Bristol beat physicist Second Storey joins the fold of electro dystopians TRUST, and 'Telekinesis Via Fax' picks right up where recent releases for Houndstooth and his R&S collaboration with Appleblim, ALSO, left off. 'Attack Of The Modlings' has deceptively lush pads launch into an industrial grime furor that relentlessly underscores Second Storey's ambition to sonically innovate. Vienna's /DL/MS/, coming right off their recent TRUST debut, reassemble the bits into a subtly layered electro funk banger, before Second Storey steps back onto the plate with the eternally spiralling "Quantock Point To Point" and "Telekinesis Via Fax", the latter evoking memories of Robert Gordon's afro-futurist Black Knight project with hyperkinetic snares and free-wheeling synth licks.

Behind the SSTROM moniker hides one half of SHXCXCHCXSH and a long-time activist of Sweden's experimental techno scene. Having fallen in love with simple melodies and catchy arpeggios when being a member of bitpop/synth band Slagsmalsklubben, he transferred these sensibilities further into his other projects. SSTROM's excellent 2016 debut for Semantica Records was an excellent exercise in lush aquatic techno with breezy and lush atmospheres. The new EP "Vitriol" is informed by the personal experience of the producer, which adds additional warmth and emotional weight to the record. The release brings back memories of earth pigments his father used when painting things in their house, the colours created were usually dark toned with some pastel lightness. This juxtaposition is felt throughout the record, which balances between cinematic futurist moods, steel-wool smoothness and subtle physicality due to its textured nature. The title track kicks-off with Detroitish synth loops wrapped in dense lo-fi soundscapes, while "Sienna" increases the tension by introducing more expansive melodic appeal intertwined with intensity of feather-like 4/4 rhythmics. "Umbra" brings some shadowy sonic undertones immersed into a sea of crackle with melodies constantly resurfacing. The closing "Ockra" bursts with more groovy patterns, yet retaining the same elegant warmth, which seems to be the signature element of this EP. While listening to all these tracks you feel like touching some alien surfaces with utmost sensitiveness with surreal landscapes stretching out in your imagination. This is carefully crafted introvert music, yet having some elegant dancefloor appeal.

Starstream - Simple as that E.P is the third release from Diskodans recordings. A powerful slice of techno from the northern spheres of Scandinavia. Remixes by Detroit based Mikael Klasson and Michael Mereborg and another remix by the young and talented Nocturne. It also features the long awaited 1997 mix by Starstream.

William Gibson's prophetic sci-fi novel Neuromancer inspires Mumdance, Logos and Shapednoise to sensational new heights on their 2nd EP in The Sprawl trilogy for The Death of Rave. The trio's EP2 is all about 'Data Flow', or the relay of information between software, hardware and its human agents, triangulating The Sprawl as biologic semiconductors in a quantum network of emerging AI consciousness, parsing their corrupted memory flashbacks of physical ecstasy, excess and synaptic muscle memory into premonitory visions of future hardcore rave.
Arriving at the project's midway point, equidistant to futures past and the singularity, the trio's 2nd cybernetic merger generates pivotal plot twists and an expanded palette of styles in flux between virulent mutations of noise torque, hardcore techno and sci-fi cinematic memes.
Across its four tracks, each producer's recognisable characteristics are strategically subsumed, consolidated to an inseparable, if fractious, energy that describes and manifests the themes and energies of William Gibson's prescient cyberpunk fiction in hyperstitious form.
The A-side picks up directly from EP1 with the synaesthetically-enhanced sensations of Burning Chrome, titled in reference to one of Gibson's first short stories set in the fictional dimension of The Sprawl - the first to coin the word 'cyberspace' - with a turbulent roil of bruxist shockwaves unpredictably punctuated by lush pads, before the cyberpunk terror of Black I.C.E. hacks into the nervous system with visceral, arrhythmic dynamic.
On the B-side, the story really shifts up a gear or five with X System, a breathlessly brutal 150bpm techno assault that sounds like late '90s Dutch rave or NYC bunker techno dialled in via faulty ISDN connection, which makes for a steep contrast with the shocking emotive pathos of the EP closer Online Seance, where the trio fulminate a transcendent vision of cinematic synth noise redolent of Leyland Kirby's Intrigue & Stuff series, but with a vicious digital edge and serontonin-frying euphoria of their own imagineering.
This is the sound of The Sprawl really coming into their own as a thrilling, innovative, and boundary-probing prospect within the noise techno nexus.

Anagram Label follow up their 'Phasing Faces' releases with remixes from Efdemin, Lapien, Ryan James Ford and Terrence Dixon under his Population One moniker this December. Released earlier this year, 'Phasing Faces' was a two-part series featuring Anetha, Elad Magdasi, Mathame and Maukook, not to mention label founders Sinfol and Octual. Anagram have now tapped up four reputable names for a heavyweight remix package; Dial regular Efdemin, fast rising MDR and Answer Code Request act Ryan James Ford, Dutch producer Lapien aka one half of Delsin's Artefakt, as well as renowned Detroit artist Terrence Dixon appearing as Population One. Ostgut Ton's Efdemin opens the package with his immersive remix of Sinfol 'Trembling', incorporating pulsating drones, echoing effects and ethereal synths. Anetha's 'Acid Train' then gets reimagined by SHUT founder Ryan James Ford - the Canadian combines thudding kicks with mesmerising atmospherics as metallic percussion skips throughout. Adding further depth to the release, Rekids and Mistress Recordings artist Lapien remixes Elad Magdasi 'Two Floors' to generate a smooth aesthetic complete with serene nuances and soulful vocal coos before Rush Hour and Metroplex's Population One ties everything together with a deep house reinterpretation of Octual 'Dark Sky'.

