Welcome to the richly rhythmic and deeply esoteric world of Zaliva-D. Based in the Chinese capital of Beijing, they've been circling the country's borders for more than a decade due to the extreme difficulty of streaming music there. Zaliva-D consists of musician Li Chao and Aisin-Gioro Yuanjin, who's responsible for their stunning live visuals. We're very proud to present Forsaken, their 4th album, but first ever vinyl release. Wrapped around a core of gut wrenchingly ferocious kicks and haunting vocals, these tracks possess a mantra-like quality and drown the listener into a world of Chinese and South East Asian textures. Forsaken, mastered by Wouter Brandenburg, is their most well-written, organic and esoteric record to date, showing a more fragile, sensitive side. Soon Zaliva-D will perform on European soil, accompanied by this Knekelhuis debut.

Amish Boy a.k.a. Sküge (not to be confused with Skudge) is Hugues Croibien, a thirty seven year old Belgian who has experimented with electronic music since his teens. With a diet of Seal Phüric, The Prodigy, Autechre and Unit Moebius stoking his primordial fire, Croibien began to align with the rage that exists in the Breakcore genre. Already an addict of reggae and dub at this time, Croibien decided to create some cut-up Raggacore with his brand new Ableton Live 3 software.

Meanwhile with friends, Croibien created 'Break n 'Brol', a non-lucrative association which tried to promote alternative electronic music in Liège where he lived. They premiered some Bassline stars "Kanji Kinetic" and "Squire of Gothos" on the Belgian scene, alongside other alternative electronic composers and musicians like Subjex, Ebola, Mustard Gunn and Herrmutt Lobby. The fellowship decided to create a free net label to release compilations with the BNB party artists.

The rough style techno resurgence over the last few years has precipitated a metamorphosis; Sküge became Amish Boy - more glitchy than techno, more offbeat than acid and more ambivalent than industrial. Although heavily invested for two decades now, 'Laika test Project' on Power Vacuum will be Croibien's first vinyl release, with a follow-up already in the pipeline.

Following on from 'Dimensional Space' on Echospace (Detroit), dub techno legend CV313, aka Stephen Hitchell offers up his second album, 'Glass City Sessions' on Minimood, featuring five profoundly immersive tracks that come as a double vinyl release only. CV313's signature dub techno sound has been a blueprint for the genre and is created on vintage hardware, all sounds, static, tones and paranormal occurrences are left in to render it as atmospheric as it is.

The five expansive recordings that make up the abum are actually based on live recordings from a DEMF aftershow night back in 2000 in Detroit. The music is a bit creepy and so was the experience of this live show' says Stephen Hitchell, It was an old dingy warehouse about 10 miles out of downtown Detroit, right next to the now abandoned Eloise asylum, but there are many stories of it still being haunted'. Indeed, that theme of haunted locations around Detroit echoes through the five tracks and makes them a truly cinematic experience.

Opening things up on the first record is the brilliantly dark 'Belle Isle Symphonics,' twelve frosty minutes of hunched-over drums and rattling metal sounds that place you in the centre of a large abandoned building. 'Masonic Mystic' is much sparser and more eerie, with watery chords and warm static suspending you in an unsettling calm atmosphere, but one that always feel like something strange is around the corner.

On the second record the superb 'Stars Above Elmwood' lifts the shadowy mood somewhat with more airy dub techno drums and pensive chords rippling out in all directions. It's warm, expansive, and utterly absorbing for more than 13 minutes. 'Two Way Inn' continues the trip in fine style with gentle chords and barely there drums, comforting white noise and distant pads all sinking you into a state of meditation before the masterful 'Eloise's Theme' arrives, an ambient-ish masterpiece with horizontal chords gently moving up and down the scales to trap you in a soothing state, but always with an undercurrent of foreboding.

IMOW, or 'In My Own Wave' - Atmospheric, cinematic, stirring and utterly engaging, this is surely Sienkiewicz's most personal work to date and very possibly his best!

IMOW, or 'In My Own Wave' is a moody record. Although overtly experimental in form, it's quite different to Sienkiewicz's abstract, improvisational albums recorded with Max Loderbauer or AtomTM. Clocking in only 35 minutes and comprising of eight tracks, 'IMOW' is several years of work distilled into a dense, concise whole. Atmospheric, cinematic, stirring and utterly engaging, this is surely Sienkiewicz's most personal work to date and very possibly his best: his constant struggle to find a perfect balance of flesh and machine, or to translate human emotions to sound by means of a modern studio is manifested here in its purest, most consistent and, surprisingly, very accessible form. From subtle drones, through chants and rhythms echoing in mountainous chambers, to innumerable insect-like sounds and tiny details, it's an encephalogram recorded to tape (or disk). With all its complexity, it's not overwhelming: the meticulously constructed compositions leave both space for the sounds to breathe, and for the listener to fully experience it, without being bored, tired, wishing for less or being hungry for more. And there's beauty in this record, and hope - in the world of overpowering darkness and constant noise 'IMOW' feels like a peaceful trip into the untouched nature with all its wonders - offering in equal parts rest, strength and inspiration.

