Since his emergence in 2010, Madben's melodic, Detroit-inspired techno evolved, with various releases on Caduceus, Astropolis Records, Off Recordings, Inflyte and Bedrock. Nowadays, the Paris-based artist remains a key figure in France's new generation of techno producers, with an upcoming debut LP on Astropolis Records. Swinging from atmospheric sounds to techno, Madben produces an alchemy of rave anthems, hardware material and groovy, emotional music. With support from France's favourite Laurent Garnier, Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, Fréquence(s) unveils his skillfull, mature universe.

12 tracks compose the album. The opening 'Space Bubbles' carries a cinematic, ethereal touch designed for dancefloor, from dusk till dawn. 'Mouvement circulaire' sets out a slow hypnotic rythm, leading to "Narcotica" and its warm melodies. 'MG's Groove', produced with master Laurent Garnier uncovers Madben's house moves, percussive beats and distorted synths. 'Reminiscence' and 'Stripes' wink at Madben's earlier melodic techno inprints, while 'Don't Lose the Beat' uses old school vocal as the LP's boiling point. Modern techno vision is underlined with tracks such as 'Tom & Tom' and 'The Struggle', both waving between UK inspirations, aerial sounds and Ben's original signature. Featuring with Manu le Malin and Rebekah Warrior, 'Grief, Dance to Death' stands out from the rest, swaying betwixt French vocals and rave spirit, whereas the album's last piece, 'Lunar Park', ends the journey with a gripping ethereal melody.

Having presented focused artist releases since the beginning, Dissonant is proud to present its first ''Various Artists EP''. Supporting new talent alongside well-established figures, this collection of tracks throws some exciting new names into the label. Marc Antona makes a welcome return with the thrilling spirit track, "Lord of Combines''. His refined drum science is carefully arranged with immersive organic textures creating a rising energy while maintaining the voluptuous appeal of the rhythm. Jayro shows up a fearless imagination and serious studio maturity, "Psicodelica" lives up to its name with all kinds of head-spinning sound effects whirling around a playful, snaking drumbeat. David Gtronic makes his debut in Dissonant with ''Rana'' where his sonic identity, builtup with organic textures and melodies, stands out in a perfect combination of subtle dub elements alongside strong rhythmic flow. Counrad come across with the hypnotic rhythm of ''The Human Centipede'' where the club oriented groove stretches out with restraint and increasing tension, blossoming outbreak energy engaged this alluring Tech House trip. All four tracks have their own distinct qualities, but combined on one release, they reflect the vibe of the label perfectly.

Fever AM comes from a Berlin connection between a pair of artists with roots on either side of the Mediterranean Sea and on both sides of the Atlantic. Label founders Mor Elian and Rhyw (one half of Cassegrain) share many musical reference points reaching back to early childhood right up to the present including the deeper, darker reaches of electronic music. The label is the pair s rawest and truest realisation of these influences.

The first EP will be from Elian, a sublime 4 tracker that has matured after a winter in the studio and is now ready for club play - from heating up peak time dance floors to trippier after hours moments. Sprinkling her trademark stripped back sound with electro and breakbeats the release sets out the label s stall to release vibrant, challenging dance floor music.

Ossian's debut solo EP comes out on South London's Analogue Material (SLAM), the label he created with Ansome 3 years ago. After a previous joint release on SLAM and a remix on Perc Trax , We get to see original tracks from Ossian for the first time. 'Shock & Awe' is a hard, noisy, dancefloor ripper with mesmeric synth stabs that sets the Tone of release in no uncertain terms, next is 'Sickly Inhibitions', and dark broken beat Track full of screams, choral samples and breaks with vocals reminiscent of the silver screen and the Early days of motion picture. The last of the original tracks is 'Necessary Illusions', another powerful dancefloor track, the distorted drums are Accompanied by screeching synths, twisted noise and battle horns to finish EP SLAM welcomes UVB the label for the first time with his remix of 'Necessary Illusions' showcasing his robust sound Taking elements of the original and subtly reworking them.

Wata Igarashi's flourishing recognition as a producer with striking competence and flair has marked him as a valuable affiliate on the record. He demonstrates different areas of focus with two new versions of Black Massing. The Daylight Breaks Remix opens up the high-end, expressing the delicate harmonics of the original with rushing upward arpeggios. The Dusk Falls Remix instead hones in on the deep and anticipatory nature of its foundation.

Marco Shuttle's foreboding Morning Star remix feels skilfully subtractive, magnifying elements by adding space and drawing focus to its melodic asides. Function plays with the contemplative nature of Down in his version, adding dynamic percussion and energy while retaining its expression and depth.

To start the series, we provide an awesome lineup, made of well trained veterans that need no introduction like UK legend Steve Bicknell, Spanish maestro Reeko and label owner P.E.A.R.L.

Time has come for a new AdMaiora release, and this time comes from the hands of Italian Yaya, who marks his debut with the astonishing 'Kayama EP'. Hailing from Turin, Yaya is surely not a newcomer into the global house and techno scene, with appearances from Desolat to Etruria Beat and Kina Music.

He has totally earned his stripes as a reputable DJ and producer over the past few years, having also his own party in Turin called 'Savana Potente'.

In his productions he melt together all the sounds from his multicultural background, collaborating with various Italian producers and being remixed by Tini and Gel Abril to name a few, making bombs after bombs and his latest two tracker 'Kayama' is no exception.

Kicking off with the entitled track EP, serious cavernous bass meets 909 solid groove structure, whilst several females pitched and delayed vocals perfectly work together for an endless hypnotic dimension.

'Come To Me' is the perfect example of Yaya's versatility in the studio as he moves for the second original into a more melodic and trippy space where wisely selected silken pads lap upon the senses. As the track moves on, a gentle acid line joins the toughened up drums and the unpredictable b-line elevate this monster to a whole new standard.

