DJ No Mad Ronin teams up with Jerome Sydenham for a beautiful excursion into electronic simplicity. Architecture and music share some basic principles: one of them being that no matter how extravagant you make something, it must always have a solid foundation.

This is Brothers and Sisters, a summary of the sound of Mister Saturday Night Records to date. Last year, a producer from Bari, Italy contacted Komisch to send a demo. Like most labels, we get emails and messages from new producers. We try our best to listen to them and if it's possible, to offer some advice.

When we heard Christian Lisco's demo, it was clear straight away that he didn't need any words of encouragement about his music or its structure.

It was also obvious that despite being a young producer, his sound was far more mature than any other demo Komisch had received (apart from SP-X) - and we had to release it.

So this is Christian's first EP. It's more housey than the usual Komisch sound, but its rhythms and beats are tough and robust, its early 90s techno melodies are irresistible, the acidic bleeps also redolent of early dance music and Lisco's arranging is understated and crafty.

It's time for a new release at One to One stable and this time label boss John Stoongard teamed up with Gaetano Gaudi from Baila Musik artist .For the main track,Sampling In House, we welcome aboard well known Mihai Popoviciu (Remote Area,All inn record,Highgrade) who done a brilliant space dub remix,while Gaetano Gaudi provides us 2 hot tracks,one of them re-visited by John himself.

Passageway is the debut solo EP by Aurora Halal, producer, video artist and creator of Brooklyn's Mutual Dreaming party series. Four shadowy and intimate dance landscapes of shifting subterranean textures, backed with a hallucinatory remix by Detroit Techno legend Terrence Dixon. Minimal, metallic and pulsing with hazy sensuality, these tracks offer an exciting first glimpse into a unique emotional world.

Just a few months after his last effort, Coni is back with a vengeance on the ClekClekBoom imprint with the wild "Comfort Zone" EP. This time he tried to do some happy raw tracks to dance to, but not only. The show begins with "The Opposite" where an ever growing synth pad pattern keep going while some dusty toms make things tribal and warm. Playing with the low and the high pass to create pressure points, it makes the tension floating all along this confident and sunny opener.
The next one "Napalm" is a direct homage to the Dance Mania legacy, the Chicago flavor is all over this straight banger, in the purest form possible. Using some jacking 606 and a 909 mixed with some old organ is enough to build this obsessive tool, ready for any floor. On the flip, "Bunker's Groove" dives into a more darker territory, aimed for the late hours of a warehouse party, it's filled with muffled percussions and decay getting lost in analog reverbs. Distilled in the track, some rare stabs loosely looking like some sounds used in the ballroom scene are here to remind us that we're still in the club, but deep, deep below the surface.
Maintaining the same mood, "Exit To The Comfort Zone" ends the EP in a more introspective fashion. Beat-less and full of sci-fi
noises, the human presence is just allowed via some long distance voices recorded from an unknown past, then quietly fades into some electronic mist.
All in all this record shows how versatile Coni can be, and we can't wait to see what he'll be cooking for the next chapter...

'Untouchable' is Straight Al Capone - Murder-tastic and super dangerous, this track would make Elliot Ness quit the FBI and become an alcoholic. This is deception turmoil work at it best, as that superman packed bass line till you can't get anymore. This is a made in trenches track to hurt the masses hard when you play this loud and proud. This is a 100% reason to buy this vinyl all day!


'Kaleidoscope' is really a little like, that a super trip of 3x the amount of acid bass-line, pitch and sound deception that i really only took one pill instead of two. Real outta control designed heart-beat techno not quite for my listening habit, but we can see the wild and crazy South East side of the world enjoying more then some others.

