Ovum is excited to bring you the debut EP from Nico Lahs. Many know him from his tracks on 8 Bit and for his Ovum debut he has delivered two incredible slices of deepness. The Clouded Visions EP harkens back to the classic early Ovum sound but this is clearly a 2011 version of it.

After some great records on Lunar Disko, Ireland's Automatic Tasty now arrives on Photic Fields. With this piece the label continues its way to put out deep emotion-drenched electronic music. Inspired by his beloved nature near his hometown, especially the Sugar Loaf, Tasty produced these introspective tracks. Pure analogue works, with beautiful chords and melodies. Although his influences are noticeable, AT has developed a sound that is completely his own, giving no attention to trends, ever-copying artists or useless genre-indications. This is not a man from the big city, but from some quiet place in Eastern Ireland. This EP includes four recent works by AT, and shows the variety of his productions. Recommended for Aphex Twin-fans, and even though that category is already pretty large, it's in fact recommended for everyone who likes their music melancholic yet uplifting.

After the overwhelming reactions on the Duo Tone and Hex EP's - their previous work-out's together for Music Man - it won't come as a surprise that Petar Dundov and Gregor Tresher got back in the studio together for more, as their sound fits amazingly well together. The result is again two blinding melodic techno tracks that will definitely appeal to fans of both of them. Comes as marbled coloured 10" vinyl!!

Special Remarks: 12 with inside/out sleeve, Artwork Within the scope of our Hot Five compilation, that is now available on a double CD, we have decided to have a few of our UY-back stock-catalogue numbers remixed and to carve them into vinyl. The first part of remixes that have been released already were delivered by Steve Bug and Sebo K. This time Barem has tuned in Channel X and rides with 'Rodeo' on A1 up and away. Following is Layo & Bushwacka! who convert the groove of Gunnar Stiller's 'Open You' on A2 to a fast lane. The tempo turns to be a bit more temperate on the B-side! Here, Andre Lodemann's version of 'Sense' teaches the original from Douglas Greed feat. Delhia de France a delight that one would more or less localize on the house-parquet. Where B1 stops, B2 to continues. Patrick Chardronnet dubs himself brilliantly through 'Give A Little Slap To Your Soul"- making the dread-locks of author Ruede Hagelstein sprout in buzz.

'Flaming Passing' is a great follow up from HARTMUT KISS' latest Definition Records release 'Water Games'. This time he invited again great Artists to remix his track. JOHANNES HEIL (Cocoon, Kanzleramt, Starkstrom) creates a real after hour bomb which will hit the case of all cocoon heads. GUY J (Bedrock Records) stays not behind the track and delivers a melodic hymn which rounds the EP up. Overall a very strong EP from Hartmut Kiss which makes us very exciting for his new upcoming Album.
Supported by: Stephan Bodzin, Tom Novy, Hernan Cattaneo, Toni Rios, Butch, Monika Kruse, Motorcitysoul, Microtrauma, D.Diggler, Wehbba, Oscar, Mijk van Dijk, Oliver Schories, NuDisco, and many more . . . .

Since he released with 'OR' one of the best albums of 2011, Kangding Ray was on our list for a future cooperation. We just needed to wait for the right track for him to remix. That came in the form of Albert Van Abbe's demo for Curle. On his own label No Comment he had previously also worked with Conforce and Convextion - next to Gerald Donald (!), Sleeparchive and Abdulla Rashim. This is however Albert's first release outside of No Comment. The Sugar Lobby Series counts three numbered tracks. 9191 is definitely peaktime stuff, 9090 is deeper but Kangding Ray turns that one into a dark monster too. 9390 concludes the EP with atmospheric offbeats, to cool you down again.

Many friends of "Echtzeit" appreciated his "cl versions 1 - 4" of the
sixth melted recordings release, so some of them did their own
interpretations of one of the themes. These 10 tracks come on two
releases: this "part 1" and forthcoming a "part 2". On this "part 1" we
have got "meridian six", an unknown project with a light, warm and melodic
but also rhythmic electro sound. "Ka.pe" is into variated resonance drums
in interaction with the dub sound. It's the first time that label owner
and manager "ka.pe" releases on melted recordings. Melted recordings known
artist "kryptic universe" made a crystal/metallic bright dub techno track.
Sector's version is detroidish with a fast percussive rhythmic sound.
Madera's redub II is very soft, deep and dub techno and more slowly than
other versions. And finally "Aerror" performes an experimental staccato
with a broken beat, an interpretation called "real time edit". Watch out
for "part 2"!