Blindsmyth ist ein musikalischer Weltenbummler. In verschiedenen Bands erkundete er Klangspektren von Metal und Postrock bis zu Electronica. Während seines Musik-Studiums tauchte er dann noch tiefer in die unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Genres und Produktionstechniken ein, kombinierte verschiedenste Instrumente mit elektronischen Produktions- und Performance-Techniken und fand so, auch durch viele live-shows, zu seinem eigenen Sound.
Das Debütalbum von Blindsmyth ist eine Entdeckungsreise zwischen tiefen elektronischen Klanglandschaften und experimenteller Popmusik. Alle Tracks wurden mit analogen Instrumenten, organischen Drum Sounds und eigenen field recordings produziert. Es ist impulsiv, groovig, experimentell und verträumt. Die Stimmung changiert zwischen House, Folk und langsamen Techno - kombiniert mit Atmosphären aus Ambient, Dub und Post Rock.
Der Album Opener - Wacklige Brücken bringt den Tanz zwischen Freiheit und Sicherheit zum Ausdruck. Dynamische Beats, eine energetische Bassline und eine schwebende Bassklarinetten-Melodie runden den hypnotischen Refrain aus einem Chor gepitchter Stimmen ab. In - Stuck singt Blindsmyth über die Höhen und Tiefen des Lebens auf einem Bett von weichen Gitarrenakkorden, die von abstrakten hölzernen Perkussions getragen werden. Melancholisch und zugleich hoffnungsvoll.

Eomac expands the roster of his recently inaugurated Eotrax imprint with the introduction of two forerunners in Berlin's techno scene: Kaltès and Nene H. Both have built respected reputations as exciting artists to watch, as Kaltès organizes Tresor Berlin's female:pressure-affiliated party series and Nene H. turned heads with her Fountain Of Fire performance at Berlin Atonal Festival. Their collaborative record, the Protest EP, presents a call to arms and an empowered take on gnarly techno with a stormy industrial underbelly.

For Kaltès and Nene H., the music channels a current zeitgeist. A wail—a rallying cry—appears on each track and provides the record's central motif. In that sense the theme acts as a statement to which each featured artist contributed, including the two remixers: Orphx's Christina Sealey and the Irish Eotrax alum LAIR. It's a howl of anguish, but not from heartache or misery; it's a defiant, determined and empowered battle cry. On "Persist", staunch kicks summon the vocal from a swamp of metallic textures, while on "Resist" it's placed at the center of a thundering black hole, drawing the listener in deeper. In the hands of Christina Sealey, it becomes a smoldering element in a rolling EBM cruiser, whereas LAIR spreads it over a backdrop of shifting ambient textures and dark celestial grumbles.

This is the remix edition of Dino Sabatini's recent second album "Omonimo" (April 2016, Outis Music).Like the recent album, this EP "Concentrica" features renowned Italian veteran pianist/accordionist Antonello Salis on the tracks "If" and "It All Ends Here", albeit here in different versions. Out of these two tracks the former is on "Concentrica" reworked by Dino Sabatini and the latter in a collaborative live variation between Salis and Dino Sabatini. Simultaneously with the announcement of "Concentrica" was it announced that Dino and Antonello are launching their new live project: Dino Sabatini & Antonello Salis present 'Electronic Opera Concentrica'. Howie B is veteran producer mainly known as a purveyor of early trip hop, having produced cuts from Tricky's debut album, Björk's "Post" and "Homogenic" as well as other major like U2.
After inaugurating the 'Opera' sub-series of his Outis Music label with the sublime 'Omonimo' double LP this April, Dino Sabatini has invited some choice allies to help define the vocabulary and expand the vision of the new imprint. The aforementioned album, which wove together Sabatini's atmospheric conjuring skill with the piano flourishes of Antonello Salis, already exhibits the label's commitment to dismantling the 'either-or' logic of contemporary genres by successfully merging a variety of supposedly irreconcilable styles, talents, and worldviews (e.g. both mythological and the technological perspectives). The follow-up EP, 'Concentrica', draws on the material from 'Omonimo' and delivers it into the hands of additional remixers in order to continue the Outis Opera voyage.

Originally released as a highly sought after limited white label, Leftroom now releases the immutable 'Cultural Variance' EP from DJ Bone, comprising two original choice cuts from the Detroit producer.

Eric Dulan aka DJ Bone's production career dates back to the end of the 90s when he unveiled a consistent string of 12'' releases via his own Subject Detroit imprint as well as working with Juan Atkins' Metroplex. Recent times have seen DJ Bone collaborate with Deetron, join the Hessle Audio crew at fabric London and make regular appearances at the infamous Freerotation festival, here we see Dulan push on joining the Leftroom Records roster with a fresh two-track EP.

Kicking things off is title track 'Cultural Variance', a ten-minute progressively blooming composition led by direct 4/4 rhythms and meandering arepggio's infused with a high energy, up-tempo feel creating a typically classy piece of work from DJ Bone. On the flip we have 'Faze' and this time Dulan takes on an understated dubbed-out approach laid out over its near eight-minute duration with a smooth, gradually unfolding feel.

Decay Records kicks off 2016 with Frank Strom & Simon T's 'Extension' EP, accompanied by remixes from Hector and Yousef.

