Pertained in a period of strained self reflection, several field recordings have become the core upon which the album has been created. A persistant continuous movement throughout the elements of the tracks causes a certain constrasting tension and gradually transforms into lush cinematic textures.

An intricate and mesmerizing journey, full of rich and surprising details, resulting in a rather emotional expression of his constraint style and coherent distinct sound.

Man Power's Me Me Me label proudly presents a very special new compilation, 'We We We', which will see all profits donated to the vital Help Refugees charity. The release boasts 25 new and exclusive tracks from a wide range of artists both new and established including Pional, Juan Maclean, Shit Robot, Medlar, ASOK, Ian Blevins and more. As well as the full album, two limited, vinyl-only samplers will also be released, with each featuring one exclusive track that is not available anywhere digitally.

The recipient of the albums profits, Help Refugees, is the leading UK NGO in a new movement of humanitarian aid, helping to plug the gaps in services not provided to those displaced by war. The man behind the compilation's concept is Man Power aka Geoff Kirkwood, an established producer with credits for his off kilter mix of house, disco, ambient and techno on labels like John Talabot's Hivern Discs, ESP Institute and Jennifer Cardini's Correspondent.

Kirkwood says, 'I have wanted to do a compilation of this nature for a long time. I'm incredibly lucky, as well as eternally grateful, to know so many talented artists who were willing to donate wonderful music towards this important cause.' The gratitude clearly flows both ways with Help Refugees director Philli Boyle saying 'We are so grateful to Man Power and to all the incredible artists who have shown solidarity with displaced people across the world'.

The superb compilation kicks off in plaintive fashion with absorbing ambient tracks from Ian Blevins, Dharma and ASOK. Pale Blue's 'Eyes' then brings deep and persuasive drums into the picture with thoughtful, sombre synths lingering up top. There is a real beauty to much of the selection here, as demonstrated by more wistful chords on Forriner's lush deep house day dream 'Sunrise in Bensham', while jacking dance floor tackle comes from Pink Skull and Medlar's pumping 909 drums and the pixelated melodic delights of Christophe's rugged, Chicago-indebted jack track 'Winder'.

Man Power himself pops up with an epic nine minute opus that is broad, sweeping house music at its most dramatic and evocative, and Pional's 'Night Charmer' is a typically inventive cut with icy drones and dehumanised vocals. Big hitters like Shit Robot offer a heavy dose of dub house, while 'Quantume Reach' by Juan Maclean (feat Amy Douglas) is gorgeously off beat house with thoughtful chords and spine-tingling vocals with a poignant message.

This is a compilation jam-packed with a broad array of accomplished and standout sounds, and that it is all for charity only makes it an even more essential and welcome release.
The full album is released exclusively via Bandcamp on 4th May in exchange for a 'no minimum' donation to the charity, with the label asking to please give generously.

* Following on from last year's debut release on Cold Recordings, Cocktail Party Effect makes a welcome return to the imprint with 4 new genre-melting rhythmical workouts, charged and ready for the dancefloor.

* 'Lemons', the eponymous EP title track, kicks things off, opening with dubbed-out chords and a fidgety, rattling percussive loop which eventually disappears into the background as the breakdown primes itself for the drop. Suddenly, in comes a hyperactive rhythmical workout, rolling at 128bpm but turbo charged with double time percussive flicks. Soon the dub elements return to fill out the sonic, keeping the pace lively and engaging. Quality, effective dancefloor music.

* Following straight on is 'Bangers' which almost sounds like an imagined collaboration between JA rhythms stars of the moment, Equiknoxx and Walton or Batu. Squelchy drums and a t'umping bassline roll things out in fine style.

* Flip the plate then for 'Quite' which brings things back into slightly more familiar territories, utilising a swooping bassline as pitched, deranged vocal stabs swirl about and tight drum programming keeps the pace moving. Last up is 'Flat Football' which returns to a similar form as the title track, 'Lemons'. Manic drum programming is used to create the impression of being in fast forward without moving the tempo over 130bpm! Not for the faint hearted.

THE ARTIST

CrossNineTroll is a talented Hungarian DJ/producer duo. They formed back in 2011. The two friends are well known artists of the Hungarian electronic dance music scene since the mid of 90's. Their sound is influenced mostly by house and techno, with a modicum of the oldschool sound. Both together and separately have played in most of the local and lot of international clubs and festivals. Their most successful track so far is called Wanna Say' released on BUTCH's label BOUQ. The track was prominent on the label and had lately become the labels 3rd bestseller track of 2013. LOCO DICE played this track for over 12 months. Furthermore, it was played and charted by the likes of DUBFIRE, REBOOT, STEVE LAWLER, etc.. Strong releases followed on VIVa MUSiC Limited, PLANT74, Hi!Fly RECORDS and many others. The CrossNineTroll guys are constantly working hard on new productions in their studio and promising a lot of surprises in the upcoming years. Let's keep our fingers crossed, as they have the talent and deserve it!

