DIF ist ein Danceoor orientiertes Techno/House Projekt frisch von der Waterkant/Hamburg.
Geboren und ins Leben gerufen wurde die Deutsch Iranische Freundschaft vom Perser Bardia Salour und dem aus Norddeutschland stammenden Benjamin Eisenbeiss.
Da beide schon sehr lange leidenschaftliche DJs und in der gleichen Clublandschaft zu Hause sind, war es nur eine Frage der Zeit, wann man sich zusammen findet, um gemeinsam als
Produzententeam an Tracks zu basteln.
Während der oft langen Studiosessions stellte sich beim ein oder anderen Schnäpschen schnell heraus, dass die Zusammenkunft kein Zufall war. Nein, die Erfolgsformel war rasch gefunden: hundert prozentige Leidenschaft zur elektronischen Musik plus hundert prozentige gegenseitig gefühlte Sympathie.
Das Ergebnis ist Ihr erstes Vinyl-Release auf Paper Jet Recordings.

To release a new piece of music, it would seem, is to enter a competition for approval and appearances: who will play that track and how many will follow. Likes. Clicks. Transient signs of appreciation, or perhaps just vague nods of confirmation. But what about all those values inherent in music that just can't be quantified If merely one single person would listen to these songs and find herself or himself genuinely moved by them, wouldn't it be worth it We think so. We really do.

It has been quite a while since the last release from Jark Prongo on the Mojuba sublabel, but now we are back with some fresh music from the prolific Mr. Weisemann.

Kenneth Christiansen & Dennis Bøg presents Pattern Repeat part 7. After a litle break Pattern Repeat is back with a new EP. This time Pattern Repeat delievers 2 very powerfull Techno Tracks with heavy chords and dubby elements. Kenneth is also running the labels Echocord and Echocord Colour, and Dennis is known from his Baum Label, and his Resoe releases. Its still all about dub-techno but with a heavy metallic sound that defines the project Pattern Repeat. This one will be in Red Coloured vinyl. Both tracks will be perfect for the peaktime hour.

(B1's 'Evenement27') after his previously collaborative release with Alva Noto on Raster-Noton. Finally, this fantastic EP is topped
off with the supreme industrial heaviness of 'Painfull' by Sawlin - otherwise known for his work on the enigmatic Vault Series.

Thirtyonetwenty - the international dialling code for Amsterdam - is the city's hot Tech-House imprint co-founded by Sandy Huner and Dave Ellesmere in 2007, now run solely by Sandy.

After years of friendship and working in many house clubs, Danylo Aprile & Mario Roberti decide to give a name to their studio works...Fideles! Their music is purely house and tech house...with deep and funky sounds.
Jose M - has been injecting a fresh take on tech house and house since he arrived on the music scene and there's no sign of this talented and charismatic DJ/Producer slowing down.
Tacoman - A spicy recipe of jazz, funk, soul, energetic basslines & drums all mixed up to create his defining sound that is best served hot on the dancefloor.
Nick Daring loves variety in his sound and without any limitations. His passion for music takes him from House to Techno, not only in his DJ sets but also in his productions.
Sam Halvag, was already a musician before he started producing, he played the piano at the age of 7 and studied music till the age of 16. At 17 he produced his first house track.
Sandro Beninati & Marcel Vidal are two Italian boys who grew up with a strong passion for music. Their musical style ranges from deephouse to techouse. They have released on labels like: kittball, bla bla, microtech and now Amsterdam's Thirtyonetwenty.

New York is awash in emerging young dance producers of different stripes, and, with Your Go, the debut EP from Love Letters, a new name is added to the artists' community who together are revitalizing the long-dormant dance scene. Labels like L.I.E.S. and White Material have reveled in a youthful, raw sound, and Love Letters is no stranger to this, but his background in post punk and ambient music and his deep admiration for disco show through his sound clearly. The brief title track opens, the rolling kicks and submerged bass rebounding off each other and sending reverberations and the space signal bleeping in the distance. Drowned in amplifier hum and circling filter effects, 'Terraform' moves forward into melodic territory somewhere between Satie and Omar-S but keeps its noisy experimental edge intact. 'He Go' is a follow up to the title track, but extended and moving in splayed stance with staggered kicks, ratcheting up the tempo at the midpoint to bring an entirely different feeling and revealing itself as accomplished dub techno pushed onwards by insistent percussion. 'Put' cleans things up marginally but barrels into an off-kilter drum groove that centres itself gradually as it is joined by other voices - pads, deeply funky basslines, industrial atmospheres - developing in distinct sections for the longest, most complex piece on the EP.