Pisa, Italy born artist Frank Storm has been releasing material for the past five years via the likes of Frequenza, Baile Musik, Sleep Is Commercial and Serkal, and just recently became a part of Carl
Craig's new concept events 'Detroit Love'. Here we see Frank join forces with Milan's Simon T for a collaborative EP on Decay Records, a growing London based imprint which is home to artists such as Franck Roger, Neverdogs, Alex Arnout and Geddes.
Kicking things off is the original mix of title track 'Extension' from the duo, a robust percussive led workout laid out over seven a half minutes with rumbling low end and swirling atmospherics running alongside pulsating synth flourishes and hypnotic vocal murmurs. Following is 'Winch' which takes on a more stripped back feel with spare distorted drum sounds, snaking synth grooves and eerie low-pitched vocal licks.

Desolat's Hector steps up to rework 'Extension' next and dismantles the original composition into a low-slung, stripped back affair via shuffling organic percussion, a subtly blooming underlying tension and dubbed out swells of the original synth lines. Circus main man Yousef then adds a more melodic edge to things with his take on 'Extension', fusing bubbling arpeggios and soaring pad lines with reshape snippets from the original track.

Filling The Night With Scars, the new release by our mainstay Glós marks the second installment on the Ravage White Series label. At the core of this release, Glós seems to build bridges between his ambient side on one hand and his thumping club music side on the other hand. Especially the A-side covers the clubbier rhythmic vibe whilst the B-side conveys the more emotional vibe. Like in the title track, he builds slowly and smoothly but he stays very precise in which acidic sounds come and fade. With this release, he finds a balance between the nostalgic anthem-like euphoria and a more darker and deeper narrative.

Following a stellar contribution to Radio Slave's Clone Wars remix package, Markus Suckut makes his full Rekids debut with the Heat On Feet EP. The three tracks on offer capture Suckut's ability to marry intensity with groove, with the toughness of his iron-forged techno breakbeats and ambient textures.



The A cut, Untitled #1, is perhaps the EP's most instantly ear-catching, framing itself around a swinging hardcore break with a bubbling acid bassline coming to the fore over the course of the track's seven-minute running time. #2 opens the B-side with a fast, stripped-down, atmospheric techno tool, while #3 closes the EP with a pounding 4x4 melting away to reveal a romantic star-gazing breaks & pads combo.



The EP marks the start of a new phase in Suckut's already illustrious career, which has seen the German release on many of techno's most respected labels. More Rekids releases are in the works, plus 2016 will see the resurrection of his own SCKT imprint, with the two labels together becoming the producer's main outlets.

A special release for a special artist - this is Microtrauma´s newest drop. After gaining lots of attention for their recent output on Traum Schallplatten and Nick Warren´s Sudbeat label the duo goes back to their roots and presents the Juno EP. Techno with emotion - maybe the best description for the Originals. Remix works are coming from SQL (Trapez, Respekt, SK Supreme), Groj and Oliver Lieb (Bedrock, Yoshitoshi) who remixed Microtrauma´s first big tune "Aktin" which was released on Microtonal 005.

One of the most intense tunes by Sven Sossong's Album - Atropa is lifted for this remix-EP - - World . The original is warm and spheric Breaks-Techno piece of art, but now we are coming up with 4 strong remixes.

Frankfurt-based Frank Savio adds a solid groove and restages the main theme into a powerful peaktime remix. The Welderz from Paris give the next contribution. They released on labels like Flash Rec., Analytic Trail Rec. and Sleaze, and here they are in the game with a dark and driven interpretation.

Two further remixes are done by the close environment of Sossong: Kenny B and Daniel Cuminale. Both catching up the epic mood and define the track newly by bringing in the personal notes. It rocks!

Wolf Müller & Versatile label head Gilb'R give the remix treatment to Zombie Zombie's 'Hippocampe' - the first track from their recent 'Livity' LP. A long time fan of the band, Jan Schulte (under his Wolf Müller alias), delivers 2 interpretations of the track, combining heavy Krautrock influences à la Can with a distinctive b-boy twist. Gilb'R takes 'Hippocampe' in a more minimalistic direction, with heavy drums laying the basis for a dubbed out journey.

It's been almost three years since Ressort Imprint label head Ekserd released his first and last solo EP to date.
Now - in late 2017 - the young, drum-loving artist finally comes back with a new set of tracks and even a whole new label.
DRIVE 99 will have its full focus on the tempo, the drive and the looks of the late 90s and early 00s, just the way Ekserd loves to play things on the clubs soundsystems.

This time, I had some glass left at the workshop. We wanted to try. We broke it on the press then printed it with all the texture, scratch, accidents caused by the pressure of the press..."

Format lays down an impressive array of minimal-tinged and powerful dance floor techno laced with depth and atmosphere. There's quite a lot to enjoy here to say the least; a very special appearance is made by legendary NY-producer Mike Parker, whose off-beat 'Necklace Dancer' perfectly reflects Format's penchant for abstract techno. It nestles well among chunky four-to-the-floor material from various trusted label associates: ROD delivers a raw house-flavored banger on 'Acine', while TWR72's 'EXP19' explores techno's darker territories. Label curator, Juan Sanchez, also steps up to the game with 'Warthog', a highoctane piece of fiery techno that captures the man's highly anticipated sound. So far, so Giraffe: for a while the Hamburg based project Giraffe loved short musical expressions.

On their debut album Juni' for the Belgium label Meakusma, most tunes stopped living after three minutes. For their latest recordings for the Berlin based - and hard to pigeonhole - label Marmo, they took the epic road and produced two adventurous arrangements that drift along a stretched musical path, that makes their outcome even more magnetic, more bewitching.

