Following the much lauded release of his 'Reformers' VA extended player in 2017, French techno goliath and FORM Music head honcho, POPOF, now announces the second instalment of the critically acclaimed vinyl-only series - 'Reformers Vol. 2'
Due for release in early 2019, Reformers Vol. 2 is an exclusive, vinyl-only package featuring four of the heaviest cuts released on
FORM Music over the course of 2018. Leading by example, label boss POPOF kicks off proceedings with the mighty 'Bowo' - a perfect, tension filled opener, packed with mind-melting synths, warped vocals and crisp drum loops, each used to devastating effect. The slightly slower tempo of POPOF's intro paves the way for the earth-shattering sub-bass of UMEK's 'Quest Chain', as the Slovenian veteran and 1605 Music Therapy boss steps up to the plate with a white knuckle ride through saw-tooth bass and slamming kicks. Set About co-founder Metodi Hristov provides the penultimate track of the package with his dark, hard-hitting remix of Apollo 84's 'Mantis',before rising French compatriot The Reactivitz hits home with the unrelenting 'Seth', to complete another titanic release on FORM Music.

Another slamming release from veteran producers Jay Lumen (Saved / Mistakes) and Gary Beck (Soma / Perc Trax). On their own they are pretty amazing so imagine what they are like when their talents are combined.

What started as an underground techno label in the early 90's, Juice Records typified the head in the clouds ambition of the techno generation by both sound and action. Anything was possible and similar minds would be reached through the vinyl medium. By the mid 90's, Juice Records established itself as a southern beacon to the techno and house music movement.

… but many people would have little knowledge of where the label sits in todays music sphere. Juice Records, wether by choice or default have remained free from the uber industry of dance music but continue to represent with our Adelaide based music activities.

What started as casual discussions about Antony's studio activities with label owner, Donato, soon progressed to talk of an album. A couple of years and many iterations would follow till the vision was clear. Juice 020 highlights the musical existence that Antony commits too. It goes beyond the drum machine and synthesiser sounds the label would be known for and embraces a wider spectrum with use of a Yamaha baby grand, Fender Rhodes, Washburn bass and Yamaha Electone E-75.

With a definitive genre hard to pin on the album, Juice 020 remains very much a traditional Juice Record. It is a clear example of what Adelaide happenings have been missed by the global industry while it plays with a techno formula that goes beyond our underground imaginings.

''Based in Flint, Michigan, USA the four young sons of an electrician welded together their debut album. This album, titled Elektroworld, is a personal tribute to the well known pioneers of the electro-disco-beat; Kraftwerk.'' Clone Classic Cuts reissue of the illustrious Elecktroids' one and only album from 1995.

The latest release from Sum Over Histories comes from a new project by label head Frank Beckers and his partner Birgit.

Tension, the first EP from Flageolet, is a 4-track experimental project that combines field recordings and soundscapes with keys, bass, harmonies and percussion. The result is emotive, provoking electronica that’s lightyears away from Frankey’s usual house and techno projects, yet his energy and production style makes his influence
recognisable.

Frankey and Birgit have been collaborating ever since they met in 2001 when Birgit sang vocals on several of Frankey’s tracks, including hugely successful “Switch.” The pair enjoyed collaborating so much that Frankey taught Birgit some basic Ableton skills and gave her a field recorder. Birgit would collect sound-sources, and her and Frankey would select their favorites together. They’d start each track with the most unique sound they could find, which Frankey would build on using keys, synths, percussion and harmonies.

Finnish Inceptum Records returns powerfully with this electro & detroit techno oriented four-tracker from the label boss Forehard.

In the Motorhome EP (Inceptum005) Forehard takes his listener in a journey through his inspirations as well as musical interests – as he firmly builds musical mosaic where every sound finds its unique place.

The A-side begins with a dreamy title track that takes you to the deep and rolling sounds of the motor city.

A-side ends with an epic acid electro with tasty bassline and melancholic melodies which gives light into darkness.

The first track of B-side is an iconic and powerful melodic techno track.
Safe warm pads, percussive drum work and chicago style bassline combines it all into one.

Last track of this ep is totally dancefloor burner, which shows producer’s many-sided talent.

This electro is created from bottom of the black heart of the deep blood of a dark and dirty acid sewers.

Blueprint returns for its first release of 2019 with a new EP from the gifted mind of label boss, James Ruskin.
'Reality Broadcast Off' consists of three abundantly immersive cuts from this UK Techno pioneer. The EP opens with its searing title track and an ever-developing kaleidoscope of percussion. 'We Are Everywhere' follows, blending metallic sounds with a warmer groove, before the compressed acidity of 'Disaffection', which was recently premiered on Marcel
Dettmann's Residency show on BBC Radio 1, rounds off this three-pronged attack.

Multitalented artist Lerosa arrives on Propersound for the sharp label's 5th entry; here are 5 moody selections, stylistic with ominous to colorful aquatic territories of raw Electro, finely crafted by Lerosa. This fresh repress also includes exclusive color artwork.