UK is (again) a hot place for uncompromising stuff at the moment. It was inevitable Minimum Syndicat would soon welcome a leading producer of the new wave of british darker techno. George Lanham chose the french label to present the fiercer side of his sound, that Dave Clarke once described as "peaktime dancefloor destruction that mixes Beltram with Chicago and Hood with Faki". This one is a lesson in nosebleed severity with a modern twist. XXIst century techno body music. No hipster allowed.

"Dethroned" is your typical M-Syndicat dark room acid techno : weird but controled
energy, sinister soundwaves, 3 AM disorientation....and a lot of driving stuff in the rhythm section to keep the whole thing rockin' hard.

Then you have «Shenyang Dark Sword  », a militant warehouse march straight from the T-800 factory, with an omnious synth droning over tribal-industrial percussions. Relentless machinery for the sickest dancefloors.

The french-russian alliance of Jauzas The Shining and Dmitry Distant provides the aftermath with some gorgeous, crepuscular electro, somehow reminiscent of the great early Warp soundscapes.

Myth Music, the label run by Lando and Baron Castle (Boiler Room Berlin) returns for their sophomore release, with another 4 track EP from Lando himself sporting no title other than the catalogue number 'MYTH002'. The record kicks off with 'No Matter (Where Are You Are)', which embodies the primitive hypnotising rhythms that Lando's releases in the last 18 months have been known for. Listeners are then dropped into the deep end, with the dubbed out, subaquatic groove that is 'Posse Form'. On the other side of the record (and the galaxy) you can find 'Abaraxas II', the new national anthem of utopian Neptune to close out the EP. Preceding this otherworldly communication however, comes the B1 'Insyde', which is somehow the hidden surprise on the record. To best describe this sweaty bassline workout it might be best to just quote DVS1... 'Lando has the funk!'

Few new techno artists of the past years gained as much momentum as Recondite. His atmospheric, driving, bleak tracks are techno to the core. But they are much more. They are not Techno about Techno, music reprocessing other music, but music about emotion and experiences. In dealing with themes like longing, nostalgia, romanticism and the general uncertainty of being human, the productions of the thoughtful Bavarian introduce a new range of issues and emotions. His music is widely available through many releases on renowned labels such as Ghostly, Hotflush or Dystopian, but it never reveals its mystery. It is charming, yet serious, it is beautiful but dark. It is the soundtrack for a perfect night out, and it reveals a profound insight into the abyss of the human experience.

With Iffy, his third album, Recondite tries to introduce a wider audience to his basic interest: the feelings and emotions that are hidden in the dark. Recondite does not present the arrangements and structures on a silver platter, but leaves room for interpretation. He is not interested in getting blurry or arbitrary tough. Managing to put his moods in a nutshell he does not need words or voices to allow people to relate to his unique personal experience.

The dogs indecisive expression on Iffy's front cover is the major key emotion, leading through the whole record. It is driven by conflicting moods and despite all commitment the outcome always remains open. But there is existential gravity in its core, which makes Iffy more accessible than Recondite's previous works and therefor delivers his idea in yet another - different robe. Back in 2012, Benjamin Brunn played a heartbreaking ambient liveset at the almighty Golden Pudel Club, Hamburg. His Set was recorded and released as a CD on Pudel Produkte. As it was the perfect soundtrack for the lazy days at Smallville Recordstore, we all felt the urge to release this on Vinyl- and during a blurry Smallville night at Pudel, we decided to do it. Back in 2010, Boris Bunnik released his first full-length album, Machine Conspiracy, through the now defunct Meanwhile label. Delsin are re-issuing it along with Love & Hate, the EP that came at the same time and that features three tracks from the album. Machine Conspiracy came a few years after Conforce had first emerged and was a magnificent dub, techno and electro opus that made for a complete listen from start to finish as well as offering up some key dancefloor tracks. Showcasing the skills that have since made Conforce a household name in underground circles, the album is full of analogue invention, seriously moody atmospheres and non standard textures, patterns and feelings. Released on CD, digitally, black vinyl and on limited transparent vinyl, this is an album every one needs in their collection.

