After releasing their debut full length Album on Kompakt last year, Hunter/Game return to Just This with another immersive offering.
On the ‚Dead Soul EP' the duo continue to refine their expressive yet subtly arranged sound. The title track unfolds slowly, sculpting the melody, texture and suspense. Joey Anderson's take on 'Dead Soul' is airy and atmospheric without losing it's pulsing flow. ‚Isolation' covers a broad spectrum and is filled with contrasts in which an intense bass interacts with a delicate and breathy melody.
Balance is key to Hunter/Game's music and this EP is no exception.

American DJ & producer Eric Estornel AKA Maceo Plex is set to relaunch his old moniker called Mariel Ito in 2018. The mysterious alias was active during the early 2000's and flourished from Estornel's experimentation on electro sounds before he would become known worldwide as Maceo Plex. He delivered a bunch of releases under this moniker during 2005 and 2006 including an EP on Modern Love and an album on SCSI-AV, to name a few.
Estornel will come back with a first Mariel Ito EP in 12 years. This new single titled '2e Komst' will land on January 26th on his fresh imprint Lone Romantic, that he launched with the recent Maceo Plex LP 'Solar' last summer. The EP brings two new tracks 'Sintex49' and 'Dmode90' that illustrates the electro edge of his sound with the recognizable obscure synths and electrifying samples of his productions.

Welcome to the long awaited 5th vinyl output of HueHelix. This time, we focus on Ryuji Takeuchi, who brings 4 versatile 'factors' to complete the 'Renaissance Artistique' EP. Factor A is no doubt the most straight techno style banger, which Ryuji himself has been dropping in a peaktime of his every set at gigs in Berlin, Rotterdam, Osaka and more, that always takes audience to another place. Factor B shows a strong influence from EBM, noise, industrial music, which can be a starter of a set, with mad and strong break before its peaktime. Factor C is for sure the strongest and hardest track in this EP, with high BPM with crazy acid synth melody. Factor D closes the EP with percussive and synthy aspects. This EP really indicates how Ryuji has evolved for his entire career and where he's heading to. Definitely the one not to miss. Please keep your eyes and ears open, HueHelix never stops.
The second release on Figure Jams continues to pursue our new concept of pairing certain artists together, this time placing the seasoned Swedish sound sculptor Patrik Skoog alongside Abstract Division, a collaborative project of Paul Boex and Dave Miller, two equally experienced Dutch producers. The latter deliver a pair of straight-forward tunes that seemingly stem from the depths of space. With an intimidating backdrop of menacing and rummaging drones they carefully create a constant sense of alarming tension that is never lifted. This abstract threat takes solid shape in Patrik Skoogs slamming 'The Field", a heavy hitter of immense magnitude that despite packing a bouncy punch still stays afloat thanks to its lightly dancing hats. Another agile alien grooves closes the EP, with rides zooming in and out, slingering and cutting through the track's subtly booming body.

We welcome Mister Adrian back to Pole Group after his release on Warm Up not so long ago. 1975 is his new sonic adventure: three versions of the track plus a remix by Reeko; four cuts on the digital version and three on the black plastic slices.
The vinyl starts with Reeko's version of '1975'. Liquid textures, opaque drums, filtered sequences, subtle high hats and grey and thick drones. Add the constantly moving arrangement and the result is a timeless piece of scientific techno.
Side B starts with version B of '1975', with all the elements present from the very beginning, DX 200 one bar FM sequences, moving percussions and tense strings.
Closing the vinyl is version C of '1975'. It has less elements and brighter drums, although it maintains the one bar hypnotic sequences and adds an excellent real string sample that crosses the stereo, grows and changes during the whole arrangement. Futuristic techno with an old school feeling.
The digital bonus is version A of '1975'. Stomping beat, heavy subbass experience, crazy synth sequences, darkness and punch.

We've encountered during one sunny Belgrade afternoon while he was chasing what he was calling fish (actually Slavic seniors transformed into dolphins and dolphin is not a fish). He might or might not told us the fore-coming story:
A man complains of being hungry. All the time. Dogs, it seems, are never hungry. So the man decides to become a dog. To be a dog, one must walk on all fours. The hero decides to wear shoes on his hands, only to discover that there is no hand left to tie the laces on the fourth shoe. What does a shoe-shod dog tie laces with Its mouth. Organ by organ, the man becomes a dog.'
One lace at a time, his record transformed us into a new type of misunderstood creatures. Most of the tracks are surprisingly fast and playable yet broken while others are groovy, however noisy. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard anything like it before. But what do I know, I'm a fish.

This is the Portuguese master's second round, after the success of his Blood EP on PoleGroup. This time Fautzi goes mental with three original tracks and an extra remix by Oscar Mulero.
"Unconsciousness" is an hypnotic piece of floating techno, based on heavy subsonic workout, high frequency drones, FM sequences and a steady arrangement. It is presented here in two different versions, both of them aimed directly to your mind.
Plus this two versions by the very artist, there is an Oscar Mulero remix cleaning the subbass spectrum, adding percussive elements and going in a different direction, more peak time oriented.
"Default" runs along similar parameters; breathing ambiences, slow-paced rhythms, cyclical synths and sharp percussions that preserve the mental state of its predecessor.
To close in style, Oscar Mulero gives "Default" a twist by putting the drones away, going straight to the percussive madness and spicing it up with a few liquid components.
Mind-induced mixing tools for the smart heads out there.

UK techno veteran Broom is one of the most consistent producers in the game and on Neon, he delivers four killer dance floor tracks. Inspired in equal parts by the swirling, dub techno of Chain Reaction and the insistent, loopy techno of mid to late-90s Jeff Mills, the release starts with the steel-plate percussion and churning chord builds of "M19". Broom keeps his focus on that approach for "Energy", where doubled-up claps and clanging chords create an eerie but urgent sensibility, while the title track is a slightly less visceral affair thanks to the inclusion of a sleepy vocal sample amid the churning keys.
Finally, "Involver" sees Broom focus his energies elsewhere, its acidic, grimy groove coming across like Steve Bicknell in a bad mood. Support from Ben Sims, James Ruskin, Edit Select, Truncate, Exos, Dustin Zahn, Alan Fitzpatrick, Skream..

Cocoon Recordings presents COR12146, the dignified follow-up 12 by Rico Puestel that we were waiting for so long. Cocoon head Sven Väth himself is dropping 'Caravel' for quite some time already and the godfather of German techno smashes floors around the globe with this hot and dirty bombshell. Take all of the rocking techno ingredients that you loved so much over the last decade and you get a melt down of Dustin Zahn, Industrial Strength Soundhack and many more milestones to name... however Puestel created a very unique own style out of all these influences and the result is simply outstanding. Sven played the acetate of this so often that we even had to cut a second one. Techno-trainspotter worldwide went mad for this one and were killing us with their requests and track-ID inquiries. The wait is over guys! 'Caravel' and 'Est' (on the flipside) are two cutting edge techno monsters that hold enough energy to power your car, your computer, your phone, your life...we cannot imagine what Rico will show us next ;)

Presenting the latest release from Inmotion Music as the NYC based imprint welcomes fellow city dwelling deviant ELON to the helm. Representing the long lineage of quality underground artists to come out of the city, ELON offers some deep and straight up techno that comes straight from the heart and aims solely for the feet...
ELON is certainly no stranger to the dance-floor, as his previous releases on Metroline, Made to Play and his own ReSolute label whole heartedly prove. Thick sonic attributes, mining basslines and hypnotic drums characterise the essence of this industrial leaning EP - a perfect fit, then, for this fresh label.
The EP kicks off with the almighty thud of Azone, which comes equipped with two strong remixes from already anointed label affiliate Marco Faraone and the much saught after skills of Marco Zenker. The original version's mix of heavy instruments and deep aesthetics makes it a stand out track of the moment, evoking memories of Octave One's groove and rhythm, not to mention it's raw, untreated analogue feel. Lots of oscillating basslines and perky percussive elements, all of which are stripped back on Faraone's interpretation, stripping apart the major chord buzz into a hollow, lurking track that builds at a menacing pace before unleashing full acid stabs and blasts.
Munich's Marco Zenker brings a bleaker tapestry, with the first minute of the track building in atmosphere and melody.., before bringing the beats through a hazy veil of shrouded mystery and muted mastering.
The EP is then bolstered by two more original ELON productions, both showing the Brooklyn based DJ's production prowess in abundance, Ten - with it's jittery rhythm, electro boogie overtones and acidic hypnotic rhythm - stands as warehouse techno at it's finest, most futuristic style.