Turbo Recordings presents a stellar new EP from emerging UK producer joeFarr, the latest addition to the label's New Jack Techno stable.
The gamut of Turbo releases can range from big-name big-deals to cult favorites to relative unknowns. The past year has seen the label delve more deeply into the latter category, scouting new talent and signing material entirely on the basis of the music, rather than preconception, hype or cronyism. With this release from young UK producer joeFarr, the label continues to expand its burgeoning New Jack Techno roster, which has been embraced by everyone from superstar DJs to highbrow tastemakers like Resident Advisor.
The title track's moody synth intro gives way to bleeped-out party vibes, riding an insistent groove that strikes a balance between loopy mania and techno intensity. Meanwhile, "FE CR" welds clanging percussion to dark atmospherics and a relentless distorted acid line. Finally, "You Got Some Front" is an industrial-tinged banger that crosses the line into glowstick-eating rave madness.

He is responsible for 4 solo albums, over 200 releases and hundreds of remixes. Still his hunger for sound experiments is satisfied by no means. FEOS wouldn't be FEOS, if it wouldn't have been for him to have his fingers on controllers and knobs on a daily basis, creating and tweaking new sounds. Finally the time has come. What's in it Not only FEOS' fifth album, but also a musical answer to the question what he has experienced and what he had to go through in these three creative and self-reflecting years of his musical hiatus. Two tracks taken from the 'Greater Lengths' All Saints label compilation and remix album. Current producers and artists working in a sympathetic idiom were invited to re-work and re-interpret some of the highlights from the All Saints archive.

After an early start in creative life as a child actor during World War II for German state film studio UFA, Hans-Joachim Roedelius became one of the prime movers in the strand of experimental music that emerged from 1970s Germany sometimes referred to as 'kosmische' music. As a founder member of the highly influential groups Cluster and Harmonia, he was part of a vibrant scene that included Neu!, Kraftwerk and Can.

He started releasing solo work in 1978, combining his minimal piano style with electronic production details. In the 1990s he collaborated with Italian musicians Nicola Alesini (saxophone) and Fabio Capanni (guitar) in ambient jazz trio Aquarello, who released three albums, the final instalment being issued by All Saints.

Whilst overseeing the reissue of a vast archive of seminal albums, Roedelius shows no signs of slowing down as he enters his eighth decade, recording new work with Stefan Schneider (To Rococo Rot), Lloyd Cole and Tim Story.

The A side features Deep Thought, a seven-minute obsession around a short melodic fragment that speeds at 130 BPM through a paranoid passage of beguiling rhythm.

Brooks comes true to form w/layer after layer of percussive orchestration, celestial synths, & bass from outer space. Kevin Reynolds strips down & pumps up the groove for maximum peak time impact.

For the 23rd release, Label boss and purist botherer Jerome Hill steps up and delivers, possibly the maddest record on the label to date.. The A side dubbed 'serious' side, and the B dubbed 'You Can Not Be Serious' side.
What we have on the A is two chunks of Bass heavy techno, 'Hit Record' being a catchy 'make you stumble' groove led chunky bassline monster and 'Work That Shit' being a banging chicago style speaker destroyer that is already receiving support from amongst others, PERC, TRUSS, BEN SIMS and DAVE TARRIDA.
Flip the record and you get two INSANE tracks only for the adventurous DJs with a sense of humour ! 'Goatwerk' is made using samples from Norwegian Goat Herders and 'Ghetto Rolf' is another blunted Chicago banger littered with Rolf Harris samples ! Both these B tracks can be played in full, or cued from their more techno 2nd halves !

