Orbis X is a sublabel of Orbis Records and will be mainly focusing on softer yet often usable as DJ material for the broader mass interested in Electronic music. This sublabel is an extension of Orbis Records' softer, more melodical and experimental side. Music will be ranging from house, dub, chicago over melodic acid and even breaks. Not any track makes it to this sublabel if it can't stand on its own and stand the test of time!

Maik Richter was born 02.02.1987 in Karl-Marx-Stadt / Chemnitz / Germany. He lives in Switzerland since 6 years.
In 2005 Maik Richter gets his first appearances as Live-Act... Professional Music Production is the order of Maik R. The project is going to professional song composition but in which live performance will remain further a component. The sound of Maik R budges to minimalistical domains - the contrary to beginning of its musical representation. Gentleless and deep pressure sounds are significant for Maik's musical interpretation - the music should be stimulating you for dreaming. For new inspirations Maik R. leaves himself by other artists and external influences (e.g. society, nature) to enrich.

Known from his debut on Orbis Records, Grg is back with his typical warm & analog sound, we appreciate very much!
Born and raised in the GDR, today East Germany, Grg started making music in '94 using analog Equipment.
early 1995, he already played live-sets with 2 friends as Ensemble Acid Paul and later as "grg" on his own. He released on TeKknik Experimental and EAP records.
Still producing with the amazing MPC3k, he never focused on one single Genre. "it's just Electronic Music" he told us. A modest guy.

The B-side is a melodic beauty. No words needed. Grg pur sang!
"Leidenschaft" is very dreamy soundscape based on smooth dub rhythm. Gentle, Subtle. Amazing. An ideal track to open or close the dancefloor. A secret weapon for laid-back moments with friends and a good glass of red wine.
"Klangbaum" feels like a statement. Deep, Dark, Swiss dub. Great stuff if you like the deeper side of dubby tracks.
On the B-side, "Chroma": a track that starts as a very basic yet surprising arrangement evolves in a very clean and sharp gentle melodic danceable track. Works on the floor as well in the background having dinner with openminded and electronic enthusiastic friends.
The second track "Fuer Pe Mi" could be categorized under trance, but it isn't. It's just an amazing track full of warm feelings. A track Grg wrote to celebrate the love between his and his wife. We're very honored he's willing to share this track with the rest of the world. Big respect.

After the great debut of some month ago, Spectral Rebel is ready to return with another massive release, this time signed by a further coming up artist in the techno scene: Manuel Di Martino. Known for his leaning for an old school rugged way of interpret productions and sets, Manuel shows us his acidest side in a one-sided 12inch vinyl, accompanied by the new young revelation of our times, the composer, arranger and pianist Raffaele Attanasio, making this second release, an absolute masterpiece.
'Raw Intentions' isn't only the release title, but the perfect concise description of the entire incision. The original one starts with a simply running nocturnal rhythm hard and chary at the same time but, after a while, give off, almost as a surprise, its real soul, an incessant flooding river of acid stabs, angry bites which rain in a fluctuating progress inducing any individual on the dance floor to deal with an huge sharp wall of sound waves. Raffaele Attanasio put his sign on with an unique and nonpareil version, combining both his distinctive mark of piano artist and his 'raw' soul represented by his alias X501. Almost heard several times in his live sets, this work is recognizable for the mathematically combination of overdrived harsh kicks crossed by acid stabs, all broked suddenly by a melodically solo piano touch which puts you in a short deep dream. Finally 'V3' closes the EP as a digital bonus original track that confirms the acid taste of the release with an hammering pulsing drum kit worthy of the oldest techno tunes.

In 1994 an untitled 12' EP emerged from Helsinki, Finland. It was produced by an unknown duo called Coopers and released by DUM records.
That particular squelchy sounding piece of wax helped to establish the sound that was later to be known as Finnish minimal techno.Alongside Sähkö Recordings, DUM was one of the mainstays of gloomy northern electronics until its death in 2007.
After an extremely long hiatus both DUM Records and Coopers have now resurrected and instead of their trademark minimalism they offer now a 3-piece ep full of techno maximality! 'Indian Acid' is a wonky excursion in repetition topped with Roland Corporation's classical TR-727 congas, 'Ixam' takes you back to the soundscapes of 90's dreary Finnish acid and 'Maximal Fun' is a 12-minute trip to the electronic kraut techno madness of the Coopers. Play loud and preferably in dark.Coopers are back with a vengeance!

Organism celebrates by pressing up a standout EP by Simone Tavazzi. The Italian's originals get remixed by Bodyscrub & Pascal Nuzzo and complete what are four tracks of excellently direct techno.
Tavazzi has been active since the 90s and taking inspiration from French acid techno, house, Detroit, electro and minimal, he has released on Material Series, Perc Trax and Loose Records and is well known amongst revered techno DJs who often reach for his tracks.
'Riddle' opens the account with a blisteringly fierce effort that is built on hard drums, is fleshed out with gravelly synths and has kicking percussion driving it along. It's a sweeping track that pushes aside all in its wake and will have dancefloors marching along willingly.
Bodysrcub & Pascal Nuzzo opt to strip things back to warmer, more rubbery textures and serve up a subliminally hypnotic roller as a result. Pricks of synth, huge hi hat ringlets and distant sirens join at various stages and only add to the thrill of the ride.
Next comes 'Pursuit', a rollercoaster of a cut, with frictionless grooves, cavernous, reverb heavy chords and nervy pads all making for the sort of thing that makes a huge impact in a dark room with a great system.
Lastly, 'Cage' is another one that builds to a crescendo with blurting, malfunctioning machine sounds, cantering drums and incendiary percussion all growing in stature and consuming your mind and body alike.
Few labels get out of single figures yet !Organism have made it to sixty releases strong without even slightly compromising on their pure techno vision.

