Intacto Records' co-owner SHINEDOE is back for our 57th
vinyl strike with a strong remix pack of Road 777 EP

SHINEDOE's unique vision of electronic dance music, combined with her talent, dynamism and pioneering spirit have acted as a springboard, propelling her to the forefront of house and techno global club scenes. Internationally recognised for her personal fusion of sounds and genres to create warm funky grooves and always full of surprises.

After the success of Shinedoe's latest release Road 777 EP' on Intacto Records, she has invited an impressive line up of producers to reshape her Road 777' track.

Part 1 features 2 remix versions by Ben Sims, the techno veteran with over 20 years of experience under his belt and known for his energetic mixing skills with his own distinctive blend of tough funk and hardgrooves. Indubitably his productions are marked with exactly this signature style and vision which can be heard on both remixes. On the flipside Daniel Stefanik known for his impresssive releases on Cocoon, worked his own magic blending funk combined with trippy dub vibes into the mix.

Monika Kruse's label Terminal M was founded in the year 2000 and 13 years later it's now time to celebrate the 100. release. And we are very glad that our closest friends Andhim, Yousef, Paul C & Paolo Martini, Pele & Shawnecy and Darlyn Vlys celebrate with us with an exclusive track for this release. And also Monika spent some days in the studio for her very own submission to the compilation. Curious to hear your favorites...

We open the new year with the second part of the remixes for Thomas' 25th anniversary with some awesome work by Kardinal, who took the original Drax track Phosphene to new dimensions, the everlasting energy man Butch with his new remix of the very successful Silent Breed Sync In tune, a more than formidable remix by our man in the UK Gez Varley aka G-Man (also founder and member of LFO) and another bangin' remix by Mr- Shokh from Berlin !

A very nice remix package that takes the originals to the new level !

"Estonian DJ and producer Ali Asker drops three original productions on Green Village Records with remixes from Plan B boss DJ Spider and Sistrum Recordings owner Patrice Scott. Ali Asker is an exciting emerging talent who runs the burgeoning Liitheli Records in Estonia. A meeting at a Berlin jazz night sparked a relationship between him and Green Village Records. Two years later and Asker is finally releasing his 'Ascent EP' on the label, joined by two highly regarded producers on remix duties; DJ Spider, one of New York's most reputable underground producers, as well as Detroit's Patrice Scott, who has consistently delivered quality deep house for well over a decade.

Chiara Kickdrum is a Torino-born, Melbourne-based DJ, producer and composer. Her unfaltering work ethic has secured her a place above the noise of an over-crowded late-night club scene, with the city she now calls home showing no sign of losing its appetite for the mastery and focus any of her sets readily showcases. Her self-titled 12" is the third release from Melbourne's niche imprint Temporal Cast, demonstrating the raw power and depth her production and live performances in particular are known for. This highly limited, long-overdue physical format release of her own is certain to please those who have been eagerly awaiting it.

This EP brings forth two very particular sides of me that represent two contrasting emotions in my world of electronic music. In Rejekted my driven instinct delivers a clear-cut of techno that harvests an athletic type of sound that keeps everything in active to achieve a propulsive and energetic track from start to finish. On the contrary Father of Angels broadens my intellect by digging deeper into my personality to establish a much more passionate sound that is both very sentimental and highly impulsive to my inner self.

Slam and Obscure Shape & SHDW step up for the second wave of Radio Slave 'Grindhouse' remixes on Rekids this February.
One of techno's most iconic records, 'Grindhouse' first appeared on Radio Slave's 'No Sleep' series before spawning multiple remixes from Dubfire, Danton Eeprom, Terence Fixmer and Nic Fanciulli. Kick-started by Len Faki, last year saw the announcement of a series of remixes with more to come from Vatican Shadow, Markus Suckut, Lady Starlight and Special Request.Complete with relentless kicks, sinister drones and industrial elements, Part Two is not for the faint-hearted. Starting with Slam, the Soma bosses keep things dark, with rattling top lines and echoing effects resulting in a truly decadent techno floor destroyer. Following a remix of Radio Slave's 'Vision' in 2016, Obscure Shape & SHDW's abilities are held in high regard by the Rekids owner and their rework of 'Grindhouse' reinforces why. Complete with a rumbling lowend, metallic melodies and soaring synths, the From Another Mind founders continue to establish themselves as two of techno's most exciting names.

Visionquest's Special Editions series returns this July with RILLS' 'You'll Never Be Alone', comprising four originals from the Italian artist. Turin's RILLS has been steadily gaining a strong following over the decade with his tracks being played the likes of Ar:Pi:Ar's Raresh, Daniel Bell, Dyed Soundorom and Cassy, and finding a home on imprints such as 8Bit, In Haus Wax and Esperanza. Here we see RILLS join the roster of Visionquest's vinyl only offshoot label, Special Editions, following material from Jorge Savoretti, Konrad Black and Quilla.
'Zorlak' opens the package and sets the tone of raw and dubby via murky atmospherics, swirling chord sequences and a swinging rhythmic drive, 'Yoda' follows and retains a similarly swung drum groove whilst introducing spaced out, unfolding pads across the composition.
'Stranger Freaks' kicks off the B-Side of the release, stripping things back to bumpy drums, heady resonant synth swells and hypnotic tension buildings drones before 'Paper Beatz' rounds out the package with smooth deep pads, modulating synth stabs and shuffling hats. RILLS' 'You'll Never Be Alone' is out on Visionquest Special Editions 7th July 2017.

Vyvyan wants to keep his real identity secret, which is something I can't help but respect (I did the same for a couple of years).
Without the context of personality, the music really does do the talking, and in this instance it has a lot to say.
Both original tracks on offer here are unashamedly dance floor focussed disco / techno mutations, and they're both as compelling as they are fun. For remixes we've drafted in Paul Woolford, a genuine UK legend, who by this stage is irrefutably nestled in the top tier of the British electronic music Royal Family.
His remix perfectly displays the unconventional wit, and mastery of groove, that's propelled him to where he is today.
I imagine its the only track we'll ever release that begins on a breaks and baseline assault, and ends on samples of farmyard animals. Finishing off the release we have a remix by my dear friend Christophe (Futureboogie) in advance of his own artist EP on Me Me Me later this year.
Christophe skews the original's frenetic rhythms in to a vintage sounding bumping piece of machine driven house with an Italo-esque twist, which is as good as this description sounds.

