Away from the techno they've produced for labels including Cocoon and their own Elevate imprint, Pig&Dan have compiled an album honouring the musicians and singers they've met and who've inspired them throughout their career. The album entitled 'Destination Unknown' holds no boundaries, fusing together genres and styles far beyond electronic music's own (increasingly broad) spectrum.
Released on John Digweed's Bedrock label, 'Destination Unknown breaks out from Pig&Dan's roots and pushes their personal envelope of influences to a wider audience who may not have been exposed to downtempo, funk and the (almost) anything goes philosophy of Balearic music.
Bedrock Records have recently just celebrated their fifteenth anniversary and the label is going from strength to strength, releasing quality single releases and artist albums, plus the hugely successful 'Live In' compilation series from John Digweed. With releases crossing over many genres, Bedrock's consistency and John Digweed's prolific touring continues to attract a newer audience to the label.

Having previously impressed with vivid blends of cosmic R&B, skewed space-pop, glistening post-ambient soundscapes and mangled, synth-laden grime, rising star Throwing Shade (AKA producer Nabihan Iqbal) demonstrates her dancefloor side with a killer 12" on Happy Skull.
"Chancer" and "Blanx" both retain Iqbal's uniquely intergalactic aesthetic, whilst flitting between jacking, Chicago-influenced house rhythms and jazzy, off-kilter dancefloor grooves. Synths sparkle, while vocal snippets drift in and out of the mix.
The 12" is completed by a riotous, predictably heavyweight remix from Kowton, whose guttural techno grooves are peppered with cut-up samples of Iqbal's distinctive, dreamy vocals.

Providing a state-of-the-art rejuvenation of 90s ambient house, the 'Heart' EP (the first in a 2-part 'set' of records) serves as a fluent example of the lighter side of Greg Scrase's previously little-known, but masterfully honed craft; here paying homage to the past greats of electronica, drawing together different influences and applying them to his own colourful sonic palette. The 12" contains 3 exquisite original tracks that bubble and grow with a vibrant analogue charm, imbued with Scrase's house-ier tendencies and melodic capabilities - backed-up by a very special remix of 'Flyover' from like-minded acid aficionado Dave Monolith (under the moniker MNLTH).
The title track, 'Heart', opens the EP with timeless melodies that organically intertwine, drawing back the curtain to reveal a plethora of intricately coalescing layers. With a unique balance of rough and clean a delicate sense of faltering euphoria is created, as augmented vocal swells washed in reverb swim among sparkling synths and broken pianos, driven firmly along by robust kicks and claps. The track moves through shifting sonic pastures, littered with resonant waves and ripples, culminating in a peak that can only be described as epic, before the A-side closes with the palette-cleansing ambient revolutions of 'Ice Exploration Party'.
On the B-side, 'Flyover' picks up where 'Heart' left off. Stylistically similar to the title track in its essence, whilst possessing a more majestic feeling - the harmonies are confident and the form cohesive. Commencing with a solid beat underpinned by a repeating foghorn-like pulse, streams of soaring voices reach out to trace dreamy outlines of billowing structures, tying together the elements of the track with a blissful simplicity. Monolith's remix of 'Flyover' sees him build upon the euphoric elements of the original, re-interpreting the track as a lush electronic pop classic in his trademark style - blending slick acid and catchy melodies with a subtle poignancy.