The MNS X series returns for its 4th issue after a blistering John Heckle EP with one from the Spainard mystic: Eduardo De La Calle. Featuring full EPs from the label artists, the MNS X series plays in the field of the analog, acid and techno. For this, Eduardo De La Calle has put forward a tougher stance from his other silky productions, heading into the rough, analogue and raw terrain for Midnight Shift. The result packs a punch, rounded up with a remix by Hodge. Getting straight into business out of his Ashram studio is 'Roswell Case' on A1. A relentless pulsating and slithering acid bassline anchors the raw and percussive track, making it a peak-time earworm roller that will resonate across dancefloors. 'Synthesized Priorities' takes the respectable second position and is another builder where the soul of the machine makes itself heard amidst a temple of ethic drumming. What is it spelling out to you Don't get hypnotised! On the flip, the title track 'Mexican Madness' gets the Hodge aka Jacob Martin remix treatment, turning the opening synth groove into an all-out rugged union jack. Fire and another winning move from the Bristolian producer. B2 goes to the original 'Mexican Madness', a twisted journey into the chaotic mind, led by an analogue synth and its friends. Get dizzy standing in the Mexican heat, as the crowd noise builds and claps around you. Too much tequila can just about begin to describe this peculiar product, waiting to wreck insane havoc on the floor.

The Breaking New Soil series reaches Vol.7 and is set to prove, once again, just why its presented Gregor Tresher's label with some of its most popular and successful releases to date. 

Previous instalments have introduced a number of new artists alongside many of our label favourites. #7 features a full Break New Soil dream-team in the shape of  Patrick Siech, Maxime Dangles, Per Hammar and Gregor Tresher & Petar Dundov.

First up is Patrick Siech with the moody, prowling 'Return'. "I've been playing this for a couple of months now" says Gregor. "Its one of those tracks that really lifts the floor if you drop it at the right time."

Maxime Dangles makes a much anticipated return to the label with 'BBA'. "I'm so happy to have Maxime back on the label. His Lyoc track has been a real highlight of our entire catalogue and i'm a real fan of his amazing music. With BBA he's delivered once again."

Following up their mighty Taurus single from earlier this year, Gregor and Petar Dudov have returned to the studio to create yet another dancefloor gem. Elegant and anthemic, 'Cosmic Serpent' is everything we've come to expect from the pair. "Personally I don't believe in talking too much about my own music. So i'll leave it to you... enjoy." 

The collection is closed by a track that's actually been a regular opener for Gregor's own sets, Per Hammar's 'Cloaker'. "It's all about the menacing intro on this new number from Per and thats why its become a favourite for me."

Standbite Music surprises us once again with a very solid techno EP. Fatima Hajji selects the artists she's likes the most and looks not at style but to quality which results in a once again very diverse EP featuring killer tracks from all techno genre's. Syberian is a new pattern by Sergey Yakovlev. As his first project called Gedevaan this another also focused and keep on the fine tune electronic music entering deeper to techno, house and experimental constructions among them. Syberian is pitched hypnotic, cosmogonic shade of melancholy which sincerely looks on the world background. It has an authentic perception imprint and a set of sedate witness. The first release by Syberian 'An Object by a Human Being' contains four basic tracks.

Opening with 'God Race Female' which gloomy drifts you with a distant fibrous structures. Industrial howl and clave push stream over dope endless barrel strokes. That is sound what reach out to a child inside a female womb.

Next one is 'Male of Human Race' with a resilient stained beat that works with onground greasy texture. Ambient flutter set you a synthetic tranquil mood.

On a flip side 'Secret Alien Video Tape' is a kind of hypnotic and scholastic spacewrap abyss. Drag inland thru distortions and imaginary vortexes your mind still contemplates.

Conclusive back to the home track 'Harmonic 343' is game way to keep junctions with a physical world. Body is only part of a human. Understanding the principles supply the workflow.

30drop deepens in the mystique of Sacred Geometry with its second release, Vortex Resonance EP. Based on the theoretical and intentional, but not formal, Techno foundational precepts, a deliberately contemporary stylistic overdevelopment is build. This time, we find four cuts that highlight the rhythm in view if the Space dance floor. Beating pulses are interwoven with cosmic atmospheres to travel beyond our planetary borders.

This is the debut release from London duo Dark Circles who first emerged on the scene with their remix of Future Four's Into Orbit ( Future Four - Into Orbit (Dark Circles Remix) (PH23RMX) ) getting play from the likes of Andy Weatherall, Gerd Jansen and Krystal Klear.

The 3 track EP has already featured on Erol Alkan's first ever Boiler Room set, George Fitzgerald's BBC Radio 1 Residency, and the Justin Robertson Mixmag live show. Here's your chance to sample the EP before a forthcoming limited vinyl run and the start of the duo's own DCTrax label.

Edition 282 marks the long awaited debut of Manuel Anós aka Psyk on the expansive and honorable Tresor Records catalog.
The Madrid-based producer had previously released a single track 'Jackin' under the alias Maan back in 2012 on DJ Deep's Kern Vol. 01 compilation.
Psyk takes the stage with a four-track solo EP 'Works', also including a digital bonus track. On both side's first positions - with 'Definition' and 'Balance' - Psyk delivers electrifying tracks teetering on the boundaries of hypnosis.
On the inner-rims, Psyk slows down the pace with 'Stigma' and 'Lowdown', introducing some industrial tones to his techno equation.

Church's next offering comes from Wolfey & Project Pablo. Out January 15th, Limited Vinyl.

On 16 October 2015, a collective of London's most creative and celebrated young artists release their debut track, Death Drive. The single is a co-release from The Vinyl Factory, the foremost British label collaborating with artists and musicians, and HYMN, artist Eddie Peake's record label, founded with VF.

Death Drive is a peak-time electronic club track that features Eddie Peake, Prem Sahib and George Henry Longly (Anal House Meltdown) on both production and vocals, and co-produced by long time collaborator Tim Goalen; inspired by and invoking the heady dance floors of their Anal House Meltdown parties, the pounding excitement of long nights at Berghain, the legendary Berlin club, and intense but fleeting romantic trysts facilitated by clubs and parties. Resident Berghain DJ and producer Fiedel has created a remix that will also feature on the release.