A voyage on the more experimental side of techno as Myles delivers the same "RAW" trademark sound we love but this time he digs deeper with moods and sound textures to create something beautiful for our ears.

The second release on Silver Ash Recordings solidifies the labels footprint with a with a new track entitled 'Karri' (Unknown Artist) alongside a peerless remix of 'DMTC' by none other than Fluxion.


Unknown Artist - 'Karri' presents more analogue-sounding dub techno from the undisclosed artist. A solid percussive workout over shuffling chord stabs brings to mind productions by Rene Pawlowitz.


Fluxion's remix of DMTC (Unknown Artist - SA#001) is a rumbling journey of deep techno which cleverly references the original work whilst bringing an entirely new feel. This remix is more closely aligned with Fluxion's earlier work which will no doubt please die-hard Fluxion fanatics and the uninitiated alike.


This release is limited to 300 hand-stamped copies on 10" clear vinyl, each with a download code for digital versions of the tracks.

Ukrainian duo Woo York explore more deep Techno with 2nd Soma release.

Ukrainian based duo Woo York mark their second release on on Soma with yet more deep, dark underground vibes on the Smoke Signal EP. After the huge success generated from Ancient Light earlier last year it seemed natural to keep up with the duo's output and once again the pair have deliver two perfectly warped Techno bombs

Title track Smoke Signal is a deep, evolving monster growing from resonating sub bass and cleverly crafted percussion. Woo York strip things back for this one as dark, brooding synths ping through stuttered and looping beats. A perfect dance floor tool.

Cold Welding drops next, building from the depths out a hollowed out, distorted core leading slowly into a fierce, kicking loop. More stripped percussion keep the track flowing as ethereal atmospheres ebbs out in the background giving this track a much deeper edge than you would think.

Woo York have crafted two excellent Techno tools, born from their amazing live sets. With even more material on the way from them they are fast becoming core artists of an ever-evolving Soma.

The two long time mates Thomas P. Heckmann and Gez Varley aka G-Man finally release their studio sessions they recorded over a short period of time in 2011.
Based mainly on live production and using funny and long obsolete instruments and samplers, they managed to throw their long history in music together for these fun sessions. The EP starts with the title track DRIVE INN, very minimal in the production and reduced to the main ingredients a great track needs and definitely to be experienced in a nice club with decent PA. This one also gets a very fine treatment by the Detroit duo AUX 88 as a Mad Scientist remix !
The flipside starts with the Chicago influenced BACKPACK tune, very Techno-House in it's appearance, but not to be mixed up with Tech-House ! Nice swirly and pushing FMed basslines carry this tune into the subconscious.
And we finish off this package with the trippy and dubby SIDEWINDER, a great builder with fancy and psychedelic effects and deepness...

Everything is a function of that that preceded it. We are the cuttings of our past and we are put back together only to cut, and be cut up again....and so the sequence will continue, for good and for bad, for better and for worse .... everything true is harmony .... everything true is a mistake .... we are but the harmony of our spheres .... surrounded by music ... echoing the past as we hurtle towards the future.

Krasnodar, located around 1500km due south of Moscow is where Aleksander Tochilkin (Kott) calls home. From this city, deep in the south of the giant Russian state, Kott crafts and creates even deeper cuts of house music.

This, his debut EP for Italian imprint Dabit, is made up of three original tracks and remix by Dave Scott. "Physics" is firmly rooted in the classic house ethos, chopped vocals and glorious strings build an impressive backdrop for the swinging hats and off beat snares. It's hard to listen to this track without thinking about the sun.

Next up is Dave Scott's remix of 'Physics'. From the outset the remix is a much more expansive take on the original. Retaining the strings from the Kott version and bringing them right up in the mix. Scott manages to continually build the track, releasing the tension just at the right moments.

The first track on the flip side entitled 'Buddha My Father' lulls you in over a long intro. Throbbing synths are juxtaposed with the sound of birds singing their dawn chorus culminating with a drop that should please techno and house heads equally.