Metamorphic is happy to announce a new artist to the label family! MirrorTouch is a new project from London-based producer Tim Van Zandyke. The sound of Mirror Touch can best be described by a moment in time when mid 90's trax records from the US Midwest combined techno's brutalist grooves with layers of emotive harmonies harking back to Detroit's funk, soul and jazz legacy. Then techno sound hurtled forward, blazing new paths of experimentation, minimalism and hypnosis. MirrorTouch points back to that magic moment when Techno emerged from Detroit, with a series of hardware tracks that combine emotional rawness with the flow of 21st century techno.

DJ Nobu & Katsunori Sawa are Nobusawa. A true auteur of hyper functional dance floor Techno production trades blows with one of the genre's most lauded DJ's.

Young Irish-producer Rebuke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebuke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being 'a bit too weird', but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP 'is something I've never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction'.

On Along Came Polly, Rebuke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebuke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

Cymawax is proud to present the work of the blood brothers (Luca & Daniele Ciaccia) Sibling. Inside Outside EP is an expression of the brothers passion for modern dance-floor friendly dub sonorities, and an intriguing introduction to who they are musically. Remixer Marco Bruno with his 'Dub Vision' completes the record giving it a proper techno touch with a sick groove and stunning approach to these warm and hypnotizing atmospheres.

For the 24th release of Zodiak Commune Records, Florence based underground Buio Club owner Sour has squeezed the best out of his analog gear collection! These tracks will get the crowd straight into pure acid bless. Hypnotizing 303 basslines are supported by solid kickdrums, rattling hats and clever percussion. The subtle synths supply that extra dimension where we all like to be. This 4 tracker will supply you with some serious dancefloor fuel, that will keep the crowd craving for more.

"Dusk"
Uplifting acid for the dancefloor, driven by solid kicks and a fast pulsating bassline. However uplifting this track may be, it will subtly drag you into dusk as the track progresses.

"Ataraxis"
While your body and eardrums receive some serious stimulation, mental stress or anxiety will be absent, overruled by this acid banger in it's purest form.

"Hexa"
With Hexa, Sour knows how to roll the dice again. Acid lines gently creep into the pounding beats creating mayhem on the dancefloor.

"Portal"
Energetic percussion pushes you into the Portal, wondering what's on the other side. Exiting hypnotized and disoriented, not knowing what happened and wondering what it is that makes you feel so fulfilled.

Second part of The Slaves Of Darkness, mix of styles from dj WEB, FRNK, Gee M, Sorog, Phase O'Matic and Odic Force... HELL YEAH

Drumcode mainstay Bart Skils links up with emerging DJ/producer Weska for a maiden collaboration.

The duo first met in 2013 when Bart played Toronto’s iconic Coda, where Weska was a regular.

In friendship and in music, they clicked effortlessly. Since then, the Dutchman has become one of DC’s most vital contributors, releasing a consistent stream of standout productions on the label, highlighted by the now-classic ‘Your Mind’ with Adam Beyer.

Meanwhile the rhythmic power of Weska’s productions caught the ear of Beyer who gave the young Canadian his debut on the imprint with ‘Other Places’ when ‘A-Sides Vol.7’ dropped last summer.

When Weska migrated to Berlin a plan was hatched to collaborate, with the pair swapping ideas back and forth, before linking up in Amsterdam to finish the work.

The propulsive ‘Polarize’ EP is the result, a pair of cuts that have highlighted Beyer’s gigs at Department Festival in Stockholm, Junction 2 and his behemoth B2B with Cirez D at EDC Vegas.

The title cut packs a punch with rugged basslines and pin-sharp percussion, while stabs of melody dip in and out with euphoric effect. ‘Lost On You’ is a heady trip into the abyss with a sinister vocal line and powerful climax.

Croatian artist Insolate invites the likes of Ben Sims, Pfirter, Amotik, Under Black Helmet, and more to remix tracks from her debut album entitled ‘Order is Chaos’ on her Out of Place imprint.

Ospiel debuts on SNTS' label Sacred Court with a dark and cutting-edge industrial techno EP.

Big Exchange features four distinct tracks tethered in Popmix’s unmistakable universe that is best described as a 90’s-inspired contemporary exploration of a thematic soundscape. Popmix finds balance in quirky, hyper ecstatic themes while rooting himself ultimately in a cultivated, refined skill set. The hard transitions between tracks give space for gratifying escalations into a range of euphoric textures from melodic, acidic basslines to gleeful synths and thrumming drum patterns.

“The record is a product of all the joyfulness in file sharing and youtube diving I’ve done over the years - the jolly computer face on the front cover shows gratitude to those opportunities, and the EP as a whole is an overall ode to that. The way I produce music is like a stream of consciousness leading me to the composition of the track, not unlike an internet plunge into a youtube rabbit hole through genres and moods. I guess this kind of reflects my temper as well,” says Frits.

It’s this spectrum that makes Big Exchange adaptable, elevating the mood of any kind of space - solo listening, late night parties - all the while invoking a sense of nostalgia and familiarity.

