Those who expect dreamy home-listening from Family Lounge, could fall victim to conceptual conflicts of association. Family Lounge is analog Minimal-Techno, defined by Germany's electro-figurehead Anthony Rother.

ATT Series is proud to present Greenbeam & Leon's first album, The Haze Of Dust.
The inspiration of this album comes from the experience of many years of work in their natural city, Tbilisi.
Sadness, fear, hostility, happiness, gratitude, hope, are some feelings obtained that have fructified in an idea after a beloved long hard work in the studio.
If one thing can be said, this work gives off essence, pure essence Greenbeam & Leon that bring you to another dimension. An extended variety of genres and references featured on this album, bringing a lot of influences and different compositions together, sometimes dark, sometimes deep, sometimes raw, sometimes melancholic, but all with essence.
A complete soundtrack that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Hot off the heels of Aluxes, his 2018 Lumière Noire debut EP, young Mexican DJ/producer Iñigo
Vontier is inviting Chloé's label on a trip to the far corners of the body & mind with an album of
demented grooves, psychedelic take-offs and imaginary comic strips of mystical rituals. A
bewitching debut full-length. Mexicans may never possess the sonic science of the Germans,
the hedonistic madness of the English or the gift for synthesis of the French, but, as proven by
Iñigo Vontier's first full-length for Lumière Noire, their universe is much more exciting than
anyone would have ever thought.
The DJ/producer fully asserts his origins by brandishing the album’s title "El Hijo del Maiz" ("the
son of the corn") almost as an emblem: "in Mexico, corn is eaten daily. It has long been defined
as 'the gold of America', and I consider all Mexicans as children of corn". A spiritual and
embodied vision Iñigo's first Lumière Noire release, the four-track Aluxes, set the tone of the
young talent's distinctive interpretation of dark disco, which creeps up on the dancefloor from its
iconoclastic side. The two tracks and two remixes (one by Flügel, the other by Inigo himself)
featured on the 12" for lead single "Xu Xu" (featuring Red Axes-affiliate Xen's irrelevant vocals)
was a full-bodied confirmation that Vontier sees the dancefloor as an arena for the occult –
whether from the peoples of the equatorial jungle, the Middle East or, even from indocile
machines. But, while the spiritual element seems part and parcel of the Jalisco native’s output, it
is in no way the only ingredient of this first long-player: "this album best reflects my own vision
and spirituality, and the way I feel it" he says.
Whether contemplative or frenetic, the collection of tracks that make up “El Hijo Del Maiz” takes
the kitchen sink and throws it out the window: languid rhythms, haunted vocals, and mysterious
percussion fuel a discombobulated house set that scrambles the listener's five senses, leaving
one disoriented and exposed to the vagaries of vertigo. Following the demented, dystopian “Xu
Xu” EP, which explored an imaginary jungle that harbored Mayan and Egyptian pyramids,
Middle Eastern accents are once more present in the off-kilter “Bo Ni Ke” and its Japaneseinfluenced vocal trickery, which Moroccan flutes à la Jajouka transform into a feverish trance.
With the following three tracks, Iñigo Vontier raises himself to the same level of excellence as
the Pachanga duo (of which pride of the Mexican scene Rebolledo, is also known as a prolific
artisan of deconstruction): “Awaken”'s slumbering voice, heard as through the veil of hypnosis,
slowly introduces a techno beat which, as in follow-up “Time”, literally brings the listener to a
levitative state. In a housier vein, yet continuing in the same psychedelic, 90s-infused spirit,
“Don’t Go Back” disrupts the genre’s usual signatures with an out-of-tune keyboard that is
becoming the artist's trademark, destabilizing the listener into a drunken vertigo, with a good
helping of sexiness: "I think the sexy dimension definitely brings a kind of magic to music," says
Vontier. “I'm sure I felt this magic during my DJ sets, and I like to think that sorcerers use this
element in their practices. I might consider myself a bit of a sorcerer when I take over the DJ
booth, by the way." A mood and sound that can once again be found – in a quieter, more
bucolic version – on “Chiquitita” (feat. the flute stylings of pioneer DJ Rocca, now a partner of
cosmic disco legend Daniele Baldelli). The more cinematic, fast-paced and dreamy beat of the
no less captivating “Little Monster” might evoke the mischievous spirit of the Mayas' minor
mythological creatures, while ode to the magical herb Marijuana (feat Thomass Jackson)
proudly tramples into the debate that such a provocative title inevitably provokes: "psychedelic
drugs are powerful tools to reach a higher level of consciousness about what surrounds us, but
we must learn how to complete this psychic journey by ourselves, notably through meditation
and love.
In the end, El Hijo del Maiz is an album-length confirmation of Iñigo Vontier's uniqueness, and
his adherence to Lumière Noire's policy of letting artists fully express their vision – while letting
their passions guide their idiosyncrasies and explorations of innovative electronic signatures
Coming May Joel Mull will finally re-join the Kanzleramt Family in a collab with Heiko Laux called 'Rooter'. This is Joel's second appearance on Kanzleramt after his very much loved solo 12'' 'Reminder' (ka127 12'' digi) in 2006. It's also not the first release of the two, as last years Drumcode limited release 'Slight Munch' shows.
Joel and Heiko have been friends for over a decade. The depth of that connection is reflected in 'Rooter' as much of this release was designed and realised right at the kitchen table over breakfast or with a good wine while cooking dinner. More parts of those sessions will be following on Parabel later this year.

Kanzleramt presents 'Consistency Remixes', a three track remix EP of as-yet unreleased Ray Kajioka originals, hinting at new material on its way soon from the Berlin-based artist and Kanzleramt mainstay.
The EP will land on vinyl in September of 2016 and features remixes from Detroit legend Rolando, as well as The Persuader (aka Jesper Dahlbäck) and Kanzleramt label-head Heiko Laux.
Berlin based producer Zigan Aldi has always been open for different cultural influences in his music. An openess that might go back to his own background since Zigan had been brought up in the eastern part of Turkey, before he moved to Germany when he was 14. Apart from working in various jobs it was always the music that kept him going and let him experience his true passion. After releasing music on Bedouin's label trueColors or 3000 Grad it was about time his diverse music finds another home on Underyourskin Records. Therefore Zigan delivers five exclusive tracks that depict his approach to electronic music with a mostly downtempo vibe. 'Luton', 'Seems To Be' and 'Olin' follow the path of the label's as well as Zigan's philosophy a slightly oriental influence that meets darker multi-layered synth chords to create significant atmospheres that can work at any time at the club. 'Miracle' featuring SANDECK is just what the track title suggest: a musical miracle. As the track slowly enfolds its groove to the audience, it is the guitar riffs and the vocals that sum up magic of this track at this very intimate moment.

Selvamancer proudly presents its first release by Finnish producer Boneless One. The Barcelona-based label with Dutch roots is aiming to release pounding dancefloor mantras. Selvamancer is heavily influenced by mysticism as well as futurism, trying desperately to maintain its balance on a psychedelic tightrope throughout the multiverse. Its first release results in an exciting melting pot of vintage synthesizer jams and modern acid bleeps, the perfect playground of Helsinki based Boneless One. After releasing on Snuff Trax and Tabernacle Records sublabel Ride The Gyroscope he joins the Selvamancer family and cooks up four tracks of acid, rave, distorted techno and industrial-tinged dancefloor burners on his Woofers EP.
Another exceptional talent has been brewing in the Idle Hands homestead of Bristol for some time now. Daisy Moon has forged strong ties within the creatively bustling city, from her current DJ spots at the ever popular Housework nights, alongside Shanti Celeste, Gramrcy and Golesworthy, her continued work with Bristol's Women In Music group via DJ workshops and industry advice sessions and her former residency alongside Idle Hands founder, Chris Farrell, and Danielle, at the much loved BRSTL nights.
In a sideways step away from the dancefloor, Daisy has prepped a diverse and absorbing EP for the label. Celestial tones and shimmering vocals form the building blocks of 'Geometry Of Curves' whilst 'Halycon' moves at a seductively smooth pace as it combines time stretched vox, sparse yet crunchy beats and plummeting soundscapes to great effect. Deft melodies and woody percussion signature the almost kitsch pop sounds of 'Anemone', whilst EP finale, 'Chambers', locks down ethereal sensations floating on a hefty rhythm, signing off a wonderfully impressive debut release from Daisy for Idle Hands.

A stunningly accomplished work, ‘Deep Rave Memory’ is an insight into Fearless’ worlds – both metaphysical and geographical. Pulsating in unison with the heartbeat of a modern metropolis, it was recorded at the Metal Box’ – his studio located on the peninsula of land where the River Lea meets the Thames.
The haunting and wistful blue ambient ‘Vision of You’ leads into the bracingly chilly ‘New Perspective’, which evokes a heavy rush where perceptions are blurred and vision is freeze framed, via elements of techno-soul, Sheffield Bleep and Mika Vainio.
A snarling beast of a track, the relentless machine funk of ‘Devil on Horseback’ perfects the pure cathartic release of dark ‘n’ hot body music, whilst ‘Acid Angels’ is a throbbing low-fi 303 requiem, which encapsulates that perfect dancefloor moment, when the first light breaks through the shutters.
A future classic and the album’s modus operandi, title track ‘Deep Rave Memory’’s discordant filter passes sweep across a hypnotic melody, communicating a deep sense of warm nostalgia and taking you on an epic journey – stretching out a single riff over 12 minutes – akin to the krautrock greats of which Fearless is so fond.
‘Atlas of Insanity’ is big room techno with pounding kicks, death-whip metallic snares and head spinning, spiralling synth lines that drill into your core. This is raw, impulsive and frantic music that sizzles with electric effervescence.
The Germanic kosmische idyll of ‘Driving with Roedelius’ is a homage to one of Richards’ heroes – Hans-Joachim Roedelius – and was inspired by his experience playing a set consisting solely of the electronic pioneer’s music, at a festival celebrating his life and career.
On the album's closer, Fearless recounts, “‘Broken Beauty’ is something I’ve always strived for in my art. It’s inspired by Robert Frank, William Eggleston and the way they could take the most inane object a turn it into something of beauty. It’s equally schooled by the aggressive simplicity of King Tubby’s dubbing and the transcendence of Joy Division’s ‘Decades’. The sparse allure of the best dub and techno is something I’m always striving for; being able to conjure emotion with the fewest possible elements; to not fix what’s broken, but to make it shine.
Limited to 500 copies.
Following her strong debut EP on Warp Records sister imprint Arcola, Copenhagen’s Anastasia Kristensen, renowned for her energetic sets, presents M A X I M A, a four-track EP of animated techno and elaborate sonic geometries.
Kaleidoscopic patterns and angular drums launch straight through the spacetime continuum. Fusing elements both hyper
modern and old school, Anastasia crafts an expansive package for the most discerning psychonauts.
Released on Magenta colour vinyl.

