Keith Worthy The Price of Non-Conformance Long established Detroit talent Keith Worthy traverses a fine line between deep, bumpy house and raw techno on his debut double album, The Price of Non-Conformance. T.P.O.N.C. is a conceptual project that takes you on a virtual walk through the streets of Detroit. From a musical standpoint, the sound and feel of T.P.O.N.C. aligns with Worthy's own DNA, a complex blend of house and techno, and all while incorporating a degree of fantasy into every composition.

This polyrhythmic swirl of drum machine, tape echo and locked grooves is the product of two post-1982 jam sessions between an anonymous DJ and drum machine operator duo. The DJ liked the way a record happened to skip. More were made to do so. The drum machine operator had had a bit too much, but he knew that 100 divided by 3 was 33 - and he was feeling the toms that night. File under: Funky Experimental.

None of the Above aka N/O/T/A is an escape from reality plan. Made in between London and Toronto, it joins Dinamo Azari (AZARI & III) and Mixhell's Laima Leyton and Iggor Cavalera (SEPULTURA). Eager to collaborate and make music in a non compromised way, the trio brought together live and electronic drum beats, strong bass lines, unexpected samples and dark synths to an unknown place. It is none of the genres we are listening to nowadays but it still brings together a live feeling of techno, industrial and acid.

New York techno producer Shawn O'Sullivan makes his return to L.I.E.S. under his Vapauteen moniker.
After an amazing release on Avian as 400ppm and a collaborative effort on The Corner with Beau Wanzer, here we get O'Sullivan turning down the bpms and slowly crushing everything in sight. The a-side provides three tracks of unforgiving modular slowcore beat electronics which trudge their way to the grave, while the b-side is strictly about power electronics and harsh tone work outs. Sure to piss off someone on the internet or better yet, in real life.

The Echt Walle Traxx sound like driving a rented car in the shadow of the TV-tower through Bremen-Walle, bringing back the empty crates of beer from last night's outdoor rave, craving for champagne breakfast while being lovesick and exhausted, and it's raining outside (slightly).

"made of CONCRETE" release number 11 sees a joint effort from Danny Kotz and Avi Caspi in the form of an incursion into the deep end of spacious techno.
"Reject" unfolds steadily, as spatial loops intertwine with piercing zippy synths. The laid back melodic outline is aptly layered with sombre French vocals by Laurie Eve Jasmine de Larohe which giving the track a mysterious yet groovy appeal.
Starting off with a subdued bassline, "Canopy" follows a slowly ascending groove, as progressive synths and wavy hooks further the track into deep tech territory.
For the B side, Myles Sergé swiftly jumps in on the "Reject" remix, stripping down its embellishing elements and shifting focus towards the bassline. What ensues is a compact backdrop where the bass and percussion take the lead, resulting in an intensely danceable reinterpretation of the original.
Stepping away from the murky ambiance present in previous tracks, "Karat" boosts a slightly more vivacious range of harmonics. Energetic synths set a peppy, 70s-reminiscing mood, while the melody keeps the cut anchored into present day electronica.

AudioBoyz are Fatonic, Motion, MudPunk & Njeh - hailing from Riverdene, in the Newlands West suburb of Durban.
This EP surveys a range of their material to date. Their tracks are earnest and powerful, equal parts emotional and brutal, cinematic and functional.
Bells and monkeys bend around tuned percussion and future-shock electronics. A spirit and charm all their own radiates through their tracks, marking them out as one of the most exciting artists of the Gqom movement.
Limber, finely-taut and combustible - this music is fully deserving of your time and attention.

The man behind the track that Move D proclaimed "owned the dome at freerotation" , returns with 3 new tracks of deep machine grooves, his first release since 2013's Analogue Mapping. "Frey'd" is built around a synth patch stumbled upon whilst conducting a test on one of bovill's machines with rennouned Synth engineer Frey Smith. Opening with playful ,bubbling analogue tones and nostelgic pads, before characteristic basslines, percussion and 303 lines join in, ending on a spaced out contemplative groove . " L.A.T. " is a more stripped down track, which ebbs and flows around subtle builds, tweeks, and delays, perfect for the deeper late night dancefloor. Closing the ep is Golden burn, the deepest and most dubbed out of the 3 tracks, sprinkled with emotive keys, and underpinned by distinctive bass lines.

The fifth release in this tribute series to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here. Side A kicks off with a trippy version of Morgenstern's "Spiegelkerker", by Konsequent label chief Maral Salmassi - a carefully set psychedelic trap, building up gently just to drag you through its tunnelling groove, inside the eye of the hurricane. TWR72's remix of "Ex Machina" on B1, merges the interlocking samples of the original in a vortex, spiral around the pounding kick, rolling right into the heart of the Milky Way.The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern's "Girls Got Rhythm" sets the pace, with a dense groove and pounding beats, accenting a colourful cluster of house elements, with streams of sparkling metallic percussion.

Globetrotting DJ and producer Luca Venezia, better known as Curses, indulges in his nocturnal and romantic side, revealing a penchant for dark basslines. 'Jetzt Oder Nie' opens proceedings with a straightforward bass and infectious arpeggio line. Sebastian Voigt's reinterpretation keeps the focus in the deep techno territory, introducing a steady paced and anxious facet. Stepping into an industrial influenced soundscape, 'Power Of Darkness' revolves around the hypnotic vocal hook, gradually
transcending the listener into a late-night dancefloor trance. 'Infinity Maker' plays on the mesmerising repetition of the initial coarse drum pads, resulting in a straight-up techno tool. The synth lead stays in the deep end, progressing to a beautifully dubby and atmospheric finale.

30 year old Inland a.k.a Ed Davenport is an Englishman currently residing in Berlin. His release history dates back to 2006 with a steady output of house and techno and he spawned his Inland alias in 2012, kicking off his own Countercharge imprint with the Solstice EP. He also co-manages the Infrastructure label alongside Function, the pair having produced the 'Odeon/Rhyl' EP together as Function/Inland for the label's comeback release after a 9 year hiatus.Talking about his EP for Nonplus he explains;"This EP represents my current standpoint on 4/4 club music. Textural, crisp, fuller techno tracks with plenty going on beneath the surface. I made the tracks starting with a quite free, live-jam approach in the studio, laying down long recordings of synth parts, drums, and FX while working the mixer to create accents and peaks. Then I layered and edited everything afterwards, trying to maintain the essence of those live jams, letting the tracks find their own story. These are all long tracks designed to work in their entirety, but that can also be thrown in for 2 or 3 minutes in a fast paced set and make their mark."

Blinded By The Sun' see's Belfast born Phil Kieran create a ten-track narrative inspired from over a decade in the electronic dance scene. Jamie Jones was blown away by the early demos and signed the album to Hot Creations. The album is testament to Phil's talent and Jamie's keen ear for exceptional music. Phil is a talent to take note of, the album takes you on a twisty road of eclectic genres and doesn't disappoint. Light and dark go hand in hand, and with all things beautiful there is a darker side. In dance music that is often drug use and the hedonistic after parties that can easily switch and become tainted with regrets, addictions and lost dreams. The hauntingly beautiful vocal of 'Realities Forgotten' and increased intensity of 'I Can't Help Myself' nod to these lifestyle aspects, a spiralling swell in their rhythms. Five tracks in and hope emerges, as the second half introduces tracks such as 'Don't Give Up' and 'Let It Go Away', concluding in 'Find Love'

Looking back on a wide array of releases, it is safe to say that 2015 has been a great year for Dynamic Reflection. So it was only natural to set the aim even higher for 2016, beginning with the long awaited return of Abstract Division to their native imprint, by the release of their first ever double EP: Contemporary Spaces.
Always being credited as great storytellers in both their music and DJ-sets, exploring the format of a truly extended play seemed like a logical progression from Abstract Division's work until now. Not set out to be an album, but certainly being more than just an EP, Contemporary Spaces explores the current state of techno, providing the listener with wayward and timeless pieces drawing their inspiration from the broad spectrum of electronic music. Yet, while each individual track stands in its own place and time within this spectrum, the EP as a whole compliments the diversity of past, present and future influences and styles.
Contemporary Spaces is one of their most extensive and widely aimed projects to date and solely consists of original material. It is released as a limited double 12inch, pressed on lush white vinyl. A special piece of artwork with download codes giving access to the digital formats is included as a special bonus to early adopters.

The 50WEAPONSRMX10 EP let's Bambounou's heady minimal original 'Ignition' shine in new glamour.
Garnier, the pioneer of the French techno scene himself called Bambounou the official successor and now steps up to provide a lush dubby techhouse track that strictly aims at the big room to expand the accesibility of Bambounou's name to new territories. This track is a dancefloor guarantee for the clubs worldwide.
Cleverly the Garnier remix is met by French Fries' version of 'Ignition', an austere stunner of the minimalist approach so typical for the new french sound, which he and his best buddie Bambounou have made so popular in the last 2 years. The French Fries remix is a modern day answer to the seriousness of techno as an undergound vehicle in the early days of its existence, which is exactly the point of time Garnier made his first tracks.
The 2 remixes couldn't be more different and they couldn't fit together better, each on their own representing an important facette of the label's catalogue and 50WEAPONS' stunning ability to pair the sounds of now with the flavour of it's heritage.

