Novo Line reprises the meter-messing genius of his Movements album with the Dyad mini LP - a brilliantly uncompromising follow-up for Ecstatic. Exclusively using the tools of '88/'89 professional recording set-ups - namely the Atari ST, but with a slight algorithmic alteration.
While it's increasingly hard to find new tricks in old gear, especially with the resurgence of hardware fetishism and the ubiquity of DAWs, that's exactly what Nat Fowler has been doing for the best part of a decade as Novo Line. By, in his own words, 'misusing one algorithmic composition program (not, by a longshot, a professional music production tool of any epoch) contained in 208kb of data on a 3.5' floppy disk',
He generates and explores new permutations of old music which, ironically enough, sound fresher or at least more innovative than a lot of new music in circulation right now.
Inputting ever-changing parameters of melody, and 29 year old algorithms, the machine's voice is live-mixed and presented un-rendered as maxed-out waveforms via 1MB RAM, resulting in a severely compressed and combusting effect that leave mastering and sound engineers the world over scratching their heads in puzzlement. However, the effect is equally enthralling to anyone whose ears have become overly accustomed to contemporary emulations of 'space' in electronic music, and genuinely sound unique in relief of the contemporary field.
The release poses a playful question: can a record be ambivalent as to which speed it should be played
Celebrating vinyl and futhermore physical media, the listener is encouraged to find their exact speed of preference with the RPM toggle and pitch slider, that nearly forgotten joy in modifying speed in real time without a CPU mediating between the listener and sound; some tracks stumble heavily at 33rpm like boulders in the tumble dry, while others flash by at 45. In the taut, recoiling thud of Monad, thru the frenetic pop edit of Ennead to the 'floor-curdling prong of Dyad Marcia on the front, to the forceful New Beat mutation Tetrad, and the mind bending Melpomenean Dyad which closes the LP, its some heavily challenging but deeply satisfying gear that seriously yet playfully messes with convention.
Essentially Novo Line is revelling in the pure spirit of computer music and the sonification of dance music as we know it - born in the '88/'89 phenomenon of techno-house music, including its Industrial/EBM precedents, and its New Beat/Euro House offshoots. And like John McCusker's delectable artwork of a beige room and monitors interwoven with tubular, computer generated follies, Novo Line provides a captivating perspective that shortcircuits nostalgia's illness to result in a killer vaccine against/for convention.

After the first big success, the second Vinyl Release from the young Frankfurt Label eMBi Music is following now. The next artist from Italy, who is not quite knowen yet will be talked about. "Odo Makes A Smile" is not only the artists name, but also programm. In "U Got it EP" he is showing his skills and the sense of music. He is combining the melody and melancholy in clubs suitable Grooves. This lead also Aldo Cadiz to a remix and together with the Molisans Brothers this record will be a must have for every recordcase.

Norse Projekt returns with it's 5th release courtesy of Pascal Benjamin who delivers 2 original tracks heavily based around his unique sound, Raster has been remixed by Einzig who delivers his Romanian feel to the groove. Support from Raha & Rhadoo.

Next up on Asking for Trouble after selling out the album and re-pressing comes a four track remix EP for Radioactive Man's Luxury Sky Garden album.

Life-time friend of Radioactive Man and Control Tower partner Dexorcist aka Simon Brown is first up to deliver his take on 'Sonic Portal' on the A side. His style has always been uncompromising and as a music lover and DJ he's been a major influence on Tenniswood's style and taste for a long time. Dexorcist turns in a Detroit influenced banger which goes deep.

Ben Pest then follows with his own take of the same track. A member of funk band Pest, purveyor of Wonky Techno, music tech teacher and hardware enthusiast Ben has also released on Jerome Hill's Don't' Label, I Love Acid and Horror Boogie to name a few. His take on 'Sonic Portal' is as genre bending and weighted as you'd expect.

