephlex Records, up to 2020’s ’Ghost Bubbles’ long player for Terrestrial Funk. And so ‘Loose Gears’ marks DMX Krew’s fourth album for British stalwarts, Hypercolour, and fans will not be disappointed.

Armed with an arsenal of hardware, and a head full of futuristic visions, ‘Loose Gears’ collects eleven tracks of the customary quality we have come to expect from DMX Krew.

From the funk laden ‘Solar Transit’ to bleepy chugger ‘Dejected Ambient Twerp’, the vibrant synths and spongy rhythms of ‘Torpedo Tube’ to the beatless wiggle of ‘Xpansion 2’, there’s much in store to be savoured on ‘Loose Gears’, as DMX Krew serves up another fine selection of electronic goodies.

This classic Techno release from 2009 is available on vinyl for the first time. "A Raver's Diary" has been a milestone in the noughties with it's groovy Techno beats and magical melodies. Shortly after the 10th annviversary Isolade offers a remastered RSD release on double vinyl which contains a download code for the album plus new remixes, new versions and all b-sides from the maxi releases of the "A Raver's Diary" era. The album comes with 180g vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.

Once upon a time, two operators stared at their screens. They sat silently for hours, their whole being dedicated to the task they had been assigned to. Days and nights passed in the same monotonous manner. Suddenly signals showed up on their monitors. Alarms started to ring. Both reacted at the same speed and did what they were supposed to do. Controls and commands were entered, as was protocol. After observing these waves for 61:01 minutes, everything became quiet again. What they had just witnessed made them wonder. For the first time they addressed each other. "The data is transferring through our system," announced the first. “Let us both check how this can be interpreted.” The second validated the response. Together, they looked at what had been recorded. Ideas raced through their complicated minds until they realized simultaneously: sounds! They listened. “Is this an unknown language?” one asked. “This is the first time this has been heard throughout our history,” the other answered. They listened again and again. “This electricity has been arranged to form a cohesive entity,” the first said. “Why would machines be used to create that?” the second mused. Something had awakened inside of them, an obsessive curiosity they had never experienced before. They did not understand and were blown away by the beauty of it. “Do you think it could have been left by humans before us?” one whispered. “If it was, these would be Major Signals,” the other concluded. As they processed these thoughts, the two artificial intelligences sat still.

When I was 22 I managed to acquire Techno Animal’s Demonoid 12” at a local record store, Rocking Horse Records. I can still recall the intensities of sound that marked the first moments of listening to it. The sense of bass as a tactile surface, that rolling groove and the howling sine waves and dub sirens that scorched with a type of sonic burning sensation that to this day makes my hairs stand on end. A year later I heard Ice’s Bad Blood, from there I discovered The Bug through a release on Wordsound, a band called God, a sound movement called isolationism and much more; all of these projects had one nexus point - Kevin Richard Martin.

In 2015, Kevin and I book-ended a series of concerts at Berghain for CTM festival. For his performance, Kevin debuted a new work I’d heard very little about called ’Sirens’. I remember two things distinctly about the performance. The first thing is he opened the set with a blazing passage of bass and dub sirens that instantly transported me back to those initial moments of encountering his work. The second was the feeling of absolute, crushing bass. Not before, or since, have I felt a sense of sound pressure like this. Unlike his other work with The Bug for example, the consistent bass carrying in the space was literally breathtaking and there were moments when it seemed difficult to see clearly as my eye sockets were vibrating in a way I’d never experienced.

Sirens, which documents the intensities surrounding the delivery and early days of his first child, carries in it a sense of deep affect. The album, unlike the live work, traces out a dynamic sound world that is both tender and caustic. It charts the emotional rollercoaster that is the arrival of parenthood, heightened through the complex circumstances of his wife's emergency procedures during the birth and two further life threatening operations for his son, in the first month of the child's life. Within each piece, microcosms of sensation unfold, Kevin clearly and deftly manoeuvres us through the tumultuous journey. Seconds become hours, and hours become seconds; Sirens somehow creates a sense of time that is without anchor and is foggy in a way that is profoundly unique (and frankly pleasurable).

