The second release for Glasgow label Full Dose features two dancehall laced productions from Ayrshire via Kingston by Lucchesi. The Burro EP is uncompromising in approach & heavyweight in sound, reminiscent of The Bug on Rephlex, circa 2003. Vinly only. Single sided 12' with insert.

A/B sides of Taciturn Manner LP
Taciturn Manner is Reggy van Oers's first full length on his own Telemorph imprint.
Pertained in a period of strained self reflection, several field recordings have become the core upon which the album has been created. A persistant continuous movement throughout the elements of the tracks causes a certain constrasting tension and gradually transforms into lush cinematic textures.
An intricate and mesmerizing journey, full of rich and surprising details, resulting in a rather emotional expression of his constraint style and coherent distinct sound.
In meteorology, 'Haar' is a coastal fog along certain lands bordering the North Sea.
The first release features Sonitus Eco's vision for the label, shrouded in mist.
Remixes by Dar Dra and Ness. Mastered by Neel @ EnissLab Mastering Studio.
Limited to 300 white/blue marbled 180g vinyl incl. A4 insert.
Following the release of Synkro AKA Joe McBride collection of his formative early works earlier this year, Apollo Recordings is proud to present a brand new EP that draws on the rich heritage of library music. Despite having come up during the dubstep era McBride's music has always resisted easy classification - 'Hand In Hand' sees him shift his musical focus in a yet more cinematic direction. McBride explains : "The record was inspired and influenced by my love of electronic 80's UK library records like the Chappell AV series, Bruton, Soundstage & De Wolfe Music library. There's a lot of synth work that carries on from my album using my trusted Juno-6 / SH101 / JX8P combo with the addition of drum samples via an old akai S2800 I purchased recently. Most sounds I've made from scratch on hardware based on sounds used in the library records I mentioned above along with a few cheeky samples." Synkro's signature expansive atmospherics are still very much present, but now they have been burnished by soaring synth pads and pulsing drum tracks that call to mind the haunted melancholy of John Carpenter or contemporary such as Legowelt or Andy Stott. Rhythmically 'Hand In Hand' sees McBride moving somewhat away from his usual off kilter programming inspired by 2-step and garage, embracing the steady pulse of 4:4 which turns out to be an effortless fit.

ISCOS ATO´NICOS proudly presents the label's second release: Age of Aggression by BS-1.
This new record was produced by Dutch veteran Roland van Oorschot aka BS-1 Growing up, he listened to bands like Slayer, Fear Factory and Anthrax, which formed his musical education and continues to impact his productions.
Producing and experimenting since the mid 1990s, van Oorschot has been a long time fixture in the electronic music world. He has created many projects over the years including Funxiun, Utroid and the previously mentioned BS-1.
You can find his unique tracks on various labels including Marguerita Recordings and Gooiland Elektro.
For Discos Ato´nicos he made the Age Of Aggression EP, featuring 5 massive electro cuts that are a straight shot to the dance floor.
On the A-SIDE the tracks Kill Switch, Genetic Waste and Age Of Aggression, combine intergalac- tically distorted beats with industrial elements.
We hear dark atmospheres, dystopian lyrics and metallic snares sharp like knives.
On the B-SIDE, Fear of a Dead Planet serves brutal electro while Eternal Oblivion surprisingly slows down the pitch and ends the amazing journey in form of a sweet electronic ballade.

Firmly believing against starting a label just for the sake of having a label, Cubera labelhead Kyle Geiger waited to have a specific vision and concept for it before doing so. After almost two years of creating, refining, and revisiting projects for Cubera, Kyle Gei- ger (Drumcode, Perc Trax, Droid, & MB Elektronics) has carefully crafted a series of productions that carry the melodic presence of the deeper techno sound, while still maintaining the teeth needed for peak hours of the night

Marking 20 years of Prurient and Hospital Productions' concurrent paths, the epic 3 hr 20 minutes of Rainbow Mirror inarguably ranks among Prurient's most compelling statements. While still the blood child of Dominick Fernow, the album's massive scope demanded more hands on board, with Jim Mroz (Lussuria) and Matt Folden (Dual Action) lending their expertise before post-production by Shifted and mastering by Paul Corley cemented this towering work of Doom Electronics for the ages.
Offered up as 'a portrait in perpetual tension', and housed in cover art created as the first collage in the pre-recording era of Prurient, Rainbow Mirror draws on the project's roots in order to locate itself in the modern day. What it finds in the process is that little has changed since Prurient and Hospital Productions' conception in '97 - the world is still a torrid, evil mess beyond control, and one that needs notions like Prurient to try and define its heaving mass more than ever.
Like Frozen Niagara Falls before it, echoes of the old world riddle the long, stark corridors of Rainbow Mirror, too. But here those echoes are more fragmented, distant and entropically obfuscated, emulating the effect of trying to find your own image in a hall of mirrors, or locating yourself drowning amid the clamour of more than 3 billion other people online, all saying the same, mundane shit at the same time.
With a length and intensity proportionately reflective of the world's increasing socio-political tension and rate of homogeneity, Rainbow Mirror holds firm as a space to immolate the senses in preparation for the ever nearing eschaton.

'Travelog' was the third EP released by Mat Steel and Mark Fell as SND, arriving in 1999 just before the release of their influential debut album 'Makesnd Cassette' on the Mille Plateaux label. Of the three EP reissues in the series, 'Travelog' contains the most developed and satisfying work from the pair, edging their reduced production palette into more fully-realised dimensions, colouring-in those instantly recognisable bass notes and isolated percussive elements with a slow, sublime trickle of melody. The 6 extra tracks included are indispensable - extending the original EP into an hour of mesmerising, slowly immersive rhythmic pulses that still sound pretty much unlike anything you'll have heard before - a perfect bridge between House, Techno and UKG re-imagined within a stripped structure that should act as a masterclass for a new school of producers trying to balance-out rhythmic complexity with space. The opening 'A1' encapsulates this asymmetry brilliantly, bare swing and shuffle riding chiming chords that add warmth and space to an already intoxicating blueprint, while A3 takes those same elements and sharpens them into a slow, undulating alignment bolstered by that immaculate mastering treatment from Rashad Becker. 'B3' takes things deeper - a slow percussive edit slowly drowned-out by a growling analogue drone, while the closing side joins the dots between this EP series and that trio of albums for Mille Plateaux that would soon establish SND as the most forward-thinking and still resolutely original producers from an otherwise largely-forgotten musical era.

Just over a year ago Cassy embarked on her largest and most personal project yet, her debut solo album 'Donna', released on revered imprint AUS Music. Since then, Cassy has put out a string of remixes on Powerplant, Turbo, Echoe and Watergate, plus a track on Muna's latest VA. Throughout this period, Cassy has also been in the studio working on new material, the first of which to be released in September, and is titled 'Cassy 004'.
As the title infers, Cassy is reawakening her self-titled imprint she created in 2006, and has had three previous releases until now. With no plan or set schedule, the remit was simply to release her own records, when the time is right, and the quality is high. The music always reflected the quirkier side to Cassy's club tastes.
And 004 continue in this vein. It perfectly encapsulates the sleek and hypnotic sounds of the harder end of her DJ sets. The tracks are titled 'One' and 'Two', with Cassy giving 'One' a reshape to round off a trio of cuts aimed at the dancefloor.

This is the second release from London duo Dark Circles on their own DC Trax Label. The first release was given play on Radio 1's George Fitzgerald show and supported by the likes of Erol Alkan, Skream, Justin Robertson and Eric Duncan. Dc Trax 2 sees the first release given the remix treatment by an armoury of heavyweight remixers. Phantasy records' Kamera provides a tuff techno work out of Y, Emperor Machine takes inpiration from his old Bizarre Inc guise and making use of his old MPC, takes March back to the 90's raves. The Package is finished off by Lord of the Isles tripping out The Well in 2 strong remixes. This will be a limited vinyl release in February which has already earned a play on 2manydjs' Beats 1 radio show '2x2'.