The accompanying cover artwork by the trio features a group of the artists' lovers and friends, and the video, produced by AHMD, has been created from footage shot on the dancefloor of their parties.

Peake, Sahib and Longly are three of the most exciting artists working in the UK today, and this project will coincide with Frieze 2015, during which they will launch the release with a party at Corsica Studios as part of a collaborative club night with Chapter 10. October 8th also sees Peake reveal his new commission for The Curve in the Barbican, and Sahib will open a solo show at the ICA on 23 September.

AHMD say: 'We wanted to create a track that both embodies the spirit of our club night, Anal House Meltdown, and that we would love to play at it. We wanted it to have an epic and odyssey like feeling. As such we knew we wanted it to be over ten minutes long and to have several different phases, but to be unified by a constantly charged sense of sexual and romantic longing."

Taped Artifact label boss Kevin Arnemann is back on his own label with a new three track EP. It marks only the Dutchman's third release-the second on his own label after an EP from Natan H-but is a truly deep and atmospheric offering that takes its cues from many different sounds and scenes.

Locked Groove's third release on his eponymous label sees the Belgian deliver an intense and driving two tracker.
Following his memorable collaboration with Mind Against and a track on Life and Death's Some Things Rise compilation, End/Scherzo reveals a dark rêverie.
'End", with its haunting, hypnotizing synths, pulls you deeper and deeper into the vortex while 'Scherzo' brings you back up for air with its lively play of arpeggios and crescendos.
End/ Scherzo arrives on December 11th on both physical and digital formats, while both previous Locked Groove Records releases will be made available digitally for the first time on the same date.

The Vinyl Factory has teamed up with French label Zone for another rugged techno four tracker, this time from close associate and well established production talent Maelstrom.

Though his name suggests total chaos, Maelstrom's music belies intention, focus and precision. Often marked as 'exciting newcomer' to French techno, Maelstrom has actually been making music for over fifteen years. With a cryptic history of aliases and side projects, illegal raves thrown in warehouses and fields and basements, the artist has really come into his own under this moniker.

The 'Optics' EP showcases metallic techno, acid house, industrial noise and stark ambient sounds, forging smokey machine music for those with a penchant for post punk and a soft spot for the spikier end of the techno spectrum.

A dynamic techno-leaning EP from member of the well-regarded electronic trio Circle Traps w/Jack Wylie & Duncan Bellamy of Portico. A melodic, dark, & dance floor-driven release for PGH producer/DJ/promoter crew.

Lee Gamble strikes from the void with Chain Kinematics; the 1st release on his UIQ Inversions series - exclusively reserved for personal productions, and intended to run parallel and perpendicular to UIQ proper, which has heavily impressed with early 12's by N1L and ZULI since emerging in 2015.This is Lee Gamble upping the dynamics and heading into new realms at the intersection of jungle tekno ballistics and ambient dimensions, providing UIQ with its most forward, heady, and hard-to-classify material, and possibly best representing the delirium and oneiric appeal of Gamble's incredible DJ sets.Dovetailing the artist's interests in astrophysics, geometry and the dancefloor's mechanical systems, Chain Kinematics presents four powerful studies for bodies in motion and students of the future; bending time, light and space between 004's mutated percussive dimensions and the thizzing warehouse wormholes of For Infernomatics, the suspended proprioceptions of Kinematics's emulation of a night flight thru Gamble's glittering grey matter, through to the helter skelter torque of Cnull, ending proceedings with what sounds like a bombed-out building site and a helicopter flying past...Hear for yourself; they're undoubtedly some of Lee Gamble's strongest, layered and developed dancefloor productions, awaiting your immersion and collision with compatible trajectories and objects from all quarters of the 'floor and beyond.

'Prepare to commit the name Najem Sworb to memory' commanded Philip Sherburne when he reviewed the Strasbourger's previous record for Resident Advisor. It wasn't a hard ask, Sworb makes some pretty incredible stuff.
Known by some for his fantastic release on the now defunct Ai records and famous 'Renow Ep' on Clone Basement Series (was
supported by Josh Wink, Rod, Cassy etc.), Najem makes his debut here on Technorama records!. Swaying to the UK sound, this EP clearly targets the Dancefloor, delivering four genuine techno tracks structured with the trippy spacey savour that Najem is known for... Enjoy !.

Vasumitra is built around static drum-kicks and a pulsating bassline countered by atmospheric and murky synth progressions; its repetitive and body-thumping structure rolls deep.
Nublando o Ar rips it from the get-go, with a hyper-funked groove that manages to sustain its rugged-pace and entrancing impact all the way. In the title track Feitiço, Seixlack succeeds in artfully juxtaposing banging riddims with jazzed-out, infectious chords leading nicely to the fourth cut, re-crafted by the mighty Miltiades, with a deep-rooted and slow-burner of a meditation.

Making the jump from the cassette deck to the turntable for Jheri Tracks number 3 is Sias. Coming with a three track ep of two intense skewered techno tracks - Daba and the title track Milk Harbour - bookended by the wave fuzz of 4-7-8.

We are proud to introduce you our release number six, this is our first Various Artists featuring the cream of the crop in the spanish techno scene. Chords are the main component in this four tracks, deep techno is the style and the makers are Architectural, UnCUT, Eduardo de La Calle and The Transhumans.

Opening A side, Architectural kicks in with Lightning Conductor, a sonic journey thru the deepest side of techno, solid kick drum and hipnotic sequences
are joined by lush and liquid chords and pads that evolve and change constantly during the arrangement creating a dynamic piece of intelligent music as only Juan Rico can make.

On the second cut, the misterious duo UnCUT provide one of their deepest exercises with Deviant, fat kicks again, solid chords, sharp percussions and melodic pads all arranged on a complex timeline that constantly moves and changes.

