Sometimes you need to lose your mind, to regain your musical soul. For Berlin DJ/producer Daniel Steinberg, an intense touring period in the wake the releasing of his debut album 'Shut Up' warranted just that. Suffering from a heavy tour comedown and questioning the direction of not just his music, but his ongoing desire to continue as a globetrotting artist, he locked himself in his East Berlin studio for a nine-day period of self-imposed exile that ultimately laid the foundations for his latest opus, 'Treptow'. For the nine days I didn't speak to a soul except for the pizza delivery guy and completely lost my mind (in the best possible way) listening to some very obscure experimental music from the likes of Ron Geesin, Mark Shreeve and Trevor Wishart. This time acted as the reset button that inspired me to produce 'Treptow', he tells. Long-lauded by Jesse Rose who signed him to his Front Room Recordings label and the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Claude Vonstroke who've supported his tunes, 'Treptow' speaks of a producer enjoying a deep vein of inspiration. Over fourteen tracks he has crafted a longplayer filled-to-the-brim with rich, personality-laden electronic music, that's indicative of not just the breadth of his production palette, but his passion and commitments to creating colourful dance music with genuine soul and feeling.

Sev Dah makes his debut on Komisch with three unique club tracks. The mysterious producer has been making waves with releases on Naked Index and Gynoid, but he has reserved his most individualistic music for Komisch.
Lead track 'Otit' revolves around a surging, powerful bass and subtle metallic percussion. It's a prelude for a doomy synth line that gives the track an intangibly eerie feeling.
On the flip, 'Disciple' is led by heavy claps and a more stepping rhythm, but the lunging bass and eerie synths ensure that it'll have maximum impact in a club.
'Tension' also travels a less obvious route thanks to its offbeat rhythm. But its beats are stomping and the dark, churning filter, coupled with Sev Dah's haunting synths, means it's getting support acoss the board.
Feedback:

Smear (Forward Strategy Group)
'Excellent as usual, can see me playing all of these!'

Hossa!

"Black Hawk" is the first single from the third album by Lebensfreude Records chief Gunne. Produced with Berlin beat bohemian Zuckermann and Wareika vocalist Florian Schirmacher, Gunne goes where no one has gone before. Consequently the track meanders between melancholic House and expressive Pop, while Florians structuring vocals provide a uniquely ensouled catchiness. Gunne & Zuckermann were never better and rarely was Florian more convincing. Class! The two remixes are very different in nature. Toby Dreher aims at the dark, sweaty club floor, while Ruede Hagelstein is dancing in a corn field dreamingly welcoming a fine summer morning. Yeah!

A wave of unmistakable sound is currently blasting its way through clubs all around the globe.
The release of his debut track "Bed Swing" pushed newcomer 'Fabe' into the eye of public attention and it is not surprising that the "Bed Swing EP" rocked dance floors of clubs like Tresor (Berlin) even before its official release. In addition to the original mix you will find a mesmerizing remix by 'Holgi Star' (Kiddaz.FM, Micro.Fon) & Pierre Deutschmann (Plattform B, Kiddaz.FM, K: LENDER) - the best mix for an audiophile firework. French sound artist 'Super Tape', who is well known for his club and party music just as much as for his "home-suitable" tracks, gives the "Bed Swing EP" a finishing touch.

Early support by Marc Depulse, Matt Star, Julien Chaptal, Emerson, Helmut Dubnitzky, Toni Haupt, Sven Teet, and many more.

Holdie Gawn & Micawber are back with Sylphe06: Once again working around their usual split format. Holdie Gawn's ''Moon Ride'' is a haunting, melancholic trip in a deep mood, that stretches slowly and steadily over 12 minutes in a journey of enchanted synths and micro-grooves. Over to the B Side we have ''Vattum'' by Micawber, a solid, stopming techo affair with a large, deep bassline & kikcdrum, resonating and pulsating slowly. On top crispy rides, hats & glitches accompany the groove slowly, making this EP a fine comdination between two very different yet effective tracks for the mind and the dancefloor.

New York City's fledgling Serkal imprint is on a rapid accent to glory in 2013. Quickly garnering a reputation for their vibrant releases Serkal have already played host to some of techno's brightest talent and today welcome a South American duo to their ever growing family...

Felipe Venegas is a leading light from the new generation of Chilean artists who have confidently stepped out of the shadows cast by those who first brought their nations electronic sound to the shores of Europe. Never blind to the power of the groove, Venegas' productions always take aim at the feet, hips and mind, never failing to converting even the most passive listener into a dancer. Having featured his music on a glittering array of labels Felipe today steps up with his first for Serkal and joins forces with his great friend, Columbian producer Pablo Cahn, the London-based artist who has already made waves with his debut releases for 8Bit and Cadenza.