After establishing their Indigo Aera label over the last seven years, Amsterdam figures Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff now step up onto Delsin with a four track debut EP which includes a remix from the legendary Sterac. Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff are long time players on the Amsterdam scene as residents at De School, esteemed label bosses who have put out music by the likes of Kirk Degiorgio, Stephen Brown and Louis Haiman, and as producers with a richly atmospheric dub techno sound. Steve Rachmad aka Sterac joined the studio for the mix down of all tracks, and also provided a dub version of Tesseract. It completes a package of deep and artful techno that is laced with beautiful ambience.

The 'Sterac Dub' is now featured on the cover cd of TSUGI magazine, mixed by The Black Madonna!

Don't expect dancefloor burners here, this time the spanish techno master goes deep and low, exploring sonic textures, low BPM grooves and the intelligent side of electronic music. Oscar is not new to this sounds, in his Grey Fades To Green or Muscle and Mind albums he showcased his abilities in this field as well as with his Av projects Biolive and Monochrome. Another exciting debut on Be As One, this time coming from a real stalwart of the German Techno scene of the past two decades, Savas Pascalidis, with a first on Be As One. With "Fading Lights EP" Savas explores shades of modern Techno while retaining his trademark classic sound throughout the 4 tracks, delivering a perfect fit between the German talented producer and the label's exciting catalogue. * Taking its title from a Minoan legend that deals with rage, greed and destruction, the latest release from Abyss X expands and reconstructs conceptions of aural space and time. Out on February 16 on Danse Noire, Pleasures of the Bull finds the multi-disciplinary artist and producer flirting with the sounds of hard jazz while mystifying the parameters of experimental music across several distinct movements, thus allowing the listener to break free from their sonic principles.
* Intoxicating, ambient textures mesh with Abyss X's own expressive vocals, as well as the sounds of the traditional Cretan lyra, played by Maria Skoula. Her sound modification creates a collage of temporalities - allow yourself to move outside linear dimensions, and her to confide in you. Prog rock guitar lines twist stolidly beneath warped vocal samples, and the timbre of the bowed lyra permeates the atmosphere in a thick, suffocating haze.
* As the listener travels through space and time, so too does the artist. Abyss X delves into the fullness of her craft, drawing from her background in theater and performance, in addition to the frenzied energy of her live shows as a musician. The music throbs with a frantic yet unmistakably deliberate drama. Pleasures of the Bull feels like a gentle punch in the gut; a compelling auditory performance and a bold exploration of the narrative album format.

After his debut in 2015 on the infamous Gang Of Ducks we are very happy to welcome SABLA from Turin on DISK for an ex-tended play. No shit: His dark polyrhythms create a uniquely haunted atmosphere, slowly sucking you into an irresistible vortex of trance-inducing intertwinedness, pretty much like a daemon abduction into the outer space of your inner self!

Carl Finlow returns with a double pack under his renowned Electro pseudonym, Silicon Scally, featuring tracks produced for the live set he performed to a packed crowd at London's long-running Scand night at the tail end of 2017.

In Carl's own words: 'I used to use a real 808 back in the '90s but when I moved over to France it was left with it's original owner, Ralph Lawson. My equipment was gone almost entirely apart from my Apple Mac, which I used to write ALL of my stuff for about 10 years. Over the last few years I've been experimenting with lots of different USB midi controllers and I've finally ended up with a few that really allow me to play around in real time with both my audio and midi parts and I created a setup where I can have full hands on control of two killer plugins, the D16 Group's Nepheton 808 and Audiorealism's ABL3 303 emulation. The main controller I'm using is the Akai APC40mkII which allows me to map a huge amount of knobs to both of those plugins whilst also giving me mixer faders and pads to trigger drum clips in Ableton Live. Alongside this I also use the Novation LaunchPad Pro to trigger all my bass, keyboard and fx parts. The two units work in really nice harmony with each other and they give me a huge amount of real time control over the live set.'

'Live @ Scand' comprises 8 tracks of pure and undiluted electro ranging from glistening cuts like openers 'Chrysonite' and 'Emeril', dark and forceful with 'Candensium' and 'Mordite', the fluidity of 'Fervidium' and 'Antrium', or dappled workouts like 'Plugneum' and closing track 'Omegon'.

Algorithmic apparatus, dissonant strings, saxophones and twisted sounds are the elements that characterize the tracks of this release. Zavor proposes his first personal EP on Playful Science focusing his attention on the possible combination of elements and styles coming from his different musical experiences, from mixtures of jazz sounds and synthetic elements to the more marked and hypnotic rhythm.

Coldgeist's music on Unknown Bodies is an intimate reinterpretation of coldwave, techno and dark ambient codes, uttered with strength, guts, and an underlying romantic soul. Inspired by nocturnal runs of "bosozoku" bikers clans, who stem from this japanese subculture of the late seventies ; Coldgeist has created a series of soundscapes and songs that evoke speeding through foggy nights and fluorescent lights. Haunting repetitions and stiffness of the rhythms as a metaphor of mechanical gestures, of bodies turned into units of consumption, stranded from the life and passion they crave. The frustration of a youth that only finds relief in extreme experiences, danger, and the sexual tension of speed and crashes. With analog and digital instruments, field recordings but also his own voice and songs, Coldgeist has bred a truly unique record.

Italian duo Hiver present the Spiritual Machines EP, their debut on Obscura. 'Inverted Scale' brandishes a hypnotic synth lead that swirls into a formidable energy. The title track is a meditative ambient cut immersed in deep waters, whilst 'Glass Effect exposes a similar form with radiant sonic properties. On the B side, Orbe turns the title track into a low slung basement workout, whilst Crossing Avenue's rework of RJ45 channels psytrance and rave sentiments.

Milos arrives with his fifth release on his Receptive Visions label. Two Techno cuts with plenty of energy and emotion, aimed directly for the dance floor. Contact High with it's swirling sounds, moving in and out of this rather tasty techno groove. Priming on the other side has solid drums with rave style stabs, that adds a different feel to this vinyl only release.