Over on the B side Pain Struck Stanley Dumb remix 'Blast Furnace' - a fast and furious electro track which was released as a digital bonus to the album. They work it into a breakneck speed techno number. Taste the amphetamine!

Completing the package Biggabush (aka Glyn Bush) brings his dub influence to the mix. Bush of Rockers Hi-Fi connected with Radioactive Man during a mastering session asking to do the mix after hearing the record. The results are impressive and provide a welcome tempo and vibe change to the EP with its deep and dubby elements.

Listening to Unknown Path's Pathfinder for the first time is a claustrophobic experience. It's as if the tracks had been recorded to tape and left to decompose for 10 or so years, then dug up and re-recorded. A thick layer of grunge and an overall murky feel sets the tone for Path 0.1 and continues throughout the EP. Paths 0.2 and 0.3 add a more upbeat feel to proceedings, as the beats get scattered around like they were in a pinball machine. Path 0.4 finishes off the experience by bringing the tempo back down, while all the time keeping the uneasy atmospherics that make this EP a unique and rewarding listen.

Berlin based Arttu has been dropping his dusty fat beats across numerous techno labels including Philpot, Clone and 4Lux for a few years but it was 2016's track 'Hoodies' on Arttu's own imprint Cyblo that caught the attention of Accidental label boss Matthew Herbert (and which remains firmly in Herbert's record bag). Arttu was invited onto the Accidental Jnr roster and has delivered a chunk of techno with so much swing it made Donkey Kong blush.

Arttu takes the most simple of jazz bass hooks and loops across a rigid kick, it's when those hats kick in that the groove goes fucking wild. The presence of US native Roberto Q Ingram on vocals brings a full Detroit gangster flavour to the party. Initially Arttu and Roberto had an idea to record a simple and sweaty track with Roberto on the mic and Arttu at the control of some dusty old machines. The result, 'Bass Trakk' is exactly that: Roberto dropping lyrics over a raw beat and a massive bassline. The EP is rounded off with a deep bit of techno 'Debris' with all the trappings of the darkest hour of a Berlin winter in which it was recorded.

Corda Ep is Anton Kubikov's second solo release on Pro-Tez Records. It's a sultry, padded Ep that makes use of a slowed-down template before covering it in swathes of dub pads and a pulsating square bass lines - reminding of an imaginary midnight sound jam between Maurizio and Larry Heard. It is a robust and propulsive release for all dub techno heads. Anton is emerging once again with his own utterly individual dub emissions with a touch of proper minimalism to it. Informa Experiments Volume 2 continues with the same concept as the last, 4 artists submit a bank of sounds and from these sounds each artist composes a track. A simple idea that proves very effective.
This time the contributors are Claudio PRC (Prologue), Takaaki Itoh (Wols), Ben Gibson (Chronicle) & Deepbass (Informa) Each version has come out very different but all have a beautifully analogous feel. Deep, pulsing hypnotic techno.

INFORMA004 is by friends of the label Ness (Prologue, Synewave) and Rasmus Hedlund (Resopal Schallware, Mono Records) who have collaborated to make two extraordinary tracks for us. Punto Kokous and Verso Pohjois which have a mixed Italian and Finnish translation of Meeting Point and Direction North. Both tracks are focused on deep atmospheric techno, with dark haunting atmospheres. everything Informa Records stands for. Their concept for the release was simply to exchange sounds and influence with each other and in doing so they created something very special. Also on the release we have a momentous remix from Edit Select (Electric Deluxe, Stroboscopic Artefacts) And a deep brooding remix by label boss Deepbass.

Half Baked resident Greg Brockmann teams up with good friend Odd Soul under the moniker OddMann to present their first release on Half Baked Records. Bringing three tracks of dark, driving but groovy minimal techno, the boys are bringing a new flavour to the Half Baked label. These two have really been working hard in the studio and that is evident across the release as they provide something for those dimly lit dancefloors with big sound. This is some serious heads-down trippy music to lose yourself within!