Returning to MOTOR for their highly anticipated second release is the inimitable IVVY, delivering a full six scorching tracks of bitcrushed fury and percussive demolition. This tape is packed end to end with strains of distantly post-apocalyptic dancefloors, including a crushing remix of one of IVVY's previous tracks from our own, Nathaniel Young aka Richard P. At once tensely claustrophobic and cathartic, rife with shrieking synthesis and splatters of grinding metal, there is a kinetic quality here that drags you in and thrums in your chest, battering at the gates of propriety and passivity with a steely fist. Yet another outstanding contribution to the MOTOR back catalogue from the wonderful Madi Levine.

A Hidden Recordings mainstay, JC Laurent's once again combines his admiration and respect for Detroit's gritty past with a modern touch that makes his techno / house sound all his own. Previously on the label, he released 'From Nice to Berlin' with a remix from the legendary Fred P. AKA Black Jazz Consortium as well as 'Southside' with a remix from UK's Tom Dicicco (The Corner, Run Out Run). Handling important remix duties is Michigan native Myles Sergé. First introduced to techno in the late 80's and described as a 'Reclusive Perfectionist', his haunting productions reflect influences from early Detroit / Chicago electronic music.

The enigmatic label from Berlin, Schakal Recordings is back with its fifth release and young DJ Lorenz Lepus is next in line. The Lepus project has gone through many guises, finally Lorenz settled on making music as a solo artist under the Lorenz Lepus alias in 2014. While still studying at school Lorenz became a resident at Chalet's Tuesday sound Department parties, cutting his teeth in the cities clubs he has played in venues including Hoppetosse, Sisyphos, Arena and many more. This dedication to his music was not without some confusion, being aware of the melan- cholic minimal tendencies of his productions he has always been loathe to pin himself to a particular genre. What with the success of his career so far.. perhaps this isn't a bad thing.
'Feral Child' is made up of two original tracks and two remixes. The title track's melody swells until it breaks down into a pulsing and rolling rhythm. 'Lost' is more immediate in its dance-floor compatibly, maintaining the rolling style Lorenz imbues his take on deep house with an emotional poignancy rarely heard. Floyd Lavine steps up for the first remix on the EP, Floyd is a resident at the legendary RISE par- ties at Watergate, with one foot in Berlin and the other in his native Cape Town Floyd delivers a beauti- fully loopy and oddball twist on 'Feral Child' adding crunching static sounds. Providing a harder take on 'Feral Child', Italies VII Circle change the rolling melody into a slow techno heater.
This is electronic programme music; bookended in distinctive Tadeo style with a modal string section that places the record firmly in the avant-garde, The Pit guides us through the moods and associations of a classic science fiction narrative.Tadeo first released on Token in 2015 with the instant classic Terra Incognita, reminiscent of the kind of techno-futurism usually employed by some of the Detroit greats. If Terra Incognita was an interpretation of outer space, The Pit comes from deep in the ground. This is electronic programme music; bookended in distinctive Tadeo style with a modal string section that places the record firmly in the avant-garde, The Pit guides us through the moods and associations of a classic science fiction narrative.
The record is consistent in its instrumental palette, with a subdued but powerful low-end to set the pace, disorienting semitone meanderings and organic percussion in the mid, and massive, crashing hats that lift statement sections beyond comprehension.

Adam Arthur has long been the brains and brawn of the Tennessee Techno scene, coordinating parties and running a serious sound system. Now he steps out of the shadows to launch his own vinyl label, Danger Close, with three slices of risky Analogue Magick recorded at his HQ 90 miles west of Memphis. "Illusions" on the A side is a long spiraling snake charmer, designed to seduce a dance floor past the point of no return with lacerating acid. "Sounds Detroit," and "Void" on the B side invoke the spirit of those desiccated warehouses of the American Mid-West where Technology merged with Mysticism. Amen.

u don't come to find yourself at the helm of one of the most successful underground house and techno imprints without a keen eye for fresh talent, that which has the potential to be nurtured, moulded and pushed to the next level. Anja Schneider has worked hard to hone that skill over the years, fine-tuning her instinctive, risk-taking persona; as a result, she just knows when someone is worth investing in. With that said, she new has her new protégé Kevin Over locked firmly in her sights - and with good reason. But even so, for Over to find himself behind the wheel of one of mobilee's annual long-form releases, despite him barely being over a quarter of a century old (not to mention having only met its founder in person less than a year ago), is quite something. But then again, Anja Schneider isn't your usual A&R, and Kevin Over isn't your usual 'talent' - as if his recent stellar run of EPs on Truesoul, Nofitstate, Avotre and of course mobilee in the last year alone, didn't tell you already. Part compilation, and part album, Over was keen to emphasize how this was his first musically extensive project which followed a defined musical structure, and was consistent in its vibe and mood from beginning to end; 'I felt like I needed more of a defined direction at this point in my career, as many of my EPs had traversed a wide variety of styles. The whole process took around three months, drawing from my early influences in garage and Chicago house as well as older funk stuff. I definitely got lost down the Youtube rabbit hole whilst looking for things to sample! I'm also so proud of having some of my favorite artists such as Marquis Hawkes, Jacob Korn and Soulphiction on board for remixes as well.As a result, the package displays a remarkably well-rounded cohesion, despite many of the tracks being wildly disparate in a musical sense. They all contain that trademark Over sound that's hard to put your finger on, be it the piston-driven, jacking drums, the use of dirt and distortion as a textural tool, or the understated yet catchy melodies. The gloriously gravelly deep house of 'Vember' contrasts beautifully against the woozy, euphoria of 'Look At Me Sartre'. There's everything from disco-inflected bangers ('Pfeffi Care') to bittersweet, nostalgic house making an appearance ('Hillside Av.'), rounding off with his haunting take on Rodriguez Jr.'s 2012 anthem 'Satellite' As is tradition with the 'Back To Back' series, the full package will also be accompanied by a 'best of' mobilee tracks from the previous year, with tracks from Audiofly, Ray Opkara, Rodriguez Jr. amongst many others, and of course Anja Schneider herself. Kevin's series of original tracks and remixes will be available to buy as a 2 x 12' gatefold package. A tour is also scheduled to follow.

Osiris Music UK present 'e´migre´', the debut LP from label stalwart Killawatt. It signifies three years of stylistic evolution in his sound, from the earlier spaced out percussive dubstep into a sub-bass centred amalgamation of electronica, techno and UK aesthetics.
From Killawatt: 'There is no great story or overly pretentious concept behind this album. It's probably the most natural record I've written in so far in that it just sort of happened without really thinking about it. Most of the tracks on the LP were experiments in things like granular synthesis and weird sample processing that were never intended to become finished pieces, they were filling the space between everything I was trying to write, and all that music I was intentionally writing subsequently got scrapped! Though an unorthodox method of writing an album, it's turned out to be a fruitful, varied and very satisfying one.'
'e´migre´' will be released digitally, and as a double LP on orange and black marbled vinyl containing 8 of the 12 tracks from the record. A free download of the full record is also included with every physical copy.
Early support from Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Tommy Four Seven, Mosca, DJ Pete, Clouds, Eomac, Lakker, J.Tijn, Paul Mac, Mønic, Manni Dee.
Tommy Four Seven - Congrats with the album, fresh beats and trippy sonic adventures! big up!
Dark Sky - Thanks for sending your album over. Some really interesting stuff here!
Happa - Proper love your album. It's sonically wonderful, and as a whole piece... It's just fucking wicked!
DJ Pete - Very good album! Full support!
Eomac - It's a wicked album. As I expected from Killawatt!
Mosca - Thanks for these mate! Destination Unknown is a mad sideways one! Will be supporting.