Last up on the EP, we have "Flotyl". A track which indulges Kott's more experimental tendencies and drops the heart rate of the EP a notch or two. Dubbed synth stabs roll across the track whilst glassy keys highlight the peaks and troughs, all the while the shuffling percussion and drums keep the groove locked and smooth.

*After more than two decades of behind the scenes collaboration Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald present Borderland - their debut collaborative album to be released this summer on Tresor Records.

*The album - made up of 8 sequences, which seamlessly blend the styles of both masters - was recorded at the beginning of 2013 over various studio sessions in Berlin and will be released as a series of three 12"s and a CD album.
Limited to 500 units, pressed on heavy vinyl and packed in hefty sleeves, this is the second chapter in a series of three 12' vinyls. Footprints was the second work to be produced in the Borderland studio sessions. A robust groove reminiscent of earlier collaboration between both legends such as the infamous 'Starlight' released on Metroplex eighteen years ago.
On the B-side, Mars Garden returns to the Electric Garden theme with a high dose of ultra deep gritty funk.
Together with a live show being debuted in May at MUTEK festival - the record gives common voice to two independent yet mutually supporting musical journeys, achieving a singular expression of club-orientated electronic music and the freedom of organic musical experimentation.

The second Molten Moods release contains works by Natan H, Jonas Friedlich, Jonas Yamer, Einer Weniger and Mono.Mental. Like its predecessor this EP aims at creating coherence through certain types of grooves and atmospheres rather than genre criteria. In the time since then it's quietly become a bit of an iconic reflection for a post-rave generation, presenting a non-trivial nostalgia trip that somehow sounds like a digitally diffused, skeletal take on Gas, Basic Channel or Ross 154. It was created by applying a mathematical process known as a discrete Fourier transform upon a number of late '90s and '00s dance anthems, effectively sieving their contents for all its time data and discarding this half of the info, leaving behind the frequencies and noise from the original recordings. What remains is a haunting spectral impression: snare hits smeared as a thin layer of noise over the entire recording, single synth notes become pulsating chords spanning the whole track; rending anthemic metaphysics as a sublime murmuration of intangible memories and perhaps even simulating the effect of an MDMA-induced cultural amnesia, to our mashed minds at least. Due to vinyl's inherent frequency limitations, the piece's unique, high-end timbral thizz sounds subtly altered on this version, with pulses pronounced just enough for adventurous DJs, and also features the bonus of a pre-installed 33rpm version if you really want to break it down. Whether considered as a critique of academic music's neurotically formal processes or as an arguably transcendent and tantalisingly emotive record, Summer Mix should serve as a fine primer to Theo Burt's practice in advance of his keenly awaited 'Gloss' album for Lorenzo Senni's Presto! label. 'Summer Mix' has become a deeply valued part of our listening lives, and we only hope that more people will get as much enjoyment from it as we do.

Titled Alcatraz", André Galluzzi releases a pulsating symbiosis of intense snapshots from excessive clubnights and deeply pervasive soundscapes. On powerful wings and with full range, Alcatraz' glides through the various spheres of this planet called Techno. With each beat, every snare and bassline, André Galluzzi is fascinating mind, body and soul. Similar to his live-sets the debut album has a captivating conceptual build, gaining speed and intensity steadily, and turning the world upside down for a moment. Alcatraz' delivers a colourful and multifaceted blend of driving grooves and hypnotic beat-combinations, where Galluzzi drapes his listeners in distinctive analog warmth. Ever since launching his production career at the turn of the century, dub-techno auteur Scott Monteith has been nothing if not deeply prolific. The Canadian-born, Berlin-based producer's nine Deadbeat albums and nearly two-dozen singles represent one of most prolific and consistently rewarding catalogues in 21st century electronic-music canon. It's a spectacular run of records that continues to hit new heights, as witnessed with the widespread acclaim that met his most recent album with Paul St. Hilaire, The Infinity Dub Sessions. Continuing the reissue campaign of his early output that began with 2001's Primordia last year, Monteith's BLKRTZ imprint is now set to release a massive 6-vinyl box set of his most iconic Montreal albums: 2002's Wild Life Documentaries, 2004's Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and 2005's New World Observer.