Ukrainian Techno artist Yan Cook is swiftly turning into one of Planet Rhythm's usual suspects. The follow up to this years XX LP comes in the form of a 12'' package called ''Loophole EP'' 4 deep and dark Techno cuts that represent the Yan Cook sound to the fullest. Expect swells, cleverly placed Arps that are all part of his rhythm driven signature sound.

The new album will be released across a series of 4 limited edition 12" vinyls. This is the 2nd 12 inch From Tronic Jazz The Berlin Sessions. A Guy Called Gerald has spent the last couple of years flitting through shadows, turning up on labels like Perlon, Beatstreet and Sender like a peripatetic prophet of the Berlin underground, seeding the scene with cryptic singles that return to the past to suggest alternate futures. Now he returns to Berlin's Laboratory Instinct label with the follow-up to 2006's Proto Acid: The Berlin Sessions, the album that re-established Gerald as an acid hero and techno auteur. Tronic Jazz: The Berlin Sessions builds upon the foundation established by its predecessor to create an even more powerful statement of intent, one that communicates more persuasively than ever Gerald's vision for techno in its third decade of existence. One immediate difference stands out, this time around. Where Proto Acid offered a seamless mix of 24 cuts, recorded in one epic session, Tronic Jazz collects 13 standalone tracks. That's welcome news to DJs. After so many years of digital anything-goes, you might have forgotten the kind of sounds that are possible with "old" machines: the way a lead stacked against tuned percussion and shrouded in pads can evoke still other sounds, hidden in the mix, or maybe not really there at all. It's a ghostly, suggestive presence, a kind of evocation of infinite possibility within the context of a limited set of inputs. In that sense, Tronic Jazz follows a certain minimalist impulse, but it's far too lush ever to be mistaken for the dread "mnml" of recent years. This stuff is wide-eyed and full of life. When it funks, it funks hard, and when it smoothes out, it can be as intimate as a hand-written note left on a lover's pillow. As "class ic" as Tronic Jazz may be, the album refutes any notion that "class ic" equals "retro," that the ideas have all been expressed before. Tronic Jazz takes the foundations of house and techno as though they were a kind of language, and speaks volumes with them.

A strong desire to propel music into the next sonic century leads Ae:ther, gifting us with the futuristic 'Stardancer' on Crosstown Rebels.

The EP opens with Stardancer - an emotive and deeply mesmeric track that weaves together a twinkling and trance-like rhythm with a driving techno beat. On the flip, Ultravox builds with intensity, creating a cinematic ambience, balancing ethereal synths with a pounding beat.

Ae:ther has been an explorer of sound for many years. His study of sound design whilst living in Milan, enables him to add an extra layer of depth to his productions - experimental and ambient, yet still able to entice dancers to the floor. He's had music signed to Tale Of Us' Afterlife imprint and his productions have attracted the attention of Damian Lazarus who commissioned him to remix his single All I Need with the Ancient Moons. Lazarus has also signed Ae:ther's debut album. 2019 is shaping up to be a big year for the Berlin-based producer with a new release on Afterlife in the pipeline as well as plans to unveil his spectacular live-show to the world.

UK South coast hardware maniac Chris Moss Acid turns his attention towards '92 style hardcore oldskool breaks and rave. Getting serious props from the likes of Truss, Anja Schneider, Colin Dale, De Sluwe Vos, Lauren Flax, Chrissy, Photonz, Boxia, Justin Robertson, Volvox, Alienata, Skream, and loads more. Vinyl is limited to 303 copies, hand numbered edition.

The charmed ascent of Eagles & Butterflies, and his intertwined fate with Innervisions, reaches its most fully-realised moment. From his acclaimed Secret Weapons appearances - 'The Story That Never Ends' in 2015, and 2016's 'X' - the British producer has further refined his layered, complex sound world, and set the underground ablaze with a series of masterful sketches.

Koehler was hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky. This is his first offering for the ESP Institute. Side A recalls the hazy memory of an ear-worm chant heard over a decade ago on the streets of Thailand, a melody that since haunted the artist and has finally been exorcised by his own hand in the shape of 'Melencolia V'. Somewhere between an enchanted bashment and a sailor's watering hole, Koehler found a gargantuan kick drum that lands solely on the 4, slammed it together with a wide pulsing bassline and brutalized Dancehall snare, then laced it all up with his elusive synth melody. Add to this a generous sprinkle of finely-ground cosmic dust and we're all tripping the light fantastic. On the flip side, the artist buckles up for a rough and rapid-paced journey with 'Invidiosa' — a relentless snare scrapes, gouges and corrodes over 7 minutes, coupling with a simplistic bass loop and swiftly marauding through a demented assembly line, accumulating various nuts and bolts of instrumentation along the way — an undeniable dancefloor exciter for those hours when the club becomes unhinged, dancing becomes raving, and slightly more audacious folk can channel their inner truth. These two songs will have you question your existence.