Joyous electro-braindance-acid hardware wonkouts, straight outta Grenoble. Binary Digit follows a string of cassette-only releases with a vinyl debut on Dream Ticket, the new label from the team behind Lisbon's staple Carpet & Snares Records. The fourth installment in John Osborn's DRED RECORDS series will be from fellow UK producer Harsh Puri who goes under the moniker Reformed Society. DRED 004 consists of six tracks in total - three that will appear on the vinyl release, followed by another three that will be digital-only exclusives. Harsh Puri aka Reformed Society debuted in 2015 with this being his sixth consecutive release in order. Harsh's productions caught John's eye, or rather ear, after being sent to him last year and resulted in this release of six solid prime time deep house stompers. Packaged in an understated matte white sleeve with a black and white picture of Brahma (the four headed Hindu god of creation) handstamped on each cover by the label owner himself, this being a continuation of the human skull DRED logo. 'ONE LIFE' opens the 'DIMENSIONS' EP and is the track given to label boss John Osborn for deconstructing and remoulding into his own specific vision - each release will contain a rework from Osborn. If you are familiar with John's previous work you will immediately recognize his characteristic resonating percussion, the tune being a deep house sci-fi storm expedition driven by a full luscious kick covering the tracks of chords from unsettled pads. The EP's title track has ambient sonic rays flowing through it, being aptly named 'DIMENSIONS' - it is also the record's warmest adventure; distorted percussion juggles sparse subaqueous melodic moments, and from here we go into the 12s final moment, 'CHASING TITANOID". Reformed Society goes in with full yet silent force on this one. A warped bassline co-creates the groove with a particularly bouncy beat with sharp strings piercing though.

Out with old, in with the bold... Pets prepare us for a fresh new year start with an early-ears peak at what they have in store for 2017. It starts right here with a techno maestro who - thanks to a deep stash of thoroughbred beats on Soma, Hypercolour, Echocord and Kontra - shouldn't require much of an introduction: Roberto Clementi. Resident at Harmonized - one of Italy's finest underground club institutions - here we find Roberto analysing his role at its fullest flex: the range, versatility and subtlety and the almost important need to master all shades of the night: the ability to set the scene and prepare the countdown, knowing when to play the lead and knowing how to bring things home with respect to the dancefloor who make the party every single trip. It begins with 'Avesys' in every possible way: its dubby warmth, rippling rhythmic elements and patient percussive builds (all wrapped up with soft-but-stern insistency), don't just mark the perfect tone and timbre of an on-point take off set, but also trigger the whole full-spectrum, deep space EP concept. Scene setters don't come any clearer. 'Voschod' follows with a one-way trip into space as we explore the lesser-told half of the 60s space race and the Russian's second wave manned spacecraft trips. You can almost hear the countdown as the kicks rumble beneath you and you can definitely feel the fire power and low end thrust when the full track takes off. Soft Armour is Christian Hougaard, a Danish producer. 'Multi Terrain' is his debut full length, after two ep's. The album is a mesmerizing marriage between ambient and IDM, loaded with soundscapes, field recordings, bass lines and dynamic electronic percussion. That being said, don't expect typical techno, drum & bass or dubstep beats. The ones on this album seem to breathe their own air, go their own way and drag you into an immersive audio adventure. Think Autechre, µ-Ziq or Squarepusher, that will get you closer to the sounds on this album.

Emanton (Dann Abala) is an Argentinian producer, electronic musician and thereminist. After studying with synth maestro Ernesto Romeo, Dann began producing under Emanton and also has an experimental alias as Turvia. Here we have what Emanton perfectly describes as "hard esoteric/mystical/ mega darkness sound". Four dark and pounding tracks with leanings toward industrial in uences and maintaining a consistently propulsive sound-design techno vibe. Carefully crafted with a diverse spread of analog gear/synths and modular instruments. Absolutely perfect example of the Transfusions aesthetic.

Beginning in the early '90s, Emmanuel Top became France's first techno superstar, even if his popularity was greater in countries like Germany and England than his own. He released a multitude of 12"s on the Attack label -- La Pipe a Eau, Krankenhaus, Ecsta-Deal, Stress, Turkish Bazar, and many more -- many of which are compiled on the triple-disc Release collection from 1995. Top's next step took him to Nova Mute alongside heavyweights like Plastikman. In addition to his solo work, Top also collaborated with Bruno Sanchioni and Bruno Quartier in the mid- to late '90s as the trance act B.B.E. ("Seven Days and One Week") and also as Age of Love (the original "Age of Love").

For his latest release, Top perks up on emerging Chilean label, Sienna Obscure. Helmed by producer Jeavan Vega, the label has already played host to some of techno's foremost players, with Steve Rachmad, Neil Landstrumm, Steve Stoll and Philippe Petit just some of those who've graced the label in recent times. Entitled the Redux EP, it sees Top deliver two exceptional originals, with remixes coming from none other than Hardfloor and Joey Beltram.

The release opens with the title track, 'Redux'. A slamming peak-time number full of tense atmosphere, it quickly unfurls into a track of gargantuan proportions. By the time the acid-led baseline plays out, it's drawn the listener in hook, line and sinker. The other original, 'Blitz', is no less manic. Again, the 909 plays a prominent role, this time alongside another cast of ominous, unrelenting beats.

Hardfloor then emerge with their remix of 'Redux'. A catchy monster that's made for peak time floors, its almost abrasive feel is matched only by its steely, industrial motifs. Although it deviates windily from the original, it's nonetheless a fitting tribute. Culminating the package is Joey Beltram, who (momentarily, at least) takes matters down a notch on his interpretation of 'Redux'. Beltram's history in techno circles needs no explaining, and this remix is ample proof that he's evidently in no mood to slow down any time soon. A raucous reworking, it closes the release in assured style.

