MindTrip presents MT13, which sees another young Argentinan talent - Farceb - making his MindTrip debut. Farceb is a producer who's been pricking ears over the last couple of years with strong releases on labels such as Arts, Orioni and Circular Limited. He now joins Pfirter's imprint with his superb Signals From Space EP. Exoplanet War sets things in motion and is a stylish, entrancing tune, which - if it wasn't for it's intrinsic energy and power - would border on the somniferous. Next up is Signals from Space, a tough, brutal and percussive workout, punctuated by dark, organic synth stabs. This track builds and rolls along in a way dancefloors will love. Unknown Shadow is a powerful, stripped down merciless lump of peak-time techno which cleverly blends atmosphere and hard hitting percussion. The final track - the superb Hyperion - is a 6 minute, deadly exercise in pushing intensity and tension to (and sometimes beyond) commonsensical limits. This is MindTrip music!

The tension between the natural and artificial, the body and mind, are central themes in electronic music in general, and Techno in particular, as the means of creation, focused around technology and interactions with machines, contrast with the emotional response to sound, the mystical ritual of collective dancing, and the ethos of liberation and tolerance embedded in the culture it produced.

We're navigating a world of engineered pleasures, big data monitoring of movements and consumption habits, and falsely objective representations of reality, further blurred by a reduced attention span and several opaque layers of cultural interpretation and political manipulation.

Manichean simplifications are used to create hate and fear in order to achieve domination and impose limits on freedom, and the irrational belief in endless growth, increasingly disconnected from nature, led to massive environmental destructions and waves of unprecedented extinctions of species.

Our primal sensuous perception, vastly more abstract, emotional and sensual, make us feel the world as an ambiguous realm we are part of, but not in control of ; a complex network of interacting forces and enigmatic patterns, a matrix of overlapping desires. Rebuilding our bonds with nature, Reconnecting with our senses, and spreading love in the process becomes an essential act of resistance.

Richard Smith a.k.a L/F/D/M reports four barrelling hardware shots from London's EBM and techno underworld with the tense, nervous energy of his Crocodiles in the Ceiling EP for Not Waving's Ecstatic label following a slew of 'floor-wreckers with Optimo Trax and Diagonal (Bronze Teeth, Green Gums with former Factory Floor member Dom Butler).
More pointed, succinct than last year's M Is A Shape debut LP for the label, this 2nd volley finds him flexing and bozing a buzzing set of dancefloor prongs amid the sweat-mist and strobelights, feeling equally at home during all-day, no sleep Berghain rituals and clammy, redlit darkroom beat offs.
It's burning deep heat for the DJs, rubbing up the gym-trained pony canter and popper fog of Lego Train Crashes beside the rude industrial rider Elek F up top, and clearly taking a grimacing pleasure from the New Beta jut of Take A Chance, whilst Rum + Black foams and spits with the rawest, most uncouth agenda.
In his dual roles as musician and graphic artist L/F/D/M draws on both sides of his practice in order to dance, as he explains Music and art kinda switch places within the balance of my creative process, ideas come in different ways, cutting out collages, layering sound, hacking into outtakes, snipping out ideas.The result is a visceral, animated style, pushing at the most frayed, wild-eyed aspects of post-industrial/acid/techno with inarguably potent impact and effect.

The new techno bomb on Delude Records Vinyl comes from the new producer guy Maik Davis. The release contains the original mix of Tension, a great techno bomb with fantastic arrangements and elements of electronic music.

For its second chapter XCPT Music delivers a collaboration EP by label heads Nothus and Delikwe. Original drumbreak centred with echoes of astral techno and pulsating UK vibes coming out with a footworking' warehouse remix by Detroit based MGUN and a no prisoner taking hardcore-dnb rework by DJ Plant Texture.

Peverelist does Peverelist on his 3rd album of Bristolian bass techno prisms, Tessellations; his first for the Livity Sound label, forming a typically stripped, acute treatise on the flux of dub, techno, D&B and ambient electronics that make up his soundsystem DNA.

Rooted in the '90s but curved and toned for 2017, Pev's sound is economically functional but not without a crucial sliver of emotive, sensual/textural pressure that bleeds thru in each cut. It's hardly hands-in-the-air material, yet his slow-burning vibes are arguably more satisfying and subtly impressive in the immediacy of the dance and for the long run.

Across a neatly plotted 48 minutes he systematically investigates and consolidates all stripes of the Peverelist sound in a way that builds on the experiments of 12000 Seconds [2014] whilst reprising and refining the heft of Jarvik Mindstate [2009].

The roiling modular tones of opener Burning Seas offers a rare, beat-less iteration of his sound before the session properly gets under way, vacillating the pressure between Under Clearing Skies dense electro-bass pulses and strobing dub chords, and the wide open lushness of Still Early, then twisting into the latinate shimmy of Sheer Chance Matters and the spiralling trills of Wireframes, which sounds almost like Plastikman meets Unique 3.

Further Inland brings a lot of originality and feeling with a misty-eyed mesh of airy Detroit/Berlin arpeggios and serpentine house swang, cooling down into the tribalism patterns of Brinks and Limits and closing on another rare, beat-less vision, Plateau from which to survey his rolling topography and then dive back in again.

A gem of a warehouse find on offer here with this superb and underrated collaboration by several giants of the UK electronic scene from back in 2005.


First up is Stasis AKA Steve Pickton who needs no introduction as a true player from the early days of Peacefrog, B12 and Pure Plastic related labels that included too many pseudonyms to mention. His track on offer '20ft Scarf' moodily drives and smashes its way in typical Anglo-Detroit style - superb.

On the Flip is the pensive, bubbling downbeat acid affair that is 'Byters'. This beast comes from the frankly staggering (and one time only) collaboration of Andy Turner & Ed Handley (AKA Plaid and formerly of Black Dog), Baby Ford, Mark Broom, Dave Hill and Steve Pickton to boot !

Wendy Gondeln is here to introduce and spread the dance style called Fracking.

Gondeln, also known as the German painter Albert Oehlen and longtime Red Crayola member, recently laid out the aspects of Fracking in his studio in Düsseldorf.