After the massive Acid Youth Of Malibu remixes 12", we definitely needed a follow-up record that could carry the baton at pace. The 15 Dead Minutes are Delinquent Dialect, Dr. Skunkenstein and Heuristic Audio - all seasoned players in the underground electro scene but crucially a trio who 'get' real techno and have no qualms in speeding it up and fighting dirty.
What we have here is a collection of raw and frenzied battle tools cut straight from a series of wild hardware sessions, where distortion runs free and sound waves run riot. On the a-side 'Purge The Pious' recalls the burning intensity of '90s techno in a penetrating style that is 100% T15DM, followed by the marauding acidic electro of '20 Parts Per Million' that'll no doubt score bonus points with fans of their previous 12" on Trensmat.
On the flip, the surging 'Your Belief Is Broken' continues along a sinister path, with a spitting lead synth that manages to be uplifting yet equally unnerving. 'Ugly Growths' closes out the record and lives up to its name - a lunging attack of mutant acid that highlights the trio's love for crawling sound textures and mad sequences.
Truss: ha, this is ace. i'm playing a party called retro acid in belgium in a few months. this will be perfect!
Objekt: thanks for these. dope stuff
AnD: Dope Release!!!! Strong and powerful ;) Full Support
Happa: This is insane, absolutely brilliant!
Rebekah: your belief is broken is pretty cool and purge the pious i also like :)
Paula Temple: this is insane! love it, will want to play this all weekend
Kr!z: Will def play b1, sick!
Eomac: Solid stuff. It's all about A2 for me - I love that electro style.
Paul Mac: Thanks man some winners here again as always. 20 parts per million is the standout for me
Dave Tarrida: slamming !!
Minimum Syndicat: This one is really strong ! uptempo analog dirty acidic techno. My favourite might be "ugly growths" but i feel them all. We'll play it in our next podcast for sure.

Limited Clear Vinyl Pressing!
Originally released on Rebirth in 2010 'Boing Pop' and 'Kisses From New York With Love' by Tevo Howard gets a re-release due to big demand !
One of the most watched artists to emerge from Chicago's house scene in the last few years Tevo's productions have tapped into a rich vein of the city's deeply rooted heritage and duly attracted a lot of attention from House heads the world over. And Rebirth has been the first European label to release his music.
Warm and Emotional with a Raw and Hypnotic vibe like all Tevo's productions, authentic deep house with a touch of acid, rememberings of Phuture Trax, perfectly recreated by Tevo with the same kind of intensity as its inventors. The Original mixes have been remastered, and the package include some hot new mixes !
After the recent success of their expansive debut full length on Idle Hands, Bristol based producers Jacob Hodge and Matt Lambert Aka Outboxx rework Boing Pop with
a twisted cubby version plenty of analogue dust and some heavyweight bass Studio Barnhus's boss Kornél Kovács (together with Petter Nordkvist and Axel Boman) reinvents the track with an amazing bass-driven, vocal-laced spooky house jam ! Melbourne drum machine kid Inkswel follows his releases on Firecracker, Faces and Rush Hour with a hot remix of 'Kisses from New York With Love' dropping a killer beat and his irresistible bassline !

New Metasplice material is always pounced upon by a number of us over here, who eagerly follow the Philly pair's evolutionary path every step of the way. This weighty double sider on Morphine delves into the paranoid / submarine dwelling / meta-hacker / soundtrack territory they are often known to enter when performing live. Vertia snakes like a virus. Tiled Eigths is pure fever. If this means nothing to you but you want to check some fresh electronics by one of the most important duos out there then don't hesitate on this one... TIP!

'No. Inc.' are Material Object and Atom™. Both artists are launching their 'No.' label imprint this May, by releasing the full length 'Early Reflec-tion' album (No. 900, digital release only) and the herewith presented 'Early Reflection EP I' (digital and 12). The tracks featured on this EP are the ambient piece 'Early Reflection Part I' (side A) and the technoid 'Refraction I' (side AA). While side A explores the realms of textures and soundscapes, side AA, which exclusively will be released on this EP, expands into rhythmical codes and thereby out-lines possible horizons both artists are envisioning for their 'No.' platform. The 'Early Reflections EP I' initiates a series of releases on 'No.' that will leave the stylistic limitations of electronic music behind. This 12 comes in a special sleeve (cut out 'No.' triangle), 180 g vinyl and is limited to 300 copies. All tracks written by Atom™ & Material Object, 2013/2014. Produced by Atom™. Artwork by Material Object.