LSD ist eine andauernde musikalische Kollaboration zwischen den langjährigen Innovatoren elektronischer Musik, Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell und David Sumner. Als LSD konzentrieren sie sich auf die psychedelischen Aspekte von Techno und betonen gleichzeitig ihre sich jeweils überschneidenden Stile und rhythmische Sensibilität.

Die persönlichen Beziehungen der drei lassen sich über Kontinente und Entwicklungen innerhalb von Dance Music zurückverfolgen. Steve lud Luke erstmals Anfang der 90er Jahre zu seiner legendären LOST-Partyreihe in London ein, was zu gegenseitigen Remixes auf zukunftsweisende Techno-Labels wie Cosmic Records und Nova Mute führte. Rund eine Dekade später - im Jahr 2000 - befreundete sich der gebürtige New Yorker Dave mit Steve, nachdem er ihn eingeladen hatte, im Club Limelight in Manhattan zu spielen. Im Laufe der Zeit kam es zwischen Dave und Luke zu zahlreichen Begegnungen, aber erst im Jahr 2009 festigte sich ihre Beziehung und führte schließlich zu einer Koproduktion Daves von Lukes frühem L.B. Dub Corp-Material (- Roller', 2013).

Die gemeinsame Saat für LSD wurde im Juli 2015 im Moulin Rouge, Paris während eines gemeinsamen Gigs anlässlich Functions Berghain 07-Mixes gepflanzt. Dort tauschte das Trio Gedanken zu einer Kollaboration aus, die die Grenze zwischen DJing und Live-Performance verwischen würde, während jeder von ihnen separate Stücke und Spuren manipuliert und das Ganze unvorhersehbar (de)konstruiert. Ursprünglich gedacht als einmaliger Auftritt anlässlich eines Berghain-Closing-Sets am 17. Juli 2016 beschlossen die drei später, seinen Entwurf lysergischer Maschinenmusik mit der ersten 3-Track 12' weiterzuentwickeln.

- Process 1' fackelt nicht lange: übersteuerte, vielschichtige Kicks und Hi-Hats setzen unvermittelt ein; eine kräftige, malmende Synth-Figur windet sich um entfernt klingende Sirenen, bevor der Rhythmus Stück für Stück dekonstruiert wird. - Process 2' nimmt ähnlich schnell Fahrt auf undentfaltet eine Sogkraft aus schrillen Drones und Alarmsignalen über das gesamte Klangspektrum hinweg. Synkopierte Hi-Hats und Synthfilter öffnen und schließen sich, bevor schließlich die volle Weitung erreicht ist. In - Process 3' wird eine musikalisch breitere Landschaft mit Bleeps gefüllt, bevor sich LSD schließlich klanglich gedämpfteren Gebieten zuwenden. Dort greifen Synthesizer-Arpeggios das Tempo wieder auf, bevor das Stück in einem langgezogenen Ausklang mündet.

Als Ganzes betont Process halluzinogene und gestaltwandelnde Klangelemente, ohne sich auf das weiter gefasste Konzept des Trips zu konzentrieren. Stattdessen liefern Luke, Steve und Dave ihre Interpretation stroboskopischer Intensität auf dem Gipfel psychedelischer Erlebnisse - durchsetzt mit Momenten hypnotischer und atonaler Melodien, so treibend wie bezaubernd.

To say the past 2 years have been busy for Peggy Gou would perhaps be an understatement. Prolific both in the studio and behind the decks, 2016 saw the release of no less than four EPs across three labels. Her two-part 'Art Of War' series on Rekids was interspersed with a contribution to our own 'Phonica White' series of 12's.Gou is an old regular of the store, and the result, 'Day Without Yesterday' / 'Six O Six', was a pair of offbeat club anthems that showed a funkier side on the former title and her first initial foray into vocals on the acidic latter. Following her huge landmark Ninja Tune release, Peggy gets to release one of her earlier favourites - a subtle deep house groover that comes complete with a remix from one of her favourite DJs, Ge-ology. The Baltimore native relocated to New York City in the 80s where he has found acclaim for over two decades, however he remains somewhat of a mystery. Over the course of his career, he's worked with the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jill Scott, De La Soul, Yukimi Nagano (Little Dragon), Jem and even a young Tupac Shakur. After years of producing dominantly hip-hop tempo releases, he defiantly returned in 2015 with the well-received dance floor monster 'Moon Circuitry' on Theo Parrish's esteemed Sound Signature imprint. Although his roots in composing 4-on-the-floor dance tempo music dates as far back as his earliest hip-hop beats, this seemingly 'new' direction boldly challenged expectations based on his previous body of work yet his very first production appearance came in the form of a collaboration with the Baltimore-based house music legends, The Basement Boys, who used one of his tracks for their 'Those Guys' moniker in 1993.Here, he takes Peggy's laidback track and adds his own touch, taking the initial riff and layering several lines of groovy kicks before introducing a sharp synth stab. Harder-hitting than its predecessor, Ge-ology's edit is a supremely danceable cut, and better suited to the late-night floor than Peggy's more mellow original .Artwork as always is supplied by the talented Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