Yan Cook makes a stong impression with his debute EP on Dynamic Reflection. 'Melter' EP includes three mesmerizing originals and an outstanding Philippe Petit remix on top.

Yan Cook shedding his 'upcoming' status more and more and turning himself into an artist which is here to stay. This EP has already did some serious damage on the floors, as expected.

For Kontra-Musik White Label's 10th release we give you none other than Nuel. The Italian producer is closely connected to the Aquaplano label run by Donato Dozzy - a natural source of collaboration as they speak the same language, not least in the musical sense. Nuel has perfected this dreamlike and seductive speech and it was irresistible for Kontra-Musik. On the surface Nuel's tracks might seem abstract and mathematical, but there's really an abundance of movement and groove in his music. Mechanical yet sensual, there's subtle erotic current running through the whole release: It's like a Marvin Gaye record for robots that just want to get it on.

Oliver Huntemann always delivers - especially on his own Senso imprint. After two decades at the forefront of the European scene, to see his name on a record guarantees deeply accomplished techno - direct yet sophisticated, brutal yet refined, physical yet cerebral. After a string of impressive digital releases, the four tunes collected here more than merit an appearance on vinyl. 'Pech' is a masterclass in the selection and combination of tone and texture. Elements unfold and flower organically - including a sustained and deliciously pitch-bent bass tone - as the tune reaches its climax of dancing synths. 'Schwefel' takes a voyage into more eerie territory, full of echo and distant music-box pings that are finally subsumed by gritty synth repetitions. The airy feel of 'Schwarzlicht' with its simple kick-less beat and textured woodblocks gives way to an imposing, thorax-rattling low end. Precision-engineered for a massive system, the pitch-bent bass twists like a contortionist, while piercing stabs pulse and ping. Last up, the slamming kick and buzzing repetitions of 'Filmriss' create a dark, edgy vibe. A pitched-up pulse - as if a string is being slowly tightened to breaking point - makes way for a truly monstrous and memorable sub bass.

New York's P. Leone is next up on Spencer Parker's Work Them Records bringing a trio of hard-hitting cosmic cuts.

Born and raised in South Brooklyn, P. Leone cut his teeth DJing during a short stint in Tokyo as well as his home of New York before dedicating himself to the studio.

He now arrives on Parker's Work Them Records, beginning his debut three-track release in mesmerising fashion with Atria delivering spectral atmospherics and tantalising melodies.
Sequences Of Attraction then introduces thunderous kicks and soaring synths until Miradouro wraps things up with dusky pads, echoing aesthetics and spellbinding arpeggios.

The Desecration Of Desire is the first album in 14 years from Techno heavyweight Dave Clarke. The follow up to his acclaimed 2013 album 'Devils Advocate' the new album is a dark, ruthless journey including features by Mark Lanegan, Mt. Sims, Gazelle Twin, Anika and Louisahhh and reinforces his title as the Baron of Techno, a moniker given him by the late, great BBC Radio DJ John Peel.

Astral Dust is a 4 song excursion bridging the styles of Derek Michael and Marshall Applewhite. This project stems from a live recording of a set performed by Michael in 2002. After being tucked away for almost 15 years, the recording was found and sent to Applewhite who dissected the performance into fragments and breathed a new life into them. While some portions of this release are distinctly sludgy, the majority is a perfect amalgamation of both Michaels and Applewhites hard-edge, melodic borderline IDM styles. The digital release will feature 2 digital only sub cuts from the sessions.

Berlin based but hailing from South America, LPZ offers up his latest production to the Hong Kong based label Fragrant Harbour. The use of modular synths lends the whole thing an unpredictable and analogue feel that makes is bristle and brim with life throughout. Part 2 focuses on more suspensory ambient sounds. It means tracks zone you out and get you thinking, with distant melodies drifting next to warm solar winds. When drums do appear they are deep down below and dubbed out affairs that unfold slowly. A album that keeps you locked from start till end!