First appearing as a free download via the deep web and now finally released on vinyl, 'Capsule's Pride' is the EP from the lauded up and coming Berlin-based Canadian producer Bwana; reimagining and paying homage to Katsuhiro Otomo's iconic 1988 anime masterpiece, Akira.
With all sonic elements sourced from the original film's OST - created by musical collective Geino Yamashirogumi () famed for their synergy of traditional Japanese folk music and Roland D-50 and Yamaha DX7-II digital synthesizers - Bwana conjures a hallucinogenic and twisted journey through Neo-Tokyo.

Holger #10 introduces yet another new face to the ever growing label crew: Chino has been one of the most busy live performers in Poland for the last decade - playing all-hardware sets in clubs and at festivals on a weekly basis. His »HISS« EP is a true Acid treasure and Holger's most decisive step into proper club territory. »Worker« and »Paper Rider« are two bass-heavy dancefloor belters, with strong kickdrums and synapse-tickling 303 lines. The flipside shows two more of Chino's many facets: While »31.08.« is a slow-burning Dubtechno hypnosis, »Shifter« closes the EP with moody Electro. Mastered by Ruud Lekx, also known as the legend that is Rude 66.

Sensation/Clear' was Phantasy's momentous fiftieth release, and the first studio transmission from Daniel Avery since his acclaimed LP, 'Drone Logic'. Now, both tracks are remixed in distinctive fashion by two fellow outliers on the fringes of psychedelic, experimental techno.
Acclaimed producer and Eaux Records mastermind Rrose commits a typically ambitious and sonically experimental redux to Sensation. While retaining much of the original's hypnotic, almost celestial groove, its atmospherics are transformed into something altogether more alien and overwhelming, culminating in an epic yet utterly earned conclusion of visceral noise.
Abdulla Rashim meanwhile guides the sound of 'Clear' into deeper territory still, engineering an initially unassuming remix that ultimately reveals layer upon layer of painstaking detail. Polyrhythmic bass lines interlock expertly from the beginning, gradually unfolding while never relenting.

The head of Grounded Theory Berlin returns to Sonic Groove with his strongest outing on the label to date. Henning Baer brings forth a rough and tough diverse four cut EP of chunky rhythmatic techno. Recording the songs during live jams and using a previously decided pool of hardware this EP has a nice old school vibe. The sound production however is very much in the modern day with it's well crafted mix downs. This release has strong mass appeal for the purist techno connoisseur.

Seventh step ! Octave is back on his own imprint with a big project that includes 13 original tracks, 10 straight and broken beat tracks all fitting good to dancefloors and 3 offbeat 100% analog experimental works.
This project is the result of a new studio and way of production, now including analog insruments and live recording. Discovering this fresh and so far unknown approach to music and Techno, being introduced to modular synthetizers world and getting more involved into experimental music gives Octave inspiration to go on new different paths and experiment new sounds and rythmics that give this series all of its interest, and an own identity. Another will with it is to target both body and mind, with solid Techno beats of course but with hypnotic moments and deep atmospheres as well.
Each part includes 4 original tracks and the project is splitted as three parts on three vinyls, with three delayed release dates.
A free experimental track will be available with the second part, on the label's Soundcloud.

Since the turn of the decade Token has by and large been an exclusive platform for the music of Inigo Kennedy, Phase and Ctrls. The Belgian label has, however, remained on point by putting out formidable productions by Rich Oddie & Ancient Methods' Eschaton project, German powerhouse R¢dhåd and Spanish heavy weights Oscar Mulero and Christian Wünsch as Spherical Coordinates, to some intercontinental fare by Xhin and Go Hiyama. Token, an iron clad operation continuously manufacturing unyielding techno, has always, deep within its impenetrable shell, had a soft spot for British techno. And following a reissue of Mark Broom's "Two", maintaining the glacial release rate of Rodz-Konez legend Makaton, and welcoming Surgeon to its fold with the thunderous Fixed Action Pattern 12", the Belgian label seeks out some fresh UK blood by inviting James Shaw, aka Sigha, to debut on the label with a stylistically sleek and suitably booming 12", Our Father / A Better Way Of Living.
On equal part, Sigha's Token debut chalks up another milestone for the Berlin-based Englishman, not only because his name is now up there with the likes of the aforementioned, but Our Father / A Better Way Of Living provides Sigha with his first release away from a label that Shaw's not intrinsically related to. Prior to this it's been Scuba's Hotflush, Shifted's Avian, James Ruskin's Blueprint and Shaw's own Our Circula Sound that have unleashed his productions, and Sigha now steps up to deliver Token a linear 12" full of cosmic flavour and warehouse attitudes that judiciously falls between the sonic aesthetics of Inigo Kennedy's twinkling melancholia and the interlocking kick drums and basslines of Phase. And there's no doubting that both Token and Sigha are better for it.

Index Marcel Fengler unearths another Berlin-forged gem with a debut release for Somewhen. Following an impressive pair of EPs on his own Sana imprint, label boss Marcel Fengler was quick to invite the newcomer to the IMF family. A cut 'Dain' is a stripped down techno trip engineered for dancefloors at dawn: a siren call to the club's most battle hardened heads, its subtle machinations will prove deadly in the right DJ's hands. Over on the B-side, 'Aula' is the EP's more unpredictable beast, its rougher rave edges rounded off by a rich bass synth and enigmatic vox pads that give the track an unsettling air as it nears its conclusion. XJ closes the EP with an insistent slice of acid with Somewhen's own playful modern twist.

Nietzsche once said: I would only believe in a God who could dance'. The 2nd The Gods Planet LP, simply titled LP2, is ample proof that you can trust in Claudio PRC and Ness to make you dance. Built upon pieces of music purposely made for a live presentation at Paris´ well-regarded Concrete club, it sees the Italian duo of techno producers applying a willingness for inner and outer discovery, and a more human outlook to the brand of thoughtful, detailed, yet emotional and powerful productions, which they have built their name upon. New machines, techniques and skills are dexterously applied to the foundations displayed on the 1st album, from 2013, making it more direct and overtly danceable, not as experimental but certainly as explorative as before. It is the sound of two artists further more at ease with their standing in the scene, taking stock of their surroundings, before further ventures into the unknown, but still as interested and skilled as ever in telling stories. And what´s presented here is a compelling story of self-discovery woven into Claudio and Ness´s vision of techno and house music.
Upon landing and first reconnaissance, we realize that we are now placed in a more welcoming and elemental environment than on previous works. Further exploration of our settings leads us through a winding maze where as yet undefined and sometimes unknown or barely remembered feelings reveal themselves slowly as every corner is turned. There is a sense of self-questioning that is enlightened by the witnessing of the first dawn on this new land. The landscape reveals itself to be dream-like and filled with movement, at times mechanical as the inner workings of a precise clock, every detail vividly painting itself into our brains and touching our inner core. There is a feeling of elation as the listener is lifted in ascension and expands his vistas and new horizons become clearer. We realize this is, in fact, our personal inner world. Light gives way to shadow and furtive figures drift in and out of focus, some of them familiar, others more alien, as night falls. A glimpse of a distant beacon is caught in the corner of the eye, fed by an electric and ecstatic undercurrent that now traverses our Self and propels us further ahead in travel, and another twisted chapter of our journey ensues. Colors blur in a whirlwind of motion and emotion, a fast moving shadow attracts the eye and seduces us into following it and it is apparent that a breakthrough is now upon us. A communal celebration is held in a wide open field where ghosts of an unforgettable past sway, swirl and melt into personifications of the present and visions of a brighter future. It is like a time machine where all frontiers, physical and mental, become blurred to the point of losing all meaning. It is a new dawn, the dawn of a new Golden Age built upon the nostalgia of a lost, more carefree youth, wisps of sounds and impacts of rhythm enveloping us as we dance the hours away and they fuse into an timeless feeling of communion and togetherness. The revelation of The Gods Planet is complete. Each of us is it´s own planet, a world unto itself, and like every world, it´s gravity and context cannot exist without that of other worlds around it. This album is the way in which The Gods Planet reaches out through sound emissions, to the other worlds that make it what is is. Beholding what has been, what is, and what will be, Claudio PRC and Ness have made us believers and are now ready to venture beyond and give new worlds to our own world.

