Techno Vinyl New Releases - News

A very juicy 12"... the now out of print Actress remix finds it's way onto vinyl again (yey, it's so good!) and an unreleased Convextion re-slap of Terrence Dixon is dug out from the vault...mad drama style...TIP!

Vanguard Sound is back with it's newest record. Chris Mitchell's Phrenetic EP! is Vanguard Sound's second release.
Coming on the heels of the wildly popular Vanguard Sound vol. 3, this EP continues to uphold the aesthetic created with the first release, while simultaneously expanding it. The Phrenetic EP features four tracks from the mind and studio of a quickly rising North American talent that all walk the fine line between house and techno. All are very complex rhythmically, with both banging drums, and lush tones. A perfect 3 way marriage of classic Chicago, Detroit, and New York vibrations, the record contains set peaks, as well as transitional tracks that allow DJ's to traverse from house to techno and back. Already receiving massive amounts of positive feedback, this EP is proving to be a more than worthy follow up to VS001.

Limited 250 copies, vinyl only. The collaboration between Chicago producers Hakim Murphy and Ike Release brings a cosmic palette of futuristic sounds that give homage to the spirit of Chicago Jack. Organic collisions appeared with this 3-track EP.

Limited to 277 copies! 5th release by label owners Jasper Wolff and Maarten Mittendorff. Skudge on the remix! Played and supported by Rolando, Marcel Dettman, Peter Van Hoesen, Steffi, DVS1 etc

greaaattt !! incl Tony Rohr & Tom Hades Remix

A brand new 12'' filled with some very introspective and deep tracks, of what we consider simply pure & honest house music! With a slight techno feel that is... By the mysterious French producer 'RTX'. Sweet release!

The second release on Red Sonja is a remix by the American Luke Hess, with Detroit techno beats and dub touches that are characteristic for this artist; this all leads to an atmospherical track that breaks in a hysterical musicality above everything else. Vasco Ispirian makes a remix with a touch of house, techno and dub, an interpretation rich in sounds that culminate in crescendo. This track has a dynamic pace, without doubt, to dance.

Full length double LP from Stockholm's biggest sound, Skudge.. complete info soon... this is BIG!

Dolly's first release in 2012 and immediately setting a high standard for the year to come! This time Aroy Dee under his M>O>S> disguise is delivering the deepness, and this one could be very well one of his strongest releases to date.

Serious 'outside-the-box' house tracks on the Giegling sublabel again! Great strings and chords, weird samples & vocals and steady beats, deepness, groove, fun and even a bit of melancholy: it's all there. Garanteed to create a stir on the dancefloor.

Toby Leeming aka The Third Man returns with his 3rd EP for ART - and what a belter it is. Maintaining the high quality of previous releases Future Tense and More Than One both aim for the dancefloor whilst retaining the melodic and harmonic sophistication that made Tangier (ART-DDS4) and Messier 66 (ART-DDS2) such sought-after tracks.

Spanish artist Alex Under marks the progression of his work with the release of second album, 'La Máquina de Bolas', released in March 2012 through Soma Records. The acclaimed producer and CMYK label boss returns a more experienced, complex artist after a seven year album hiatus following 2005's Trapez LP release, 'Dispositivos De Mi Granja'.

***early support from Richie Hawtin, John Selway, Tom Hades, Clemens Neufeld, Dubfire, Stephane Signore , Axel Bartsch,
Concrete Djz, Roland M. Dill, and many moore...***