Motormännen make information techno infused with an air of Swedish nostalgia through a filter of retro-futuristic skepticism. The music is packed with minimal acid loops and samples with excerpts from Swedish politicians, documentaries and Christer Glenning, reflecting on times when the cold war and the traditional welfare state were dissolving. Inhibitions were relaxed and new, foreign influences crept into the body of society and the old information monopolies. Dutch Techno master Orlando Voorn has opened up his archive for the first of what will be an ongoing artist focused series brought to you by new imprint Above Board Projects. The compilation will be spread across 2 double 12" volumes and will feature tracks from many of Voorn's pseudonyms including; Fix, Baruka, The Ghetto Brothers, Mute & many more. We are proud to introduce the first of a 2-part archival collection entitled 'Diligence'. Each track featured on the compilation has been carefully selected and programmed in conjunction with Orlando Voorn and the Above Board Projects team. Voorn has an extremely long and storied career in making music and is severely underrated as a producer in our humble opinion. His DJ skills are, of course, legendary, with him winning the prestigious DMC mixing championships in 1986 in his native Holland and making a career as one of the country's leading Hip-Hop DJ's. As a producer he has long been linked to numerous legendary producers and releases, counting labels such as Fragile, Metroplex and more as homes for his output. His association and collaborations with Detroit have been the stuff of legend since day one and some of the music contained within these compilations celebrate that while showcasing some of the more overlooked tracks from the man's more than extensive catalogue. Part 1 includes some serious rarities and some straight up, futurist Techno heat, take the majestic technoid melodies of comp opener 'Diligent' from one of Voorn's most well loved alias' FIX for example, completely worlds apart from the jacking and sparse Funk of Baruka's killer 'Technision'. Flawless selections from the early 90's sitting alongside later productions only go to show how diverse and talented an artist Voorn is and how fresh and vital his music still is today. An essential collection for any serious techno lover.
For Superconscious' fourteenth edition the label looks inwards once again to its enigmatic senior co-president Fantastic Man. Almost two years have gone by since his last contribution (as P.M.T.C) and as the world spirals ever deeper into the abyss, turntables everywhere are a welcome form of escapism for many, now more than ever.
In his welcome return, Fantastic Man offers another fresh slab of fast-paced atmospheric rave jams to the fray. These four slices are intended - as the name suggests - for the one place where we can still come together, and for a moment, forget the troubles of the world and party like it's 1999.

Welcome Noseda from Belgium on Delude Records Vinyl Limited.
On the A - Side come the track - The tunnel, a deep and dark stomping techno track for the underground dance floor. The remix of this track is sponsored by the label head Tom Almex. He comes with a straight, but reduced and especially punchy remix, which sounds extremely demanding. On the B - Side come the track - Peace of Live, a very dark and spooky techno track. The master of dark melodic techno sponsored a very fat remix in best Patrick Arbez style.

Tiefenrausch returns with a Various Artist EP. Gathering three unique dub techno musicians linked through deep chords and driving basslines. While Biodub and Upwellings already contribut- ed their part to the label, the new member Star_Dub joins in with his raw vision of dub techno.
The leitmotif of the Progression EP' consists of concised chord clusters above groovy basslines, thick kicks and reverbish atmospheres. Biodubs Varial' opens the EP with a club oriented tune made of long build ups and compli ying drops. Subduction' by Upwellings follows this direction. Echoing chords utter between pumping basses and driving hihats. The EP is closed by Aero- naut', where Star_Dub does what he is best known for: creating raw and powerful soundscapes.
The release is designed by Alex Ketzer who joins in for a collaboration with the illustrators Mag- dalena Paz and Florian Gassmann for the next releases of the Tiefenrausch label. The audio is mastered by SALZ music and the EP comes on 180g vinyl and shrink wrapped.
INFO: Forging recent sounds together with long-lost tracks from the ’90s, label head Faki dishes out an EP full with favorites, his dubby takes on them sure to cause a fever on the floors. Starting things off by honing two old-school tunes, the first one a fast hardware-jam, which gets its lead synths toned down for a fresh perspective.
Then a classic blueprint for dub-techno, which Faki already remixed in 2015 for its 20th anniversary, is now brought back for a more lively and dynamic interpretation.Taking to novel releases, Sound & Sequences’ reverb-heavy journey into dub is amped with percussive forces, granting it an additional drive without sacrificing any of the meditative qualities of the original. ... With trance missing in the mix, NTHNG comes to deliver, and Faki returns the track as a deeply soothing version ripe with cosmic energies.

Hot on the heels of his debut solo EP issued on the label in late 2018, Milo Spykers returns to Lenske with his much anticipated second outing, 'Observable 93'. Where his previous, 'Infinite', was marked by a certain minimalism in approach - zeroing in on the depth of field and hypnotic power of its reverbs and delayed intricacies, this one has the Belgian producer slinging out a sharper-than-ever tetralogy of strapping big-room agitators that waste no time or energy in useless courtesies, rather well whelming his audience headlong into a deluge of raging kicks and hellish drum swirls to maximum effect.
All horsepowers roaring, 'Beyond' sets the tone right away with its heavy battery of pounding kicks and cavalcading drums whipping a frenzy as full-on cascades of liquid-like synth modulations and rumbling echoes interweave in hazardous precipitates. A straight-out binary stormer, the title-track then puts on the kind of no-nonsense hardcore rave buildup that'll have your brain going on overheat without further ado. The very idea one can make of a peaktime thriller, warheads locked and loaded onto giving the dancers a tough time picking their legs and brain up once the lights are back on again.
Sure to drain every drop of sweat from your sore body in less spins that your washing machine needs to wring your favourite AC-DC tee, the strenuous B-side opener 'All You Need Is A Thought' rotates and revolves like a satellite gone out of its orbiting trajectory into deep space. Tailored to drive any sound-system into a corner, 'The Invisible' tops it all off in particularly nasty fashion, keeping the pressure gauge in the red up until the woofers have given up the ghost. With this strikingly forceful and ambitious sophomore 12", Milo Spykers clearly sets his sight onto a new horizon of potentialities, confirming his status as one of the emerging techno artists to keep your eyes on. Closely.

Second part of this two episode series on Subnet records. Following the same flavour as before... dark textures and mental synth lines driven together by hard drum patterns and groovy percussion. These two ep reflect the creepy and insane behaviour caused by experiments in the field of invisibility applied in the human being. All the tracks were recorded live! Just using analog sequencers, mpc, analog mixer and synths... Directly to a recording device. In the same way as you could record a live set, to keep all the vibe as fresh as possible. 220 copies limited vinyl release.
Pär Grindvik & Peder Mannerfelt’s Aasthma twyst out a lush breakstep rave night flight starring Penelope Trappes on the 3rd volume of their black label rave series Proceeding the club-ready pressure of Aasthma’s ‘Only The Appraiser’ and ‘Los Angeles’ 12”s, Penelope Trappes (The Golden Filter) returns the favour of Aasthma’s remix for her ‘Connector’ cut with a dreamily detached vocal placed high in the mix over sweepingly dramatic strings and
swaggering breakbeat techno momentum destined for the warehouse.
Rerouting early ‘90s hardcore breaks via tempered late ‘90s trance melancholy and ’00s breakstep ruggedness, title tune ‘Army Of Love’ hits a classic mark somewhere between J Saul Kane, early
Vex’d and the tight Hard Drum rolige of DJ Plead, while the following, slower version ‘The Task’ sees the same elements devoid of vocals and dragged down to a creepy 110bpm crawl, revealing ghostly synth spectres haunting its hunched breaks.

“Assembly Sequence” is a split EP featuring two of the four founders of Kajunga: Berndt and Cloudy Kid. Having taken root in Minneapolis and frequenting cities like Detroit and Chicago, the EP has an inherent Midwest feel. This marks Cloudy Kid’s third release with Kajunga and Berndt’s second. Berndt has also released with sister labels Clave House, and Corndogs out of Detroit.
Assembly Sequence is controlled by the mechanical nature of its creators. Berndt and Cloudy Kid split the arrangement down the middle to manufacture a sonic signature they believe can be used to drive the biomechanical functions of life-space.
Side A begins by fusing ethereal groove polymers with stabilizing oscillations from Berndt’s precision pump rhythms; On side B, Cloudy Kid neuro-casts an injection chassis turbine on the entire structure, constraining the rhythmic patterns to rip deeper into the corrosive noise planes of the collective Darkmind.
Kmyle is back after his powerful EP Skryptöm 31, with a new massive Album.
In this upcoming masterpiece he is combining deep melodies and energetic forces to create a constant atmospheric tension. Cohesive and modern, this album shows us the multi-faceted
expression of Kmyle's music. Designed beetwen skipping beat, skittish drums and powerfull bassline, «NORTHERN LANDSCAPES» is made with sensibility and precision. Each track reflects a moment of his life and a side of his personality. Together, they bring us to a cosmic journey through space and time, surfing on a melancholic vibe.
Worn between hypnothic state and powerfull sonorities, this album delivers us a pure and emotional Techno. Full of elegance and sensitivity for your beautiful soul... Enjoy !

