Nach über 30 Jahren erscheint am 28 Februar 2014 Gabi Delgados neues Album - 1' auf GoldenCore/ZYX Music.
Geschichte schrieb DAF, die sich 1978 in Düsseldorf gründeten, mit Hits wie - Der Moussolini' oder - Der Räuber und der Prinz'.

Das mit 18 Titeln bestückte Album wird alle DAF Fans, aber auch und vor allem die Freunde moderner elektronischer Clubmusic begeistern. DAF-artige Sequenzen, modernste House- und Electro-Beats, dazu die für Gabi Delgado typischen deutschen Texte bilden ein einzigartiges Gesamtbild, das sicher für Furore sorgen wird.
Vorab wird am 31.(A) CD 1 14 die Single NEBELMASCHINE/LIPPENSTIFT' digital veröffentlicht, auf
der sich neben einem IN STRICT CONFIDENCE auch ein EISBRECHER REMIX befindet.
Zum Release startet Gabi seine Solotour, auf der das gesamte Album und einige DAF/dos Hits präsentiert werden. Die Tour wird präsentiert von INTRO und SONIC SEDUCER.
Gabi DelGado ist als einer der Pioniere deutscher Techno- und Electromusik anzusehen und sorgte zusammen mit Robert Görl in der 1978 gegründeten Formation DAF (Deutsch amerikanische Freundschaft) für nationales und internationales Aufsehen.
1995 gründete er zusammen mit dem Schauspieler und Musiker Wotan Wilke-Möhring das Projekt DAF/DOS.

Music from the documentary "I Dream Of Wires" f/several large-format modulars as well as his own Eurorack system. It doesn't revel in classicist synthpop motifs or vocoder-pop of recent years but focusses on making strange sounds sing.

With the presentation of his second full length album, 2014 is off to a great start for Radial a.k.a. Jeroen Liebregts from The Netherlands. With the massively supported Linea Recta EP on Bas Mooy's Mord label and his Caveman EP on his own label Audio Assault both in 2013, Radial made quite the comeback after a few quieter years and has now firmly set course for his future works. Taking full control and having complete artistic freedom with his newly founded label Radial Records he has made it possible to showcase the great diversity of music that has been coming from his studio on this album: Crux.

Tetris or Legend Of Zelda for disrupt this ruff and tuff little buddy turns into a serious sound-killing tool.
Dub Matrix With Stereo Sound is the culmination of years spent refining the art of handheld gaming console-based riddim construction, using the LSDJ tracker cartridge and disrupt's beloved Gamebwoy - especially modded up for maximum bass weight. Featuring nine crisp cuts - each built strictly on the Gamebwoy before being dubbed out with disrupt's superbly pimped up Korg Monotron Delay and mixed to cassette - this mini LP is not a joke ting. Heavily road-tested on Europe's biggest soundsystems (used as interludes during disrupt's live sets), these dark and deadly riddims have been scientifically proven to mash up the dance. If you're a lover of extraterrestrial 8-bit dub, this may just be the holy grail. So don't fanny about, bag this one quick - because like all Jahtarian output, this pressing is strictly limited. Real name Valentino Mora, the South American-born Parisian has risen through the ranks of his local scene through a tough and
convulsive take on dance music that folds in elements of house, ghettotech and electro. Perhaps best known for 2012's "Yo Vogue"
on Dirtybird, he also started his own ClekClekBoom label along with his fellow crew members The Boo and Ministre X, which has
been pumping out releases since 2011. His debut album will come through that imprint as well. Presumably named after the NASA
vessel currently in orbit (which itself is named in honour of seminal Astronomer Johannes Kepler), judging from sneak peeks like "This
Kind Of Setup" and "Forward Action", the record will keep Mora's jittery sound intact while exploring a more science fiction-
influenced sound palette.

When discussing producers with consistently good outputs, few compare with Jan Driver.
Just pulled out his debutalbum "Amatilda" last year, Jan Driver again dished out an extra
tasty and promising morsel: This One-shot named 'Peaker' comes with a gigantic brightness in sound and is not less than
a slammy hand-clapping celebratory basher. The reverb and heavy subbasses are literally all
over the place...Jan Driver signature's for sure! It has the exact fair amount of tension a track
needs to sound excited and to infect your eardrum.