written and produced by Philipp Quehenberger
mastered at Dubplates & Mastering
cover drawing Marta Mikulec
Philipp Quehenberger's music has existed as a consistent strain amongst the Austrian underground for the last 15 years. His output is a cracking combination of dance floor zeal and deep disco disorientation. A perpetually rotating sphere which blends genres whilst bending the body and mind. Quehenberger's sweaty cerebrum is significantly showcased on his second full length for Editions Mego.
'Content' ventures deeper into Quehenberger's world of electro noir, ketamine cool and sordid soul. 'Fucked' is a monumental drive through a gloriously queasy and sleazy terrain which leads into the rolling rhythms of last years killer 'Uff Uff 12"". Here an oozing psychedelic tapestry folds amongst muffled voices resulting in a striking propulsive chant. 'Startled' further charts the depths of dance and disorientation as striding rhythms coalesce amongst gloriously diminishing synths. 'Extended' bounces around an ecstatic carnival atmosphere where an abject ringleader swerves amongst swirling organs and a thick organic beat. 'Content' is brimming with hard driving dance music. A bass line degenerate hurtling out of the speakers as the ultimate mood enhancer. Equal parts quarantine and club 'Content' is one Quehenberger's finest works to date

ENTROPY TRAX, is the new sister label to Kompakt's WALLS helmed ECSTATIC imprint. Expect limited edition hand artworked white-label 12"s from a variety of artists, focussed on experimental dance floor sounds.
The debut release comes from DFA's Gavin Russom (The Crystal Ark/Black Meteoric Star) with a titanic double-header that announces the first of a series of releases for the label. Recording under his own name for the first time since 2011's 'Night Sky', this material finds Russom creating visceral and hypnotic dance floor tracks.
Gavin Russom on 'The Purge':
"I read in Jonathon Miller Weisberger's fantastic new book 'Rainforest Medicine' that in the urban version of the Yage ceremony the plant concoction they use is called 'La Purga' - literally 'The Purge' in Spanish. I think the song evokes the experience of feverishness and the odd combination of ecstasy and terror, even paranoia, that one gets when feverish - the dreams, the way that nothing seems to quite fit together right, the waves of hot and cold and the ultimate clearing of the body that comes when it has run its course."
Gavin Russom on 'Enthroned':
"David Brown's book 'Santeria Enthroned' was sitting on my kitchen table as I worked on this track and the titled seemed to fit it well after finishing it. I wanted to evoke a complex image of empowered femininity in the track, much like the images of orishas like Ochun, Yemaya and Oya that Brown describes in his writing. I was creating a kind of praise poem in sounds that describe a distinctly female type of energy. 'Drops' are eschewed in favor of rushes and shifts. There's an aspect of connectedness, especially with the powers of nature such as the river, the ocean and the wind that I wanted to capture...".

Trek With Quintronic are the duo, formed from the ashes of prog rock band Masque in 1979. They recorded two pioneering albums of unique electronic rock. 'Landing Plus' compiles the complete discography of Trek With Quintronic on a double vinyl for the first time in over 30 years. Trek With Quintronic wrote songs with a powerful sound, myriads of compositional ideas, synthetic noises and catchy melodies. Paul's rather unique vocals lie somewhere between David Bowie and Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs.nThis collection highlights a lost duo with a big sound on par with Ultravox, Human League, OMD or Devo

Jon Phonics (Jonathan Phoenix) has been steadily making a name for himself as a producer with releases on the likes of Giles Peterson's Brownswood Bubblers and a limited edition Cassette Tape through Bleep in 2013 (that sold out in under an hour). His signature brand of deep textured, soulful productions is hard to pin point; drawing as much from early 90's hip-hop as it does early 00's grime & 80s funk. Over the past 12 months his own label/club night, Astral Black, has been building a reputation as a platform for forward thinking producers in the burgeoning experimental hip hop and new wave grime scenes. The likes of Jaisu, Inkke and Opal Block have all contributed to the labels hand screen printed cassette series and there are some seriously heavy 12"s planned for the coming months. Packed out club residencies in both Glasgow & London are a testament to how this label has grown.
First Word is delighted to welcome Phonics to the fold for the release of his 'White Neckle' EP - 7 tracks that blend delicate melodies with tough beats and powerful top lines, with the addition of South-London rapper Rup and soul vocalist, Yasine lending their vocal talents to the mix. Having received early radio support from the likes of Alexander Nut, LuckyMe's The Blessings & Hyperdub's Scractha DVA - 'White Neckle' is another forward step for the talented producer. Available as a digi-EP and a limited edition 7" (featuring 4 of the tracks) it's the first of a run of projects for Phonics, with releases on Alexander Nut's 'Hotep' imprint and collaboration's with the likes of Pedestrian & Jam Baxter scheduled for release in the coming months.