Realising that one thing was missing, he asked Wolfgang Voigt to provide him with two plain Gabber bass drum canvases. Wendy, a great connaisseur of this ancient form of techno, considered the offerings from the unheralded prince of the German bass drum so precious that he drove to Cologne to pick them up personally. He managed to take the delights home safely, painted over them with his bow as if it was a brush and thus completed his vision of Fracking.

Wolfgang on the other hand, couldn't stop Fracking after Wendy's visit, which resulted not only in his first Fracking track, but in his first three. Included here in the form of a Fracking triptych.

When Magazine (Jens-Uwe Beyer, Crato, Barnt) heard of this new thing called Fracking, they had to start Fracking too. Of course. Not long before this text was written, these Frackings were brought back to Düsseldorf and tested towards the end of a frenzied set at the Salon Des Amateurs. And guess what people started as soon as the bow hit the violin...
... right: FRACKING!

Chicago's DJ Clent has long been revered as one of the founding figures of the city's unique juke and footwork scene. Having released some of the genres earliest examples of the sound he's rightfully respected as a DJ and producer in the game. "100% Ghetto - We 2 Ghetto 4 Ya!" was originally released in 1998 on the legendary Dance Mania label and has been long sought after by fans of juke, footwork and the ghetto house sound and is quite a tough record to track down often commanding collectors prices in the used market.Across 7 tracks covering various styles Clent gives us his rough, ready and raw sound. A lot has happened since Eats Everything made his debut back in 2011... He tours the world relentlessly, has a BBC Radio 1 residency, runs his own label, and has racked up countless awards and accolades.
Considering his last Dirtybird appearance was on our tenth-anniversary compilation years back - and because Eats is one of our dearest players - we're thrilled to welcome him back with his "Clash Of The Tight-Uns" EP.
He brought a friend along with him this time, fellow UK producer Lord Leopard, and together they crafted two singles for us. "Song For" & "War Rhythm". The former perfectly captures the essence of Eats personality - fun, playful and full of life, while Lord's influence is heard on the latter: a darker, blitering techno track.

The colors are stunning. In a single view, I see looking out at the edge of the earth, all the colors of the prism. Red at the horizon, blends to orange and yellow, followed by a thin white line, then light blue, gradually turning to dark blue, then black as the vastness of space engulfs the surroundings. As I looked upon our home rock, I saw many natural features. I witnessed a large river meandering slowly along for miles, passing from one country to another without stopping or hesitation. I also saw huge forests, extending along & across several borders as if these divides didn't exist. I watched the extent of one ocean touch the shores of separate continents; then suddenly, a profound thought came over me as I looked down on all this....

From Collected Poems 1947-1980.

Poker Flat Classics continues its highly promising series with a huge pair of reworks of a seminal Poker Flat track. Martin Landsky's 1000 Miles -originally released in 2006, rightfully takes the stage in the second instalment - receiving blistering remixes from two true masters. Laurent Garnier's incredible career barely needs commenting on; suffice to say he brings his trademark, tough and epic sound to the forefront here. Pushing 1000 Miles into yet more mind-bending shapes, the Frenchman injects the original with a new sense of urgency. Welding a fractured synth melody around Landsky's big room hook, the results are a pure techno moment - sure to cause a stampede to the booth at most discerning clubs. Holland's Gerd, responsible for some recent incendiary dancefloor burners of his own, also drops another bomb here. Under his Geeeman persona, Gerd, twists 1000 Miles into a trippy, euphoric monster - a late night house detonation for the heads and a fitting tribute to Landsky's modern classic.

Receptive Visions returns with it's second release, the trademark sound of Milos is apparent on both sides of this 12 inch. A tale of two cities with a distorted 909, acid lines and ravey stabs is pure peak time goodness. While Shifting Perspective revolves around quirky keys and military style drums.

Feel the breeze !!

Mesmerising, moody-as-f**k new production from Pessimist, owning the dark blue space where icy drum'n'bass minimalism and sub-aquatic dub-techno meet. Perfect alignment of stripped, shadow-boxer drums, swooping drones and earth-shaking subs, with a thin layer of crackle and masterful use of silence.....you can hear the influence of Chain Reaction outliers, Source Direct, even early dark garage in there....but this is a pure futurist blend. On the flip, the dense, dungeon rollage of 'Orphic', an effortless bridging of torques and tempos that builds on the radical groundwork of Regis, Felix K and Pessimist's own Ruffhouse crew. Following a run of fine solo work for Ingredients and Samurai Music among others, the Bristol-based producer and UVB-76 co-founder has truly excelled himself here, demonstrating both a subtlety and a ruthlessness that sets him apart from his peers. If you come across a deadlier record this year, let us know.

Label Boss Spartaque delivers a massive 3 tracker on the first Codex vinyl release. In The Beginning sets forth a commanding bassline while acidic synths move fluidly with the rhythm and distinct arpeggios come together to take you into the darkness.

Amber Room stomps through the room with an elastic groove, hi hats sessions and deep basslines, while clearing the path for growling synths and melodic overtones layered with a sexy diva vocal sample.

The EP closes with a track titled 'Berliner Goes The Rave' collaboration with Spartaque's good friend Greenjack, which delivers a grinding bassline in combination with the hypnotic male vocals of the haunting kind, eerie notes and a mysterious vibe throughout.

Anatomy of Melancholia will be the first release of Ephemeral Manoeuvres, a travel through the dreams of a person who has lost somebody on his course of life. The album have 3 original tracks and a vision from another artist who have to enforce the third track Life enlightens me, again' with a daydream' version, more luminous, powerful and oriented to the dancefloor. In the first track Memories', the main character dive into his dreams against his own memories. The track have a powerful droned and fuzzy pads and winds, teleporting us inside the deepest part of our mind and ephemeral voices inviting you to be part of it. The second track Forgive you (I Can't)' it's a powerful passage to the lost memories of the deeper part of the dream. A forcefulness and progressive groove and percussions swallow us to the longest part of this oddissey. The diffused pads, winds and voices makes us feel better in a stop for rest in our continuous fight. Third track Life enlightens me, again' inspired by pure Dreampop chords, is the only way to awake from memories what are doing us pain and suffer. The light is at the end, we can see it, but we can't touch it creating a softly tension, making you a prisoner of a beautiful nightmare.