The Noisemaker debuts on Natch LTD series with State of Matter Ep, a deep, dense four tracker driven by groovy and propulsive rhythms. State 1 begins its path from the depth, a virtual paranoid entity excavates its way down to the lower grounds. State 2 is a restless groove, a compound of impetuous drums and ear itching interferences. A texturized whirlwind of broken beats and acid trips get involved in State 3, giving the Bside a ritualistic vibe, that closes with costantly detuned melodies in State 4, final cut where stomping percussions throw up an obsessive synthline. Effective and sharp release from the italian noisemaker, delivering a great package of sonic burners.

Following Tripeo's acclaimed debut album 'Anipintiros', the artist asked a few of his friends to reinterpret his release. It resulted in 2 reworked EP's from his contributors, all of whom are from an all star techno line up. On part 1 we explore the headier interpretations.
James Ruskin's rework recalls memories of early UK rave culture and early work by legendary label Warp. Exium couldn't choose a favorite, so decided to mash up 'Ani' #5 and #8 into a whirlwind of industrial funk and sound design. Closing the first EP is Mike Parker, unleashing his signature hypnotic drones onto the acidic monster that is 'Anipintiros' #7.

Though Ronde Music is a label gathering producers from various horizons, might it be ambient, noise, experimental or lectroacoustic, they all have a common creed : the loop. Jo created this locked groove label just one year ago, spreading extensively the sensitive patterns of artists such as Vadim Svoboda, Sharp, Antigone, Edith Progue, Dscrd and Cédric Pigot & Jow. A single 1 loop bar is to be repeated until harmonies free themselves, patterns are then stretching to the point where they merge into a psychoacoustic phenomenon. "Wouldn't it be
nice to have this dance last forever " Ronde Music asks all of those who haven't yet joined the round.

- A1: Krakdup
- A2: Where Are We
A key member of the Minus family for almost a decade, Jon Gaiser is to release his lead single 'Krakdup' preceding his full length release 'False Light' in November. Since 2005, Gaiser has been at the heart of the minimal techno movement. His hugely atmospheric EPs and LPs have always explored the darker, more stripped back and abstract edges of the dancefloor and have often done so in conjunction with immersive and complimentary live visuals. Says Gaiser of his working methods: 'I've always been a big fan of analog gear, both old and new. I'm also a big fan of new digital technologies that create sounds that have never been heard before. I prefer to have the best of both analog and digital worlds working together, to make the most creatively flexible production environment as possible.' As well as working as VOID, Gaiser is also a revered live performer who creates immersive on-the-fly soundscapes using Ableton MIDI controllers and Maschine, and regularly performs at some of the world's best festivals and club nights, including Hawtin's own ENTER. nights at Space Ibiza. A trained percussionist and sometime punk rock drummer, around the age of 15 Gaiser discovered the underground techno scene in Detroit and 'was completely intrigued by the energy of the music' and so began collecting drum machines, synthesizers and FX units to build a studio in his teens. Before long he impressed techno innovator Richie Hawtin, was signed to Minus and soon began releasing on the seminal label. Playing in Europe so often meant the natural thing for him to do was to move to Berlin, and it is from there that his sound has flourished. An extensive tour is planned to support the album, featuring a brand new visual show, created by accomplished Turkish artist and director Ahmet Said Kaplan. The 'Tape Jam EP' is Patrick Vano's fourth release on Berlin-based label Mo's Ferry. The A side 'Rhythm Disease' crackles and rumbles in this typical sound Mo's Ferry is known for. 'Drone Shadows' on the flip is much quiter and Vano plays the Techno bow in wide and flowing moves - best suitable for the later party hours. With the bonus track 'Controlled Curves' Patrick Vano returns to the dance floor - even more focused and driven with its sawing lead bass.

Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint is a label that should require no introduction. The motor city label has been a Techno mainstay since it's inception in 1987.
Numerous Detroit luminaries have released classic after classic on the labels hallowed grooves over the last 25+ years and it's influence is still felt in contemporary dance music today. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime. Kicking off EP 001 are Intercity, a collaborative effort between Saunderson, Derrick May and James "Suburban Knight" Pennington. "Groovin without doubt" is the track featured and is typical of the stripped back machine funk that would emanate from Detroit in the coming decades, originally released in 1987 the track still sounds killer on today's dancefloors! Following is the legendary Stacey Pullen aka Cosmic Messenger with his deep, melodic "Soundscape (Intricate mix)", released in 1993 on KMS offshoot label Eclipse the track pushes a supremely futuristic edge that showcases Pullen's prowess as a producer who is often unfairly underrated. Still sounding like it's from another planet "Soundscape" continues to excite and remain contemporary. Side B begins with some classic KMS breakbeat / Rave stylings from Master Reese himself, "You're Mine" is a sample heavy cut n paste monster from 1990, the "original mix" is featured here and still sounds like it weighs a ton, drop this one on a big system and watch the crowd lose it. Often imitated, never bettered! Rounding out the EP we have E-Dancer's "Pump the move", a stripped back, almost tribalish jam from 1991. This is some direct, heads down, dark dancefloor material, driving drums and synth stabs are woven through loose drum programming to create a "runaway train" feeling. Definitely one for the peak time dancefloors! "Origins" 001 will appeal to those who are new to KMS and will serve as the perfect entry point, it will also appeal to the diehard fans who dig that hardcore Detroit sound!

Insistent drum machines, resonant synths, phased 'n fuzzed guitar mayhem, the lone magus at play in the studio: there are musical and methodological antecedents for the work of Wicked Witch, but spot-the-influence is a worthless pursuit, crumbling under the relentless focus of the four WW tracks here. For his second release on EM Records, Washington D.C.'s Richard Simms gives us three previously unreleased tracks from his single-mindedly all-encompassing world, plus his own remix of one track. The second disc of this double 12 inch 45 RPM release features remixes/reconstructions by German musician DJ Slyngshot and the Osaka duo YYPYY, which comprises Goat's Koshiro Hino and renowned DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu. This second disc by turns emphasizes and destabilizes the relentless rhythm and visionary filigree of the Wicked Witch disc. Get ready to be enchanted by the spell of the Wicked Witch

Rolling out the circuits between hot sizzeling Hi-Tech Funk, slamming Dub-Tech/Half-Step and subdued four/four Techno/Acid, label head Claus Bachor keeps you guessing with the original demo track and four huge remixes by Terrence Dixon, Elec Pt.1, Lockertmatik / Kryptic Universe of scratched surfaces, deep determination, kicks, clangs, cuts, medieval water torture and exquisite elocution. There's a calming force tapping out from Cologne's Psycho Thrill BNKR underground Techno faucet, and "Deep Down Inside" is a crowning example. The first vinyls of this final fished copy series (ltd. 300) went into hand-out during the past "Movement" dayz in Detroit via Detroit Threads and Submerge (Local3000 UR). There will be no repress!

A1 Psycho Thrill recordings label boss Claus Bachor turns out a DubTechno/Half-Step hybrid that roars like wildfire. The flavor on the "DeepDownInside" original mix is a combination of initial cutting edged breaks and 4/4beats for Dub-Techno bobbers that turn into sheer bangin Techno on par with the rest of the remix work here, consisting of pummeling 4/4-floor and rudimentary builds that end with all the pots maxed out.
A2 Like a magician's forest at nightfall, Terrence Dixon's "Detroit After Dark" work-out scores the future fairy tale with the beautiful sorcery and strange spells of the minimal techno quest. So this remix comes as a kinked-up tickler, that gets linked to experimental motor city atmospherics in a serious Population One vein, and the result is - not more or less - an abstract perfection of so called late nite electronic body music.
A3 This remix by Dresden's Techno Bass master Stephan Schindler aka Kryptic Universe (also know as Lockertmatik/ The Isolator) in a typical classic 90s Techno rooted, Acid style as its finest that turns every nitedrive perfectly into a wonderfully twisted night out.
B1 Elec Pt.1's (Andreas Gehm / The Manager _ R.I.P. brother!) remix is a fuming and slamming renovation as well. Gehm takes "DeepDownInside" to another level with his belting, "fucks-u-deeper" climax that provides finally gushing 303-good times. Don't sleep on this, this re-work makes no prisoners.
B2 Dresden's Hi-Tech Funk protagonist Stephan Schindler (Kryptic Universe/ The Isolator/ Lockertmatik) does it again here seriously with his "KUX351" interpretation in an acidic mesmerizing and UR rooted, classic Hi-Tech Funk/Techno Bass style that get's even stronger with its athletic exhibition of perpetual electro-motion and should keep every audience interested.

Following a year hiatus, Hottrax returns to make serious impact with 'Eno Minimal' from U.S. native DMS12. Veteran techno producer The Model is also onboard to remix delivering a high energy cut of futuristic electronica.
Label boss Jamie Jones rediscovered the original track explaining 'I had it in a playlist in 2015 for ages and finally dropped it in my all night long session with Seth Troxler at The Warehouse Project. The place went crazy and Seth asked me 'what the f**k is this" I've since played it on some huge stages and it's insane, no matter where I am it grabs people and slaps them into space.'
DMS12 is a DJ and producer from New York. The Model is a DJ and producer from Romania, founder and owner of the label Adult Central.