It feels like a long time since the last Contort Yourself, addiction will make time drag. Fear not, the peddlers of filth are back with a quintet of past profanity and new nastiness. Unknown Precept's Eindkrak serves up a grease dripping, ball bearing filled dish of Shawarma. After the entre comes a 90s treat. Kirlian Camera's Angelo Bergamini's side project with Celestino Pes under the name Andromeda Complex. Here the partnership offer the drums flailing beast that is The Servant (Extract), tongue lolling, eyes bulging techno brutalism from 1994. 4 sees GDL collide claps and low level bass line abuse as a thick haze gathers. Blackrod proudly announce its second release. The quality techno music included on BLACKROD002 is provided by the Italian born MTD. On the remix side two dutch guys, the TWR72 formation show how do they think about techno.
Nicola Belligoli aka MTD was born in Mantua in 1986, after several years of interest in electronic music, particularly in techno, and after experiencing the production world, he decides to open his own label together with its historic partner Tracy.
In the winter between 2010 and 2011 Sonntag Morgen comes to life, initially only with digital releases and then also on wax. Now in its five year it counts more than 50 releases on digital and 8 on vinyl.
With the launch of the label MTD finds room to exhibit the best of his idea of Techno. Hypnotic and rough sounds influenced by dub and experimental moods, he never stop to research and experiment new sounds or new technic. This will eventually lead him to collaborate with many Italian and international labels.
Today in his discography we can find a large variety of works supported by numerous artists of the international music scene.

A breakthrough artist who has had a massive 2017 to date, Or:la returns to Hotflush with three new tracks and a remix of Limbosoup (from her debut Hotflush EP last year) by Detroit's FIT Siegel. Following the launch of her own label, Deep Sea Frequency, and a standout Boiler Room appearance, this new batch of fresh material cements Or:la's position in the UK underground. Taking cues from influences ranging from classic jungle to post-dubstep, Farewell 24 offers more evidence as to why so many have tipped the Derry producer for great things. And to round things off, we are very excited to include a razor sharp remix from the one and only FIT Siegel, one of our absolute US favourites.

"I'm going to try not to gush too much about the fact that 'Me Me Me' has Raj Pannu's first ever record, but you have to understand that he's DJ royalty to someone from where I come from.
From his residencies in Newcastle in the Early 90s, touring all over Europe, playing with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova and James Lavelle to his move into turntablism in the late 90s playing one on one with DJ Craze, A-Trak and Q-Bert.
All the way up to the last decade and his time spent touring the world for 5 years as part of Coldcut, working with institutions like the BBC and Ninja Tune, and just generally being an absolutely mind bending DJ playing with people from all over the spectrum, such as Richie Hawtin, DJ Kentaro, Jamie Lidell, Kode9 and more....
and now he's decided to release his first record... With Us!
As you can imagine for someone with such a varied musical background, FSOP is hard to pin down. I played it to a friend and they said it sounded like Photek covering Pink Floyd, which is the closest approximation I've heard of it, I guess.
It's techno, but steppy, and super musical, and dark, but uplifting. Above all, it's just really special.I couldn't not give the record a full side to itself, and for the remix we've found the perfect pairing with an interpretation from Cosmin TRG (who I met at a festival, and who I instantly hit it off with after finding our shared love of Guiness and Sarcasm).
Cosmin chokes out all of the light with a cut of raw, skittering Paranoid Techno. Providing the ideal balance for both sides of the record.
Raj has also provided us with a Dub Mix which we're releasing as a digital exclusive.
The dub narrows the dancefloor focus, without losing the drama of the OG.
Reading this, you can probably tell how excited I am about this record."
Tel Aviv based two man project TV.OUT has been making a name for themselves these last years putting on impressive live sets, djing around the world, and running their Paralaxx imprint releasing various strains of rugged, well informed electronic music.
.
On their debut for L.I.E.S. we get a smoking three tracker spanning styles that would not seem out of the place being played on the West Coast of Den Hague in the late-90s. Think early Legowelt meets Coca Disco meeting heavier techno sounds as a starting point. Club gear for the gearheads.

R&S founder Renaat Vandepapeliere launches a new series RV Trax, to reflect the sound of his DJ sets.
Re-invigorated and inspired by contemporary dance floor sounds, after 30+ years as the label owner and figurehead Renaat succumbed to the temptation to finally, at the tender age of 60, try his own hand at rocking the crowd.
Renaat's sets have seen him assemble a treasure trove of unreleased music that will now find a very personal home on RV Trax. Emblazoned with the Belgian national colours of black, yellow and red these tracks proudly flaunt their 'floor-filling dynamics. The first, a dance floor stormer from Steve Legget, remixing fellow North Easterners Bird Of Paradise's original - a tight punchy workout that pairs distorted 909 kicks against a high tension string part and melancholic synth pads. G-Prod (AKA French brothers David and Nicolas Gaugain) provide a balmy, motor-city style number - shuffling drums underpin sunrise synth washes and euphoric melodies. Buenos Ayres' Hermetics provide a frostier mood with 'Collider' - chilly FM bells pinned against serrated percussion and swirling distortion.

Mysterious new outfit Glasstalk Records start as they mean to go on with their debut release, showcasing some heavy-hitting techno from Kettering via Leeds upstart, Wilhelm. At the ripe age of 21 and with only one release to his name prior to 38thParallel, this producer has already attracted a lot of support from a stellar cast of tastemakers including Bruce, Midland, Batu, Avalon Emerson, Tasker and A Made Up Sound as well as landing recent radio plays from the likes of Skream, B. Traits, Moxie, George Fitzgerald, Batu and Via Maris.
Wilhelm kicks off the EP with the haunting 'Our World.' This dancefloor heater is jam packed with frenetic percussion, overtly time-stretched whispers and ambient samples of mechanical scrapings. Next up is the title track of 38thParallel EP, a distinctly more off-kilter affair than its predecessor due to its quick-fire drum patterns. Rounding off the release is 'Assignment,' which was quite literally made as an assignment for the producer's university course! This slowed techno roller would be perfect as a set opener.
repressed !
Cellaa Music is proud to present release number 19 with Dennis Cruz & Luliano Mambo. It was obvious then, not to have this young, driven talented artists on board is not an option, they are a gem! Get ready for some colossal dancefloor tech-house heat!
After amazing releases on Insert Coin and Mushroom Smile, Dennis & Luliano lands on Cellaa Music with a smashing ep titled LSD'. Enjoy the hot percussions and the fresh flavors in the three tracks they are proposing you, and put them into your bag. This groove is irresitable!
The Remix comes from Label Head Martin Heyder who totally stick to the vibe yet give it different edges. His Version is deep but is always on point to please the crowd, and rock the Dancefloor...
We hope you enjoy the music!

Granny13 opens with Nicola Ratti's 'Odd Doubt'. With the use of a modular system and tape loops, a broken rhythm is obtained by parallelism between single sound signals as LFO one or processed tapes. On the second side, Giovanni Lami's 'Johnny Leech' is made with a small bunch of equipment, just a chaotic hand-made synth (cacophonator) and a memoryman, working mainly on static electricity and leakage current in the synth used without any kind of power supply.
Reviews
The Wire
''Two Italian mucisians share a split single of glitchy fun and everyone goes some happy. Lami s piece uses a defective unplugged synthesizer to make huzzing chitters that have a kind of rhythm in spots. Ratti s contribution is a bit more structured it sounds like a record of accordion miniatures broken into pieces, then glued back together with little pieces of felt stuck onto it. Which would definitely be a pretty hep thing to hear.''
Textura
''Some releases qualify as art objects as much as musical collections, a case in point this recent seven-inch vinyl outing featuring material by Nicola Ratti on one side and Giovanni Lami on the other. That shouldn't be interpreted to mean that the musical content isn't worthy of one's time, as it assuredly is, but more to emphasize how striking the sleeve artwork by Opora is and how effectively it complements the musical content.Mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi and issued in an edition of 150 copies, the release opens with Odd Doubt, a concise experimental setting by the Milan-born Ratti, who's issued material on labels such as Anticipate, Preservation, Die Schachtel, and Entr'acte and who's presently working with Ielasi in the project Bellows, with Attila Faravelli as Faravelliratti, and with Enrico Malatesta and Faravelli in ~Tilde. Though Ratti started out as a guitar player, his current focus is more on beat-analog experimentation and sound installation. In Odd Doubt, Ratti's modular system and tape loops generate broken rhythms that varyingly call to mind dub-techno, even if dub-techno of an extremely wonky variety. Off-beat chords, crackle, and snare strikes add to the dubwise flavour of the material, though ultimately it registers as more of an experimental exploration than straight-up dub exercise. The flip side features Johnny Leech by Lami, a one-time photographer now known as both a field recordist and a musician focusing on soundscaping and sound-ecology. In his contribution to the seven-inch, Lami's chaotic hand-made synth (cacophonator) and memoryman give birth to blustery smears of static electricity that ultimately mutate into an Oval-like array of ripples and scratches. Johnny Leech is so removed from anything conventionally musical, it makes Odd Doubt sound like a Top 40 pop song. Like Ratti's piece, Lami's is short, so short, in fact, it gives the impression of being an excerpt from a larger sound art work. Here's a release where the abstract nature of the musical content matches its visual presentation.December 2014''