Mächtige, druckvolle Bassdrums, perfektionistische Abmischungen, ständige Weiterentwicklung und Klangfärbung bis ins Detail kennzeichnen Dominiks musikalisches Schaffen. Die wundervollen, warmen Synthie-Flächen in "Mellow" wurden mit der eigenen E-Gitarre eingespielt. Dominiks markante Bassdrum lassen den Beat rollen und ein über-freundlicher Sub-Bass die Gedanken fliegen. Eine epische Nummer, die nun nur noch darauf wartet, sich in den Plattenkisten der Künstler und den Gehörgängen der Tänzer nieder zu lassen. Dieser Track kommt mit soviel Gefühl und doch so viel Druck daher, das er "gereifter" kaum sein könnte. Catalogue-Number 001 still blows the fire and Dominik Musiolik directly drops the second one. With the Mellow EP the symphatic Frankfurter allowes deep insights in his tonal spectrum. Massive, pressuring bassdrums, perfectionistic mixings, but always continuing the own revolution and detailed tone-colouring signify Dominiks musical work. The wonderful, very warm synthies in "Mellow" has been recorded with the own E-Gitarre. Dominiks remarkable bassdrum makes the beat rolling and the super-friendly sub-bass let your mind fly away. An epic number, which only waits to take place in the cases of the artists and the ear canal of the dancers. This number comes with so much feeling but punsh, that it couldn´t be more mellow. With "Inspection" Dominik completes the circle between musical and bouncing Techno - A ponderous techno-tune with sick voices, a lashing clap and industrial but warm flats. This EP should make every heart of authentic electronic music beating faster. We are proud and happy to have Dominik with us!

The Cronenberg referencing Crimes Of The Future label from Messrs. Fairplay and Fraser gathers further pace on their second release, looking across the Atlantic and focussing on the enigmatic works of Elizabeth Merrick Jefferson. From her Detroit base, Jefferson has one previous release to call on in the shape of the Urban Off Road 12" for the Argot label. The promise demonstrated there is explored further within the context of this four track Quetzalcoatl 12" for COTF, expounding colourful take on Detroit house filled with rich star gazing qualities that would attract the attention of Timothy and Scott.

Chapter Records introduces 'Alligator Blood EP', the very first label release produced by Chapter records chief Anika Kunst.
Spanish producer and DJ, Anika demonstrates her talent with two original Techno Dub tracks, 'Alligator blood' and 'Biding all in'.
'Alligator blood' opens the record featuring deep bass lines oscillating over a well-constructed rhythm, an entrancing track that brings
reminiscences of Basic Channel's most classic sound. Then 'Biding All In remake' takes over, Anika's second effort on this record. An absorbing sequence of synth sounds escorted by a dynamic
and compact drumbeat that works as the foundation for this solid Techno Dub track.
Last but not least 'Biding all in remix', a skilled new approach to Anika's composition by techno engineer Architectural. The remix masterfully reconstructs the original idea, leading it closer to the Detroit sound territory. Without a doubt, a great track from the Spanish producer that closes the first release of many to come from Chapter Records.

Still fresh from his debut full length Traces last year, Delta Dunktionen is back with his first EP of the year. As well a new track, it features a special Karenn remix of 'Onkalo', a track previously released on Traces, as well as 'Challenger' from the same album.
The first original is 'Sun Storm' with its tumbling Chicago drums, chattering claps and sci-fi swirls all adding up to something that's as heady as it is futuristic. 'Challenger' - previously cd/digi only - on the other hand sounds like a much more calm and serene trip through the cosmos, with slowed electro stylings and plenty of occult details coming over like the soundtrack to a film as much as a darkened dancefloor.

Uncompromising techno pair Blawan and Pariah a.k.a. Karenn turns in an unsurprisingly brutish version of 'Onkalo' that spits and skips through industrial drums, fizzing machine noises and sombre horn sounds. Evil!

ONLY VINYL ! Antimatter is the name of the announced trilogy. The first of the three releases will include two tracks by Fabrizio Lapiana and one remix by Milton Bradley.

Miss Djax is proof that age doesn't necessarily always bring peace. For 25 years now, she has stomped on the face of techno and acid with hard punishing beats and radioactive 303 sounds.

With her new release 'From Within' she goes back to the acid sound of the nineties. She recorded the 4 tracks live in her little analog home studio just like in the old days.
'From Within' is a tribute to her old-skool fans. A release on solid 180 grams yellow coloured vinyl in a limited edition of 200 copies only.