As Weekend Circuit approach their 20th release, Argentinian duo YYYY return for their second full length EP on the label to celebrate this benchmark.

The YYYY modus operandi is already familiar to the initiated - expressive, raw techno experimentalism from the outer reaches. 'Carry This Blood' is a collection of 4 moods and sounds, carved out with emotion soaked ambience, synapse flaring distortion and machine fracturing rhythms.

'Repent', as the title suggests, takes no prisoners, leaving no survivors in it's wake, it is a glimpse into a tear in the time-space continuum where chaos rules. 'Hands Towards The Giver' is epic, glacial, spacial widescreen techno. Dramatic and urgent, the soundtrack to a doomed planet collapsing from within.

'Carry This Blood' bestows an eerie, cold feeling. An atmosphere of regret and loss hangs over it like a thick fog on a hillside, punctuated only by a heartbeat mimicking kick drum offering a human touch. 'Of Thrones And Comfort' snaps us out of the haze, the fog clears and we are faced with the frenzied electronics and thundering kick drum of this most sinister of tracks.

as a veteran of germany's techno scene, dj emerson has released records since the beginning of the millennia on many labels like clr, analytictrail and desolat, as well as micro.fon and kiddaz.fm which he co-founded in order to retain his artistic freedom and release music from a core roster of other artists.
coming this november via berlin based imprint micro.fon is dj emerson's third full length lp repetitive music'. comprising of 12 tracks this 3rd outing sees dj emerson at its best, showcasing his eclectic skills as a gifted dancefloor craftsman with a unique sense for wide-ranging ideas. the title itself suggests a genre or a manifesto, one that represents and unites emerson's persona from his early artist days to the more defined self of the present.

'Black Dirt' has a solid techno groove with a capturing minimal ms-20-ish hook

Tracks like 'Nola' rely heavily on the pads to create a sense of foreboding, and present more subtle grooves yet very deep and rich in analog warmth.

The second release from Music Makes Us is produced by a young, up and coming producer from Leeds. Einerlei has an unrivaled ability to create long revolving landscapes of techno, which over the course of the track take you on a journey, adding subtle elements as you listen, but retaining the core rif. This ability to create a whole piece of music out of a simple melody may seem simple in its delivery, but as you listen you notice the varying layers that make up these two driving dub techno tracks.

Flawless, idiosyncratic pure Techno stomper.

This is PASOmusic boss Marc Miroir's second single release of his second album Identity Kit. Intakt is highly gripping and shows Marc´s affinity to 90´s techno tracks with filtered Hi-Hats and kicking bells. Unison Wax and Beste Modus artist Diego Krause gives his very own enthralling interpretation of Intakt. Comfort Zone is a signature track of Marc with the vocals of opera singer Adam Schilling. The playfully daunting vocals are set up with long delays, arranged to a warm and driving track with chords and dub sounds. Kia & Handmade produced the unbelievably strong techno remix. Handmade is resident DJ at Tresor and also at Marc´s popular Berlin party MEMBERS and this is his very first release! Kia released her productions on La Peña and Playhouse!

It's safe to say that Terence Fixmer's track "Aktion Mekanik Theme", originally released on Music Man in 2003, was as much a landmark release for techno as the whole Aktion Mekanik compilation was for EBM as a genre. "As an artist who's been pushing EBM sounds into the modernity of Techno it was a logical step to do the compilation back then," Terence says. "I wanted to show my influences as a Techno artist, as Detroit sounds weren't my roots at all, but classics by Front 242, Fad Gadget, Nitzer Ebb, Crash Course In Science or Snowy Red.

I met Music Man's Stefaan Vandenberghe through Emmanuel Top in '93, and of course I was a fan of his label. Music Man was obviously the perfect place for this EBM project: they are from Belgium, they knew the bands, many of them were proud of this sound. So I discussed my idea of putting out a compilation with some classic and landmark tracks from the EBM direction with Stefaan, and it got made."

While Ostgut Ton now releases three new versions of "Aktion Mekanik Theme" by Kobosil, Norman Nodge & Marcel Dettmann, Music Man now reissues the original version on red 12" vinyl.

Already moving forward towards the 5th addition to their catalog within barely one year of existence. The Rotterdam-based Self Reflektion imprint continues to expand their crew presenting a four-track sampler with music from the likes of Logotech (Manifesto/IT), Hiroaki Iizuka (THEM/JP), Remco Beekwilder (Self Reflektion/NL) and Lenson (Paling Trax/NL) - each showing their own perspective in techno music.

From the trippy hypnotic 'The 6th Door' to the overwhelming 'The Circle' on the a-side, and from the straight banging 'Fraud' to the "destroy everything" attitude on 'Envy Cross', this release is just a small example of what is yet to come from this young label.

The latest Milos instalment on his own Receptive Visions label. First cut energy tremor rolls along with it's metallic beats and synth stabs, while samadhi which has a more energetic feel with it's clattering drums and bubbly liquid keyboard lines, will certainly get the dance floor moving.

Zemlya (earth), the final installment of Nocow's three-part EP-series for Figure unearths the artist's maybe most drastic work to date. While opener Libbi still sprouts gently into crystalline arteries of ambiance, the incessant arps of Synchronicity loom ominously. Equally challenging, yet offering conciliation in form of string-led soothing is Rave Button, after which the record finds closure in the seemingly open-ended sound spiral of Troubles Will Be Miles Away.