Project STS-31-Spiralgalaxie (Hubble Telescope Series Vol.3) A clash of the Titans! Celebrating Solar One Music's 40th release and 10th anniverary, this split LP sees two stars under various disguises, Heinrich Mueller (aka Der Zyklus and various other projects) and German producer Robert Witschakowski aka The Exaltics, back to back in a no return odyssey through the depths of the Galaxy. Expect nothing but contemplative and cosmic electro beats using original outer-space sounds from the Universe. Closing the Hubble telescope trilogy which brought to you Luxus Varta and more recently E.R.P. (respectively with the "Everything Is Nothing" and "Ancient Light" EP's), trippy "Spiralgalaxie" will mark a new step in SOM's History. As usual, the final chapter of the series dedicated solely to Hubble and all the great scientists and engineers at the NASA and ESA, comes with a beautiful cover print picture taken by the Space Telescope.

Karen Gwyer joins DBA for an exercise in futurist dancefloor electronics after a recent outing on Alien Jams alongside Beatrice Dillon and last year's barnstorming Nous release. The US-born Londoner brings the sound of her stomping, analogue live performances closer to the psychedelic, thickly melodic tone of her studio compositions across three tracks, with Prophase Metaphase Anaphase Telophase an obvious choice for DJs.
Following early feet-finding, yet highly acclaimed releases on Patten's Kaleidoscope label and No Pain In Pop, Gwyer has gone on to solidify her place in the quasi-underground techno scene with more acclaimed recordings on labels such as Nous Disques, Alien Jams andOpal Tapes, for which she toured twice. She has also produced remixes for the likes of Nous, Warp, Software and Public Information, and created a number of commissioned pieces for Open Music Archive.

In the CAST tradition, includes 4 far reaching artist signature tracks from Knobs, Myler, Skanfrom, and Tunnel.
// Knobs appears on CAST with a progressive and bouncy, techno creation. Knobs ability to create an absolute groove, combined with both organic and inorganic sounds, ensures the listener will be on their feet for the piece's entirety. This CAST comes highly recommended for an open air venue.
// Myler delivers a stepping broken beat piece for his CAST. Myler takes influence from hardstep and expertly crafts it into a cutting edge noise and dub influenced crowd pleaser. This CAST provides a warm and comfortable vibe for the modern day music listener.
// Skanfrom presents with his CAST a timeless piece. This CAST blurs the fine line of gritty hard hitting industrial techno with light overtones and sequences similar to an electronic lullaby. This fusion gives space for the listener to both dance and depart to a headspace simultaneously.
// Tunnel delivers a state of the art composition for his CAST. This musical piece is more so reminiscent of IDM, but completely unique to its own style. Deep broken rhythms accompanied by detuned harmonic scales, glitch and euphoric atmospheres take the listener to another..

Unfeasibly tight, cultishly adored Aussie post-punk trio, My Disco take a proper pasting from Regis and Lustmord in stupendous remixes of Our Decade and 1991 from their Severe (2015) LP for Temporary Residence; the latest in a string of killers from Downwards in 2016 including EPs from JK Flesh, Simon Shreeve, and Dva Damas.
Hammering motorik rhythms with mathematic precision since 2003, My Disco arguably broached a wider consciousness with their 3rd LP, Little Joy for Temporary Residence in 2010. The group's 4th LP Severe was issued to underground acclaim in 2015, providing a shocking reminder of the trio's minimalist tension and vitality, and bearing strong material that well warrants these killer remixes from Regis and Lustmord.
Taking on Our Decade, Regis masterfully eviscerates the original's drawling gothic vox in favour of white hot sheets of processed, coruscating guitar whilst the groove is brought right upfront with a clattering swagger that's gagging for the dance.
On the flip, Lustmord isn't up for playing around with his take on 1991, submitting a gravely greyscale and super wide overhaul perfused with curdled vocals and stark drums like something out of a Scott Walker storyboard.
It's hard to deny that these are remarkable pieces of work, rendering Lustmord's best outing since The Word As Power at the very least, and quite possibly a strong hint of where Regis is headed on his long-rumoured LP for Blackest Ever Black.

Some of you might know him for his very successfull releases on Figure records. It has been a great experience meeting this young and passionate French producer, he handed me many demos, and i have to say it was difficult to choose as so many of them sounded very promising. I hope this first 12' will be the beginning of a long collaboration with Romain. Opening Moment EP features four Underground Techno jams that i hope you will enjoy as much as i do!
Lunacy is an intense Underground Techno builder. While AAD has this sort of never ending groove that i love. Black Orchid (features on my mix CD for the French magazine Tsugi that is out now, and was also just played by Carl Craig in Paris at Cabaret Sauvage on May 3rd, with such an amazing crowd reaction!!!).
Lord is a great hypnotic jam that keeps evolving through the track.

Originally Released on Echocord on 27 August 2012. Transcendent Records finally releases this much wanted ambient techno album by Conforce aka Silent Harbour, completely remastered for vinyl. Boris Bunnik expresses "music for an imaginary deep mental abstract excursion" under the Silent Harbour moniker for Transcendent/Echocord. As his multifarious operations have shown, Boris is a dab hand in the studio, and Silent Harbour is the place to find those machine emissions which would never quite reach the 'floor. Operating on the cusp of ambient Techno and electro-acoustic music, he shapes sheer scapes from elemental source material, rendering his sounds diffuse until we glimpse hallucinatory tones in the gloaming dissonance. 4/4 anchored rhythms are fractured, percussions sent to scout the perimeters while the vast space between becomes playground to radiant metallic timbres and strafing electronic apparitions. Music for Techno heads to fall into when the kicks are too much. White vinyl 2x12", limited to 300 copies!

LA based DJ/Producer Trent Cantrelle is one of those rare artists who manages to have a foot planted in both the mainstream and underground camps of electronic music. Whilst his music has topped the download charts on a variety of labels and he has rocked the main stages at global music festivals, he is also firmly at home rocking the secret warehouse parties of his adopted home town.
Trent's MOOD debut features two new originals that meld his trademark clean techy touches with rough, nasty and rolling grooves. Android Bordello', the title track, is a Sci-Fi techno soundtrack for the craziest of dancefloor drones. Out Of Line' on the flip matches mechanic and organic as the scything lazer shots and towering synth riffs are met with echoing tabla's and a beautiful vocaled breakdown. Epic stuff from Cantrelle and an impressive first outing for MOOD.

The Stealth triple vinyl series presents six tracks taken from Peter Van Hoesen's 'Stealth' mix compilation. The same philosophy is carried across: it marries Peter's music with the sounds he is influenced by. The result is a powerful selection of vibrant techno, with a warm, almost spiritual, feel to it. Chris Madak (aka Bee Mask) epitomizes the dissolution of distinctions between music for the mind and the body. His stunning live performance of 'Headband' at the 2014 Labyrinth festival left Van Hoesen dazed and enthralled. This was the origin of the remix found here, which perfectly conveys the themes of 'Stealth'. The remix is complemented by one of Van Hoesen's own productions, the epic 'Breach'.

Flexxseal is a New Orleans/Berlin based house and techno label. It serves as a platform for founder Christopher Joseph to release his own music as well as that of other artists.
Removed from the electronic music centers of the world, but all the while immersed in a city rich with musical and cultural history, Christopher Joseph was gifted the opportunity of exposing a growing movement of forward-thinking electronic music to a thirsty audience ready to embrace something new.
Christopher has shown that one of the benefits of living in New Orleans has been the ability to draw influences from the unique surroundings, both physical and musical, and to bring these ideas to the most exciting electronic music cauldron of the world, Berlin.
Christopher Joseph's debut EP 'When You See Me Again' brings two dark, club-ready tracks that take the listener on a auditory journey through the ego. 'When You See Me Again' is alive with hard-hitting warehouse techno sensibilities, whilst 'Mariana' is a rumbling euphoria-infused night-drive.
Available primarily on hand-stamped 12' vinyl, with general digital release coming later.

Senida, Strobelight's second release, is a reprisal by the well seasoned and acclaimed producer Ruxpin under the alias Den Nard Husher and is his first ep under the alias since his 1999 2x12 "Nard's Groove" on Thule. The diverse selections of this ep are thunderous yet warm and emotive and illustrate the styles on the NY based label Strobelight Network.

The second installment of Almost There series is signed by Edanticonf and starts with a six minute ambient journey dedicated to the memory of Max_M. A luminescent constellation where bleeps an
sweet arpeggios saturate the atmosphere.
The other two tracks presented on this Ep describe the
typical sound of the italian producer: mellow grooves, organic melodies, slow progression and smooth hypnotic dynamics realized using a full analog setup.