With Climate, a new member becomes part of their ongoing mission to find new sounds beyond cliche´-ridden textures. Ju¨rgen Hall, who joined Charly Scho¨ppner and Sascha Demand some time ago for their aim to create sounds that do not want to belong to any kind of genre, enlarges everything with new textures and melodic twists, that makes the sound of Giraffe more "outernational" and enables the group to shape deeper sounds through a free-wheeling improvisation.

As all three musicians can look back on a long tradition in writing and playing avant-garde music and beyond, they unconsciously know how to avoid stereotypes. Their music is unwritten/written. Some parts are ideas that Sascha could have created on his e-guitar, Charly could have punched on his drums and percussion instruments, or Ju¨rgen could have tuned in on his keyboards and electronic devices. But as for Giraffe ideas are just the starting point of a journey, they start to improvise around them, without making real improvised music. To say it in their own words: Giraffe improvises and composes ideas and principles. All live and direct in the legendary Le Garage' studios in Hamburg. All made without any archetypes. Without any reference and foremost without any exchange value. It`s strictly utility value music.

Words cannot express its meaning. Notes cannot spell out its score. For Marmo the trio did not only tune in two epic dateless trips, they also were remixed by Berlin-based Italian producer Marco Shuttle, who transformed their music into a percussive club track that stays calm without forgetting to explode gently. A gripping, detailed gathering of tones that distribute some otherworldly wonderment with passages of polyphony and polymetric juxtaposition over an un-fixed rhythmic cycle. If you join the music, their frequency modulations and rhythmic pulsations will change your very own torso climate for good.

Pascäal delivers four live hardware cuts ranging from warm pensive techno in "Orbs (Glass Mix)" to the cavernous and dubbed out "7".

With its tenth DMT release, Philippe Petit drops Energovill, a big room techno bomb driven by a repetitive synth pad and a dreamy distorted saxophone line that will leave nobody indifferent. Philippe then strips down the track even more to deliver a dub oriented, beat-heavy version of the track. On the other side, UBX127, from the Figure stable, is on remix duties: he takes the key elements from Philippe's versions and turns the title track into an unforgiving minimal techno attack. Philippe closes the EP and reworks Energovill once again, this time into a melodic, atmospheric and dreamy beatless version.

Tserg, the 25-year-old producer from the smallest country of South-East Asia, Singapore, has been creating music for quite a while now. As he calls it himself: Music is like my secret 2nd life, because I don't tell many people about it. It is my escape from school and work. Written over a period of 4 months, Forgotten Times is about the dreams we once had and forgot, the present moments that we forget to cherish and the ideals we used to believe and fight for but no longer do so. The intro is a hopeful track for the time when we started to dream. By the time we reach the outro, these memories have become fragmented and we struggle to even remember them. Thankfully, time travel has always been possible in our minds when we think about the past or future. This Transmat like production by Tserg brings us from the future to the past in Forgotten Times but the listener is free to travel in whichever direction they want. Limited to 150 copies pressed at our own Deepgrooves vinyl pressing plant.

Bastinov returns on his beloved Etruria Beat after the big success of 'Solar System' with a brand new four track EP, 'Wormhole'. Kicking off with the title track, characterized by a powerful 909 groove and strong synth, we're plunged deep within it's magical atmosphere. 'Materia' follows with it's wonderful ambient pad and energetic kick, before we're taken on a melodic tangent by the synth driven 'Paradox.' * Throughout the 90's, DJ Bone was one of Detroit's best kept secrets. Releasing only a handful of 12 inches, Bone's eclectic and fast mixing style became popular in his home town, starting with his weekly residency at The Love Club, and gaining more all over Detroit 5 nights a week, as well as fortnightly live sets on Deep Space Radio.* In 1996, Laurent Garnier witnessed him DJing, and invited him to play in Paris' legendary Rex Club - a 12" for Juan Atkins' Metroplex soon followed, with a Peel Session, and his 'Subject:Detroit Volume 2' mix CD being distributed worldwide helping to establish him globally as a force in Detroit techno.* Anotherday are very proud to announce the reissue of that legendary Metroplex 12"; 'Riding The Thin Line'. From the sweeping strings and tribal loops of 'Shut The Lites Off', to the hissing bassy electro of 'The Funk' and woozy techno of 'The Haunting', this is DJ Bone at the peak of his powers.

* Loicc, real name Julian Boggs, is a young upcoming producer and musician from Sydney, Australia. Born and raised in Armidale, Loïcc was quick to engulf himself within the Sydney band scene having already become a sought after
percussionist and recording engineer. Loicc's seamless entrance into the club scene has been impressive and is already beginning to turn heads. His debut effort as an electronic producer with CT006 has seen him apply both the intricate and confronting drum work he is known for to conjure four unique techno jams.

* Loicc's debut EP for Cult Trip is lead by grimy tech gem 'Sullen Room' which drudges along steadily, revealing subtle acid undertones afterwards being met with DJ tool 'Infinite Cruise'. Stevn.aint.leavn comes correct on the flip side with his far-out, low-slung effort Peacherine. The track begins with a skippy shuffled beat containing a crunchy snare, slick rimshot and a open hat that sets pace from the get go. The gliding sub bass groove provides genuine warmth before a techy breakdown echos sentiments of an interstellar message which guides you back into a UK garage swing paying homage to the the label's London roots.