We finally come to the conclusion of Felix Bernhardt's Durch Und Durch album series
with this last package including the coloured Vinyl, the full length CD and the
cover to fit in all of the releases. The green Vinyl contains four brand new tracks while the CD
features some of the Vinyl tracks, but also has again six more different tracks and an alternate
mix of Sequenz Drive (Vinyl version was released on ).
Felix reinforces his already well earned status in the electronic music world and shows once again,
that he has no limit in ideas or energy for new tunes and peak time burners !
No wonder that lots of the big players use his tracks to great success in their sets and with his
always freaky and mind-blowing sounds and arrangements he's always a sure floorfiller.
The album shows once more the versatility and enthusiasm of the young guy from the deep
forests of the german Westerwald and will surely not be his last big blast to the outside world !

In the beginning there was the funk. A magical power source of unknown origin. Myth upholds that Michal Ho
once showered his limbs in this fountain of creativity, and thus earned him his fantastic powers. A more
traditional accounting would perhaps uphold that Michal Ho was initiated to electronic club music by the likes of
Photek and Moritz von Oswald. His bass-bouncy and sampladelic techno style certainly has earned him a
community of fans across the globe. And his quirky collaborations with Samim have positioned him comfortably in
the hall of fame of Swiss electronic music heroes. He is, as Resident Advisor once tagged him, "not your average
minimal techno guy". Returning from his 2011 album "A Minute for Everyone" for Jay Haze's Tuning Spork label,
Mr. Ho has produced a downright slammer for Zurich imprint Nice Try Records. The somewhat ironically titled
"Don't Rush" is a bass-driven hypnotic monster, topped by jumbling vocals. Contexterrior boss and long-time
musical friend Jay Haze delivers a remix that offers a likewise punchy version of this minimal funk gem. On the
flip side, Michal grows into the sampler kid he was and always will be. On and on. Yeah, we're mesmerized.

An outstanding highlight in this year's late summer is presented by the stars of the Berlin Label Supdub. For this year's first time the DJ Duo Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner (also well known as Alfred Heinrichs & Sascha Braemer) is producing together again. Resulting in the EP Sad Sunday, they created a true appetizer for their upcoming album. However this is not all to the new EP. In addition to Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner's new song, Dan Caster & Sascha Braemer as well as René Bourgeois & Andy Kohlmann created their very own interpretation of this marvellous Sunday after hour feeling disguised in a song. Their work will also be found on the new EP. The new song creation Sad Sunday has already been successfully performed by the Duo on various gigs. Thus, the idea developed to eternalize the track(s) respectively as original(s) together on an own disk. Listening to this good piece of music, the intention of the creators will soon be crystal clear - to transfer the well known feeling that arouses after the party stops and you slowly come back down to earth, realizing that you left the wonderful party dreamland behind and are now heading back towards your daily routine. Furthermore the track tries to foment the desire for the next weekend by being endowed with deep and exhaustive vocals. The Sad Sunday EP is implementing its theme on all levels, providing a formidable sound for a frolic sound pleasure.

Hot on the heels of release 050 from Tiefschwarz with Argenis Brito on vocal duty, comes a neat remix package with contributions from David K, Strangers in Heaven and Re-UP. French producer David K has released on all the major Parisian labels, Freak n' Chic, Rue De Plaisance, Jetaime amongst others. Here he serves up a double dose, his 'Allegro' rework anything but, the vocals twisted out of recognition into a muttering chorus of demonic gremlins, while the mutant drums steadily beat out an ominous tone. A distant marimba and the odd piano chord that's left hanging, a quizzical non sequitur, lift the melody. On the flip, David's 'Grand Piano' pairs a shuffling, almost jazzy beat with a shower of tinkling pianos, the vocals washed with melancholy from the keystrokes that slowly morph into plucked strings. Souvenir's very own mysterious twosome, Strangers in Heaven, beef up the kick and make the bassline snake and swirl, turning up the groove factor. The vocals provide respite from the tension, while skittering synth sounds come up close against the hypnotic beat. Upon You stalwarts Re-UP take it deep, a throbbing bassline playing off the tightest of snare hits, a squelching synth hitting suddenly and a distended voice appearing too out of nowhere. It's a total transformation, none of the original parts distinguishable, as if seen through a prism of the unsettling.