A double album of dirty, raw, bone-grinding Techno from post apocalyptic survival times by Franziska Lantz released on Global Warming Records, London 2017 Loaded with heavy distortion, fat textures, harsh beats, relentless rhythms, moody synths and erratic melodies, this sound is bursting with rawness and urgency. It's been a long time coming digging through the archives, legendary UK acid don Luke Vibert drops an exquisite solo record on the Belgian De:tuned label. On 'pHlacid' and 'Arcadia' Luke shows off his ability to produce funky yet quirky acid tracks that will put a smile on your face. Both 'Balath' and 'Worry Ledge' are intense uptempo electro workouts with enough 303 squelch to melt your brain, proper warehouse vibes!
The artwork for this release was designed by the wonderful gents at The Designers Republic. Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy and pressed on 180 gr vinyl. A separate digital release will also be available at the usual digital shops. Stay tuned!

Chicago's Jamal Moss moves further up his mysterious path towards unknown planets with new punchy tracks for Cejero. Using his The Sun God moniker Moss has once again set out to hypnotize dancers and make listeners jack.

The A-side was recorded in Copenhagen, November 2014, while the B-side is a studio recording done back in Chicago.

Calling in the favors: Marcel Dettmann, Roman Flügel and Scuba under his SCB Inversion disguise, take apart songs and tracks from Tuff City Kids' debut album - Adoldesscent'. Dettmann, submisses to his new wave and em callings, keeps the song that is - Scared' intact, but mangles it into a fast-paced pogo piece, while Flügel uses his second take of - RMancer' (see the Happy Gerdy remix for reference) to push it into the K-Lauer abyss, before SCB Inversion tones down the rockism of - Nordo' and makes it inherently his own. To complete the picture, you get - Thorarium' by TCK themselves. A previously unreleased track that is basically a remix of a previously unreleased track. Haha!

Subosc is back with the second chapter of the "Organic Elements" series dedicated to Techno music characterized by refined ambient aesthetics. The EP includes contributions from Kessell (Polegroup, Granulart), Hiroaki Iizuka (known for his works on Coda Records, Nheoma and his appereance on Tresor), Drafted (Soma, Balans, MMaudio) and Ben Buitendijk (Field Records, Oblique, Mosaic).Although the tracks are clearly aimed for the dancefloor, they are also perfect for intimate listening, since the modeling approach used considers a balance between the sharpness and effectiveness of traditional techno elements with the mellowness of dreamy textures, pads and atmospheres. Inspiring, mind wandering, intense and analog souding are the most suitable adjectives to descrive these compositions, in which the mixture of influences from four minds blends in a unique outcome. A must have for all the collectors and lovers of modern techno with a soul attitude.

New York City has had a long history of dance music fused with confrontational performance. Whether it came from within the late 70's No Wave canon projected through venues like the Mudd Club or the downtown avant-garde galleries such as The Kitchen, the feeling that influences and infects Brooklyn-based duo Wetware's overall being as a cohesive and confrontational unit is as much enigmatic as it is familiar. Formed in 2015, Wetware eased into its performative role with their live shows around their home base of Brooklyn, NY.

Vocalist Roxy Farman, who's familiar voice was last seen on Drew McDowall's 'Unnatural Channel' album, stole audience's attention from the moment they started, using her body in tandem with her voice as a weaponised vehicle for the band's anxiety filled performance. Matthew Morandi cut his teeth in the electronic music world through his solo tech-industrial project Jahiliyya Fields and partner to Inhalants, the techno collaboration of Morandi and Max Ravitz (Patricia). The synergy that developed between Farman and Morandi has been explosive. Wetware's live antics and behaviour has caused alarm and envy amongst their local audiences, causing Wetware the group to 'not be missed' on any particular bill that they are allowed to take part in.


Wetware stepped out from their live persona and self-recorded a selection of songs that viewers had grown accustomed to and were debuted on the flawlessly curated Primitive Languages imprint. Shortly following their recorded premier was an EP collection of demo recordings on the much praised Bank NYC label. Once the band reconciled with documenting their work, they set out, with the help of engineer Kris Lapke (Alberich / Hospital Productions) to formalise their most recent output in the context of their first full length album entitled 'Automatic Drawing'.

Given Wetware's penchant for endurance, as displayed by their 3 hour long production at Koenig & Clinton Gallery in the Summer of 2017, one would expect the usual restlessness on Wetware's debut full length. All of the apprehension and unease in Wetware seems to have been channeled into a string of cohesive electronic statements found on songs 'Frequent Dreamlands' and 'Ode to Joe'. Industrial dance rhythms bounce around Farman's poetic stance on 'Where Ever You Were', causing flashbacks of an early 80's dystopia that jumps around a confusing, uncomfortable backdrop. Inter-spliced with modular electronic instrumentals like the album's opener 'Pantomime', Wetware's devastating portrait is that of a society in peril.

Jonny White's Art Department returns this March with his first solo EP in nearly 3 years, the first of a string of releases planned for 2018. The record features three inventive new tracks, including one produced in association with New York house pioneer Toddy Terry and vocalist Roland Clark. In no uncertain terms, this package re-asserts Art Department as one of contemporary house music's most essential voices.
White has continued to build on the early success of Art Department with solo works and high-profile collaborations in recent years. It is an alias that transcends genre, infused with elements of dub, acid, house and techno and is well informed by the past whilst always striding into future and unknown musical territory. This new release does this once more with three standout productions that are a further bold statement of intent.
First is 'Sour Jazz', a cut which intimately shows off White's originality in the studio, delivering a sublime production rooted in driving, weighty drums and twisted bass. Up top, pained synths bring a sense of real emotion to the groove and as things unfold, keys run down the face of the arrange- ment. Clever breakdowns build the tension and the palpable heat, sweat and intensely of being lost in a packed dancefloor oozes out of the track, flooding you with feeling.
The brilliantly bristling '721 (Queen St)' shows off White's ability to programme an essential and absorbing drum line: it is bouncy and big, elastic and lively, and cannot fail to get under your skin thanks to its instantly classic sound and old school flavour. The physical nature of those drums are offset with deft chords which dance up top and bring light to the track, while sax lines gently drift in and out for extra musical flavour.
And so to 'Roots Deep', a collaboration that spans the decades, back to the roots of house music with Todd Terry and Roland Clark. Reminiscent of earlier Art Department records with unforgettable hooks tied down with tough percussion, it is an immediately timeless anthem done as only this man can. Waves of synth and echoing vocal stabs set the stage, but it's when the famous 'in the beginning' vocal starts that hands will go skyward and the club will erupt. It brings a near religious edge and gospel feel to the track, whilst a standout bassline tumbles down the scales to finish things in robust style.
Once again here, Art Department combines a true understanding of dance-floor dynamics and house history with a unique sense of vision that ensures this is an EP packed with vital and inventive new sounds.