After successful releases with labels such as Rawax, Taped Artifact & Thule Records, the two Icelandic techno titans bring us yet another intriguing release.A Ohm is best known for his releases on Force Inc with his long-time partner Exos and as an inventive techno DJ. Octal Industries, a veteran who has already gained a reputation within the IDM community under his Ruxpin pseudonym, returns yet again to his origins with collaborating with Ohm, a pioneer of the within the Icelandic scene.
Bardo EP offers us four enigmatic & atmospheric techno tracks with intricate soundscapes and otherwordly chords. From the ethereal sounds of Bardo to the hard hitting Flow Machine,A this EP works as an essential choice for both the dancefloor as well as for dancefloor within your mind.

Techno duo Slam present a brand new artist album 'Machine Cut Noise'.
With the double vinyl album, Machine Cut Noise, Stuart McMillan & Orde Meikle delve into the everyday workings of what makes us human, with life, so to speak, running at the very heart of album. Much of their time is spent on the road, therefore, many of the original ideas for the album were created in airports, hotels and where ever the two found themselves inspired around the world. This created a vibe that each track was born of the modern machine itself.
These concepts are quickly prevalent on the album with every track has a singular purpose or energy unique to itself. Emotive or programmed piece, there is a feeling that the way it has been constructed has been paved by the machines which surrounds us.
Slam have spread the net in terms of production on this album, basing it around their grander tastes in electronic music with the opening pairing of Inauguration & The Afore Mentioned veering into more dystopic sounds and the likes of Viginti Quinque, Ecclesiastic & Evite providing the harder edged themes in the first half of the album. The haunting sounds of Psalm & Anagram bring tension throughout, delivering shades of the future with buzzing, sombre chords set to static interference before one more peak time burst in Corridorsallowing the duo to close out the album in an exceptionally refined way with Obstacle curving slowly downward leaving the ethereal soundscape of Fine.
The pair have lately been on consistent form with a highly prolific run of singles and remixes including the critically acclaimed 'Soma Track Series' all housed on their label Soma Records which is currently celebrating 25 years at the cutting edge of electronic music.

Rising Sun, DJ Fett Burger (as Fett Birger) and Tijana T grace the second remix package of Spencer Parker's 'Different Shapes and Sizes' series on Work Them Records this February.

Following on from the first remix release, which featured DJ Deep, Akirahawks and Setaoc Mass, part two will see more reinterpretations of Spencer Parker's 2017 series from an array of talented producers.

Rising Sun has earnt a cult following for his otherworldly productions as well as curating labels such as Kristofferson Kristofferson, Styrax and Millions of Moments and here we see the accomplished producer
deliver two hypnotic and classic sounding variations of 'Riff Shapes'.
Sex Tags and Freakout Cult cofounder DJ Fett Burger then provides an acid-laced mix of 'Size:Yes' as DJ Fett Birger. Finally, respected Belgrade techno DJ Tijana T closes the release with a robust and evolving rework of 'A Different Size'.

STAUB comes back on wax for a third episode. Following the no name policy from the parties which started 5 years ago in ://about blank, it is time again for unknown artist to shine. This new EP sees the shy producer appearing on 4 tracks of pristine techno. A1 is an atmospheric trip while A2 is more brutal, on the B side it is going weirder and darker. We think Unknown Artist tries to craft interesting techno cuts and that he loves variety.

That it is the idea behind STAUB since its beginnings, it does not matter whether you are a newcomer or Lady Gaga, what matters is the quality of the music. This is what was again aimed with this third record.

This 4-tracker from Spanish Affkt might quite simply be his best
release to date. I have always admired his different and quirky
productions and as the followers will know we have released tracks with Affkt before.This time me and Marc (aka Affkt) went deep into A&R'ing the release to make sure all tracks reached their full potential. Tracks have been added and removed from the release over time. The tracks have been re-arranged, adjusted, revisited over a period of 9 months time (yes thats how much time we spent carefully putting this release together and making sure it was perfect). I am really proud of what Marc acomplished with this release on Noir Music. All 4 tracks work
really well in the clubs and they each have a very strong Affkt signature which I wont bother describing in detail by words but rather have you listen to these amazing Squared pieces.

With its seventh release, NEW YORK TRAX welcomes the revival of John Selway's 'Semblance Factor' alias. From his first electronic band Chaotic Sound Matrix, to his major contributions to the early productions of Deep Dish; from his first success in the techno world as part of the seminal New York duo Disintegrator to the most successful of his collaborations, Smith & Selway, and his deep and minimal techno label CSM; from the intelligent electro-funk of Synapse and Serotonin Records, the electro and synth-pop of Memory Boy to the wild improvisational eclecticism of the Rancho Relaxo Allstars, Selway has created one of the richest bodies of work in the world of electronic music.

M-Twelve is a new collaboration between Tortured and Electrix label owner, Billy Nasty and Nick Dunton of Surface Records, 65D Mavericks fame and more recently, Poverty is Violence label.
Taking their name, M-Twelve, from the iconic Fred Perry T-shirt, the pair decided to combine forces based on a love of techno and electro, their strong friendship and many late night conversations in the back rooms of various nightclubs. They started recording together last year and the 'Apocalypse in Paradise EP' is the first signs of their monthly meetings at what's been dubbed, 'Dunton Abbey Studios'.
The EP features their two original cuts of beautifully crafted emotional electro, the warm and glittering 'All The Things' and 'Time Spent' with it's deep narrative and tough machine groove. In addition, remixes of 'Time Spent' come from Sync 24 (Scand / Cultivated Electronics) who delivers an energetically fuelled reworking and Electro veterans, Transparent Sound with a stripped and stomping acidic version.
Billy and Nick have also just started work on remixes for tracks by London Modular Alliance and Mr Velcro Fastener, so expect to hear more of their M-Twelve work over the coming months.