The first full length original project from THE INSANE BLACK MAN since his 2005 massive hits. The sounds on this project are not for the weak or the normal minds just the sick & sonically perverted. A demented sonic painting of rhythmic cubism & synth impressionism. Performed live in Chicago. HOUSE TECHNO

(First pressing on coloured vinyl) remastered reissue of Microworld's classic debut ep on Transmat.
Earlier this year we released a Microworld EP with three brand new tracks. In 1999 his debut came out on Derrick May's Transmat label. In hindsight, the sound could have been better - nobody's debut EP is perfect - so we decided to remaster both tracks from DAT, and present them to you on this reissue. A timeless piece of Detroit techno history, made in Australia :-) First pressing on coloured vinyl.

The 3rd release by Mutewax, Various Artsts 03, shows no signs of letting up.
Normally playing live, Lyon-based Pascal Roeder smoothes out the rough edges with gentle yet subversive rhythms in '101,' a posh production that hints at what's to come on his next Mutewax EP.
Mutecell's 'Vimana', like the word itself, embodies multiple meanings at once - the track's inherent mystery oscillates between emotion and intellect, ancient and modern, serene stillness and a bold drive into the unknown.
Relocating from Denver to Berlin, Chad Kaska, AKA Daegon, reinvents himself on his first vinyl release, 'Double Speak.' The energetic track fights its way forward, advancing steadily against an antithetical undercurrent, finally assimilating it into its double-crossing rhythm.
The founder of 'Hide & Seek' in Berlin, Denise Rabe hits hard out of the gate with her first vinyl track, 'Loaded.' Building up energy, the track finally detonates and expands in phrenic waves across the dance floor.

Péché Mignon Records is a french based House/techno label founded in October 2013 by Ludwig Spatz and Lorenzo Lacchesi.
Bipède EP is Péché Mignon Records' eighth release, and the start of a whole new musical inspiration for the label. This EP is Pitport' first solo release, after releasing « Deeptique » a year ago alongside Lorenzo Lacchesi. Little prodigy « Pitport' » is without a doubt PMR's most inspiring and talented producer, and his live performances aren't to be proved anymore.
Bipède EP is a dive into Pit's universe : from aerial, chill out music such as « Take Off », to dark and raw techno such as « BIpède » or « Sylvian Fissure » . He also experimented electro-acoustic / concrete music with the latest track « Acousmatique ».
Pitport' is already working on a new release, and new members just recently joined us. Feel free to check our Facebook Page for gigs, new releases and performances from our street artists «

Everyone knows of course that the main driving force behind the label PRAXXIZ is one of Germanys earliest Techno supporters, innovators and ultimately icons Dr. Motte. Maybe fewer are aware of his love of and involvement with the various genres of Electronic Listening Music/Ambient Electronica. Dr. Motte was after all one of the founders of the Interference Festival, arguably one of the greatest gatherings of Electronic Musicians & DJ's to have occurred back then (mid 90's), and to be honest since then.
So it will come as no surprise that the newest release on Dr. Motte's PRAXXIZ, a collaboration between himself and Electronica guru Gabriel Le Mar expertly brings together elements of both ends of the Techno/Electronica spectrum, lovingly creating a fusion that may well be the strongest release yet on PRAXXIZ.
Fever sets the pole high, with a combination of sounds and programmed patterns that display both a sensitivity and an awareness of musical structure that enable clear crisp sparse rhythms to carry a sense of purpose & direction without meandering or resorting to less refined strategies. There is even a very tasty and beautifully placed break beat in there which captures exactly the vibe of that big sound of yesteryear, whilst achieving a here and now vibe from the track overall.
Tresor92 grooves along in an insistent Techno way, but again does not fall into the 'old fashioned' or 'heard that already' pitfalls so many of the thousands of new releases each month seem to willingly dive head first into, for all they are worth. The track builds from its initial strange opening melody that could be some kind of mutated grandfather clock. Slowly and surely, it sneaks up on the listener, evolving as it does into a hard and driving enough piano type chord driven groove. Again as in 'Fever', what makes the track so much more than just another well programmed Techno tune that if we are honest we heard already 1000 times, are the subtle polyrhythms, flourishes and various shades of musical awareness that create a constant feeling of change in the track.
Acidspray again scores top marks as it chugs out a heavy slow burner funked up rhythm, topped with subtle and always engaging Electronica style melodies and nuances. Add to that a refrain that sounds almost like a rave signal, but retains enough originality not to be pigeon holed, and a deep down in the mix twisting turning voice of sorts that further adds to the overall feeling of a funk groove that's friendly, but mildly menacing, and you have three out of three top tunes so far on this latest release from PRAXXIZ.
Zikade could have been a throwaway given the quality so far on this release, but instead it chooses to strive for the gold position. A very fine bringing together of dub, after hours groove, strings and funky house style bass lines. it builds from the first to the last note in a way that is neither overbearing nor ineffective or boring. Motte and Gabriel get it spot on. All the right bits in exactly the right places, perfectly timed for maximum effect. And a perfect way to bring this outstanding EP to a close. A very very fine release in deed, maybe their best yet, if the 'Fever EP' gives a hint of where the artists are heading, bring it on!

"I want them to hate me for putting this out" says Jackmaster Hater, referring to tracks once possessed by a mere handful of Chicago House DJs. These recordings, traded secretly on tape, were exclusive to the likes of Ron Hardy and Frankie Knuckles.
Here is the new compilation by Jerome Derradji with Kevin Starke, aka the infamous Jackmaster Hater and owner of Kstarke Records in Chicago. It is one of the sickest slice of Chicago House Music ever released.
This compilation features ultra rare and lost Chicago classics paired with a nice selection of newer tracks produced by Jackmaster Hater and his friends, all nicely laid out on a DCD and 2 DLPs. The DLPs come with a killer poster and the DCD features a booklet about Kstarke records and Kevin Starke and a few more surprises.
It includes rare tracks by Ron Hardy, James "Jack Rabbit" Martin, Terrence Woodard, Traxmen and many more.
This is the real sound of Chicago.

Ecstatic welcomes L/F/D/M to the fold with his debut record M Is A Shape.
L/F/D/M is London based producer Richard Smith.
L/F/D/M first emerged in 2013, inaugurating the Optimo Trax series with the Purple Maps EP.
In 2014 he teamed up with Factory Floor's Dominic Butler to release two EP's of hardware-driven atonal techno on Powell's Diagonal Records.
'M Is A Shape' bristles with cloudy, industrial, stripped down acid/techno, landing somewhere between Berghain, the warehouse sound of the late '90s and the caustic spirit of EBM.
Richard Smith:
- The title comes from a time when I was producing all these collages, abstracting a theme, trying to get it down to the perfect motif, the perfect shape that summed up exactly what I'm trying to get across and then just when I got there I kinda stepped back and was like, oh it's just a fucking M!
The same M that if I had looked at it a month before I would have perhaps only saw the letter and not the shape, that always interested me, the starting point at where you come to an image, one day something can just really catch you off guard.

Back at it again! Marshall Applewhite's first release of 2015 follows his 'Leave Earth' album, which dropped in December 2014. Since then, people have been asking, who is Marshall Applewhite and what is this new 'Sludge' sound coming out of Detroit It's raw, dark, measured... is it Techno Acid Electro
Decide for yourself with Marshall's new EP, 'Flying Objects', a collection of four tracks made up of two brand new compositions, one remix and one reworking that's available on vinyl for the first time.'Underwear Drawer (Yosucka Mix)' is an exclusive first play of a dancefloor smasher. A dark banger with haunting vocals and Marshall's distinctive Sludge groove, it's a 5am party classic.
'We Are Disease' comes next. In the same vein as 'Leave Earth' album tracks, 'Smash' and 'Majestic 12', this one's Electro-inspired. The banging 808 drums, the stabs, the vocoder vox reminiscent of 2001 Space Odyssey's Hal 9000, this is pure 808 bliss. 'UFOs On The Floor' is a dancefloor smasher featuring Bendii, with a stomping groove and recurring chant, this is pure Sludge. 'Leave With Us (YoSucka Mix)' was originally featured on the first release from Detroit's How To Kill label in 2013. With its haunting vocal and Techno backbone, it gathered support from the likes of Mike Huckaby, Paul Woolford, Derek Plaslaiko and Michael Servito. This is the sound of Sludge.