Mark Broom's long-awaited solo EP debut for Hardgroove is upon us and, true to form, for the M-Plant and Beardman producer is a masterclass in groove led, funk-laced techno.
'Outta Sight' opens the EP with purposeful, undulating stabs mirrored by a powerful sub while the second cut, 'L4LV' heads down a dystopian yet crunching, drum-led path to hammer its point home.
The title track is Broom at his stripped-back best, with just a handful of elements and deft arrangement doing all the work while track four, 'TR1', serves as a neat, dancefloor wrecking summation of the moods, sounds and production touches of the preceding three cuts.

Straddling the line between deep house and techno, MDA Lab's second release reissues the 1996 Nova Zembla classic "Pride", along with three new bangers: MDA Analog offers up "Pride 2019" - a slower and funkier version fit for the times. "Choose to Live" presents the listener an escape into positivity-laced reverie hinting at the deeper days of halcyon. Lastly "Running Away from Home" navigates more firmly back into techno realms.

Born out of distaste for the current trend of excessively hard and fast techno, this collaboration between Berlin based Roman Lindau and Fossil Archive boss Roberto from London, seeks to bring the groove and soul back into Techno.
After back to back sets at the likes of fabric in London, Tresor in Berlin and Culture Box in Copenhagen, the connection between these two artists was firmly cemented. This lead to their first studio collaboration ‘Nerinea Trinodosa’ which appeared on Fossil Archive 006 in 2017. The studio process felt very natural, with each artist assuming different roles. Their latest effort ‘Path to Enchantment’ comes with 4 new fresh tracks designed to tell a story by both of these exciting artists on Fossil Archive.

The modern, avant synth/dance-pop frolics of ‘Moi’ catch Steven Warwick (Heatsick) at his impish but droll best for PAN. Returning to PAN six years after his standout Re-Engineering album,
Warwick returns to similar zones of enquiry as 2016’s ‘Nadir’ - the first release under his birth name. With ‘Moi’ (which we definitely hear enunciated with a playful pucker), Warwick further emphasises the personal, playful nature of his work with 10 melodic, danceable and pop-tart arrangements accompanied by a range of vocal personas; from his naturally droll singing voice to more alien and leaned-out styles, plus a guest platitude by Turner Prize nominee, Jo Pryde.
Bubbling up with the pickled 2-step and Lolina-esque lilt of ‘Open Fire Hydrant’, Warwick clearly draws upon a UK dance music heritage - and its Afro-Caribbean and US inspirations - with the
freshest, exceptional style that percolates throughout the album, strongly informing its biggest dancefloor highlights such as the warped trancehall bumps of ‘Salvation’ and the crooked crankshaft of ‘Kaleidoscope’, along with the the brittle boned shimmy of ‘Rush’ and the hard but elegant drive of ’Silhouette.’
But they’re only half the story, which really comes together with contrasts in the fizzy downstroke of ‘Kind of Blue’, on the Black Zone Myth Chant-like psychedelic daze and blunted vocals in
‘Consolatio’, and the album’s standout ‘Danke’, which revolves around Jo Pryde’s gentle utterance of the title weft into ominous ambient clag, connoting a sort of humility that knowingly becomes
both less and more meaningful with each reiteration
Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes is a new full-length by Philadelphiabased artist, poet, and musician, Camae Ayewa, who performs under the name Moor Mother.
A sonic black hole is a place where fluid moves so fast that it traps all sound.
To be entangled in its gravity is to feel the pressure of an unjust system -- corruption so powerful that it drowns out whatever you throw at it. Analog fluids are resistance -- individuals who work to create and preserve community in the face of immense darkness and cosmic pressure.
Begun in 2017 as a sonic counterpart to Ayewa’s art show at New York performance space, The Kitchen, Analog Fluids was refined through exhaustive touring. It tracks Ayewa’s emergence into an expanded artistic ecosystem, with contributions from a distinctive set of friends and collaborators like Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Zonal), King Britt, Saul Williams, Giant Swan, and Bookworms
"Music is changing, the world is getting smaller.. Highlife brings you fresh new music from corners of the world you’d least expect." An early slogan we adopted in 2010.. On the eve of our 10th anniversary and as we question our relevancy, we close out the year with fresh new music by a brand new project.. and what a BEAUTIFUL case in point!
Brought to you in collaboration between Skinnydeep from Masiphumelele - one of the largest townships in Cape Town - and Jesse Reiner of Brooklyn, NYC. The two producers bonded over a shared sensibility in electronic minimalism, Zulu rhythms, house and techno and began a year’s long international collaboration resulting in Unyuko - meaning 'going up' in isiXhosa, one of the Bantu languages of South Africa. It references ‘upllifting’ or ‘a rising’ after struggle and couldn't be a more appropriate title.
We're very honoured and excited to present this to you now.

Following up his pair of cryptically luminous EPs for Northern Electronics in the past years, Evigt Morker presents his debut album, Krona. With a shuffling atmosphere that's hard to pin down, the album chronically fixates on the degradation and construction of rhythmic drills with finely rendered parts and patterns. Spiralling the listener through a set of stormy soundscapes, Krona keeps placing the horizon just ahead, and just out of reach. The unease that Evigt Morker invites us into is electrically charged and threatening to crack. For all its syncopation we are relentlessly swerving through the works, afraid of teasing an arcing static shock from the blistering commotion. The album's propulsive tracks are settled against a pair of stunning ambient compositions that capture some of the tension from a distance. Technical dexterity and perfectly pitched intensity stakes out Evigt Morker's debut album as an impressive statement.

You know what gravity is, right? That force that keeps our two feet, face, back, ass, ears, knees on the ground…. That force that ensures that even after 25 years Ovum can still pull out serious surprises, join more dots beyond the dots and welcome true legends to the label for their debut.
Celebrating 22 years of Josh Wink’s cult acid classic ‘Sixth Sense’ they’ve invited old friend Shlomi Aber and a bonafide Master At Work, Louie Vega for a set of remarkable updates. Celebrating his first Ovum appearance, Louie takes the lead with a whole menu of mixes that provide total mix creativity. The lead mix hits with that essential New York swing. Stripped back to its naked form, the drums bump your hips and shoulders into submission while a rubber ball bassline and Ursula Rucker’s signature spoken word lock you down. A complete flip on the paranoid, pacey original, it’s Louie Vega at his very best and most dancefloor-focused.
Vega’s remixes are joined by two equally alluring twists from long-time mate Shlomi Aber. His first is a pumping, uptempo techno twist that nods to the original while his Hidden In The Dark offers a much darker twist. Bare to the broken beat bones, it’s a trippy escapade into much shadier corners of Shlomi’s sound. Restrained, tense and cavernous; perfect for Ursula’s vocal to totally hypnotise and pull us back down to earth. Extra sensory business this summer, these aren’t remixes – they’re whole new chapters.

Malik Hendricks is a rhythmically inclined aesthetic enthusiast born in the 80's, and raised in the 90's. A DJ for over a decade, he has always approached music with a rigorous curiosity and views the dancefloor as the ideal arena for collective cultural appreciation, a place where the quest for knowledge meets the quest for experience. Dance is the true language of the body, and a gateway to the recognition of our shared humanity.

Just Jack specialises in showcasing serious House and Techno in a not-so-serious manner. 8 years of fervent promotion has plotted a remarkable string of parties across a variety of venues in their hometown of Bristol as well as international clubbing meccas, London, Ibiza and Croatia.
Progress has snowballed in recent years through their proclamation as 'Best Club Event' in DJ Mag's 2012 'Best Of British' awards and an ineffable 8th birthday celebration including Moodymann, Omar S, Bicep, Midland, Paul Woolford, Roman Flugel and Gerd Janson.
Present form considered - the next logical step has been to assimilate the experience of 8 years of record collecting, pushing boundaries and obliterating dance floors to create an erudite label, aiming to outlet
tangible chunks of the spirit and passion that's fuelled Just Jack's success.
In keeping with the ethos behind the bookings, the idea is to showcase forward thinking, dance floor orientated House and Techno slayers and without a doubt, the inceptive record is exactly that!
Stepping in for the inaugural release is Amsterdam based Beesmunt Soundsystem. With previous releases on Soweso Music and a stack of worldwide performances (both live and as DJs), the auspicious pair deliver 'The Baby Maker' EP- an opulent blend of course and forceful drums, sultry vocals and resistlessly effective bass grooves all backed up with a moody and spectral revision from Chicago's Amir Alexander.
'Close To Me' opens up with a full-bodied kick and a bubbling bass line punching against a textured surface. Brash and granular stabs wade in and create a tight swing under an arresting vocal chop.
Amir Alexander's 'Body To Body Deep Dark Excursion' (as the name would suggest) stretches 'Close To Me' out over 8 minutes of brooding synths, swirling bass patterns and lazily blossoming percussion.
'How I Wish' feels slightly more playful than its predecessors. An uplifting vocal interacts with a jutting piano line while gritty drums work to maintain a degree of intensity and bolster the package as a solid first release - no doubt the first of many.