''Granny Records is from Greece, but the two musicians here are from Italy, of which I don't I heard from Giovanni Lami before. His piece is called 'Johnny Leech' and he uses a hand-made synth known as the cacophonator and a memory man (a delay machine), 'working mainly on static electricity and leakage current in the synth used without any kind of power supply'. It makes up for a nice piece of chaotic lo-fi sound, which is put forward through methods of improvisation. Quite a nice piece and it fits the format very well. The crackling of vinyl surely adds an extra layer. Nicola Ratti uses a modular synth and tape loops, of what seems to be percussive material, but the rhythm is broken down and the whole thing has a nice gentle feel to it, even when it bumps, clicks and glides, but the synth makes it more subtle. Here too one could say this perfect for a 7": one doesn't have the idea that this is cut from a longer part as is not unusual with this kind music. Especially Ratti seems to have worked out his music as a composition, which is very nice. Pinkman welcomes Maenad Veyl to its roster of artists for his debut release in the form of the labels second tape. 'Make Them Remember' sets the gloomy mood with clattering percussion and ghostly synth lines. The messy drum patterns of Taiko Death Rhythm' are breaking up the cold mist. The A-side of the cassette is completed by the melodic slow burning energy of 'D.M.M.R.M'. On the other side 'State ov Apprehension' and 'Sotto Gli Occhi Tutti' further darken the character, to then pave way for 'In Ruins' to finish the damage with it's ethereal, yet soul ripping guitar riffs. *** Digital download code included ***

Samuel van Dijk is an electronic music producer, sound designer and media artist from the Netherlands releasing deep electronic music as VC-118A, Mohlao, and Multicast Dynamics. Drawing inspiration from technology, nature, film, and fiction, his productions and live sets embody a dynamic musical framework. Since the Dutchman surfaced as Mohlao for labels like Meanwhile, Field and Other Heights at the turn of the decade, van Dijks music has found a firm position; the ethereal electro VC-118A project, deep ambient techno as Mohlao, and subterranean ambient as Multicast Dynamics.

The Blink single is a labour of love spanning over 2 years evolving from Reshape's Live Series. The 'Tunnel mix' takes its title from being road tested at the now closed Tunnel Club in Paris and both tracks are a homage to early UK and Detroit techno which Redshape holds fond memories of from his youth.
After exploring Georgian soundscapes, the Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound is honored to reissue Stanislav Tolkachev's Blue Mood. First released on Aftertaste Recordings in 2008, this masterpiece is in the Institute's opinion one of the most impressive work of the Ukrainian artist.
For the occasion, Stanislav created the artwork for the record in order to complement or maybe represent an idea behind the release. The Institute plans to ask artists to deliver also a visual on top of their sound communication on the label. Limited copies of Blue Mood will include a photography of Tolkachev's artwork.
Absolute Limit, which finds itself on the B side, is a brand new track by Tolkachev. As usual he delves deeper into abstract and distorted techno, delivering a truly mental cut.

Hana's first and self-titled LP was recorded in Autumn 2010 at Facta non Verba and consists out of 5 tracks which are techno oriented with disposal of experimental and abstract elements.
Reviews
OMG Vinyl
Hana s S/T LP is easily the best promo records we ve gotten in months. This Greek duo has somehow, almost entirely below the radar, released one of the most exciting electronic records of 2011. Their wobbly brand of techno sometimes chugs ahead at full-speed, other times easing back into a wider waver, almost resembling some weird, warped IDM. I will be shocked if this record doesn t get wider appreciation very soon. Whether that happens or not, we fully recommend it, track one down.
Cyclic Defrost by Oliver Laing
Granny Records duo Hana come correct with their first album, offering a refreshing take on techno and IDM variants in the vein of Jan Jelinek, Raime, Actress and hints of the mighty Chain Reaction label. Mastered at Berlin s Dubplates and Mastering by none other than Rashad Becker, a name that often appears in the run-out groove of artists who inhabit a curiously funky techno-not-techno netherworld Hana s debut self-titled release grows in stature and listening enjoyment with every spin. With a sense of fun and adventure inhabiting the grooves, Hana (who are also part of label-mates, Good Luck Mr Gorsky), explore experimental timbres and ghostly vocalisations with a lightness of touch that belies their recording credentials.
Starting off with an abstract, Clicks and Cuts style intro, Liv slowly finds the sweet spot between mutant Detroit electro funk, a hint of the indie/dance territory of Matthew Dear and the abstract, yet rhythmic 12 releases on the Beatservice label, by Norwegian duo Information from the mid 90s. Obermaier implies the groove to begin with, until a wrong-footed man-with-two-left-feet rhythm leads into minimal acidic flourishes. Album opener SM heads in a Ricardo Villalobos vs. Nonplace Urban Field direction, as the lopsided rhythm and sepulchral vocals add a haunted edge to proceedings. CR80 uses beautifully syncopated live drums and urgent female vocals, and adds a driving, belligerent synth riff falling somewhere in between DMZ and Gary Numan. Echoic, boingy sounds threaten to derail the beat, but somehow it manages to maintain, reminding me of Shed and A Made Up Sound; more in overall feel than in the specific sounds. For those that enjoy abstract electronics that work just as well on headphones as on the dance floor, Greece s Hana are a duo to watch.
Textura
Hana's self-titled debut album arrives saddled with a (literally) cheeky front cover one would more associate with a 70s band like Wild Cherry than a Greece-based techno outfit formed in Thessaloniki last summer. Recorded in fall 2010 at Facta non Verba, the five-cut release finds Good Luck Mr Gorsky members Thanasis Papadopoulos and Thanos Bantis hunkered down in their chemical lab concocting formulae to go along with their material's stripped-down techno beats. Using analogue synths, samplers, and sequencers, the duo brings a decidely experimental edge to their productions, sprinkling as they do liberal doses of burble and flutter over bass-heavy techno rhythms.
The opening track, Sm, sets the scene with a heavy low-end pulse thudding alongside a steady kick drum and joined by acidy synths and percussive effects that suggest a lighter being repeatedly flicked open. On a slightly more aggressive tip, the B-side's Cr80 adds truncated vocal yelps to its bleepy, elephantine throb. A dubby dimension emerges in the track, too, when echoing waves drift repeatedly across the huge bass that slithers across the track's underbelly. The album's most elaborate track comes last. Liv opens beatlessly with flickering shudders and what could pass for the amplified workings of an ant community but then progressively fills in the dots with an insistent beat pattern, voice fragments, and even the demented meander of accordion playing. Though Hana hardly rewrites the techno guidebook on the release, it's nevertheless a pleasurable listen, in part due to the multi-dimensional experience provided by the vinyl format and the always superb mastering work done by Rashad Becker at Berlin's Dubplates & Mastering.
As Huntleys + Palmers events has drawn to a close, 2018 will see a big focus in releasing some brilliant new music and introducing some amazing new artists. First up is Wheelman - straight out of Glasgow and fresh off the back of his debut for our Studio Barnhus buddies. To our shame, it took a Kornel Kovacs trip to Rubadub to bring to our attention a real talent who was under our now the whole time! He'd even been to a bunch of our parties and we'd never made the connection..Righting this wrong, we promptly hit him up for music to include on a 'Clyde Built' compilation and they were so good, we designated the bulk of these tracks to this release - 5 absolute BELTERS!
Time has come: Asymptote duo, owner of the label, makes its debut with its first ever release.
SAV004, Behind The Scene Ep, is the result of a driving combination between old and new school elements, aimed at the big floor.
A side, is darker and deeper, made by two acid and atmospheric techno cuts: Behind the Scene and Chain Reaction.
On the B side, The Traveller is a minimalistic techno trip, with Millsian reminiscences.
Plastic City instead, with its essential sonorities, draws inspiration by the old Detroit school, trying to evolve it and go well beyond.