Entitas, is the second instalment of Jay Clarke's BLACKAXON imprint, and sees the label boss bring out the big guns in the form of three distinct and diverse cuts. First up is Entity, an autonomic monster which has sweat soaked energy written all over it. It's auspiciously one part deep, and more than double just as twisted. Things are far from linear with Entity, it's mercilessly the sum of it's own parts, and has the hallmarks of a true big room pleaser written all over it. A truly authentic demonstration of the old adage 'It's not where you are going, it's how you get there'. Entity is certain to be reached for by all of the major players on the Techno circuit for a long time to come.
On the flip, Ghosts Of Acid is the Yin to Entity's Yang. A plangent and introspective groove opens up with wispy cymbals, cleverly placed rims, hats and claps. Exploratory and evolving subaqueous acidic forays dare the listener to dive in a little deeper, with the reward being a very proficient and efficient take on the now classic Acid sound.

Existence Through Perception seeks to carry on where the previous two tracks left off. A driving groove and sinister hook lets up briefly midway to a near triumphant fanfare, only to be brought back to it's mischievous overture. A perfect late night/peak time track for DJ's looking to elevate the bar of their set just one more rung higher.

Delsin Records' Inertia series is back with a powerful four tracker from Yan Cook. The producer from Ukraine has also released Delsin's main label and associated Ann Aimee, as well as Planet Rhythm and Cooked. He makes straight up techno that arrests your attention and does just that again here. 'Toucan' is first and is a spangled, underwater techno track with gurgling lines wrapping round shuffling percussion and insistent drums. It's one to get into your head, while 'Puffin' is more physical, with more warped synths and paddy drums woven together into a fluid, rippling groove that never lets up. The drums on 'Dialogue' are deep and land with real resonance while dubby chords rattling out to the horizon. Last of all 'Flamingo' is the most manic of the lot, with hi speed synths and booming drums all coming together to make for powerful, sub shaking and room filling techno madness.

Despite his low profile, Ken Karter might be one of Berlin's most influential artists in the techno scene. Karter is known as a mastering engineer for the seminal M_REC LTD, however his own productions have gone largely unnoticed until his 2015 EP on Stroboscopic Artefact's Monad series. His EP turned heads and gained him well-deserved attention. Two years later, his follow-up EP on Escapism exemplifies his focus on quality over quantity. His passion for mathematical formulas combined with his intricate knowledge of sound created an outstanding record set to satisfy both fans of experimental and dancefloor techno.

MACHINE JAZZ brings you the dystopian sci-fi duo SEER (alter ego and collaboration of M. Parent and Maroje T.)! After their incredible debut release on Detour the duo keeps breaking the rules combining broken 808 beats with Hip-hop breaks, gnarly trippy vocals swelling over dissonant synth notes and sprinkles of dark IDM/EBM that brings pure raw energy to the dance-floor making time-space-mind become irrelevant.

Aaron Noseday is the alias of Thomas Collard, a Belgian Acid fiend whose own label Lord Cal specialises in unpredictable 303 experimentation, equal parts Mike Dred and SUF. The six tracks on this latest EP collude to create a formidable statement of intent.
A bruising, atonal six-minute 303 workout, A1 kicks us off by shearing away Acid Techno's latent funk and repositioning the TB as a weapon of brute force, teaming it with thundering, tribal drums. One Interlude later, the second proper track A2 unleashes rubbery gabba drums which underpin pretty keys and all manner of maelstrom-like noise. Somebody belches and again that stentorian drum starts up for the set's longest and most idiosyncratic track, B. You wouldn't call it a beat - it's a pounding, and around it orbit all manner of queasy disorientating noises. Fans of Rephlex, Planet Mu, or hard uncompromising Acid, you might just want to check this out.