Purveyors of contemporary electronic music Anagram return with their second remix EP that calls upon some of the scene's most compelling and uncompromising names. Coalescence, the next chapter from the label, will unfold as a series of remix EP's reinforcing the labels core values of community, togetherness and growth. The first instalment reflects on their previous three releases reimagining four titles under the controls of Drugstore resident Tiljana T, Ostgut Ton legend Ryan Elliot, Klockworks artist Newa and the Tel Aviv based Yotam Avni. Orchestrating the rework of Elad Magdasi's 'Liquid Dreams' is Serbian talent Tiljana T who runs with the cinematic ideas behind the original but uses snapping hits, ebullient bass notes and plenty delay to fuel the cut with a new lease of life. The accompanying A-side sees Ryan Elliott do what Ryan Elliot does best by keeping things straight up four to the floor transforming 'Sound of the Siren' by Barbara Ford into pulsating peak hour material. On the flip side are two remixes taken from label co-founder Sinfol's latest solo EP 'Pull Back'. First up, Newa gets the blood rushing injecting breaking beats and furious energy into 'Life Of Measure' resulting in a high tempo no-nonsense techno affair that embodies the sound of the bustling Tbilisi scene. Tying together Coalescence Vol. I is arguably the most dynamic choice of the four remixes in Yotam Avni's 'Final Push' Remix. With a meticulous assortment of intricately crafted synth lines and sequences, he manages to deconstruct Sinfol's title cut of its acid workouts and replenish it with an equally rivalled amount of energy. Four artists, four remixes, Coalescence Vol. I!
Arsenik Displays is a two part vinyl compilation and a collaboration between the label and artists across 7 countries.
The tracks are made by artists that have been long time supporters of our label and whom we admire for their work. Despite the range of artists, they still manage to deliver music associated to the label’s sound.
It’s a pure honor to accomplish this project together with Newa, Nihad Tule, Oisel, Savas Pascalidis, Albert Van Abbe, Pfirter, Dustin Zahn & Johanna Knutsson, and Sonia Sagan who shared her drawing for the A-side labels.
Lone continues to thrive on his newly established label, Ancient Astronauts, with its second physical release of the year, the ‘Not Seeing Is a Flower’.Steering towards a new studio album from the Nottingham-based producer, the three-track EP takes its name from a Japanese idiom (見ぬが花), which suggests that reality cannot compete with imagination. Lapping at varied shades of the psyche, ‘Glyphic’ kicks things off with a heavyweight tribal techno cut inspired by Cutler’s experiences at Bass Coast festival this summer, fusing 303 acid with sweltering piano lines and otherworldly vocals for a transcendental dancefloor experience. The senses are heightened with title-track ‘Not Seeing Is A Flower’, which reaches beyond reality with slowly spoken samples effortlessly melting into a lush ambient techno backdrop reminiscent of early work from The Future Sound Of London, Orbital, and The Black Dog. Finally, ‘Boketto’ sees Lone embrace the same tone of downtempo trip-hop detailed on his albums ‘Lemurian’ and ‘Reality Testing’ with rolling percussion and meditative chimes drawing close on some of the producer’s most lavish work to date.

Kontakt brings back two sought after minimal-dubtechno tracks by Metric System, which was one of many aliases used by Thomas P. Heckmann in the 90ties, where he explored the sounds of the legendary Sequential Circuits 440 and EMU SP-12. The original recordings have been carefully restored and officially re-mastered by Thomas himself. Limited coloured vinyl.
Orlando Voorn is back on Multiplex alongside the label debut of Luca Lozano! This new 12” compilation format is curated by Steen Kong. The concept of Obey The Night is to pit two producers against one another, each deliver an original track as well as a remix of the others work. The result is for the floor.
First up is Orlando Voorn, who Multiplex previously has released under his electro alias Ultra. This time though, Voorn supplies a beyond-groovy house tune in “Pull Up”, and his remix of Luca Lozano’s “People Person”, a deep thumper of a track. Not surprisingly, both have amble Detroit feeling.
On the flip side Luca Lozano kicks off with his percussive-heavy and quickly intensifying original “People Person”. This is followed by his take on Orlando Vorn’s track - and the ensuing “Luca Lozano Praise Baruka Remix” is a brilliant match of the individual sonic mindsets of the two producers.

One and half years since her last outing on Second State, Amelie Lens returns to the label with her highly anticipated new 3-tracker, 'Hypnotized EP‘. Following up to the much acclaimed 'Basiel EP' issued in 2018 through her own imprint, Lenske, Amelie steps up right in time for the much busy festival season ahead with a pair of razor-sharp peaktime weapons, plus a nasty gabber-inflected remix from rising Belgian duo Joyhauser. With upcoming dates including performances at Sónar, Movement, Awakenings, Exit, Kappa Future and Sonus, needless to say these are bound to get dance floors on fire this summer.
Having triggered a massive response from the audience during her sets over the last year, the title track ‚Hypnotized‘ breaks the ice on a fiercely pounding note. Flexing out the heavy kick artillery, brooding chord stabs and cascading snares while Amelie's delayed vox hooks steadily sink us into a whelming state of trance. Reaching for the most remote recesses of the dancers' minds, 'Access' revs up the engine a notch further with its psychoactive synthwaves, furling and swirling across full bars of louder than loud 909 thump. Adding their euphoric spin to the lead cut, 'Hypnotized', Joyhauser seal the deal with an all-out ravey anthem of a rework, custom-built for epic, warehouse-sized maneuvers and iron-pumping mid-set apexes. Shockwaves are coming.

A-Future presents a fierce electro-charged production debut for EON Records.
After a solid summer of gigs at IICON Glastonbury, Inner City Electronic Leeds, Gottwood and Boiler Room, A-Future now shares a progression for his DJ project which has been impressing crowds across the UK with its range of left field beats and punchy up-tempo tracks.
Deploying tricks learned from his weighty record collection, the Birmingham based producer works in hardcore breakbeat flares, deep electro basslines and headsy IDM synths into original track No Era for what is a high-grade first showing.
Censor records head and long time friend Alex Jann and Berlin’s mysterious electronica producer Secret Universe provide a remix each. Jann comes in deep with a gritty bass line that drives his version with a solid flow primed for 140bpm dance floors. Secret Universe then sets etherial moments beside to belting syncopated jungle beat programming for a headsy and heavy take on No Era.
This is the second release on A-Future’s EON Records label which launched in March 2019 with Sepehr’s Cybernetic EP featuring Stratowerx and A-Future remixes.

Boris Bunnik aka Conforce returns to Delsin for his fifth album on the label. Across eight tracks he delivers a wide range of styles yet keeps the ethereal and textural aesthetic of his sound recognizable at all points. His atmospheric approach combined with razor sharp percussion and intricately programmed synths make "Dawn Chorus" one of his most adventurous albums to date. Flirting with his Versalife moniker at times, this album leans to his experimental works, strongly optimized for dance floors using his unique sounddesign skills and unstoppable drift to reinvent himself.

The material featured on this EP was recorded in Berlin over the course of a legendary week-long exploit, the kind you read about at the movies. The music is a marriage of dark synth hooks and atmospheric sound design resulting from extensive Berghain-monitored brain damage. It is very fortunate that both artists were wearing their Twin Turbo friendship bracelets at the time or they may have never even gotten past the door. In terms of raw intelligence, the top one percent of those reading of this will have picked up on the cues that these tracks are techno. The rest have nothing to feel bad about. Our hope is that both communities can work out their cognitive differences on the dance floor every night for the rest of their lives. Our business model depends on it.
A multi-system conglomerate servicing planets within the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, TerraFirm provides the desiccated, toxified, irradiated or otherwise uninhabitable planets of this sector with a suite of services to rectify any environmental challenge From geoformation to carbon extraction, desalination to biome rehabilitation, TerraFirm has a full range of services to return your planet to its naturally thriving, pre-apocalypse state.
The second step in our patented remediation process is Mycelination; the seeding of subterranean fungal colonies. A robust mycelial network is the critical component in a healthy, biodiverse ecosystem. Mycelium connect all plant and fungal species, facilitating the exchange of nutrients and information between organisms. The same network absorbs decomposing plant matter, returning stored nutrients to the soil and releasing carbon dioxide to fuel your atmosphere's carbon cycle. Once mycelium are thriving the life cycles needed to support higher genera of flora and fauna will be in place.

This split release unites two female underground acts, both of whom have recently become pivotal parts of the contemporary electronic musical landscape in Japan. Hot on the heels of the acclaimed PAREDO EP compilation (TAL12), which has been released in May 2019 (and also includes contributions from Lena Willikens and Miki Yui), the SUPER MILD split album is the second outing by KOPY and TENTENKO on TAL. Their newest works punctuate their highly individual approaches to contemporary experimental dance music.
TENTENKO is a Tokyo-based electronic music producer. Her career began in 2013 when she joined the mainstream idol group BIS. Immediately after her departure from BIS in 2014 she commenced work on her solo project under her artist name TENTENKO. Since then she has radically reinvented her music away from glossy J-POP towards weird and industrial rooted dancefloor. TENTENKO first made a name for herself on the alternative Japanese music scene with a steady flow of live performances as well as collaborations with members of the legendary Japanese noise band HIJOKAIDAN.
For a few years now KOPY has been an unpredictable and charismatic part of the vital electronic music scene of Osaka. She has quickly garnered a reputation for creating her live sets exclusively with borrowed electronic equipment. Her name KOPY very much originates from this "concept". Apart from a few performances at Düsseldorfs famous nightspot SALON DES AMATEURS, she has been invited by LENA WILLIKENS to her showcase at the MEAKUSMA FESTIVAL in 2018. Her sinister dancefloor mystique is heavily steeped in the free spirited noise and rhythm cultures of her hometown.
Revisiting another classic for this issue of Len Faki's edits, he chooses Kotai's 2002 track BA3 Breathing, a standout-cut for it's ringing vocals and ominous bassline rumbles. With the original clocking in at the 10-minute mark already, Faki's tribute mix is not much shorter, but manages to fill the spaces between beats with lots of fresh details, lifting the song's energy to a new level, while retaining the soft but sexy vibe of Kotai's compostion. Tightening up the mix and making away with vocals alltogether, the Hardspace Tool-version then solely puts its focus on busty beats and percussive prowess, staking its claim as contender for bossiest bassline of the night.
As with all releases of LF RMX, the proceeds of this record will be forwarded to the Berlin organization Straßenkinder e.V. to be used in actions against child poverty.
Madben is back on Astropolis records with a pure ravey colored techno track in the pure main style from the artist, Moment of Unitarian gathering of the crowd. Light Sentence and Tension are pure actual techno weapons, raw and rough, deep and dance floor in the same time. And finally we are lucky to receive the Masters SLAM founders from Soma records for a fantastic pure techno remix, efficient, this weapon should destroy most of the dance floors, enjoy !