The fifth Modern Cathedrals release by Altstadt Echo seeks to exhume genuine, complex, and often contradictory human emotion from dead samples and broken beat structures. Throughout the 1905 EP, the artist crafts melodies that embody a tension between nostalgia and frustration, supported by carefully textured and relatively functional percussion. The remix of 'Dry Despair' by Abdulla Rashim (AR) strips the original of its lofty chords, instead pursuing a focused and bone-dry experimental techno approach. In contrast, the remix by Stave combines elements of the original's drifting atmosphere with violent industrial percussion.

The Bristol-based producer made an indelible mark on 2016 with his 'Balaklava' 12' for BEB's A14 series, its title track a single-minded masterclass in brooding, minimalist, dubwise drum 'n bass. EPs on UVB-76 and Osiris Music and a remix of Schiari on Ilian Tape followed, underlining the Ruffhouse associate's status as one of the most gifted and progressive artists working underground today - with an unmistakeable signature sound that effortlessly bridges dnb, techno and abyssal/industrial sound design. His debut album will be out on Blackest Ever Black later this year. To prepare the ground, we've cut two of its heaviest weapons to white label for advance release: 'Through The Fog', a slab of neo-junglist soundsystem pressure chopping bitcrushed breaks, clipped vocal licks and darkside bass drones into something like a 21st century update of Source Direct's 'Call and Response'; and 'Peter Hitchens, a 'tribute' in broken techno to the 'notorious' Mail on Sunday columnist, driven by BMB-style dropforge drums and a tripped-out ARP synth line that P.H. would possibly identify as symptomatic of 'the British establishment's surrender to drugs'.

Hopis is a glance at the various personalities embodied in the duo Charlotte Isabelle, the whole being wrapped in an ethnic universe. The guideline of their second EP is to expose repetitive and percussive beats from the stage to the public, bringing the audience in a gloomy world, and keeping on their path after a debut release on Lucy's Stroboscopic Artefact.

Absolutely rare & massive RAVE masterpiece produced in 1993 by the legendary Bad Kreuznach-based producer Martin Damm, better known to all Hardcore headz as The Speed Freak, Necronomicon, DJ Fistfuck or Wendy Milan as well as to followers of electronic music in general as Anodyne, Biochip C, Phase IV and millions of others pseudonyms.

With these four tracks on pink vinyl he explores the realms of massive early 90s Rave Techno and Oldskool Breakbeats whilst offering anthemic, tongue-in-cheek sample madness. RAVE alert and XTC!

After 18 12" singles and EPs, CGI has finally found a record suited for its first full-length LP release, 'Hurt Plaza' from Atlanta's own Pamela_ and her sons. Pamela_ is the solo music project of Alessandra Hoshor, an Atlanta-based multimedia artist, and 1/2 of evil dance project BIG DED. Their microtonal compositions build up from slow perceptual movements into heavy dance sets full of deconstructed vocals. Pamela_ is microtonal, cerebral dance music. Fragmented, off-kilter anxiety techno with an emphasis on texture, pattern, and rhythm. Familiar palettes are rearranged and presented in a form completely alien, opening new pathways to what is possible within the realm of electronic composition without ever underestimating the power of suggestion...effectively like looking into the eyes of your best friend for the first time again.

Bakalas EP Vol.01 aims to make known new talents from Hypnotica Colectiva's circle. Artists whose music captivated us because of their ability to reflect the influence of this new aggressive face of techno that recently came into the scene, and where we find traces from genres such as hardcore or styles within techno itself such as Industrial or Birmingham. The chosen for opening this release is Squaric. The distortions number one fan, as he proves to be through his works on Diffuse Reality (his own platform) and Subsist Records (the label where we heard of him for the first time). Ravereando is a dark and corrosive track, where Squaric pushes his acid machine to the limits during a trip through apocalyptic landscapes accompanied by the rhythm of his characteristic drumming. A2 is for our fellow, Raszia. With this one he demonstrates again this is the sound where he
fits best. With his brutal kick drum and hypnotic bassline, Flashback sends us back in time directly to the stunning sound of the 90s without a pause. Uncrat is a young Italian producer who we augur great success. Clearly influenced by IDM and avant-garde electronics, his music goes from the most epic and haunting side of techno to the broken rhythms and noises of the experimental and industrial. B1 track, Morney Rusmelt, is one of his more hard-hitting works. Instant reaction on the dancefloor is guaranteed. The mysterious Group, whom we welcome to HC Records, closes the release with another of his unnamed experiments. The infamous pioneer of Cologne Techno and Delirium co-founder Dr. Walker of Air Liquide- / Electro Bunker Cologne- / Djungle Fever- and Liquid Sky Berlin fame serves two trippy, analogue tracks under his secret BLACK ONE alias with this purple 10' piece.

Taken from the archives of Temple Records NYC this original pressing from 1995 is highly recommended to all fans of Psycho Acid. Tribalistic TechnoDub efforts and raw, hypnotic Techno produced and recorded on and by analogue gear.

Our next release sees the welcome return of Dez Williams. Since his first ep on the label in 2013, a lot has happened for the Welsh wizard. Releases for Shipwrec, Bedouin, New Flesh and Bass Agenda have followed, while his reputation as a killer live act has continued to grow. Opening with Lumphammer, Dez harks back to a time when big, brooding basslines were king. Add in whistling keys, tribal percussion and a few well-timed breakdowns, and you have what is surely one of his biggest tracks to date. Order To Fight takes a more aggressive route - a vocal-fused slab of raw acid, it leads nicely onto the flip, where Kabin Feeva's wild roaring synths are tuned specifically for the headstrong. Work Like Crazy meanwhile, sees Dez return to his roots with a bass heavy cut of crunched electro, doused in a dark filtered vox.