Two amazing remixes from Secret Cinema and Tiger Stripes are featured on the second part of "SLS" "Broken Floors" remixes, out soon - ***Vinyl Only on PRAXXIZ***
The original track was already quite something in itself. Secret Cinema's reinterpretation of SLS' "Broken Squares" takes us well and truly down the funky techno road, deftly retaining the glitchy flavour of the original, whilst adding a touch of that old school feeling and successfully delivering a peaktime bomb thats equally at home in either a techno or a tech-house set ! Witness some serious progression, a wickedly wobbling bass and some deliciously broken beats, making this huge track fun and accessible for dancers and DJ's alike.
Leave your expectations at the door. Mikael Nordgren, AKA Tiger Stripes, well known in techno's ahead of the curve circles for his massive slamming tunes like 'Eden' or for his tightly wrapped tech-house beats, surprises us, adeptly flirting with dub techno in his awesome reworking of SLS' "Four To The Floor". This is a very heavy minimal track, reminiscent more than anything else, of "deep-down-into-dub" artists like Quantec or Marco Furstenberg. The deeper of the four versions of "Four To The Floor" as released on Ground Factory. It retains the musical atmosphere of the original material while turning it into one of those intense and evocative slow heavy techno moments, with a relaxed mood and a subtle progression.

It seems that dance music is an everlasting quest for new and fresh hybrids. Dimitri Batsis aka Dans Mon Salon, introduces a work which will be loved by music enthusiasts and dj's alike on the upcoming Amplify label. His attempt to 'renovate' all rave feelings of the early 90's is obvious while keeping it fresh and contemporary.

The first in the new ''The Exaltics meets...'' series! is with non other than the great Shad T. Scott (Gosub, Dcast Dynamics) known for his unique style with lowslung basslines and melodies. 2 pure funk killer tracks from the veteran from Miami.

Continuing from where the recent album left off - anyone following Skudge's output will know they are not mere 'one-trick ponies' . The story continues to unfold on this incredibly strong 3 tracker from the moodiest sounding machines in Stockholm...TIP

Electric Envoy consist of Sven Dedek and Marco Polo and they relaunched one of their famous projects from the past into todays formats with three fat Techno and Detroit influenced tracks for their first release on AFU Limited !
sven started producing in 1992 with the commodore amiga and did a lot of tracks for games for this computer. .. in 1995 sven met alex bau (his toneman partner) with whom he collaborated to release an ep on chris liebing's 'touchtone' label that would be out in 1996 and be the beginning of a set of releases on renowned labels as touchtone, fine audio, shokoy, dave angel's rotation, pascal feos's pv-records and chris liebing's clau, not to mention ascend recordings of course. .. as a live performing artist, sven became quite talented and daring, so that his live acts have become an essential part of his musical existence. his performance at the world famous "omen" in 1998 was a milestone in sven's career: "playing there, means you are part of it!" "we spend more and more time in the studio together and we finally had the wish to establish our own label while releasing for other labels. 'toneman' has enabled them to form their musical identity, and it is also a quality trademark in the techno scene. .. sven..s main attitude is probably perfectionism. there is no limit when it comes to improvement of sound or liveappearences. although he learned to evaluate exactly, if the track maybe gets to complicated for the floor, he never stops trying to make his productions interesting and changing... as mentioned, sven has released eps for fine audio, parasound, energy industries, rotation (dave angel's), toneman (his own), clr (chris liebing..s), pv-records (pascal feos), predicaments (justin berkovi..s) and ascend recordings as well as for many more labels. for details take a look at the discography at his website http://www.myspace.com/svendedek!

Summer's gone, our yearly Tomorrowland madness has passed and so we hit your eardrums again with some techno. This time, straight outta Berlin, two tracks by our Berlin based twisted sister, Mary Velo. So of course, you can expect techno at it's rawest, and a truely suprising remix by Delsin wonderboy (and our hero) Conforce.

Limited to 278 copies! Sam McQueen is responsible here for some fine pieces of melodic techno. Supported and played By Rolando, DVS1, Peter Van Hoesen, Skudge, Ben Sims, Laurent Garnier, Jonas Kopp etc..