The Swedish trance duo Son Kite is back, releasing their first album in ten years. And they are on a mission.
"Dancing is a very important ritual. Our main mission as artists is to make people get into this trance state", they say.
Since the release of their third album "Colours" in 2004, Marcus Henriksson and Sebastian Mullaert have been focusing on their other project Minilogue, touring the world and gaining increasing popularity in the house and techno scene.
With "Prisma", released on November 17th and consisting of seven tracks made between 2007 and 2014, the duo leaps back to the endless energy and enthusiasm they felt when they first started making music together in 1996. And back to what it's all essentially about, according to the two musicians: Getting into the all-important dance ritual and reaching the trance state.

The restless energy on the dancefloors has increased over the last ten years, the duo points out. Dj-sets are filled with incessant peaks, hunting for explosions and "hands in the air" moments. The crowd gets addicted to this hit effect, projecting restless energy back to the dj who in turn starts using bass drops and similar ego-boosting tricks every 5 minutes, trying to please the crowd and harvest their reactions.
"Dancing for eight hours and really uniting with the music is a reminder that this is how it could be with everything you do. It's a tool to really connect to life. The sound of our music is formed by this aim", Sebastian says.
Releasing the album on vinyl has been very important to the duo, as well as using analogue equipment in making the tracks.
"The analogue equipment like the drum machines and the sequencers are affected by their surroundings, by all the vibrations and the feelings in the room and by you standing next to them. With the analogue equipment your access to the subconscious is a lot more direct. And that's the beauty of it. To express what is inside of you and let other people feel that. That's what it's all about," Marcus says.

BlueCube Records Gold Edition An American techno Dj/Producer, Berlin transplant who is also the mastering engineer of his own mastering company, Manmade Mastering, Tim Xavier is well respected in the world of techno. With a history as a once-hard techno Dj turned minimal trendsetter, his style touches on all points of electronic music, with an undeniable talent and technical skill.

Sphere Gear is the latest chapter in a musical journey that began in 1999 with Weekend World Recordings and more recently evolved into Shadow Story, the label and home of Bradford duo Martin Cartledge and Alexander Church, aka Dronelock, and Serbian duo Boriz Noize and Dekode, aka Ontal. Operating as an offshoot of Shadow Story, the Sphere Gear imprint will release just 10 limited-press vinyl releases in its existence.

Dronelock kick off Sphere Gear's debut outing with 'Theia', a 5-track EP that delves into the darkest reaches of the duo's abstract electronic world. The title track is a potent, claustrophobic opener, with chopper blades, caustic drones and eerie synth shimmers making for a turbulent and unsettling trip. 'Morphia' offers an antidote, washing over the senses with its all-consuming, ethereal ambience, before the menacing electro of 'The Oath' drags you right back out of the dream state.

'In Human Form' tests the senses further, a schizophrenic soundscape that balances dead silence and abrasive noise, leaving the EP to conclude with the dystopian techno march of 'Once Again', an unruly kick drum call-to-arms.

All five tracks will be available on the limited edition vinyl release, while 'Theia' and 'The Oath' will also be available as a digital download.

Flipsides 'Morse Mode' ups the tempo whilst still keeping the duos signature rough vibe whilst 'Crackling' rounds things off nicely, more streamlined than the previous tracks with a touch of dub techno thrown in for good measure to make a brilliant end to a superbly balanced package.

Mojuba core member Nick Solé is ready to unleash his unique deep house power on the album format.
His debut LP entitled 'Flowers For You' will be ready within the next few months to hit the streets in
early summer. This release can be seen as a preamble to his debut and shows Nick going some new
ways in his sound universe, the first track was done as an experiment for a friend and created entirely
with samples of paper as it used by architects and engineers, the second track a carefully constructed
downtempo jam which shows us Nick's love for special sound aesthetics. This record is a special vinyl

Finnish worldtraveling musicmaker Arttu delivers the goods once again for Clone Royal Oak. Three tracks of his own brand of 'evvy funk.