This EP starts with Stitched", which begins by a rough & anxious introduction with a drone bass and a dissonance pad. Then a steamroller sub bass engaged itself into an insane run drived by a brushing arpeggiated synth and sharpened cymbals. College Road, the eponym track is a bright energetic trippy techno track influenced by house grooves & sonorities, for club use (not only). The last track Bkr is a live construct track with both hardware and software stuff to create a freaky bouncing groove. Can be played as main set track or as tool as well. Artist Bio : Born in Rouen, Normandy, the duo Easy Morph used to make people dance in clubs before they were even allowed to get in. Together since the age of 12, the duo experienced some emulation among themselves and with the music they cherish and collect, the electronic music and particularly techno. The logical consequence was the creation of the duo a few years later in order to exploit this connection, at first for dj sets and then for production. In their sets as in their production, they like to hear the rolling sub and the kick on time, a powerful and compelling binary techno punctuated by dark soundscapes, sometimes melancholic accompanied by saturated synths brushing against acidity. The duo met later the collective Peche Mignon,seduced by their project, their values and their love of music.

Ital & Halal return to Lovers Rock with 'Tower B,' an EP of enigmatic techno explorations. 'Shenzhen River' opens: an ominous, questing acid line stretches its tendrils around nocturnal atmospheres. 'From the Brink' counters with glints of warm melody. On side B, the title track unfurls with slithering percussion and a menacing drone. Strength lies in calmness - and vice versa. Marcel Fengler returns on IMF and offers three new inspirited musical pieces that protrude from the club context just as well as cater for your home stereo, picking up on the diverse musical moods defined by his debut album Fokus (Ostgut Ton, 2013) while concentrating on intertwining sound aesthetics.
With Kyu' laid out on the A-side, this new 12" starts off with a delicate yet muscular floor-pleaser - its subtle 4/4 rhythm is counteracted by lush claps on 2/4, but the true finesse comes in form of its varying rhythmic details, crisp hi-hats and underlying, subtle melodies, most notably the twirling organ trills, sustained synth pads and alienated shout outs.
Shitau' on B1 picks up on these introverted and adoring musical moods with more organic bell percussion and swelling synth layers adding a more cinematic touch to the complex rhythm patterns—then pausing for a short dreamy break, gaining speed again before culminating in a grand finale. Zen' follows up with intimate string arrangements until Fengler varies the tone and tempo with tribalist percussion and a lush kick drum.
This EP is an ideal companion, whether you're pruning your bonsai or branching out a club set.

Radio Slave's 'F.Y.N Remix 1' draws on the essence of Daniel Bell, combining a sparse drum track with occasional 'sverh' vocal while 'F.Y.N Remix 2' kills the kicks completely and favours saturated bleeps and ominous atmospherics. 'F.Y.N Remix 3' continues the distorted motif but pairs it with pin sharp and powerful drums.

For almost two decades Dave Paton has been dredging the recesses of his mind for electronic inspiration. The findings have been fantastical, freakish and formidable; all ways of describing his latest outing. "The Great Pretender" straddles electro and techno, staggers between ambient and IDM and swaggers to its own bawdy beat. Rasping rhythm patterns are rinsed in ragged roars, charcoal chords are conjured before being crunched as The Wee Djs has his fun across five tracks.

Swedish born Christian Smith is sitting firmly at the top of the electronic dance music industry. His outstanding productions over the years have set the bench mark high, releasing on a collection of the industry's most respected labels such as Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Minus and his very own Tronic.
2016 has been a busy year so far for Christian, his Tronic label party series has been holding events worldwide, including the BPM Festival and Sonar OFF week, and an ever growing catalogue of releases not forgetting his most recent EP Force Majeure released in July on Drumcode which immediately entered Beatports Techno Top 10, straight in at No.8.
This September, Christian will release his third solo album titled Input-Output on his own Tronic imprint. Consisting of 11 original tracks, each one embodies Christians message of creating real techno, with powerful percussions and melodic basslines throughout. As the first album teaser, he released the first track Blast Off on the 25th July. This track is the definition of a techno builder, steadily rolling and pulsating its way through a rising synth blast that takes you high before dropping you back into the crispy percussive beat. You can expect the second set of exclusive tracks to be released on the 22nd August, with both Subzero (Club Mix) and Explanation.
Input/Output is an outstanding production offering some of the best driving techno you can expect from an artist like Christian, with his trademark style incorporated in every track.

Ronde is a French label proposing to gather a group of artists for the production of vinyl records around the concept of infinitely revolving loops.


VADIM SVOBOBA, is the founder of the Makesense label. He signed several eps on Eklo and DouleR and gives live performances throughout Europe (Fabric, Panorama Bar, Rex Club) with his gear. He opens this ep with minimalist and smooth house tracks, classy as usual!

SHARP is a French electronic music composer duet formed by Cédric Pigot and Jow. SHARP's distinctive energy comes from the meeting of their influences and their eras. Between 90's sound systems and club culture, their music is an unidentified case of experimental techno with groovy and noisy qualities at the same time. Repetitive loops, atmospheric layers, techno beat, wired sound... Their live performances weave the fragmented texture of a synthetic mythology pervaded by fully operating schizophrenic dynamics.

EDITH PROGUE, originally a French variety song composer converted to electronics over the last decade, he composes a subtle and sophisticated electronica with a light touch. In 2007 he received the Qwartz Electronic Music Awards 4 for timeline, a minimalist electro album, signed with the legendary Mille Plateaux label.



ANTIGONE is a young artist whose work is at the "avant-garde" of the French techno scene. Educated to forage through the Syncrophone's record racks since an early age, he is open to a wide range of music, even if he is resolutely Techno. He was quickly noticed by Parisian promoters, he is currently making his debut at Concrete.



DSCRD (a.k.a. Discordance) is an electronic music band born in Paris in 2008, and composed of five people. The artistic concerns of the collective mainly focus on the fields of soundscape, sound design, music-tool creation and live performance.