Though quality techno is regularly associated with the colder climates of Berlin and Detroit, the recent developments happening on the Iberian Peninsula have been hard to ignore. One of the region's more interesting and consistent producers in this decade has been Maceo Plex, owner of the Ellum Audio label. Armed with an encyclopedic knowledge of signature club sounds, and with an ability to investigate 'darker' side of modern life (a tendency that can be heard especially well on past Plex-produced tracks like 'Conjure Balearia'), Plex has located the 'Goldilocks zone' between funk liberation and mechanical control. Mastering this balancing act is a skill that separates the best producers from the legions of also-rans: it shines through in his back catalog and is back in full force for his new 'Tesseract' EP on Ellum.
The A-side of the new single is an intriguing blend of urban soundscape and slow-burning, post-industrial drama. The sounds of downtown pedestrian chatter and street musicians (playing horns and steel drums, respectively) build up a feeling of heightened curiosity that makes the incoming rush of rhythmic sound all the more effective. Held in place by a creeping arpeggiated bassline and accented throughout with sonic reflections and subtle shifts in resonance, 'Tesseract' has all the suspense of a Cold War spy thriller and a sense of spine-tingling urgency that animates all the classics of electronic body music. This effect is completed by well-placed swells of lead synth, and by devious 'plot twists' like an unexpected sputtering breakdown occuring right after the track's tense groove has fully taken over the listener's headspace.
On the B-side ('5th Dimensional Groove'), Maceo and the UK duo Swayzak join forces and turn in an attention-grabbing track that deviates just slightly from the energy exhibited on the flipside. While preserving that urgent feeling of racing against time, this power trio strips things back to basics a little more, but without sacrificing innovation or unpredictability in the process. On '5th Dimensional Groove' a trembling lead synth figure snakes in between a pulse-quickening mix of low-end sequences and minimal but forceful pneumatic percussion, and the combined creative energies of Swayzak and Plex also direct themselves towards unexpected breakdowns / meltdowns (in this case, a splash of cold water combined with a reversal of the lead synth sounds).

On the first release for Mannella on his own imprint, the ice is broken by generous strings and subdued synths. Revisiting 'Space Candyman' with his distinctive stamp, Marieu blows up every emotion in a swirl of high spirited Techno. The B side displays all the intensity of this release, starting by the pure beat of the original mix.
Lucretio's Remix is a mighty vision of 'Letters from Mars' with a dogged bustle of reverberated drums and filtered chords.
Consider a tree for a moment: we just see and enjoy its beauty, but it must develop its roots under the ground to bloom all its beauty and grows up strong. In much the same way, JT SERIES sinks his particular sound in a ground covered music grove.
So, the fruits of our tree, are a collection of sounds thought out of the box. Mannella, that runs this Berlin based label, never stop explores the vast world ingrained in his machines. A sensorial Techno contaminated by the most varied influences.

The Death of Rave are gassed to present the 2nd vinyl release of roiling, computerised No Wave by
exciting pan-European duo, N.M.O. Under the mantra - As Strict As Possible - their 'Tropicalyptic
Excursions' combine militant snares and amorphous SuperCollider shapes in disciplined
dancefloor arrangements, p'raps best compared with a melted hybrid of Powell's cranky engines
and EVOL's mutant rave signals dosed with Low Jack swagger.
They're dead strange, semi-organic dance creatures, stripped to the bare essentials of shifty
rhythm and biting tone, bristling with a concentrated energy that belies their hypnotic, body-
scattering effect on the 'floor.
Without resorting to overly masculine tactics or conventional structures, they carve a path from
kinky, pendulous percussion and grinding globular bass squelch laced with computer gremlins in
the title track, to the bashy, percolated jag of 'Talkingabouttalking' with its metal-tearing build-up,
and over to the whooping industrial bounce of 'Zaragoza Variations', cut loud and clattering for the
B-side by Matt The Alchemist' Colton.
Like the duo's striking 'Nederlandse Maatschappij Ontwikkeling' 12' and 'Dominant Akkord'
cassette for Barcelona's Anòmia label, this 12' is a refreshing inversion and diversion of dancefloor
strictures - getting down with a wickedly raw, awkward and freaky rave flex. If you ever get
the chance, make sure to check their aerobic live shows for a radical take on contemporary live
electronic performance.

Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold are very glad to welcome back Ninetoes on Kling Klong Records where he kickstarted his world conquest with 'Finder' in 2013. Meanwhile his catalogue also contains release and remixes on Saved, Snatch!, Noir, Toolroom etc.
Ninetoes also asked his mates Kevin Over and Ramon Tapia to demonstrate their remix skills and we all can't be happier about the result.

The boys from Nummer are back on their own Nummer Music imprint with a fresh new EP! Following a busy start of the year with 'To The D' and their first Nitejams 12", the duo offer three 808-heavy cuts and continue to blur the line between techno and their influences. From the acid-infused 'Street War Success' to the more electro 'Golden Age' and gloomy 'Downtown Breukelen', this is another vital release from the two Londoners!

The Smoke Clears is the abstract ambient project of producer John Daly (One Track/ Secret Sundaze). He debuted this alias with an eponymous LP in 2013 on Further Records and we're proud to present a part 2.Following up his 2013 LP of the same name, this record builds upon it's predecessor's ambient abstractions while adding another layer of nuanced melodic contemplation.Kicking off with "Fathoms" a deceptively calm track but with a paced sense of urgency which is evident throughout the LP, belying it's calm undertones. Continuing at this pace for the rest of the first side the LP takes a side turn with the lush "Slipstream" melting into the only vocal track of the LP - the dubbed out bliss of "Oh My Days" featuring Cian Finn. Showcasing a side that might not be familiar to those who come to the table with knowledge of the Galway producers house and techno releases on his own imprint One Track Records, Secret Sundaze, Running Back and more, this is lush downtempo machine music equally as at home cranked up one louder soundsystem style, or for late night home listening.

Utopus is Ion D's project that deals with tehno heresies, not-minimal and fragmented melancholy. Ion D is the ubiquitous main-character of Future Nuggets standing as a producer behind many entities like Steaua de Mare, Raze de Soare, Australopitecus Oltensis, co-producing Delusion Men and appearing under different cameos in both volumes "Sound of the Unheard from Romania". On P-Balans imprint Utopus will endevour with club-oriented laboratory work, keeping intact the "delics" of each genre compressed in the amalgan. Set yourselves up for some balanced grooves augmented by unfinished melodies, abstract dramaturgy and very serious tehnodelic motors.

Prolific Dutch artist Conforce is back on his most regular label, Delsin, with a fresh new four track EP. It is the second part to his North to South series that started on the label earlier in the year. Typically deep offerings that marry driving drums with wide open spaces full of smooth and serene atmospherics. Where bubbling underwater baselines and coarse claps making the more techno leaning grooves. Overall it's another majestic and elegant EP from one of the finest in the game.

Long-time London based friends and regular collaborators Ethyl & Flori have been foraying between the blurred lines of house and techno with releases on labels like secretsundaze, Aim and Fear of Flying for the last 6 years - and with a glowing reputation under their belt, 2015 saw the duo launch their own imprint E&F Records. This time however, their most recent venture is a release with London label Mutual Friend Recordings and combines the duo's talent with enigmatic label owners and Friends Of Ours London party curators Our Mutual Friend, their solo EP on Brooklyn's Voodoo Down Records earlier this year was tipped by such luminaries as Levon Vincent and DJ October. Ethyl & Flori open the package with otherworldy cut 'Lacewing', driven by a rolling bass and delicately sprinkled with ethereal chime hits and lingering piano melodies. Up next, Our Mutual Friend deliver a hypnotic, layered remix of 'Lacewing', instead laying the focus on down-tempo percussion and glitched samples. Our Mutual Friend open up the flip with 'Burnside' which lays down chattering bass hits shuffling alongside soothing melodic chimes, then Ethyl & Flori deliver a toughened remix of 'Burnside', injecting some of their relentless techno style by deepening the cut with murky synth notes and dark atmospherics.