Following on from the dark atmosphere of 'Black Waves', Drums Of Death returns with the next in the sequence: 'Red Waves'. Four tracks of ecstatic electronics displaying it's makers love for techno and house music, all ramped up with big sounds and stripped back arrangements.'Tear The Box Apart' opens the EP with marching snares rolling under a massive lead synth. Toms, snares and claps... the classic palette of the 808 drum machine is well covered but it's the unique poly-rhythmic synth work and angular arrangements that set the track apart from those of retro-fetishists.Cheeky and fun, 'The Jerk' shows that simple elements do a big roller make. So addictive, it's the bouncing bass and buzzing lead that drag you along. A UK Garage groove takes control whilst the hollowed out barrel toms go for the gut.'Venice Beach' crafts bright chords that swirl and build. The infectious melody makes way for pitched bleeps and a towering 'Reese' bassline. Tested extensively in DoD's frenzied live shows, 'Venice Beach' is the glowing, melodic heart at the centre of the adrenaline-fuelled 'Red Waves' collection. In 'Bang The Drum' Drums Of Death talks to us through a vocoder... 'Just bang the drum and kill the noise, mute the synth and then the voice'. Hardly a ballad, this missive represents the newer Drums of Death sound... taught, electronic machine funk. Holding reverence for techno's godfathers but also for it's wayward children like Cristian Vogel, an elastic bassline lurches around rattling 909 hi-hats. 'Bang The Drum' rounds off a highly energetic EP that continues the 'Waves' odyssey of it's composer.

Holland's deep electronic specialist Conforce is to release his next full-length work, Escapism, on Delsin Records in November 2011.

repress His Live Acts and DJ Sets are as remarkable as his productions and you won't ever hear him playing any self-pleasing or incidental grooves.

Sampler #3 from the Global Communication 'Back In The Box' compilation album, the techno and ambient retrospective selected by Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard, back together again after a 15 year hiatus.

UK techno dude Mr James Ruskin pours on the release pressure here with the help of official techno country bumpkin MARK BROOM! Just back from remixing THE WURZELS, Broomy takes the tempo up a little adding RED2 style stabs whilst referring back to the solid sound palettes of the previous (and massive selling) REGIS collaboration of O/V/R (BP029)

12" EP (same as above 12") CD (containing 3 mixes in clear jewel case) Book (80p color book about Orion size: 8.5x8.5") Limited 150 set

Following on from the Ummo EP, which featured tracks from Quantec et al, Area 51 drops it's 4th release.

Borrowed Language returns with their third installment of genre agnostic electronics.
Following the explosive release of UNLTD & Israel Vines' "Distance No Object" EP (featured in Millie & Andrea's superb LWE podcast, and charted by the likes of DJ Pete & Grovskopa) was no easy feat, but Jeff Pietro proves to be more than up to the task with this brilliant 2-track 10''.

Journeys To The Deep Volume 2. Is an important and personal record to Nick and the Surface camp in general, paying tribute to family elder Jessica Dunton and her influence on Nick and his families lives, and her long fight to continue living against the odds!

"limited clear Vinyl"Just below steel and grain you'll find Vakula in the list of top Ukraine exports. Not one but two Shevchenko releases this time around! These sound absolutely massive on the soundsystem ... Intense dub pressure on the A-side with an epic Bergheim-style percussive techno track on the flip that weighs in at over 13 mins!! Pure, analogue, undulating house music!

Marc Romboy teams up with Paris The Black Fu (Detroit Grand Pubahs) to pay tribute to the dark mood of Detroit Techno!

New project by Ripperton himself... Tamed Musiq. A no-nonsens label approach with some of his finest music! Rippertons original is an emotive and intense track that we probably havent heard him do before! Already one of our favorite Ripperton tracks ever! Comes with a Skudge remix. We'll leave all the hyped limited bla bla out... these days everything on vinyl is limited!

Conforce goes deeper into Delsin terrain... a very cool four tracker!
Preceding the release of his next full length album, Dutchman Conforce has selected four tracks to release as the Dystopian Elements EP. But don't let the title fool you because, as is often the case with Boris Bunnik, there is a warm analogue/digital harmony to his sounds which is more than worthy of its place on Delsin.

Killer US-import EP of deep, bumping, soulful house and techno music warm, tearaway and analogue the old-school way icking off Soren Jahan and John Barera's brand new Supply imprint in fine style