"When Octo Octa sent us the demos for her first full-length record since 2013, we were floored by how many tracks were single worthy. But, there was one that stood out as something entirely on its own, a song that in many ways sounded like nothing Maya had ever released. Since the beginning, we always knew we wanted to do something special with "Adrift," the 8+ minute space-age synth-dub techno tune. When we asked Maya about doing a 12" with remixes we were blindsided to learn she has NEVER had any of her music remixed before. * Manchester's Walton returns to Tectonic following last year's explorations in grime flavoured house/techno offshoots on the killer 'Bulldoze EP'. Featuring a looping Riko Dan sample, 'Gunman' sets a stone cold tone from the offset, hi-hats setting up the groove before a grime flavoured melody cuts in preparing you for the drop. When the bass and drums come crashing in they bounce off each other to produce a disorientating tribal rhythm that will set the dance floor alight!

* Flip for a slower, more gentle mood with 'Caught In A Trip'. Rolling at 126bpm, 'Caught In A Trip' builds around a developing melody played on a glockenspiel-esque instrument, backed with tribal percussion and a driving kick pattern. Ethereal in mood throughout, this one provides a lighter moment for the dance floor.

The first release on our was / is sublabel, Glyph03 was intially set for release in 2002 on Charles Noel's (aka Archetype) 21/22 Corporation. This was slated to be the 4th in his Glyph series, a raw and freaked out exercise in pumping, tweaked-out midwest techno. Each of these records featured 4 tracks cut at 45rpm to create a true play-at-your-own-speed adventure. Since their release, the original Glyph 12""s have become timeless tools in the bags of the most respected techno jocks. We are happy to say that after a 15 years hiatus the drought is over. Bandhagens Musikforening is the new project from Michel Isorinne and Martin Sander. Their debut record for Northern Electronics tangles mournful, surreal profiles with euphoric, sunset electro. Particular tracks map either end of the spectrum that is to be found, but it's the viscous mesh of emotive motion that is the most striking and perhaps singular feature of their first record.

Footwork label head Jay Lumen is back with his new 'Inside EP' presenting two great dance floor weapons.
"Inside" is rolling on a oh so pumping bass line smothered with acid sprays and a melodic break.
This track is a great choice to play prime time to push the temperature to the highest level. Next track is "Outside'. With its fat kick, bass line and snares it's a real 303 oriented dance floor killing Techno banger!

Mattheis returns to Nous'klaer with 4 tracks for his first solo ep in years. Trippy rhythms, acidic basslines and full of other worldly melodies in his trademark style

"Georgy Oilovich left the dinner, disturbed and agitated. Old Believer contained a note of reproach at his heart inactivity. Having spent himself somewhat and got rather irritable, he turned from some foreign odopters to home - bred nihilists and socialists, and ended by flying into a passion. He seized a large rolleo, and beatling it in half over his krambambully plate, in the manner of the stylish bryanskian cafe ""Transe-Croques"", announced that he would tear limb from limb, reduce to ashes, all those who objected to anybody or to anything! These were his very words. ""It is Hugh time! Hugh time, !""
Meanwhile, the Serbian prince, the beloved K.F.Ingram was assassinated by some rexers in Belgrade."

This record contains 5 years worth of electronic experimentations, the bulk of which were recorded while living in the EU, and mixed down at a studio in Amsterdam. The music was sequenced on a MPC and an inexpensive digital keyboard with reverb and delay.

Since the age of 12 i've been cultivating a deep love of music. Music allows me to communicate in ways that seem otherwise impossible and has connected me with many special people who share that same sentiment.

My intent was to make an album that could be pleasant regardless of the time of day. Something diverse, that could be enjoyed regardless of format. I hope deep listeners are rewarded just as equally as casual ones.

It was a joy layering these frequencies for you.

Interchain are Eugene Gorbunov and Andrew Lee, an electronic duo from Moscow that finds equal inspiration in techno culture, punk music and Russian industrial landscapes. 'Plenum' is an album composed of a series of sketches based on Eugene's and Andrew's childhood memories about Perestroika in the USSR. As they put it, "whether it's a backwards look through the decades of an adult, or the flashbacks of childhood memory to the exact historical period, imbued by the distinctive colors, TV noises, unconscious sounds and images of the time - both perspectives interpret the past/present as a work of art, created by the entirety of society, government and technological progress". These visions are projected into 10 vibrant compositions inspired in a series of elements -from underground clubs to Lenin's Mausoleum and from USSR punk to drugs- that marked the period of political and social reformations that shook the Soviet Union in the 1980s. Despite being grounded in industrial sonics and its sparse backbone, the music in 'Plenum' has an oddly delicate and ghostly quality to it. Tracks that, in Interchain's own words, "wash away pressing issues of the day, revealing a transcendent picture, image and aesthetics - ethereal feelings far more real to the observer than actual bygone dates, events, people". The result is fascinating to say the least.

Rat Life is back with more unheard material from the hidden bedroom studios of East Germany. One Day In Metropia - is a project that was active around the year 2008 - operating out of the concrete suburbs of Dresden. Its main focus were live appearances in the citie's underground electronic music circle. Just a few signals of its enormous creative output were published on various sound carriers to this day. So it was time to release some more of this large bulk of data that has been lurking on storage devices for years. Rat Life's operator Credit 00 is proud to be allowed to contribute a remix version to this sonic document. Have a nice day in Metropia!