Kling Klong founder Martin Eyerer has always been a big fan of collaborations and since their common releases on Get Physical and Leena worked that well it's definitely time to team up with Ackermann on his own label, too. Each specific track has it own unique character that brings an outstanding and electrifying aspect to the compilation that as a whole makes it something extremely special. MICK HARRIS (SCORN, QUOIT, PAINKILLER) returns after several years of hiatus with ten tracks of blasting landmine bass and interlocking shrapnel rhythms.I've been asked to write a press piece for the dark lord MICK HARRIS.Where does one even start Especially for someone with decades of releases over various solo projects, collaborations and pseudonyms, whether it's doing blast beats in the original NAPALM DEATH to crushing techno brutality as MONRELLA, or savage drum & bass as QUOIT. Then of course there's the mighty SCORN and his numerous collaborations with fellow luminaries such as JOHN ZORN and BILL LASWELL (in PAINKILLER).Rather than being tied to genres or scenes, MICK HARRIS is one of those producers who creates a whole sonic world uniquely of his own, in which varying tracks, styles and tempos take form, but yet in which everything sounds unmistakably characteristic of the creator. Needless to say his work has influenced legions of producers like SURGEON, REGIS, ONTAL, VATICAN SHADOW / PRURIENT, FAUSTEN, SHAPEDNOISE et al, and pretty much anyone in the world of powerfully dark, abrasive music you could name-drop. And yet after all this time, it is impressive that HARRIS still stands way above his successors and has never been surpassed in his own production/performance game. After a hiatus of several years, he is back with a new album under the guise of FRET.Working at a faster tempo than his SCORN material, the FRET project first surfaced years ago on the DOWNWARDS label, rooting it firmly in the dark, industrial and technoid world, and appeared more recently on Tresor (Kern mix by OBJEKT), maintaining the characteristic colossal bass-heaviness and textural depth. And now a full album on KARLRECORDS, Berlin. HARRIS fans will be delighted to know that despite the 130 bpm tempo, the newest FRET still resolutely avoids any straight four-on-the-floor kickdrums, every track lurches, stumbles, staggers and charges forth with beats in beautifully broken asymmetry. We get 10 tracks of crushing, percussive destroyers, each itself a storm of precision chaos, with colossal low-end frequencies that'll cause stampedes in the right circumstances. The classic HARRIS sound is there, searing waves of feedback distortion, intricate, interlocking rhythms and cold, abattoir atmospheres, especially track 6 "Stuck in the track at Salford Priors" which sounds like you're being continuously suspended in the air from multiple explosions all around, each kickdrum throwing you up in the air, the next one going off before you can fall completely back to the ground. The lazy-minded would probably lump it in with the term "techno", but the disciplined brutality, blasting landmine bass and interlocking shrapnel rhythms are clearly HARRIS' own trademark style, sitting somewhere between SCORN and QUOIT.The tracks appear deceptively chaotic on the surface, yet each is meticulously and masterfully composed with great attention to layering and detail. MICK HARRIS fans rejoice, the dark lord still remains at the top of his game.

After the Alma EP' by Shanti Celeste, secretsundaze' s 19th release comes from another UK home grown favourite Wbeeza.
Beeza is a firm part of the secretsundaze family and although it's his first release on the label, he has been a regular fixture at the parties now for 5 or 6 years playing at both the London events and touring internationally with Giles and James as a live act, as well touring extensively by himself.
We hope his music needs no introduction - his sound is quite simply fresh; an amalgamation of so many things from house, techno, jazz, hip hop to more UK leaning garage vibes. Born and bred in South London and the youngest of 6 brothers he has dance music pumping through his veins.
Black Moon EP is up there with the very best of his work and all 3 tracks show a level of maturity that comes from releasing over 14 EPs and close to 2 LPs (his second LP entitled Visions of Love drops next month on Third Ear)
Title track Black Moon is a murky, growling techno workout with syncopated lo fi beats, a thunderous bass line that is eq'd to within an inch of its life, and white noise FX. Within the right hands this should be a deadly weapon.
Like Butta is a hazy, percussive tool that keeps the tension high while B side track Ferguson is arguably the strongest track of the EP. Referencing the Ferguson case in Missouri that sparked vigorous debate about the relationship between the police and African Americans, the track is a timeless groove, coming on like a modern day version of Maurizio's 'M4' with its heads-down, hypnotic deep techno flow that one could simply listen to on repeat. Wbeeza on secretsundaze.....Need we say more!
The enchanting and notorious Satori unveils Imani's Dress, the first snippet of his forthcoming album due for release this Spring on the illustrious Crosstown Rebels, with Matthew Dear and Ewan Pearson providing hefty remixes.
Satori is no ordinary producer and live artist. Born to a Serbian father and South African mother, the man behind the instrument is a meditative music-lover on a deeply spiritual journey. Creating melodies on the piano, kora, kalimba, and guitar, his live shows are mind-altering.
Imani's Dress was the spark for the creation of Satori's debut album after Damian Lazarus heard it and requested to hear more from the visionary artist. Hungry and eager, Satori locked himself in a secluded studio and finished the album, and soon after it was signed to it's spiritual home, Crosstown Rebels.
DJ and production heavyweight Matthew Dear's remix is a skillful demon that illustrates why he is a pivotal artist in the electronic music arena. Ewan Pearson's remix is an ode to the guitar. Creating music for over two decades, here his warm riffs are infused with soothing synths and a meticulous groove.

A very Future Times sounding Future Times from Jeremy Hyman. Slighty odd, beautifully constructed and very friendly tracks that please us immensly. * Cold Recordings is very proud to include Berlin based producer PHON.O as part of it's growing roster by means of this immaculate EP. Across the 3 tracks, PHON.O demonstrates his ability to combine UK- bass influences with techno sensibilities, ultimately crafting cutting edge music for the dancefloor.
* 'CLU5T3R' opens the EP with a swinging 132bpm rhythm that sits somewhere in between classic UK-Funky and a cracking Shed/Heads High techno anthem. The repeating riff that circles and cycles, sweeps through the frequency spectrum, energising and purposeful. Versatile and effective, this is a track to come back to time and time again.
* Flip the plate and there's another couple of gems. 'V3R5U5' continues on from where 'CLU5T3R' left off, progressing the mood into a more ethereal space, building layers of pads and texture as the track developes, rising and ramping up, before pulling back and dropping into a rolling rhythm. Closing up the EP is 'H4NDCUFF3D', which takes the mood into a more dramatic backdrop. Chilling pads swell up from the ground like mist in a graveyard, while the broken rhythm sets pace, creating a moody ambiance for those moments when you want to take a dancefloor into mystical, other-worldly territories. Dramatic and energising!
Detroit techno veteran Terrence Dixon marks another chapter of his long standing career
signing for Italian imprint Out Electronic Recordings as Population One. After releasing three
EPs on Modularz, 30drop and his own outlet reduction in 2015 under the aformentioned
moniker, Terrence Dixon is going to kick off the new year with two techno, retro-feeling
original tracks capturing his typical production take.
'Temporary Insanity' rolls out the hard-driving, stomping old school side of the artist,
featuring sharp melodic sound scapes and incisive percussive elements. Fat claps and bright
hats animate the mood involving listeners through a simple, incisive rhythmic power
combined with a bass static arpeggio sequence and pointed bleep textures together.
'Multiple Choice' differs from the previous cut by featuring a spacey atmospheric, heady
synth lines and patterns, taking your mind to a more mysterious, introspective dimension
with enchanting pads plus a energetic kick, bass and drum intersection.

'Dispersion' is an EP deep in style, talent and wonder. Embellishing the underground kudos of Berlin-based techno DJ and producer AVION, owner of the hotly tipped, and renowned imprint Crossing, Dispersion is an eclectic mix of cerebral, uncompromising and colorful techno. Title track 'Dispersion' is a gleaming display of spacious dancefloor beats; melancholic, yet industrial. 'Real' is clinical, functional techno, emulating some of The Wizard's influential magic. 'Inverse' blends together a contemporary approach to sonic aptitudes, while remaining a strictly dancefloor and body orientated, while 'Enidan' a colorful moment of ambient beauty, plays the EP out.
It is the first release on Marcel Fengler's regarded, techno imprint IMF in 2017. 'Dispersion' is an ambitious, and unique EP, from a true underground -and mysterious - talent. The EP's style embodies the bright, hypnotic and pulsing music that has characterized his releases to date on Crossing. Talking about the release, Fengler states, 'He got my attention after some pretty strong releases on his own imprint Crossing. I felt that this was something I didn't have on my label, but still reflected the idea of IMF.
After 5 years of Exploration, it's time for the first album on the label. Johannes Volk proudly presents Mutual Codes, a conceptual album which contains 12 tracks between detroit infected techno and experimental classical compositions. Colourful synth adventures which take you on a journey to far away galaxies and beyond.
Following Dusky's ubiquitous 'Cold Heart' EP 17 Steps presents Kiwi's 'Marmora's Theme' EP - the London producer's debut on the label.
Having recently released on tastemaker labels such as Futureboogie, Correspondent and Optimo Music, Kiwi's distinctive sound is a physical mix of Italo disco, techno and electro influences.
Carried by a pulsating Italo bassline, lead track 'Marmora's Theme' is a cosmic epic that rides crisp piano melodies and sci-fi synths - and is already garnering support from Gerd Janson, DJ Tennis and Annie Mac.
Transporting the original's piano euphoria into darker, rave referencing territory, the Tuff City Kids remix calls on growling reese bass and '92 hardcore style pianos.
Offering some alternative vibes are the deeper, dirgy warehouse grind of 'OTH' and the beautiful, reflective electronica of 'Reservoir'.