Ellum Audio welcomes impressive new school talent Raxon for four suitably cosmic techno tracks. Raxon hails from Egypt, is Barcelona based and has risen through the ranks with a well-crafted and emotive techno sound on labels like Diynamic, Kompakt, Cocoon and more. This summer he has been playing the revered Resistance Ibiza at Privilege as well as festivals like DGTL. Though he has made big moves in recent years, Raxon has been deeply involved in the scene for more than two decades.
Opener ‘Andromena’ is a tense and futuristic groove that keeps you in suspense. Synths and chords ride up and down the scales without resolving and will make for a rapturous effect in the clubs. The superb ‘Vortex Cortex’ is stripped back, driving techno with a sleek bassline and sci-fi sounds making it all the more cinematic. The whole track feels like it is going to take off and carry you away to the stars. After the scene-setting ambience of ‘Introspect’ - a short and atmospheric interlude with more cosmic sounds, pulses and sonar blips - the excellent ‘Second Contact’ closes things out. A dark and prickly jam with expertly programmed drums that are broken and punchy, this one is about creating real intergalactic energy and is does that in style. This is Raxon’s most accomplished EP yet, and as such is perfectly at home on tgmthe mighty Ellum Audio.

Be As One boss Shlomi Aber’s latest driving four track release lands on Joseph Capriati’s Redimension imprint.
The Barcelona-based Israeli artist has refined his ability to deliver sub thumping releases for more than a decade. With previous appearances on Bpitch and Figure, Aber aligns perfectly with Redimension’s roster which features the likes of Fur Coat, Anthony Parasole, Adam Beyer and label head himself, Joseph Capriati.
‘Zohar’ opens with cantering chords, solid analogue kicks and splashing cymbals before ‘Tora’ then follows with down pitched keys, tight rides, a rattling synth line and subtle risers. On the flip ‘Woodhill Grove’ bubbles with a dark arpeggiated lead, slicing percussion and crackling distortion noise when ‘Going Distance’ then closes with echoed stabs, zapping electronic hits, swung drums and hissing hats.-hats, floating pads and a punchy kick.

"Off the Leash' is the cry of morphed pack animals from a UFO crash site. It's radiated saliva dripped onto cold machinery burning through circuit boards. .The first transmission morphs from cyborg electro to broken down party frequencies. It's conspiracy meetings caught on short wave radio.
The b side hits it harder, rolling tough with some nasty B-Boy Party electro and a euphoric hardcore cut complete with acid lines swooping in like winged beast. A fitting soundtrack to a midnight cruise across the landfill dunes as mutants creep into your backyard as the bros sink into the dunes.

Every night, the young men's dreams are invaded by space shuttles and alien creatures. Every morning, the two guys try to keep the sounds of those hallucinations alive.
For the second EP, Supercinema Records is proud to welcome Detroit veteran techno producer Luke Hess. Luke s choice to release on Supercinema came quite naturally: I m very excited for this release since the record is being realized through a new label owned by great friends who are very passionate about the music & the community it creates.
Same thoughts came to Patrick Russell, another great US producer, when asked to deliver a remix for this EP: The label has a great vision and their aesthetic/design is really something special.

>An Der Grenze An Der Grenze Fragments EP< (ADG001) by Brussels-based music producer Icon Template. Vinyl Only.
2x12" !
An der Grenze (ADG) is glad to introduce you to its 5th release "Talka" on 2 x 12" (ADG005) by Moscow- based composers, live performers & DJs OID & Anrilov, and revisited by Unbroken Dub.
Whereas OID, a versatile artist, has made a name for himself with releases on DJ Koze's PAMPA, Milnormodern and PNN, Anrilov releases here his first solo track. Unbroken Dub, for his part, already has a significant experience with multiple releases on Rawax as well as solo EPs on Delsin and Resonance Moscow, amongst others.
On vinyl 1, each artist presents his own version of "Talka". Whereas OID proposes a dark, mind-blowing and bewitching version, Anrilov opts for a rather cadenced, breakbeat and mystic one.
On vinyl 2, Unbroken Dub delivers two different interpretations of "Talka". On the A-side, his Refix is deep, linear and mystic whereas, on the B-side, his remix appears to be the best musical translation of his artist name: serene and dubby.
Surplus Ships is sort of an odd - beat based - vinyl version of Pomassl's Spare Parts album (Raster Noton 2009). With hints from his excellent Skeleton material released by Sabotage/Laton/Sex Tags Mania (1996-2007) his new mini-LP takes fragments of dubstep, techno, skwee, even oriental atonal melodies and merges it with Pomassl's signature industrial attitude and avant sense of compositions. Enter the quality sonic world of Pomassl!

Detroit imprint My Baby returns with its third musical offering, a split release from two Motor City heavyweights, in the form of Rex Sepulveda and Acid Pimp.
This fledgling vinyl only label has got off to a superb start showcasing music from Detroit locals on its first two stellar Eps. With a focus on the underground sound of the city it resonates with global fans of quality house and techno and continues to do so here with four outstanding new tracks.
First up is Acid Pimp, a DJ & producer who has been an integral part of Detroit’s music scene since the early 90s. His distinct sound saw him release a string of classic twelves on the Cheshire imprint, whilst his DJing took him from the warehouse parties of the city to international clubs like Tresor. He founded the ‘Friction Detroit’ night in his home town, hosting the likes of Ben Sims, Regis and Chris Liebing, and he co-founded the M-Nus sub label D- Records with Richie Hawtin and two other friends. The first of his two offerings is the superb ‘Re-Ak-O-Pan’, seven minutes of intense, industrial tinged techno with taut drums working alongside panning synths and static machine noise to superb effect. This is complemented by the looped excellence of ‘Lupe 09’, a rolling groove that is sure to lock in any dancefloor.
The flipside sees another of Michigan’s sons in the shape of Rex Sepulveda. Rex has a musical history dating back to 90s, he was one of the aforementioned friends that launched D-Records with Acid Pimp and Richie Hawtin and has released original and remix material on a number of imprints. His first cut here is ‘Rex presents Dvda’ a deep, brooding affair populated by rubbery, acidic synths and razor-sharp percussion. This is a pure early-hours number that is sure to twist up the floor wherever it’s dropped. Closing the package we have ‘Rexie’s Orgasm’ a spacious, and understated track that perfectly captures the echoing sounds of a cavernous warehouse space.
This is a sterling package of quality underground sounds from the city that sparked the fire.
Widely acclaimed techno pioneer Nicole Moudaber has delivered the release of her 'Adoption' EP, a two-track production on Nicole's own MOOD label which sees the dynamic producer tackle two tracks from one of the most important innovators of dance music since the 90s, Moby.
First up she offers a uniquely dark and twisted rework of 'Like a Motherless child', pitching down Moby's vocals to create a deep demonic sound, verging into a range of immersive textures.
On the flip side Moudaber spins a heavy and grinding feel on her remix of Moby's 'Mere Anarchy', (taken from 2018 album 'Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt'). Moudaber packs the mix with haunting melodies, with the subtle use of orchestral sounds adding a hypnotic feel to the release.
Nicole's MOOD has served as a home for an array of the most intriguing productions of recent times since launching 5 years ago, previously hosting names such as Carl Craig, Alvaro Am, Pan-Pot, Pleasurekraft and Carl Cox, who Nicole recently collaborated with for her milestone 50th release on the imprint. An event promoter, record label founder, radio host, and one of the most passionately followed DJ/producers in the world, Nicole Moudaber is a one-woman army marching her muscular take on techno all over the globe.

A1) The first track of the compilation, - Nuk by subjected is based on square sounding loops, driven by soft as well as dynamic sounding hi hats. It's character would suit openings and peak time sets.
A2) Second track produced by Italian powerhouse - Kaiser is filled with pulsating sounds, which makes you feel as if you are space traveling, leaving you with an impression of touching the future instead of the past.
B1) - SX One , starting with a moody pads smoothly turns into properly stomping track. When the throbbing sound is appearing we have no doubt thatthis track would perfectly suit big room venues. Great track by the rising techno queen Denise Rabe.
B2) Coming to an end, we meet a track of another Italian producer. MTD delivers a hypnotic and pounding piece, gradually releasing it's uprising temper.