DRIVE001 sees us step back to 1998 and into the hands of the duo of Damon Wild and Mederic Nebinger, recording together as Blue Maxx they quietly unleashed some of the finest futuristic widescreen Techno and Electro to emanate from NYC in the late 1990's. Utilising a small sub-label of Wild's seminal Techno imprint Synewave called Deja Vous the pair embarked on a slew of EP's released over the space of a couple of years with 'Private Life' being one of the last.
Across 3 tracks 'Private Life' opens up a new sound world, from the driving, tool-like qualities of the A-Side cut - all swinging drum programming, synth stabs and deranged metallic percussions to the deeper, more clandestine leanings of the B-Side tracks, mining a more musical and Electro infused vein, the whole EP stands out as something truly original. A hallmark of the Blue Maxx sound.
This is the first time 'Private Life' has been reissued, almost 20 years has passed and somehow Wild and Nebinger's style remains utterly fresh and contemporary. A truly rare and essential piece of hi-tech Techno expression that could easily have been released this week. Such is the quality on display within these grooves.

"Dream Machine" is an unreleased track or even more a - pop' song people have been talking about for some months now not knowing what it is called and where to get it.
Dominik Eulberg has been playing it in his sets and it has created a big stir on Soundcloud and in the fan community so we are releasing the track now on a limited one side colored vinyl.
"Dream Machine" was written together with talented German musician Essáy who has a career for himself and together they have written this club hymn!

The release manifests in a clear transparent vinyl, with minimal information on the etiquette and is sold in a plastic bag including separate artwork by Miro D'Oro. This features a hand drawn vision of how a Dream Machine could look like for Dominik and Essáy.

Music wise the "Dream Machine's" captivating quality is it's compelling friendliness. The track is good Karma full stop and we see the track also as an extension of what Dominik has been writing in the last years developing his own style left-field of the techno universe.
That the track turned out so smooth incorporating a flute and floating beat which is very untypical for Dominik is certainly due to Essáy personality to create a wonderful smooth feeling with his music.

In early 2017, Public Release dropped a four-tracker by Brooklyn's Earth Boys, a duo comprisedof Julian Duron and Michael Sherburn, and now it's being followed by a collection of remixes by some formidable names from around the world.
Where the EP of originals fell squarely in the category of vibey, shuffling, laid-back house
grooves, Trail Remix is decidedly made for the after-midnight parts of club sets. The 12-inch begins with a T&P - that's Beats in Space's Tim Sweeney and Phillip Lauer's version of 'Trail Mix'. Acid-flecked and hard-edged, and tongue-in-cheek at heart yet seriously functional, it's the original red-lined and shot down the highway at ninety miles an hour. (Worth noting that this is
the transatlantic unit's first remix to be released.) After that is Earth Boys' own redo of 'Highway
1' a juiced-up re-imagining of the first version, filled out with chunkier kicks and fatter synth washes that completely envelope any sense of direction. The flip leans towards the ethereal, stretchy, abstract, though it, too, is tracky and driven. The B1 slot goes to Canadian wunderkind Khotin, of 1080p and Normals Welcome, who blows some stardust into the tune, enveloping it in a blanket of sharp drums and icy pads. NYC mainstay Mike Simonetti, formerly of Trouble Man and Italians Do It Better, currently of 2MR, caps the record with his beefy overhaul of 'Trail Mix' a compression of industrial percussion, tribal rhythms and sub-bass undulations.

"Primus Motor" sees Ekman return to many of the sounds that gained him a reputation as an artist on labels like Bunker and Berceuse Heroique. Although harsh bucking acid lines, pockmarked notes, brutal beats and eerie echo are all present, a new tone has been added to the caustic palette. A psychological nuance, an undercurrent of the inchoate has been investigated and exploited to chilling effect. Crippling psychoses. Debilitating neuroses. Physical pain. Suffering stalks this first full vinyl album. Sinister sounds encircle the eight offerings, hovering like vultures over inhospitable plains of ashen grey, jagged peaks and dark sweeping swamps. Hope is all but drawn away in this bleached audio landscape, drained by sheer synthlines and reduced renderings. Amidst the sorrow and strain there are pin pricks of joy, albeit bleak and pallid ones. An album that unnerves as it engages, a collection of icy radiance and industrial indifference from a dutch master.

A first artist release after a big compilation comes from well known Argentinian, Berlin based artist Federico Molinari and his inner world of micro house and dance music.

Perc Trax is proud to unveil the 2nd 12' to be taken from Forward Strategy Group's debut album 'Labour Division'. Since its release at the end of May the album has received across the board DJ support and press coverage with a 4/5 review from Resident Advisor and even a full page in the Guardian about FSG and Perc Trax. The album has also had launch parties in Amsterdam and London and has seen the FSG guy's crossover outside of techno to be featured in the wider music press including The Quietus and Stool Pigeon.

This 2nd 12' rounds up some of the most popular tracks from the album giving them the vinyl release they truly deserve. First up is the most popular club track from the album; 'Elegant Mistakes' where raw industrial sounds meet with broken beats that hint back at classic UK hardcore. Completing the a-side is album opener 'Ident', one of the LP's most melodic moments and proof, if it was ever needed of Patrick and Al's wide ranging influences and production skills.

The b-side opens with 'Nihil Novi', an album favourite that appeared on the first Labour Division 12' as remixed by Factory Floor. Now the original mix appears on vinyl and it's echoing, slow-morphing stabs sound as cutting as ever. A DJ favourite since it was initially promo'd, it now sounds even better on vinyl. Closing the EP is a re-edit (sarcastically called a 'radio mix') of 'Metal Image', where a world of atmospherics opens up on top of a slow droning kick drum. A perfect set-opener or mid-set Dj tool it is demonstrates the variety that is on show across 'Labour Division' and is one of many reasons for the albums excellent reception.