Mysterious newcomer Banke delivers a profound debut for TOKEN81. The Totem EP's tempered sophistication and clear sense of purpose belies Banke's neophyte status, establishing him instead in the ranks of Token's most experienced artists in terms of skill and ingenuity.Simenon's tense introduction is met with understated, yet unmistakable fragments of Detroit in the form of a hypnotic, high-end glissando, rolling drum work and built-up tasteful stabs. Cheerlead's delicate trill is mimicked and answered in a hypnotic call-and-response over a carefully measured low-end.Totem, the title track, has a traditionalist opening that's purposeful and composed, with Banke patiently building tension through his crafty and artful arrangement. An oddball breakdown of mind-bending synth work places the record firmly in the avant-garde, while its detailed percussion retains dancefloor functionality. Len Faki initiates a new series on Figure. A hybrid of picture disc and classic vinyl, 65.5 looks to the future of the label in a bold statement both musically and aesthetically. Already well known for his precise works, and with a wealth of Remix credits under his name, DJs have come to know exactly what they can expect from a Len Faki production - pure quality and dedication to his art! With other key Figure artists expected to contribute to the concept too, we re excited to offer up this beautifully crafted series of collectors items. The classic rattling techno stabs of Basic Pain Procedure are reworked into a storming deep quest for the floor - one for the heads, the original was produced by a certain and much heralded UK duo in their early years of operations Len Faki takes the haunting, bare bones of the original and modifies it gracefully, resulting in this high-end reprise. Emerging from the hazy echoes of a late 90s rave in the UK, by way of Chicago, the classic synth line could be the epitome of a genre that seems to live on timelessly without borders or the need for hype - Dub Techno Spirit 2015!

This recording is the dark side of Bill Laswell at the peak of his art in 1995. He goes into a black trance. The piece is not from a collaboration, it was designed alone, in his studio in Brooklyn. Bass Terror Tetragrammaton is also to be linked to an alchemical process. Nocturnal Crawl is a totally hypnotic piece, the first that Nik Bullen designed outside of Napalm Death and Scorn. The two pieces answer each other strangely, like two sides of the same hidden anxiety.

The concept of this series was the confrontation of electric guitars as the tutelary instrument, but here and this time only, it came out of bassists confronting each other.

Following up our previous Daniel Sanchez release, we are more than proud to have for this one the Impropmtu Remixes EP edition which includes 4 fantastic remixes by Nima Gorji, Martinez, Doubtingthomas and Faster. The first track is Nima's remix from Pearled Into Droplets in which he created an exceptional base with a prominent tech rhythm, in which we can perceive a few percussion layers that work amazingly with the original synths. Those synths create an incredible atmosphere as they softly evolve in a slow progression during the track, creating tension and release, exactly when is needed. The whole minimalistic approach brings a more than suitable vibe that is driven by a rock solid bass line too. The second remix is from Martinez, who also worked over Pearled, but he went through a more experimental and deeper road with an exquisite re-interpretation, in which the articulations created between the several percussive sounds are beautifully placed in such way that, alongside the synth pad in the backend, creates a superb hypnotic vibe and groove. The third remix is from Daniel's track Yi and was charge of Doubtingthomas, who flawlessly captured the primal essence of the original track with a superb twist in the rhythmic side, in which he created an amazing blend between of minimal house and deep, that easily immerses the listener into a powerful trip. This remix also presents several melodic elements working together with the original track sounds, like the strings during the break and synth pads, which adds a beautiful musical and organic feeling to the remix. The last and not least of the remixes is also from Yi, but in charge of the talented producer Faster, who also took as working base the ambiences and textures from the original track to create a subtle and beautiful minimalistic vibe alongside the percussive elements. The most distinctive sound of his remix is the electric synth riff, which adds soft craziness, and lays the ground perfectly for the hypnotic percussions to take place later on the track, which also finishes the remix's groove exquisitely.

It's been 10 years since Efdemin's debut mix-cd "Carry On, Pretend We're Not In The Room" and its single "America". Back in 2008 it ended up on the first place in the Groove chart, but for some reason we never had it remixed. With Efdemin's second mix-cd and the accompanying "Move Your Head" EP now scheduled for mid April, we'd like to announce this 'Minimal Detroit' mix from Terrence Dixon to close things off in style. On the flipside there's a DJ Koze edit of Efdemin's "Acid Bells" classic that was too good not to share.