Since the beginning of the 90's CEDRIC PIGOT has been creating under various pseudonyms electro music with an immersive power and noisy escapes, with a radicalism exacerbated by the idea of speed, while creating sound compositions with a more atmospheric mood for visual artists such as Nicolas Moulin, Pierre Huyghe... He works on a very own interpretation of ambiance, flirting with bruitist aesthetics, thus giving birth to incredible sonic landscapes.



JOW is the founder of Ronde. He oscillates between the introspective and solitary work required by studio composition and collaborative projects. At the initiative of jam sessions gathering electronic music producers for Supernova, a collective he founded as its artistic director, he is also the other half of Sharp.

Senso Sounds drop a major release from techno heavyweight Dubfire and label boss Oliver Huntemann. Reuniting the partnership that has seen a string of seminal releases over the years in the form of their 'Elements' series, 'Humano' is the 2nd part of a continuation of this series - more weapons of grade dance-floor material from the high profile duo. Later on this year their partnership will be summarized in their 'Restrospectivo' album. Former Deep Dish man Dubfire's uncanny knowledge of how to create epic dance-floor moments is in full effect, combined with Huntemann's precision tool production techniques on the original version of the title track. The result is a super tough, tight and incalculably driving slice of techno goodness that will ignite floors worldwide. The rest of the EP manages to maintain the pressure - with a set of sick remixes from Victor Ruiz, Hatzler and Shaded. Ruiz, the Brazilian techno pioneer adds another level of fire to the original, tweaking and refining the track into a damager that pushes everything to 11 and hits home with every play. Hatzler, the Hamburg based German DJ/producer chooses a different direction - emphasizing more of the space in the original. Rinsing the tension to the next level, look out for the epic middle section break down. The whole package is primed to destroy clubs far and wide - techno at its most effective. Shaded's Summer Skin remix also delivers a tightly wound interpretation, with a bubbling bass line and nervous, excited groove providing the fuel for an extended dancefloor excursion.

DYAD is a collaborative music project and label by Ben Gibson and Fundamental Interaction. For their first release they bring two pieces of accomplished techno as DYAD together with a remix by Japanese legend Takaaki Itoh.

City Slang is very proud to announce the Sympathy for the Auto Industry Remixes by Berlins analog techno prodigies FJAAK (50Weapons/ Monkeytown), which is an Electronic music trio from Berlin and probably the only Techno-Boyband worldwide. Having grown up together, they began to create all types of music made with microphones, guitars and drums in a dark, chaotic and dirty cellar at quite an early age. After getting in touch with the berlin-underground-techno-scene, days and nights started being all about music. Whether it was chopping beats on the mpc in the morning hours or studying manuals, the internet, vinyl stores and Schneiders Buero. In 2014 they signed to 50WEAPONS and have since released 3 captivating and very fresh sounding techno EPs. Modeselektor have hot tipped them to be the next big thing, because of their unique, melodic and high quality style of producing. HeCTA is the brainchild of Kurt Wagner, Ryan Norris and Scott Martin of Lambchop. Exploring and experimenting with the idea of combining the notion of 'song", elements from electronic music and a shared love of the electronic form and it's many permutations, HeCTA and the album The Diet does not sound like anything these guys have done before.

Originally released on vinyl R&S in 1994, 'Meditation Will Manifest' was re-earthed in 2016 by Nina Kraviz and Ricardo Villalobos, becoming a secret weapon on dancefloors 22 years after its original release.
Josh Wink has always been ahead of musical trends and walks his own path in dance music. From a young age Wink was exposed to different mysticism and consciousness philosophies. 'It wasn't a big, popular or trendy thing to do at the time, but I was 14 and just did what my mother did... Releasing tracks like 'Meditation Will Manifest' and 'Higher States of Consciousness', people looked at me as being this deeply profound spiritual guy, but I never really thought about it in that way, even though I'm really into repetitive, transcendental and meditative rhythms. Damian Lazarus signs another classic from the enigmatic DrumTalk, a revered producer who brings in the sublime singing talents of Josa Peit, signed to Brandt Brauer Frick's label for the invigorating and anthemic 'Lose Again'.

Championed by Gilles Peterson, Seth Troxler, Midland & Huxley of late and attracting a large, loyal and diverse following from James Holden and Skream, 'Wildcard' shows DrumTalk's sinister sneer, a techno weapon shooting to kill. 'Gamma' makes playful experiments with sounds to great effect, a unique and eloquent record that sways with grace.

DrumTalk is an East London-based producer and DJ. Inspiration comes via the musical lineage of London, Chicago, New York and Detroit, Lagos and Accra. Elements of house, techno, bass culture and the rhythms of West Africa and the Caribbean are all to be found here. His productions and remixes for More Music, Sofrito, Soundway, Get Me! and Huntleys & Palmers have been making an impact far and wide, garnering the attention and support of DJs such as James Holden, Jackmaster, Gilles Peterson and Skream, amongst a host of others.

Josa Peit is a Berlin-based singer and musician. Her debut EP is released on Brandt Brauer Frick's label The Gym Records.

Perc Trax opens its account for 2017 with the first full EP on the label from London's Manni Dee. As uncompromising in sound and as he is politically aware Manni is leading the next generation of London techno artists who continue the city's rich history of producers operating at the more extreme edge of the genre.

Lead track 'London Isn't England' is a driving, sharp-edged slice of UK techno inspired by the June 23rd referendum result. Charging forward from the moment it starts, a searing lead line and Ewa Justka's distorted vocals only add to its relentless momentum.

B1 track 'Mephi' keeps up the pressure hitting the middle ground between Perc Trax's heavy hitting sound and the more percussive output of the city's acid techno scene, whilst 'Adorable Disorder' allows a pause for breath yet still shivers with the uncertainty of the future.

Perm is one of Leipzig's most busy producers and performers of electronic music. After releases on shtum, Mana All Nite, DUR, KANN and Nachtdigital in recent years, Holger is more than happy to welcome him with a four-tracker that o ers a deep insight into his vision of timeless Techno: Airy and yet

rmly grounded, with a foggy atmosphere that permeates a vast space of sound. It is trippy and hypnotic but also very bodily and highly energetic. With these qualities it

ts very nicely with Holger 11 (Polo) and 12 (Barnt) - a perfect closer for this mini triplet series, a concept that has become sort of a trademark for the label.