The Soul Notes imprint has never restricted itself to just one sound. Ever since it emerged in late 2011, the Basque County based outfit has shown several sides of it's identity and has developed into a diverse and well balanced home. One of the label's usual suspects is Cologne native, Adryiano. After reaping some havoc with his efforts on the SNX series early last year, Adryiano has been crafting his ''Down South EP'' (ironically) somewhere in the North Rhine- Westphalian Concrete Jungle.The Down South EP is buldging with deep sine basses, fine rhythmic synthwork and lavish but hefty beats. The title track showcases these exact things best. The essence of Adryiano's latest effort is still somewhat hard to pin down. A lot of different moods are going on throughout the EP while the overall sounds maintains it's own glance. From the deep machinefunk on Down South to the broken beats of Feel What You do. All of these bits have a nice
theme to them.

A bastion of magnetic style and mixing board finesse, Honey Dijon continues to exceed her bounds, pushing through from the underground of New York to become a cultural, global star. Honey has teamed up with Charles Duff aka Charles McCloud, who lends his seductively sulky tones for the vocal on the record. The sixth release on Deep'a & Biri's Black Crow label welcomes another new name into the fold: Nico Campanella has been quietly building a stellar reputations for himself over the past few years, working under a variety of aliases to explore a sound that much like Deep'a & Biri draws deeply from techno's Detroit heritage as well as the propulsive dub techno of Basic Channel. With releases for several high quality under-the-radar European techno labels, including Construct Re-form, CLFT, Monnom Black and his own label Subosc, Campanelli's Kaelan and 2030 projects in particular have won him some ardent admirers & plenty of tips as a talent to keep an eye on. It's as 2030 that he joins Black Crow, for the Timeworm EP, which is completed by remixes from FXHE's Luke Hess and the label's Tel Aviv-based founders. The EP's original track are a pair of lushly-produced classic Detroit-influenced excursions, redolent of the cascading ambient textures and string melodies found within the work of the city's first wave pioneers. A1 cut 'In aeternum' could easily be mistaken for a lost early 90s classic in the best possible sense, while the title track also draws on a similarly timeless quality. With the original track ensuring the EP package will win other home listeners, it's the remixers who shape them for the dancefloor. Luke Hess's 'In aeturnum' remix is powerful dancefloor workout that retains a softer edge, recalling the producer's recent collaboration with OB Ignitt. On the B side, Deep'a & Biri offer two of their own interpretations of the title track, pulling the track across the dub techno galaxy with their trademark dexterity. Completing a truly exceptional package is beautiful hand drawn artwork by Israeli artist Avraham Guy Barchil.

Ep number four of this series of eight remastered tracks with remix-tributes to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here, and kicks off with D_func's remix of Steigreider on side A. Creating a warm grayscale atmosphere, the track is carried by a heavy sub kick groove that's saturated with the modern industrial energy that proves Kowalski's skills as a techno craftsman. As a contrast, Jeroen Search's remix of Aces High on B1 is a more minimal interpretation, carried by a slowly developing beat and playing skillfully with the most recognisable elements of the original. The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern's Lydia To The Edge Of Panic is a timeless classic, painting a Morgenstern-typical distant and dream like landscape and opening up into a widescreen chord progression, with an epic build up.

Well not quite.

If one would search for Fluxion - Vibrant Forms III, Discogs would come up empty and Google would treat it as a misspelling. Until now.
Konstantinos Soublis, aka Fluxion, and Subwax Bcn have decided to pick up the banner and release Vibrant Forms III as a CD as well as four individual 12" records under 2016. It contains everything you could hope for and more: The massive, booming basses, the clicks and hisses, the atmospheric thunderstorms, the opium smoke-scented streaks of reverb and dub echoes. The warmth. Yes, above all else the warmth: Sometimes moist and dripping as in Safe Harbour, sometimes blisteringly dry as in Variant. It's no easy task, giving cold, dead machines warm breaths. And no-one quite does it like Fluxion.