Produced at different stages over the course of an entire year, the Conscious EP is the sound of two producers at the peak of their powers. In one corner is Rossko, the longstanding FUSE resident, best known for his knack for unearthing cutting-edge house and techno sounds— and a man who values a quality-over-quantity approach to production. In the other is Per Hammar, the Sweden-born, Berlin-based resident of Malmo's much-respected Kiloton party and the owner of the Dirty Hands and 10YEARS labels. Rossko's second release on Fuse-affiliated labels and the first collaboration between the pair, this stifling hot three-tracker has already won support from label boss Enzo Siragusa and Seb Zito, with both DJs using the record to great effect in recent sets for Mixmag.

We kick off with the brilliantly trippy and relentless strands of 'Unconscious'. A hypnotic cut that's hypnotic, playful and thoroughly unpredictable, it showcases both producers' knack for high class tech-house with some panache. A fascinating sign of things to come, it gets us underway in seriously auspicious fashion.

Middle track 'Subbconscious' is one that's been lighting up dancefloors for a while now, with both long-standing Fuse founder Enzo Siragusa and long-time Fuse member Seb Zito both using the track to great effect at Fuse's recent 10 year celebrations. A perc-heavy track that's imbued with some wonderful tribal samples, the atmosphere is duly brought up a notch here by the time the track heads for deeper pastures. A thoroughly engaging and unique proposition, 'Subconscious' is very much the sound of an impressive and reciprocal collaborative effort.

Rounding off the release is the suitably-named 'Dubbsconcious'. A nimble, quick-footed gem that again showcases the pair's understanding (as well as their love for off-kilter motifs), this one is all about the relentlessness of the groove. A canny DJ tool that should keep the night ticking over at a consistent pace, it closes an eclectic release in impressive fashion.

Man Power's Me Me Me welcomes another close friend back to the fold, with a stellar single from Bristol's Christophe, backed with remixes from Paranoid London's Johnny Aux and regular label contributor Frank Butters.

Me Me Me is having a fine run of form in recent months, with outstanding releases from the likes of Ian Blevins, Austin Ato, Shit Robot & Man Power himself. Press and radio support from the likes of Mixmag, XLR8R, Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, BBC Radio 1 and BBC6 Music has been accompanied with rapturous DJ support from Andrew Weatherall to Ben UFO, DJ Harvey to Elton John! This latest chapter see Bristolian Christophe step up to the plate, a producer probably best known for his superb releases on Futureboogie, but who has also featured on Me Me Me, both as a remixer and contributor to last year's charity compilation.

His first full release on the imprint kicks off with the acid-fuelled, electro workout that is 'Rok The Hall'. Hypnotic squelch and skittering mid-tempo rhythms provide the perfect basis for a sleazed out vocal that is guaranteed to set dancefloors alight. The original is accompanied by a remix from Paranoid London's Johnny Aux, a producer who has previously reworked the likes of Tiga vs Boysnoize, Shit Robot & The Martinez Brothers. Here he dials up the vintage pads and takes things in a deeper, mesmerizing house direction.

The second of the originals is 'Like That', an altogether more bumping affair with an 80s acid house energy derived from its driving analogue funk and judicious sample use. The remix on this comes from Cult of Glamour producer Frank Butters who steers things into Moroder-esque territory with arpegiated bass and syncopated keys. The digital package also features an instrumental version of 'Rok The Hall' for those who want things a little stripped back.

This latest release from Christophe and Me Me Me is a superb future-retro offering that is guaranteed to keep dancefloors warm in 2019.

Standards & Practices is proud to present the inaugural release on its new sister imprint, Double Standards, from NYC-based producer Jake Reif (Device Control). His third release working under this alias, Reif manages to amalgamate his dance music obsessions (EBM, bleep techno, Chicago house) in a totally unique way that feels fresh and idiosyncratic, avoiding simple genre exercises or nostalgia for the sake of it.

Lead track 'Spirit Module' is perhaps the finest summation of Reif's aesthetic yet: a mixture of bleepy, raw techno that, with its wild vocal samples and wide, 808-driven groove, comes across like a tougher, more modern take on the classic Sheffield/Richard H. Kirk/Robert Gordon sound. Label partner Ken Meier's first outing here as a remixer is a smashing success his version strips things down, keeping most elements of the original intact, but adds a driving, almost double-time metronomic machine rhythm that's aimed squarely at the dancefloor. On the flip, 'Tension' and 'Symmetry Obsession' row the boat further out, with their synapse-frying tones and jagged, randomized sequences reminiscent of Freddy Fresh at his best. All in all, a future classic destined to find favor with adventurous house and techno DJs alike.

Slovenian artist EB King provides GLYK with three magnificent jams. One shines like a juicy nightshade berry on a silver plate. The other is the soundtrack for moody werewolves on full moon and the last invites you to an afterhour on Steve Zissous submarine.