Since making their debut on the imprint in 2013 with 'Blue Aconite', the Italian duo Hiver has since released two more EPs on Curle; 'Same Mistake Twice' in 2015 and 'Soundescence' last year. Since the release of the latter mentioned EP, Hiver have been busy behind the booth, performing in the UK, China, Germany, Holland and, of course, in Italy, where they still hold a residency at DUDE Club. Kicking off the EP is 'Elipse', a stunning four-minute track that nods to avant-garde artists such as Wolfgang Voigt's GAS alias or Brian Eno, as the pair gradually weaves several layers of shining, atmospheric tones before slowly fading into the background. Title-named track 'Air Castles' follows, with the tight selection of drums combined with the ebb and flow of soaring synths creating a melodic style of techno that has become synonymous with their name. Next is 'Aleutine', a song that similarly blends Hiver's characteristically ethereal, hazy synths alongside more vibrant analogue bleeps to great effect. These delicate synths are later given the chance to gleam as the track comes to a close.Closing this excellent four-track EP is deep-groover 'Leisure', seeing Hiver up the tempo through their clever use of percussive elements, sharp synths and headstrong drums.

Induction's Remix EP can be considered as a true Ravage family affair. The EP starts and ends with takes on Theological Explanation; Tadeo delivers an hypnotic version with a lot of drive, and - it may sound counterintuitive - Zadig dives into the deep as well, with an outstanding, euphoric and ethereal mix. Both tracks turn out to be quite true-to-self reworks of the offbeat original. On A2, Birth of Frequency altered the ambient intro Epitrachelion into a soft, melodic, functional electro track that oozes refinement and a bit nostalgic comfort.

The B-side starts with As Patria's signature sound, giving a new interpretation to a previously unreleased production called Oxygen Swamp. Melancholic hisses, softly rattling hats and light synth-work all contribute to the overall feeling of their remix. The same goes for Samuli Kemppi, who took on Back in my Amnesia, giving it the ghetto-house-treatment, indulged with rave influences.

Justin K Broadrick puts his club foot forward for Downwards on four trampling techno bombs gathered under the Exit Stance EP. With no prizes for guessing what the title is about, the Godflesh/Jesu/Final bloke further girds us against broken Britain's grim future following his Suicide Estate 2LP for Hospital Productions.
This is some of Broadrick's most direct, primitive, and ruggedly impactful gear, forged in the belly of the black country with charred traces of late '90s Brummie techno edged by sparingly used daubs of patented, pollutant synths and plasmic dubbing.
A-side; he offloads the rollicking hydraulics of Exit Stance, a rallying charge of tribal bass drums and cranky percussion from the Female/Regis skool, whilst the droning, beat-less squabble of Motivated By Jealousy takes an acute measure of blighty's radgy pulse.
B-side; his Bullied By Love comes off as a grimacing answer to Ancient Methods' industrial steppers, then Caveman goes on like a chips 'n curry sauce-fed analog to Muslimgauze-via-Vatican Shadow vibes.Aye, we're all fucked. But at least we can dance about it with JK Flesh..

Amsterdam's LET Recordings is back for a sixth release, titled 'Communication', this time by Jon Hester. Hester hails from Chicago and Minneapolis, and is now based in Berlin. EPs on Dystopian and Rekids SPX have established him with a loopy and hypnotic techno sound that fits perfectly with LET.

As Tresque the delicate minimalism he's known for takes shape within driving grooves. Velvet Records proudly presents « V003 », a four-tracks long overview and celebration of the contemporary electronic music scene. Together, the artists featured on the French label's first compilation present an audacious look at the depth and span of the scene while also moving the form forward into bold new shapes.

Touching on expansive Deep Techno and Minimal House, this compilation is made up off exclusively produced and previously unreleased music from Ekomine, Yaroslav Lenzyak, Leopol and Damien K. Sahri, capturing the essence of the current chapter of these genres, hinting at the shape of those to come.

French producer Ekomine is the first to hit the road with « Ramble », a solid sweet-sour blend of atmospheric sounds leading the listener to find himself gently trapped into an unpredictable deep-space diving journey. This is where Ukrainian artist Yaroslav Lenzyak and acolyte Rata come in with « Cellar Door ». No constellations here, but the substantive claustrophobic tale of a spectral entity slowly catching your doppelgänger in the twilight hours. An angel flies and we're suddenly entering the sensitive world of « Joy Misery » from Parisian early analog machines enthusiast Leopol, who invites wandering souls to a dance-oriented and delicate voodoo ritual before passing the torch to Berlin-based producer Damien K. Sahri's « Travel Marvel » which confers the record a multi-ethnic dimension, kindly whiplashing bodies with a mixture of unavoidable pulsations.

A driven individual in his passion for experimental music, with roots in Frankfurt(DE), that matchless sound and impeccable techniques as a producer are serving as an example for precise and inspirational music. One of those artists that disconnect from the real world escaping into a new world while the creative flow takes over, outgrowing himself at full speed with releases on labels like Sakadat, Mood24, Capodopere, Ensis Black, Inwave to name a few. Putting his DNA into Decent, Alan exceeds continuous experimentation charged with sensibility and passion for his work, letting all the melodies and kick join together to make us dance and travel through sounds with all its power, resulting this exquisite happy end to this 12 inch release mastered by Maurice Giovannini.
To top it of in our artistic approach, we bring you this unique 100% romanian cover, "Necromæns" painted with acrylics on canvas by talented Anita Frâncu. Many untold stories lay hidden under the strokes of the young painter, besides the aphotic site of this artwork that matches perfectly the overall design concept of Mihai Dafinoiu - responsible for the image of Tupiar Records & Tupiar Limited Record Labels.