Kevin Richard Martin has remained a point of constant inspiration for me over several decades now. To have the opportunity to share his first ever solo recording, one that arguably opens an entirely new side of his practice, brings me the utmost pride. His work has impacted so very much on me at various points and I know I am not alone in this situation. His new work, Sirens is a life journey transposed into sound that is truly personal, but effortlessly universal. It is the start of a new chapter for Kevin and one that I know will only strengthen his place as one of the critical voices in contemporary electronic music.

LPost-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles is Nicola Kazimir's debut album. It features 30min full of diverse, rough, evil, melancholic electronic music compositions either partly sampled out of important melodies in his life or fully produced by him. Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles LP draws from contemporary and past cultural references evolving around institutional-critique, occultism and dividualism and manifests those via metatags or sonic compositions.

Nicola Kazimir is a part of the collective Les Points based in Zürich, Switzerland.
His art/music draws from 90's rave utopias, decentralized & dividual thought, institutional-critique, occultism, progressive & accessible frameworks as showcased at their offspace Mikro -
a physical room which has no doors and opening times during exhibitions and raves - making an institution available to all social layers.
His recordlabels "Les Points" and the newly founded "Gentrified Underground" appropriate those ideas and transfer them to the distribution channels of electronic music.
Nicola refuses genre-stigmas and explores a vast number of genres in his dj-sets and productions - his newest LP "Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles" being an example of that diversity.

Nicson is Seville-based Spanish producer Vicente Rodriguez, founder of Flumo Recordings, who makes his Third Ear debut with a dark, rolling House record. Two tracks are collaborations with Skinnybone Love. Trippy and deep.

The next release in our 'Perennial' series is from veteran producer Lee Norris, also known as
Metamatics, the pseudonym under which he has spent more than two decades creating
melodic IDM and sophisticated electro.

Norris is an artist who warrants his cult following with an extensive catalogue and countless
monikers, including his main work as Metamatics and alternative projects Norken, Nacht Plank,
Ishqamatics and Autumn Of Communion. This unflagging artist with an enviable track record
behind him has released material on labels such as Delsin, Hydrogen Dukebox, Dot, Numbers
and Clear, as well as running his own record labels Neo Ouija, ...txt, XTT Recordings and
Nagual.

His seminal EP series '01', '02', '03' and '04' was originally released between 1997 and 1998 on
the now defunct but influential Clear label. Compiled as 'A Metamatics Production', the tracks
breathed fresh air into the global IDM scene and were comprised of crystal clear futuristic
sounds, flirting with complex and funky drum & bass that carried both UK and Detroit
influences, a true masterpiece.

More than twenty years since its original release, Lapsus Records is proud to present the
British producer's original debut album 'A Metamatics Production', released in full and on vinyl
for the first time. All tracks on this special collectors double-pack colour vinyl release have been
remastered and will include a limited edition insert.

Coming hot on the heels of their debut release (a stunning record by ROAR), French imprint WORK IN PROGRESS returns here in triumphant and eclectic fashion courtesy of a record that does their reputation as serious party-starters no harm at all. Again featuring the talents of ROAR, this is a dizzyingly eclectic record that fans of smile-induing house and disco are sure to admire especially. The A1, the title track, ‘I Wanna This Record’ is a case in point. A really vibe-heavy disco-centric track that’s notable for its killer vocals and acid techno flashes, it’s an unlikely gem of the sort that will light up any floor. For their contribution, London duo The Willers Brothers turn the track on its head, opting instead for a more straight-up, 4/4 remix. Muscular and full of wonders, it’s without doubt a neat addition to the original’s charms.

The B side sees ROAR side up with Zolbaran courtesy of another cheeky and playful track, ‘Neukolln Baila La Bamba’ Starting toward pop sensibilities in a manner not dissimilar to Kompakt, this one pulls at the heartstrings in much the same way that Gui Boratto’s best work does. An emotive, pleasure-seeking cut that’s hard not to love, that’s for sure. Closing out the release is the no-less assured sounding strands of ‘Modulando El Piano’, which sees ROAR & Zolboran go toe-to-toe with Nico Forster for a sultry, piano-heavy gem that’s never boring and always unpredictable. Unconventional sounds that evoke memories of Perlon and Kompakt, WORK IN PROGRESS’ latest is a joy to behold.