Under pseudonym "Jean Eon,' Johnny Quinn Alston is the artist behind the project _ - / _ EON, a performance endeavor born out of an intense personal and familial experience in 2011.

_ - / _ EON is a portrait of the various manifestations of energy throughout the wide span of time and space we inhabit, from human experience to multidimensional mystery, as well as a peek into the many emanations that eternal power can create.

Jean Eon is merely a human form attempting to channel what bits of existential mystery he can interpret into sensual experiential form. He aspires to be as comfortable as possible with existence as a flawed, but striving, human being, and is not to be confused with the immortal and cosmically balanced EON itself.

The music released under NEW YORK TRAX 08 results from physical expression as . _ - / _ . EON focuses on channeling physiognomy over dictation. The EP explores pre-existing textural combinations discovered and rescued from stone as opposed to built step by step.

The initial inspiration for this EP arose from driving past randomly unfolding rural scenes. A majority of . _ - / _ . EON's resulting work similarly gravitates towards a series of landscapes discovering each other rather than 'arrangements' played on repeat.

In the back of your head, you know those blinking aircraft warning lights on towers, but how mysterious and ominous they look before you discover what they really are On the surface, this project represents the sound of being struck by the sight of something for the first time, and the ominous, transfixing, thrill of not knowing what it is.

It's time for LET Recordings founder JP Enfant to make a mark on his own label again, and he does so across four fantastic tracks of absorbing and moving techno. As a resident at De School Amsterdam he is a pivotal part of the scene and this is his fourth EP on the label since its inception in 2015. His sound is rooted in techno but always comes detailed with elements of breakbeat, ambient, house and dub. This is another EP of innovative music for the body and mind in equal measure.

Lauren Flax is a Detroit native and long time Brooklyn resident who has been performing internationally for many years in a variety of projects and genres. She is
known as a versatile and unique artist, an in-demand DJ and a producer with an extensive discography of original tracks, collaborations and remixes, including work with a long list of world class talent such as Grammy nominated artist Sia, Little Boots and Tricky. She has toured worldwide as a member of the successful trip hop project CREEP and can currently be found giving life to hedonistic dance floors worldwide.

The past year has seen Flax busy in her home studio, refining her analog hardware live set and working on her solo productions. One Man's House is Another Woman's Techno on The Bunker New York is the fantastic result of this work. All three tracks on the record maintain Flax's presence and strong dance floor vibe. You may have heard bits of the record in some legendary DJ sets already or as a part of Flax's killer live set, which was first performed at The Bunker's 16 year anniversary party in January. 'I basically start with just the drum machine...create some patterns to get me started...change the patterns and manipulate the sounds real time so that there is a truly performative aspect captured.' Acidic with a serious vibe, Flax makes sure to let us know 'Everything for me has come full circle and I've definitely returned to my Detroit roots. Those roots run deep and so do my influences, but I also work very hard at maintaining and advancing my own sound. The full dose of "Mesh" shows two producers clearly at their most focused and precise. Like their best work to date, it will get fans' active imaginations churning - and leave them wondering what thiscollaboration has in store for the near future.

Roog Unit is the new production duo fusing together the talents of Luke Slater and Ø Phase a.k.a. Ashley Burchett, the music being the result of many months of discourse and growing connection. They have already joined forces in the recent past: Ø Phase contributed a striking remix of the Planetary Assault Systems classic "Dungeon" for the radical reassessment program "Planetary Funk: 22 Light Years," and the two shared DJ duties during last year's "22 Light Years" tour.

The apt title of the debut EP for Mote Evolver, "Mesh," suggests a locked grid or set of axes on top of which all sorts of creative possibilities can be sketched out, and it provides a perfect descriptive metaphor for the interaction between these two skillful heads: like carefully interwoven strands, neither half of the duo dominates the proceedings and each individual's contribution strengthens the effect of the other's.

The self-titled leadoff track on "Mesh" is a bracing bombardment of the senses, pulling out all the stops in order to get ever closer to a white-hot core of intensity. This journey to the heart of the sun moves along at a rapid pace, but also with a sense of patience, as new sound elements fade in slowly and surely. Chugging bass sequences, metallic flutters and sparkling high-register arpeggiation all make this into a piece of contained chaos that will engage veteran listeners and certainly teach novices a thing or two.

Before the listener has fully caught his or her breath, "Bugeye" follows suit and proves that the winning formula of the previous track is no one-off affair. A characteristically high-impact percussive track forms the base from which Burchett and Slater implement their plans for layering sonic architecture. Here their experience and determination truly differentiate them from the pack - where others might pile on sounds into an indistinct and fatiguing audio mush, this pair overlaps numerous different tone colors without causing any of them to lose their individual character.