- mantle' is already pixel's forth release on raster-noton since his debut in 2003 and a further exploration of his approach to rhythm-driven, electronic music.the overall atmosphere which is produced by the fragile but nevertheless complex sounds is gloomy and quite threatening. deep, pulsating basses are accompanied by ominous and ferce tones which emerge like fashes of light or shock waves, giving the impression of being warning signals, and the few calm moments of the tracks are constantly disrupted by dark drowns. if this is the future, it will not be very bright. but all the precisely generated sounds, which seem to be produced by industrial machinery, are by no means lifeless. actually it seems like the automats are tuned to funk, resulting in a polyrhythmic, driving and impulsive composition one cannot escape from.

the original is a slowgroove Monster - very Anthony Rother like !! The Ascent's Clubrework is minimal and powerful and perfect for friends of Get Physical, Kompakt or Minus. The Soapespierre & Dexter Mix is perfect for cases of Tiga, Boys Noize or Robert Hood !! the bomb of the records is by Queaver & Thom E. "Beloved Acid Voice Mix" - this one is comining the hit potential of old Attack Tunes with the fresh sound of Pickadoll, plus Vocals like MIA !! already played by Jeff Bennet, M.a.n.d.y., Mason, Patrice Bäumel, ...

Steadfast is proud to present a collaborative project made up of Speedy J and Brendon Moeller. Neither of these artists need introduction. Their contribution to electronic music and club culture is well documented.
These 4 tracks are the result of jam sessions in Speedy J's Rotterdam studio in May 2012. Inspired by their love of Krautrock and Techno, these tracks possess a spaced out psychedelic and experimental vibe but also maintain grooves that will adequately keep a dancefloor throbbing. Music to immerse oneself in. Enjoy!

Shoot the Lobster is a new house and techno label from NYC. The first release is a split 12 and features Grayson Revoir and Max McFerren, both DJ's and producers from NYC. Side one is two tracks by Grayson; Spackle is driving bass cabinet garage, and Get Stolen is spacey sweaty acid. On side Side B Max McFerren delivers rusty smokey hard bassline Panorama-ready house on One On All Times (Walk Track).

For this EP it's all about removing reliance on computers and unleashing pure vibes...
Damian Lazarus "sounding dope as usual!!!"
Adam Shelton "both tracks are great! love is always is a bomb! can't wait to play this"
Early feedback and support from Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Sascha Dive, Seth Troxler, Jeff K, D'julz, Robert Dietz, Matt Tolfrey...
Taking a step back into the past Franck Roger adopts a raw approach with his latest EP on Real Tone. Removing the comfort of working
via sequencers, Franck instills more of a 'live' feeling with the Love Is Always two-tracker.
Having been a prolific producer for quite some time now - he started making beats in 1999 - the Real Tone head honcho decided to inject
a raw spirit into his latest project by working around the live edit format. As the man himself says, "It's you with your external machines and your MPC".
A novel approach that has given birth to two warm, analogue-orientated tracks that evoke a sense of years gone by.
First up is the title track, Love Is Always, which evokes a deep sensual vibe. Building up from a funky, bouncing bassline the track uses its
simplicity to its advantage, taking charge with a smooth, soulful vocal clip as the bass continues to suck you in to its subterranean groove.
On the flip is When You Touch, again focused around a deeper, raw soundscape working off a traditional 4x4 beat and a hefty, driving
bassline. There's an aquatic feel to the track with a wobbling analogue groove and sultry organ chords swimming around the hypnotic vocal
hook. Gripping the dancefloor from the off and keeping you transfixed from beginning to end, its infectious spirit is impossible to shake off.
To add to the live nature of the tracks, they have been recorded straight to a DAT with the errors still intact. For this EP it's all about removing
reliance on computers and unleashing pure vibes... ...and we're sure you'll agree that these two tracks have vibes in abundance.