Phase Fatale makes his Ostgut Ton debut with J.G. Ballard-inspired EP Over the past four years, Hayden Payne aka Phase Fatale has earned a reputation as a techno innovator, both for the broad spectrum of dystopian electronics included in DJ sets as well as his deep understanding of synthesis and sound design in his own productions. Having previously released on labels such as Jealous God, Payne made his Unterton debut with last year's Anubis EP. Since then he has settled into residences at both Berghain in Berlin and Khidi in Tbilisi, released his first LP on Hospital Productions and kicked off his own label BITE with a collaborative EP between himself and Silent Servant. On his debut 4-track EP for Ostgut Ton, Reverse Fall, The New York native has sharpened the rhythmic contours of his productions, creating an imposing wall of sound within the techno framework. Inspired in part by Crash, J.G. Ballard's dystopian novel on the fetishization of car crashes, Reverse Fall is uncompromising motorized, cybernetic techno - infused with haunting soundtrack-like flourishes reminiscent of films by directors John Carpenter and Dario Argento. The night drive is audible from the get go on the EP's title track, accelerating and swerving at the pace of a dark, melodic bassline and distorted hi-hats. From there, the lumbering tempo, drone and teeth chattering sonics on 'Incision' (A2) suggest twisted wreckage. 'Blackbox' (B1) picks up the speed with whip-crack snares, rim shots and bursts of distortion, while EP closer, 'Empty Whip' (B2) offers a more spacious groove, where staccato synth lines flash across the stereo image, punctuated by the sounds of metal-on-metal. While Reverse Fall is a slight departure from Payne's previous releases in its concentrated focus on techno, it's this focus that is also the EP's motor.
Phase Fatale vero¨ffentlicht J.G.

The Fifth Kingdom presents it’s second release, 3 transcendental trips from label head Ancestral Voices. Title track Samhain is a return to dexterous syncopation, a rhythmic ritual that aptly celebrates our descent into the new season. Fómhar slides deeper, translating the Autumn harvest into a mood that seeps from the tracks pores. Blewit Mist captures the morning glow, a glowing ambient passage that carries us into our new environment.

Adding to previous 12'es on Ostgut Ton and his own RK label fellow Neuko¨llner and Berghain resident Kobosil offers four new uncompromising Techno club tools.
While all cuts on the 105 release share filthy, stone-cold, elemental rhythms - pounding, energetic and hypnotic 4/4 kick drum slaps - the devil is, like with all Kobosil productions, in the aesthetic details. '40000 L' uses gargling synth patterns and howling horns to dramatic effect; 'Bei Nacht H (178)' contrasts the kick with a harsh, tinny drumbeat and menacing melody pad, creating a nightmarish vibe.
'Backmask N' on B1 offers heavily alienated vocal samples alongside rave-reminiscing synth stabs and staggered hi-hat percussion. 'Derange' closes this four-tracker with grainy drone echoes and throbbing, sizzling synth pulses.
Adding to Kobosil's full-floor-focussed sonic repertoire 105 shows him from his darkest and most vigorous side yet - this 12' is a brute, in the most positive sense.

Dutch Techno master Orlando Voorn has opened up his archive for the second essential instalment of an ongoing artist focused series brought to you by new imprint Above Board Projects. Part 2 opens with the minimalistic bladerunner Techno of Voorn & Juan Atkins' Infiniti classic 'Game One', a true modern classic, also featured is the rolling, paranoia inducing late night groove of 'Dream World' from one of Voorn's more obscure projects Complex, all showcasing a wide variety of styles and sounds. Flawless selections from the early 90's sitting alongside later productions only go to show how diverse and talented an artist Voorn is and how fresh and vital his music still is today. An essential collection for any serious techno lover. All tracks fully licensed and remastered with the full permission of Orlando Voorn. Remastering and lacquers by Curvepusher. Compiled and directed by the Above Board Projects team. Design and layout by atelier Superplus. 2019.

Rounding-off a landmark year for Clark which saw an accelerated drive for variety and freshness - including skewed renditions of Bach performed at the Royal Albert Hall and a hugely acclaimed score for TV series ‘Kiri’ - the leftfield legend takes it back to the source with two bangers for the massive.
The riff-powered heavy electrics of ‘Branding Problem’ romp from Detroit to Belgium via Chicago and the M25. It’s platinum-grade dancefloor techno, but it’s more too. The production flair and inventive sound sculpting ensure a level of quality and originality not found in your average grist-for-the-mill DJ fodder.
‘Legacy Pet’ is hardcore and tech step dipped in loopy juice; it’s the sound of a raver wandering out from a cavernous warehouse, across fields and into an enchanted dingily dell dance, throwing gun fingers with the goblins and faeries.
“I’ve been quite amused at how easy it is to stream background music these days. How accessible it all is and how entitled we all feel to it, like it’s some sort of air freshener you spray in your Uber.
For some reason I’m imagining a future where Elon Musk does a streaming deal, so he can prance around controlling nano implant VR chips for 1 million amortal coastal elites, while the rest of us don’t have electricity and only manage one rave a year - to a sound system powered by rationed candles. This is music for that fantasy scenario, ha.
Anyway, I don’t want these 2 tracks to be part of background air freshener world. They are limited edition club gear. I wanna play them out so badly in my live show.
Influences: Hardcore UK rave, Detroit techno, Jungle, Oizo, Ed Rush and Optical, No U-Turn. The origins, the source and it’s constant subsequent mutations. BEHOLD THE CONTINUUM, HARDCORE WILL NEVER DIE.” Clark
The first artist other than label head Patrick Topping to release on TRICK , his Geordie compatriot Adamson delivers an eclectic mix of tracks. The EP opener and title track, ‘Electric Acid Tater Tots’ is an acid-soaked techno slammer, strung together by Elliots own robotic vocals. Skream then steps up to deliver the labels first ever remix, a trippy, high-energy workout, before the Electric Acid Tater Vox offers a stripped-back vocal version which is available exclusively on the vinyl. Over on the B-side, ‘NYC Dada’ is an infectious disco-house edit destined to fill countless dancefloors, then ‘11am in Brisbane’ delves into melodic techno waters.
“I don't recall writing the lyrics, but I like to believe they appeared in the notes in my phone delivered by some divine spirit via the medium of an Apple iPhone XR - cheers Steve,” Adamson jokes. “About four instrumentals existed for about four weeks and I would often find myself standing on the table at parties singing out the lyrics excitedly trying to explain that 'this is my song.’” - Elliot Adamson The record is also accompanied by two exclusive bonus tracks. Lesgo Lesgo Lesgo is a true techno odyssey and bonus purely for digital copies of the EP. Then, there is the Electric Acid Tater Tots (Acid Mix) , a secret dubplate that has only been sent out to a select number of DJs. A true weapon for the warehouses.
“Elliot had to be the first artist, other than myself, to release on TRICK!” Topping enthuses. “ I’ve been championing his music for years and this release has been a long time coming. He’s now helping me A&R and is a resident at the label parties. His EP genre-hops and this is what TRICK is all about.” - Patrick Topping
4trk-028 the Oscillate EP is a collaborative effort from Francesco De Luca and Jason Patrick. The title track of the release, Oscillate springs into action with it’s tough modulating bassline and keeps the energy pumping throughout with spacey synths, heavily effected drums, crisp hi-hats, and more. The second track of the release, Oblivion, gets on with an otherworldly synth line that works away in tandem with another poly synth. Processed 909 percussions bits are laced throughout the track. Trumbull & Fort is an electro tune that pays homage to the genre’s roots with it’s title being the names of the cross streets in Detroit where the Metroplex post office is located. Deep atmospheric synth pads, bleeps and bloops, a polyrhymic synth, 808 drums snap
Fierce acid and techno cuts by I Murdered, Berlin local Janice and US-born, Berlin-relocated Luis Flores reignite the flame with their hardline second outing and first for Reclaim Your City, 'Blood In Blood Out'. Both schooled under the banner of mind-intrusive techno that packs a punch, the two have forged distinctively wild sound signatures, steering at a distance from weak-kneed raving pose and increasingly unsubstantial trends. As I Murdered, Janice and Luis explore the most severely trenchant facet of their respective universes, immersing their heavy-duty analogue wares through halls of noisey abrasion and further ear-splitting, gut-churning FXs to keep the adrenaline rushing in torrential downpours. Comprised of two originals and a pair of remixes courtesy of boundary-pushing Canadian duo Orphx and Justin Broadrick under his JK Flesh alias, the EP plunges us in a wildly enjoyable kind of nightmarish, dungeon-like scenario. While the title-track makes for some Frankensteinian creature of sorts, electric riffs bringing its dead flesh to life as thunder strikes all over the place, Orphx revamp gives it a more straightforward, acid whip, cutting the raw gem into a further efficient, club-suitable weapon. Flip sides and 'Insomnia' unleashes the rogue, murdering stomp on a harsh EBM/cold wave-infused tip, with JK Flesh flying in on intruder mission for some last ditch heroics, breathing in a healthy dose of hyperventilating vox samples, knee-buckling breaks and face-melting junglistic moves in true Source Direct fashion. 'Blood In Blood Out' will appear as a limited edtion, red on red themed die-cut package with full coloured vinyl and a spot varnished inner sleeve.

Special Request joins forces with Nina Kraviz and Anastasia Kristensen, shattering the doors of perception over a four-track EP. 'Through The Looking Glass' drops July 20th on Houndstooth. On the A side, Nina Kraviz provides two interpretations of 'Curtain Twitcher'. 'Alice Was Here Remix' takes the intensity of the original and boils it into a 4/4 spin of frenzied basslines and distorted acoustics, punctuated by her languid reading of the Mad Hatter. For the 'Samba Version', syncopated polyrhythms take charge of a fragmented melody.
Opening the AA side, 'Looking Glass' lures you down the rabbit hole with mysterious bleeps, only to reveal a whirlwind of stormy breaks and junglist percussion. Closing off the trip, Anastasia Kristensen's remix of 'Tiresias' marches its way through a field of swollen bass and glitchy percussion.