Public Release adds another entry to its 2018 chapter with a four-track EP that engineers the intersection of gentle warm-up house of the Balearic genus and frosty chill-out. The 12-inch is the latest from Dylan Khotin-Foote, who goes by the mononym Khotin, a producer and DJ firmly planted at the epicenter of Vancouver's lively, colorful dance music scene.

The record begins with 'Aloe Drink,' a tune, which, like the beverage it's named after, is both specifically familiar and vaguely mysterious; it begets questions of origin despite its appearance of recognizability. Built around an acoustic, earthy drum pattern, it kicks off feeling fast-paced, propulsive, but this proves illusory when aqueous pads push into the frame and lend the piece a calm stillness.

Force of Nature (DJ Kent and KZA), making a rare appearance as remixers, preserves the original's intent and architecture while managing to find a way to subtly lift it in energy and register; extra drums and an augmenting synth lick ease it into a territory of dance floor functionality. A version as rousing and bumpin' as it is intimate and tender.

On the other side is 'Friend' and 'Strange Plant,' a harmonious pair that reflects the A-side's vibe as it refracts it into a spectrum of new hues and spaces. 'Friend' is a kaleidoscopic trip through time-warping trance, and 'Strange Plant' a sharper, punchier song that takes keyed-up rave chords and gives them some heart, some soul, by removing all the artificial drama they're normally consumed by.
A cleverly crafted and sincere, sweet record that telegraphs a wink of irony as it carries you through a vortex of technicolor fractals and flickering embers.

Lowfish is back! The electro veteran, who's been programming 808s since the early '90s, returns to Suction Records, the label he co-founded and debuted on in 1997, for his first release since 2011. This is suction046 - the 'Hypersensitivity' EP. It's been a while, but as the sprinkling of Lowfish compilation appearances - on labels like Analogical Force and Fundamental Records - over the intervening years have shown, Lowfish isn't interested in radical changes; it's all about quality and consistency. Flawlessly produced 808 drums, meticulously processed for maximum slam, combine with Lowfish's trademark synthesizer melodies and heavily-manipulated dialogue samples... best heard on standout cuts 'Apr294ms' - a melodic techno/electro dancefloor killer - and 'Favourable Reports' - a slice of 808 synthpop with melodic nods to vintage OMD and Gary Numan.

New record label born in Barcelona mainly dedicated to electro, presents its first release, Dark Ambition by Vema Diodes. Útil records has been created with the aim of continuing our purpose to spread the electro in its different forms, premise of the label team for more than 15 years in which its members have joined different musical projects and have participated in the line-up of innumerable national and international clubs. In our debut album, Vema invites us to take a walk for its impeccable sound, low basses, fat kick drums, sharp snares, all with a very careful production. A quality release in all the things around its development.

Vema is a talented artist dedicated entirely to the music and other disciplines such as graffiti. Since he was a kid he has part of many musical projects of hip hop, electro, drum and bass and techno. His music is perfectly consolidated having received the support of artists from the electro scene from different parts of the planet, especially from Miami where his sound has been very well received since the DJs and producers of that city were aware of their work.

Heady, astute, deep techno and ambient from Blue Veil, a new musical project from Danny Clancy. Blue Veil's debut EP reveals gorgeously textured techno on tracks like 'wherethetimegoes' and 'Citizen Score', as well as crafting some tender ambient passages on cuts like 'Night Czar' and 'A Kind Of Adventure'.
The EP will be released on Dichotomy Records, a new imprint, dedicated to refined electronic music. The label's ambition is to allow artists to explore dichotomies through their work, as they span sonic landscapes from pure ambient to techno, and other abstract dance sounds in-between. There will be a strong attention to the visual presentation of the label, with all artwork and photography also created by label boss Danny Clancy.
With the next release lined up from Ahu, and more to follow from there, the agenda for Dichotomy Records looks hugely promising indeed.

Fashion design is a creative task involving the shaping, bending, and breaking of codes- archetypes, memes, and references from the past are re-mapped into something novel. Techno production has a similar relationship to it's past, present, and future, as one mines the genre's legacy in order to navigate new territory. Creative polymath Virgil Abloh is most widely known for his fashion work, but it's no surprise his track "ORVNGE" with Boys Noize is a powerfully executed exercise in the shared practice of finding the memetic, fractal base that forms the skeleton for a myriad of patterns that inevitably follow.

This is coding at it's best- when something simple set in motion gives rise to unexpectedly beautiful complexity. Virgil Abloh and Boys Noize certainly are masters of their respective codes, and "ORVNGE" is a club weapon serving as a robust beginning for the further possibilities of their collaboration yet to unfold.