The flipside, "The Chains," is a quintessential late night / early dawn number that leads listeners down subterranean corridors lined with beams of luminescent light and populated by smoke-shrouded men of mystery. On this cut, eerie shivering sonorities float in with all the classic drama of sustained Hammond organ chords; a bed of sound on top of which a cool vocal recitation encourages listeners that everything will be "all right" - although the tension between this laidback narration and the demanding straight-ahead trajectory of the music will allow listeners to make up their own minds on that score.

Dutch producer Tripeo returns to his self-titled imprint this March to release four ethereal cuts entitled 'We Have Power In Numbers'.

With a discography of over thirty releases across nearly two decades, Darko Esser aka Tripeo has truly established himself as a key figure within the techno world. His open-minded and forward-thinking approach to music allows his ideas to continually develop and transform, which reflects through his vast material on his Wolfskuil Records imprint. The label recently hosted an exciting new wave of techno artists such as Shlømo, Rumah, PTA (Ambivalent & Physical Therapy) and Cadans, who collaborated with Tripeo on a Rekids release at the end of 2018.

'We Have Power In Numbers' kicks off with sparkling, acid arpeggios, encapsulating pads and weaving modulations before 'Hoax' delivers shuffling percussion, shimmering synth lines and stabbing, bass grooves.

'Pandora's Box' follows on the flip with haunting oscillations, growling resonations and an off-beat 909 clap throwing you right in the groove until 'Pay It Forwards' finishes things off with electro-tinged flavours, tantalising pads and stirring melodies.

It starts off unassumingly, with a bright, airy beach boogie that's all gentle drums and trebly synth figurations, but it quickly turns its eye to the strobe-lit nightclub, first with 'Delusions of Grandeur,' an angular hypnosis of syncopated rhythms, then with 'Aerial,' a 130 BPM blitz with an epic build and an equally dramatic breakdown. Capping it off is '50 AM,' which, as the name indicates, is a woozy shuffle that'll help you land the plane nice and easy.

Sam C delivers an acid tribe A-side with a remarkable Phantom Force tune, acid jungle turning Tekno with a pumpin beat... The flip shared 1Nc1N who did a hardfloor acid progressive tune and Sparks and a peacefull pumpin midnight cruiser.

With a career spanning over 20 years worth of Djing, production and label work, Shlomi Aber has gradually cemented his position as one of the scene's cornerstones. His first outing for Figure sees the now Barcelona-based artist drawing on his many influences to deliver a tastefully rounded three- tracker. ‚Under two Worlds' grooves sublty aong a funky acid riff, while anthemic synths longilgy recall bygone moments of grandeur. This unique Aber-ability, creating a composition that is as elegantly understated as it is undoubtedly epic, also comes through on the record's B-side. Paced only at half-time and drenched in dubby reverb, the weighing beats of ‚Rumbles' engage with delicately shapedhead sounds for some seriously spaced-out head nods. ‚Matrix' is an tightly woven mesh of machinery insides, which Aber nevertheless manages to channel into a fairly straight- forward kinetic energy.

Parrish Smith makes his Dekmantel debut on the label's sister-techno imprint, UFO, with a blend of avant garde electronics and industrial.

With the 'Sex, Suicide & Speed Metal EP', Dutch producer Parrish Smith works outside of the realm of genres and tempos, creating his own unique template of saturated, electronic post-punk, having won accolades from the likes of Nina Kraviz, and Ron Morelli along the way. An analogue purist at heart, Parrish Smith has already amassed a cult following with regular appearances on Red Light Radio, in which the anarcho-experimentalist broadcasts sessions of heavy industrialism, breakbeats and body music.

Parrish Smith's music brings together classic analogue gear and a love for the fusion of aggressive industrial sounds. With title track 'Sex, Suicide & Speed Metal', Parrish Smith channels his inner Alan Vega, with some screaming guitars, and 65bpm machine-crunching body beats, lurching into a sultry space of slick wave music. 'Mute' jacks up the feeling of tempo, rife with energetic drum machines, pulsing synths and retro-fitted vocals, similar to the sound of something Daniel Miller might have released himself back in the early 80s. 'SKINS', delves further into the mechanical, with a grinding bass that bleeds through the track's entirety, while 'Fall into sin' sees him explore the world of deconstructed, gothic-pop yet further. Parrish Smith will be DJing, and performing live as Volition Immanent at this year's Dekmantel Festival, to fulfil the festival's charter of provocative, and intoxicating, energetic beat-filled music.

In time for the 20th anniversary of his label Hospital Productions, Dominick Fernow offers the first release of his Techno-focused moniker Vatican Shadow on Ostgut Ton, following up on his Berghain residency and joining Ostgut Booking in 2016 with his Vatican and Prurient projects.

The Cocteau Twins/This Mortal Coil-channelling, beatless widescreen opener 'They Deserve Death' and the two collateral club/dancefloor tracks 'Rubbish Of The Floodwaters' and 'Weapons Inspection' offset each other by reincarnating the tape manipulation that laid the foundation of Vatican's first
performances with analog hardware and minimalist midi-dissection. Produced in Los Angeles with Josh Eustis, Vatican Shadow's Rubbish Of The Floodwaters EP casts a full spectrum picture of where the project was born and where it headed.