The Reissue of Vibrant Forms II was an act of cultural preservation. It reminded us about the legacy of the Basic Channel label family, in which Chain Reaction played an important part. Without this legacy, the contemporary body of electronic music would look different and make very different sounds. With the Release of Vibrant Forms III, Subwax Bcn takes it one step further. Fluxion's Vibrant Forms III album remind us of the timelessness of truly great music, never mind the genre.

Mancunian newcomer LOFT lands on Wisdom Teeth with a stunning set of dramatic, dynamic and cinematic club cuts. LOFT debuted on Astral Plane Recordings last year with the 'RA Recommended' Turbulent Dynamics EP, which featured five stylistically varied slices of experimental, sui generis club music. The EP's centre point, 'Heffalump', stood out in particular. Across 7 minutes the track rises and falls, its rhythms and melodies constantly shifting and changing, building to a fanfare coda of trance stabs and tumbling breaks. Resident Advisor, who placed the track 8th in their Top 50 Tracks of 2016, called it 'disorienting and strangely danceable' - a pairing that, on WSDM007, turns out to be LOFT's calling card. Three Settlements Four Ways picks up where 'Heffalump' left off. Dynamically and structurally, the EP operates miles outside of traditional club territory, eschewing techno's constant, linear structure in favour of unpredictable narratives that rise and falter in a series of dramatic crescendos. Baltimore rhythms and gunshot breaks build to violent peaks before tumbling into thin air, giving way to yearning melodies, romantic synths and pitch bent choirs. WSDM007 secures LOFT's place in that special class of artists - think Objekt, Bruce, A Made Up Sound - capable of creating impeccable, challenging dance music that is at once cerebral and unfalteringly functional. If mindfuck dancefloor moments are what you seek, look no further.

Myk Derill is back on Knotweed for the fifth time with his immediately recognisable style of techno: bare to the bone, minimal, repetitive and ultra percussive, yet most important of all, super groovy. In recent years Moiré has become an integral figure in re-imagining club music. The enigmatic artist has travelled a note-perfect path and in just a few years has collaborated with fundamental record labels such as R&S, Werk Discs and Rush Hour. After his second and long awaited album "No Future" (Ghostly International, 2017), Moiré's "BBOY EDITS 01" is the first signing on C.E.E. The four track EP is comprised of unreleased material designed for the dance floor and provides continuity to his much prized Neversleep series. Club Excursionista de l'Electrònica (C.E.E.) is a moral, spiritual and cultural entity founded in 1875 in Vall de Camprodon. C.E.E. includes thousands of anonymous members who are organized into subdivisions and enjoy Sunday excursions into nature to end the weekend, where the joys of nightlife give way to clean air and mountain pursuits. C.E.E. can be described as "electronica folklorists", with a select catalogue of sounds from across the continent and beyond that represent an ethnographical journey through the most modern treatments of songs and popular dances practiced in clubs and tents all over the region.

If Psychic Health's self-titled debut album took the lessons the LA duo learned in the teeming clubs of Berlin and Melbourne, their latest LP, Exclusion, look inward, a document of the duo tunneling down the studio wormhole. As such, Exclusion is a remarkably dynamic effort, adeptly jumping between evocative ambience ("Jamaica 88," "Ryso") and equally expansive dance floor fair.
Examples of the latter, such as the album's obvious centerpiece and titular track, Exclusion, document Gabriel Mounsey and Devon Steffens's harnessing modular beast technology for peak techno utility, finding a clear thoroughfare between the soaring strings of Derrick May's classic Transmat releases and Ostgut Ton's current EBM-inflected precision.