Italian producer My Dry Wet Mess, aka Giovanni Civitenga, is a name that has resonated in the world of left field/beats since it's exciting fledgling years. Though his father is the bass player for Ennio Morricone's orchestra and a studio guitarist on numerous Italian records, from a young age Gio was drawn towards hip hop. At the age of 14, his father gave him a sampler and an Atari, and his beatmaking experiments grew boundless. Having released albums on Daedleus' Magical Properties imprint and Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder venture, it is a pleasure for Fine Grains to present the 'Laptop Lapdance EP' - his first vinyl release.
My Dry Wet Mess' unique sound is recognisable for it's multi-layered intricacy and offbeat charm. Skittering beats slide through surreal melodies and distorted vocals or keys. An uplifting and awkward dance-inducing experience often ensues. In 'Laptop Lapdance', Civitenga encapsulates these elements with four engrossing story-telling tracks. Remixes come from Hyperdub' Ikonika, Dam Mantle and Auntie Flo. The latter starting with a dreamy analogue rework of 'Nailed Scale', a gentle breezy groove with a plethora of subtle details peaking out from the undergrowth. If Auntie Flo's remix is a curious walk along the jungle path, Dam's Mantle's 'Nailed Scale' remix is head first into the depths. Dark and prowling, Mantle strips down the emotive elements to tribal claps and creepy background echoes. Stepping further into techno territory, Ikonika's 'Scenario Adjustment remix' highlights the metallic and futuristic elements of 'Eyelids' Secret'. A stomping mechanical rhythm goes for the jugular from start to finish. In her 'Shy' remix of the track, Ikonika wraps up with a beat-less cinematic twist. An epic and ethereal finish that could easily befit a futuristic sci-fi film score.
Support and airplay from Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft (BBC R6), B.Traits & Rob Da Bank (BBC R1)

Sir. Joe born in 1987 in America Latina, as teenager he moved with his family to London, during his studies (thanks to his crazy schoolmates) he felt in love with the illegal rave party and with the new school of electronic UK's music. A quick step that turned him into a music producer. Sir. Joe shaped his sound mixing european and american styles. Old school chicanos' groove and samples were restyled in the direction of the English and Dutch style. LOD is glad to present Sir. Joe's debut... again five tracks of pure energy and soul mixed with few drops of acid. Welcome to the house of Sir. Joe!

A Sagittariun returns to Elastic Dreams after 2013's incredible debut album, 'Dream Ritual'. Having picked up such accolades as Electronica Album Of The Month (December, Mojo Magazine) and No. 6 Best Album on 2013 (DJ Magazine), A Sagittariun gets right back to business with this eclectic 4 track release. 'Wave Upon Wave' channels frenzied breakbeats and rolling acid-like riffs, whilst 'Re-Ignition' and 'Ascella' are clearly designed for the dancefloor, with muscular and Teutonic beats underpinning more celestial sounds. EP closer, 'And The Moon Be Still As Bright' is cut from the same cloth as the 'Dream Ritual' sessions, highly emotive and intelligent dance music, wrapped up in cloud of shimmering pads. Select DJ reactions Matt Walsh (Turbo/Bugged Out) - 'Dream Ritual' was a great album and now even more great tracks, unstoppable producer, one of my current favourites Ed Davenport (Berghain) - woahh! Killers!! Shenoda (Hypercolour) - 'Ascella' and 'Wave Upon Wave' are superb! Dom Cappello (Sub Club) - Loving 'Ascella' and The Moon... Truss (Perc/Stroboscopic) - 'Ascella' is great Brendon Moeller - 'Re-Ignition' and 'The Moon' are the ones for me Marco Bernardi (Planet E/Futureboogie) - Yes, another great release from the man of mystery, full support Jimmy Edgar (Warp) - cool music Objekt - Awesome, gonna give these a spin for sure Laurent Garnier - excellent, full support from me Danny Tenaglia - 'Re-Ignition' for me, thanks!

Strip Steve's new EP "Crowd Control" is strictly set for clubs!
If one might say the french Dj/Producer has lured his previous album Micro Mega into half-tempo or Pop, his intentions are clear on this one: Getting Mean. The result is a raw & simple 4-track EP, mainly focused on rhythms perfectly mixable into any type of playlist.