Brazil's superb collaboration Mixhell, also known as ex-Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavalera, his DJ wife Laima Leyton and long time partner and producer Max Blum, are back with their newest imprint - Exit Wound' (taken from their forthcoming debut album - Spaces'). Exit Wound sets the scene of a hypnotic space trip driven by euphoric percussion, groovy bass and smooth vocals by Greg Puciato from hardcore punk band The Dillinger Escape Plan - who gives the track a certain indie, disco funk vein. The tension grows into a mess of Puciato's screamo perfomance and drops back into the vibey space atmosphere. Everything merges into brilliant indie-electro-mash up served by Mixhell in their own inimitable style. The pack is completed with three remixes, contributed by power duo Zombie Disco Squad, Swedish bad boys Savage Skulls and last but not least by retro-disco producer Aeroplane. Zombie Disco Squad dials it down to a more minimalistic well thought out remix and focuses it on rough brooding basslines crossed with haunting vocal bits from the original. Future Techno aspirated with some slight of darkness was created here. Whilst Aeroplane spins it back to a 80s dreamy retro jam - Casio oldschool synths dipped into a funky electro beat, which gives you the feeling of driving a red Testarossa through Miami while listening to Debbie Deb. Finally Savage Skulls morphs the original to a ravey dancefloor smasher, framed by heavy stomping kicks and energetic fidget synths. A track which is built for the crowd and to destroy the crowd

New Skudge release from Transmat/Subject Detroit etc recording artist, Steven Brown. Features a deep one for the floor

Out February 17th, the first Donky Pitch release of 2014 sees a return to the label for Lockah. As a prelude to his forthcoming album, 'If Loving U is Wrong, I Don't Want to Be Wrong' contains two fresh tracks that touch on classic electro, miami bass and rave whilst retaining that melody driven pop sheen that Lockah calls his own. Alongside sit two versions, stripped back takes on their respective originals loaded with tough bass hits and breaks.


As well as running his own Tuff Wax label Lockah has released EP's on Mad Decent/Jeffreees, Mishka and last years 'Only Built 4 Neon Nites' on Donky Pitch, he collaborated with TasteTester for the Activia Benz label and has remixed Danny Brown, LiL TExAS and Jaw Jam. 2014 will see the release of his debut full length 'Yahoo or the Highway', out April 14th.

Die in Grenoble geborene Caroline Hervé alias Miss Kittin gehört seit Jahren zu den bekanntesten Künstlerinnen der elektronischen Musik. Zusammen mit ihrem Produktionspartner The Hacker wurde sie mit Tracks wie "1982" und "Frank Sinatra" weltbekannt, Kooperationen mit Felix Da Housecat, Sven Väth ("Je t'aime moi non plus"), Steve Bug und T.Raumschmiere machten sie zur gefragtesten DJane und Produzentin der Techno-Szene. Ihr drittes Soloalbum - nach "I Com" (2004) und "Batbox" (2007) - heißt "Calling From The Stars". Das Doppelalbum spricht sowohl den technoaffinen Hörer als auch den Indie-Pop-Fan an und teilt sich in eine poporientierte Platte und eine zweite, die eher von Ambient beeinflusst ist. Insgesamt wird Miss Kittin damit sowohl alte Fans als auch neue Hörer ansprechen. Dafür sprechen auch die potenziellen Singleauskopplungen: "Bassline" folgt einem Talk-Talk-Klavierlauf, der auf eine Depeche-Mode-Basslinie trifft, und so das Zeug zum Indie-Hit hat. It's exactly 20 years ago since Rude 66 dropped his first record. Time to celebrate with this monster release on Bordello A Parigi. Killer vocoders, crushing beats and heavy dark arps. A definitive must have!

After 3 storming installments CE closes The World Electronix series with it's final outing Volume 4. This EP dives into deep and twisted electro realms with tracks from E.R.P, Sync 24 & Deixis, Plant43 and Steve Allman. Opening the EP is Gerard Hanson under his electro edged alias E.R.P. For CE he serves up a signature style piece. Super deep pads, hooky bass lines and dreamy melodies layered over crisp rolling beats. CE and Abstract Forms label heads Sync 24 & Deixis turn in their 3rd track for the series. Ah Ah Ah is a pure off kilter analogue affair made up of trippy sequences, squelchy bass and twisted bleeps. The flip side see's Emile Facey aka Plant43 returning to CE for another release. His track GJ 1214b in suit with E.R.P's A side continuing with smooth, deep and rolling vibes. Finally closing the Series is the debut release from London Electro party Scand resident, Steve Allman. Funky bass lines, bleepy leads, tough beats and vocoders in true electro spirit are a perfect close to the series!

