The Golden Gate EP is dedicated to Powder & Louder's favourite club: the Golden Gate in Berlin. The infamous Golden Gate is well known at Berlin's party people and rumoured to be opened the whole weekend long. The Chosen Two, who are Golden Gate residents at the Fish n Slips night, created the 'Zeit ist Gate' anthem in their unique style.

Next up is Der E-Kreisel, owner of Spoiler Music and great live performer. His funked up 'Welcome to Golden Gate' is a nice peak time roller and will heat up any frozen dance floor around.

Funkenstroem from Symbionten/Symbiont-Music comes with a deep tech house version of Der E-Kreisel's Welcome to Golden Gate song. The Symbioten are well known in Berlin's nightlife for hosting great nights (and mornings) at Golden Gate and releasing quality underground music!

Marcel Dettmann's letzte 12' für Ostgut Ton, die - Translation EP', ist nach über einem Jahr noch immer auf den Tanzflächen präsent. Auf der B-Seite - Push' schraubt sich ein vielschichtiges, artifizielles Vocal empor, das von strengen Beats und HiHats langsam aber sicher in den Wahnsinn getrieben wird. Recorded at John's last night at The Vagabond Nightclub in Downtown Miami during this year's Miami Music Week, 'LIVE IN MIAMI' features 37 tracks and nearly 4 hours of the very best underground electronic music, spanning across more than two decades.

Showcasing a wide selection of new and classic records ranging from as far back as 1992 (Secret Knowledge - Sugar Daddy) and 1993 (Nicole - A Small Entrance To A Large Spectrum and Laurent Garnier - Acid Eiffel) Digweed's latest opus effortlessly takes us through a vast array of sounds, eras and genres from what was an incredibly special night back in March of this year.

XDB returns on Dolly with the 'Ganivon' EP, the follow-up of his excellent 'Recago' ep from 2011. XDB is once again delivering the goods, with 3 top-notch contemporary techno tracks filled with his trademark hypnotic melodies, lush strings and solid groovin beats. Favourite is 'Tonik' with its classic Detroit-feel and special atmosphere. Berlin/Berghain based Answer Code Request is doing the remix job for 'Ganivon', resulting in an effective techno bomb which perfectly combines industrial techno elements with the Dolly feel. 'Recago' might have been hard to surpass, but XDB might just have done it. Big!

One of the most impressive Conrad Van Orton's works ushers the new firestart for Rsvd Records: "Eight days off" bears all the heirlooms of his previous famous tracks , such as the ones from the standalone Strepto's EP, adding further values to his sound-shaping capibility: the kick off track, Crescia, deals with a bassline swirl built on a solid stomping pure-techno beats. "Terra" dresses with heavy kick-drums and complex morphed scale in a bass-synth dialogue. On the side the mind-tripping exploration continues with Cornelia. The original mix pushes distorted hypnotic bass and razor-like hi-hats involved in tensed drone-made melody. After splitting a release with CHICAGO SKYWAY on the acclaimed #@&*! EP, the Chicago producer ISOKE is back with his sleeves rolled up and coming out swingin' with a massive, forward thinking sound on his "HOW TO SEDUCE CYBORGS" EP. The title track is a deep, bangin', tech'ed out anthem, perfect for both small or huge venues, followed by hard hitting "BONUS BEATS". The flip side features the boundary pushing, eighteen and a half minute long, hypnotic journey into sound that is "ALIYAH PART 1, 2, 3". HOUSE

The 12th Gynoid LTD vinyl series offers Philip Row's 'Slope', coming with a Jonas Kopp remix on this cool one-sided white vinyl pressing. Row's original helms a dark, shady, stabby plot, using all the right sounds on the exact same time. Heavy kicks, energetic rides and well-used clap sequences assure a spot in all true underground techno sets.

For the remix, high-roller Jonas Kopp gives acte de presence, and brings his big guns. Pretty raw and heavy, but still maintaining a real moving groove, Kopp's personal style blends perfectly with the sounds from Row's original. Great track for those who like their techno stripped back, yet very danceable and energetic.

Pressed Friends is my brand new vinyl label. The idea is to invite a like minded producer/friend on board to make an original track for a one sided vinyl split with myself. The friend is encouraged to stretch into new territory for himself. Here we see Myk Derill push forward into his own brand of that kind of Dub that sits right in between House and Techno. It creates a versatile record that both the house guys and the techno guys - and everyone in between - can jam out to.