Producer, DJ and visual artist, Dreams, has become a standout voice in the Los Angeles electronic landscape. The following he's amassed locally is due, in part, to his own imprint, Private Selection, who's focus so far has been split between releasing music and throwing events. An ethos that runs through both the his music and parties is indebted in part to house and techno, but also industrial, resulting in a mutated take on dance life forms that is becoming increasingly recognizable in his own records and DJ sets.
Dreams' first 12', 'Twisted Karma', came out in 2015 via Private Selection. Most recently, he released a record which saw light through Greek Imprint Nous Disques, and now, Apron Records.

As a recent emerging artist, Rommek has shown promising developments in his own sound, as well as carving his way into the current techno scene. His extensive interest in sound design is embedded within the atmospheric, dynamic and textured tracks he produces. His debut, 'Thought Patterns EP' on the London based label Weekend Circuit, established his position on the map. Since then, various releases have proven his wide appeal through the combination of the energetic, gritty UK sound coalesced with deep and transcendental aspects. E.D.C wishes to explore electronic music through different universes where spaces, noises and textures are central to the creative process. His researches aim to experiment and think outside the box, allowing us to navigate through purposely-colored music and other worlds where Every Detail Counts.
In this first release, the reverberations in each track create a shaking outcome that warns about the upcoming epic adventure with the wind of indestructibility that the tracks blow in our direction.
Endless is the key to understanding the whole release. Electric from the first second, it explains the journey we are about to embark on. Dark and almost gloomy from the beginning, the break gives the impression of a light breakthrough, as if the way suddenly clears.
The City of Clones takes us to a heavy atmosphere, as if we were waiting in the middle of a fog for the untying of the plot, though the denouement remains uncertain.
When Nobody Cares is an experimental journey through unexplored landscapes, with the discoveries marching under our eyes, which contribute to create an experience of fullness.
Too Many Ifs reminds and completes the cycle. Chaotic on purpose, it unveils the encounter of an intriguing living shape.
The Clarity EP signifies the return of Dutch techno heavyweight Jeroen Search to Dynamic Reflection. The result is a powerful four track EP, that clearly demonstrates Jeroen's unique and personal approach to contemporary techno; Skilfully build grooves fused together with funky stabs, form a unique, recognisable and inimitable "Search-blend". Shlomo takes a step away from his own Taapion Records to return to Delsin for his second full EP for the label. The Parisian producer serves up two of his modern techno jams, a lush ambient piece plus a slamming rework by Tommy Four Seven. Up first is In Absentia: Tome 2, a follow up track to his last EP on the label. It is another cold techno cut with turbulent drums down low and icy, slithering hi hats up top all backed by synths that light up the track from behind with a heavenly glow. Tbilisian Cure is a more abrasive affair with blistered synth lines and scurrying electronics running through the fast and brutal drums. Lali then flips the script and offers an ambient excursion with watery synths forming celestial puddles in the sky. It's a zoned out soundtrack that's the perfect comedown. Finishing off the EP, 47 label boss Tommy Four Seven flips this one into a weightless techno groove that rocks back and forth on the drums as sweeping chords leave you feeling suspended in mid air. Plenty of ground is covered in this one, and all with equally compelling results.

Twenty years after the Sonar Base 4 - 10 release on the legendary Dutch record label U-Trax, it is now time for an official high quality remastered vinyl re-issue on Deeptrax Records. The rare original was very hard to find and is considered as one of THE highlights of Dutch electro and techno. The Dutchman Frank de Groodt a.k.a Sonar Base is hitting hard with a perfect blend of 70 minutes of aquasonic electro, intergalactic boogie and deep techno. Frank started out on U-Trax records in 1994, and released as The Operator and Optic Crux on Djax-Up-Beats before his more recent releases as Fastgraph on Klakson. Russian producer Nocow debuts on Rekids with five murky tracks this December. Based in St. Petersburg, Nocow is undoubtedly one of Russian electronic music's
most remarkable protagonists having released on Clone, Figure, Fauxpas Musik, Gost Zvuk and Styrax. Recognised for maintaining consistency whilst traversing various sub-genres, Nocow is as comfortable producing intricate IDM and robust
techno as he is calm ambient and melancholic electronica.
In 'Soul Connection' a spoken word vocal mutters over metallic percussion and ominous stabs whilst a dense pad washes over everything. An undulating synth and ethereal effects make up 'Disappear' before moving onto syncopated drums
and shadowy atmospherics in 'Samaya Dolgaya Noch'. Next up, 'Stop' is comprised of mesmerising melodies, sturdy kicks and a looped vox until Nocow concludes the package with a short 2-step cut titled 'Aesthetic Mind'.
P.E.A.R.L. is no stranger to the Weekend Circuit inner circle. Having released his 'Desolation' EP on the London label in 2015, his unique and refreshing productions slot comfortably in to the label's sonic aesthetic. Pulsating, submerged field recordings and natural sounds bristle next to menacingly hewn tones, rhythms and textures, creating a strange and disorientating environment across 4 parts.
EP opener 'Body Arched I' encapsulates this alien-esque landscape, beckoning us into the P.E.A.R.L. sound-world. Slowly unwinding drones gradually draw us in, layers of almost synthetic jungle sounds, field recordings and eerie atmospherics create images of unseen landscapes in our minds. One gets the impression that is merely the calm before the storm, it will be a long, dark and revealing night. Second part 'Body Arched II' ups the ante considerably, a blistering assault on the senses. Cavernous kick-drums dance with repeated synth lines and synewaves creating a narcotic, unforgiving and swirling miasma of epic proportions.
'Body Arched III' opens the second side of this formidable slab of vinyl. The energy levels are still high, the mood somewhat foreboding. Unapologetic, urgent and oozing kinetic energy this 3rd movement continues on a journey that will sweep you deeper into the blackest night, all systems failed, flying blind. In the right hands a piece like this can wield colossal power. The fourth and final part of 'Body Arched' taps into a more psychedelic vein, a minimalistic mantra-esque piece that continually spirals to the very outer edges of restraint. Listen closely and you can hear the shamans feet kicking up dust in the clearing. A pensive and sparse piece and the perfect note on which P.E.A.R.L. will leave us bewildered.