Right in time for the summer of 2014 Paul Kalkbrenner surprises us with a brand new remix album!
Eight years after his 2006 - Reworks' CD which showcased brillant remixes of that part of his career Paul Kalkbrenner presents - X' with reworks from his latest albums - Berlin Calling', - Icke wieder' and - Guten Tag'. The eleven tracks which are getting a lot of spotlight at the European underground scene since they got released as individual 12inch vinyls are finally out on CD/Digital Bundle on May 30th 2014. The selected crew of remixers is staffed by longtime personal friends and other related artists out of Paul Kalkbrenner's world of music. To keep it in the Kalkbrenner family his brother Fritz Kalkbrenner delivers excellent new vocals for - Kruppzeug's' transformation into a classic House track while Paul's wife Simina Grigoriu refines the Techno track - Kleines Bubu'. The French techno legend Vitalic presents his remix for the - Berlin Calling' classic - Altes Kamuffel' while "the dutch man of the moment 2014' Joris Voorn hands over his hit-tune deep house interpretation of - Jestrüpp'. The Berlin school of Techno & House gets represented by Format:B, Housemeister from the Boys Noize camp and the legendary Maertini Broes consisting of Mike Vamp and the E-Werk veteran DJ Clé. Also hailing from Berlin are Pan-Pot who have been 2013 world tour buddies with Paul Kalkbrenner. They deliver a well produced big room version of the 2011 hit single - Das Gezabel'. Impressive in a similar way is the Cab Driver's remix of - Globale Gehung' from the - Guten Tag' album. Another musical highlight is the Robag Wruhme remix for the massive tune - Sky & Sand' which is a complete new and unique approach to the - Berlin Calling' classic. The Mallorca based duo Pig & Dan rounds up this great Paul Kalkbrenner remix package with their tech-house production of the - Icke wieder' opening track - Böxig Leise'.

Soft bangers and beatless movements from Brooklyn based producer UMFANG, following up last years 1080p released cassette 'Ok' with the five track 'Riffs' 12'.
This vinyl debut finds her tripping on ambient and rediscovering the Microkorg that she tried to sell but started experimenting with again. These five vivid tracks are a logical progression from the previous polyrhythmic techno—footwork thoughts, avoiding 4/4 and textured with imagery, simple melodies and landscape invoking sensations.

Having made his Ovum debut alongside Michael Penman on the hugly popular 'Shimmer' EP back in 2013, Berlin's US born resident Ambivalent returns to the label, flying solo, with his fantastic new double-header 'Phase Doubt'. A decade of making music has seen Ambivalent showcase his work on a envious list of labels from Minus to Mobilee, Cocoon to Clink and many more. Always looking to evolve, 2012 saw new faces and sounds from the American in the form of the housier Amber and the techno-tangent of LA-4A, both backed by the launch of his new vinyl imprint Valence. A busy, inspiring and impressively productive period. The Phase Doubt EP is his most recent creation and again sees Ambivalent avoid tiring techno templates to inspire with the latin rhythms and uplifting melodies of the title track. Dancing synth riffs, pulsing chords and scattered, rapid, snares all come together to create an exotic and heady opening number. On the flip, Selfed Out is built around its epic lead synth that both creates and dominates the outrageous groove and drive of the track. Stunning.

Sukhumvit Records' debut release comes from one of London's shining stars. Archie Hamilton has firmly established himself as one of the city's most sought-after artists; this year having been a very strong one, with release after release consistently hitting #1 spots.
On the A Side, 'Troublemaker' is a rugged and shameless bomb. The driving bass and unmistakable hook have been tearing up dance floors across DC10, FUSE, Weather Festival, Awakenings and many others all summer.
'The Universe' on the flip is a more heady affair. With a driving rhythm track, trippy vocal and and ethereal pad; a tried and tested moment-maker. Burgeoning Mannheim talent Fabe completes the package with a very strong remix, toughening up the the original, making the groove his own with his signature bass and shuffle.
There's trouble brewing in the universe...

Arttu presents CYBLO!
The Berlin-based producer is kicking off his label with a four-track single.
While he is perhaps not as name-checked as some of the hardware hawking house heads of modern times, Arttu Snellman has been working hard at gritty box jams for a good few years now. He first appeared under his Arttu guise in 2011 with the Nuclear Funk and Fear Diluted singles on Royal Oak and Philpot respectively, and then proceeded to wheel out tunes for 4 Lux and Chiwax over the ensuing years. Prior to the tough-edged pump of his current ventures, you could find Snellman indulging in a more laptop-centric kind of practice under the name Lump. This more minimalistic, glitchy house fodder could be found on labels such as Karloff, Morris/Audio and Süd Electronic amongst many others. Back in the here and now though, Arttu was last spotted on Clone Jack For Daze earlier this year with the Rave Dogz 12', and next up he's taking matters into his own hands.
Existing fans of Arttu will be more than pleased with the heavyweight, crunchy tackle that inhabits CYBLO01. This is dynamic business with same heft found on previous releases from Snellman, mixed in with the cheeky flair that has always marked his productions out in a crowded marketplace.

Käse Kool's fourth vinyl release comes from no other than the Breslau-based producer, Jacob B. A relatively new face to the scene, Jacob B has emerged rather quickly and is building quite the foundation around his name. The Breslau Cuts Ep delivers nothing short of powerhouse techno that brings a raw energy of its own to any dance floor. This heavy piece of wax should not be take lightly by any means--blessing you 4 tracks that will undeniably go off when played. A1, entitled The Weapon, is a pushy tune driven by sheer 909 rawness and that legendary DX7 bass we have come to love on many of Jacob's tracks. A2, appropriately titled "From the Underground (JMF's Fatty Rub), remixed by the English producer, JMF. Keeping up with the energy of this release, A2 brings a tech-like jack vibe to the table. B1, entitled From The Underground, is the original mix from which JMF reworked on side A. This track brings a tougher, darker vibe to the mix with a strong bass and steady pumping 909 riffs. B2, Warehouse Stomp, doesn't fall shy of its name. This tune is as ruff n' tuff as they come, from start to finish this track will keep the energy high and leave its listeners hungry for more.

Jake Conlon - Black Heath Works
Chugging, battering kicks settle the melodic three note loop and form a solid bottom end. Star of the show is the frantic, high pitched chime and marauding, fizzing distortion fit to mangle the head. Tinges of acid and delay tease out the overtones and harmonics, filtered tighter and tighter and finally released, letting the groove play on, relentless and slowly morphing back to the original pattern.
Jake Conlon - Brick House
Shades of Detroit in the intro, echoing, filtered percussion and a suggestion of the baseline to come. Heavy kicks and layered breakbeat obscure none of the soul, accenting and powering up the notes. Infectious percussion and glitchy melody fades in and out, setting the vibe and keeping interest high. You chase the focus, the second notes backed by a subtle, sparkling echo, was that an intake of breath
Hoth System - Motion Detector
An extraordinary percussive workout. Chattering, accented snares lead into a sparse industrial arrangement with a skipping hat keeping the pace up high. A refreshing high bass note and a perfectly restrained sub keeps pace with the pummelling kicks throughout. A track where small changes have huge impact, complexity and intelligence emerging from what at first seems simple.
Hoth System - Within an Inch
The name says it all - the track is pinned to the floor by the monstrous kick and heavy, low bass bleeps. The melodic pattern has an echo of rolling birdsong, but it's a mutant alien form unseen by human eyes, building and morphing into an acid-tinged monster. Production is astounding - each part is clear as a bell with space to spare in the mix - while incisive percussion works front and centre, marking out the phrases, accenting the breaks, winding the tension taught as a tripwire.

The name Kamran Sadeghi and the sounds created by him have been present in the ether for quite some time. As Son of Rose and with the Soundwalk Collective, Kamran has shared the stage with Patty Smith, worked with Morton Subotnik, designed sounds for Jean-Luc Godard. This 12" offers two of his productions created for the dancefloor playful, hypnotic, poetic and introspective.

Contemplative, but never melancholic, rather with a positive mood, the tracks diffuse an overwhelming lightness and radiate a lighthearted happiness, which are manifested on an incredibly emotional and spiritual level With the simple and classic black and white artwork the two Releases from Sahraoui balance each
other like Yin und and Yang. The second part of the Eternal Life EP has a very different background than the first EP. It is the white Yang of these two natural opposites, contrary forces that are interconnected and interdependent. The Record is significantly calmer, less clubby and references the
beginnings of the Detroit Sound. - I wanted to give it more spirituality, musicality and roots with the choice of the sounds. Going back in the past and transcribe everything with visionary fusions, Sahraoui explained. The songs were created in his studio at his new residence in Valencia, Spain. His
visit to Detroit In 2014 was the inspiration for these Tracks. Similarly to the first part of Sahraouis's Release, the current Release displays typical elements from Detroit's classic sound. Finely Intricately and wonderfully worked orchestrated sequences and string sounds take the audience on a voyage through space. Thanks to the songwriting's depth of the songwriting, the tracks don't lose contact with the ground. With their production and arrangement, the are full of very detailed and carefully crafted.

Trani has been representing the Detroit sound in Italy for some years now, with releases on Minimal Soul Recordings, as well as his own Pushmaster Discs (a label that has also hosted the likes of Ilario Alicante, Myles Sergé and Percyl). His latest outing will be his first full-length, an album inspired space travel, that continues to push Detroit sounds, as well as venturing into some jungle rhythms.