London-based Rumah offers his unique take on peak time techno. After contributions earlier this year to the Wolfskuil's 1st Secret Weapons and the 20 years compilation of James Ruskin's legendary Blueprint, he's now debuting in solo on Darko Esser's Wolfskuil with his brilliant 'A View To The Sea EP.'

The EP opens with the dynamic, multilayered atmosphere of the loop driven 'A View To The Sea' followed by 'Tobsha,' which rushes in with Detroit infused riffs and echoing vocal samples.

On the flip side 'DOR' kicks off with a sinister groove and a concrete, infectious rhythm, genuinely combined with fading melodic pads. The closing track 'Brief Reel' starts off stripped to each analogue elements, slowly building up to a track perfectly suited for closing a set.

Here comes the second Blind Spot Music vinyl with some of our favourite techno artists on the board. The original track Scattered produced by the Japanese Ryuji Takeuchi and it's a proper peak time smasher. Ryuji after a few remixes is finally landing with an original track on Blind Spot Music. In the past techno fans have heared his unique style on various releases on label likes of Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Sick Weird Rough, Huehelix or his own imprint Local Sound Network.
On the remix duties are: Mallorca's techno ambassador Angel Costa, who has released on some of the most prestigious labels of the techno scene such as CLR, Electric Deluxe, Micro.fon. The German Michael Schwarz, whose unique driving-techno materials came out on Driving Forces, Wall Music, Praxxiz and at last but not least Blind Spot's very own Dr Hoffmann & Gabeen. The duo is infecting the techno scene slowly with their lethal sounds.
The Scattered EP is not for the faint-hearted, serious underground techno beats on it.

UNKNOT03 features explorations of dense and warped rhythmical textures ('Strain', 'Vapor'), combined with fast-paced and propulsive pieces ('Lockt', 'Corrosion'). The sound palette remains consistent with the previous releases, where raw synthetic sequences are deployed to shape grooves and melodic lines and to ultimately create alienating artificial soundscapes.

Yuji Kondo returns to Perc Trax for his first full EP on the label after the success of his remix of Sawf's 'Menete' a year ago. Like Sawf he relentlessly drives forward crafting his own vision of techno, blocking out as many outside influences as possible. Already gaining attention for both his Steven Porter collaborative project and his own Ducerey Ada Nexino side-project it is under his own name that Yuji releases his most uncompromising machine works.

It is almost pointless describing individual tracks from this 4-track EP, in the same way a cog should be viewed as part of a machine rather than a separate entity, but rest assured Yuji covers everything from martial 4/4 advancements to broken beat experiments here, each wrapped in just enough atmospheric sound to break up their rhythmic assault without ever taking away any of their power.

This is one of Yuji's most accomplished and high profile releases to date and comes backed up by a devastating live show that will hopefully be coming to Europe very soon...

Electronic music producer and DJ Greg Sanders AKA Distance returns with his third long player 'Dynamis', set for release through Tectonic Recordings on 21st October.

* Alongside recording 'Dynamis' over the past four years, Distance has been writing and producing for other artists including Riz MC, Jeb Loy Nichols and Jon More of Coldcut. Working with these artists helped open his mind to other styles of music and led to him veering away from his 140bpm roots. The productions of A$AP Ferg, Drake, Schoolboy Q and earlier Arca and FKA Twigs were a big influence, alongside the soundtracks of Hans Zimmer and Cliff Martinez.

* "I get inspiration from everywhere and deliberately try to ignore what is happening in the scene I'm most involved in. 'Dynamis' is influenced a lot by film scores, I have geeked out massively to create great dynamics in all of the tracks, sounds are heavily automated and processed to really give the music life."

* Even the structure of the tracks ditches the typical DJ friendly layouts and is programmed in an order that best helps to deliver the story. Some of the tracks give a subtle nod to this way of thinking - 'Sink or Swim', 'Paradigm', 'Instruction to Survive'.

* "I wanted to portray my willingness to progress and that I totally embrace the positives and negatives of change. If you stay stationary within any artform you will surely fail. I named a track "Fear Change" because most people would rather do anything other than change."

* As producer, DJ and label owner of Chestplate Records, Distance has been instigating change in music since emerging in 2003. Gathering early support from the legendary John Peel and going on to be part of the utterly seminal Dubstep Warz show on Radio 1 presented by Mary Anne Hobbs, he was a regular at seminal raves FWD, DMZ, Exodus and SUB:DUB and hosted on Rinse FM 2003-2012. With 12" releases on Tectonic and Hotflush; his first two albums 'My Demons' (2007) and 'Repercussions' (2008) were released through the respected label Planet Mu.

* "I feel very privileged to have released two albums on Planet Mu and they are still referenced by many as key albums in dubstep's history. Tectonic has been releasing my music for almost a decade, so it felt right me producing an album for the label. Pinch is a good friend and one of the few people who's opinion I trust."

* 'Dynamis' is the first Distance album to feature vocalists; helping to portray emotions, tell a story and aid the overall narrative of the album.

* "It was great recording them. When recording 'Badman' with Killa P I got him to stand as far away from the mic as possible and shout the lyric across the studio, as though he was shouting at someone across the street. We were cracking up at the time. I then used these recordings to create multiple layers and textures to his vocal, this gave the impression of there being a huge crowd of people chanting the chorus. Beezy was also a great artist to work with. We were done recording in about 20 minutes, he's so professional and knows exactly how to deliver the vocals the way I need them."

* The album's title is an ancient word: the original Greek meaning "heart, drive, power" and in English "the state of that which is not yet fully realized".

* "I always want my music to take you somewhere. Because I am experimenting more in sound design and tempo, I thought 'Dynamis' was perfect. In a sense I was trying to create something new. At the beginning of the process it hadn't yet been realised. Maybe only once it has been released and heard by the public it will be."