On B side, Eduardo de la Calle provides an alogue rythm fuelled chord odissey on Under Divinity Laws, as always with this producer, rawness and deepness join together in harmony with a solid step into tradition.

Closing the release, another hidden duo, The Transhumans, sign Food for Silicon Beings, A solid rhythm beat for starting soon joined by subbass frequencies, pads and of course chords, effected and twisted wisely on a complex arrangement.

From a sporadic late-nineties outlet for the work of label founder David Sumner aka Function and his contemporaries, Infrastructure has re-emerged in the last two years as a busy and consistent platform for modern electronic music. Re-launching with a collaboration between Sumner and long-time colleague Ed Davenport aka Inland, the pair released Function/Inland's ambient techno EP 'Odeon / Rhyl' as INF-012 in May of 2014, marking a new wave of material on the label which had been dormant since Sumner's first material on Sandwell District emerged in 2007.
In the two years following the pair have orchestrated 10 vinyl releases, including a debut album by Techno anonym Post Scriptum, two singles from young avant-garde composer Campbell Irvine, a double pack reissue of classic acid pioneer-tracks from Mark Archer's Trackman guise, a crossover single by Cassegrain & Tin Man, and more. Both Post Scriptum and Campbell Irvine released their debut material on Infrastructure, discovering and promoting new raw talent is high on the agenda.
Now Infrastructure introduces it's next milestone - Facticity. A 4 x 12'' vinyl box set, CD and digital format compilation featuring 15 tracks by key artists, label colleagues and new faces. Facticity represents the foundations of what Infrastructure stands for - a manifesto for 2016 and beyond.
Function, Inland, Function/Inland, Campbell Irvine, Post Scriptum, Cassegrain & Tin Man, Rrose, Efdemin, Vatican Shadow, Silent Servant, Blue Hour, Steve Bicknell and Cleric all feature, spinning a narrative ranging from lush, ambient electronics and post-club diversions, to contemporary club techno and back again.
Infrastructure regularly works with up-and-coming artists on cover artwork. Respected young Swiss artist Julian Charrière provided the iconic greyscale cover for Post Scriptum's debut LP (INF-020), and London based photographer Guy Archard's work featured on Campbell Irvine's 'Reunion of Two Bodies' Maxi-EP (INF-018).
Now the celebrated British fine-artist Robert NcNally has been invited to submit original artwork for Facticity. Selected by Jake and Dinos Chapman to show work at the prestigious Flowers Gallery in London, and commissioned by Damien Hurst to provide work for his private collection, Robert's incredibly detailed large scale pencil drawings are attracting serious interest in the modern art world.
McNally's cover image was selected from a series of works based on adapted antique post cards. Its anti-establishment, censorship-related overtones are clear to see, as is the stark use of contrast - thick layers obscure the fading original, re-appropriating it. Setting the tone for this carefully compiled collection of new music, rich in subtexts and sub-genres, a special edition print of the cover artwork will be included in the first 500 copies of Facticity.

* As the first in a 3 part series of EPs, the Forgetting EP kicks things off in idiosyncratic style - widescreen, emotive and textured - Djrum weaves a wonderful web of unspoken, yet melodically powerful narative over 4 tracks. First up is Forgetting, taking inspiration from London's Grime scene, with carefully crafted vocal samples adorning a haunting and spacious underbelly of harp appregio.Projection is an absorbing piece of classical piano, a hypnotic cyclical motif lends a feeling of a heavy love affair, both passion and heartbreak in one. Induction is the understated powerhouse amoungst the chill, a rolling 160bpm cascade of syncopated drums and percusion with a raw mid range synth providing a grunt admist the washes of celestial echoes. Concluding the EP is Forgetting Coda, a fitting outro, departing as gracefully as it entered.

Here comes the second editon of NuLabel in vinyl after the success of Alexander Dniel's Kingdom EP.

This time Energun signs 'Resolution EP' with two original tracks accompanied by Croatian Miss Sunshine's and Italian MTD's remixes.

The original version of 'Resolution' presents a track of heavy beats, schizophrenic rhythm and forceful techno in its pure essence.

MTD proposes a remix of 'Resolution' full of intriguing and explosive sounds, with a powerful base and an ambient that seems to be peaceful although it is actually a bombing.

The Belarusian Energun repeats the same formula in 'Failure' and he shows another track with a very strong base, full of aggressive beats and hypnotic loops that replay in the middle of a raw storm of massive techno proposed by Energun.

Finally Miss Sunshine closes this NuLabel's second release on vinyl with a remix of 'Failure', icy, almost phantasmagoric sound that immerses us into an atmosphere packed of vocals, explosions and keyboards as twisted as brilliant.

Debut release on Uto Karem's imprint Agile Recordings from the new balkan rising star Mladen Tomic. A string of high-ranking releases and remixes for techno's major players has propelled him on top of stack.

'Singularity' is the third single from New Order's critically acclaimed hit album 'Music Complete'. The track has been highlighted as one of the standout tracks from the album and is now being released as on CD single, 12' and Digital Download with an exclusive remix package. Remixes are provided by Erol Alkan, Mark Reeder, and JS Zeiter. There is also an extended 12' mix of 'Tutti Frutti' by Tom Rowlands which was previously given away free to fans on New Years Eve

The second release of CRS ltd. is signed by VSK and enhanced by an edit of Vilix. The two original tracks take place in the same room and they develop in two different way the same industrial machines elegant chant, some of those from afar, some of those closer.

On the A side we find, enjoying the loneliness of 45 rpm, the track '9mm' : the impetum carries since the beginning trough a rythmic and repetitive dance with slight recalls to the tribal rituality and to the solemnity of religious functions. A dancefloor killer without margin of failure.

On the flipside we find '94', a disturbing arrangement of the machine dance, a broken beat, full of groove, matched with a pure noise coreoghraphy and caressed sometimes by tonal elements that donate air and reduce the claustrophobic feeling that comes up in the initial part.