The renegade instincts of acid might be long gone but in Djax Records' corner there is still an axe that needs swinging!

We're really excited about this unusual EP from the unusually talented PhOtOmachine, his first outing on Wicked Bass. 'Black
Motorcycle' a dark but deep number, measuredly working its way down into to a solid groove before it lifts its eyes skyward for a
breakdown made up of delicate synthwork. 'Good News...Bad Dope' is a more skittish cut, with its percussive elements laying low in the mix, whilst circling synths provide a menacing mood that juxtaposes itself with a well-placed vocal sample. A rough and ready, but nonetheless deeply considered track.
Heading in a totally different direction 'Zapp' does weird and wonderful work with a decidedly disco palette, bringing out the
toughness of the genre by emphasising a superbly dirty bassline. 'Special Luv' also wraps itself around a filthy disco sample, and
indulges in a breakdown which is simply a condensation of sheer sexiness. Four pieces of brilliance from an impressive new talent -
what are you waiting for Stick it in your recordbag quicksharp.

Apartment kickstarts 2014 with a Various Artists compilation focusing on Irish talent from all across the isle.
Following on from their collaboration as Bande Apartment in 2013, Tr One and New Jackson once again appear together on Apartment. This time around New Jackson remixes Tr One's bruising techno beast 'Viceroy-9c' (The original of which appeared on the last Apartment release, a split 12' with Phantom Planet Outlaws), turning it into an emotive, acid-laced breakbeat gem.
House duo Slowburn, coming off a year that included appearances on Lunar Disko, Appian Sounds and Grounded In Humanity deliver the off-kilter and immersive 'Riders of the Sea'. Hints of the work of artists such as Drexciya and Kassem Mosse are combined with their own unique stylings to create an intoxicating, tripped out journey to the deepest recesses of the dancefloor.
The Cyclist garnered huge praise last year with his 'Bones in Motion' LP on Leaving Records/Stones Throw and Apartment is excited to deliver his first original material since then. His individual brand of over-driven electronics - 'Tape Throb' - combines distortion with the most delicate of inflections and 'Crax' surmises this approach perfectly, an uncommonly euphoric slice of wounded electronica.
Last but by no means least is The Superior Inferior. After his debut release on Belfast's One Electronica label went so far as to be licensed by Sven Vath to his Sound of the 14th Season compilation, he returns with the throbbing, rapturous 'A Bit Much Confusion'. Wave and electro influences carry this bass heavy number towards it's crescendo of skyscraping synths and skewered monopoly madness.

All good things must come to an end and so it is that the landmark series of EPs from Delsin wraps up with instalment 5.
The last part of the 100th release celebratory jigsaw comes from BNJM, Delta Funktionen, Herva, Bleak and John Beltran. It's a great final chapter that completes the story of the label by offering timeless and melancholic sounds from a wide spread of genres.

First is the murky underwater ambiance of BNJMN's 'Dive', which ripples and echoes beautifully before Delta Funktionen's 'Petrol' offers up far more raw and angry sounds in a heavyweight, spitting electro mould. 'Radio Mutterings' sounds just like that, with skittish frequencies, bristling white noise and only the most feint traces of melody anywhere within earshot.

On the flip side, one Swedish techno's finest, Bleak, unravels some steely techno loops and underpins them with a thick bed of rubbery kick drums and the final word on this excellent series comes from ambient auteur John Beltran. His 'Return to Nighfall' has bristling hi hats coated in angelic and harmonic pads and eventually takes off on a well-padded beat. It's the sort of thing that stays with you long after its finished playing, much like the Delsin label as a whole.

Mindcut is back on the road with the 4th release und presents a bunch
of dirty raw techno tunes from 4 outstanding producers.


A1 starts with a tune from Bleaching Agent, also known from the famous
Blacknecks project with Truss. He knows how a deep bassline should work
with shaking high hats.

A2 with the Italian producer G-23 who delivers a dirty tune with an
evil
bassline and stomping kick. This combination works in every club.