Ron Allen and Hayden Andre are two artist names that some may not be familiar with outside of rare record aficionado circles, but they certainly deserve to have more credit. They crafted some of the most original, fresh, deep and interesting house and techno records to come out of their native Canada. Originally released in 1991, and the first release on their soon to be cult imprint Strobe, 'Metamorphasis' is a strong statement of intent, across six tracks Allen and Andre lay down a plethora of styles ranging from the deepest house sounds to more warehouse leaning bleep style tracks, deep sub bass, dreamy washing pads and taut drum programming are all the order of the day here and boy are we all the better off for it! This is essential stuff for all house and techno lovers out there, the real deal indeed!
The duo, and their label, went on to release numerous other future classics and gems during it's lifespan, some of which will now see the light of day again via a string of fully legit remastered reissues overseen by Ron Allen himself. A long time want by many, often expensive and topping the lists of those 'in the know' 'Metamorphasis' is now available again, as it was originally released way back in '91 with original Strobe artwork intact. Remastered and reissued from directly from Ron's personal source materials it's time these artifacts were made available again for 2017. A truly essential release!

Galaxies in our universe seem to be achieving an impossible feat. They are rotating with such speed that the gravity generated by their observable matter could not possibly hold them together, they should have torn themselves apart long ago. This leads us to believe that something we cannot see is at work. This strange and unknown matter is called dark matter' since it is not visible.
Dark Matter affects the speed, structure and evolution of everything, yet its nature remains a mystery we are yet to explore. This potent, affecting darkness is paralleled in DeWalta´s newest creation, a double 12 Vinyl release on Amphia.

Finally here we are with the fourth release on Last Drop Records, signed by the london-based Stavrogin. 'Collectors' takes a more subdued approach from his debut on Australian label 3BS, focusing on ampdriven ambient textures and digital experimentation. 'Sixty Acres' is a juddering mass of static textures and penetrative low-end, forcing itself to a crumbled close. Title track 'Collectors' is something like the afterglow. Weary and destitute, the track stumbles through heatwave-soaked atmospheres, fragmented voices stuttering like a malfunctioning android. 'Are These Actual Miles' is perhaps the most direct, with its tremors of noise punctuated by a rhythmic pulse. This is a feature Italian duo Ichinen have capitalised on in their closing remix, reducing the track to a warbling, dead-eyed drum workout.

The fifth album, from 1976, originally out on Cobra. 'Intense, violent, bitter, abrasive, uncompromising prefigurations of Industrial and post-rock. It is easy to understand why Merzbow, Wolf Eyes and Oren Ambarchi all wanted to collaborate. Whilst run-of-the-mill comparisons between Heldon/Pinhas and King Crimson/Fripp are hitherto sustainable, Un Rêve Sans Conséquence Spéciale explosively busts open new ground.'

Long time friend of the label Myler finally makes his South London Analogue Material debut with 'Lord of the ASBO'. The EP starts with driving kicks, hypnotic wandering synths and the noisy dissonant stabs of 'Mandem' before taking a more melancholy turn. 'Shutter Windows' slows things down with eerie echoes, dusty thudding kick drums and subtle synths before 'Whiskey & White Women' finishes the last of the originals with a drum track full of trippy percussion and masterful groove. Bad boy Keepsakes is back on the label after SLAM003 and finishes the EP with his take on 'Shutter Windows'.

After previously exhibiting his remixing dexterity on two other occasions, Myles Sergé returns to - made of CONCRETE' to showcase his production chops in a four track EP revealing three originals and one rework.
Firmly rooted in his hometown of Grand Rapids, a city along the legendary Detroit-Chicago axis, Sergé stays true to the musical hallmarks that made history in the scene, sketching up a contemporary soundscape with haunting old school influences. The EP unfolds as a real treasure trove, with each track digging deeper into the realms of dubbed out electronica, while masterfully blurring the lines between house and techno.
Centered around an electric resounding motif, - Rules of Engagement' kicks in with a triangulating synth kept afloat with subtle elements and variations, anchored in a complementing yet discrete bassline.
- Everything In Darkness Comes To Light- revolves around a funky chord progression, making for an unusual house exploration filled with whimpered vocals and eerie rustles.
Aubrey steps in on the remix, offering up a cavernous take on - Rules Of Engagement' by inserting major distortion in the initial synth lead. An array of glitches paired with metallic synths wind up a dynamic countermelody that ultimately takes over the entire groove.
The eponymous - Walking Through Concrete' bounces in with blunt percussion stabs paired with distant claves and clangs, gradually building up the main melodic loop.
The entire release stands as evidence of Sergé's ability to carve melodies into cold and dark concrete-like ambiances, doling out solid slices of groove-infused techno.

His melodic techno taste is employed into each track moving from hypnotic hard strings of the "Cold In Summer" to the sour and acidic groove of "Acid Smiles" (both on the first side). Resilience, the human capacity to flexibly assume limit situations and overcome them, has a lot to do with Joton and his new sound project for this 2017. In the current national panorama of electronic club music and facing such difficulty, artists are a kind of "modern and resilient heroes" who are constantly in personal and professional struggle to be able to continue progressing in the achievement of their ideas, sounds and dreams.
Joton faces his immediate future by showing his purest and analogical side; Returning, once again, to the primitive, to the seminal, to the roots of techno. Always in search of his truth. His maturity, and marked personality while producing, make it a real resilient, which is nothing more than a resident of the world that has made resilience a way of life, an artistic expression and technoid.
'R3silient' lists a trilogy. It will be substantiated through the publication of three vinyls that will see the light throughout this 2017. They will contain original songs by Joton and remixes of artists related to their sound. All this, of course, in three vinyls that all together will make us discover something new, a hallucinating synergy. It is, without a doubt, his most ambitious, resistant and powerful project.
The sound of Joton in this 2017 is industrial, analogical, mechanical, futuristic and sensitive. Dystopia and the club are discussed. Detroit, Berlin and Birmingham. Starting from the very marrow of techno. It is physical, blunt, modular and exciting.

Leyla's 'Parallels & Influences EP' brings together Mondkopf, Positive Centre, Codex Empire & Yuji Kondo for an assaulting 4 tracks of power infused and industrial strength techno.
Mondkopf starts things roling with militaristic snare rolls and off-kilter analog synthesis into a climatic fervor of dystopian scene-scaping. This then is followed upu energetically by the pounding pressure and liquid 303 squelches of Positive Centre's 'Rub'. Crushed out cymbals battle against booming sub bass as a foghorn call rides high above the tempestuous patterns.
Codex Empire's 'Hessdalen' is as slick and detailed as it is ruff and raw. Huge sweeping backgrounds with intense high end percussion lick over a stomping, staggered kick pattern. Yuji Kondo (one half of the excellent Steven Porter project with Katsunori Sawa) brings things to a close with 'Whip Blow'. Bringing his signature refusal for traditional percussion sources - this peaking track pits high level technicality against deeply hypnotic and brooding rhythm.

ART present another landmark classic in Electronic Music history. Originally released on Stefan Robbers' Eevo-Lute label in 1993, Ross 154 aka Jochem Peteri - now best known for his productions as Newworldaquarium - released four tracks of deep, dark, mysterious hybrid techno interspersed with four delicate ambient interludes. Jochem recalls 'we went down to Eindhoven to record at Stefan's studio which was at his parent's place. Actually, we all still lived with our parents.' The recording was lucky to survive as Jochem remembers 'about halfway through recording, all power went off because his mom was frying us some snacks and the deep-fryer short-fused!'
Thankfully recording continued. Jochem describes it as a summary of all the musical influences he grew up with including Schoolly D, Loose Ends and even some 'Duran Duran synth melancholia'. Jochem was also digesting 'new UK sounds like Kirk Degiorgio and B12 plus the big American sounds of the Belleville Three (the Kevin Sanderson produced Mia Hesterley track 'Spark' patricularly comes to mind) and early second generation Detroit stuff like Psyche and Dark Comedy' (Carl Craig and Kenny Larkin respectively).
Jochem continues 'Meeting Stefan and Wladimir (Stefan Robbers and Wladimir Manshanden - co-founders of Eevo-Lute) changed it all for me, They gave the whole thing a unique Dutch synth-wave spin.' Interestingly, he concludes: 'the Fragments EP to me feels like a homage to the great shoulders we stand on today, An amazing legacy which I love and hate in equal amounts.' One thing is for sure - the Fragments EP stands the test of time and remains one of the most sought-after pieces of vinyl from this essential formative era in European Techno. Re-issued and carefully remastered under the care of ART Records owner Kirk Degiorgio, Ross 154 finally gets to be available for the new generation of listeners it deserves.