Tokyo-based Ryo Murakami has been releasing slightly minimal-inflected house music since 2007. His club-oriented work has always been subtly atmospheric and deliberately soft-spoken and non-confrontational, conjuring up an original sound that fits to modern-day house music like a glove. He co-runs and releases on the Panrecords label and has also published his music on Dessous, Poker Flat, Baud, Curle, etc. His 2013 album "Depth Of Decay" signaled a change towards a more experimental, ambient-based sound. Meakusma is proud to present these two new tracks that combine the forward momentum of his previous work with his new-found experimental approach. Both tracks play with atmosphere and impact, are essentially slow burners that through Murakami's subtle play with dynamics and change become incredibly moving and abstracted studies into groove and ambient sound. Cherry on the cake is the Porter Ricks remix, their first 'production under the Porter Ricks moniker since their 2002 Nine Inch Nails remix. Here they catapult the Porter Ricks sound into today, without losing their trademark characteristics. A hazy glow that is as revealing as it is mystifying covers the track, whilst the basis of it is, in the best Porter Ricks tradition, a surprisingly funky twist on the rhythm and bass of the original track.

Sometimes people from different environmental backgrounds cross paths with one another through similar interests, and they notice that they have more in common then a certain taste in music alone. Boris Bunnik (aka Conforce) is hailing from the small scenic Dutch island Terschelling, that can be seen as the complete opposite environmental background as the dirty streets of Rotterdam's South Side that drew the first guidelines for Frustrated Funk's watchword: Mad Drama From Everyday Life. Although the background is opposite, the drama and struggle of daily life seem to have more similarities then one would expect. Struggling creative minds searching for correct paths, fighting to keep focused with daily routines, burning ships, moving forward, trying to bend negativity into something positive, writing music as an outlet for their compulsive need to create. Prologue continues with the Portefeuille Series and present with number 3 new Prologue faces for this release. First is Etapp Kyle, recently released on Ben Klocks 'Clockworks' with an unbelievable emotional techno track. Second is a complete new producer face from Italy called Mod21. Mod21 delivers a biological living techno monster. Last on the EP are Artefakt know the dutch Field Recordings with deepest melancholic grooves for the dance floor. We are very exited about this release and we are sure we see all soon again on Prologue.

Freund der Familie have been in the Dub Techno scene for a long time and they certainly have delivered very fine releases on their own label and a superb remix for Sven Weisemann on our label Telrae. So this is their first solo 10 on Telrae. -Pacifier- is a brilliant sonic experience. Time is running...and it seems like we just woke up out of our interstellar sleep-mode as we are facing the arrival of the 14th edition of the almighty COCOON RECORDINGS COMPILATION. Starting with the letter 'A' we reached 'N' meanwhile which probably marks one of the longest running techno-compilation-series ever around. The list of the featured artists is amazing and almost endless. Let's start with Konstantin Sibold & Leif Müller who gave us 'Kolibri", a great slowed down techno-tune that brings us back to the high days of Alter Ego when Harthouse released big listening and electronica albums. Track number two by Julian Perez follows that feeling and explores the deep and dubby sides of techno, too. A perfect transition to Frankfurt homeboy Markus Fix. It's dub again however spiced up with hypnotic strings and a clubby kickdrum shaking our bass bins! With track number four, 'Compilation N' opens the door to proper and kicking club music.

Here are four tracks that pay homage to Berlin's techno roots. Just as much well-timed as 'out of time', these four tracks are underground slabs of raw but sophisticated, daftly funky techno power!"

Gunnar Haslam is a long-time regular at The Mister. By day he's a scholar of particle physics and signal processing, and by night he makes very heady music, some of which has made its way onto their very first ten-inch release.

The Sub Squared label presents an EP by Kloke, a Melbourne based producer who captures the atmosphere and vibe of a variety of his native Britain's forms of electronic music without merely rehashing past genres: Jungle, Dubstep, Grime, Ambient and Techno are distilled into his original but familiar soundscapes. Kloke's back catalogue includes releases on Entrada, Granholme and Styles Upon Styles. On the first side the tracks are beat driven; two tracks with distorted drum machine at 120bpm providing the bones for reflective harmonic and melodic parts that are reminiscent of Jungle or Breakbeat Hardcore. The second side of the record is a mini album in itself; seventeen minutes of beatless music in three tracks. 'Ember' matches staccato rhythmic elements to thick lush pads, 'Yeman' employs a piano and cymbal sample over melancholy tones. The title track of the EP is a 10 minute medley of ambient music that ranges through moods of warmth, desolate electronic bleakness, unsettling menace and skin tingling nostalgia