Classic Model 500 doublepack re-mastered and repressed with new artwork. Originally released in 1994 'Sonic Sunset' runs at over 50 minutes over five tracks that explore ambient electronica, techno and even trance. It includes the long versions of 'Neptune' and 'I Wanna Be There' two bonafide Model 500 classics. Recorded in Berlin and engineered by Maurice Von Oswald, this has been re-mastered for 2014 by Matt Colton. The new artwork is from an original piece hand painted, acrylic on hardwood by Mark Warrington.

Dusky's 17 Steps present Floor To Floor. Featuring tracks from Velvit, Trevino, Lo Shea, Hugo Massein and Alan Fitzpatrick, Floor To Floor compiles 12 tracks that approach the modern house and techno aesthetic with a UK edge.
Joining the dots between electronica-leaning sounds, melodic house and warm-up grooves to moody techno, looping tech house tools and broken beats, Floor To Floor represents a snapshot of current UK House and Techno sound worlds - all heavily road tested in Dusky's DJ sets. Carefully compiled over a 12 month period, each track combines artistic individuality with dancefloor utility.
A statement of intent for 17 Steps future dancefloor visions, Floor To Floor journeys from the dark, brooding atmospherics of Velvit's 'Looking Glass' and Dusky's own stripped back 'Mount Belzoni to the quirky warehouse techno of Christian Piers' 'Tooth Decay' and Trevino's militant 'Ojak'.

Transit03 comes courtesy of Sheffield techno don, Lo Shea, with a crunching Kowton remix to boot.A driving force behind the burgeoning Sheffield house and techno scene, Hope Works curator, promoter, and resident DJ, Lo Shea has fused his years of musical experience with a myriad of influences from throughout the city to create a unique sound. Following on from his offerings on Secret Sundaze offshoot label SZE, and Never Learnt in 2015, this 12" for transit sees him exploring a darker, more immersive brand of techno for his 'Oxygen Lance' EP.
With his recent foray into more melodic territory in his 'Glock And Roll' EP for Whities, Kowton brings more of the same in his crunching interpretation of B-side 'Root Causes', continuing the evolution of his signature UK-bass influenced sound. Sleeve artwork by Alex Sullivan.

Often the music leaves a lasting impression, which is why Massimo Cassini and Philip Arruda decided to create this ep "like a bruise."
The sounds are chosen to create a long wave, which slowly rises to engage you fully.
Inside, two remixes ...
Hermanez (KlingKlong, Noir, Suara) that turned the track, creating a more acid and where "after the brak" leaves all "dumbs" !
Samul.l (Infuse, One Records, Suruba X) has created, with its unmistakable touch, a powerful and rhythmic version, perfect to flip the people!

Kouhei Matsunaga's 2nd album as NHK — his label debut for Diagonal — is a pixel-pill gobbling, seesawing wave of techno emotions presenting the Japanese artist at his most rugged and
damaged. After recent LPs from Not Waving, Elon Katz and Russel Haswell, Diagonal now excel in drawing out powerful album statements from some of the most distinctive musicians in
contemporary electronic music.
As bonkers as the narwhal-cavorting-with-a-rhino artwork, Doom Steppy Reverb is the skizzo brother of new beta, a 3D spec'd rally thru some of NHK's darkest, most driven material, done with
a gangster swang in deft minor key arrangements that hint at a certain rudeboy vulnerability.
Its seven tracks toe a fine line between novel and nasty, sidewinding from warehouse acid to brukkin' garage techno by the brutal close of 1073+snare, or basic channelling Autech/Reichian chords with sole-melting synth juice in Y, only to unexpectedly turn out a baroque scally bubble, Zomby style, with 1082_s.
Make no mistake, it's a record full of club bangers, though: L gets on Lory D levels of neo acid house squirm and 1083_lo_oct will demolish a big room at the right time thanks to some properly toned subbass, adding a new weapon to Diagonal's arsenal of world-scattered radge packets. It's proper fuel for DJs, dancers and headphone excursionists — and the artwork makes it just a good ol' laugh to look at.
This is NHK's best work — and demands to be felt.

after a break of 5 years, alva noto continues his xerrox series with »xerrox vol. 3«, entitled towards
space', a journey that started with »xerrox vol. 1«, referring to the old world', and »xerrox vol. 2«,
heading to the new world'.
using the process of copying as a basis, the xerrox series deals with the manipulation of data by
means of endless reproduction. due to the inherent vice of the procedure that becomes especially
visible when copies are made from copies, everyday sounds are so much altered that they can be
hardly associated with the source material anymore. as a result, entirely new sounds are created that,
being copies of originals, become originals themselves.
on »xerrox vol. 3«, a new aspect enters the scene. inspired by childhood film memories from the
1970s including tarkovsky's adaption of solaris' and la isla misteriosa y el capitán nemo' based on
jules verne's the mysterious island', the record shows alva noto's private side. with its very intimate
atmosphere, it is a personal reflection of dreams, an imaginary journey through emotional landscapes
or, as he himself puts it, a cinematographic emotion of a soundtrack to a film that actually does not
exist in reality.'
alvo noto himself further states, I see »xerrox vol. 3« as my most personal album so far. I have
to admit that this emotional output is a surprise even for myself. it remains exciting how the last two
albums of this series will sound like.'

PRAXXIZ continues to evolve the cut & thrust of their release catalogue with what may be their strongest release to date.
Frenchman Christopher Kah has an impeccable 'story so far', having released & remixed his take on Techno, with and for genre icons Terrence Fixmer, Dave Clarke, Anthony Rother, Mount Simms and Laurent Garnier.
His own releases are regularly supported by some of Technos biggest international stars like UKs Dave Clarke, USA born Plasticman and Germanys prime mover & cultural innovator Dr. Motte.
Therefore it is no real surprise that it is on Dr. Mottes very own PRAXXIZ Records that we are treated to Christopher Kahs latest and quiete superb 4 track EP 'Room4', which showcases the wide ranging production talents and deep understanding of his chosen creative zone that mark him out as very much a true player and a man clearly giving his beloved Techno a lot of love!
All 4 tracks, Slowly, Room4, Misery & Addict, display a finely crafted fusion of the essential aspects of various branches from Techno's very own Tree Of Life. All in all a real treat for open minded minimalists, Detroit devotees and proper Techno supporters. There's even a tip of the hat to Techno's partly Industrial roots and a hint of Electronic Listening Music. Its all in there!
The real strength of this release is how Christopher crafts all these influences together in a way that leads the listener to acknowledge their presence, but into an end result that is not easy to define or pidgeon hole. The mark of a true artist
Christopher Kah shows in no uncertain terms why he is considered by some of Techno's most wanted, to be a name to be well and truly reckoned with. And PRAXXIZ shows very clearly that their big picture is getting bigger, und das ist gut so!

Regular studio sparring partners October and Borai rekindle their ongoing partnership for hometown label Happy Skull, eschewing the conventions of club-ready house and techno in favour of two decidedly dark Industrial interpretations.2015 was a particularly big year for both producers. Borai hit the big time thanks to the two-fingered salute of revivalist rave anthem "Anybody From London" on Hotline Recordings, while October rightly received universal acclaim for his debut album on Skudge, Black Body Radiation.A-side "Necessary Force" echoes the jackin' throb of classic EBM, fusing titanium tuff percussion, aggressive analogue bass and a mind bending breakdown to create a hefty slab of hard wired funk. In comparison, flipside "Nine Tomorrows" is a more atmospheric excursion. Instinctively paranoid, it peppers a throbbing machine groove with cascading melodies and horror-influenced electronics to mesmerising effect.

After his latest Be As One release O.D. / Helter Skelter", and following Yotam Avni and Konplott's endevours on the label, Shlomi Aber keeps Techno flowing from his imprint, releasing his new Zipperwork / Clones In My Backroom' EP. Zipperwork' is a relentless, fast paced Techno cut, heavy bass and chunky groove, with a smartly programmed groove. Flip the side, and with Clones In My Backroom' you get a slice of straight acidic Techno funk, a big room anthem with a distinctive quirky line that goes the extra mile, set to be one of the major of tune of Spring 2015.

Tim Green is back and presents his 3rd release for Cocoon Recordings. With the two predecessors in mind these three records make a really cool trilogy as all of them are ultra deep, electronic, emotional and (again) perfectly programmed! Among Wolves' follows the typical Tim Green formular with this highly musical way of combining surpreme beats and massive basslines with deep melodies. This is music, this is art and this story telling with sounds. Among Wolves' is one of Greens most dramatic productions so far and it will for sure take you on a trip while getting lost on the floor. Over The Water' appears a bit more relaxed however it doesn't leave the emotional and dramatic corner. If you are bored of all those simple and loop-based toolhouse productions you'll definitely find something touching and interesting here. Tim Green prooves again that he is the uncrowned master of electronic music if it comes to deep and emotional productions. Something to feed your brain, your body and your soul. Something to get lost to and something to stand out for sure!