We first met Cabasa at the Worldwide Internet Memes Meeting in Daussoulx (BE) back in December 2014. He did some un-understandable jokes about music, it was boring. But he was kinda funny and we had a lot of money to spend on stupid stuff. So, we thought it could be interesting to press a record based on his boring jokes. We still don't really understand our own decision, but here's the outcome of 3 years of hard labour. »

The new release features 6 tracks and follows Julien's critically acclaimed debut album, Fallen. Released in 2016, the autobiographical LP was a bold new direction for Julien, and the first release under his birth name. Over the years, the Apron Records boss' bold, experimental electronics, jagged club cuts and outside-the-box collaborations have seen him carve out a lane all of his own making. His debut LP was divided into two musically contrasting sides, and told the tale of a fallen angel though jazz-fusion, chiming soundscapes and dark acid-tinged techno.

Since his album release, Julien has continued his creative streak by playing across the globe, from Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai to Montreal and Melbourne, and further developing his label, which released a string of underground 12's in 2017 from the likes of Max Graef, Hanna, Molinaro and more.

On 'Bloodline', Steven continues the soundtrack style mood of 'Fallen' - channeling ominous analog techno, drifting synth-house masterpieces, warm soul and hints of new age. Both the title and artwork is a nod to the influence of Julien's family on his rich musical world and distinct nonconformist style, explaining how: 'the influence my family has given me growing up and my ancestors from Africa to native Indians from the Caribbean, has all played a big part in the music I create.'

Recorded in Apron Studios based in East London, each track on 'Bloodline' also features a tr808 or a piece of a 808, as a dedication to the iconic Japanese engineer Ikutaro Kakehashi, who passed away April 2017. The much-loved Roland founder and TR-808 creator revolutionised electronic music in the 1980s and 90s.

The Lionoil pride reascends with a four-tracker from Edinburgh's Telfort. His first EP for Lionoil arrives on the back of a triptych of sold out self-releases, which gained adulation and support across the globe from folks like Move D, Axel Boman, Smallpeople, Moxie, Tim Sweeney, Jane Fitz, Jacques Renault and many more. With Telfort's 'Rooms For Speculation', he delivers four versatile deep house cuts on a label he is no stranger to. Having appeared on the very first Lionoil 12' he regularly features on their line-ups and forms an integral part of the family's party force in Edinburgh and further afield.
The title track opens with rapturous piano chords and stirring sample-work, before deploying burly bass stabs under wholesome rhodes deepness. 'Some Other Time' accelerates on, sweeping through layers like a dreamy dystopian car chase. On the flip, 'Barberweed' turns the temperature up to 'peak summer scorcher' as dulcet samples float above another of Telfort's boundless basslines tempered with those spiky 909s. Lastly, 'Exploding Car' mellows off the EP, despatching a warming orchestra of dusty strings, a driving weapon for the warmup.
This essential summer record is undoubtedly Telfort's most accomplished to date, cementing his deep idiosyncratic style.

Molten Moods releases another finely curated various artists record with tracks by Skee Mask, Kessel Vale, Jonas Yamer and Konrad Wehrmeister. Kessel Vales opening track Voguing Geisha' is an unconventional breakbeat masterpiece following his sense of harmony and rhythm already shown through previous releases on Tanstaafl Records and Rhythm Nation. As the track unfolds it reveals musical storytelling by integrating a technoid polyrhythmic loop structure into melodic synth figures, slowly deconstructing in the end. Skee Mask collaborated with Molten Moods labelhead and Carl Gari member Jonas Yamer on Fanta Ocean', it being the first release ever outside of his Ilian Tape homebase. The outcome is a moody IDM piece with cinematic qualities, complex but soothing. The B-Side begins with Xenomorph' by Konrad Wehrmeister, who is known by his releases on Public Possession and SVS Records. This trancy yet distorted and detailed electro banger surely takes on the role of the records dancefloor highlight. The closing track Insgeheim' is delivered by Molten Moods head honcho Jonas Yamer. Here groovy kicks, distorted chords and a psychedelic pad are woven into one compelling 10 am techno track. The common thread of Molten Moods 4 is four young Munich artists going on a joint trip into idiosyncratic electronic music. The resulting tracks intertwine as one modern and diverse techno record. Out on 12 vinyl and wav by the end of March 2018. In the tradition of Molten Moods' cost-conscious design strategies by Paul Bernhard, the record comes with a xeroxed low budget sticker set.

Through his labels Hardmoon and Wilson Records, he has brought some of the freshest jams to our ears in quite some time.For his first outing on DABJ, shit gets real. Masterfully crafted mechanized, rough, tough techno belters in that inimitable Hissmanstyle... don't sleep on this.

German producer Philipp Priebe is set to release his latest work, Our Sins, on Beirut based label Fantôme de Nuit.


Philipp Priebe is a romantic and this rare attribute, at least in the world of electronic music, lies at the center of the music that he creates. The German producer combines warm, melancholic sounds with pushing elements to create a whimsical blend of organic and mechanic attributes. His first release on Fantôme de Nuit is a testament to his ability to create.