Back in April, Slovenia's Valentino Kanzyani dropped the first half of a two part underground house EP on Cadenza, titled 'Love & Gratitude EP1. It was his debut release on Luciano's label, and was dark and funky for the most part, with the majority of the four tracks' energy coming from percussion and raw beats (Kanzyani is currently working on an album for Cadenza, which will contain mainly new and unreleased tracks). 'Love & Gratitude EP2 is more heady and hypnotic. Throbbing beats and relentless kick drums drive the rhythms forward, whilst swirling synthesizers and experimental techno soundscapes diffuse the grooves, creating contrast and tonal changes. If anything, the gentle melodies and subtle musicality of Kanzyani's three new original tracks here (the fourth track is a dub edit of the last EP's El Circulo De La Vida cut) create a kind of dancefloor psycheism, where the mind moves in a different spatial plane to the feet, encouraging you to drift off into alternate dimensions. The first track 'Mirvan' is the heaviest cut on the EP, and has a tension and vibe similar to the raw rhythms that Berghain residents Ben Klock or Marcel Dettmann might play at the Berlin techno temple. When some pads fade in around the 2:30 mark, you can sense Kanzyani's desires to coerce you into a dreamlike state. The sounds are infinite and all pervasive, like outer space, forever expanding beyond the reaches of any known logic or meaning. The beats are drowned out at points by the ever-growing black hole of sound, however the drumming is reliable and constant, like an engine that never stutters. The second track 'Chanta Lopez' is more housey, with a tangible bassline and more swing in the groove. Loose claps on alternating delay patterns keep the tension high in the first part of the track, before a metallic, machine-like synth cranks into gear. Unlike 'Mirvan', the synth has a recognizable melody and moves with purpose. At times, the synth combinations almost turn into an aco

It feels like only a moment ago that we welcomed Russian prodigy Andrey Pushkarev to the Circus Company fold with the Gingo Biloba 12, and after that refined exercise in stripped down dancefloor aesthetics it's gives us great pleasure to bring him back in for another three-pronged demonstration of his considerable studio talent. The core principles laid out in that first EP are back in abundance, with Pushkarev expanding on his love of dubbed-out dance music with a fresh batch of rhythms and pulses custom-made to ensnare the subconscious in that time-honoured tradition of meditative house and techno. 'Between The Mountains' makes no attempt to mask the influence of Basic Channel looming overhead, letting the seductive throb of dub techno chords echo through a crisp arrangement of drum machine beats that speak to the building blocks of electro in their mechanical construction. Taking a tougher approach from the outset, 'River' instantly sets itself apart as a more house-orientated affair, thanks in no small part to the solid beat that underpins the track. The insistent synth that stalks in the lower register of the mix drives the track forwards while spine-tingling washes of metallic melody appear intermittently to break up the grooving thrust of the drums. As if the first two cuts weren't deep enough, 'A First Snow' heads even further into hypnotic territory that maximises on the impact of choice reverbs and alluring keys to summon up a surprisingly funky blend of minimal house and dub-wise warmth. It's the little details that allow Pushkarev's skill to shine through, creating sublime dancefloor moments from the most delicate of touches. When considered control and pristine production can result in monotonous output, our Russian friend shows just how captivating the subtle approach can be.