B1 comes with Kamikaze Space Programme, the alias of the well known
D'n'B Project Raiden, brings up a percussive smasher with unique field
recording sounds. This is the perfect condition to heat up the dance
floor.

B2 the last tune so far is from Myler and comes up with a straight
distorted beast. Raw sounds without compromise... there is nothing to add.

My Little Dog strikes back with the second part of their Limited Series. Another VVAA ep with suitable tracks for all kind of tastes. On the A side,  the Italian rising star Tony Dee (Kling Klong) surprises us again with 'Open your mind',  an absolutely massive tech house bomb. Meanwhile, the two label heads Oscar Barila & Sergio Parrado delight us with the groovy and funky rythms of 'Trip to rio'.
 
On the B side we meet 'Press' by the Chilean man of the moment, Aldo Cadiz (Desolat). Dropping his first solo 12" for the label since 2010's The Boxer, label head honcho Pinch returns to home turf for our next release,
backed with a dark rolling techno remix from Berlin legend, Shed.
Some words from Pinch on the release: "I've never spent so long on a single track before. I spent hours and hours trying to get the particular sonic I wanted - layering microscopic sounds in the background textures, processing sounds and so on. In the end it became something of an obsession in me to get it right - hence my changing the title from 'The Possession' to 'Obsession (The Possession)'." 'Obsession (The Possession)' begins with a weighty pounding 4/4 kick pummelling forward, re-pitching every other 8 bars and building percussion along the route. 32 bars in and an eerie demonic mist starts to form, cloudy and hypnotising before a series of psychotic bass stabs cut in, unleashing a barrage of unhinged percussive hits and terrifying sonics.
On remix duties is none other than one of the most talented figures in contemporary techno - a man who goes by many different guises but is still best known as Shed. Here the version is more rolling yet still dark and totally unique sounding - paranoid techno at the hands of a true master.

Part of a constellation of little-known, largely Spanish techno artists who have defined Semantica as a must-watch techno label since at least 2009 but really for its entire history, Aiken's work is also a stunning summation of the qualities that make this small group of leading-edge talents essential encapsulations

of the genre's musical progression up until this time. Deeply rooted in the innovations of Detroit, Berlin and New York, his music also takes in flourishes of sound design and broken-beat experimentalism rooted in the rich past of UK dance music. Following strong and well-received releases on M_REC_LTD, Lycaon, and of course Semantica, Chronicle is proud to welcome the Spaniard to the fold for its sixth EVENT: The Eternal Dreamer.

We begin with 'Image I', somewhere near Detroit's glory days with thick, shimmering drones and rhythmic sequence elements that state their intent without breaking the aura of mystery. Understated and stark, the delicately swung rhythms of the title track 'Eternal Dreamer', are joined by the ethereal but industrial noise that forms its center. The mood hovers between dystopian sound processing and
a long, steady upward rise, but growling sample central to 'Image II', and the subtly treated screams that form its second half, darken the midpoint of the EP and prepare listeners for the shift. 'No Way Back to Reality' charges outward in the manner suggestive of its title, with paced rhythmic thrust and a mood that becomes progressively more alien as it rushes forward. Finally, 'Interpretation' starts in open-ended chirps and understated movement before the pound takes possession at midpoint for a sonically advanced textural exploration.

Featuring five original tracks and a clear, overarching structure and progression, The Eternal Dreamer is Aiken's strongest artistic statement to-date and a thrilling push into the future both for the producer and for Chronicle's continuing missions.

Berlin-based Emerson Todd returns to Saved with the "Dis N Dat EP" in which the New-Zealander once again presents us with 3 big records, showcasing the reason he is considered one of the most exciting producers in the scene. On the A side is the piano grooved "Haere Mai" which is built upon tight percussion and a deep flowing bassline all layered with more pianos complimented by an intelligent triply feel.