Preibe opens his latest release with 'Above You', and the leading track is an excellent representation of the German House sound. Beginning with some almost jacking drum programing, a fat bass line quickly joins the arrangement. The track continues to build over the next minute and then, like a breath of fresh air, melodic pads provide a whimsical like quality. Preibe spends the remainder of the track building and breaking it down, each time adding a bit of life to the brooding opener.


'Kyoto' is a spaced out slow burner that packs some serious punch. Lead by acid dipped keys, the track features a barrage of ambient blips that create an atmosphere deserving of only the best systems. 'Nara' veers away from its two predecessors and ventures into more techy territory. Layered with blips and
complex drum programming, 'Nara' takes the listener to another dimension before bringing them back down again.


Priebe saves the title track for last, but it's well worth the wait. Built around a single kick and a wealth of delay, 'Our Sins' slowly builds up around itself. By the time the vocal sample comes in it's too late, the listener is completely enveloped. The dubby bassline pushes the track forward and some clever chords keep it tight. And just when it should drop, Phiebe breaks it apart. Dropping the tempo, Phiebe slows the journey to a standstill for just long enough before the kick returns to keep the party going.

Greenvision is the collaborative brainchild of two ESP Institute artists, Juan Ramos and Luca Trentini AKA Trent, both longtime fixtures of Berlin's infamous playground known as Cocktail d'Amore. Separately, these two explore their own very personal avenues of expression, putting their time in the trenches and endlessly polishing their works (this makes Juan's third release with the label), but when their efforts overlap we're gifted a view into their uncanny synergy. Juan and Trent channel an exorbitant amount of smoke-fueled creativity, building layers upon layers into music so dense that the bulk of their studio time might then be spent navigating and formalizing their output into tangible tracks. After a sold out first release, Patrick Gil is back with Pressed Friends 02. 'Punctual' is a stripped back, bleepy warehouse machine that hits hard but is versatile and funky. Remix duties are taken care of by Alex Under from Spain. After Patrick's 12' on Alex's CMYK Musik it was time to invite Alex into his community and Alex delivered big time. Alex refines the main ideas in the track, boiling it down to a solid groove and adding a killer bass riff that sounds like it was meant to be there all along.

Pressed Friends is about friendship, community and good music on wax.

Redshape stars in another deep tripping, sci-fi odyssey on his imprint for present 16. Opening The Gate reveals a slow but surely building burner that is classic Redshape, ripping the space-time continuum fabric apart at it's spoken word climax narrating of solar winds, cosmic ray particles and the speed of light. Heed the track's unmistakable call and take flight on an interplanetary elevator with parched, bone-dry percussion, twisting lines with propulsive bass and growls that rumble underneath, enveloping you in an air cabin of Jedi-level sound design prowess. The ride truly begins next with Voyager. It's all aboard a throbbing deep low end countered by floating, melancholic sustained chords with twinkling bleeps and fading bloops that light up like the star-studded Milky Way. Frantic hi hats and modulated percussion work keep riders on the edge of their seat through this fantasy space-age joyride at warp speed.

After the success of the 'Abused V.a.' that dropped last winter, Samani return with their second vinyl release. In the last few years the label - founded by F.eht - has grown in leaps and bounds, with many digital releases climbing charts and bringing new artists to light.A:The opening track titled 'Conduccion' is a production from Slovenian based artist, and Innocent Music label-head Aney. F. One for the dance floor, this track is full of energy and builds and evolves perfectly. Aney's sound has spread across the world in the last few years and this record is a perfect example of why his music has become so popular in the scene.The second track on Side A is one that takes us darker and deeper. Cicuendez has set a heavy vibe for his track '5 Years'. The elements that make up this track come together perfectly and form a well rounded thumping production. Not only are we happy to hear this production on Samani, but we also look forward to hearing more from this talented producer in the future.B:F.eht has stepped forward to open up the flip side with a remix of Aney's track on Side A, this time offering a slightly different vibe whilst keeping the energy on offer tom the original. This is another one fit for the club, and one that show's how far the head of Samani has come in the last few years.Finally, 'Jessabelle'. This production by Battric & MIVU is a real roller, you only have to listen to the choppy bassline to realise that. The breakdown half way through the track uses some really crisp synths to lighten the mood, before breaking back in to a slightly evolved version of the main body of the track. This duo are definitely a pair to look out for this year. SMNI002 is 100% one for the record bag, and will be one heard across the world in future months.