Vilix works on the samples of 9mm, bringing it back to a more human dimension. The machine is still there but is far and the movement of the groove and the epicness of the atmosphere keep alive the human presence. The perfect conclusion, the sound of the man's payback on the machines.

Cliques—the collaborative project of Sydney, Australia based Hamish Dixon and George Nicholas—fuse rolling techno momentum with a sound system focus, culminating in innovative and heavyweight dance floor material.Having steadily built a strong reputation for themselves, with crucial early support from DJ Oneman, and to date they've released on Aquatic Lab, as well as a track on the most recent Tempa Allstars ('AUT' - Tempa Allstars Vol.8). They now move on to their first solo project for Tempa, the 'Dotted' EP.Title track 'Dotted' sees Cliques take their sparse productions to the limit, focusing on the core elements: intricate drum programming, an intense bassline and a tightly wound melody. The unrelenting melody ramps up in intensity, mutating and taking on a life on it's own and propelling the track ever forward. 'Untitled' features an equally paranoiac soundscape, the skittering hats and bassline giving way to a melancholic breakdown, before resuming the unrelenting pressure.The flip sees fellow Australian producer Dro Carey remix 'Dotted'. With releases on labels such as Trilogy Tapes, Ramp and Greco Roman, Carey brings the same dancefloor aesthetic, mutating the melody of the original even further, the broken drum patterns playfully switching up and releasing the tension.Finally '8th' rounds off the EP with something more relatable to the early Tempa back catalogue, the swung drums and murky atmospheres a fine tribute to the early work of pioneers El-B and Horsepower Productions.

Although the artist has spent 2015 honing the discographies of his other projects, Ravers' comes after a silent year for the D. Carbone moniker which in turn gives it all the more impact. The Class of '87' DJ and producer's first mini-album is dedicated to everyone interested in the ecstatic sounds of 90's rave culture.

On Ravers', D. Carbone distances himself from the functional perception that techno indicates a fairly narrow tempo range. Instead, he approaches it more freely by returning to earlier formulations. The speed is higher than on the artist's previous releases, varying from 137 to 160 BPM. So though the entire range here is faster than most current techno-tendencies, the scope is also wide. It is about pushing the envelope and rejecting limitations. The notion of rushing is central to Carbone who describes ideal techno as body music' - a powerfully energetic mantra-resembling medium for dancers to loose control to. Letting go of restraints is reflected in the tracks that have been jammed out free of structural rigidness. Meanwhile, sound-wise Ravers' is classic D. Carbone: Noisy and acidic industrial techno where every single sound in the mix is subject to heavy distortion.

At a tempo of 137 BPM, opener Jerk' is most in line with the artist's past releases using a 4/4 kick pattern, ravey hihats, 808 claps, 101 bass line, pulse synth as well as string pads that recall early Warp Records anthems. On following cut Orius', the tempo is jacked up to 152 BPM and the mini-album properly begins to unravel as a distinct entity for Carbone. Here, a bug-like acid line meets gabber-style kicks, metallic cymbals, intensity-heightening toms, a hoover' synth and noise pads. On Space Journey 1171' we travel through the infinite to the sound of a beeping space shuttle, trancey synths, grainy beats, guitar-reminiscent tremolo pads and a fast 303 acid line.
On the flipside's opener we are in the moment to the extent that we simply Mustacid'. The track evokes the early output of Den Haag's Bunker Records with gabber kicks, persistent snare and rimshot patterns, a full-on 303 bass, and noise pads of human screams and dissonant guitars. Hereafter, the producer continues his Hard Vision' in a similarly brutal manner, adding whiplash snares to a high-energy drum pattern, several acid lines and discordant synth pads. On closer ESX', the pace is taken down a bit on what sounds like a tense Detroit techno classic played through a distortion pedal, Hardcore kicks and toms blend with reverberated claps, rattling hihats, bell pads, a subtle 303 and an organ-like synth.

Though Carbone sticks to a familiar sound-pallet, the loosely structured tracks at a higher-than-usual pace make Ravers' a refreshing record. Where his previous slower releases expressed dystopian views, Ravers' has a cathartic feel - as if we've experienced mayhem and are now optimistically dancing among the ruins.

As both a producer and the helmsman of the Outis Music label, Dino Sabatini has carved out a distinctive musical style that shows a great reverence for both ancient archetypes and future possibilities for change (see, for example, his Mnemosyne' co-release with Edit Select, in which each track is dedicated to a separate Greek goddess). With one foot planted in a mysterious past and the other foot planted in a world yet to arrive, Sabatini's works are carefully realized emotional journeys that intertwine shimmers of optimism with undercurrents of poignancy or nostalgia. His latest full-length offering, Omonimo' (that's homonym' for non-speakers of Italian), brings all of this to fruition on a record that demands (and rewards) deep listening. After a pulsating Foreword' massages the mind and prepares it for the story that Sabatini is about to tell, Choosing the Right Way' blankets the listener in a rainy day ambience punctuated with tantalizingly distant vocal refrains and nimble piano. At once solemn and erotic, it sets the pace perfectly for a set of tracks that have a cohesive feel, yet all use their own sonic vocabulary and color palette to tell unique variations on the story. It's My Forest,' for example, sticks to the reliable trip-hop / mid-tempo framework while introducing quick snatches of tabla and signaling, hovering synth arpeggios. Follow Me' retains the lush synth pads and cycling percussive loops of that track, and then things take a turn for the slightly darker with The Unexpected,' a sudden uptick in percussive punch and apprehensive intensity.