Eagle eyes will remember that Super Rhythm Trax 005, the Miami Bass special, was produced by SImon alongside long time collaborator, Bass Junkie and its a pleasure to finally welcome him back to the label.

Echocord returns this March with a new EP from El Choop, backed by a remix from Sven Weisemann. Harvey Bones, better known to most as El Choop is a London based producer and DJ delivering dub leaning house and techno via the likes of Etui Records, Greyscale and now Echocord, a perfect home for his subtly nuanced, intricately unfolding aesthetic. Leading is title-track ‘Insane Sends’, employing a sturdy kick, cavernous percussion and choppy stab sequences, as the name would suggest all dynamically modulating across the composition’s six-minute duration. ‘Some Fall Harder Than Others’ then follows, embracing a more stripped back feel atmospherically, bringing filtered dub chords, ethereal pad textures and rounded subs into focus while dusty drums carry the hypnotic groove. Label regular Sven Weisemann then rounds out the release with his ‘Angelis Sends Mix’ of ‘Insane Sends’, a twelve-minute interpretation embracing a cinematic feel via expansive synth atmospherics, spiralling dub echoes and metallic chimes, all ebbing and flowing amongst one another throughout while a bumpy drum groove keep things moving.

Turbulent synths ooze and oscillate, roaming like searchlight beacons across darkened shores. The experimental and idiosyncratic sound of duo Inkasso explores the feeling of being cast adrift in disorientating, mechanical worlds. In the studio, the pair jam with drills, string instruments, field recordings and everyday objects to create a hypnotic cacophony. Kosh exploded onto the electro scene in 2018 with his debut release 'Null 212' on Casa Voyager records. The track that received the most attention was 'Catch The Train' with it's faultless modern take on classic Detroit electro reminiscent of Cybotron and Aux 88. AIt became a big track for 20/20 Vision founder Ralph Lawson who quickly invited Kosh to record for the label.

Kosh - 'Vicious Love' is a diverse 4 track EP showing off the Moroccan producers faultless production skills with the A-side featuring 'An Arab in Space' that continues to bring the classic sound of Detroit right up to date while title track 'Vicious Love' pushes into new territories, incorporating acid tinged synths, vocoded vocals and an insistent fast paced bassline. On the flip side 'She Gets Mad' is a straight up dance floor filler from the school of Casablanca while 'Headache' is precisely the opposite experience from the title with a relaxed, lush jam that oozes Larry Heard influences.

I was initially intrigued by the artwork for Mark's New Routes out of Innerland. It felt so familiar. I had to have a listen. Upon hearing it I was shocked to find out how much I loved the music. It was a beautiful blend of the things I loved about ambient music and what my partner calls "Space Rock". I had never heard Innerland and I was already taking New Routes out of it I needed to buy Innerland. So I did some research - found out Mark was on Sonic Cathedral label and contacted Nat over there who ended up being super helpful and friendly. I was able to get Innerland and A journey through Ambient Innerland in vinyl. It is no wonder I was drawn to the music, a frequent collaborator with Ulrich Schnauss, Mark's work is at once blues, ambient and psychedelic.

Perc Trax slips out its first cheeky white label in over two years, pulling together two secret weapons from Perc's sets this year. First off Perc Trax newcomer Tymon rips into Perc's own 'Hyperlink' giving it a shot of adrenalin which has been eating festivals alive all summer.

On the B-side Ansome returns to Perc Trax for the first time since in infamous 'British Steel' release twisting Manni Dee's 'London Isn't England' into a grinding mass of kick drums and percussion, layering Ewa Justka's vocal over one of his rawest productions to date.

Ai Yamamoto is a Japanese born and Melbourne, Australia based artist who has been making music since the early 2000's. With her first album on PITP, 'Love me Tender,' Ai composes free structured songs, brushed with gentle melodies using piano, strings, wind instruments, and various textures. Created over the span of 2018-2020, Ai's careful focus on the mixing process give the tracks a spacious yet intimate sound through mindful cultivation. ANMON was born from the collaboration of French producers DJ Saint Pierre and Ténèbre. Through rearranged recorded live jams, their music is a series of fast-paced experiments at the fringe of the techno spectrum. Built for the stage and trance-induced listening experiences, Anmon summons a renewed tribal spirit - an unexpected resurgence of the sonic aesthetics of freeparties via their very own interpretation.