Yagya's Rigning album from 2009 is the Icelandic producer's most acclaimed dub, techno and minimal masterpiece. Due to popular demand, Delsin are now re-issuing it across three slabs of vinyl. Previously only available as a double pack with eight tracks, the new re-mastered version features all 10 of the tracks from the original CD. Gumundsson has been making music for years both solo and as part of the Thule Musik collective. He is an album specialist who has worked as Yagya since 2002 and has put out six albums since then. They come on labels like Force Inc and Sending Orbs - where Rigning was first released - and manage to be both absorbing and detailed yet suitable for relaxing background listening. His last two albums, Sleepygirls (2014) and Stars & Dust (2016) appeared on Delsin Records. Rigning is essentially one long track split into movements. It depicts a city sleeping as gentle rain falls and dubbed out grooves zone you out. Yagya's style is always patient and slow burning, his grooves are long and drawn out and his pads reach up into the heavens. This whole album in coated in a warm fuzz and is a real comfort on dark, long, cold nights. As insular and melancholic as it is, there is also plenty of beauty in the melodies and delicate keys. From dark and gloomy to more optimistic and meditative, there is a sophistication throughout this always cinematic album that continues to make it stand out nearly a decade after it was first released.

Suns out, guns out: Darkroom Dubs ease into 2018 slowly with a new addition to their limited vinyl series courtesy of Madrid analogue scientist Eduardo De La Calle.

Last spotted on Planet E and boasting a 15 year back-cat on the likes of Cadenza, Biologic, Just This, Hivern Discs and Mule Muziq, Eduardo is a man you're already well acquainted with. And you're going to want to get even closer once you've digested these four straight-to-business stripped-back traxx. Each cut designed for deep mix tailoring that you can really bend minds with.

'It's Me... The Apple Knocker' ignites the fire with a flash as we're hurled into a hypnotic frenzy from the first loop. A whirlwind comprised of so few parts yet causing a riot in your senses, this stutters and slurs with a precision sense of unease. The troubled ebb and flow of 'Opsimath' follow suit with a twinkling feeling of unknown. An extensive groove weighing in at nearly nine minutes, its unhurried nature alludes to its title; the longer you leave it sizzle, the more enriching it gets.

Flip for 'Breatharian'. The deepest, most disarming cut of the collection laced with yearning strings and poignant chords, it's a solar-inspired sunset piece that gradually morphs into something much darker and serious as the track progresses. Finally we conclude with 'Cybersquatting', a timeless mildly dubbed-out darkroom groove that flows with liquid insistency. Subtly mutating and rotating, forever pumping, it's a true calm before the storm piece, tailored for those moments when you need a little suspense and space in your set.

German producer Markus Suckut returns with a mesmerising techno release entitled 'New Life EP', a precursor to his forthcoming album on Rekids. First appearing on Rekids in 2015, Markus Suckut has since become a vital member of the Rekids family when not running his own labels SCKT and Pattern Research. Pounding drums and atmospheric effects initiate 'New Life' before a groove laden bassline and scintillating synths ebbs into the mix. 'Mistakes Are For Everyone' then generates an oscillating aesthetic whilst syncopated kicks join echoing nuances, leading into the rattling sounds of 'Shimmer' with its ghostly chords and tantalising melodies.
With Suckut having released two albums already the Du¨sseldorf artist is no stranger to the long player format making his forthcoming album on Rekids all the more exciting.

Viers clocks back in on Figure duty, showing up with up for another strong statement of his unmistakenly singular style. Here he is working it from all angles: Straight up and searingly stoic techno opener Let My Mind Breath is grinding away grittily, while things turn surprisingly bouncy, as Genesis dishes out electrifying boom-bap-breakbeats, transporting imagery of neo-futuristic Tokyo streets. As night sets in, so does the kinetic groove of Oyasumi, which twirls layers of energetic movement into a thick current, zooming through the city's deep gorges of concrete and fiber glass. Closing track Data Entry 4590 finally provides some soothing ambient tones of melancholic longing, inviting to slowly drift away into white-washed nothingness and process the bright color storm that Viers lets unfold on this intense record.

From his Saint Denis apartment, and with the help of his machines, Labelle has laid the foundations of an electronic maloya, modern and deeply rooted in its home territory: La Réunion. On 'univers-île' his latest album released in September 2017, the sound of the Creole Reunionese language played a key role. On 'Post-Maloya", Labelle release a fascinating EP of introspective trance music. Post-Maloya EP is characterized by vivid dream-like journey through which traces a path of exploration. Here you will find the maloya stamp, which is Reunionese traditional music, both in the rhythms and the instruments used, like the valiha. This traditional tubular harp from Madagascar is played by Vola on the track 'Jaojoby'. Vola was taught by Rajery himself, who is widely considered as master of this instrument. This track is an homage to Jaojoby, king of Salegy, a popular musician in Madagascar. The hypnotic sounds evoke distant dimensions and resonate like shamanic incantations whose aim is to gently lead us towards the trance. As the title suggests - 'Post-maloya' is the exploration of new musical processes mixed with the use of traditional maloya instrumentation. This is an appropriate name for this new opus, which is more electronic and percussive; carving an experimental path between electronic and traditional music. In parallel with the creation this EP, the Regional Conservatory of Réunion Island has given free reign to Labelle to create a series of live performances which he played all around the island last month, including an original creation linked to his expression of 'Post-maloya' supported by an ensemble of eleven musicians from Réunion Island's regional orchestra.