The tireless and titanic dance figure that is DJ T. is next up on Seth Troxler's essential Play It Say It label.

DJ T. has done it all in his long and storied career, from setting up one of the most influential labels in Get Physical to founding Groove Magazine via opening the Monza Club and, of course, serving up always inventive EPs and LPs on the best labels of the day. His sound has evolved through many house, disco and tech styles and has kept him an in-demand DJ for more than 25 years. These new missives are yet more proof that few know how to work the floor as well as DJ T.

The perfectly menacing 'Keep It Close' kicks things off with a dark, snaking bassline underpinning freaky synth stabs. The pressure builds throughout and will have the crowd locked in before it pulls back and builds again with a masterful grasp of mood.

Hitting much harder is the excellent 'The Day It All Started', a more physical house track with solid kicks is designed for maximum impact in the club. Tumbling bass and gurgling synth riffs flesh this one out and ensure it is a real piece of dynamite.

Last of all is the retro-tinged '1988', with its tightly programmed drums, slick claps and spraying acid line. It's a wild track to get the freaks out of the shadows and on to the 'floor.

This is a fresh EP that offers three very different but equally effective club tracks that are sure to blow up in the coming months.

The third (& final) instalment of DJ Deeon's unreleased and archival EP's is here! In the spirit of the previous 2 we've asked the man to dig into his tapes for those rare and raw cuts that the make the heads salivate! Kicking things off in fine style is Deeon's take on of 'Let it be house' from 1997, included here is a longer, unreleased mix of this absolutely banging near-cover version of Mike Dunn's perennial Chicago classic. This one is sure to do damage, a booming call to arms for the soldiers of house nation! Essential business. 'Exta-C' is up next, according to Deeon himself this is one he constantly gets asked about so it made sense for it to be back out there on the streets. Pure, unadulterated jacking zone material, funky as f*ck and unforgiving. A surefire winner in the dance! 'Kurokin Push' starts proceedings on side-b, a manic acid tinged killer with a bassline that oozes funk. Swinging in all the right ways this jam is destined to be big and sits nicely with all the other rare as hens teeth selections on the EP. Deeon fans will not be disappointed! Next up we have the infamous 'Boody Mover' from 1997, remastered straight offa the DAT! A sly nod to Jack Frost's acid classic 'Dap Me'. We felt this one sits nicely (no pun intended) in amongst the other cuts on this EP, some vintage ghetto DM sh*t right here, storming! 'if this don't make your booty move your booty must be dead'! Last, and certainly not least, we have Deeon's 'Low end theory' project from 1995 giving us 'Wicked', a demented acid track that tweaks in all the right places! A perfect finisher to this 5 cut monster of an EP showcasing one of the pioneers of this sound. All in all, a collection of essential jams for the freaks here, snooze ye not! Floorplan is already well known as Robert Hood's house outlet, which this year evolves into a family affair with co-production alongside his daughter, Lyric. 'Victorious' is the second Floorplan album and follow-up to 2013's 'Paradise' which spawned 'Let's Ride, 'Baby Baby' and the massive 'Never Grow Old'. The new album itself is preceded by the double-headed single 'Music' / 'Tell You No Lie'.

As Robert once again extends his minimal techno sound via his 'Paradigm Shift' project on Dekmantel, he also returns his focus to house, disco, funk and gospel to the Floorplan show, which now takes a surprising twist. Having watched her father DJ the world over from the shadows and numerous appearances in the Floorplan DJ set Lyric Hood comes centre-stage alongside her father.

The Floorplan project first came to light in 1996 when Hood used it to announce his Drama imprint with the highly sought after 'Funky Souls' EP (subsequently re-issued by Rush Hour in 2010). Lying dormant for over a decade, the late 2000's saw a revitalized Hood re-establish Floorplan into what may well now be his most widely known musical outlet. This year, with his daughter making Floorplan a family affair, the duo's 'Victorious' album is primed to set the world's dancefloors alight.

Launching with the heady house swirl of 'Spin', Robert and Lyric then drop the deeper stylings of lead single 'Music' which builds into a hypnotic, bass-driven anthem. Picking up on Hood's trademark razor-sharp percussion 'The Heavens & The Earth' brings the Bible to the floor (with added funk) and 'Good Thang' shows the strong influence of Chicago as a simple refrain turns into a house missile from the pulpit!

'He Can Save You' continues the Chicago/Gospel theme but with a more driving techno edge whilst 'Mmm Hmm Hmm' marries powerful chords to trumpets, dynamic bass, booty refrains and skilful sampling creating yet another hands up anthem. 'Ha Ya' has that stripped back minimal feel we all know and love and perhaps the closest we get to touch on the classic Hood sound whilst 'Tell You No Lie' is pure, un-adulterated disco-string drenched fun(k) and already tearing down dancefloors as we speak.

'Push On' takes us back to the tight, knife-edged percussion of Chicago's house vanguard, reminding of the tougher sounds of DJ International and DJ Deeon, DJ Funk and Boo Williams. 'They Can Tell' kicks in with a no-nonsense, foot stomping kick drum as Floorplan chop up the vocal refrain into what becomes the main hook of the track and finally 'Sun In the Sky' brings the disco back with yet another string-laden anthem to bring the Floorplan show to a fittingly, uplifting end.