Diagonal return with the debut 12" from Bronze Teeth side-project Green Gums. Edition of 500, initial copies on transparent green wax* Dogged techno licks from Dom Butler & L/F/D/M in Green Gums guise following two searing sessions as Bronze Teeth, also for Diagonal. Where their previous pair of 12"s tended to effluent, extended jams, these are just as mucky but more concise. Uptown, they launch the jagged EBM affray of 'Zozomono' with coarse acid lines yoked to slamming kicks, while 'Dag' marches out like some mutant, blunted offspring of Ancient Methods and Powell. Downtown, they really come into their own with the coiled shuffle and strangely spacious, gutted mix-down of EP highlight, 'Cestoda's Labyrinth', before tilting slow and low with the tripping acid of 'Tap Dancing Goat Man'. For their next release, Zone Records welcome legendary French producer, remixer, singer, songwriter and emblematic musical star Arnaud Rebotini for a fascinating four track EP. Alongside the standout music, the artwork for the EP is a photo of a suitably impressive sculpture of Arnaud that the label have had specially commissioned for the release.
Arnaud Rebotini has done it all, from pioneering electronic works to teaming up with chamber orchestras. A real synth wizard and mesmeric live performer who has remixed everyone from Depeche Mode to Nitzer Ebb, Bloc Party to Rammstein, he is an award winning musician who also started the seminal Black Strobe group and has had his music used on a number of films such as The Wolf of Wall Street. As such, from experimental pop to death metal, electro to soundtracks, he has done it all. Now he returns to his good friends at Zone Music for another sterling EP.
Opener 'Danger Zone' is a frazzled electro house cut with whirring machines, pixelated synths and blasts of bass that are physical and menacing. Muffled robot vocals lend it a dehumanised feel and sheet metal textures and rushing pads all ensure it goes off with a bang.
The writhing 'Freudian Slip' is a comparatively deeper cut, with sombre chords adding a sense of finality to chattering snares, gurgling bass and loopy kicks. It's a fulsome track for making people move whilst 'Seeking Happiness' is a vocal led jam with punky drums, twanging synths and oodles of attitude in the crashing hits. It's dark yet uplifting and makes for a nice change of pace to the EP. Lastly, 'Forza Maradonna' is a chugging, cosmic disco delight with slick drums and retro-future synths all fleshed out with fat bass, filter sweeps and raining melodies.
This is a varied and vital EP that is full of the unique machine made charm that has ensured Arnaud Rebotini is one of the key electronic proponents of his day.

Produced by Steve Poindexter and coming from the depths of Chicago's 1991 underground comes "Sex Chants", a killer 6 track EP of soulful, sleazed out box jams on Poindexter's tiny Chicago Bad Boys Records imprint. An extremely varied EP, "Sex Chants" has it all; vocal cuts, oddball Chi-town jackers, soulful, deep sounds and straight up raw dance-floor cuts, all steeped in that lo-fi, bedroom like quality that we've all come to appreciate.

"Sex Chants" is a very sought after release and this is the first time the EP has been re-issued and re-mastered. This re-release has been done in conjunction with Chicago Bad Boys and features the original 1991 label artwork. A true underground deep house gem, overlooked and now made available again.

Elektrax Recordings is back, and not only is Elektrax Recordings back, it's also the return of some legends. The 'Big Room EP', by nobody else than the maestro Orlando Voorn contains some tracks you are not likely to forget, and comes with remixes by the one and only comeback kid Ortin Cam and Chris Colburn.

Needless to say, title track 'Big Room' provides the quality to be just like the name suggests; a throbbing kick and bassline and those great old-school hoovers. Ortin Cam delves a bit deeper with his remix, but undeniably, after some minutes in, profiles itself as peak time as Orlando Voorn's original.

On the B-side, we find 'The Booming System', by which the name alone already tells us, this one's not for the faint of heart. With the same heavy old-school vibe as the a-side, this one's a banger, start to finish. Chris Colburn's remix ends the EP with a deep tribal feel, providing for a great tool in all DJ sets.

One of the many Delsin off shoots welcomes fast rising Shlomo to the fray for a new EP featuring three singular originals and one excellent remix from Artekfakt. The Taapion Records boss has previously released on Wolfskuil and Bright Sounds and here serves up some truly sumptuous space techno. The Artefakt remix is actually a collage of all three Shlomo originals and is a suspenseful, hypnotic and sublime techno roller that carries you tiny another dimension. This is perfectly heady music for cerebral dance floors.

South London Ordnance returns to Aery Metals with a quartet of rolling club cuts.

The British artist ties up Italo and Industrial references with trademark steely percussion and warping atmospherics. Exercises in razor edged tool Techno trade blows with more submerged, rhythmic recordings and Finnish outsiders Femme En Fourrure return to the label for a new collaboration.

After the success of Powers of Ten, Stephan Bodzin's latest and greatest full length, the German tastemaker has now invited a key selection of artists to remix tracks from it. This great collection will be released digitally—with two bonus remixes by Super Flu and Marc Romboy—as well as on vinyl on the 18th December 2015.

The original album came in June on Bodzin's own Herzblut Recordings and was a hugely personal affair that has been played far and wide by DJs and danced to by clubbers all over the world. Now breathing fresh life and different perspectives into the original source material are the likes of big name stars Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more.

Things kick off with Ellum Audio boss and Shall Ocin, who flip 'Powers of Ten' into a serene and slow burning track full of spiritual synth lines and heavenly pads, before Spanish pair Edu Imbernon and Coyu work their magic on 'Wir' and reimagine it as a sumptuous and slow burning tech track with a droning baseline and cosmic melodies. Influential Crosstown Rebels act Fur Coat then tackle 'Singularity' and cook up a brooding, elongated main room track that locks you into its groove and never lets you go. Next, long time Bodzin collaborator and friend Marc Romboy makes 'Ix' into a tense tech tool that balances on a knife edge as menacing bass roams and rolls below.

From there, Cocoon team and live specialists Extrawelt makes 'Blue Giant' into a spooky minimal cut that is full of haunting atmosphere, festival headlining Second State pair Pan-Pot then offer lots of tense groove and sombre machine melodies on their version of 'Zulu.' In the second half there are dark remixes from Max Cooper, intense synth jams from Agents of Time, typically beautiful and musical offerings from Dominik Eulberg, tripped out techno rollers from Gabriel Ananda and two digital only remixes of 'Birth' that are deep and inviting from Super Flu and clean, reflective and soothing from Marc Romboy. Monoloc also comes up with the goods on his deep and dubby remix of 'Singularity'.