First reissue of Teersom's two part 12" series of grainy, tunnel-visioned psychedelic techno from 2013 released on Helsinki's Keys of Life. Lithuanian artist Gardens of God has been gradually furrowing his way into the limelight with stand out releases and a unique musical style. 'Montana' is his latest package on Ellum featuring two captivating cuts of modern electronica polished with a dark, techno edge. The deep, grumbling pads in 'Montana' commence a journey through melancholic melodies, intricate textures and a pulsating core beat. Techno bomb 'Under' spikes the backbone in a powerful, warming bassline, structured within melodic keys, subtle shakes and detailed percussion.
Gardens Of God has had a groundbreaking eighteen months. Releases on Maceo Plex's Ellum, chart topping remixes and stand out EP's in the shape of 'Gluk' & 'Zulu' have cemented the producer as one of the strongest emerging artists in the electronic music scene today.

To progress towards a civilization which does not unconsciously perpetuate or aggravate inequality and poverty, we need to accept our many differences. For those who prefer uniformity or others who would rather avoid proximity, the celebration of diversity might sound ridiculous.
A certain measure of discomfort is required to reach compassion. But peace through diversity is no prophet's fantasy. It is no harder to imagine than the magical fact that we are alive right now.
The eternal act of dancing is one of the most active form of contemplation. Facing our own selves in the mirror of movement, we realize that we indeed are reflections of one another at all times. What will our own actions and thoughts feed around us
With over 30 years of combined dancefloor experience, Possible Futures have been witnesses to the wildest fauna and flora the great nocturnal jungle has to offer.
Sourcing their inspiration from the many shades of color that co-exist between black and white, it is through the open and eclectic selections of inspired and devoted luminaries that Possible Futures have found their manyfold sound: Frankie Knuckles, Larry Heard, Francois K, Carl Craig, Moritz von Oswald, DJ Harvey, Theo Parrish, Chez Damier, Ron Trent, DJ Deep or Moodymann, amongst so many others, have dedicated their lives to the flourishing of diversity on the dancefloor.
While the minds of Possible Futures float in the air with their bodies rotating behind the turntables, their feet are steadily rooted in reality, enabling their musical knowledge to unfold beyond the night. Through their own record label, Possible Futures share their therapeutic musical blends.
The first two cuts come from the grooves of Argentine old hand Leonel, a family friend of long date. 'Antares' and 'Bunda' drag their dusty trails across different genres, to be enjoyed at 45 rotations per minute. Curative properties guaranteed.
Delivering us the nineteenth edition of Balans Records is Benny Rodrigues aka ROD, a well-versed and talented producer who has had a strong relationship with the Dutch label and its owner after releasing its fourth release back in 2011.
Opening the EP is '3yr', a mellow track that steadily climbs into a euphoric blend of dub-inspired chords and refined symbols to form an elegant composition. Taking an unexpected turn, 'Float' is reminiscent of a nostalgic voyage Eastbound into the unknown as a traditional flute whistles a techno lullaby.
On the flipside, 'Kloduba's composition cleverly corresponds with '3yr' as its gentle patterns gradually develop to harmonize together. To close out the EP 'Lego' engages the listener as the sounds of watery blips enthusiastically scatter throughout. This four-tracker finds itself a perfect home in the Balans collection, filled with masterly Dutch artists taking a stab at timeless techno tracks.
Roman Poncet returns to Figure with another batch of deadly efficient tools featuring four productions in his stripped-back signature style. Opener Vicious sets the stage with a snappy and muscular breakbeat holding the rhythm down tightly until creeping synths reveal the track's true, eery intentions. Marguerite is more welcoming, with gentle percussion and dubbed out chords making for a loop that could go on forever. The B-side is another example of skillfully sculpting sounds both lean and powerful. On Atome I ricocheting synth echoes and fine layers of percussion sway back and forth until they collapse into an extended atmospheric breakdown. Starting out reduced to its very nucleus, the second version slowly lets an electrifying tension fill the blank spaces. Comprising a set of bare-bone grooves as slick as they are powerfully moving, Roman Poncet delivers another EP in true Figure fashion that is sure to stay in the bag for a long time.

Bucharest's Romansoff brings post-industrial heat on Sportiv002. With previous releases on Creme Organisation, Mörk and his own Raw Tools, Tudor cranks it to 11 and does crunchy, saturated beats under a killer analog riff on Colonial Past. Bodylock on the flip is equally intense but chooses a more stone-cold approach. Gripping, energetic material from a country at peak creativity. Sportiv is a dexterous white label operation that brings you heavy-weight rhythmic performances from the world of techno athletics.
Following his widely celebrated Macro Habitat EP of last year, Santos returns to Dissonant to deliver another three tracks, laying down detailed rhythms that shimmer with the infectious energy in which the man has made his twenty-year career on. 'Garlic' is a roving thrill-ride that hangs on to the commanding groove as it whips through a dense landscape of sound, constantly moving forward with an energy that speaks to primal instincts. That leaves it to 'Invisible' to get deep in the dub, letting masterfully handled delay and reverb pulse out a spiritually enriching techno mantra. 'Cable' takes a different approach, weaving some colour into the mix. The rolling beat flirts with playful swathes of synthesizer and samples for a wonderfully trippy end result that delights the mind, just as it moves the body.
For its first release, Rapid Eye Movement gives voice to VII Circle who sign with 'Archetype' an inaugural powerful and exquisitely crafted EP for the imprint.
The EP, to be issued in October 2017 in both vinyl and digital versions, features three original tracks as well as remixes composed by no less than Dutch techno wizard Keith Carnal and Belgian arising talent Farrago.
Opening the journey, the title track and 'Alpha' exemplify the Italian duo's maturing and sophisticated signature, whose master ingredients are a compelling and obscure-minded groove nurtured by the layering of deep, immersive and melodic waves of arpeggios and punctuated by dramatic and atmospheric breakdowns. Following the path in an ambient-like and ethereal mode, 'Nobody can escape from himself' develops strong and haunting cinematic textures which give an epic climax to the ensemble.
For its interpretation, Keith Carnal sets the tone with an energetic approach of this spacey gem, stamped by massive and catchy basses without neglecting to stay true - or rather to magnify - the strong emotional and cosmic aura of the original piece.
Stepping up on reworking duties, Farrago first delivers an 'Alpha' version which enhances its out of space and out of time spirit with trippy flavors and then ends the pack, in a banging and uncompromised manner, with a raw and pumping techno energy which echo the buoyant force of the underground. Deep into tribal darkness, but without falling with despair into sadness.
Five weapons of electronic mastery which display a captivating and emotional dancefloor-orientated odyssey, to be savoured in the intimacy of its own soul or to be shared with nightclubbing fellows.

Currently undertaking a residency at the prestigious EMS Stockholm, Egyptian producer Ahmed El Ghazoly makes a stunning 2nd mark on Lee Gamble's UIQ label with Numbers, a ruggedly chopped but spatially hypersensitive suite of encrypted electronic rhythms and entrancing, mirage-like geometries.
Boldly committed to his own niche between the folds of grime, techno and electro-acoustic dimensions, Zuli's follow-up to the Bionic Ahmed EP pushes it's loping designs into stranger, spaces within the sound field, finding an idiosyncratic ecology of frequency that finds room for dense, physical subbass, smeared vocals and iridescent motifs amid its morphing dimensions.
The six tracks exemplify Zuli's playfully paradoxical approach to club music, experimenting with tessellating dry and fluid textures in the dusty, humid London-via-Cairo swerve of Bow which cranks opens the EP, to the metastable techno momentum in the buckling rolige of CommProto, while She's Hearing Voices feels like a smoking area between rooms, heard in a queasy but spangled state.
That all feels like preparation for the second wind of the B-side, which convulses into action with the chromatic trance warp of What You Do and its grubbing Autechrian inversion, Tongue Chomper, only to slide off the page in Foam Home's future primordial glob of melted dancehall.
The hooks may be less explicit or tangible here than on his debut EP, but Numbers is proof, if it were needed, of a restless mind which is only just coming into its own.