After his collaboration with Adam Beyer Joseph Capriati teams up with Flavio Folco for the second Redimension with a fully analogue production in the studio. A wide range of sounds taking you deeper into their idea of space, dimension and possible destinations. Joseph's creativity received a new drive from the collaboration with the emerging talent Flavio Folco whose musical roots range from Jazz to Hip Hop and Acid House. Their studio sessions in Barcelona and Flavio's openings sets at Capriati's shows gave both of them the chance to get to know each other on a deeper musical level which turned into an unexpected and dynamic EP.

The welcome and wondrous return of Lyon musician Baptiste Martin's aerial ambient identity, Les Halles, following a year's sabbatical from recording, Zephyr takes its name from a light westerly wind, which aptly evokes the warm, weightless, whispering spirit of these beguiling ambient designs. Working entirely with a computer for the first time, Martin's sample bank swelled in both depth and detail, giving his compositions a crisper focus and finer grain. Slovakian fujara flutes shudder and shimmer, offset with rippling PVC panpipes, chimes, and gentle webs of delay.

The tracks are titled according to their sample source, designated with one of three words that are same in French and English: horizon, mirage, and distance. Martin speaks of these pieces as conjuring 'landscapes with almost no human traces,' and his criterion for completion is simple: 'When I feel like I'm losing the perception of time while listening.' Nine new divinations by one of today's most attuned waking dreamers.

For its 52th release, Be As One has picked the rising Italian talent Marco Faraone, with a 4 tracks EP, that showcases different takes of Marco's approach to Techno. The EP title track 'Restrictions' opens the 12 with a dark, fast-paced groove and hypnotic vocal, a real treat for the authentic Techno players. With 'Day 20 Marco ravels into the Dub Techno forest, with classic Dub elements that set the tone to a deeper mood. 'Voices From The Sea' follows up with a more festive approach, a big room anthem that keeps the dark vibe on the release. For the vinyl heads, an exclusive treat for the 12 its 'Early Morning", getting a due vinyl pressing after being featured exclusively on the 2013 live compilation by Shlomi Aber.

It's a rare moment in the life of Hood's M-Plant when he hands over to another producer, but no surprise that he should pick Mark Broom for the next release, seeing as he's previously been entrusted to provide edits of Hood's tracks for MPM19.

As part of M-Plant's 20th Anniversary, it's the perfect time for Robert Hood to re-visit one of his other decisive monikers, Monobox. As Robert Hood stated in his "Fireside Chat" for RBMA Radio: "Monobox was an alien project. I read this book when I was probably around 13 or 14. It was this ominous black box that came from some other universe, and it was just sort of hovering over the planet, over a cornfield somewhere. After maybe a few weeks it began to open up and objects and these creatures from another world began to emerge from this box. The whole thing about Monobox was that it was an alien life form. To approach minimalism from an alien futuristic perspective." The deep and melodious tones of 'Film' are beautifully offset by the tougher machine groove of 'Rectangle', with both tracks conveying the hypnotic minimalist approach of Hood's otherworldly Monobox sound.

Belfast-producer Space Dimension Controller, a.k.a. Jack Hamill, may be landing his debut release on Dekmantel, but he's definitely no stranger to their shores. With the three-track EP 'Gaining Time' clocking in at over 35-minutes, phasing between cosmic kaleidoscopic house, and serene, epic ambient, — a sonic atmosphere reminiscent of the background resonance the galaxy permeates on a daily basis — Hamill's Dekmantel debut is closer to that of an album, than your average set of club 12's.

Hamill began his production career with the space-disco EP 'Journey to the core of the unknown sphere', a record that truly set him apart from his peers, showcasing his technical nuance, and love of melodics. Since then he's further established himself through conceptual-album projects on Ninja Tune, experimental dancefloor EPs on R&S Records, and experimentations on techno through Royal Oak. With his penchant for techno, and inclination towards painting musical narratives around science fiction and electro-futurism, Hamill is the next step in evolution towards Detroit-like, future music, albeit from Northern Ireland.

His latest EP kicks off with 'Everything is Better Now' and a countdown that blasts off into a trans-dimensional 14-minute journey of warped kicks, pads that phase in-and-out of our conventional timezone, a bassline that doesn't pop-up until the four-minute mark — like a gravity fluctuation abruptly peering through a temporary wormhole—, melody, character, and a free flowing story arc worthy of the Space Dimension Controller himself. 'Everything is Better Now' is an epic, techno-futurist journey of progressive, fluid, epicness. 'NRG Intersect' is a beautiful 15-minute ambient transmission from outer space, played out with synth chords, across strummed melodies and a tape deck hitch here and there, like an uncoded language from a far off land - as if Brian Eno himself has forgotten to include the track on his lunar, legacy record 'Apollo'. 'Still Returning' takes the ambient coding and minimises it yet further, like Solaris itself beckoning from its cloudy, deep, mystic blue oceans.

Legendary Los Hermanos member Santiago Salazar's album 'Aspirations For Young Xol' is given a vinyl release courtesy of Rekids.

A heartfelt dedication to his son Isaias, 'Aspirations for Young Xol' takes us through the life of a pillar in the electronic music community - Santiago Salazar. From his formative years spent in California to his connection with Detroit and the passing of a childhood friend, the long-player's tracks signpost the musician's significant experiences, both positive and negative. This meaningful body of work was released digitally on Pastel Voids and now Rekids release the album on wax.

'Saturated Fear' sets a deep tone for the LP, flanging melodies and echoing claps float through the composition before the album's title track 'Aspirations for Young Xol' offers haunting arpeggios with occasional acidic overtones which are cleverly offset by beautifully designed lead synth transitions. 'Bloodlines' follows a similar musical vein with delayed bass riffs that are suspended above shimmering hihats and a weighted kick.

Santiago provides three beatless pieces throughout, which digress into more emotional territory whilst offering brief respite from his heavier drum work. 'Xol's Pain' combines orchestral strings and swelling synthesisers which build tension with a subtly complex, evolving motif. Both 'Dark Matter' and 'Ode to Stinson' use arresting atmospheres, warped arpeggios and ethereal pads which lull the listener into a retrospective mood.