Inhabited Shadows” is the new album by pioneering, Berlin-based techno artist Headless Horseman. This is his most daring and emotional release to date: the culmination of live performance, studio experimentation, and global exploration.

A total sonic experience, “Inhabited Shadows” takes listeners on a deeply personal journey through Headless Horseman’s creative brain. Dark industrial synths and broken beats form the spinal chord. A spirit of lightness and compassion guides the way forward.

From its opening, the album sets hard edges and metallic surfaces against dense and delicate textures. A-tonal figures and percussive attacks merge with melodic flights and soulful rhythms. Classical counterpoint and cinematic soundscapes conspire together. The result is discordant joy.

Headless Horseman’s vitality comes from his determination to remain open and vulnerable as an artist. “Inhabited Shadows”, recorded over eight months in 2019, reflects a period of intensive growth. Each of its nine tracks ventures into uncharted territory, embracing many moods, changing climates, old ghosts, and new risks.

“Over years of trials and tribulations, music has been the antidote”, says Headless Horseman. “I’ve learned to live in shadows and darkness. Now I’m chipping off pieces of my shell and portraying directly how I feel without compromise. I still inhabit shadows, but I can move back and forth between darkness and light.”

Ben Pest returns under his alias OverworX and the third instalment of banging acidic rave. With a firm reputation for jacking live sets and productions laced with hard funk, this 12” offers up 4 styles: Rumbling 808/303 electro, Chi-town influenced techno, 90s-esq breaks n’ acid and cold grimey bass. The Detached Observation EP kicks off with Paradise Crane - a deep and dreamy production carried by soaring synths that echo throughout. Valentino Mora builds upon the soundscape left by Rai, remixing with fine affect as he introduces a simplistic yet highly effective tech groove to complement her work well.

The B side sees Rai offer up a balearic feel with rich horn lines dancing around a haze of muffled bass line and soft kicks. The EP comes to close with more delightful reverb soaked chords which are carried by liquid smooth hats from start to finish coming together in fine form for the title track.

Dubfire’s relationship with Gregor Tresher started 12 years ago, when the producer remixed Gregor’s signature track ‘A Thousand Nights’. Ever since it was clear that the German talent would have his own release on SCI+TEC. For the minimal melodic two-tracker ‘Ghostmachine’, Gregor teamed up with his longtime collaborator and Croatian legend Petar Dundov. This collaboration is one that never disappoints.

Two Sided Agency's third release delivers four rolling techno and acid work outs for sweaty basements and concrete dance floors. The full sleeve artwork expertly executed by New York artist Alex Heir completes the release after a one year hiatus. Two Sided Agency consistently maintains the quality of it's nuanced output. Direct and full of energy, acid lines and pure groove instantly captured the listeners attention. Rising Australian DJ and producer Andy Garvey debuts on X-Kalay showcasing her take on deep and breaksy electro.

Title track and A1 “More Than Meets the Eye” is a thoughtful, finely crafted cut. Built around a weighty acid riff, stacked pads and a delicate twinkling melody, it’s as equally suited to the introspection of headphone listening as it is the club. Next up, “This Silence is False” darkens the mood and ups the tempo - the stepping rhythm and frantic breaks making it perfect material for those later floors.

On the B “Double Planetoid” has echoes of early Massive Attack; a superbly expansive track of swelling pads and undulating bass, it drifts in and out of focus underpinned by a chunky breakbeat and shimmering hi hats. Finally, closing things out is fellow Australian Tred’s rework of “This Silence is False”. He remixes Andy’s original into a 160 BPM techno monster, utilising the acid line perfectly and pumping it with pure 4x4 energy. Heat!

Anton Kubikov(half of SCSI-9 duo) returns to MAYAK with a tripy two-tracker. Strictly analog hardware polished by his talent delivered great groove. IN is a classic house track with some acidelic touch, that will make crowd dance for whole 10 minutes, while OUT is a deep dub dive.