Unformated techno sound, with a loud old school electro/electric abuse:)

BUTCH RETURNS TO DESOLAT THIS OCTOBER For a long time now, Butch has been regarded as one of the most versatile producers in electronic music and his releases across a range of different labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest reflect this. Equally adept at making peak time records as he is at delivering deep and weird tracks, Butch's productions always have a distinct and particular character to them. After making his Desolat debut on the 'FTS EP' back in May 2013, Butch returns this October with four shadowy mechanical mutations. Both 'LFO' and 'Sphere' are formidable techno assaults which contains an array of dystopian beeps and blips. On 'Delusion' Butch takes a beautifully hypnotic and psychedelic approach, with a distinctive woodwind sound meandering throughout the track. One for the early hours. 'Tone 2.0 rounds off the EP in a similarly dark vein with, full of flickering electronic tones and drum rolls. The 'Sinus Tones & 808s EP' is even better than you would expect from Butch. Staying true to its name, this release will appeal to those who are in need of some killer explorations of dark leftfield sounds done with that unique Butch charm.

Tolles Release von Leander Janik und Lilly mit sommerlichen Remixen von Arts & Leni, Bunched und AirDice. Ein absolutes Must Have für die kommende Open Air Saison.

Luke Slater's L.B. Dub Corp alias makes a welcome return to Ostgut Ton.

Luke Slaters L.B. Dub Corp Alias kehrt auf Ostgut Ton zurück. Nach der 2010 erschienenen
EP - Take It Down (In Dub)', kündigt die neue - Turner's House' 12' das Album Debüt

Benjamin Zephaniah, einer der führenden britischen Wortschmiede, füllt - I Have a Dream'
mit Witz und Wortspiel. Zusammen mit L.B. Dub Corp's Herangehensweise treffen sie den
Zuhörer unerwartet. Auf "I Have a Dream" untergräbt Zepaniah das engstirnige Denken und
die wir-und-die Mentalität. Er schafft gemeinsam mit Slater eine surreale Hymne und widmet
sie unserer pluralistischen Zeit.

Great Track from Nhar, which could be one of the summer anthems 2009. Teamed up by superb new Wacker & Zittrich Tracks !!!

the 4th vinyl of the mysterious vinyl series !!

New artist on Giegling!! Ateq is the name... and just when we tought we could define the sound of giegling they come up with some excellent new sounds! Advance techno tracks that are minimal and intense..but without using the energy and force as the so called Berghain techno or the mid 90's retro techno tracks that are so popular at the moment. This is fragile music, more rhythmic as Edition Mego releases or Sahko, and more delicate then just average techno.

MODZ is the highly anticipated collaboration between Dustin Zahn of Minneapolis' Enemy Records and Berlin-based producer Material Object, fresh from a more subdued collaboration with Pete Namlook.
SIGNALS begins in dark territory with the pulse of an alien telegraph, but after a minute of tension the track screeches into collision with with a 10-ton kick. Attentive sound design and a growing, hypnotic pulse slowly craft a detailed environment fit for the largest of systems.
PROMOTION OF VICE jumps straight into its main rhythm, proceeding with expertly placed embellishments, ebbing the track in and out of intensities and moody environments.
PREVENTION OF VIRTUE picks up the pace and expands on some of VICE'S themes, opening the track to a wider sound and an equally wide appeal for the dance floor.

New Orion Records hits you with Ozin Ep. It comes with the fine Remix from Rascal!

Easy Changes Supposed Dolls EP is a welcome slice of audio that remains in the sweet spot between clubby-booty-shake and avant-garde-sound-grenade. There's more emphasis on acoustic tones as the sound sources for their audio bending activities. The added acoustic richness is in the service of Easy Changes' love of abstract texture, and heightens a sense of almost tribal funk. Will mix in and blow minds.

the new bang records !! contains a remix by brothers vibe !!!

20 years after his first EC Records release, Michel de Hey is back on his own imprint together with his mate M.I.R.K.O.
After their successful release on Paul Ritch his Quartz Music (which peaked the Beatport top 100) they have teamed up again for the two-tracker Heaven/Nocreche. Both tracks were tried and tested during many club and festival gigs, and they promise to make you move at every event.

With Playmusic Productions Andreas Lindemann aka Andy Lee is starting his new label physically and digitally. The aim is to provide high quality electronic music from tech- to deephouse, made for the dancefloor but apart from the mainstream. Every track gots a heart and a soul with remarkable potential to hypnotize the listener. Its that unique fusion of fluffy chord sounds, complex arrangements, a rollin' bass and groovy hooklines that makes the sounds so special.

The best example for this is the current first release done by labelhead Andreas himself. "Vivre Comme Un Coq En Pate" is the perfect playable tune for epic open air sessions and hot summer nights, accompanied by an awesome Dub Rework of only 14 years old producers Tim Engelhardt, who's really into the groove and perfect for every afterhour. Its just a great start up for a label that you should keep an eye on!