An intensity builds in the later tracks, a gritty but powerful low end provides a solid foundation in 'Orange Blossom Thump', eventually making way for a hectic and elastic lead synth before 'Pachuco Dub' displays drones that build a dissonant pressure in which the complex tom rhythms and rolling hi hats can grow. 'Sarah Rivera' hypnotises with its delectable chord progressions and complimentary melodies which seem to float above a rigid drum composition to close the album with style.

Psyk kicks off with a tom based space out remix of Lucid. Heavy soundscapes and pads are layered over the fine rhythm of toms. Henning Baer takes care of Aporia with a weird metal loop kinda vibe and a straight forward beat rhythm to keep the speed.

TWR72 gave Colloquial a groovy treatment. With minimal, filtered and slightly oldskool elements they changed the original parts into a little killer. Talking about minimal, on the flipside ROD delivers greatness on Lucid with his cut and slide technique. Neznan closes the EP in style, because his style is impeccable. When you thought you ve heard it all, Neznan jumps in. An experimental take on Erudite is what you get. And like always, there are hidden messages in his music.

Following up 'Drawn With Shadow Pens' on Spectrum Spools, Belgian sound artist Yves De Mey returns with 'Bleak Comfort', his third solo full-length. Geared towards serving up an intense musical experience, the album deconstructs regular club music to highlight some of its key elements in a transformative way.

An album about absence, malfunction and disorientation, 'Bleak Comfort' is equally packed with floor-functional material and left-of-centre electronics. By turn sizzling and spherical, convulsive and atmospheric, Yves De Mey ushers his listener in a hypnotic kaleidoscope of sounds, providing a fascinating picture of his ever dynamic grammar at variable scales and tempos.

Since 2006, the Deep Heet series of recordings has shown the public an especially distinctive side of the production work of Planetary Assault Systems. With a unique 'engine room' ambience and a focus upon maintaining a continual surge of pure energy, each volume in the Deep Heet collection has lived up to that title, subtly suggesting the kind of sustained and voluntary temperature rise that has traditionally given way to spiritual or visionary experiences. Just check out tracks such as "Flat Tire" from Volume 3, with its hard percussive edge accompanied by a pervasive hiss like boiling matter changing into gas. P.A.S. helmsman Luke Slater also thinks highly enough of this series to re-work tracks like "Whistle Viper" in recent live sets, or to offer up others (e.g. "Raid") for remixing by Mote-Evolver allies.
It's only appropriate, then, that the 50th overall release on Mote-Evolver should also be the fourth overall volume of Deep Heet. In keeping with Slater's recent forward-thinking self-assessments like the "Planetary Funk" anniversary series, this is simultaneously a summary of past successes and another new evolution in style and content. This new set of four highly concentrated cuts shows how effective Planetary Assault Systems can be at fueling the imagination by fusing together rhythmic and incidental elements into a unified, animated meshwork, without even a prominent melody to help out. For example, on the compelling track "Lazer Organical," listeners will find themselves in the midst of a testing range where thick arcs of coherent plasma ricochet off of the walls.
Deep Heet Vol. 4 also showcases Slater's aptitude for choosing just the right moments to deviate from a steady groove: on the mesmerizing bubblebath of "Random Kingdom," he allows listeners to sink into the rising sonic foam before interjecting with some sharp metallic hits. The leadoff track "Desert Races" proceeds in similar fashion, weaving a web of luminous sequencer patterns around the listener before and cutting in with sudden fluctuations or distortions that function like a hypnotist's suggestions after an entranced patient has become fully responsive. "Life Rhythm," on the other hand, is a total immersion session in which Slater's presence seems to recede into the background and listeners themselves may begin imagining overtones and sonic ephemera that weren't programmed into the original track.

Eric Estornel's Lone Romantic releases "Anomaly", the new EP of the veteran English-born, France-based producer Carl Finlow.
"Anomaly" is the 3rd instalment, following Estornel's Maceo Plex album "Solar" and the return of his Mariel Ito alias with the "2e Komst" EP, remarking the distinct sound of the label once again, while pushing a step forward at the same time.

With the relaunch of Mariel Ito, the electro and IDM alias of Estornel, that was active in the early 2000s with releases on Modern Love or SCSI-AV and that will see a retrospective album from that time on R&S Records, Lone Romantic is a new suitable platform for Carl's music. However, from the 90s until today, his vast catalog traverses through the most relevant labels out there such as Warp, Soma, Klang, SCSI-AV, Novamute, Satamile, Electrix and his own 2020 Vision.

This episode will take you to a journey into Cumsecade's twisted mind. Only Hardwares are involved in this masterpiece. On the A side, you'll find Grey Friday, which has a real personal story behind it. The track starts with a pure minimal sound where the layers appear little by little to create a melancholic mood. Then, the melody comes in and matches perfectly with all the sweet noises around to take you for this experience. Grey Friday is the kind of emotional tracks that drops this style to the next level.

B side opens with Edene, a remarquable Cumsecade's imprint with its rolling minimal loop that goes on and on, very catchy and efficient, that increase more after each break.

After being in charge of our 2nd EP, Ali Moghrani takes care of the last track with an Edene's remix. He comes back with some housy mood and still with his recognizable groove. A perfect tune to dance.

After last year's stellar EP on L.I.E.S. Records, veteran, Brooklyn-based producer and DJ Jake Reif (Savage Hymn, Upsetting Keys) continues to make waves with his Device Control brand. The first side of the new "EP2" begins with Silhouettes: a robotic, techno-funk work out with a nasty kick drum, swirling modular sounds and a Timothy Leary inspired vocoded vocal. An instrumental version has been included for selectors who prefer tracks to songs.

On the flip, Joystuck continues the aural assault with a slightly more stripped-back approach. Hard-hitting metallic percussion and screaming, alien-esque synth bleeps are all that's necessary here to decimate a dance-floor. Finally, Divisive rounds out the EP with a stomping vengeance, its jacking claps and dissonant harmonics have been carefully designed to deliver a sonic gut-punch, taking no prisoners when played on a club system.