The Experience is a project by Andrea Benedetti and Eugenio Vatta released back in 1992. The track "Madcap" was realized during the period of the collaboration of the duo with Lory D'S Sounds Never Seen period and it's an experiment that mix techno, breakbeat and sample extravaganza at its best. The main track "Tubes" was a deep techno monster presented in two versions. One has been recoreded live with Andrea Benedetti managing drum machine and bass, Eugenio Vatta sampling, chords and effects and Paolo Dieni on percussion. The second one has more emphasis on melodies and effects with different equalizations and volumes concerning percussion and drum machine. A lost jewel brought to you by Flash Forward for your pleasure.

The fifth release on Visionquest's vinyl only offshoot features three hot licks from label stalwarts Rework, the legendary Konrad Black and Moreon & Baffa. The A Side kicks off with Rework's stunning 'Bilbao', A lesson in stripped back euphoric machine funk drenched in pads and rolling synth lines, A perfect late night beauty. Side B opens with the pairing of Moreon and Baffa, who give us 'Malcrigia' A track that combines tough drum programming with deep dub like synths to create the perfect synergy, driving, melodic and moody. Konrad Black's 'Trophic Cascade' rounds out the EP, A track to get lost in, layers of synths, pads and disjointed ethereal voices and field recordings drift in and out of the mix crafting an atmosphere of tension throughout the track while guiding into the deepest, darkest corners of the dance-floor.Please note these will be vinyl only and a limited pressing.

Atrophic Society regulars Echologist and Vohkinne are joined by new friends DJ Spider and Material Object for the label's first Various Artists release. Kicking things off with his regular sleek touch, Echologist delivers our favourite track of his to date in the aptly titled Splatter Ballistics Cop, with trademark large low end and analog squelches aplenty. DJ Spider follows with a clanking, reverberating behemoth full of dark drones and unsettling background noise entitled Necro Nebula. Material Object Injects his track Wipe Out with supercharged urgency, envoking the kind of late night, dark, floor burner we're particularly fond of. Finally, Vohkinne wraps the EP up with Null, heavy and hammering in all the right ways.

The debut full EP from the Diamond Sublimating duo might catch you off guard. A record that is earthy and dark yet somewhat ethereal, this 002 for the new label comes in steaming. Recorded by the Hungarian duo on Csepel Island of Budapest, "The Heat Is On" grinds and swirls through expertly crafted blends of house, techno and breakbeat to deliver a body of work that will suit dancefloors at the same time as solo introspection. Remixes from London's Altered Natives and Budapest native Mate Tollner slot in perfectly, each providing their respective take on the homegrown soundscaping that is Diamond Sublimating. Gary Martin releases his second sequential EP on Motech Records, the 'This is It' EP. The Ep features two more exclusive tracks, 'This is It' a driving composition accented with piano and synth patterns and subtle funky movement, and 'Galaxy Style' a percussive, building composition expertly laced with muted samples and synth progressions.
Included on this EP are two remixes from techno veterans Mark Broom and Rolando. Broom takes on 'This is It' chopping the original into a hyper dance floor drubbing burner. Rolando re-treats 'Galaxy Style' into a composition that unfolds as it progresses, bathed in signature Rolando production elements.

Release number 10 introduces us to the music of Nachtamt. This is his debut release and he is another one of Estroe's Music Advice Agency talents.
Nachtamt first met Estroe in 2013 as he was looking to get advice on producing music with Ableton Live. It meant that in their first session together Estroe had to 'endure' Nachtamt's extensive library of FastTracker productions, but after a few more sessions she would begin to hear the potential in Nachtamt's Ableton creations.
The sessions with Estroe would drive Nachtamt to create more and more music which eventually lead to Estroe
signing two of his exquisitely evocative tracks to Rosedale Records.
The idea behind Nachtamt's original mix of 'Enhanced Awareness' is to depict levels of awareness and how people perceive the world, and how things may not be what they seem at first glance. The track starts with a springy bassline while gentle aqueous percussion materializes gradually as if delicate raindrops are beginningto fall on the surface of a small stream. Like a floating leaf, one is carried along in the flow. High metallic synth sounds shimmer like moonlight through trees and dance delicately with the emerging carillon of chiming melodies as the whole semblance of the track transforms into something a little less gentle, but more gloriously lush.
MUUI's remix of 'Enhanced Awareness' explores Nachtamt's idea further and deeper. It opens with a mood of apprehensiveness. A continuous single note hangs uneasy in the mix as distant and reverb soaked bass synths lurk, brooding in the shadows like a menacing figure. Short, sharp melodies hide almost from view while the chattering percussion which occasionally surfaces is like a paranoid thought - or like nervous eyes watching...
The question is, who is hiding from who
The original mix of 'A Minority of One' contemplates a quote from George Orwell's '1984' in which the main character, Winston, considers whether or not he is mad for believing the truth even when no one else does.
'Perhaps a lunatic was simply a minority of one.' The staccato orchestral stabs and almost militaristic rhythm of the percussion is obedient, like the citizens of 'Oceania', they work away throughout the track while the introspective but defiant sounding lead captures the idea of a solitary mind beautifully. Estroe's remix of 'A Minority of One' starts off with sombre pads and atmospherics. The loneliness of the overlying melody and it's introspective nature portray the 'Minority of One' theme perfectly. Once again, as in the original, orchestral stabs announce themselves. Unsubmissive they stand out, on their own, reinforcing the original idea further. However there is a different feel to the remix in that the mood is more reflective and while quite melancholic, there are periodic moments of optimism, like Winston has slowly accepted the nature of his thoughts.

Pattern Damage is the 2nd flash of idiosyncratic footwork and garage hybrids from South Yorkshire's Rian Treanor, landing on The Death of Rave nine months after his coiled, nerve-sparking debut 12".
The EP's four tracks take the unmistakable influence of Mark Fell's angular, academic 2-step designs into faster BPMs and colourfully chromatic, sidewinding arrangements, all driven with a
breathlessly forward, quicksilver style that's entirely Rian's own and with few comparisons in the current field.
By splicing the syncopated swing 'n parry of Sheffield's speed garage sound at +8 with the whirlwind flux of Chicago footwork, Detroit jit and the dizzying dynamics of Max/MSP software,
his sound dances in a double refraction of ideas and influence between US, Afro-Caribbean and UK dancefloors in various stages of integration and mutation, following a line along Black-rooted dance music and the sharpest edge of experimental electronics in a way that's informed the best, open-minded UK music since the '60s.
Operating exclusively at a signature 150bpm tempo, the Pattern Damage EP finds Rian both opening out and refining his sound, greeting you with the brutalist, grimy n0!se torque of Pattern_A1, which sounds closest to SND or Errorsmith's most oblique twisters, before the dub chords and skittish rhythms of Pattern_A2 recall Autechre getting off at Niche Club (R.I.P.) and Damage_B1 comes off like a giddier, footworking answer to Hyph Mngo and Damage_B2 unfolds a super cute and tricky sort of syncopated rhythm origami.

This beautiful orange vinyl (limited to 500 copies worldwide) is the latest addition to Mich aka « Analog Devices »'s discography. This 6-tracker EP offers some great underground acid vibes and have the support of the world best acid hero's such as Mike Dred, Woody Mc Bride & Ege Bamyasi.
D-Jack & Menaz participated in the creation of some of the tracks.
Analog Devices / Analog Baby has been creating music for over two decades. It began in the late 80's when he swapped his electric guitar for a TB303 and TR606. Together with Modular II and André Stordeur he started to push forward the idea of playing modular live-acts at Techno and Experimental Acid parties in Brussels venues like the infamous PK studio, Bulten, Fuse and Caves de la Chapelle.
Analog Devices was involved in the creation of Subground Technology and its events at the PK Studio, the first big events for Acid and electronica in Belgium. A lot of big guns actually played in this underground hangar, Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Robert Hood, Mike Dred, Random XS, Steve Bicknell, Ben Long, Bandulu and many more
After a forced break, he rebuilt his studio and 2008 saw the arrival of a new vinyl Analogdevices003 ... on white label .... Which is now rated as a collector Item.
Currently he is organizing alongside with his artistic circle and friends, the WCIA parties which are reviving the feel for the good old days. Outlander, Kosmik Kommando, Ege Bamyasi, Gasmask and many other great names are regularly playing there.

Luna Nuova is the first of the 8 releases planned on trasparent 7inch vinyls. The collaboration project was born to blend the main sonorities of each artist, with no borders of experimentation. All the sounds were created and processed with analog machines, live recorded. The final result is a track splitted in X and Y on the wax, a full side and an ambient side, respectively.