Over on the flip side is "Inside You'. This track possesses an infectious, bass-filled groove that pulls the listener in immediately and sounds great on the drop.

The third release on Sigha's 'Our Circula Sound' imprint finally drops in the shape of three outstanding tracks from Shifted.
The EP sees a continuation of the sound forged on his recent Mote-Evolver and Avian outings; hypnotic and textural, leaning
heavily on his influences outside electronic music. Shifted has provided an EP that proves a perfect fit for the slowly growing
OCS catalogue and demonstrates why he's one of the most talked about new techno artists of the last few years...

Suburb return to our shores here at Thema with a new clutch of tracks drenched in their trademark swirling soul and assured groove. Embracing earnest vocals and a hand-played ethic in their music, THEMA038 cements the fact that these two are rising in the ranks of adventurous deep house producers. Hamburg-based Christoph Vogel and Levente Pavelka last appeared on Thema back in 2011 with the Vorstadt 12', but more recently they have delivered the goods for labels as esteemed as Freerange, which should indicate where their richly melodic sound is pitched.

'Like' is destined to turns heads wherever it gets played, thanks in no small part to the distinctive lyrical turn from Lazarusman, previously found collaborating with Stimming amongst others. It's a love letter that anyone can relate to, and beyond the heart-warming message the soothing chords that define the track compound its emotional weight. That such arresting creativity is stitched to a tender but irrepressibly funky house groove peppered with fulsome bass makes the feeling all the sweeter.

'Just Believe' instantly sports a lighter tone, driven by a beat decorated with crystalline chimes and miniature flutters of human croon. Meanwhile 'What Can I Say' marks a ramp up in energy for the record with a swift tempo and a sound palette that looks equally to techno as it does to house. The plush square wave bass is the calling card of this track, running joyously through a filter for the duration to provide the peaks and troughs.

As an additional digital exclusive, 'Closer' offers another slice of impeccably delivered house music loaded with moody chords, a hooky 50s crooner sample and an irresistible Rhodes-led breakdown that truly shows off the compositional skills of this fast-rising duo.

French mastermind Francois-Xavier Michel aka Millimetric, who already work with David Carretta, Horrorist or The

Hacker, turns it into a phat analog electrostyle with spacey russian female vocals.

after some silence on credo due to the fact that alex was pretty busy with productions and numerous remixes for other labels, he kills it totally now with this outstanding twotracker. theory of noise delivers two unique technotracks and especially noise b shakes it down in sets all over with its remarkable groovepattern und heavy as well as warm bass structure. this is the adequate follow up on the black series of the label after the outstanding and regurarly repressed "dark summer nights" that came out two years go. alex in top-shape, grab it!

Andreas Baumecker (nd_baumecker) und Sam Barker (Voltek) überzeugen auf ihrer zweiten 12" für Ostgut Ton. Bei ihrem Boiler Room Live-Set vor einigen Wochen konnte man sehen wie unglaublich viel Gerät bei Barker & Baumecker zum Einsatz kommt. Andreas und Sam lieben analogen Sound und wenn sie live spielen bringen sie dafür eine Fabrikladung an Maschinen mit. Jetzt macht diese neue 12" auf ein interessantes Album gespannt.

Kareem Cali, the master behind Brooklyn's label Inmotion Music, is back on Amir and Butch's imprint with his first proper EP. Since his first bouq. appearance in january 2013 on the 6. bouq. friends & family ep Kareem's sound evolved a lot and we are very glad to have him back in our little playground.

The ICE LP was created by Maxim Wolzyn over a period of three years, mostly whilst touring throughout Germany by train as part of the Günther Lause duo. Spread over eight tracks, the LP poetically captures the complex networks of railways and tunnel systems that carry with them the thoughts and feelings of millions of people, aspiring to attain an overall impression of the collective consciousness of a society on the move.

Inspired sonically by the soundscapes of urban spaces, rail stations and the pulsing motions of modern mass transportation, various field recordings are mixed with reverberating synthesizer patterns and percussive composition, creating a mixture of straight forward techno and dystopian ambiences.