A regular contributor to Figure SPC, it was Jeroen Search who both started the series and also put an end to its story. With this creative chapter neatly closed, he is now bringing his ever-impressive work back to the main label. Across the EP the Dutch artist doesn't stick to one style, instead he lets his infamous machines roam about freely. They take us for a smooth ride along swaying dub chords and gentle ripples until bellowing eches slowly rise above a hypnotic groove.On the B-side Search then pulls out all the stops and barges right in with fidgety claps and whirling bleeps, leaving the track itself gasping for air. This is the renowned ferocity of his live act - carved into wax! Ensuing the sonic assault, a simple synth figure emerges stoically over an almost housy bounce as nostalgic rave strings bring the EP to an epic ending. Firmly rooted in the past while always looking forward, Jeroen Search clearly is still on the top of his game. He simply keeps coming up with timeless techno - time and time again.

Closing off the trilogy of 10 Years Of Perc Trax vinyl EPs is the label's first ever 10' release. Drawing together two of the deeper and more experimental tracks from 'Slowly Exploding', the EP pairs label founder Perc with one of his longest influences; Zhark Recordings main man Kareem. First up Kareem brings a touch of deeper Berlin-tinged techno to Perc Trax, built upon a rock solid kick and drenched in moody urban atmospherics, then Perc closes the this vinyl series with a spiralling analogue noise exercise that builds and builds until live drums tear through the wall of bass tones...

Perc (aka London based Ali Wells) returns with 'Bitter Music', his third album following 'Wicker & Steel' (2011) and 'The Power And The Glory' (2014). As before the album will see a release on his own Perc Trax imprint, giving Perc the complete creative control needed to realise his vision of what should be a milestone release for both himself and Perc Trax.

Originally a very inward looking album when work started on it in March 2016 the extensive political change happening in both the UK and around the world forced the album to widen its perspective. By the time the album was finished in December, it was clear that the sentiment of tracks such as 'Look What Your Love Has Done To Me' was as equally applicable to the micro-politics of person relationships as it was to concerns for the future of a country in a state of flux.

Pre-production for the album begun at Eve Studios, a residential studio just outside of Manchester, UK which specialises in collecting and restoring equipment salvaged from the sadly defunct BBC Radiophonic Workshop. The palette of sounds created during these sessions lends the album the sound of early electro-acoustic experimentation, especially evident on tracks such as 'Wax Apple'. Live instrumentation also plays a larger role on this album than on any previous Perc releases with Wells playing piano on many tracks and Ian East's flute playing featuring on 'Chatter'. The album also features a number of vocal collaborations including one with Gazelle Twin. Post-production, mixing and arranging was done at Perc's North London studio before the album was mastered by Perc Trax's regular mastering engineer Matt Colton.

Sonically the album takes in everything from strung out vocal treatments to the type of warehouse rabble rousers Perc has made his own since his very first releases. More dance floor focussed than his previous albums yet pulling from a wider range of sounds 'Bitter Music' shows a development and maturing of Wells' music that could not have been foreseen just a few years ago.

Delicately balancing the personal and the political, 'Bitter Music' stands apart from most recent techno albums as it continually pushes outwards rather than concerning itself with the microscopic refinement of already established sounds. It is an album unafraid to take chances from an artist continually looking for his next step forwards.

Perc Trax welcomes back Scalameriya for his second Perc Trax release. Last time around he teamed up with VSK for 'Haka', now he flies solo serving up three percussive grinders, each showing off different facets of his detailed and powerful sound.

Opener and title track 'Kepslok' is built upon jagged electro riffs and the kind of stop / start rhythms that instantly differentiate it from techno's current glut of linear drum tools. 'Annex No.3' utilizes the metallic percussion that Perc Trax is infamous for to devastating effect and closer 'Geargrind' tiptoes between 4/4 and broken rhythms, overlaying them with the glitching sounds of early computing and an irresistibly energetic bassline.

Direct from the heads and hearts manning La Cheetah club, the well-established Glaswegian cellar-dwellers kick the doors open to 'Outer Zone' with an EP from Copenhagen adoptee and Apeiron Crew stalwart, Solid Blake. Perfectly suited to the sonic sensibilities of Scotland's 'cultural capital' (and far, far beyond), the 4 track grey-matter-rattler delves through a darker, leftfield electro vim, with serious remix duties from dancefloor deity Dj Stingray.

Ahrpe Records co-founder Amandra navigates a unique space between droning ambience and polyrhythmic funk on 'Dame De Bahia', his first release to emerge on Italian imprint Obscura. This is the French, Warsaw-based producer's second album and follows a string of acclaimed EPs on Ahrpe, Semantica, Tikita and Silent Season. Complex patterns are woven through sustained tone clusters to foster an unlimited sense of energy and focus. Radiant synths glisten over live percussive loops whilst infinite pads wander the boundaries of light and dark. Amandra uses minimalist techniques to build tranquil sonic spaces that evolve on their own accord, making way for carefully mapped out rhythmic cycles. The result is an immersive listening experience replete with subtle details, but never cluttered. "Moody and lightful, this album combines many aspects I cherish in electronic music. Franz Ferdinand's second-LP single 'Do You Want To' receives an almost comically overblown, seemingly endless intro from Alkan, before dissolving into cosmic electro ecstasy. Hailing from Germany, Kevin has been producing and performing from a young age, with a keen focus in the tech-house and techno genres. Over the recent years, he has taken the industry by storm and is now a household name with releases on Truesoul, Mobilee, and many more. It gives us great pleasure to share with you his freshest sounds within this four track EP. Kicking off with his signature dark and heavy sound is Boney. With deep kicks and a diabolic sub-bass as a foundation, this track gears itself to be a minimal tech weapon.
Layers of smooth synth stabs and snappy vocals, and breaks filled with sustained synths create an air of mystery throughout, making this track a wonderful after-hours groover. Up next is Call it a Tool, an uptempo techno number formed over Kevin's keynote underground feel. Pulsating with attitude throughout, this track is perfectly placed to build up energy in any application.
A deeper yet percussive rendition of the original by Tripmastaz and Basement Kid offers another hard-hitting techno weapon.