Soma's Italian connection, Roberto Clementi, makes a welcome return opening his 2016 account with the solid, Wall Of People. The Zenker Brothers remix opens the EP as the Munich based duo lend their deep and highly refined production talents to Wall Of People. Ruptured beats play havoc with a shimmering high end and rattling percussive elements all tied in with a pulsing, modulating synth hook that keep the track feeling fairly dark. Clementi's original shows a much harder edge to his previous work with big, sub heavy beats worked around a more pumped up rhythm and tearing synth line

Ryogo Yamamori announced the start of a new imprint called Kagerou in 2017, which focus on both digital and analogue releases. First cut Ryogo'ssolo Shakunetsu E.P. is this low-key Tokyo veteran techno artist's most ethereal work yet.

Panorama Bar regular Bwana unites his dual loves of vintage '90s electro and classic progressive trance on this three track EP for Dusky's 17 Steps label. Achieving widespread critical acclaim with last year's techno homage to the Akira soundtrack - 'Capsules Pride' - on LuckyMe, Bwana has since released EPs on his club ready home Aus and Fort Romeau's Cin Cin, as well as appearing on 17 Steps with a cult remix of Dusky's 'Ingrid Is a Hybrid' - itself something of a Panorama Bar favourite.
On this EP, the illustrious producer presents three contrasting but cohesive tracks in the dark acidic 'Three Way Is The Hard Way', hypnotic dark trance builder 'Hell Is Other Robots' and classic electro homage 'On Patrol For Their Control'. Completing the package, the inimitable Avalon Emerson bends 'Three Way Is The Hard Way' into a glitchy, percussive groover that builds crunchy layers of dark drums around the original's twisted sonics.

Camea returns with the second release on her Neverhwere imprint, titled 'Signs'. Made for the stars and just for you, she has also invited two great producers, Ian Pooley (Innervisions, Pooled Music) and André Kronert (Figure, Stockholm LTD) for remixes. As usual with Camea, she likes to seek all of the beautiful things in between, and this EP takes you around the spectrum from a magical sunrise to a dark, pulsing rave cave.

Now living in Warsaw, Donnell Knox was well known, along with Black Nation's Jay Denham for forging a tough, distinct Kalamazoo techno sound in the 90s. His label, Sonic Mind, put out some very coveted, underground wax that still sounds unique, extra rugged, and fresh. Well D-Knox is now on a bit of a comeback mission it seems, with some really inspiring new material, and 'Africa Calling'. The first version, created to Donnell's much loved 'Spirit Man' alias, is a soulful trek through layers of pads and emotive synth work. The simple, but uplifting, vocal snippet really gives it an organic and spiritual feel, the tempo is driving and quick, but the overall vibe is laid back and deep.
Remixes come from the likes of Brooklyn based Titonton Duvante, who maximizes a synth pattern to a form a beautiful, reaching, version, while Canada'a Rennie Foster channels his Futago Traxx style to present a full on tribal, drum based mix with added vocal pieces. Also, Detroit transplant, now living in Canada as well, J Garrett goes in with a very emotional, warm, string laden take. The EP is capped off with another version from Donnell that could stand as it's own track really, a totally different, but equally as strong, version featuring a driving baseline and Detroit style string vamps.

The latest transmission from the world of Gunnar Haslam, Kalaatsakia wildly sprawls across the intersections of techno and more abstract sounds to take us on a wideranging journey from the subterranean to the coastal, from blown-out dub tones through fractured rhythms. An incredible work that is not easy to pigeonhole, Kalaatsakia is a full length album that navigates and sketches landscapes where new languages are created from old, dead ones to emerge as the lingua franca of interconnected immersive zones.

Haslam is an avid home listener of dub, dancehall and calypso, and that influence is quickly felt as Kalaatsakia launches with a tight electro snap and dubwise crash. Kalaatsakia advances and retreats seasonally, tightening up for the floor with the chrome-plated 'Broadcast' and 'Kjolle' while splintering apart on 'Kalapuyan' and 'nxbound'. Its constituent parts are often left to collapse in on themselves, smearing themes into residual trails. As the narrative of the album disintegrates and unfolds into more deconstructed territory, it stretches out even further with a striking skittering mental tease, settling into burbling sub-audible vocals and resonant spaces that all form a part of Haslam's self-created subconscious language.

Eldritch electro-acoustic explorer and uncompromising sound artist Luke Younger aka
Helm presents his first new material since casting the subterranean concrète psychedelia
of his 'Impossible Symmetry' album for PAN across end-of-year lists in 2012 and
petrifying numerable witnesses to his granite-hewn live set.
Issued as a split release between PAN and his own Alter label, 'Silencer' documents
four studio actions conducted in the wake of his renowned LP, charting the alchemical
relationships between base, stripped down rhythms, cruddy electronics and acousmatic
source material manipulated on cassette tapes. The magic of these four tracks lies in the
curious sense of detachment and friction between those fractured, awkwardly reactive
elements, klanging flinty drums against detuned, cryptic synth scrabble and buckled tape
FX to create charged and metaphysically affective atmospheres intended to corrode and
infect your listening space.
The title track follows a tumbling line of inquiry between primal percussive clatter and
salted, scratching synth drones into the boggy, noxious ambience and quaking bass slap
of 'Mirrored Palms', which features a desolate, sustained peal of foghorn brass from John
Hannon of Liberez. In the tunnel of 'Bergamo', effluent rhythms and vapourous brown
gases deliver a cold, claggy soundsphere, with Barrow-based multi-instrumentalist Tom
James Scott contributing metallic scrape to the para-dimensional murk and insectoid
shivers of 'The Haze'.

We welcome UK's rising star Jordan Peak on board for his first fully fledged techno release. Jordan has been making waves ever since his entrance on the international circuit in 2011 and with releases on Bass Culture and Robsoul a.o. his future is looking bright. Jordan's first steps into purist techno territory appear more like giant leaps. All four tracks sound like he is been making techno tunes for years, an extraordinary display of his talent. Black Paint kicks of a funk fuelled groove accompanied by modern day dub stabs and fx programming. Follow up Crocodile Tears brings memories of early Slam/Soma records to mind, updated to 2014.