London-based producer Cera Alba pairs up with vocalist Zahra for a pair of tough tracks on Jamie Jones' Hottrax this June featuring a remix from Stockholm's Tiger Stripes.
Since his humble beginnings several years ago the Newcastle-born artist has cemented a reputation for consistency, with releases appearing on the likes of Hot Creations, Moon Harbour, VIVa MUSiC,
Avotre, Madtech and Gruuv. As a DJ he's been making regular appearances across Europe, including venues such as Watergate Berlin, Sankeys Ibiza, Brixton Academy London, not to mention festivals such as Hideout.
'Taking Over Me' is a dark and moody roller from the get-go. Robust drums and mesmerizing atmospherics form its basis whilst Zahra's soulful vocals and a cavernous low-end rumbles throughout to its rhythm as a piercing vocal and metallic elements ebb in and out of the mix. Tiger Stripes then provides a crunchy remix of 'Taking Over Me', distorting Zahra's vocals whilst incorporating tantalizing synths into his own stomping rendition.

For their next EP, Moon Harbour welcome back Daniel Stefanik - an artist who has been a core part of the family since 2005.
Stefanik is known as a master of intricate grooves, subtle sound design and compelling cuts that really get under your skin. He has put out four albums and countless EPs on labels such as Cocoon and Raum, and also co-runs the Dambala Experience label.
As well as serving up one vinyl exclusive, this EP features a fully licensed cover-version of Hardrive's classic 'Deep Inside,' which originally started as an edit Daniel made last year, but has since found its way into some key DJ sets and become quite in demand.
That track, still called 'Deep Inside', is a fantastically writhing monster with kicking drums, bounce in its bones and anthemic appeal in the classic cut-up vocal cries. Driving but party-starting, it is a surefire way to ignite any dance floor and it only grows more unhinged as it unfolds.
The excellent and vinyl only exclusive 'Another Year' is more stripped back but just as loose and fluid. Constructed from layers of vocal yelps, tumbling percussion and loopy sub bass, it all adds up to a supple yet wild jam that makes you want to cut some fancy shapes.
This is an easy to love EP that features two essential dance floor bombs.

Since Maxime Dangles' contribution to our head honcho Gregor Tresher's 'Breaking New Soil Vol. 7' early 2015 we received several fantastic new oevres from the frenchman. It wasn't easy to decide which ones to release but Sian (Octopus Records) gave us a hand and focussed on 'Fokal' for his remix! Anyway we are proud to release Maxime's debut EP for Break New Soil and are curious how you share our taste.

Miss Jools finally steps inside with her deep and groovy signature sound with her first EP on Sol Asylum with a remix from Dana Ruh. We instantly fell in love with Stepping Inside," this beautifully crafted atmospheric groover is destined to be a timeless gem. Followed by Dana Ruh's swingy reinterpretati that is finely crafted for the dance floor while still keeping it's original sophistication. We are definitely not sorry to have this spaced out deep roller with a nice melodic surprise in the middle titled Sorry Not Sorry.' Then wrapping this package beautifully together is 444 Marjorie' a more classical approach to deep house but always with a modern twist with a dedication to someone very special to Jools.

Molecule returns with a new odyssey both physical and musical. Following the success of 60°43' Nord, his concept debut played, recorded and mixed on a fishing boat during a 34-day journey in the Atlantic Ocean, the French producer decided this time to take the process further up North and embarked on a voyage to Greenland. Isolated for five weeks in the small Inuit village of Tiniteqilaaq, Romain Delahaye used his 'survival electrokit' to find new sounds in the fjords, the icefields and the hostile yet dazzling landscapes surrounding him. Entirely recorded and mixed in this remoted place, the tracks of -22,7°C range from contemplative ambient atmospheres to more upbeat techno blizzards and accurately translate this epic self-reflective adventure across a land of contrast, its abyssal silences, its immaculate glaciers and its blinding whiteness. With ten previously unheard tracks and very enthusiastic early feedbacks from medias internationally, -22,7°C is set to confirm Molecule's status as a one-of-a-kind producer in today's electro scene.

2000 AND ONE (aka Dylan Hermelijn) has been on the forefront of electronic dance music since the late eighties. His pioneering vision across more than two decades of music genres now ranks him as one of the most versatile, in-demand international artists, commanding weekly performances on the house, techno and tech-house global club and festival circuits.
Not only recognized as a magnet for the clubbing crowds, he is also credited for championing the sounds of Amsterdam's new school DJ and Producer generation and propelling the scene's visibility into the international club headlights with his six Amsterdam based labels, of which the oldest, 100% Pure, celebrated its 20-year anniversary in 2013.
After the release of 2000 and One's 'Rambik EP' on Intacto Records this summer, Pitcher Plants EP continues to success the journey of Detroit Techno. Early plant explorers were convinced that the most mysterious pray-tapping pitcher plants came from Mars because they are so out-of-this-world, as is the ode to this EP.

It moves, it sings. ...but does it swing Anyway, it represents the soundtrack of my life, my musical influences: some San Francisco psychedelia, some London underground, some Berlin school (old & new). Krautrock from Cologne & New York minimalism. A shot of Detroit grit, a bit of Moscow dust, a splash of Paris charm Who knows. Its about daily grind, the passing of time, the change of seasons & relations. Reality & fiction & perception. Biography - back & forth

Inspired by an evening spent in a restaurant next to a car demolition site, Eindkrak's long player debut echoes the distant sound of steel being crushed and cars pressed into cubes. All this noise, in combination with the taste of good Italian food, lead to the eleven tracks making up for the aptly titled Brullend Staal — loosely translated to weeping steel. A leisurely stroll on crumpled metal sheets, the acidic hints of oxidized metal and the smell of gasoline. Inaudible and distorted vocals as if smothered by the clatter and smokestacks of steel factories. Eindkrak's first full-length is all about this disquietude made of melted and straightened metal. A resounding and tumultuous din. Try to eat some nice gnocchi while listening to this album, and you'll see what it is all about

- A1: Aeolyca Part 1
- A2: Rain On The Bells
- B1: Sunday Clothes For Brass Bands
- B2: The Peruvian Club
- B3: Aeolyca Part 2
Wriggling away from any clear classification, as 80s Italian new music was wont to do, yet clearly drawing on a number of traditions and procedures, Andreoni and Paladino's AEOLYCA project stands on its own as it intersects the two musicians' already well established partnership in A.T.R.O.X. and The Doubling Riders among other settings with the sounds generated by Mario Ciccioli's aeolian sculptures. Neither aiming for the organic purity of Harry Bertoia's Sonambient recordings or the complex constructions of Mario Bertoncini's works with aeolian harps, AEOLYCA walks a line of resistance in refusing to get with any program. The music that was produced in Andreoni and Paladino's interaction with the recordings extracted by Emiliano Licastro from Ciccioli's sculptures is one that breaks the boundaries between the sound and musical sources.
The work is divided between the quick pop timings of the Rain on the Bells', Sunday Clothes for Brass Bands' and The Peruvian Club' and the longer eponymous structured compositions that bookend the record each track characterized by a dominant sonority inspired by specific iterations of globalized musics. Ultimately, though, notwithstanding their individual structural and sound diversities, the project is indebted to the sampler, the ultimate absorber, the sound source that takes up the most musical space and the possibilities of eroding sources and styles that it imposes.
Further, to indicatively attest the historical context from which it emerges, the 1980s as they came to a close, AEOLYCA was originally released on cassette, that decade's foremost format, agile, immediate, economical and for a US label (Violet Glass Oracle).
This is music that has digested many of the period's instinctive gestures. It exists as a satellite, incapable and unwilling to articulate antecedents and to nurture descendants. This is a unique work in Andreoni and Paladino's well documented activity, individually, in duo, and in their eclectic collaborations with the likes of Roger Eno and Riccardo Sinigaglia. Like the Time Zones Festival from which this project got its start AEOLYCA is what you find on the 'path of possible musics'.