Concomitance is a big, main room, 5am style hedonistic beast, with flourishes of acidic intent and wave after wave of booming drops
that draw you in again and again. There is deep and then there is deeeeeeeeep.
AIEOU is an altogether different vibe, much in the same vein as Pedestrian's Ndizi which came out on 2nd Drop last year, this
channels a powerful Afrocentric energy into a rolling, unsettling track that is at once beguiling and mysterious.
On the artwork, we're really happy to welcome back the supremely talented Jimmy Turrell, a well-respected designer and illustrator
who has worked with everyone from Fiat and Nike to The Guardian and Dazed & Confused. Asked to provide something inspired by
Afrocentricism and a twisted Heart of Darkness aesthetic, he came back with a wonderful collage of images that evoke the essence

Erol Alkan delivers two reworks of the Manic Street Preachers track 'Europa Geht Durch Mich.'. While 'Mesmerise Eins' takes the track on a peak-time acid trip, the warped out 'Mesmerise Zwei' comes ready for the blurred moments just before sunrise. Both mixes feature the voice of German actress Nina Hoss

Europa Geht Durch Mich was originally recorded in Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios. It is taken from Manic Street Preachers' forthcoming 12th album 'Futurology'.

Sandro Stebnitz, Manito Rotschild, and Dieter Flegel met in the late-nineties in Oldenburg Germany while working on the loading dock of the Leifheit Housewares shipping division. Through their monotonous days of shrink wrapping ovens and loading palettes of stainless steel cookware onto tractor trailers, the trio would often relay tall tales to each other simply to pass the time. One such delusional fantasy was that the trio would one day ditch their warehouse jobs and start a band not unlike their mutual hero, Gary Numan.

Their fantasy became somewhat of a reality when Dieter gained access to various pieces of musical equipment when his uncle Hans came upon a sudden and untimely death. Unphased by this tragic event, Dieter rallied up his small group and hit the garage, practicing and recording every evening in hopes of making it, just like Gary did.

Here we have on record, the only document of their time in the makeshift studio, a 15 minute electronic jam simply titled "Sketch 1"

We hope you enjoy listening to this just as much as Sandro, Manito, and Dieter did making it.

Hauntingly elegant this track flirts with Latino percussions intertwined with a masterful baseline and takes the dance floor to another planet, wilder yet contained. You could get lost if you close your eyes as the sounds twirl around you and sweep you off your feet. Luckily you don't leave the ground, as your feet are too busy grooving to the rhythm.

Elegance is Destroyed- Ryan Hawkin Remix
Ryan Hawkin's interpretation while being truthful to the original, stands out with his own personal stamp as he applies his artful way of introducing sounds as an aquarelle artist introduces colour, diluting the colours and using lighter lines and strokes, painting only the essential leaving the listener the luxury of colouring in the rest of this intense tableau. Soundscaping at its best.

Elegance is Detstroyed - Seph Remix
The wilderness of the original is underlined in this remix where we literally feel as the sounds have gone through a blender, as Seph's raw talent unleashes the groovy Latino undertones as he amalgamates the original sounds, and serves up an exquisite dance floor smoothie. Rhythm and percussion provide the same amount of concentrated vitamins which will be needed when listening to this track.

Eric Sneo - Wavox EP (AUST002) - incl. remixes by Kraemer and Niereich, Mike Ban and Dietmar Wohl.
Audio Stimulation Recordings proudly presents the labels second 12inch release since the debut EP Barotrauma in 2011. To honor such a great Artist, the decision to press Eric Sneo´s Wavox EP on wax was not as hard. With two originals he shows his skills again to make sure, to keep everybody awake! The first track "Wavox" introduces the EP with pure rhythmic synth weighted sequences. The beats and integrated vocals in the second track "Catch the Rye" are also completely out of control and catapult every listener in the electronic heaven.
The first remix comes from the well known underground pillars Andreas Kraemer and Niereich together as successful Austrian-German collaboration. With a slightly different style they show their diversity in resulting outputs one more time. Perfect combined rhythmic flows project a full danceable tune not only for the after hour.
The second track was laboured in the austrian manufactory of audio stimulation itself, from the cracks Mike Ban and Dietmar Wohl. With an enormous atmosphere they start their remix right away. Some wired vocal sounds that are laid behind a solid groove overheat every dance floor within seconds.
Audio Stimulation Recordings take part of the current electronic market again with another EP incl. some great remixes. A good combination of Artists round this EP to a brain-washing package. Play it loud, over and out!

Three years after his last full-length album on Delsin, tireless techno producer Mike Dehnert is back with another one to be released on March 17th 2014. The 104th release on Delsin, entitled Lichtbedingt, counts 12 tracks and is yet another subtle evolution away from the chord driven, functional sound he has championed before now.