This collection plays out almost like a mix, taking you up and down and through many different styles of electronic music, each as absorbing and essential as the next, and that's all thanks to the on point and informed A&R of label boss Stephan Bodzin.

Adam X is back with his third album release under his industrial guise, ADMX-71.
Following releases with the legendary label Hands and his own imprint, Sonic Groove Experiments, Adam paired up with L.I.E.S Records in 2014 for Redacted Files, a 12' single of slowed-down and tense EBM wizardry. Adam returns to the L.I.E.S. front with Coherent Abstractions, a brand new album of singular experiments that pull from every corner of electronic music's landscape into a comprehensive and propulsive full-length.

Coherent Abstractions pulsates with fractured rhythms, vacillating melodies and mesmerizing compositions that showcase Adam's impressive history working in all aspects of the underbelly of electronic music. Noise and industrial elements seep into the album's 11 songs, churning the cold and abrasive into feverish new territory. Though Coherent Abstractions operates primarily in sounds of solitude, guest vocalist Janina joins "Bound and Broken" for a rare vocal collaboration on an ADMX-71 track. We also hear a frantic vocal performance from the producer on Nearing Obliteration which is undoubtedly the apex of the album.

Throughout the album the music sweeps from breakbeat noir, anxious electronic dub to reflective industrial modes making Coherent Abstractions an engaging and varied listen, updating a late 80's EBM tone into modern sound design environments, while pushing a reverence for the past and heading into the deep unknown of the future.

For those unfamiliar with Adam's deeply rooted history in the New York underground, he and his brother, Frankie Bones, pioneered techno in a post-disco, pre-Guiliani, New York City through the late-eighties and onwards past the nineties producing countless records under various guises and finally opening their own shop and record label, Sonic Groove. At the same time they began throwing renegade parties, known as STORM RAVE throughout the 5 boroughs. which was, until this time unheard of in such a major U.S. metropolis and opened the door for what was to come.

It's the fourth release from the Berlin based imprint Wet Cellar, simply titled 'WET 004/V.A.' it's a example of what the label is about, simply producing a Techno sound and frame of mind in regards to underground electronic dance music.
The release brings two artists already known in previous releases Marco Effe and Salvo Castelli for A-side, while the B-side features a new artist, the young talent that is, Mattia Trani label boss of Pushmaster Discs.The release starts with Marco Effe's 'Phase Meter' is raw minimal Techno, in short relentless and simplistic in stature, full of organic sounds and rhythm where a powerful bass line dominates our own heartbeats.
Next up on the A-side is Salvo Castelli with his 'Border Drone' with a a vigorous kick and keeps curiosity up with whips and organic sounds expertly arranged, as well as filters that open and close, and accentuate this piece's rhythm.
The E.P is sown up on the B-side with 'Black Structure' from Mattia Trani, with it's sound straight and overwhelming, with stunning counterattacks intertwined with a symphony of sounds, vibrations, in which the individual parts fit attracted by the resonance with similar sounds.

Mote-Evolver's ever successful Parallel Series is now on to its fourth installment, this time with two West Coast producers - Developer and Truncate - going head to head. Pairing of the two is uncanny in many ways given their close friendship and the geographical base they share, and appears to be the perfect choice to highlight the difference between their sound and style to realize the concept of Parallel Series: contrast & compliment.

The EP opens with "Drive Themes" by Developer, a producer who's known for the deeply dramatic groove charged with masculine energy. With its focused and streamlined forward-moving force, "Drive Themes" is a track of relentless agility. "Random Attraction" maintains the same tempo but adds enticing elements of distorted shouts of melody on top of the ruthless yet smooth layers of chords and hats, all beautifully harmonized to perfection. Developer's contribution makes the darker and moodier side of EP and its stirring emotion serves as a nice counterpart to its slightly more lighthearted flip side.

Fellow LA-based producer Truncate steps out of his usual sound of rock-solid and thumping techno with "Is It Skinny", a spaced-out hypnotic track that contains a vocal sample that's so demure and unexpected that it melts into the swirling bleeps of melodies, and you wouldn't even notice if it wasn't the title that gives out. "Forty Four" is yet another track that's born for the floor, inducing aural pleasure with its funky rolling bass dancing with congo-like drums and claps.

The BALANS roster is growing evermore internationally with fresh Moscow signing Nphonix. The Russian producer made big waves in the global Drum & Bass and Dubstep scene, but is no stranger to juke, acid and techno as he proven on previous releases. His different background provides him with a fresh angle on classic techno, pushing the envelope for the genre in a manner we love.

For the Benway EP's title track, a coop with fellow Russian producer Apobothra, the term 'monster track' is an understatement. The slow, careful build up doesn't prepare the unweary listener for the wall of sound that's yet to come. After the drop Benway evolves into a relentless tornado, destroying everything in it's sonic path.

Black Acid and Nebrakada on the flip are have the same sonic signature, but are more trippy by nature. Both tunes reveal Nphonix dubstep background 135-140 bpm tempos, without losing any of their funk through pulsating bass grooves.