Following on from the 2017 LP Paradygm Shift by Robert Hood released on Dekmantel Records, the Detroit legend returns to the imprint to deliver the final installment in a trilogy of EP releases that initially began back in February 2016. Now based in Alabama, the Detroit-techno producer is returning to his roots. Embracing the trademark, minimal, funk techno sounds that defined his earlier career, Paradygm Shift Vol. 3 is classic Hood, operating in new, and uncharted ways.
.
The EP is an extension on the concept as outlayed by Hood during the project's conceptual stage: ''The idea behind Paradygm Shift is similar to a shift in our focus. We can become so complacent, we are so comfortable with our surroundings, I think this is the time for electronic music to find a new mindset.'' Kicking off off with 'Red Machine', where again parallels can be drawn between the days of Minimal Nation, and Internal Empire - the sound is sparse and brutalistic, representing a challenged future. A progressive melody syncopates along the tracks percussive, backbone, arching its way into the track's eventual demise. On the B-side, 'Transform' provides a composition of stripped, down electro, while taking in the 606 style, and adding additional, textural depth. It's a track full of subtle melody, and high-ranging claps, that make 'Transform' the perfect transitional tool, and standalone floor-filler at the same time.
'Red Machine' and 'Transform' reflect Hood's modern take on challenging techno. Meditative in their sequenced repetition, the tracks draw you in with their audacious, and memorizing sequences. It's contemporary techno, albeit techno that reflects Hood's style and nature. Pulsating, electrifying, with dark undertones, and very much of that Detroit flavour.

The Squirrels from San Francisco are back and they're wearing white after Labor Day — pressing up a limited white-label 12", full of the throbbing electro, altered-states body music, and head-in-the-clouds techno you've come to expect from Squirrels on Film.
.
It wasn't long ago that a particular material girl declared that we are living in a material world, and sadly, that refrain now rings truer than ever. Thank God for the Material Squirrel, then, some unknown player (with a familiar sound...!) whose "Material World" is a devastating electro jam, elevated into the stratosphere by a bassline so big it's silly. Lokier, from Mexico City but residing in Berlin, comes after the anonymous Squirrel to present "Headless," a murky, slower tune with swirling arpeggios and whip-crack percussion that recalls the sound of Belgium and Germany circa '89-'92.
On the B-side, Billy Bates — an old-school San Franciscan with credentials in new wave outfit The Vanishing and the more left-field Autonervous — offers up "Got It," featuring funky percussion entwined around a squirrely (no pun intended) synthesizer, like classic jackin' house on some heavy psychedelics. Last but certainly not least is head Squirrel honcho Solar, closing out with "Anoesis" (defined as 'a state of mind consisting of pure sensation without cognition'), a heady techno escapade that slowly builds and unfurls across the cosmos in seven minutes.

Brothers Black kick off their self-titled label with BRBL001, a four-track original techno EP.
Following prior releases on their own joint imprint, Bade Records, and family labels Safer At Night and Voxnox Records, BRBL is a new home where the pair will curate their own sound and productions.
The pair kick off the A-side with 'Creep Oder Was', a stripped down vocal banger that teams hard-edged percussion with an acidic lead. The A2, 'Axe To Grind', combines dub chords with raw rolling percussion to create a deep hypnotic atmosphere.
On the flip side, the B1 'Only Human' is a tense, driving tool with industrial tones that's perfect for the peak time hours. The B2, 'Imagination Barrier', is a frantic 140BPM techno exploration that combines the duo's signature vocals with heavily 90s influenced percussion.

Mouse on Mars is recognised as one of Germany's most defning and versatile electronic music projects. With their
anarchic mixture of sound that oscillates between uncontrollable chaos and meticulously arranged structures,
Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma have forged a unique musical language, which is readily decomposed by the
unpredictability of its myriad mutations. Free from schools of thought, genre conventions, and from the constraints
of the music establishment, they have worked under the Mouse on Mars alias for 24 years, mapping their own
idiosyncratic trajectory through a no man's land between pop, art, club music, and the avant-garde. - Jan Rohlf
Idiology takes the acoustic experiments of Niun Niggung even further, and it's this combination of electronic
and 'traditional' music -- melding keyboards and synthesizers with french horns and guitars and trumpets into a
seamless whole -- that points the way through the dead-ends of most electronica.'
- PopMatters
Andi Toma and Jan St. Werner continue to create soundscapes that blur the line between programming and live
musicianship, and sometimes between Earth and outer space.' - The A.V. Club
On April 13th Mouse on Mars will release Dimensional People,
their brand new studio album on Thrill Jockey.
The album features Werner and Toma joined by a number of
prolifc guests: Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Zach Condon (Beirut),
Spank Rock, Aaron and Bryce Dessner (The National), Swamp
Dogg, Eric D. Clarke, Lisa Hannigan, Amanda Blank, Sam
Amidon, Ensemble Musikfabrik, and about 20 more musical
collaborators.
After a series of notorious dance oor releases, Dimensional
People reveals them working deep within their own vernacular,
digging into fertile terrain of their inexhaustible vault of digital
and acoustic experimentation, and charismatically making
elemental components new again. This album makes clear how
their craft is of discovery, of fnding new contexts for places,
sounds, memories, sensations, ambiences, technologies,
relationships, and of course, people.
Idiology was originally released in 2001 and is now finally back on vinyl. This re-issue is pressed on white color vinyl and presented in a die cut jacket with artworked inner sleeve and free download card. From their beginnings in 1992, Cologne native Jan St. Werner and Dusseldorfer Andi Toma have consistently challenged electronic music"s paradigm in often surprising and always intriguing ways. Idiology is the duo"s seventh album and is no exception to this rule, as Mouse on Mars surround themselves with strings, woodwinds, brass and the band"s own heavily modified fleet of machines in the St. Martin"s Tonstudio. Fans should once again brace themselves for the inevitable shock of the new as Germany"s most irreverent audio renegades have created the perfect soundtrack for a highly sinister dance party. Kicking off with "Actionist Respoke", the album"s first single, Mouse on Mars officially declare their independence from glitchtronica"s shoegazing legions. Longtime collaborator Dodo Nkishi lends a uniquely warped vocal sensibility to the track which already features Mouse on Mars"s darkest grooves to date. The rest of the album continues to thicken the group"s sonic stew. Tracks such as "Presence" and "Catching Butterflies With Hands" have their populist intentions undermined by Werner and Toma"s meddling hands, while the duo reprise their flirtation with the orchestral as heard on the opening tracks from 2000"s Niun Niggung. At the other end of the spectrum, "Introduce" is a truly evil slice of twisted lympho-zoid hip-hop. Idiology takes no prisoners in its dual-pronged assault on the conventions of modern music. Only with the loungy closing number, "Fantastic Analysis" (a term Werner and Toma invented to describe their working process), do Mouse on Mars let the arrangements breathe a long sigh of relief, the calm after the storm. To enable these stylistic achievements Mouse on Mars enlist the help of partners in crime such as: Nkishi, the multi-talented Harald "Sack" Ziegler, house icon Matthew Herbert on piano, violinist Matty Arouse, in addition to fellow programming wizards Adam "Vert" Butler and F.X. Randomiz. The latter two toured with Mouse on Mars in 2000 as they successfully triumphed over audiences around the globe.

- Leipzig's R.A.N.D. Muzik are perhaps better known for pressing records than releasing them, but to demonstrate their new picture disc press they've curated a limited edition compilation LP for reflective home listening (and viewing).
Featuring Lowtec, Consulate and Leipzig locals Panthera Krause and Leibniz to name just a few, over its 8 tracks the collection moves from melody-driven IDM to dark, atmospheric ambience, through to reflective electronica.
Skilfully pressed on two sides of 12' plastic with artwork by Marijn Degenaar this is surely a must-have for every sensible record collector.'