Returning to Leyla after inaugurating the label in summer 2015, Manni Dee presents Counterculture. A brutal yet evocative four track EP that conveys emotive states through noise, rhythm, texture and repetition.

The opener 'Cameron On A Guillotine' pulls no punches as imagined from the track title. Determined propulsion at 140BPM acts as a stalwart base for sharp metallic stabs to glide over, along with dense atmospheres and percussive detail. Reminiscent of the early days of Birmingham Techno, Manni Dee taps in to his Midlands roots for an unapologetic and overt critique of the current state of affairs.

Track two is a more introverted affair, with beds of white noise and atmospheric textures carrying 'Occupational Burnout' to places that both sedate and stimulate, accompanied by intricate and grinding rhythmic repetition. An apt fitting given the track title.

Themes of rhythmic brutality return on track three this time in a more spacious form, throughout the astutely titled 'Abundant Fuckry'. Half and double time thrusting layers marry to give birth to a hypnotic bed that continues to expand as the track develops. A playful yet earnest track that displays Dee's skill and proficiency in building original and driving techno.

The perfect balance between light and dark, a testament to the concept of Leyla Records, is beautifully presented in the final track. 'We Live In Hope' injects a cinematic sense of optimism through struggle, reminiscent of Dee's work under his Nuances alias.

Second release from the hybrid label comes from the hands of Pohl. Talented and experienced producer from Spain. Limited edition of this outstanding 4 tracks record in Melcure.

Canadian techno expert Ryan James Ford appeared seemingly out of nowhere with a debut release on powerhouse MDR back in 2015. Since then, the Berlin based artist has released a genre defying album for Answer Code Request ,as well as launching his Shut imprint: devoted entirely to his own productions. Like its title may suggest: Discipline 78-96 could well refer to his musical education back in his old hometown of Calgary, and these retro leaning techno cuts definitely allude to it too. A side cut "Deer Run" is a functional big room techno cut that wouldn't have sounded out of place on F Comms back in the day, while the epic pitched-down rave monster "Beltine" or modern junglist reinterpretation "Ken's Defekt" would make even Shed and Special Request stand up and notice.

We've been closely watching the rise of A Sagittariun ever since he first popped up with his consistently excellent Elastic Dreams label back in 2011. What started out as an anonymous project has since been revealed as the handiwork of Nick Harris, a long time champion of the Bristol house and techno scene since before most of us were even hitting the dance. His music has been flying out with a no nonsense approach - self-released, minimal promo, just cracking club-ready 12"s that tap into the fierce-but-fun spirit of Detroit techno and albums loaded with smokers delights to appease his West Country roots.

"Pseudo Science" wastes no time in imparting a message of bristling kinetic energy for peak time situations. This is maximal techno of the highest order, firing off a body-popping beat, a dazzlingly bright set of chords and a delirious lead that cuts through like the house lights being thrown on in a darkened basement four hours before closing time. There's a confidence that bursts out of this track that could only come from someone who has earned his stripes in the cut and thrust of what can at times be a fickle dance music scene.

"Heavy Manners" plays a foil to this boisterous A-side without dipping the energy levels. Sagi still has his pedal to the metal, but this time he winds through mystical, filter sweeping pads that hark back to synth rich early 90s trance séances of the highest caliber. The bubbling 303 only further fuels this sense of psychoactive flashback, and the hypnotic film sample provides the perfect icing on the cake. The Fifth EP on FireScope Records, the new sub label of the legendary B12 Records, welcomes Mr John Shima. Established in Sheffield in the early 90's with a multitude of releases, John has appeared on Ferox, Boe Recordings, Common Dreams, Diametric, and Subwax to name but a few ! The EP entitled Elements Unknown, is pure techno for laying back in a dark room and floating away, highly detailed layers of electronic sounds interweaved together to create emotion rarely found in electronic music. Drawing inspiration from UK pioneers such as B12, Stasis, LFO, Black Dog but delivering it in a modern way, John has managed to carve out his own unique sound while staying true to his roots. This is uncorrupted UK techno in its purest form.
Elements ' Wonderful swirling pads, envelope a crisp drum track and set the pace for a pure retro DX bassline to punch its way over the top. Sit back and close your eyes.
'Symbols' A pure sci-fi FM workout. Metallic sine waves modulating each other to create a kind of robotic funk.
'Implant' This track is driven along by a gorgeous bobbing bassline and consistent drum rhythm. The top line synths interplay with each other and create a wall of sound while pure 90's pad sings its song 'Illuminate' This track has the slowest vibe on the EP and is almost hypnotic in its delivery. Pads and Drums constantly evolve and will carry you away to some place we can only dream of. Finished in glorious blue and grey marble vinyl with exclusive full colour artwork by the amazing J. Mccreadie