We often forget that techno artists are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate music enthusiasts. Luckily we are forced to a shift in perception when an album comes out, when all the ideas and intentions that do not fit a format push the producer to embrace something new and consequently showcase some of the most interesting electronic music out there. It's a narrative that can be applied to many of the producers that are currently pushing techno toward more experimental grounds... a group Samuli Kemppi certainly belongs to. Growing up in Helsinki, Finland and discovering the Detroit sound in the late 80s, Kemppi has consistently contributed to the advancement of techno for the past decade, sometimes as dj and promoter, but mostly as producer. Unafraid to experiment with all sorts of subsets within the realm of techno, his records have been released by a diverse range of labels (among which we find Prologue, Mote-Evolver and Perc Trax) but it's with M_Rec Ltd. that the artist is set to release his debut album.
'The Observer Effect' is a brainy and challenging record. Recorded exclusively with gear, with all tracks arranged live, its tracks are pure explorations of the process of writing electronic music. It's all about perfecting the loop in real time, being in the moment without any digital memory to limit the potential. Forcing oneself to go back to the roots of the genre itself, basically writing a personal and heartfelt letter to its early pioneers. Although raw and unpolished, the results convey a very honest love for the essential nature of the genre and the emotional power of the electronic loop.
Obviously, Kemppi's attitude and vision live strong through the album: working as an intro, 'Particle Spray' is a crepuscular and haunting track that pierces deep. 'Agitated', 'Locked' and 'Power of Voltages' are conceptually ruthless techno experiments where the core of loops gets explored until a certain climax is extracted. 'Water Lake' is unsettling dark ambient, standing before the second set of loop-heavy tracks. 'Unsung Heroes' and '250 Days' are basically skeletons of instant rave classics you end up losing yourself into. With 'Beneath The Surface' things get even darker and sparse. It's basically harsh dub sounds working as dissociatives. 'Wrong Turn' goes out to busted dance floors and is probably the friendliest of the tracks on the record. Rough on the surface, its groove is irresistible. Expect to see this exciting electro monster getting a lot of play. The last tryptic formed by 'Tailgating', 'Passage' and 'Never The Same' explore more hypnotic grounds. Slightly more fluid, with more melody at play, these tracks stay consistently sinister in their nature, concluding an album that is not afraid to stay personal.

As conclusion, Act 63 is characterized by emotional melancholic melodies and brain-dance music, accompanied by succession of rousing rhythmic evolutions.

Orphx returns on Sonic Groove soon again after last years widely acclaimed "Division EP" which was charted by many top techno dj's. Their newest release "Black Light" will once again explores the dark deep dublike sounds of techno.

Todd Osborn is back for a second round on Jared Wilson's 7777 label with some heavyweight cuts made for the club. The EP is a pastiche as only Todd can do - looking towards garage, Chicago, Detroit, the future and the past. The record finishes off with an excellent acid remix from MRSK.

Keeping with the rough release rate of an album every couple of years, Prime Numbers label boss Trus'me is back with his fourth full length, Planet 4.Featuring nine cuts of intergalactic Techno and once again marking a considerable sonic evolution for this acclaimed UK artist. Never one to do the same trick twice, David James Wolstencroft uses his latest album as a vehicle for his own interest in deep space, physics and dark matter.
It is those subjects that have occupied his mind in recent years, and those subjects that inform this brilliantly otherworldly album.
Where previous LPs have variously been funk and soul heavy, or openly analogue and physical, this one is a more subtle and supple Techno affair that is as cerebral as it is seductive.
Starting with a monologue that suggests that man has already landed on Mars, '1979' is a cut that immediately places you somewhere in orbit. Spooky synths and sci-fi sounds are eerie and atmospheric and very much set a perfect tone.
From there, there is slow, elastic and unsettling mood music on 'The Unexplained', deep and insular Techno on 'Dark Flow' and trippy Dan Bell style minimalism on 'Ring Round Heart'.
The second half of the LP touches on chunky dub, manic and melodic grooves.This is a coherent statement that holds together conceptually and musically. As well as providing plenty of dynamite for the more discerning dance floor, Planet 4 is also a delightfully detailed affair that will work just as well on headphones late at night.

Homoheterogeneity, originally released in January 2015, is the debut album from
Raccoglimento Parziale, the duo formed by Andrea Giachetti and Stefano Meucci (The
Clover, Silent People). In eight dense tracks, the album builds piece by piece an arcane
language, made up of electromechanical beats, powerful basses, digitized guitars and
broken samples, assembled in a liquid and fluctuating atmosphere.
Homoheterogeneity is a microscope's view, a revealing blow-up over a cloud of microsounds,
sometimes digital, sometimes organic. It's a discovery of new life forms,
homo/heterogeneous to our eyes - and to our ears.
Delivered on vinyl 33 rpm and mastered by Frank Merritt at the Carvery in London, the album
boasts on the cover the experimental photographic work of Sandro Crisafi, who visually
recreated in the darkroom the chemistry that connects these fluctuating sounds.

Spanish based label NuLabel, set out on their third vinyl adventure which comes impregnated with authentic German Techno from Coeter, who signs two original tracks in addition to two reworks from Berlin based Ixel and the Brazilian producer Urbano.

Coeter opens the curtain with '110', track with a deep technoid soul of fanfare, leisurely pace and a mix of raw and hypnotic sounds that drawn on the powerful bass-line.

'145' presents the most upbeat and danceable side of Coeter, who submerges us into a universe of synthetic and atmospheric beats colliding with each other causing a delicious sound reaction.

Ixel lands from Berlin to leave a nice treatment of '110', where he uses practically the same original elements, looking for colder sensations thanks to a sharp base and stealthy rhythm of the track.

Finally the Brazillian Urbano activates all your senses with his rework of '145', sounding architecture in appearance more forceful and aggressive than the original, but with many elements that form a chaotic and high-flying track.

'Fizic is the next natural step for accomplished techno producer Cosmin TRG. Having released on an influential array of labels in the last few years, the Romanian is now branching out on his own with an imprint that will serve as a further extension of himself, his sonic preferences and his interest in artistic imagery. Releasing esoteric techno aimed largely at the dancefloor and purely from his own studio, Fizic releases will come accompanied with Cosmin's own photography as well as occasional videos. Coming in both vinyl and digital format, the label serves as a combination of a need for a more personal, dedicated approach, a desire for artistic freedom and is born from 'a slightly egocentric tendency, with the sole purpose of creating unique, high quality audio-visual products.