What attracts us to Chilean-born artist Ricardo Tobar is the notion of intersection, and although fusion is nothing new, as a concept it will always pull our heartstrings. Applying influence is amateur, we see this over and over again as we endure trend-driven appropriation of cultures the world over, but the epiphany when an artist finds true synergy between heritage and influence is a pivotal moment that the inspired will seek, even though it may take the length of one's career to behold. As pretentious as that may sound, it is precisely the hybrid born from that place of intersection that
excites us at the ESP Institute, the 'A plus B that equals 3'. We hear this in Ricardo's music — the Latin American instinct in his drums and percussion, sometimes tightly aligned with body movements and other times hauntingly mis-aligned and chaotic, intersects with his rock influence of ethereal (micro) melodies that slowly layer and layer until we're climbing a glorious (macro) wall of sound — but most importantly we hear where these different parts of his life come together to further create one unique voice. On both sides of his ESP Institute debut Liturgia, Tobar couples one pulsing dance-driven track with another atmospheric and immersive track, requiring we educate ourselves in the polarity of this language he's building, one that will expand to tell a broader story later this year with his debut album. We welcome Ricardo Tobar, another forward-thinking artist, to the ESP Institute, and are proud to support any direction his compass points from here, as we believe he'll never follow but will always lead.
This album has its origins 17 yeas ago in early 2000, before Chain Reaction released the legendary Ship-Scope 12'. Three of the tracks here are taken from an acetate cut at Dubplates & Mastering at that time but which wouldn't see the light of day until now, including another batch of tracks taken from original masters. Only 5 copies of that acetate were ever made so this is the first time any of these tracks are available for public consumption and, for our money, rank among the finest and
most distinctive in either the Chain Reaction or Shinichi Atobe's vaults.
The material is effectively some of the Japanese producer's earliest work, showcasing the sort of tender, feminine pressure that would bubble up on the Ship-Scope EP and later be revealed in his new productions, Butterfly Effect and World yet, for many reasons, they would lay sunk in his archive for the next 17 years.
The tracks taken from that acetate are labelled First Plate 1-3 and really are quite remarkable, having taken on so much character and added weight over the years that the incidental crackle
of surface noise imbues proceedings with an added dimension that's hard to fathom. It basically sounds like a lost transmission making its way from Paul-Lincke-Ufer at the turn of the millennium
to a new, completely changed world all these years later.
The patina of crackle lends a mist-on-bare skin feeling akin to summer garden parties at Berghain in the stepping First Plate 1, and gives a foggier sort of depth perception to the hydraulic,
Maurizian heft of First Plate 2, but it's the submerged euphoria of First Plate 3 that hits the hardest; a heady, bittersweet reminder of days gone by.The other four tracks are crisply transferred from master tapes, relinquishing a sublime, impossible to categorise House variant that recalls everything from DJ Sprinkles to Ron Trent, yet with that weird, timeless production tick that by now has become something of a signature for this most distinctive and hard to categorise producer.

One year ago, Sodai burst onto the electronic soundscape with fearless River / Ghost from label boss Gardens of God. Renowned for delivering the highest quality with meticulously selected artists, the label has carved out a fresh sound and distinct style. To celebrate the first milestone, Gardens of God solidifies the integrity of the label with the profound Maple EP .
'These three tracks represent what I've been playing and enjoying since River / Ghost was released last year. No compromises, just for people to get lost in.' - Gardens of God
Subtle distorted keys pan the atmosphere in lead track Maple for an enticing start to the EP, before a dominating bass soon carries the track through layers of melodic synths. The sinister tones of Whistler are next and set to cause a serious stir on the dancefloor. Last up, Bek is a solid techno roller with a thundering bass, enhanced by an incredible richness in the haunting synths that echo throughout.
Vilnius based Gardens of God has established himself as a key player in the world of house and techno. The classically trained artist has enjoyed a groundbreaking few years with weighty features on BBC Radio 1, plus vital releases on Maceo Plex's Ellum and his own imprint Sodai.

Romanian duo Vinyl Speed Adjust return with the second instalment on their synonymously titled imprint, VSA Records.
With fellow Romanian duo 'Dubsons' composing the 'Perceptions' EP's A-side, 'Luci' follows a minimal soundscape groove, which exudes warm pads and dark fx, leading you through a spatial journey.
Meanwhile, label curators Vinyl Speed Adjust take control of the B side with another raw techno cut. Their signature percussive approach is fused with a killer bassline and a rhythmical groove, manifesting in a moody composition which is guaranteed to trip your mind.

Here it is: 50WEAPONSXTR05, another heavy hitting 2 tracker by the three young guns hailing from Spandau.
Gewerbe 15 is a primetime sure shot initiating a broken kickdrum which eventually makes way for a pummeling 4/4 beat which is bound to shake the walls of any club. The track takes its title from the Gewerbe (German for commercial space) where the boys have spent the years leading up to their 50WEAPONS signing. Here, at 15 square meters spanning a living space and a studio for three people, the first two FJAAK EPs for 50WEAPONS had seen the light of day.
Track 2 entitled Rush sees FJAAK play with a much more house-oriented approach to a peaktime track. A rock hard and distorted kickdrum, piercing hi-hats and a soaring ride are paired with almost jersey-esque, shuffling chords that will work any sweaty club just as much as a breezy open air.
FJAAK go hard and we're pretty sure we will hear this record being played on repeat by the big house and techno DJs and all their hungry followers alike. KILLER!

The underground anthems just keep on coming from Seth Troxler's Play It Say Itlabel. Next up is assured party starter and Snatch! label boss, Riva Starr. This Italian hit maker has long been delivering off-kilter and playful underground house tunes. He does so on his own label as well as Cajual and Hot Creations, always injecting them with plenty of colour and charm, which help them stand out in any set. These latest two offerings are no different, and are sure to blow up dance floors all over the world.
First up is the arresting title track, 'Another Dimension', a skewed and sideways house cut with booming bass, bumpy drums and quirky trumpets going off in all directions. It's a grinding groove that will drill to the heart of any 'floor and really set it alight.
Then comes 'Another Race', a much deeper and more direct tune for heads down dancing. It has surging kicks and synths, slinky percussion and an irresistible sense of forward motion that will sweep up all those who hear it. Clever filters bring real tension, teasing out plenty of pressure and ensure this one is another modern classic in the making.
These are two powerful tracks from Riva Starr that are sure to make a real impact this spring and mark another standout release from Seth Troxler's ever impressive Play it Say It.

Four heavy-banger-outstanding-tunes, this time. No place for remixes. If you wonder how it sounds like, let's say it is Electronic Body Techno with a touch of cosmic-retroesque Axis atmosphere but still some groove, nevertheless. 500 copies only.

Coast To Coast vividly presents the many faces of Belgian producer and dj Peter Van Hoesen. Example in case: the title track is a no-holds-barred epic synthesizer composition, recorded at the producer's Handwerk Audio synthesizer studios. Van Hoesen's love for widescreen synthesis comes clearly to the fore on this track. It is a beautiful showcase of how techno can be emotive, driving and muscular, all at the same time. Entrance To Entropic City takes a different path, opting for a much more abstract narrative. Shunning away from the dancefloor, it chooses to hint at concepts hidden below its sonic surface. Voodoo Benny's Wishbone takes the listener deep into hypnotic and percussive breakbeat territory. Menacing synth sweeps coil around the drums while a polyrhythmic groove shows off its tension, six minutes long. Finally, in Empire In Decline - 2017 Dub Van Hoesen reworks his 2008 classic. Shuffling breakbeats form a new base for Empire's bouncing synth lead.

Soma are proud to present the debut album from Rebekah as she unleashes the incredible Fear Paralysis . Rebekah has consistently been one of the most ferocious and exciting Techno artists for some time and is currently riding high within the Soma ranks after debuting on the label back in 2015 with the audacious Confined Heart EP . This album has certainly been a labour of love for Rebekah as uncertain times, musically, lead her to refocusing all her time and energy into developing her sound with the aim of creating a cleaner rhetoric than she was generally known for. The culmination of this process has found Rebekah returning to a simpler time where elements from the depths are explored thoroughly within Fear Paralysis.
Rebekah wastes no time in diving head first into her first full length, with even the Intro setting the dark and ominous tone of the release. Breakfast With Jeff really kicks off Fear Paralysis as Rebekah further ups the pace, unleashing a menacing yet powerful Techno workout. The feisty producer then takes things down a different path, exploring more album orientated material as 1997 Reprise, Requiem For A Dream & Breath see Rebekah explore various forms of broken beat, atmospheric and more thoughtful territories. Rebekah continues to show her versatility as a producer as the album process continues. Tell Me Your Secrets serves up a more cerebral sound whilst title track Fear Paralysis evokes a deeper more emotive side whilst remaining, ultimately, a dance floor focused track. The later half of the album sees Rebekah once again delivering on what she does best. Thirteen is a pounding and sinister affair, laden with perilous drones leading perfectly into I Died A Thousand Times. Another broken beat affair swamped in mutated sequences and murky background textures. The jacked up Code Black, a track already doing damage as the 2nd single taken from the album, powers home toward the back end of the album which allows Rebekah to bring things to a close on a more deeper tip. Again drifts gently with its staccato baseline line, wistful pads and filtered percussion with Rebekah s own vocals providing the depth. The electronica based Later That Day and the vicious Anxiety, taken from Rebekah s 2nd Soma single, bring this momentous album to an electrifying end.
Rebekah easily shows off her adaptability throughout and clearly shows a very wide range of influences in each track, making Fear Paralysis the perfect listening and club use album