Ltd. to 999 copies, initial copies on black inside milky clear vinyl,
Cititrax present a split EP by two massive talents, Borusiade and The Sixteen Steps. Borusiade, originally from Bucharest, Romania began as a DJ in the early 2000s and then started producing music in 2005. With a background in classical music, she combined her love of raw electronics, obscure themes and melodic lines to create her own signature sound. She has released on the Cómeme label as well as Corresepondent. Infatuation and Confutation are dark, moody and intense tracks that catch you upon first listen. The flip side of the Promises and Infatuation EP features The Sixteen Steps, the brainchild of George Lanham who cut his musical teeth DJing and running events in the south of England. We have been listening to many of his tracks endlessly for a while now. They've also been a highlight of Veronica Vasicka's DJ sets as of late. Signals From The South and Promises On The Run are both immaculately produced, hypnotic, dance floor killers. They are sparse ebm meets smoky warehouse techno, and offer a wonderful contrast to Borusiade's layered emotive tracks that reminisce of an East Village club in the 1980s. Themes of infatuation, appearances, and anonymity appear throughout this EP from the music itself right through to the cover art.
Limited edition vinyl pressing of 999 copies, first 500 copies are pressed on black inside milky clear vinyl (each record is one of a kind), housed in a matte printed sleeve.
Cadans is not a stranger to Darko Esser's labels as he's seen a solo release on Balans in 2013 and most recently put out a collaborative EP with the label boss himself on the Tripeo imprint. Throughout all four productions Cadans' deep, bass-heavy background is able to shine through with his extensive use of clever percussions.
For the next installation of the Wolfskuil Records series, the Dutch producer Cadans delivers four energetic dance floor monsters. Cadans is not a stranger to Darko Esser's labels as he's seen a solo release on Balans in 2013 and most recently put out a collaborative EP with the label boss himself on the Tripeo imprint.
The EP opens with 'Hollow Funk', kicking off with an erratic drum pattern which slowly builds into frenetic raw claps and a very danceable bass kick which serves to be true balanced chaos. 'Got Woodblock' serves up a dose of suspense as a hollow pitter-patter echoes throughout.
On the flip side, 'Vocal Exercise' delivers a myriad of percussions which perfectly harmonize between a beautiful orchestral interval. The last track 'Papercuts' is conceived with his brother Kracht, and slows down the tempo while still maintaining the industrial flavor of is elements, together with deep vocals and lively hi-hats.
Throughout all four productions Cadans' deep, bass-heavy background is able to shine through with his extensive use of clever percussions.

After releasing their debut full length Album on Kompakt last year, Hunter/Game return to Just This with another immersive offering.
On the ‚Dead Soul EP' the duo continue to refine their expressive yet subtly arranged sound. The title track unfolds slowly, sculpting the melody, texture and suspense. Joey Anderson's take on 'Dead Soul' is airy and atmospheric without losing it's pulsing flow. ‚Isolation' covers a broad spectrum and is filled with contrasts in which an intense bass interacts with a delicate and breathy melody.
Balance is key to Hunter/Game's music and this EP is no exception.

Echocord returns late June with a new release, Joel Alter under his Jor-El alias, entitled 'Tilted Reality' and comprising three originals from the Swedish artist.
Currently based in Copenhagen, Sweden born producer and DJ Joel Alter is a name synonymous with
the contemporary Techno scene on both his home turf and across the globe, his back catalogue to date features a long player for the Uncanny Valley imprint, solo EP's for D'Julz' Bass Culture, Sweatshop and collaborative works for Kontra Musik alongside Henrik Johnsson amongst much more.
This time round though we see Alter return under his Jor-El guise under which he first started releasing material on DJ Hell's Internation Deejay Gigolo imprint. Up first is title-track 'Tilted Reality' laid out over seven minutes with a slowly unfolding dynamic feel, encompassing spiraling atmospherics, distorted rhythms and blooming stab- sequences.
'Elevation' follows and takes a more direct groove-driven approach via straight four-four percussion and hooky bass chops, whilst tension building pads and fluttering dub echoes gradually build around the foundation.
'Solitude' closes out the package deliving into deeper realms with soft ethereal dub chords, acid tinged leads and emotive strings.
American DJ & producer Eric Estornel AKA Maceo Plex is set to relaunch his old moniker called Mariel Ito in 2018. The mysterious alias was active during the early 2000's and flourished from Estornel's experimentation on electro sounds before he would become known worldwide as Maceo Plex. He delivered a bunch of releases under this moniker during 2005 and 2006 including an EP on Modern Love and an album on SCSI-AV, to name a few.
Estornel will come back with a first Mariel Ito EP in 12 years. This new single titled '2e Komst' will land on January 26th on his fresh imprint Lone Romantic, that he launched with the recent Maceo Plex LP 'Solar' last summer. The EP brings two new tracks 'Sintex49' and 'Dmode90' that illustrates the electro edge of his sound with the recognizable obscure synths and electrifying samples of his productions.

Welcome to the long awaited 5th vinyl output of HueHelix. This time, we focus on Ryuji Takeuchi, who brings 4 versatile 'factors' to complete the 'Renaissance Artistique' EP. Factor A is no doubt the most straight techno style banger, which Ryuji himself has been dropping in a peaktime of his every set at gigs in Berlin, Rotterdam, Osaka and more, that always takes audience to another place. Factor B shows a strong influence from EBM, noise, industrial music, which can be a starter of a set, with mad and strong break before its peaktime. Factor C is for sure the strongest and hardest track in this EP, with high BPM with crazy acid synth melody. Factor D closes the EP with percussive and synthy aspects. This EP really indicates how Ryuji has evolved for his entire career and where he's heading to. Definitely the one not to miss. Please keep your eyes and ears open, HueHelix never stops.

About this release *First 10 tracks only come with the limited edition. Nijmegen's ESHU welcomes co-founder Ivano Tetelepta for his first solo release on the label. It is also the imprint's first full length, but Tetelepta's second album after the hypnotic drum workout that was True Colours, his debut on Fear of Flying in 2012. It comes as a double vinyl release with the first disc being limited, and finds the producer casting himself free from the dance floor and serving up a beautifully atmospheric soundtrack that would be a perfect companion for a nature documentary. When making EPs and 12''s, Tetelepta's smooth and infectious drums are always front and centre in his work, whether solo or as producing with label mates under the ESHU alias. He's also worked with labels like Siena and KERING, but here he shows another side that focusses on short pieces, melody and blissful sound design. To give this album its perfectly warm analogue sound, the whole thing was recorded via cassette and revox tape. The first ten tracks are short, immersive musical worlds with poignant chords and glistening melodies. Some twinkle and shimmer, some sound like an underwater eco system coming to life, and others seem to come from deepest space where solar winds and sonar pulses pass you by. It's cinematic and evocative stuff that takes you away from the here and now and into a different realm. The four tracks on disc two then start with Senang, a suspensory and multi-layered piece of music that has keys, modulations and samples wrapping all around you before Whistle Of Patience has a supple minimal drum line that slowly gets under your skin. Ede 2 Nijmegen is then a turbulent dub track which builds a darker mood before closer De Test sinks back into supple, rubbery and warm drums laced up with hypnotic pads that circle all around. This is an ambitious album of meditative music that offers a beautiful place to lose your mind.

The second release on Figure Jams continues to pursue our new concept of pairing certain artists together, this time placing the seasoned Swedish sound sculptor Patrik Skoog alongside Abstract Division, a collaborative project of Paul Boex and Dave Miller, two equally experienced Dutch producers. The latter deliver a pair of straight-forward tunes that seemingly stem from the depths of space. With an intimidating backdrop of menacing and rummaging drones they carefully create a constant sense of alarming tension that is never lifted. This abstract threat takes solid shape in Patrik Skoogs slamming 'The Field", a heavy hitter of immense magnitude that despite packing a bouncy punch still stays afloat thanks to its lightly dancing hats. Another agile alien grooves closes the EP, with rides zooming in and out, slingering and cutting through the track's subtly booming body.

We welcome Mister Adrian back to Pole Group after his release on Warm Up not so long ago. 1975 is his new sonic adventure: three versions of the track plus a remix by Reeko; four cuts on the digital version and three on the black plastic slices.
The vinyl starts with Reeko's version of '1975'. Liquid textures, opaque drums, filtered sequences, subtle high hats and grey and thick drones. Add the constantly moving arrangement and the result is a timeless piece of scientific techno.
Side B starts with version B of '1975', with all the elements present from the very beginning, DX 200 one bar FM sequences, moving percussions and tense strings.
Closing the vinyl is version C of '1975'. It has less elements and brighter drums, although it maintains the one bar hypnotic sequences and adds an excellent real string sample that crosses the stereo, grows and changes during the whole arrangement. Futuristic techno with an old school feeling.
The digital bonus is version A of '1975'. Stomping beat, heavy subbass experience, crazy synth sequences, darkness and punch.