A few weeks after the release of their critically acclaimed album 'Shadow People' produced by Anton Newcombe, French psychedelic band The Limiñanas invites two guest stars from the French electro scene to remix two of their songs: the legendary techno producer Laurent Garnier and the master of synthesizers Arnaud Rebotini

On August 8th 2016, These Hidden Hands will release 'Vicarious Memories', their second LP and follow up to their 2013 debut album which saw the successful collaboration of Alain Paul and Tommy Four Seven and the launch of their creative platform, Hidden Hundred.
After the experimental duo re-surfaced earlier this year with 'These Moments Dismantled', a single featuring Lucrecia Dalt, These Hidden Hands is now set to release the album's single, 'SZ31X71' which marks an exciting new chapter in the groups musical direction and will include a remix by revered Tri Angle artist, Roly Porter.
SZ31X71 will be released via Hidden Hundred, available as limited edition 180g red vinyl with hand screen printed covers and digital download.

Black Merlin has gone on to release on a number of labels from around the globe including World Unknown, Crimes of the Future, LN-CC, New Jersey, Common Thread, Island of the Gods and SORN. More Recently Black Merlin has debuted his first solo album on Indonesian label Island of the Gods which came about when George was asked to travel over to Indonesia to Record traditional Gamelan music and put together an album of his time over there from the Field Recordings he'd gathered which is now complete. Commencing Ovum's 20th birthday celebrations, Josh Wink digs into the vaults for a very special piece of the label's history, presenting three perfect reinterpretations of Wink's hyperkinetic acid techno classic 'Are You There'. Wink explains the history and concept behind the track: 'The original version was composed in 1994 - just after 'Higher States', 'I am ready' and 'Don't laugh' - and released in 1996, I can't believe it has been 20 years since it was written! I had a friend, in Cleveland Ohio, who knew I never answered my home phone. So, when he called my house, he believed I was there screening and listening to the calls on my answering machine. Hence, 'Are you there". Which was actually taken from my answering machine mini cassette, with his blessing. Ben Klock contacted us in regard to him using his own remix version for his fabric mix release. We gave him permission, as an exclusive to the mix, with the possibility for Ovum to release it at a later time. A while ago, we at Ovum were talking about releasing certain catalog legacy tracks for the 20 Years celebration, and 'Are You There' was one on the top of the list. We decided to release his remix on Ovum in 2014, which we're very happy about as we are big fans of Ben. There is also an ROD remix by Benny Rodrigues. Benny is a talented passionate producer who contacted me to ask to remix the original. It's nice to be able to release music close to 20 years old that people are still influenced by. We will be re-releasing both the original and remix versions as part of the 20 years of Ovum celebration.' - Josh Wink Ben Klock's remix retains the clattering amen breaks of the original, which sits over a cavernous sub-bass undertow. The ROD remix is dangerously stripped back, letting the vocal snippet take precedence against jacking handclaps and skittering hi-hats.

Rekids welcomes Madrid-based producer Regal to the label for the first time, with the long-awaited release of the Figure/Enemy Records affiliate's interpretations of Ghetto Kraviz.

With the original named by FACT Magazine as one of the top 100 tracks of the decade so far, Regal's 303 and Dub remixes have meanwhile been a recurring feature in the sets of DJs including Nina Kraviz, who fell in love with them immediately upon being sent them last year, leading to their eventual release on Matt Edwards's recently re-launched imprint.

The A-side sees the Involve Records boss turn in an jacking, acidic take, while on the flip, the Dub version heads in a more classic techno direction, replete with pounding kicks and cathedral-filling reverb. These are two killer remixes have been going down a storm!

Hypnotic lines and machine made sounds and noises are what to expect by Petter B on this 8th release on Bond. All four tracks were made during one weekend with a simplistic setup. Its straight forward techno with sparse arrangement, focusing on the experience of how a melody or a sound can come alive on a dancefloor when played right.
The label Bond is the brainchild of Swedish techno DJ and
producer Petter B. The concept of the label is music by DJs for DJs. The label focuses on releasing tracks that enable the DJ, rather than the producer, to be creative. It is based on that special bond which is created every time a DJ combines tracks, loops and sounds live into something new and unique.

Madeira-born Robert S makes his Konstruktiv debut after appearances on Sleaze, Arts, Planet Rhythm and his own Robert Limited imprint.

Moderna is straight shooting techno, hard-hitting with hints of rolling funk and a bleak contrast to the sun-drenched Portuguese setting that saw its inception.

The synth stabs of EP opener Moderna steadily rise and open up, driving the track forward while low-slung drums keep the beat in check. Label-boss Rekord 61 drops in on A2 with his remix of the title-track. The original stabs take an aerial backseat and a compact beat powers through vapor and wear.

Trilha Acida sets things straight from the first second on the flip. A threatening acid line pummels the listener with mechanical consistency while a startling chord rehearses a monosyllabic monologue. Black Jocker, the fourth and final cut closes on a dystopian note, with austere drums and a dark souvenir triggering arpeggiator.

The latest SM release presents two Spanish artists, three are the tracks for ethical Error, composed of new order sounds, tight and industrial synths, with bassline that bring the dancefloor back into a disturbing atmosphere.

For the next release on EPMmusic, Bryan Zentz reprises his Stare5 moniker on the new four-track, 'Void Swimmer EP'.

Bryan Zentz is a music fanatic, producer, DJ and artist living in the Pacific Northwest of the US. He has been making electronic music for over two decades, releasing on labels like Minus, Plus 8, Soma, EXperimental, Definitive, Jericho, Intec, CMYK Musik, Thoughtless and many more. Recently he's remixed Patrick Zigon's 'Absurdistan' (Biotop Records) and is working on a full-length album for Zigon's Traumraum label due later this year. As a DJ and live performer, his sets have taken him across the world to legendary venues like Twilo (NYC), Fabric (London), Womb (Tokyo) and The Rex (Paris), as well as festivals like I Love Techno and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.