The second release from Cassy's new collaborative label 'Kwench Records' sees New York native Fred P turn in three stellar remixes of Cassy & Demuir's 'Please Me' from the labels inaugural release from November. The remit for each release on the label is for two (or more) collaborating artists to produce original material, whilst a different artist will deliver one remix. However, after hearing three fantastic interpretations from Fred P, Cassy was adamant that the tracks were so special, they had to have their own release. 'His remixes exceeded expectations, and it's incredible how direct and beautiful they all are.' - Cassy
Cassy has been an admirer of Fred P's work for many years. She loves the way his music is expressed and its immediate nature. 2017 has been a vintage year for Fred P, with his 'Instinctive Rhythms' EP and FP-Oner album '7', garnering critical acclaim from across the board. The 'Please Me Reshape Project' continues the New Yorker's fine vein of form across three mesmerising tracks.
Kwench Records is a project centred around Cassy's belief that dance music should be natural and a pure expression, a view shared by the artists she invites on board.
Both Cassy and Fred P are practitioners of the label's ethos, looking to create songs that resonate with the listener, as well as themselves.
'It's not about hit records, it's about making music for real, and with the intention of what you can give, rather than what you can get.' - Fred P
The three remixes share Fred P's inimitable sound, with the 10 minutes of his 'Journey Mix' slowly embracing and developing into a cosmic voyage. The 'Fixation Mix' is an up-tempo cut, with ambient synth keys perched over brooding bass notes. The final track from the EP, 'Broken Vibes Mix', features Cassy's distinct vocals over carefully muffled claps and broken beat.

Late last year, the world was introduced to DJ Wey via 'Nosebleed,' a singularly jacking piece of house destruction on the Lovers Rock no. 6 compilation. Now the enigmatic producer returns to the LR fold with his debut EP 'Introduccion.' Across four tracks, Wey maps a wild, tripped out terrain, both sinister and fun: 'Anthem Para La Club,' recorded with J. Albert as Amigos DJs, bounces bitter tales of rejection against a twisting, unrelenting drum track. With Wey on the mic, jokes seethe and complaints dissolve into laughs, while the percolating drum pattern takes on a truly anthemic quality. Elsewhere, Wey indulges his dreamier side: 'Emily's' infectious, bouncing bassline and wandering leads are soaked in emotion, while 'Tare Gent Us' builds on the sickeningly-sweet tension of 'Nosebleed.' Finally, 'Llanganatis' closes out the EP with a moment of breathtaking introspection. Unfinished melodies flicker across aquatic pads, while a distant electro beat betrays the producer's Miami roots. Fresh, fun, out of control and yet surprisingly nuanced, Lovers Rock is proud to present DJ Wey's 'Introduccion.'

Aww - you propably say that to everyone you just stuck your dong in! Nah - normally I just pull my pants up and go, but I think you're special! Stop it - I know you have a boyfriend, you just talked about him. Don't play with me.
So I fall in love sometimes, what does that have to do with my boyfriend Well you said you love him!
That's true, because he is who he is, but that doesn't mean I can't love anyone else for who they are too! Is there a limited amount of love you can give I don't think so.
So you are one of those Poly people huh Yeah, maybe - I guess so. I don't get that - it seems like you just don't wanna make a commitment. Well I have a track for you to listen to. It's by this technoband called Furfriend. There's a remix by The Fools Stone... pick which one you like and give it a listen. Maybe you will understand what I mean. t's called 'Polytuna' here's my number.

Suction Records is proud to present the 4th and final volume of RX-101's 'EP' series of vinyl releases, showcasing a selection of standout cuts from Dutch producer Erik Jong's vast archive of previously-unreleased techno, IDM, acid, and electro, recorded to cassette from 1997-1999. Roland's cover-star instruments, the SH-101 and Juno-106, play a prominent role in EP 4's sound - a playful mix of joyous, sometimes haunting synthesizer melodies, and raw, crunchy percussion. From the early-Squarepusher melodies of opener Themis, to the eerie Boards of Canada-like nostalgia of Transmission, EP 4 delivers 6 tracks of classic late-90s electronix, with RX-101 affirming himself as an unheralded master in the Rephlex/Warp/Skam domain.

Long-time influential techno label Mosaic is back with a fine new EP from Germany's Andre Kronert. The Odd/Even boss has been turning out dubby and atmospheric EPs for ten years now, and here he adds three more such sumptuous tracks to his discography.A Track Called Jinx is first and is an economical but effective roller with vast drums, subtle hi hats and a wonky lead synth line that brings a trippy feel to the groove. Perfect for basements or warehouses alike, it works on both head and heel in style. Bottom Line is more forceful and hard hitting thanks to slamming drums and a nervous, twitching, haunted synth sound off in the distance. Racing along and taking you with it, the urgency of this one really is compelling. Finally, Pressure Dub is somewhere in the middle, with rolling kicks looping down low, scattered percussive hits up top and unsettling synth motifs all layered up into a smooth dub techno classic. Spacious and spooky it is another effortlessly essential cut from Kronert and Mosaic.Available on limited edition 180 yellow vinyl only.

etb019 - Bastinov - Pentagon Bastinov (aka Diego Gennaro) is a Venice based young producer and DJ, following his last year release on Etruria Beat he is now presenting a more mature work, showing his artistic growth. This EP, the 19th of Etruria Beat Records and the 2nd release from Bastinov , is a path into techno and in its shades, starting from punching and rolling sounds and ending up with the addition of some melodic parts. Beyond the original mixes the EP is enriched with remixes from label boss Luca Agnelli, newcomer talents Toms:due and Proudly People. 'Pentagon' is composed by an alternated hypnotic synth's melody and a vibrant groove based which will bring you into your deepest mental journey. Luca Agnelli's remix of 'Pentagon' is a dub-techno explosive interpretation of the groove, spiced by a dark triplets synth and an amazing kick-dropping that will burn up the dance floors for sure! 'Theorem", was created with an amazing and pleasant chord, a devasting groove and big-punchin kick made by analogic drum machines (as the vintage Roland CR5000). The second remix on the vinyl comes from Toms:due that moved the track down to the 'Motor City's rules", adding a massive and dirty 909 groove and giving a special reinterpretaton of the original synth. A special digital bonus remix comes from Proudly People , composed by their unmistakable dark and deep techno sound, perfect for early morning djsets.

For the past four years Francesco Leali kept busy running Parachute alongside co-owners Manfredi Romano and Thomas Feriero, producing under different monikers and touring the globe as half of CW/A. Finally back as Clockwork, Leali reveals a five track EP featuring some of his rugged music to date. A briery shift into foggier territories where Leali explores layered sound-design and broken rhythms, something he had only hinted in his previous work.
'Online Entity' depicts Leali's hindrance with modern society's social networking obsession. 'In contrast to what these services were actually intended for', Leali explains, 'They seem to have impacted a lot of people negatively, resulting in unnecessary resentments, misinformation and feelings of proximity when these tools can easily alienate you from reality'.
'Constantly worrying about how you want people to perceive you is absurd already, but for many of us this constant sharing has become the only way to achieve happiness, to be satisfied. In an era where all of this is getting out of hand it's essential to remind yourself of the things that truly shape you as an individual. With
Online Entity I aimed for feelings of release, mutating resentments into something positive - more physical. I imagined it as a soundtrack to an escape from these very situations.'
The release showcases this approach with five club-ready numbers filled with calculated, pounding drums and gloomy atmospheres, with only rare glimpses of hope scattered throughout.
To round things up we mobilised fellow Parachute affiliate Ayarcana and Serbian Techno pro Lag who both deliver two startling interpretations of 'Escape Sequence' and 'Rumination'.
P.M.T.C. - Located somewhere between Australia's interior and the white beached coasts of the Mediterranean, the two tracks presented here 'Reality Change' and 'Cool Waters' are a hybrid kind-of chaos between futurism and rave nostalgia. Inspired by the climatic shifts imposed by a modern trans-hemispherical lifestyle and characterized by more energetic tempos and repetition, P.M.T.C. focuses the attention on the smaller differences, while retaining some of the playful melodies and euphoric sound palette that emits that comfortable warmth, which has become a trademark on both Fantastic Man and Superconscious records.