Following suit where his 2xlp left off Gunnar Haslam presents a new ep for L.I.E.S. Once again we see Haslam find a nice balance between combining samples and hardware in his productions creating moving and atmospheric tracks, which range from slow stripped down soundtrack style cuts to more developed far out techno.

Behavioral scientists discovered why watching a forest relaxes the mind while the sight of an urban jungle, no matter how intricate, stresses us out. A forest contains so many lines, triangles, etc that our mind immediately gives up on trying to see it all. This giving up is the relaxing effect.

In the city our eyes and mind keep on trying to see every line, square, rectangle, etc. Impossible of course, and thus: stressing. The same goes for Hiele's music which is a true aural forest of all music electronic. There's simply too much to hear: ambient, 808 jack, nineties IDM, Chicago footstep, glitchy bits,...

So, only two cerebral reactions possible. First, if not accustomed with electronic music, is to put the needle off the record after a few seconds into the first track, and to never give it a second try. Secondly, to sit back and let the ingenious compositions wash over you.

By the time you've been able to pinpoint a certain recognizable sound, Essential Oils, even more so than it's predecessor, has already moved on so much that it leaves you wondering if a new track has already begun or not. (This wondering, again, makes you lose the pace.) Most electronic artists would be able to make a full-length album with the material that Hiele uses in only one track. Yet, amidst all his frantic compositions, Hiele never loses his keen sense for sweet melodies and, yes, even danceable beats.

The album comes in a full color printed sleeve, with cover photo by Hildegard Hanssen and graphic work by Victor robyn. All tracks produced and mixed by Roman Hiele. Mastered at Dubplates & Mastering Berlin.

How The Other Half Lives presents Herman Brahns. No, you won't know the name, but you may know some of the producers behind it. Ned Pegler (aka Medlar aka Klic), Caradog Jones and Tom Stiedl came together in the Summer of 2012 and on a long afternoon their slow-mo arpeggio workout "53py9" was formed. Ned and Tom then collaborated again on the ominously dark and hard-hitting "Pilot" during another long afternoon in the same house during the same Summer. Both tracks were swiftly recorded semi-live with the minimum of fiddling after the fact, taking inspiration from Wax Trax era dancefloor Industrial, Italo, synth soundtracks (particularly the work of John Carpenter)...and of course the endless suffering and sorrow of existence. Scott Fraser of Bird Scarer, World Unknown and Horn Wax fame and the legendary DMX Krew grace the b-side with a pair of outstanding reinterpretations.

Early support comes from Daniel Avery (who featured Scott's remix on his recent Resident Advisor podcast), Tim Sweeney, Optimo's JD Twitch, Bicep, Luke Abbott, Cosmo Vitelli and many more.

A collaborative effort between Marquis Cooper (Svengalisghost) and Lili Schulder (51717), this project was born in the winter of 2013.
What can best be described as non-stop electronic erotic cabaret, the duo played a series of improvised performances which served as a structural backbone prior to the recording of this album. Finished in merely two weeks, this 8 song double lp acts as a complete listening experience, engrossed in the down beat primitive electronics of the past whilst pushing further into the self-created anti-beat world of today. Pulsing tones, off beat drums, melancholic vocals, and overall dark vibes characterize, but do not solely define what it is to truly trust in pain. Mastered and cut by Matt Colton for maximum impact

Neben der "Earth Division" EP und einem Remixalbum erschien Anfang 2013 auch der Soundtrack zur TV-Serie "Les Revenants" (The Returned). Gleichzeitig tourten Mogwai unaufhaltsam durch die Weltgeschichte. "Rave Tapes" entstand im bandeigenen Castle Of Doom Studio in Glasgow. Und wieder einmal entwickeln sie ihren Soundkosmos entscheidend weiter. Die Mogwai-typischen Gitarrenwände bleiben erhalten, treten aber öfter bewusst in den Hintergrund und schaffen so Klangräume für vielschichtige, oft elektronische Sounds, die sich in den zehn atemberaubenden Songs auf "Rave Tapes" wiederfinden.