360 degrees of freedom is overwhelming in music, and you need not truly begin to find freedom until you put yourself under extremely narrow constraints.” It was with this quote that Don Slepian laid the groundwork for over 40 years of musical output. Slepian’s work draws equally from the harmonic terrain he explored while performing with a Javanese gamelan ensemble, as well as his time spent building and modifying electronic audio equipment for studios and fellow musicians. Gravitating towards improvisation and experimentation, Slepian built a breathtaking sound-world that stretched the briefest of moments into an eternity of detail and depth. In 1980, Slepian self-released a series of cassette albums that built upon and perfected this practice, offering “New Music for Digital Orchestra”.
New Dawn is one of those albums - an enthralling example of New Age euphoria, and early-electronic
experimentation.
New Music For Digital Orchestra? An ironic subtitle for an album without any traces of digital technology found within. The instruments, tools, and recording techniques are entirely analog. A Korg PS3100, Mellotron voices, Mellotron flutes, analog tape echo and analog recorder were used to create both of the pieces found on New Dawn with both tracks being recorded live with no overdubs
Dream Cycle returns for the third instalment in his series of EPs on Sneaker Social Club. 4 tracks cover a range of moods from the tough, club ready 2 step on “Told You” to the slo-mo ambient throb of “Untitled Dream”.

In compiling a remix 12” for the most recent Homemade Weapons LP - Gravity, we approached 2 titans of underground electronic music who have both been supportive of Homemade Weapons and Samurai Music. Donato Dozzy and Tommy Four Seven have each been utilising our releases in their sets and we have been inspired and grateful for their fearless deployment of drum and bass to their predominately Techno audiences.
No stylistic directive or requests were given. We trusted these two gifted artists to interpret the music in their own unique fashion, but in all honesty expected remixes around the techno tempo. What we received back are 2 landmark drum and bass versions that re-define the nexus between Drum and Bass and Techno.
Samurai Music has worked for many years in both Drum and Bass and Techno and constantly explored the middle ground between the two. Many Drum and Bass producers have been releasing their version of this cross over but producers from the Techno sphere coming at Drum and Bass have been fewer and less successful.
Donato’s remix is a poignant reduction that strips Svalsat to a potent shuddering core, splashing grey swatches onto a constant rhythmic build. The maestro’s power of subtle, hypnotic transformation applied to the 170 tempo sculpts the rhythm to searing perfection.
Tommy Four Seven reforms Red Tide into a grinding undulation, a thrusting and propulsive menace with titanium strength breakbeats bulging at the edges of it’s construction.

Retrocausality features eight new tracks spread across two EPs. Thematically, the record is inspired by the idea that spirituality and science can crossover and blend, such as the theories of quantum physics and Buddhism, according to the press release. The EPs are titled A Posteriori ("from cause") and A Priori ("from result"), meant to highlight the duality of perception. The music is a mix of ambient, drum & bass and techno in the Grey Area style pioneered by ASC, Sam KDC and Horo label head Geoff Wright.
The Japanese artist, real name Maiko Okimoto, first released an album on Horo in 2017. Earlier this year, she also put out the Figure And Ground EP via Sacred Court.

A1) Sept opens up the EP with the powerful track /'82Chaos Collider/'91. A greasy bassline with a punchy kick connects perfectly with an accompany of delayed vocal loops and dynamically working percussions. All this turns the track into a serious dancefloor weapon.
A2) The second track is a subjective vision of the title track mixed by Setaoc Mass. Mysterious and atmospheric sounds with a well compressed kick and groovy drums - that is what we call the signature style of Manchester born uprising star.
B1) Putting on the B-side you will find an original production by Sept. Stomping kick, eerie sounds and a LFOed main lead - that is what makes Sin Area a good choice for peak time hours.
B2) For the final track on this release, the Berlin based label welcomes Stroboscopic Artefact/'92s Pfirter. His massive off beat interpretation, filled with arcane sounds is dedicated to the challenging music lovers.

In the era of micro dosing, Squirrels On Film will provide you with a generous portion of the good stuff. Build your Acid House into an Acid Pleasure Fantasy Castle Extravaganza with the current selections from these various squirrels (on Acid). “Unless You Have Wings Like a Bat” will conjure the ghosts of rave past for the séance, and all your funky friends have been invited. The Warehouse has drum machines in the red, and skeletons in the closet, all wearing smiley face masks and handing you gel tabs you probably shouldn't take. A Squirrel you'll be hearing from more in the phuture, Chris Mitchell hits next with “trks.” The dystopian dance party is on tonight. There's no going back. You're too far gone. The walls only appear to be shaking and breathing heavily like they're dancing and you're standing still.
San Francisco's Sepehr jacks the tab further on “Servant's Taunt” like the Criminal Justice Act had never been passed. It could be Miami Bass or a field in England but it's a party, and everyone's eyes are perfectly dilated.
Bayview Acid Squirrels "Love Is The Slug" is pure phuture phantasy pleasuredome meltdown. You Will Never Be The Same.

*Highly recommended* 2019 Repress of Archetype ''CN2'' alias project.
NYC Veteran and machine wizard Charles Noel aka Archetype reaches deep into hissonic archive to present another incredibly special release on Bright Sounds.
Featuring exclusive previously unreleased material ranging from abstract to sublime in the form of a new & unique alias, (CN2). Essential
Sascha Borchardt (a.k.a Monoloc) will start a label, Unterland, with a new EP.
The label will serve as a vehicle through which the German producer takes a step away from the club environment by presenting new sonic interpretations, including experimental, minimalist, and atmospheric. Material will come from Monoloc himself and friends, and the focus will be on 'dramatic' sounds with drone and noise influences. Think movie soundtracks and film music, albeit with both feet planted in the electronic genre. Each release will aim to 'tell a story' through 8 to 10 productions.
Unterland will launch in end of march 2018 with a collaborative EP by Monoloc and Beauty of Inconsequenz, a unsearchable and unidentified project with no previous recording history. The eight tracks are all based heavily on field recordings; the sound is dark and deeply atmospheric with dubstep influences. While distanced somewhat from the 4/4 format, the tracks are cerebral and hypnotic.
From there on, there will be 3-4 releases per year, each of which will be accompanied by high quality artwork as curated by Borchardt, who will work closely with selected photographers and artists to provide imagery that aesthetically compliments the music.

Following last year's 'Vitriol' EP and 'Otider' album, SSTROM is back on Rosten with 'Drenched', 12 tracks for the floor, divided on 3 EPs, each to be released three weeks apart. SSTROM is the project of Hannes Stenstrom, once part of Swedish band Slagsmalsklubben, and one half of enigmatic techno duo SHXCXCHCXSH (SHX). SSTROM's output is explicitly immersive, relying on tense immediacy and spontaneity. The subtle 4x4 pulsations frame vivid narratives, rich layers of texture with lush harmonies surfacing from the warm and alien flow. On his 'Otider' LP SSTROM manifested a sonic diversity relating to his personal experiences and incorporated a diversity of genres and elements ranging from '90s rave to hints of minimal synth or outsider house melodic sensibility, yet everything carefully merged into a coherent whole. On 'Drenched' SSTROM concretizes his ideas even further. The EP's came to life after he broke his computer by spilling a drink on it. It forced him to try out different techniques of composing and recording. With limited ways of working, a more minimalistic form of expression emerged, based on very short but mind-bending harmonic structures and layered pulsations. The process proved to be very creative and resulted in these twelve tracks whose magic will work best on EP format and for the floor.

After ten years of not taking themselves too seriously the Groningen creative collective KopjeK thought it was high time for the next step. Their residents have grown from local-pub-DJ’s to (inter)nationally acclaimed DJ’s and producers, so starting their own record label feels felt like a logical move. KOPREC001 is the debut solo-EP of Nathan Homan and features two originals; the breaky, spacey and pacey club banger “CUL8TR” on A1 and the more smooth, sexy and laid back house stomper “Wapperwang” on the flip side. The EP is completed by two remixes; one slow paced, highly emotional and arpeggio-heavy rework of “CUL8TR” by Tjade, the producer who recently rose to fame with his “Koi Jaye edit” on Bordello a Parigi, and a heavy drum and acid infused rework of “Wapperwang” by Mathijs Smit, the latest addition to the KopjeK talent pool.

Google for Proxyan and you quickly get lost in the world of Bitcoins and proxy servers. Don’t go there and simply accept the fact that this illusive Dutchman does not want his true identity to be known. Our advice: embrace the mystery and focus on his music instead, which is a tight fit between Detroit infused electro (think Ectomorph, Ersatz Audio and Dopplereffekt) and the melodic wonders of Brits like Silicon Scally and Mark Pritchard. Proxyan’s productions are both slinky and funky, with much attention to detail and rhythm. The fascination for Motor City funk is most apparent in ‘Network 313’ but shimmers troughout this energetic 4 track-EP. Amsterdam based knob twidler Tracey (Voyage Direct, Dial) delivers a spot on remix which combines melancholica with a crisp production. His version of Human Error Processor is as bitter as a decent dry Martini under a setting sun. Every single sleeve of this mysterious EP will be a unique work of art by graphic designer Steele Bonus, thanks to the manual printing process.

compilation of 12”-only cuts, it features his Jim Jones-sampling ‘Solution (Voice)’ amid a ruck of prime, dark and killer late ‘90s techno girders Revolving definitively monotone and snaky templates for the Birmingham techno sound forged by Regis (alongside Surgeon, Female, Mick Harris and Justin Broadrick), ‘Necklace Of Bites’ is built in the driving, distorted and highly utilitarian style that spilled out of Brum’s Q Club in the mid ’90s,
and which continues to infect the sets of DJs such as Helena Hauff and Blawan well into 2019.
Back before main room techno became meme-ified as “business techno”, these tracks were the Black Country shirehorses of peak time DJ slots across the UK, EU and the world. Influenced as much by Jeff Mills’ Axis and Purpose Maker 12”s and hardass Chicago house as original ‘80s industrial and post-punk, the dozen tracks epitomise Regis’ signature distillation of proper, bluecollar club sounds made for those who like to play hard and all night, and as such they’re future-proofed for use over 20 years later.
The set in particular highlights Regis’ hypnotically sexy and arguably rare use of vocal sampling in the inexorable, militant charges of ‘Execution Ground’, ‘Baptism’, and ‘Purification (Endless)’, while his use of a muffled Jim Jones sample on ’Solution (Voices)’ predates his use of Jones in BMB by half a decade. More to the point, the compilation also holds precious DJ tool bruisers in the likes of his lip-bitingly infectious roller ‘Wound Us’, and the industrial galvanics of ‘Adolescence’ and ‘Rites’
that still kill in the modern day.