Für Flying Lotus war es ein Traumprojekt, er beriet bei der Story und arbeitete neben dem renommierten Anime-Schöpfer Studio MAPPA als ausführender Produzent. Die Fähigkeiten des mit dem Grammy ausgezeichneten Produzenten kommen auf dem Album voll zur Geltung, indem er Synthesizer-Melodien, Basslinien und maschinell generierte Drum-Patterns miteinander vermischt und gleichzeitig neues klangliches Terrain erkundet - traditionelle japanische Perkussionsinstrumente wie die Taiko und die Hyoshigi sowie westafrikanische Perkussion, eine Anspielung auf die afro-japanische, feudale und doch futuristische Welt, in der Yasuke lebt. Vol 2 breaks into a slightly different territory from the last EP by placing some southern rap classics onto the chopping board alongside some hand-picked cherries from the 80’s disco larder...

René Pawlowitz presents himself in many different forms; whether it’s as Head High, EQD, Wax, WK7, The Traveller or more recently as Hoover - he consistently, and without any fuss or hype - produces some of the most effective, quality techno you can find on the planet. The Shed alias is usually reserved for his best work.

With this in mind, it really is a special event to announce this amazing new EP from Shed on Tectonic, showcasing 3 distinctive and highly effective techno cuts.

‘Try’ takes a broken-beat techno rhythm for it’s spine - reminiscent a little of the 2008/9 dubstep/techno crossover period. Tension is set with dissonant elements pulsing around swooping subs until we are saved by the heroic pads that ease in, building ever upwards to a lush finale. Close your eyes and be transported back to the rave.

‘Box’ is a darker, more percussive affair - claustrophobic and industrial. 130bpm 4/4 distorted kicks set the stage as frantic drum machine hats and claps crash about heavily reverb’ed ghostly samples.

Lastly we come to ‘Sweep’, a hypnotic bleepy roller with a bass heavy presence. As the riff loops up and over, drums build and a dissonant synth part creeps in. The not-quite 4/4 kick drives you ever forward with a gentle stumble as rattling hi hats flair about over head. Great finish to a great EP.

Rødhåd is the spearhead of a new generation of techno producers and DJs. With his bass heavy grooves and dubby atmospheric soundscapes he is a sonic guide, knowing exactly where he wants to take the crowd, leading through the inexhaustible sounds of techno music in all its beauty and gloom. He fully immerses himself into the music, yet never loses himself.
Growing up in Berlin's rougher outskirts, as a teenager he was able to grasp the final flashings of Berlin's mythical nightlife of the 1990s at legendary places Casino and Ostgut. In the late 2000s the Dystopian crew began their own series of parties and then the label with two seminal releases by Rødhåd, '1984' and 'Blindness'.
The album begins with a series of pulsing sounds as 'Unleash' lures the listener into Rødhåd ´s sonic universe. Hearing indistinct sounds and rotating helicopter blades imply an uncertainty about where this journey will go to. Clearly aware of an oncoming adventure, the excitement of discovering an alien world sets in.The eerie melodies and the subtle staccato grooves of 'Withheld Walk' pulls its audience even further into an infusible mix of curiosity and fear.
With 'Escape' the bass drum finally sets in, but against all odds does not tune into a clubby energy. Remaining restrained and imaginative, the ghostly melodies of the 'Brief Respite' sound like the voices of creatures from another planet. 'Awash' features a beautiful, yearning flute and out-of-tune strings wrestle with subdued breakbeats and a heavy bassline. 'Glimmer Of Light' then sets an uncanny key, moving the dark beauty of 80s electro into the rich and subtle electronic palette of the present. In 'Target Line', Rødhåd ´s collaboration with Vril, the simmering synth-track breaks away when they least expect it, setting the stage for the climax of the album.An Amen break tears itself loose in 'Burst'and gets lost in an echo.Rødhåd breaks away from the story at its high point.With the quiet and majestic techno grooves of 'Left Behind' the turmoil is over. Finally, last track 'Cast A Shadow' expresses relief and quiet, giving them a chance to reflect on their mind-boggling journey.
And just moments later, thrilling adventures turn into distant memories.

Kmyle is a young artist that shaped his own space in the techno scene in these last 5 years. His sound is a beautiful craft of all the technical aspects that make a Big Room track relevant, he has no fear in showing emotions but at the same time locking key elements essential for the dancefloor. Kmyle presents himself on the label with a hard explosion, yet with an elegant touch.

Leiras concludes the Turquoise Tundra concept with a second EP that thoroughly represents the characteristic sound from the author and expand it to another horizonts. Once more, we find different tempos and intensities in another powerful combination of tracks that will see the light in early 2020. On the A side we can find a slower synthwork with multiple bass layers named Lifelink and also, Ways of Communication , a complex rhythm composition with effected voices and an intricate sound design. On the flip side, Unexplored gives a classier vision to the release, with continual and endless synth sequences flowing over hard stepping drum patterns. Everything has an end, and Turquoise Camo is the perfect epilogue for this project, pushing forward the expectre of sound, the complexity on the rhythms and a significant arrange progression. A place where the futuristic sound of IDM embraces the physic consistency of techno.