His Stare5 handle began as a tribute to a friend and graffiti artist who unfortunately passed away (Stare was his preferred tag and 5 was his favourite number). The pseudonym also became Zentz's screen name in the mid-90s internet chat room era where he met, amongst others, Felix Da Housecat and ended up releasing two EPs as Stare5 on Felix's Clashbackk label. Both releases focused on a tougher, stripped down, Detroit-influenced sound, reminiscent of early Axis, M-Plant and Purpose Maker releases, as well as being influenced by a synth he was using at the time - the Roland Alpha Juno 1 and its chord memory function. A few other Stare5 releases have popped up over the years with different sounds on different labels (CMYK Musik, Circle, Thoughtless), but as Bryan states 'it seemed fitting to bring this moniker back home to a very Detroit-influenced sound once again. That era of music is something that has always influenced me and I have always returned to as a fan.'

This becomes immediately apparent on the 'Void Swimmer EP' opener, 'The Adverse Within' that displays some deep Detroit bones, before the tough workout, 'We Will Not'. Title track 'Void Swimmer' is next, laying down some dark and intense rumblings before the grooving 'Velonaut' closes this stellar EP.

Up first is the pumping Green Base from Beroshima. Its a big ten minute monster with scuzzy synth lines, marching drums and prickly percussion that will sweep up any dancefloor and carry it off into the night. His second cut Mad World is just as big and bold, but is slightly more cosmic thanks to the spiritual pads in the background that add a trance including and heavenly feel to the slick, fast paced grooves.Then it is M.R.E.U.X. who goes for a much more deep and elastic roller on Concept Bass. It has snaking basslines that are warm and rubbery, icy hi hats and sci-fi synth droplets that really take you to another galaxy. Last but not least, Voltage Control is a white knuckle ride through physical drums and chattery percussion as fat synths and drilling machine sounds all burrow deep.This is high impact, freaky techno that cannot fail to standout on the dancefloor.

Boyd Goosman is back again to delivers an atmospheric, deep and emotive EP, based around a sparse palette of deep synth, warm bass and whispering vocals. The understated beauty of this record will touch every 'emotive techno' lovers ! The Bristol native Kamikaze Space Programme (Mote Evolver, Killekill...) deliver here a fantastic Dub Techno remix in a Massive Attack / Bristol / Future sound of London style. "Real name Takeshi Fukushima, Takecha has been a key figure within Japan's electronic music scene for decades and belongs to the same pioneering crew as Soichi Terada and Shinichiro Yokota. Now in his mid- fifties, 'Deep Soundscapes' is an album encompassing Fukushima's sound with every track written by the producer between 1990 and 2013. Intricate percussion and crystalline chords set the tone in 'Deep Drive' before a funky bassline joins serene synths in 'Midnight Things'. Appearing in Soichi Terada's mix for Resident Advisor (under its promo title 'Deep Loop C'), 'Gradual Atmosphere' is comprised of a galloping beat and saccharine chimes, 'Factory 141' sees Takecha demonstrate a murkier aesthetic, whilst 'Rhodes Detox' is a definitive example of Takecha's flair for expertly balancing elements within his productions. An homage to Shufflepuck Cafe´, an old Mac Plus video game Takecha would play on a black and white 9- inch monitor back in the day, 'Shufflepuck' blends ghostly melodies with clicks, whirrs and pops. 'Calm Imagination' is a poignant affair from start to finish with its hypnotising atmosphere, contrasting to the more up-tempo 'Warm Rondo' with its soulful keys and purring low-end. Tying it all together, 'Genuine Innocence' is a cut that Takecha made two versions of; one with a solo from a pianist and another with more emphasis on the beat, the latter of which appears on this album."

Jelly Bean Farm is marking its one-year anniversary with a special 4-track 12' release by Truska featuring a remix by Hodge. This is the London based producer's long-awaited EP after releasing on past Infinite Machine & JBF compilations. Lucky for us he has been honing his jagged and emotive take on bass & techno music and created a debut that is a pleasant diversion from structural norms. Bristolian heavyweight Hodge swoops in for the finale, reworking Lucid' into a dark and ominous techno-stomper. In all, a proper occasion to press our first record -enjoy!

Teja is publishing for its second anniversary two 4-tracker eps with various teja artists. The first is called "Quattro Stagoni " and features an headliner, two lable C.E.Os and a newcomer for the perfect balance. In the beginning we have the Berlin Artist "Patrick Arbez " with the track "Not Welcome" with the arbez specific distinctive dark techno, that let no leg unmoved. Format V.A. will be released on two separate vinyl releases, followed by a digital release featuring all nine tracks. The first 200 vinyl releases will be made available in transparent vinyl. The release features artwork by DEFRAME, and is based on the refraction of light. It is meant to represent the illusion of a tiny hypnotic multiverse, where each plane exists in a different time and space.

MOC's Alek S returns to the mothership with his third full EP, dropping just in time for the label's third birthday.
Kicking off the release in style, - Consciousness Outline' lays down the groundwork for a solid slice of punchy techno. Featuring a minimal array of elements, which aptly intertwine instead of seeing new layers pile up, it's a gradual build up of a powerful groove.
Hypercolour & Soma Records alum Roberto Clementi takes on remix duties, revamping - Consciousness Outline' into a cavernous techno affair. Switching the main focus on the percussive leads proves a good venture, as it results into a piece with major dance appeal.

Since 2014 Beneath's Mistry label has been an outlet for new talent showcasing debut releases from Laksa, Gaunt and Kailin, alongside unique records from fledging artists such as Batu & Chevel. Dekmantel regular Matrixxman returns with the third, and final instalment in the Sector series, Part III: Polyphony. In this triptych, the producer from San Fransisco sets out to highlight the key components behind the sounds and style of techno, exploring the range within the confines of a particular limitation. Following Parts I and II, which looked at Rhythm, and Acid, Charles McCloud Duff charters the realm of Polyphony with four, meticulously produced techno tracks, expanding his repertoire of cult, dancefloor music.Polyphony refers to the simultaneous combining of many notes in a musical sequence. In electronic music, this specifically refers to the role of the synthesiser - such as the Minimoog, ARP Odyssey, which can produce different pitches simultaneously. Polyphony has been an integral characteristic of the genre's sound for over a quarter of a century, and can be heard in many key records, living a the sonic forefront of these four tracks. 'Sector Series: III Polyphony' provides an exercise in melody and polyphony. Throughout the EP, swaggering rhythms are inter-washed with a sea of multi-melodious, reverberated notation. 'Initiation' resonates with the grandiosity, and harsh claustrophobia of early Underground Resistance. 'Access Granted', drives hard with pulsing effects, with a dystopic, rhythmic cacophony of euphony. 'Desert Planet' plays around with a differing tempo, imagining a more fantastical vision of music, echoing back to earlier Plastikman productions, using a vast sonic spectrum to conjure up a colour palette of alien imagery. 'Horizon' rounds things off; a track that builds on minimalism with a progressive composition, allowing the polyphonics to drive the track, harnessing the adept production qualities that Matrixxman has come to be recognised for.