The experience of Marco Zenker (Ilian Tape,etc) creates a rhythmic and lovely remix. The last track on this EP is a more dub and chill-out version of Youandewan, who is always in good shape. Marko Fürstenberg - 'Ghosts From The Past' In certain ever present moments, the ghosts from the past are following us. And sometimes they do so in order to gently help us on our way. We can find this theme on Marko Fürstenberg's latest release 'Ghosts From The Past'. Marko, currently living in Leipzig, has been experimenting with sound since 1999. Rooted in classical Dubtechno, he not only knows how to interpret it, he's extending it further with his own personal aesthetic. In 2001, his first releases on a number of netlabels gained him a broad listenership. Then in 2003, his first album 'Gesamtlaufzeit' was born. (Then years later, a son was born as well, but we'll get back to that.) Since 2005, Marko has been constantly releasing Vinyl on labels like Ornaments, A.r.t.less, Echocord Colour and Rotary Cocktail. And also remixes for labels such as Resopal, Telrae, Freund der Familie, and many more, which all demonstrates the quality and sheer competence of his work. With his new album 'Ghosts From The Past', Mr. Fürstenberg doesn't say goodbye to an old chapter, but he's rather building a bridge to a new one. Familiar elements are the mortar to a complete musical piece, with an extended foundation, new accents, and a fresh face. GFTP is a musical retrospective of a new way of life - with a child - that was born in November 2010. The conception and creation of this album began to take form in parallel to that of his unborn son, as an almost aural twin. Marko's wife helped with the album artwork while also carrying a little Marko inside her. So again the past was knocking on the door. Good morning! Meanwhile, over the three and a half years in production, Marko was also actively involving his now toddler child in the sound research for his new album. 'Stolbenkraft' includes made-up vocalizations from his son, mixed with a sneeze to an euphony. In 'Woahhh', he's exploring the playful dispute of his offspring with several toys, e.g. a Thai wooden frog, amongst others. His tendency for his style of pleasant interweaving sound experimentation is shown on the track 'Piano', which reconstitutes moments of a piano concert, while putting them into new structures. Quite some time has passed in between each production, and the diverse accents of time in which this came together, can be heard. Everything on this album melds together organically. On 'GFTP', the Zeitgeist is touched, an Arabic singer can find her spotlight in a colourful soundscape, which alternately holds and catches us, and then ultimately let's us go again.

After the highly anticipated release of his third studio album DECAY, Efdemin presents the first part of a remix series featuring his favourite producers.
Bristol's underground hero Asusu inflates the reduced album opener "Some Kind Of Up And Down Yes" with deepest bass and beautiful scapes to the max in a true Photek-Style. Last year's "Control" by Staffan Linzatti was one of the favourite constants to be played in every Efdemin or Lawrence set. Luckily his version of "Solaris" is another epic hymn here with futuristic enhancements of the third kind.The most extraordinary piece on "Decay Version's Part" 1 is The Borderland State's rework of "Parallaxis". Efdemin's studio-mate John Gürtler recorded that beauty with adding acoustic instruments only and sounds like a meeting of Moondog with Wim Mertens. 
Space is the place!

A bad ass behind the decks, and in the studio since 1998...his productions ended up on some bigger techno labels as well as more obscure imprints. Along with Ian Lehman, he forged the well-received 'Attack People' live performance...bringing his show across the US, to South America, and Europe as well. When he's not on tour with his DJ sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of Minneapolis's biggest techno parties. In addition, he also manages his labels Abiotic Recordings and Enemy Records, which both receive wide support from the techno community.

Producer CRISTIAN VOGEL, born in Chile and in raised in Bristol, England, represents an inner turmoil within the history of electronic music and techno. Like only a few other artists such as Aphex Twin, he personifies the second wave of techno during which authorship, previously pronounced dead, returned in full force. The former punk, who had completed studies in composition (20th century classical music in Sussex) conveyed a powerful force in his music, which now finds its place very naturally as electronic music; back then, it did more than just shake up the concepts of techno. Complex and intricate rhythms (Süddeutsche Zeitung) dig deep chasms in dark (listening) spaces.

In 1996, together with JAMIE LIDELL as SUPER_COLLIDER, he made a final attempt to breathe life into electronic music, which was still primarily seen as dance/rave/club music, and produced clustered break funk music that was so relevant to its time that many considered it more a music of the future: science fiction for the dance floor. Although the project was not a failure, it did not succeed even halfway in meeting the expectations of an artist who was rather perplexed by the lack of interest he perceived in others in music as art and research. Vogel believes that music has a will to unfold, like a jungle from the undergrowth of industrial cities where music is thought of as an attack and a defense.
Seemingly out of disappointment in the predictably declining hedonism of the scene, he moved to Barcelona and bound his explosive ideas to more accessible formats, founded labels, created networks (No Future, Sleep Debt) and, at the same time, revisited his early days by working more and more on formats such as music for ballet and similar concepts. He also sought freedom precisely in what was referred to as functional electronic music through conceptual and serious endeavors in the artistic sense.
Vogel went under for a time and lived in Vienna before arriving in Berlin nearly two years ago, where he made his first new and daring attempt to assimilate everything that electronic music represented to him on one album: 'The Inertials' on SHITKATAPULT.