Kovyazin D returns to Craigie Knowes for the first time since 2017. 'Last August' is packed from start to finish with post-apocalyptic club-sludge, forged with the slap and kick that has been woven into Kovyazin's productions for the best part of a decade. A long-overdue reunion between artist and label that does not fall short of expectations.

LPost-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles is Nicola Kazimir's debut album. It features 30min full of diverse, rough, evil, melancholic electronic music compositions either partly sampled out of important melodies in his life or fully produced by him. Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles LP draws from contemporary and past cultural references evolving around institutional-critique, occultism and dividualism and manifests those via metatags or sonic compositions.

Nicola Kazimir is a part of the collective Les Points based in Zürich, Switzerland.
His art/music draws from 90's rave utopias, decentralized & dividual thought, institutional-critique, occultism, progressive & accessible frameworks as showcased at their offspace Mikro -
a physical room which has no doors and opening times during exhibitions and raves - making an institution available to all social layers.
His recordlabels "Les Points" and the newly founded "Gentrified Underground" appropriate those ideas and transfer them to the distribution channels of electronic music.
Nicola refuses genre-stigmas and explores a vast number of genres in his dj-sets and productions - his newest LP "Post-Heretic Dracula X Chronicles" being an example of that diversity.

Cloak is very well known for his party series Void and Rebis and managing a small cafe bar in Frankfurt's redlight district.
After his first release in 2015 on Anselm's Unequal Records, where his style was a lot more broken beat-oriented, he's now coming over with definitely faster, metallic driven and more four-on-the-floor rooted beats and dithers in between industrial and classic techno. All tracks are an ode to analog production gear and non-compromising dance floor-oriented!.

Dutch duo Deep Dimension serve up four massive techno cuts for 'Rave Slave' on Rekids.

Drawing on more than two decades of solo experiences, GEN X co-founders Jeffrey Hek and Jimmy van de Geijn came together as Deep Dimension in 2015. Debuting on Rekids last year with 'So 1992', their signature sound is built on deep basslines and forceful kicks with regular support from Radio Slave, Sam Paganini, Luca Agnelli, Joseph Capriati and Chris Liebing. They now return to the respected imprint with a robust package aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

'Rave Slave' fully asserts itself from the off with industrial synth lines and machine gun-like hits. Dark, filtered vocals add to the ghoulish effect while stomping kicks are sure to decimate dancefloors. The excellently heavy 'Audio Space' has more seriously weight percussion and foundation shaking hits, this time overlaid with clipped female vocal stabs and haunting effects that trail off into the distance. This is warehouse techno at its finest.

The powerful 'Strong Than Steel' then drills down with droning synth lines and blistering kicks. It barrels along with plenty of tension and suspense cleverly built into the breakdowns and truly hammers along once it drops again. The brilliantly big finale is 'Planet E', an edgy techno trip with blistering, old school and hard techno drums with frazzled stabs bringing strobe-lit rave vibes.

Danach kam lange Zeit nichts, bis eine neue Generation - von HVOB bis Parov Stelar, von Dorian Concept bis Elektro Guzzi - sehr nachdrücklich eigene markante Sound- und Leuchtspuren setzte. Und nun kündigt sich abermals ein Zeitsprung an.
Zu große Töne gespuckt? Nein. Selbst Christian Fennesz zieht schon den Hut. Vor Drahthaus. Einer Band, die eigentlich keine Band ist. Noch nicht einmal eines der vielen Projekte, die immer und überall rasch entstehen und noch rascher wieder vergehen. Hier ist etwas radikal anderes im Kommen. Das 2015 gegründete Kollektiv Drahthaus ist ein Zusammenschluss diverser in Wien lebender Kreativer (Musiker, Künstler, Designer, Filmemacher, Techniker, Programmierer, Handwerker, Veranstalter und Kreativer jeglichen Geschlechts) mit der Vision, alte Strukturen in Frage zu stellen. Und Raum für gänzlich Neues zu schaffen.
Die Faktoren Lust, Neugier, Fachwissen und künstlerische Vernetzung sind mit im Spiel. Auch wenn Drahthaus den anarchischen Freiraum der Kunst mit präzisen, systematischen, analytischen Fragestellungen vermessen. Im April erscheint das erste Album - es trägt keinen Titel. After the worldwide techno hit that was Darc Marc's "Dirty Rocking Bass" comes the next Cluster X instalment from French legend GANEZ THE TERRIBLE. "The Rave..." is another prime time techno monster from the Acid Techno/Techno underground that is going to cause massive dancefloor mayhem with its cheeky 'The rave, the sound, the people, the party" sample and hard funky beats and 303 stabs. With pounding remixes from D.A.V.E. THE DRUMMER, and new kid-on-the-block SEON, and a kicking bonus track "Elevator" from Ganez himself this gives a nod to all areas of harder techno.