Special focus was put on this EP's artwork, contributed by Berlin-based photographer Christian Vagt, taken from his Softex series. With Softex Vagt documents the military and police-run refugee camp located on the industrial diaspora near Thessaloniki. Vagt's photograph of Softex' concealing but sheer fence extends Vatican Shadow's recontextualisation of newspaper, military and religious quotes, cementing the sound storage medium of vinyl as a mixed media art object, colligating Vagt's motif from Softex with Vatican Shadow's 'media blackout/silence'.

While some of you might think of Planet Rhythm as one of those old labels from back in the day, it may not necessarily be the correct judgement. Not only is it a product of its past achievements, but it's also pushing things forward in the present time, with Woo York being one of a few new artists emerging from the imprint's recent catalogue. That said, 2014 starts with Ukrainian duo taking over Planet Rhythm headquarters as the label's proprietors and getting in charge of all of its future development.

First out of press is the duo's own EP highlighting their shift towards brand new, hardware-driven studio setup. From abstract TB-303-ish structures of Acid Rain, through the building peaks of Analogue Swamp, a perfect example of stripping functional techno, to Come Closer's uplifting trance-y melodies and the closing sequence of Strobe 1, this record is shaping up to be Woo York's strongest release to date.

Beatniks LDN’s first foray onto wax see’s minimal mainstay ADMNTi release a flavour filled EP with help from Niko Maxen and Casey Spillman. The A-side provides the bass driven original “Make It So”. With subtle elements dropping in and out, the lead track provides the vibe for Niko Maxen’s skippy remix following up with the perfect bounce. The B-side see’s “Riker” rear its head - a simple yet effective bassline with soothing pads is the ultimate bobbler. The second serving also see’s Casey Spillman enter the fray, his fast paced remix taking the synth elements to another level. All in all, half decent beats.

An expressive electronic album filled with sadness, yet one with the sort of positive, stirring resolve that leaves you feeling utterly comforted, Bjarki's new album 'Happy Earthday' is influenced by his home country Iceland as well as environmental issues. Having released bodies of work on Nina Kraviz's label and his own label bbbbbb, Bjarki views 'Happy Earthday' as his proper debut album; he feels it's a more coherent and conceptual body of work that finds him offering up music he never thought he would release. 'You can consider this album a window into my head and even my soul,' says Bjarki. 'For me it is a bit odd, sharing like this to the world. As a very private person I am not used to opening my door so completely. It's a little scary for me. 'What if ...' I wonder, expecting all kinds of everything.'
There are skeletal rhythms with sombre chords lingering in the air, downbeat drums with heavy moods, and moments of more uplifting optimism along the way. Throughout the album - made up of comparatively short tracks that help the whole thing move at an engaging pace - Bjarki always manages to make his machines sing with real resonance; they ooze genuine pain and a stunning sense of melancholy that is comforting even when the tempo is raised and drums come to the fore

After releasing HVL's Away From Everything We Know 12" back in 2015, Organic Analogue welcome the Georgian producer back to present his long-awaited debut album. As a resident of the much-vaunted club BASSIANI, HVL conceived Ostati as a document of the sound of Tbilisi - centred on warm, outboard house and techno but with a noticeably understated mood.
The club tracks take a pared down approach that favours space and meditation over bold brush strokes, but between the teeth-gnashing bite of "Askinkila" or the rough and ready acid workout "Continuum," the sound is gutsy and dripping with character. Ostati spells out a space where dim lights and mysterious corners provide a playground for wild ideas to dart around in the dark. The overall atmosphere may appear subdued, but it's merely a cover for the fiery spirit lurking underneath.

Ekman returns to Bedouin Records with Tangent, a 4 track episode of grungy club-shaking Electro experiments. Conjuring up images of run down 20XX cityscapes, gloomy and rained-in. Ekman is the lightning in the rain, bringing in kick drums like thunder amid brazen and dizzying metallic synth lines fused to confrontational lo-fi hi-hats. Recommended for the nighttime urban explorer.

Erol Alkan returns to Phantasy with 'Spectrum' and 'Silver Echoes', his first original solo material in five years; two pure dancefloor cuts which perfectly embody Alkan's charismatic, psychedelia tinged and singular approach to DJing and production.

'Spectrum' opens with shattering live drums in the spirit of his celebrated band production work and culture as founder and resident of seminal London club, Trash, before his equally striking synthesis rises into the mix, building towards a pulsing, blissful acid house reveal. Maintaining an irresistible rhythm, Alkan interweaves between tension and release, physical raw percussion and driving analogue modulation.

On 'Silver Echoes', Alkan bridges melancholia with the natural euphoria at the heart of some of his finest reworks and productions to stunning effect. Diving immediately into the heart of a powerful melody that gradually flourishes, the track unfolds waves of blissful electro, each revealing subtle details.