The new release by POLY SONE on FRIENDSHIP & DECADENCE is an introspective trip with a bouncy, dubby flair that sets the scene with gritty synths and spacey arpeggios reminiscent of sci-fi soundtracks from the 80's and continues by avoiding the ordinary with some light Trance and a tinge of Acid. Get ready for this out-of-body experience and exit flesh!

Italian label Spazio Disponibile continues its fine run of form with a new EP that features four collaborative tracks by the bosses Voices From The Lake (aka Donato Dozzy and Neel) versus Semantica boss Svreca. The EP is a result of their first studio session all together in Rome. All three have been perfecting cinematic ambient techno for years now and have the cerebral, atmospheric aesthetic down to a tee. Here they offer up proof across a series of hypnotic tracks that take you deep into your own mind. It's alien and abstract yet wholly consuming and will zone you out in no time.

Trikk's follow-up on the Innervisions imprint is an evidence for his deeply anchored exploration of combining the mystical modern and traditional percussive to create new visions of House.

Medellín based bastard Verraco, strikes back with three eclectic and murderer cuts. Brutal electro and techno poisoned with synthwave jabs to hijack putrid dancefloors.

Ant Orange's third 12 for Karaoke Kalk forms something resembling a trilogy for the label. Right There' is built on a familiar Rhodes-n-bass aesthetic, combining the lo-fi jazz of 2017's Arkupe' with the soulful vocal motifs of 2015's s/t', while introducing more electronic ingredients and taking an increasingly exploratory approach to rhythm and composition.
The opening title track clocks in at over 8 minutes, growing slowly from soft tickled keys to a full-bodied groove circled by airy synths and fragmented RnB vocals. Drunk In The Trunk' then shifts down a gear, looping another vocal cut over a lazy, stripped-back wahwah vibe. Side A closes with experimental jazz skit Let That Sink In', its jerky tempo and flashes of light reminiscent of a late-night subway ride.
The B-side takes a more contemplative tone, with the meditative arpeggios and sparse drums of Comfort Zone' leading into the dusky West Coast stroll of Muscle Beach', before Rudis Goes Offline' picks up the tempo for a last shimmering dance. The closing track A Frozen Lake' sounds just like it sounds - chilled by name and by nature.
The completion of this trilogy marks a turning point in Ant Orange's sound, but that's all we can say for now - stay tuned for more. In the mean time just sit back and enjoy the sublime vibes of Right There.

Berlin's party series and the eponymous vinyl label celebrate the launch of its sublabel ASTRAY with the 'Road Force EP' by Discrete Circuit. While AWAY with previous contributions from Joe Claussell, Mr. Ties, and Move D leans more to the housier side of things, ASTRAY will take a different path by taking some darker, techno-centered steps. Following the idea only to release productions by both label founders, Discrete Circuit and H4L, as well as unique collaborations which either of them will form with outside artists, ASTRAY's second EP will premiere the joint studio work of Discrete Circuit and DJ/producer Blind Observatory. On the A-side he's evolving his floor-aimed capabilities in two different ways: Starting with subtly quoting the infamous Motor City, the title track's on-edge techno design quickly accumulates into some kind of hounding; not knowing if you're the hunted or the hunter. 'Stress Resultant' increases the pace, whereby the restless vibe is contrasted by melodic synth patterns embodying a sort of playful corrective. The flip side introduces Discrete Circuit's experimental facet: 'Controlled Error' exhibits the dialogue between harmony and chaos in which shrieking, yet claustrophobic shades play hide-and-seek ultimately unfolding a gloomy funk, while the EP's last 'Circuitry' is completely carried by shape-shifting, pulsing soundscapes.

Jumpmono Records is back with the next instalment of vinyl/digital mayhem! This time we welcome the super talented Italian Techno brothers, Mr. Bizz, with their superb single 'Crescendo'.
Mr. Bizz have been making some serious noise across the Techno scene over the past few years with their releases landing on labels including, Cocoon, Sci+Tec, Octopus, Suara and many more... so it was inevitable that we would invite them to release on Jumpmono.
First up on remix duty is Techno legend, Koen Groeneveld, who provides a powerful peak time monster.
The second remix comes from none other than Alex Di Stefano, with his amazing, harder Techno sound.
The third remix is a huge Techno slammer and comes from Holland's incredibly talented, Steve Mulder.

Guede Remixes is a remix compilation of DJ Hell taken from his 5th studio album Zukunftsmusik. The release features two remixes by Joyce Muniz and one by Paul Nazca. Guede's soundscape is acidic yet minimal, with its distorted vocals and raucous instrumentation lending the track an eerie and at times ethereal vibe. Each artist brings a uniquely different perspective on the sound of the original cut, whilst never completely abandoning the track's core identity. Paul Nazca infuses it with trance, Joyce Muniz keeps the acid and adds the deep.

A crack team of Steel City savants combines forces to forge four tremendous cuts of tweaked-out, wormole-jumping electro to soundtrack your time-travel commute. The A-side showcases fresh producers from Pittsburgh's bustling underground. Naeem (from the Detour promotion crew and label) and the enigmatic duo, HIts Only, contribute equally ripping tracks that showcase their unique take on Bleep-Zap electro. The B-side is reserved for the revered machine-fun specialist himself, Shawn Rudiman. 'Direlect' (originally released on Pittsburgh's Hypervinyl Records in 1999) is given another lease on life in the B1 spot while 'Asimolar' rounds out the release.