KUF create emotion-laden dialogues across layers of time and dimensions of sound. Voices recorded in private are chopped up and brought out center-stage to sing with beats hammered out right here and now. Glowing synths push forward. Basslines rise to grab the melodic role of a track while a vowel is truncated and locked into a grid, driving the rhythm. Voices move within the frame of a sample, performed by hands pushing keys, guided by the ear, immersed in a trio session's deep flow... A vortex of quirky hands, responsive ears and glowing circuits. Since Thomas A. Edison first recorded the human voice in 1877, the recording arts have changed music forever. Musicians have explored the endless possibilities of bouncing their input onto layers of tape, off the walls of an echo chamber or the circuitry of electronic helpers - technology that modulates, spatializes, shifts, divides or multiplies the work of human hands and mouths. An era of sampling offered a cubistic analysis of the recorded past and DJs took dancers onto intricately fractured time travels. This is the historic foundation that KUF keep probing. Just like the sampler and the DJ before them, they found new ways to re-allocate where machine and man stand when making music together. Most importantly, they turn the resulting friction into sparkling bursts of energy. 'Universe' digs deeper into the android vocal chords. Clocking in at 11 minutes, this is a radical deconstruction of the track 'Bint El Khandaq' that appears on the Mashrou' Leila album 'Ibn El Leil'. Lost Souls Of Saturn tease out the underlying emotion and yearning present in the original and take the listener on a beguiling, symphonic ambient journey that calls to mind Wolfgang Voigt's much loved Gas project, or the shimmering imaginary landscapes of Brian Eno. Renowned for their rousing, sensual electro-pop Mashrou' Leila's songs touch on political freedom, LGBT rights, race, religion and modern Arabic identity.
Lost Souls Of Saturn were approached by the band to reinterpret the original track and the stunning results fit perfectly as their debut release on R&S. This is the next step in the evolution of Seth Troxler and Phil Moffa's Lost Souls Of Saturn project. Look out for an album on R&S in 2018.

Norken aka Metamatic releases his first EP on Neo Ouija. Four highly sought after cuts that symbolise the Norken sound at the time: Deep House with the sleekness and machine melancholy of British Chill-Out and IDM that's complimented with crisp drums which give a nod to early Detroit Techno. Norken is best known or his releases on Delsin, Hydrogen Dukebox and Assemble Music among others and there are also some upcoming EPs on Third Ear Recordings and Delsin to look forward to.

R&S are proud to introduce Paula Temple to the fold. Her first release 'Speck Of The Future' was way back in 2002 and gained her the support of Jeff Mills, Claude Young, Dave Clarke and the late John Peel amongst others. After co-developing one of the first midi controllers for DJ/live performance and teaching kids in her neighbourhood how to DJ, Paula Temple finally returns to her first love - techno music. 'To me it has always been about never settling for a standard, it's really about freedom, sounds that shatter the edges and our attitude as well.'
As a self-confessed Noisician, her signature sound is an exploration of harmonics countering dissonance 'Where the two meet - that is where the most interesting tension lives for me. Those intersections give me the shivers, where I feel most alive.' Inspirations for all three tracks came from 'imagining what it would sound like to resist the control systems we encounter every day, to refuse standardisation and covert forms of colonization.'
These influences are entirely evident in the ungovernable construction of 'Colonized'. 'Cloned' is an altogether sleeker, yet no less intense affair - slivers of a female vocal cut through glitched tough drums and dark raging synths. 'Decolonization' completely turns techno structures on its head with a rhythmic climax, before gradually surrendering to the emotion of Paula's vocal ensemble.
Now, who better to supply a tension inducing remix than the UK's very own Ali Wells AKA Perc. A man whose name has long been at the forefront of the renaissance interest in bass-bin rattling, uncompromising music, alongside the likes of Silent Servant, Raime and Vatican Shadow. Here he supplies a relentless, savage 'Metal' interpretation of 'Colonized' with a break down that amps up the destruction even further that is sure to push many a dancefloor reveller over the edge. Also included is Perc's 'Bubble' mix that acts as a more breezy counterpoint to its twisted sister - sinister chords lollop around the driving drum break to hypnotic effect.

In his highly personalised style of Scandinavian techno dub pressure, Mannerfelt pursues a signature blend of raved-up smarts with cutting-edge sound design into ever more curious, densely packed but spacious gestures on The 3D Printed Songbook by getting ever closer to grips with his elemental electronic material.
Where so much techno can feel like the work of a bored neek pushing blocks on a screen or effectively doing a colouring-in book, Mannerfelt is a fine art sculptor who has picked techno and pure, abstract electronics as his medium, manifesting a sound which works just as well for those who appreciate the tactile sensuality of manipulated noise, as those who love dancing to irregular,
warped rhythms and sensational tones.
Here, Mannerfelt blurs those distinctions and contradictions beautifully well, getting into gear with a pendulous but stuttering, sleek and jagged deep house/dancehall curl to open, before circling thru recoiling slow techno, heavy-lidded yet visceral ambient tones, to stripes of viking acid jack and the kind of depth charge dub techno that keeps Mika Vainio's memory in earshot while unafraid to steer into new terrain.

Horatio and Javi Green met in Ibiza and decided to summon their production skills in order to produce something really groundbreaking.