A perfect summation of both past and contemporary influences, as well as a lifelong open-minded stance, 'Spectrum' and 'Silver Echoes', each capture a side of Alkan's always-evolving energy and technique, mixing his studio prowess with a timeless instinct rooted within the communal potential of the dance floor.

Prolific Manchester producer, Jozef K's forthcoming release, Dawn Of A New Era, showcases Afro Acid's introspective side, with a series of post-apocalyptic, shimmering acid landscapes - which are sequenced, notably, as a complete work.

After a slew of signings to some of the biggest labels in house and techno we are proud to present this ethereal record from Jozef.

The EP begins with 'I Felt A Presence', a both heartfelt & dystopian 303 cut containing an atmospheric vocal that alternates between undefined parameters.

'Between Two Worlds', Jozef's acidic ode to Twin Peaks/David Lynch, portrays an intricate interplay between dark and light, (which is an underlying theme of the show for non-TP fans).

There are also further meanings Mr. K wanted the listener to discover for themselves, a very Lynchian concept indeed.

Track 3 is the dreamy and pensive 'Agkistrodon Contortix'. Another shimmering sci-fi 303 cut.

The EP's title track would seem to be the EP's euphoric peak. A continuation of the isolated, sci-fi-esque 303 based introspection here.

New York's P.Leone debuts on Rekids Special Projects with four vinyl-only techno cuts this February. Debuting on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records in 2016, P.Leone has since launched his own imprint entitled E-Missions alongside label partner Caiazzo. Moving to Berlin last year, the American producer has quickly earned himself a name within the German capital, making regular appearances at the likes of Tresor and ://about blank, and now joining respected Berlin-based label Rekids as part of their vinyl-only series. Metallic echoes, robust kicks and breakbeat percussion lay the foundation for 'Rose Petal Breaks', before 'Noon Service' demonstrates crystalline synths and futuristic effects. On the flip, thudding drums and energetic claps form 'Hold Me Down' until the ominous 'Sometimes I Feel Strong' concludes the package with rattling components and a cacophony of intricacies.

X/OZ is proud to announce our newest addition to the family: Waage. Waage exploded onto the scene in 2017 with his debut release W which was critically acclaimed and sat on top of the Juno techno charts for two months before selling out. The EP was also selected as one of Juno's techno releases of the year. Now he's back with W2, a continuation of the W series. A rhythmic, haunting, yet danceable piece and a worthy continuation to his celebrated debut.

One of Jensen Interceptor's strongest releases to date, and no wonder, it's on Craigie Knowes! Everything that Jensen's followers enjoy in terms of his electro master-class is included here, and much more too. On this record his gaze occassionally drifts from his hard-hitting electro sound to land on 4x4 beats and acid flavours, in true Craigie Knowes fashion.

Next up on Creme Organizaiton is Lake Haze. The Hague based Portuguese artist is a regular on this label having put out four EPs in the last two years. He's also linked with Unknown to the Unknown and Shall Not Fade so is an esteemed talent with a blistering sound that fuses futuristic techno and electro into storytelling dancefloor dynamite. Space Reservoirs kicks off this EP with slow but heavy drum work, acid twitches and spooky cosmic echoes. The Observer picks up the pace with quick and slick kicks from the streets of Detroit overlaid with ripping electro basslines and deep space atmospherics. Unexplored Oceanic Territory is expansive electro with busted drums and echoing pads that add real scale before more acid finishes things off with real rawness. Prototype is dark and heavy, with another searing baseline and crisp metallic hits, then Into The Unknown is a blissed out electro roller with dreamy pads and twinkling keys melting into the cosmos. It closes out another essential EP from this timeless producer.

Amandra + Ovend = Ovandra. The two French artists team up for an LP on their joint label Ahrpe. "Retrofuture" is out on March 15th.

Since the beginning of the label, the two minds behind Ahrpe Records knew they would work together at some point, but things often take time. Away from Ahrpe, Ovend's productions so far have found a home on Tale Of Us' label Afterlife, whilst Amandra has appeared on the likes of Semantica and Tikita. Now, following two weeks spent in Amandra's studio in Warsaw, the pair's styles merge seamlessly into a well-balanced, stirring sound that blurs the lines between techno and trance.

The opener "Dolphin" sets the tone. Amandra"s infinitely-evolving grooves roll with restrained percussion and subtle developments, Ovend's trancey synth lines snake in-and-out. The tracks that follow offer variations on a focused theme; there's acid murmurs and driving beats in the more introspective, voodoo techno cuts "Souvenir Souvenir" or "Wet Sahara", and dreamy melodies on the title track.

Without ever leaning too heavily on nostalgia, the record's bright harmonics evoke the euphoria of the European clubbing heyday. "Retrofuture" emits an energy that exceeds its measured tempo, a blend of modern and vintage ideas. "Golden Vanilla" provides an epic high towards the end, where a synth lead glows like a ray of light through the hazy atmosphere. A pair of breathtaking beatless pieces complete a coherent and fresh LP which looks to stand the test of time and offer DJs something different.