Improvising as a way to end a track, a moment in time lasting forever, a singularity as a constant: this is the illusion created by I:Cube for these Cubo Live Sessions: to jam and to edit, a free conversation with his machines.
This new found freedom is a natural evolution following years of hard work in the Versatile basement. We used to hear Cube sweating for days on a single sound or loop, we know through those Live Sessions that Cube has realised that perfection is not of this world. Or rather that perfection precisely is that ephemeral instant, that will to capture a dream and bring back a fragment from his multidimensional travels.
From this precarious equilibrium, this big bang, proceeds an entire universe, an almost living organism. I:Cube always touched by grace, smiling demiurge building track by track an ever growing intimacy with his listeners.

Martin Buttrich, a name synonymous for decades with expertly curated sonic productions, has had a career as long as it has been prolific. From youthful productions as an 18 year old under the alias 'X-Rotation', to his 2010 debut album 'Crash Test' and its follow-up 'Collaborator, Vol. 1' in 2016, he is an artist who has constantly evolved. Now he's back to showcase his latest EP 'Northeast / Southwest' on Planet E, due for release on 1 February. 'It's been 11 years since my last full release on Planet E and I am so happy to be able to kick off 2019 in style and return to my spiritual home. I spent the last few months working on these tracks at my studio in Barcelona and am looking forward to sharing them with you'. - Martin Buttrich The opening track 'Northeast' sees punchy stabs interlace with a shifting melodic bass, both dancing playfully over and under shuffling snares and hats which carry the listener from start to finish. 'Southwest' continues on with a bouncing percussive groove that provides the platform for a canorous bassline and string melody to emerge.

At the latest since groundbreaking releases on labels like Music Man and R&S Belgian techno stands for intense and atmospheric tunes which have that certain something that touches the listeners and dancers.

And without any doubt Michael Forzza and Dimitri Andreas have helped to shape this style and vibe, amongst others with releasing „Kahana“ in 2005.

Marc Romboy has always been a big fan of this tune so that it was a matter of time to plan a re-release including the original mix in a remastered way and three new versions which are more than audiolicious!

Barcelona´s specialists for ethereal techno, Fur Coat, come around with an extremely respect version which brings that certain early 90s dream techno vibe a la „The Age Of Love“ together with their typical contemporary and atmospheric sound.

Music Man´s finest Petar Dundov adds his best known sound signature to the tune while Forzza and Andrweas themselves master the impossible, as they transform the tune into a modern frame although keeping the original vibe.

New listeners and gourmets reminiscing about the good old times, noone will be disappointed at all!

It’s a great joy to host our long time friend and collaborator, Theo Delaunay aka Panoptique aka Constance Chlore, to release his first solo album on Macadam Mambo. Head of the Simple Music Experience label (dedicated to release punk experiment on tape), member of Violent Quand On Aime, Succhiamo, Simplists, Ono Omen and United Assholes, he had previously been part of the “Danzas Electricas” volumes 1 and 3, released a little single in 2019 and curated the “Simple Music Experience Vol.2” compilation in the house. Panoptique stick to what he knows to do the best, to present his stories, singing spoken words, gogolitos deliriums, whispers and rough voices on Minimal Synth Wave ballads or Drexciyan’s Electro bangers, it’s brut, mental, sometimes brutal and so so groovy in the meanwhile. Special mention to his guest Fiesta En El Vacio for her ‘caliente’ featuring on “Menta Y Regaliz”.