While being reminiscent of Berlin's dub techno tradition it also transcends the typical club context, moving into the realm of the intimate and personal. On black vinyl and limited to an edition of 300.

Different approaches in the use of machines and different influences, 3 'Techno Star' as Alex Bau, Luis Flores and Red Square, comparing their styles on Frankie Serious original tracks.
Mnestic / Roaches , 2 mental & hypnotic tracks where thin voices are supported by thumping rhythmic, result: a great techno groove!
The A Side, however, opens with Luis Flores Remix that completely transforms the original Mnestic into a more 'clubbing' version by enhancing the groove and the mentality, a perfect and elegant interlocking between voices and chords for a clear reminder of Detroit old school techno, but with whipping snare and other elements creating the perfect ambience in a 'cerebral and spiritual traditions of the land of the Maya'.
In the B-side, Red Square open, with great technique, make Roaches full of hypnotism, through repetitive and mental pads combine with a sharp rhythmic creating a totally visionary track.
The latest remix, first of Roaches original that closes the album, is from Alex Bau, where the rhythm and bass swell, becoming more powerful and hard, till to create a difficult job for the subwoofer, in the perfect 'Berlin Techno' style but with a Big Surprise waiting to be discovered in the middle of the track that only his genius could invent.
A vinyl that is in fact all a big surprise, track after track, in different styles and interpretations of three great artists on two perfects originals!

The hyper-chromatic music of Matt Cutler marks him out as a true
impressionist; as Lone, he drizzles brightly coloured melody through
his tracks with all the reflexive skill of a master painter daubing inks
and pigment across paper. On Cutler's fifth Lone album, Reality
Testing, released on R&S, he sends notes and chords rippling
delicately into space before allowing them to disperse, each oozing
beautifully away into the background fabric of the music. Combined
with rhythms that ebb and flow, shifting from propulsive club
constructions to beatific coastal hip-hop, it's a sensuous, immersive,
heady experience, and easily his most accomplished and selfcontained
work to date.

Dual is the debut EP by Sampha, out July 22nd 2013 on Young Turks.

Following the low-key online only release of Sundanza in 2010 plus his noted collaborative work with Jessie Ware, Lil Silva, SBTRKT and Koreless, this will be Sampha's first full solo outing. 

The record was put together over the last 18 months in the gaps between, and time after, an intense touring schedule with SBTRKT live. Working from his childhood home in Morden, the tracks were written, produced and mixed by himself in isolation. Offering an intimate and idiosyncratic glimpse into his artistic intent the EP, which includes 'Indecision', showcases Sampha's talents not only as a vocalist but more broadly as a songwriter and producer.

This time the hand of German Quantec, momentarily abandons those atmospheres characteristics and leads to a more usual forceful style.

A very clean and not too much saturation in style chords. Spaces warm and very danceable. Music definitely cheerful and very valid.

With The Chemist makes a turn to the more techno sounds where the baseline takes an important character in the composition of the track.

Depth Flotation and Lets Get Wasted, down a bit of character and are ideal companions in the suitcase of a DJ for their musicality and cadence that will make sure, wonders on the dance floor.

Um Überlegung, Ansporn, Auswahl, Prozess - also um eine ganze Menge eher mühevoller Tätigkeiten, denen man die Mühe am Ende gar nicht mehr anhört, weil alles so selbstverständlich und horizonterweiternd ineinander flutscht. Zwei Weisheiten aus dem Modeselektions-Einmaleins. Erstens: Eine Selektion ist immer so gut wie der Abstand zwischen ihren unterschiedlichsten Gliedern, je größer, desto besser. Zweitens: Eine Selektion ist umso besser, je öfter man überrascht wird und je mehr neue Entdeckungen zu machen sind. Bevor die Lichter angehen, hier noch ein paar harte Fakten: "Modeselektion Vol. 03" kommt erstmals ohne eigenen Modeselektor-Beitrag aus (vom Souleyman-Edit mal abgesehen), einfach, weil es so viel gute Musik von alten und neuen Freunden gab. Das Ganze ist daher erstmals auf einer Zweifach-CD zu haben, außerdem als Digital Bundle und, leicht abgespeckt, auch als Doppel-12-Inch-LP sowie auf zwei EP-Auskopplungen auf Vinyl. 19 Tracks, lauter süße Früchtchen. Das Maskottchen ist diesmal nicht umsonst der Ananasaffe.