Not Waving makes his anti-fascist feelings clear with two banging tracks that trust dancefloor irony is not dead and leftist solidarity is alive in 2019
Closing out a banner year with a club-ready boot up the ass, Not Waving’s Alessio Natalizia follows his divergent 2019 outings beside Jim O’Rourke, Mark Lanegan and Jay Glass Dubs with a
wildly driven lunge for the strobes. Balancing pure escapism with a reminder to dance and laugh at the populist peckers that dominate the news and global politics, this 12” is exactly the kind of
statement that should be heard more often in underground music’s naturally left-leaning network of inter-linked, fringe and minority communities.
The A-side’s Belgian new beat-styled détournement ‘Tremendous’ makes ironic use of a foamy-mouthed but blithe Tr*mp speech about the Paris attacks, sliced and jacked into a strapping mix of
jagged EBM arps and Italo/Detroit chromatics with a naggingly playful aesthetic that harks back to Belgian new beat and UK rave’s mix of pop-politics and subversive escapism.
His B-side ’S.M’ then opens with a rabble-rousing recording of Italian students chanting “Salvini, merda” against Matteo Salvini - Italy’s immigrant-hating far-right former deputy Prime Minister -
over a bucking, pulsing electro groove that sounds like CoH jamming Ro Maron.
Acts of subversive defiance such as this, encouraging dissent and ridicule of pompous right wing blowhards - and no matter how small in the wider scheme of things - have never been so vitally
required in the modern day.

ENDLESS MEANINGSLESSNESS
Two heroes of UK techno combined in one release. FEINWERK proudly presents its second vinyl
Limited Edition Endless Meaninglessness' with a smashing duo: Dave Tarrida meets Tobias
Schmidt. It's the Superman vs. Batman showdown of Brighton techno.
Inevitably, five powerful tracks are paving their ways through your speaker. Right on the A-side,
Tobias Schmidt presents three chapters of finest techno experimentalism from his digital release
Blonde Horror'. Rhythm and style create an acoustic weirdness with a sci-fi taste and a
playground for your imagination. Turning around on the B-side, you find two of Dave Tarrida's
thrilling tracks from his digital piece People Are Fragile'. Each of them merges colossal bass
drums, driving beats and a voluminous sound conglomerate in its own way - rough and ruthless,
dark but honest.
Clearly, this milestone vinyl release is a blast on the turntables and an honor for each record
cabinet.
TOBIAS SCHMIDT
He is one of the big names that shaped the UK techno sound of the mid 90s. Along with Neil
Landstrumm, Cristian Vogel and Dave Tarrida, Tobias Schmidt was one of the key figures that
coined an electronic music era that got famous under the name of Brighton techno'. This special
kind of sound stood in close relation to labels like Tresor, Telepatic, Scandinavia, and Sativae -
so did Tobias Schmidt.
It was the early 90s when the Scottish artist appeared on the scene. Since then, he has been
building a strong reputation as an wild and experimentalist producer and a stunning live performer
- whether as solo act or together with artist friends such as Neil Landstrumm. In 1999, Tobias
Schmidt temporarily also transformed into le Chimp Atomique, an artist who combines dark
techno grooves with multiple influences creating an ironic sound mixture. No matter under which
name, he is an experimentalist at heart with quite a sense of humor!
DAVE TARRIDA
Grown up as a techno artist within the 90s UK scenery in line with Neil Landstrumm, Tobias
Schmidt and Cristian Vogel, Dave Tarrida sounds just like one of those loud, sweaty, really dark
underground clubs with too many strobes to see but just enough to keep your heart rate at a max.
Most well known as one of the founding members of the legendary Sativa club in Edinburgh, he
still retains this ravy, industrial feeling in his tracks and remains an ambassador of never ending
electronic roughness - as a DJ as well as a producer.
His smashing tracks have been released on labels such as the famous Tresor, Outpost
Recordings, and of course on the club-related label Sativae Recordings, which he co-runs with
Steve Glencross, as well as on his more recent founded own label AUTOFAKE.
FEINWERK
FEINWERK is the hardcore porno everybody hides deep down in his closet. Not everybody has
the guts to confess to it, but everybody owns the desire for it. It's the urge to resent all
conventions and solely listen to what your body is longing for - pure hard underground real shit
fucking music!
Reminding the techno scene of the mind blowing beats of unique electronic sounds, such as the
Brighton techno, FEINWERK is coming back with its new badass interpretation of experimental
underground techno with a mixture of industrial and minimal influences involving an apocalyptic
touch.

The T.E.W. (Traveling into Esotheric World) project was born in 1993 from Simone Renghi and Boccia Bean, really busy as DJs at the time since many years, the first focused on the dancefloor, the second on turntables. They met each other discovering they both had to spread their musical message not only through playing others music, but linking their minds to synthesizers and drum machines. Their debut was inspired by the great following techno music had in Roma at the time, and after few time they released their first records on different italian electronic music labels like Synthetic, Plasmek and Nature. Then, for their own musical independence, they chose to found their own label, Habitat Records. Even if it was part of the ambient techno productions of the time, their music had something about folk, because in some way it told about the bucolic landscapes just outside Roma, natural places so close to the eternal city where they still live in, and about the emotions that only who lives so closed to his own born place can feel, expressing himself in his own original way.
In 2014, after a long time far from the scene, during which they contributed to their solo projects, 18 years after their debut the independent roman label Electronique printed their new record, Eighteen: two tracks from their 1996 and 1997 archive never released before. Their sound is something out of time, with no context and far from any idea of business, all features that make their music so current. Every time someone put their records on a turntable, their music is able to open a way to suggestions, memories and reasonings that make us feeling their own language so deeply, a kind of sound that has really something to say.
On 2019 T.E.W. are back with a new Habitat release, iPHiiUNiCi 1/3, the beginning of a new musical phase from the duo that many people admitted as one of the absolutely most underestimate techno projects.

Robotron successfully autonomized and has now breached the mainframe. This is its second offering for the ESP Institute. Side A’s Exodus picks up where the last 12” left off, the spoils of cybernetic war as scavenged by the now-defunct Xinner and translated by Robotron into machine dance music for a post-apocalyptic future. With only a select few analog machines with which to communicate, it manages to produce the most bombastic beat we’ve heard this side of the acid winter—a mighty compressor permeates all spare gaps in the waveform, as communicative bleeps and note-bending mechanics work in concert to assemble a highly dynamic composition— emboldening us with courage for a new age. On the flip side, Kamchatkan renders a sparse image of a only remaining organic life, found in the furthest Eastern reaches of the Asian continent, the Kamchatka peninsula. Here, Robotron experienced a metamorphosis, a collapse of its structured programming in which it became self-aware and transitioned from its quantitative agenda to a qualitative enlightenment. This breath of new life invigorated Robotron’s musical approach as heard in the aforementioned title, revealing an uncanny ability for humanistic percussion and lyrical Acid melodies. These two programs will conduct synchronized dances for the masses.
Planet Rhythm continues the Various Artists series with a versatile 4-tracker containing tracks by Planet Rhythm regulars and a relative newcomer to the scene. The A-side features a deep groover by Yan Cook as well as an atmposheric track by promising act ALPI. The B-side is home to two tracks that lean more toward the harder and more repetitive part of the label's broad spectrum.

Dan HabarNam returns to Chris Farrell's label with a follow up to last years acclaimed 'Draw Your Pattern' 12". Picking up where that left off 'Major Blinks' delves deeper into sub heavy techno with superb sound design and depth. On the flip 'The Source' transfixes with its eerie pads and broken drums. Another strong release from this label and another chapter in this unique Romanian artist's story.
Last summer during an evening spent with my friend Dj Topha, we came upon the everlasting subject of old versus new. 'I'm finding so much great music right now, and not just digging back in time but exploring our own timeline geographically too,' he said, 'The level of production these days is rising fast. You have to check out these snippets from a new label based in Casablanca.' m Not long after, in an interesting twist of fate, Driss Bennis and I began to exchange music: I shared his Soundcloud for the first Casa Voyager release, and he sent me a promo copy which I played out a lot. It seemed only logical to ask him for music for Basic Moves. Later that summer we met in Paris for a convivial back to back at Dawidu's shop, Te Iubesc Records and Sapology. It was as simple as that, and in a few weeks Basic Moves 04 was ready. Night Train and Overseas blew me away by their quality - the tracks are retro-esque yet fresh, and stem from a loose approach to electro. Their arrangements are very smart; not everything is revealed the first time round. The more you listen, the more you understand that the power of the tracks lies in the details. Together with Ailsa's artwork, Stefan's cut and Chris' mixes the release fell so smoothly into place.
I have come to realise how important it is for the scene to release recently produced music as well as treasures from the past. You can't build a community by only playing old records. It's about a combination, about finding gems that glide together. Old and new. And for that, I think both these DJ Booth tracks really fit the bill.