J. Tijn embarks on the eleventh expedition into the exotic lands of palm trees and blue skies with the dark and gritty 'The Deluge' EP. Expedition eleven features four jams packed of heavy drum rhythms, moody synth lines and ambient soundscapes.

After a decade releasing club-savvy music, argentinian producer Alejandro Mosso has lately approached a richer and more profound sound. 'Gaia', his double 12" for Hivern, might be the best expression of such evolution. 'Gaia' is still conceived with the dance-floor in mind -as a matter of fact, some of its tracks have become staples in John Talabot's sets as well as in those of Hivern's core members-. But moreover making people move, it's music that shows a desire of telling stories. "I prefer to refer to them as songs instead of tracks, they all have a certain narrative", says Alejandro. Indeed, these six compositions cover a vast emotional spectrum, expressing raw emotions through detailed and precise productions that never feel too calculated or fabricated. Cuts as Rhea, Uranus and Naiads capture a very specific kind of serene bliss, one in which melancholy is more reassuring than bitter. By contrast, Ares and Dryads explore darker corners, embodying angst through tension-rising soundscapes and solemn choral vocal samples. It's a dichotomy that perfectly captures the ups and downs of any restless mind. In Alejandro's case, it's the result of a particularly introspective period in his life, in which he voluntarily disconnected from the electronic scene in order to regain some perspective on his career and creative process.

Alek S offers up another dose of pensive techno vibes in his "Paradise Lost" EP. Side A opens up with "Bold", a slice of laid back while still pounding techno, boasting zippy synths with an unmistakable analog flavour. It's closely followed by Andres Zacco's rework of "Honey Wheat", an apt reconstruction of the original that's aimed squarely at the dancefloor. The Argentinian producer and recent Ilian Tape alumni dives in with a powerful groove, cutting its way through a suspended atmosphere full of spaced out sounds.
Over on the B-side we're greeted with "Paradise Lost", a slow-paced melody that gradually shifts into a dreamy groove filled with spaced out drums and abstract delays.
Last but not least, the original version of "Honey Wheat" is a somewhat atmospheric, yet functional floor warmer that fits a resigned groove.

A UK producer who has been writing music since 1995, Darren's emotional and heartfelt work with influences from B12 among others fully represents our ethos of proper techno created today.

First landing — 'Things She Said', where swirling pads wrap themselves around perfectly programmed drums and percussion, complemented by wonderful basslines. 'Emulated Emotion' speaks for itself next. Back in 90's San Francisco; Scott, Gavin and Robbie Hardkiss helped pioneer the American Underground scene with their club nights, warehouse parties and groundbreaking record label. They forged a new direction for dance music with a string of vinyl releases by Hawke, God Within, Little Wing and Rabbit In The Moon, culminating in the seminal compilation Delusions Of Grandeur released in 1995. Delusions Of Grandeur made the Billboard Dance charts, went to #1 on the Rolling Stone Alternative Album chart and launched the international DJ/production careers of the Hardkiss brothers.

In 2018 to celebrate the 20th anniversary, the album was remastered and re-released with this new vinyl.

Clash Lion is a mix of three personalities; Shall Ocin, TERR and Daniel Watts. Three artists with different musical backgrounds merging forces to create a truly eclectic and open minded label. With an approach to release unique electronic music covering a multitude of genres from techno to retro electronica, their passion for innovative and experimental productions shows no boundaries.
The labels debut release 'Return' cannot be more aptly named, as it will be the first release from Maetrik aka Maceo Plex, breaking his 5-year hiatus under this moniker since his last EP 'Unleash The Beast' on Ellum.

About this release *First 10 tracks only come with the limited edition Nijmegen's ESHU welcomes co-founder Ivano Tetelepta for his first solo release on the label. It is also the imprint's first full length, but Tetelepta's second album after the hypnotic drum workout that was True Colours, his debut on Fear of Flying in 2012. It comes as a double vinyl release with the first disc being limited, and finds the producer casting himself free from the dance floor and serving up a beautifully atmospheric soundtrack that would be a perfect companion for a nature documentary. When making EPs and 12"s, Tetelepta's smooth and infectious drums are always front and centre in his work, whether solo or as producing with label mates under the ESHU alias. He's also worked with labels like Siena and KERING, but here he shows another side that focusses on short pieces, melody and blissful sound design. To give this album its perfectly warm analogue sound, the whole thing was recorded via cassette and revox tape. The first ten tracks are short, immersive musical worlds with poignant chords and glistening melodies. Some twinkle and shimmer, some sound like an underwater eco system coming to life, and others seem to come from deepest space where solar winds and sonar pulses pass you by. It's cinematic and evocative stuff that takes you away from the here and now and into a different realm. The four tracks on disc two then start with Senang, a suspensory and multi-layered piece of music that has keys, modulations and samples wrapping all around you before Whistle Of Patience has a supple minimal drum line that slowly gets under your skin. Ede 2 Nijmegen is then a turbulent dub track which builds a darker mood before closer De Test sinks back into supple, rubbery and warm drums laced up with hypnotic pads that circle all around. This is an ambitious album of meditative music that offers a beautiful place to lose your mind.

If 2015's sensou EP communicated a more brooding, emotive side to denial.of.service - then contour & shape works in stark contrast. the palette remains relatively unchanged, with the 808 providing the back-bone for most of the compositions, paired with the same warped vox and heady synth leads - but this time around the production aesthetic is harsh and abrasive and there's a powerful, burning immediacy to the work. gone are the delicate, introspective leads & gently saturated drums, and in their place bursts of caustic, high energy noise and twisted drum machine strikes - and though much of the more tentatively dance floor material sticks to a stepping half time rhythm, 4x4 moments make a welcome appearance. contour & shape is bold and direct - a thunderous, high-energy salvo from a true creative with a rich and unique electronic music heritage.