B12 and Warp unearth the previously unknown missing piece to their soundtrack of space Electro-Soma.
Reaching even further out into the deepest recesses of the Artifical Intelligence universe, Electro-Soma II collects some of B12's most cherished tracks from the Electro-Soma period and arranges them into an album of archival material that sounds as otherworldly and compellingly timeless as when we first heard Electro-Soma back in 1993. Electro-Soma II perfectly bridges the gap between the groups earliest AI material through to 1996's Time Tourist, while providing a fascinating viewpoint into the music of one of the most elusive and incredible artists to ever grace Warp.

d_func. (aka Alexander Kowalski) makes a welcome return to Finitude. The title hints at what to expect from the EP. Spiral Tribe are a legendary UK-originated free party project, active since the early 90's who introduced free teknivals all over Europe and North America, and the electronic music scene owes them a great deal. Paying tribute to their activities, Alexander has prepared a two-parter, which strays away his 'signature' style. Both "Spiral Tribe Cuts" are slow, hypnotic acid burners which will be appreciated by old skool acid trance heads, as well as Plastikman and Sahko fans. There is also a remix coming from the Swedish artist Evigt Morker, who provides the most club-oriented track on the EP. His take is a piece of ethereal, timeless techno - if you're into Donato Dozzy or Abdulla Rashim, you're in for a treat.

"Do It Differently. Fly on Your Own Wings. Rave Voyeurism Is Not A Crime."
Fervor recordings is back with Sapor of Acracy by Mattias Fridell.
Swedish Techno producer he was born in the early 80's, known for his mechanically & synthetic driven sound structures, is a man involved in many projects.
The ep is composed by 4 tracks, two original and two remixes by the acid duo Boston 168 and Code 701.

Following in the footsteps of his last two Second State EPs and the recent launch of his own label BLKDRP, Michael Klein returns to Second State with four brilliantly crafted and highly infectious warehouse weapons on 'This Moment'. Kicking things off with the title track 'This Moment', Klein wastes no time diving into the peak time antics he is best known for. By layering hauntingly catchy patterns of powerful drums, vocal hooks, and simple yet impressive sonic jabs, Klein succeeds in creating an unforgettable and enduring cut that is sure to stand the test of time. Next up is 'Repeat' and it closely resembles the approach of the previous track with an irrefutable groove of vocal fragments and wild drum arrangements while 'Belief' shows Klein forge an absolute banger with a much simpler approach of straight four-to-the-floor construction of hypnotic percussive rhythms and a single, cryptic synth lurking in the shadows. Wrapping up the EP is the digi only track 'Jack' and Michael Klein leaves us with a scorcher of crisp rolling percussion and bursts of an attitude laden voice commanding the floor to none other than, 'Jack!' - Get into 'This Moment' now!

Clash Lion is a mix of three personalities; Shall Ocin, TERR and Daniel Watts. Three artists with different musical backgrounds merging forces to create a truly eclectic and open-minded label.
After the standout success of their debut release from Maetrik in September, the labels second helping comes from label co-owner, Shall Ocin, known for his heavy use of modular synths, analog rhythmboxes and custom-made effects his 'Bounty Hunter' EP is definitely unique.
'Cicada' layers atmospheric modulations, slow pulsating synth work on top of a booming bass drum. Dark synth tones resonate to create real exploration of sound.
Raw, and somewhat ethereal in its composition 'Bounty Hunter' layers frequency patterns in a fresh formation, leading into a heady path of sound texture before its thunderous release with a booming synth riff.
The labels mission to achieve eclectic, no boundaries electronic music has been displayed throughout this release from Shall, with the final track 'Yummy Jam' creating an experimental electronica vibe, showing his passion for innovation.

A brazen complex 4 tracker to launch Ibadan Records into 2014. The title track 'Black Jerusalem', a collaboration between Jerome Sydenham and Ibadan Records latest talent dujour Sally, launches Ibadan Records into year 19 of existence. This sophisticated Tech-House exposition is a broiling example of the
beats, rhythms and pace to be expected from this dynamic duo. 'Mainline' is the second installment of Ibadan Records 'Editopia' series (with Carl Craig's 'Angel' being the first). On this edit extravaganza Jerome Sydenham teams up with Rebecca Rotlicht for dissection duties. The result being a dark dubbed out
Techno-vigorated all purpose refurbishment of Robag Wruhme's remix of Brendon Moeller's classic 'Mainline'. DJ Karizma's remix of DJ Spen's 'Heavenly' gets an exuberant touch by Jerome Sydenham for the 'Editopia' cause. The result is a classic definition of modern brazen Deep House. 'X-Ova' brings back together the team of Ibadan Records artist Aschka and Jerome
Sydenham. They waste no time infusing the rhythmic sperits of Detroit with groovy electronica overtone resulting in a spirited Deep-Techno-House experience.

This summer Path Records launches its 2017 campaign with freshly recorded material from Reade Truth's Fate 258' moniker. The Games With Blades' EP delivers an epic dose of material once again deeply rooted in the mysteriously seductive sci-fi themes the artist and label are well known for. Games with Blades' visits the dystopian subject matter of the ultra-classic Bladerunner' and furthers reflection upon its themes of immortality, empathy, and the femme fatale. Much like 1999's highly sought digger-classic Why 2k' this EP provides an enticingly varied mixture of flavors. Deep and heavy techno, raw and rhythmic house and funkier electro styled breaks are all on display alongside Fate 258's heavy bed of intricate sample-work. Path Records are leaders in the left field, providing dance floors with unique, conceptual future-classics that sublimely push a futuristic vision.

ENAU002 brings Sweden's electronic hero Hakan Lidbo to the forefront with bubbling, percussive electronica in the A-side "Sustain". The b-side offers up a tasty contrast with two heavy hitting house bangers by Swedish wizz kid Omar Santis, the remix going deep, while "Smor" opts for the playful mood.

Adam Beyer's Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno's number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn't fit in their regular EP release schedule. With an eye on future talent, as much as the label's established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode's multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. Led by the stealth techno funk of 'Nine of You', Beyer's deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O'Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016.Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

An Der Grenze brings together Techno music and photography in order to take you somewhere between heavens and oceans.
Ben Buitendijk has made himslef a name since he received great support from UK live performer Steve O'Sullivan. At the end of
2013, Ben released Promised Land on Steve's' Mosaic Split Series (Part One). One year later, Ben was in charge of the first release of Roger Gerressen's new imprint OGUN Records on which he presented his very first solo EP Magnitude (OGUN001). Finally, it's in March 2015 that Ben took the plunge when he launched his owm imprint Oblique Music and released his second solo EP, but first release of the label, Venomous (OBQ001), followed early June by his Past and Present EP (OBQ002). Ben is blossoming. We're therefore glad to welcome him and his mate Koen Hoets (release debut) on An der Grenze.
On the occasion of its second release, LumièresLaNuit and TONESERIES co-founder, Edouard, is glad to welcome Rotterdam-based duo Ben Buitendijk & Koen Hoets's Coordinated EP (ADG002) on An Der Grenze.
Coordinated EP presents two tracks relating to two different spots, so two different atmospheres. Whereas 51°54'01.6"N
4°28"05.0"E corresponds with the Maastunel in Rotterdam that connects the banks of the Nieuwe Maas, 51°54'33.0"N
4°29"13.7"E matches the Erasmusbrug (Erasmus Bridge), a combinedcable-stayed and bascule bridge in the center of Rotterdam connecting the north and the south parts of the city. Whereas the A-side presents a techno and trippy side, the B-side reveals a more atmospheric and percussive one.
In summary, both tracks are quite linear, a linearity that hypnotises and sucks the listener up till bringing him in a trance that
makes him feeling in another dimension.

Deep Sound Channel delve deeper into the waters of ESHU. Following releases from ARC# and Tom Liem comes J&L, the team of Jocelyn Abell and Tom Liem, with a storm of emotions. Brooding, menacing, the tumult of "Uneven Tides" introduces. Steady thuds support flows of warmth, flows countered by piercing coldness in a track that is as absorbing as it is haunting. A sea of veritable tranquillity descends for "Lunar Tides." Soften, staggered basslines are punctuated with crisp skeletal cymbal. New textures come to the surface for the autumnal currents of "Ocean Tides." Churning chords reflect night skies, shifting percussion floating amidst the jetsam.