After a feature on Steffi's fabric 94 mix CD (and the accompanying Dolly Deluxe 3 release), Late Night Approach debuts on Klakson with a hyper funky electro twelve. The two tracks on the A side both show machine music that's simultaneously human, whether it's the melancholic shards of melody buried under "Clarence Mews" commanding rhythmic pulsations, or the beautifully striking chords on "Luvquest". However, the b-side takes us to gloomy subterranean pastures with the uptempo banger "Primo", while A2 "Kit" crosses over into broken beats but still keeps the same shadowy atmosphere.

Mysterious duo New Frames blends the experimental side of early 90's IDM & techno with modern day production. Heavy banging beats paired with intricate melodies and great arrangements. Top notch music right here, don't sleep..

NYC experimentalists Sheik N Beik add to a series of successful parties in the capital as well as an extolled slew of 12's from the likes of Legowelt & Xosar as Xamiga and Jeffrey Scott with another weird and wonderful record courtesy of Sheik N Beik founder Julio operating under a new guise: Rechulski.

Also hailing from NYC and a regular at the collective's parties - Rechulski offers up a celestial 3 track EP as his debut and in doing so offers up an insight into a left-of-centre approach to production that lends him perfectly to a record with Sheik 'N' Beik.

'Jürgens' is an excersise in tense, burning Techno and kicks the EP off with powerful analogue drums rattling against cold, distant pads. Clever sequencing has the track snowballing throughout as subtle tones and shimmering percussive elements are added before Müller drives a stout kick drum under tumbling, phased melodies that are interweaved to form a formiddable wall of sound.

Rüdiger then renders a chilly lunar landscape as it suffuses gentle flickering textures with wide spread synth sweeps. A cyclical sequence gently bleeds into focus alongside sharp electronic pulses that round off a rich and varied release and another solid addition to the Sheik 'N' Beik series and an exciting insight into an auspicious new producer.

Excellent 2 shooter, with one side from SagSag 23 and his tribal pumpin abuse... kick changes and loads of breaks to maintain this 11 minutes track alive.
Still in a progressive way, with some good surprises. Ritch tune !

The elusive STL returns with a 3-track EP on his newfound home of Dark Matters. 'Nonzero Sonics' is the sixth label release to date, and their first to emerge this year. Stephan Laubner has enjoyed an accomplished career with releases on labels including Perlon, Smallville and Echospace. Despite a scarcity of interviews and public appearances, his reputation as a devoted audiophile and hardware enthusiast has afforded him a loyal following in underground music circles. This release marks the beginning of a new chapter with Amirali's Dark Matters imprint. 'Nonzero Sonics' explores dark and twisted sentiments in avant-garde structures, consistently executed with impeccable detail. 'No More Words' meditates on elements of dub and techno in an extended form, whilst 'Smooth Selector' establishes a stripped back groove replete with sub frequencies and cavernous echoes. Closing track 'Out Of The One' places peculiar harmonies in a tranquil framework, exemplifying the diversity of a producer with true dedication to his craft.

This is the result of the Webzine Electroziq's Nightmare contest!

More than 60 tracks were selected... and people had to vote! A jury composed of musicians and producers from the free party scene had to choose their favourite tunes. Anonymously of course.

The result is here. On Vinyl: we got 4 winners!
And so we have 2 Tribecore tunes, starting with Kroter and his fat kick, at the Hardcore Frontier after the break!
Then comes Binary Squad and a bloody hard Pumpin dark rave Speedtechno...
B-side brings a different point of view with one superb Hardcore & crossbreed track from KaiNomed, that breaks the rules of both styles.
To finish, a chill mental tribe tune, System NO3 did bring a superb progressive hypnotik acid and melodious electronic bolero!

All this music is a good representation of the skillz and tastes of the Electroziq webzine and forum community!

Abrasive EBM led Acid Techno jams, insanely hard to get. Original cassette came out in 1990 in a limited edition of 200 copies.

All rhythms, synths, vocals, effect, tape and radio manipulations by RB. Recorded live at home April/May 1990. No mixing or editing afterwards, no samples, no stereo, no dolby.