Osiris Music UK present 'e´migre´', the debut LP from label stalwart Killawatt. It signifies three years of stylistic evolution in his sound, from the earlier spaced out percussive dubstep into a sub-bass centred amalgamation of electronica, techno and UK aesthetics.

From Killawatt: 'There is no great story or overly pretentious concept behind this album. It's probably the most natural record I've written in so far in that it just sort of happened without really thinking about it. Most of the tracks on the LP were experiments in things like granular synthesis and weird sample processing that were never intended to become finished pieces, they were filling the space between everything I was trying to write, and all that music I was intentionally writing subsequently got scrapped! Though an unorthodox method of writing an album, it's turned out to be a fruitful, varied and very satisfying one.'

'e´migre´' will be released digitally, and as a double LP on orange and black marbled vinyl containing 8 of the 12 tracks from the record. A free download of the full record is also included with every physical copy.

'Double A' renders Russell at his slyest and most honest, presenting spasmodic, un-edited improvisations belying influence from the pivotal epoch of diamond-cut '80s freestyle, industrial and Detroit techno. Depending on your perspective, they're either splintered, tetchy DJ tools or skeletal nO!se inversions. Either way, they bristle and spark with a compulsive nervous energy and disciplined impulse control that's Haswell to the core: challenging, uncompromising and bloody crucial. On the A-side, 'Foxy' sparks manic hi-hat chatter and bruxist squall masticated with unpredictable intensity, angled and affective like a box of knock-off fireworks hoyed at the 'floor. Following on from Anetha's 'Ophiuchus' EP last year, Work Them Records founder Spencer Parker has compiled a remix package featuring himself and French techno stalwart Antigone.
A key component in the thriving Parisian techno scene, Anetha is a resident at monthly party series BLOCAUS.
Spencer reworks 'Drive With A Dead Girl', incorporating punchy kicks and shuffling hats before the original's
mesmerising arpeggios come into effect.
On the other hand Antigone distorts 'Black Widow' beyond recognition by blending fuzzy atmospherics with a cavernous
808 and glitchy hook.

Juan Rico, a.k.a. Reeko and a handful of other aliases, is a consistent and reliable ambassador of a Spanish techno scene that has brought us everything from Oscar Mulero to Tadeo. In his Architectural guise (which is also the name of his personal releasing imprint), Rico has developed a penchant for perfectly interlocking sonic elements and for a structural sensibility that delivers on the promises of advanced engineering implied by his artist's pseudonym. The first result of his new alliance with the Wolfskuil label is a full LP that dispenses with the formalities of 'introducing' listeners to the artist, and simply dives straight in to depths of his active mind.

So just what type of 'architecture' is in store for listeners on this album One immediately gets the impression of something massive and towering, yet open to the elements and with a fascinating view of the surrounding landscape for miles around. This feel comes through especially clear on the opening "Aura", the poignant and chorally inflected "Il Mare," and the closing "Sentir" (in which a voice repeatedly intones "I'm looking down" to emphasize the feeling of being a visitor to a world of imagined architecture). In Rico's imaginary structures you can feel both the wind on your face and the steady, unfaltering pulse of the power grid. This is the case for the remarkably colorful "Lacrimosa," which is powered by a 'vintage futuristic' solo synth singing over a backing chorus of chopped and chattering electric current. It also holds true for "Delicatezza," in which a huge, yawning orchestral swell repeatedly crashes down like ocean waves upon the supporting structure of Rico's techno towers.

These moments of cinematic and climactic beauty would, on their own, be enough material for an outstanding record, but there is still more: tracks like "Sapphire" evince a more straightforward hypnotic techno approach (only relatively speaking, though: in Rico's hands a "straightforward" track is still one that uses atmospheric subtleties, organic effects and a balanced EQ mix to maintain a healthy distance from more conformist exercises.) When Rico truly gives himself room to stretch out - as on the epic "Amour" - he also shows how easily he can turn the challenge of a lengthy track into an opportunity for more innovation and further elaboration of his key concepts. This track acts very much as the centerpiece of the LP, morphing from a scintillating piece of celestial ambience to a busy groove train loaded with a cargo of unexpected percussive and melodic fills.

For listeners who value both lush musical dreamscapes and hard excursions into concrete reality, the new Architectural LP will be the perfect antidote to the conventional album, and a welcome companion for their own journeys into new dreams and realities.

Bastion of the Parisian underground scene and Circoloco resident at DC10, Dijon-born DJ W!LD is a longstanding figure who has remained true to his roots since the outset. Having been responsible for an array of over 300 records on some of the most respected labels around, W!LD founded his own imprint 'W' in 2010. W!LD has since exercised an unrestrained artistic vision and output on the label. This has culminated in the forthcoming release of his album 'Techno City,' W!LD's first album in over two years, and a noticeably darker and more stripped back offering than the disco-fuelled production of his last LP 'When You Feel Me.' DJ W!LD's brand of techno is certainly unique. Swathed in sparse melodies and luscious pads, W!LD's airtight machine funk is a minimal orchestra of 808s, 909s and incisive sample use. Being both inherently danceable and listenable, DJ W!LD's 'Techno City' LP is a purposeful and coherent opus that works both as a whole and individually, as club tracks. With cutting edge production and rich aesthetics, W!LD carries the listener through an array of expansive hues, crescendos and cinematic atmospheres,
all underlined by a throbbing sub bass.
This pure 4/4 techno offering from the French veteran undertakes an ethos of simplicity that is as refreshing as it is clinical. 'Love on the Beat' sets the tone from the first kick drum as the swelling bass line glides into 'Time to Say Goodbye,' a deft piano break later and 'Street Religion' serves up a sweeping disco-synth groove. 90s influenced 'Americana' rolls into the hedonism of 'Aimer et C'est Tout' before the cinematic, floor filling title track 'Techno City' jacks up the energy. 'All Night' provides light relief before dialling up the energy into the acid-tinged 5am roller 'Talking With Hoffman.' The climax brings us to the undeniable club track on the LP 'King Hit,' an orchestra of snare rolls, emotive pads and