Seven sisters hail from Bristol under the supervision of label boss Miotek and this time they return with VA containing a stunning collection of tracks. Seven Sisters is a label with strong roots in Baltic with the label initially based in Ogre, Latvia whilst recently moving to Bristol. The EP consists of tracks produced by Latvian artists only, and that's no coincidence as the label choose these artists to shine a light upon the talent coming out of the country.

The opening track 'Days of Saturn' is produced by Cosmic Monkey , a producer who shifts between techno, electro and ambient effortlessly. Here we see Cosmic Monkey paint a wonderfully dystopian scene, with the bubbling acid bassline forcing the groove forward out of its dream like background.

Next Label boss Miotek steps to the plate with You Let the things go wrong' instantly you can start to hear Miotek's Chicago influences come through as a wonderfully trippy machine based jam explores the groove, briefly punctuated by a beautifully harmonically distorted, beat less swell of electronic goodness.
Doctor Gee is 3rd up on the vinyl and he drops 'Ur Here' this time he's teamed up with Wrth & Salmz to deliver an Electro romper. His trademark funk is again stamped all over this, but 'Ur Here' follows a more traditional electro jam with beautifully played synth solos and of course vocoded computer machine' vocal.

4th track on the VA is a doctor Gee remix 'Jurai' by a one man synth project from Lativa called Starpliktuve. An broken beat acid banger that's sure to get people poppin and locking. The vocal and creeping pads cloak the track is an intense veil that it works in and out of.

Closing the record is Doctor Gee & Salmz's track 2009. A wonderfully glitched out affair with one of the funkiest god dam leads we ever did hear. Fantastic programming skills are on display here with the producers being able to lead and guide the erratic nature of the lead with passion and precision.

As a taste of the talent coming out of Latvia this is one serious EP.

Excise is thrilled to host San Francisco underground xture Max Gardner on the label's 3rd vinyl release. Max runs the legendary Californian party crew Direct to Earth and he's equally a hypnotic DJ selector and highly skilled synthesist. As you'll see on this release Max's tracks are not only excellent DJ tools but also deeply interesting for close-listening: truly unique electronic music dif culty to pigeonhole into a genre. New York-based trio n/um returns with the second entry to their self-titled artist label.

DualExercise_l is elaborated on the premise of collaboration and reinterpretation, it presents the original work of two artists along its respective recompositions.
As a musical release produced by Manchester's Daniel Ruane & oqko co-founder smog, DualExercise_l opens up with side A comprehended of two the original compositions which go through reinterpretation on the flip side. Taking the concept of entropic degradation for focus, with harsh textural depth, twisted mechanistic noise and glimmers of breaks, bass and broken techno providing the sonic backdrop, Ruane and smog serve out their singular visions of pandemonium across four slabs of high octane compositions.

The Olympos series continues its exploration of godly themes and adventurous techno with a third instalment, this time calling on Demetra, the goddess of the harvest and agriculture. There's a consistently deep tone to all four of the tracks on offer here, employing swooping pads and undulating bleep lines to conjure up a warm, early 90s feel that would sound right at home on an early B12 single. "Pump It" is especially deep, using the barest of ingredients to take you on a dreamy, machine-powered trip.

After unanimous praise for Talker's "Battle Standards" and play from the likes of Ancient Methods, Headless Horseman, Sunil Sharpe, Mumdance, Shifted and many others, Standards & Practices returns with a powerful set of remixes from iconic UK techno artists Surgeon, Regis, and Broken English Club.

Anthony Child kicks off the proceedings with his first remix in a year, and it's one of his best to date. His version of "Battle Standard" takes the track in a radically different direction, building a hair-raising wall of sound culminating in an unforgettable melodic refrain-beautiful and brutal in classic Surgeon fashion. The A2 track is a special bonus: a Talker cut only previously available on a limited edition CD compilation. Entitled "My Favorite Color Is Gold", this is a dark and cinematic ambient take on "(Gold) Standard".

On the flip, Oliver Ho delivers a remix of DJ favorite "Snub Nose" under his Broken English Club alias. His overhaul is nothing short of remarkable - only retaining a segment of the original drum track, he adds a post-punk-esque vocal while a vicious, monotone bassline snarls underneath, sounding like it slithered off of a Big Black LP sometime around 1985. Regis closes the EP with his brilliant broken-beat take on "Battle Standard", stripping the original to its essentials for maximum dancefloor impact.

As with the label's previous EPs from Stave and Talker, this package features stunning full-color sleeve art from acclaimed graphic design studio Common Name, and a limited number are pressed on silver colored vinyl.

After the acclaim of Time Traveler's I'm Made of Stars' LP last year, followed by two successful EPs on his Chronicles Diary imprint, Michele Pinna brings his Time Traveler moniker back with 'Remix report II + Chapter IX' EP featuring powerful remixes by three key names in European and US techno.

The EP opens with the veteran visionary Dave Clarke who delivers a complex industrial version of 'Interstellar' made of deeply distorted tones and punk influences. Detroit Techno Militia take over with their reinterpretation of 'B-29' where a groovy and energetic atmosphere is set from the start, adding a vigorous touch to the track. Brian Sanhaji's raw techno roots are showcased in 'Alpha', with pulsing and dense beats yet precise cuts, turning the track into serious dancefloor material. Time Traveler is closing up the EP with hammering beats and distorted riffs and three menacing tracks in line with his dystopian sci-fi vision.

Presence Unknown is a new vinyl and digital label curated by longtime producer and DJ, Neil Keating aka Controlled Weirdness. Neil has been behind the decks and deeply involved in all aspects of club and underground sound system culture since the early Eighties. He has released his music on numerous underground labels and performed all over the world, from plush clubs to dirty warehouses.

The first release on Presence Unknown contains two mutant machine funk excursions from Controlled Weirdness crafted using a variety of analogue and digital hardware in his South London studio.