Frigio Records are extremely proud to add one of Spain's premier electronic artists to its roster. For more than ten years Boris Divider has been crafting machine music, carving frigid beats and lush melodies for Semantica, Satamile and his own Drivecom imprint.
In recent years, following EPs like Surface and Aeon, the Cuenca based artist has changed his canvas. The colder coils of Electro have been replaced with warmer tones. Parallel sees Boris take up the analogue brush for some wondrously vivid soundscapes. The title piece is a distanced work of twilight electronics. Rippling waves blur, resonating arcs soaring into the stratosphere for a deep, ambient and intoxicating track. Label boss Juanpablo is up on remix duty. Percussion scorn is poured onto the original. Samples haunt while acid lines invade and claps maraud for a bruising interpretation. Arcanoid, a trailblazer of Iberian electronics, debuts on Frigio with two takes on the title track (Version 1 & 2). Version1 is broken down and rebuilt, Industrial sorrows swirled in staggered drums and bulging bass. Beats are bolstered for the hardened 'Version2.' Melodies orbit, stretching against a fierce gravitational pull as tempos rise into the otherworldly.
The final installment, Tangential, sees Boris Divider return. Clean arpeggios rumble, clicks sinking into a thick analogue soup. Dense bars prowl in a haze before lances of light break to an awe-inspiring future dawn. Cerebral sounds and dancefloor hammers from the heart of Spain.

Cloud Boat aka Tom Clarke and Sam Ricketts are back with their second album following last year's critically acclaimed 'Book Of Hours'
debut. One listen to 'Model Of You' tells you that Cloud Boat are not the same band they were 12 months ago. Richer, heavier, more
adventurous. This is an emotional record untethering themselves from the past sailing into deeper waters. The man charged with helping
Cloud Boat navigate this new course is Andy Savours, the English producer who has worked with the pair's favourite bands such as My
Bloody Valentine, Sigur Ros and The Horrors. The result is a dramatic body of work destined for further greatness.

A gorgeous 6-tracker by Norwegian techno/electro/acid artist Retape. The EP takes off where Drexciya and related projects such as The Other People People Place left it in the early 2000s. The title track takes it away and is the most technoid of all with a driving bassline and open hi-hats while long stretched melodies finish it off; this one sucks you onto the dance floor as if it were one big whirlpool. The second cut "Coir" is a serene a downtempo 4/4 track that gets you overwhelmed with an otherworldly melody sneakily coming in about midway. "EMN" then, pulls you straight underwater with its hard hitting snares, plastic bassline and acid feel. The tempo goes up with "Cars", a delay-heavy spaced out acid track for unstable dance floors. The following track "Rotation" is a beatless excursion into the world of clinical synthesized sci-fi music. The incorrectly named "Moving Down" is the final track and a true upper: high speed melodic electro with a touch of melancholia. Six times lucky, this one.

Still fresh from his debut full length Traces last year, Delta Dunktionen is back with his first EP of the year. As well a new track, it features a special Karenn remix of 'Onkalo', a track previously released on Traces, as well as 'Challenger' from the same album.
The first original is 'Sun Storm' with its tumbling Chicago drums, chattering claps and sci-fi swirls all adding up to something that's as heady as it is futuristic. 'Challenger' - previously cd/digi only - on the other hand sounds like a much more calm and serene trip through the cosmos, with slowed electro stylings and plenty of occult details coming over like the soundtrack to a film as much as a darkened dancefloor.
Uncompromising techno pair Blawan and Pariah a.k.a. Karenn turns in an unsurprisingly brutish version of 'Onkalo' that spits and skips through industrial drums, fizzing machine noises and sombre horn sounds. Evil!

Muhk are proud to present their debut EP as a small label that specializes in hardware made electronic music. Our debut EP produced by Finland's Matti Turunen; one half of the Morphology electro duo, is Matti's 2nd solo EP and within the 3 hypnotic techno/house/electro analogue jams, Matti shows us the beauty of producing electronic music the real way with synths and clattering drum machines. This is electronic music showing its real roots.