An idea that took root in a Canadian basement has finally come to fruition. Trevor Wilkes has taken his enjoyment of just-left-of-center Techno and pulled in like minded individuals Paul Birken, Scott Robinson and TSR to help communicate that to those who still like their records. Jazzy beginnings, hairy upper lips, pieces of Bleep Radio shows that were pulled out of the mix, and snowballs in *Swedish bleeps*. With so much hip it's a wonder any of them can see over their own pelvis.

The newest release from M_Rec Ltd is one mean piece of techno vinyl. Hailing from Italy, Marco Piovesan follows previous releases signed under his PVS alias on Gynoid and H.omevvork with a four track 12" of no-bullshit techno. On the opener "Arsenal", an equally aggressive and groovy bass drum hosts layers of hypnotic sounds: this is a track crafted with the dancefloor in mind, a true driving force with an affective and gripping loop flow. While the darkness of the spacey soundwaves might remind the listener of the work of fellow Italian producers, the drum programming here is stomping and groovy, meant to shake. CTRLS takes this original and strips off all its lusciousness, transforming the track into a hybrid rave monster that seems to celebrate the best we've learned from the intelligence of Rephlex/Magnetic North releases, honest and excited techno.

On the flip side, "Intercellar" is a trippier affair. With its bell-driven melody almost solar, the track is an irresistible experiment where an updated soundscape pays tribute to the tunes that made our brains melt in the early 90s. Label owner Max_M grabs the opportunity and makes the remix a more muted and darker deal. Here, the bell loop meets a distorted melody making things a little nastier... composed, yet malicious.

Scan Mode and Alvaro Sanchez, two well-known and talented Spanish Djs, come together to run the so-called Raw Rootz alliance, which is also a new Record label.

Under this name, they produce house music on the basis of sounds from the legendary Roland TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines.

With their first release of a classic house music track, it becomes clear the path the label has chosen to follow that is under the influence of disco and funky music.
The EP also includes two juicy remixes, one from Alex Under and another from Felipe Venegas.

Alex Under has become a living legend in the european techno scene. He has provided us with a powerful 128 bpms techno track conceived to be a killer on the dancefloors.

Felipe Venegas is both, one of the most representative musicians in Chile's electronic music scene and, a very active member of Cadenza. His definition of house music manifests through the mix of lots of percussions drums and culminates with the production of such a track, that surely will be acclaimed by all Cadenza fans!

Having pummelled our floors with Bart Skils 'Shantaram', the Break New Soil faithful are set to enjoying a meeting of musical super-powers as label chief Gregor Tresher joins forces once again with Monika Kruse under their GTMK alias.

Having worked on projects together in the past, the German duo decided that now was the time to team up again. "Monika and myself have been friends for many years and have worked on quite a lot of music together" says Gregor. "We released two EPs in 2007 on Intacto and Terminal M and we also worked on Monika's 2008 album 'Changes Of Perception'. At the tail end of 2012 we decided that we should work on some new material and our new Break New Soil ep is the result."

As GTMK our duo present the arena-busting 'Calling East' and the gritty heads-down stomp of, 'Trooper.' The lead track is set to be a festival favourite with its euphoric synth riff, epic builds and bass swells, whilst on the flip its straight into battle as 'Trooper' drives on armed with its evil napalm-tipped kick drum.