Crackshot wiry techno from Stockholm's Simon Haydo, putting his trusted Korg MS-20 thru its paces for Peder Mannerfelt Produktion after showcasing the semi-modular synth's myriad permutations on Avian, Hivern Discs and Studio Barnhus in recent years.
Working shades away from Mannerfelt's less-is-more style, Haydo becomes the latest in a line of producers stretching from Suicide thru Fad Gadget and Powell to fetishise and utilise Korg's classic, tactile little box for everything from kick drums to melodies and anything between.
However, The Illusion of an Alternative Choice would simply be an academic exercise in asceticism if it weren't for the remarkable diversity of sounds Haydo generates from his chosen bit of kit. Like Lorenzo Senni with his Roland JP-8080, or Mark Fell with the Yamaha DX7, Haydo reveals a wealth of variation from the Korg MS-20, revelling in its textured gradients and tweaky integers between the pulsating, viscous morph and off-kilter dissonance of Let Know to the search & destroy 'ardcore mentasm-style licks of Not For You, thru the dry, blocky roller The Go!, to the sharp-cut jakbeat of Parade Of Unhappy and unstable cosmic fuss of Out.
In effect, by proving you can create a whole record with lots of variation, but only using one synth, Haydo also cocks a cool snook at those n00b producers with expensive banks of kit who produce the most prosaic, tepid and gridlocked house - basically proving that it's not what you've got, but
how you use it.

Darko Esser's Wolfskuil Limited kicks off 2018 with 'Sugarlump EP' by the Czech artist HRTL. Known for his 100% improvised hardware live sets and cassette releases on his own Bukko Tapes label, 'Sugarlump EP' showcases HRTL's solid producer skills, flawless taste and and an obvious passion for classic Detroit House sound.The title track 'Sugarlump' opens the EP with moody pads, evolving in dynamic rhythms progression and deep atmospheres. 'Someone Stole Your Sweetroll' follows with low resonating bass drums and beautiful melancholic strings followed by 'Dental Trauma' that intensifies this flow with a more pronounced acidic sound. 'LOD' develops slowly with uplifting break beats overflew by celestial arpeggios, ending the journey with a charming touch.

Cassius Select returns to Accidental Jnr with another 12' to follow on from last years '90 / HERD' EP. He once again straddles the genres somewhere between techno, bassline and hardcore. ESSENCE is a huge rave cut of broken snare beats and shuffled kicks alongside Select's trademark idiosyncratic vocal snippets. The B-side offers up SHAOLIN SOCCER a post-dubstep wobble at a house tempo followed by HYPE HOUR another piece of broken suedo rave hardcore.

The EP is something of a gift to his brothers for their musical influence on him as the Australian based producer explains in his own words:

Much of my musical upbringing is related to my family, I owe my early influences to my two older brothers. skimming off their mix CDs, sculpting out what 'cool' meant. the eldest is a drummer and in retrospect, i think a lot of the Cassius project is maybe an attempt to impress him again. shaolin soccer is in reference to the 90s blockbuster of the same name, where we derived a lot of our own interpersonal humour. i keep going back to that world we built between the 3 of us. in the simplest way this is a gift to the both of them.'

Versalife returns to the Clone West Coast Series for more under sea level electro-techno. After his debut 12inch series Night Time Activities, here a full length album inspired by the horizons and emptyness of his home lands in Friesland. Accompanied by beautiful artwork of fellow Frisian, and one of Hollands most talented painters, Robert Zandvliet (who happens to have his atelier around the corner of the Clone Hq). His amazing painting ''Winter by Jouswier'' (spread among the front and backside of the gatefold sleeve) symbolizes perfectly the rhythm of the open spaces in Friesland. Especialy in the whitened more abstract and cold winter landscape thats almost synonym for Versalife's abstract ice cold electro techno. First full artwork/coloured vinyl edition is limited to 500 copies! Dont sleep on this one.

After five various releases, Vakum returns with their first full EP including their first ever remix. 'Silom' EP is a diverse story signed by Disrupted Project, an artist they had the chance to present on their very first VAKUM back in 2014. Now he's back with full EP which is rounded with a remix from Toronto's finest - Basic Soul Unit. The tracks are ranging from detroit influenced electro and chordy big room techno to breakbeat rave like drums and melodies.

A collection of quality remixes derived from Hans Bouffmyhre's excellent 2-part Insurgency EP, released earlier this year on Sleaze. It's a stellar package of top drawer techno. Featuring versions by Pfirter, Keith Carnal, Alex Bau and a rework by Hans himself. This is a big one!

Behind the SSTROM moniker hides one half of SHXCXCHCXSH and a long-time activist of Sweden's experimental techno scene. Having fallen in love with simple melodies and catchy arpeggios when being a member of bitpop/synth band Slagsmalsklubben, he transferred these sensibilities further into his other projects. SSTROM's excellent 2016 debut for Semantica Records was an excellent exercise in lush aquatic techno with breezy and lush atmospheres. The new EP "Vitriol" is informed by the personal experience of the producer, which adds additional warmth and emotional weight to the record. The release brings back memories of earth pigments his father used when painting things in their house, the colours created were usually dark toned with some pastel lightness. This juxtaposition is felt throughout the record, which balances between cinematic futurist moods, steel-wool smoothness and subtle physicality due to its textured nature. The title track kicks-off with Detroitish synth loops wrapped in dense lo-fi soundscapes, while "Sienna" increases the tension by introducing more expansive melodic appeal intertwined with intensity of feather-like 4/4 rhythmics. "Umbra" brings some shadowy sonic undertones immersed into a sea of crackle with melodies constantly resurfacing. The closing "Ockra" bursts with more groovy patterns, yet retaining the same elegant warmth, which seems to be the signature element of this EP. While listening to all these tracks you feel like touching some alien surfaces with utmost sensitiveness with surreal landscapes stretching out in your imagination. This is carefully crafted introvert music, yet having some elegant dancefloor appeal.