Since his last album, Dehnert has continued to steer his Fachwerk label through the techno undergrowth and it has now amassed more than 25 releases in all. At the heart of the label's output has been Dehnert's own increasingly experimental techno and this new album is testament to the producer's continued exploration of the form. Where Framework was, in the words of Mike himself, 'focussed on the heavy techno form', this album explores broken bass, swinging house and beatless electronic experimentalism amongst other things.
'I love to release music. I still enjoy the album writing process very much,' says Mike, before adding, 'I have noticed that sometimes the success of a track depends on the light at club, which is why the album is called Lichtbedingt, meaning 'depends on light!''

The album starts off with a suitably sombre intro that features cold, slowly shifting synths. They set an uneasy and moody tone before 'Construction' settles into a fat, swaggering. From there you get lost in broken, ruptured, malfunctioning bits of hardware that spit out random hi hats, bleeps and gurgles and then eventually get spat out the other side into a cantering bit of dubwise techno with paranoid vocal snippets.

Moving along, the album throws plenty of diverse influences into the mix: 'Movement' is freaky and dynamic, skipping and pumping, ducking and diving through all sorts of occult synth sounds and shadowy vocal loops then 'Single Action' is like a sledge hammer groove run through with harmonic elements that glint and glisten like diamonds in the rough. Classic sounding Dehnert tracks like 'ReRe' remind us where this producer has come from, whilst the breezy house swagger of 'Emlo' show us where he might be headed.

Key to this album and Dehnert's output as a whole is, besides the killer grooves, the production: crisp and clean, full blooded and always outstanding, it makes his tracks leap out of the speakers and into minds, bodies and souls without relying on the usual tropes or same old cheap tricks.

The 12 track album was written and produced since the turn of 2013 and mixed with Erol Alkan at 'The Phantasy Sound', the label's own studio in London. Innovative and forward thinking, Drone Logic manages to draw influences from beyond the dancefloor via My Bloody Valentine, NEU! and Chris Carter while still having the techno pulse to scale the walls of any club. The wide array of plaudits and early adopters of Avery's music is proof of this, ranging from acid house legends like The Chemical Brothers, Andrew Weatherall and Richie Hawtin to the best of the new breed in Maya Jane Coles, James Holden and Factory Floor. A1, Gully rattles along at a brisk 135 bpm, a raw yet versatile DJ tool imbued with a sense of impending danceoor mischief. The A2 Dun Kno then drops the pace down while pursuing a subtler, more melodic arc. On the ip, B1 Roy Batty carries with it its namesake's sense of menace as its escalating synth stabs drive the track onwards. EP closer Harlyns Dub strips things down for the deepest track of the 12", with FOLD's love for dubbier elements of techno brought to the fore.

As the Motech label moves into a new decade, DJ 3000 and friends - in this case, Dapayk Solo, Mr O and T. Linder - unite to present this varied EP featuring four exclusive and previously unreleased tracks.
Berlin's Niklas Worgt kicks things off with the deep and sexy 'Here I Am' under his Dapayk Solo pseudonym, which has seen him release on the likes of Mo's Ferry Prod, Karloff, Textone, Contexterrior and Trapez amongst others.
Mr O from Detroit Grand Pubahs has been weighing in with more solo releases in recent months like 'Mysterious Sights' (Deteledub) and the soon to be released 'I Just Want Normal' (Engineroom). Here he heads straight to the dancefloor for a serious techno workout on 'Stromboli Revisited'.
Motech's own king of the groove, Franki Juncaj revisits his DJ 3000 moniker for 'La Samba Albanez' where his various influences as a Detroiter with Eastern European ancestry combine together with a heavy dose of spicy Latin beats and samba keys for this party-starter.
Finally, fellow motor city native and Detroit Techno Militia co-founder, T. Linder gives us the jacking, looped-up 'Broken Border'. Having DJed for a number of years, it was only in 2007 that he released his first EP but he has since gone on to remix Detroit techno legends like Scan 7 and K. Hand.

Giuseppes's "Butterflies In Your Stomach" ep sees the label continue its stunning run of quality releases.

The long awaited debut LP from Dark Sky is not entirely what you might expect from the London trio. After a string of club focused 12"s they delve deep to deliver a tender and uplifting offering entitled 'imagin.' To the sworn fan it may come as a surprise, but it will prove to be a pleasant one, as the evolution from the analogue metallic sounds that shaped their past discography naturally mature and slide into the sound palette of imagin.
Through heavy consumption of music from across the spectrum the trio's work has refined, and clearly echoes their heritage as kids of the 90's, referencing numerous influences the decade processed - the album bears traces of funk, post rock, a thick layer of trip hop, even balearic house, bossa nova, disco, 80ies pop and ambient. All of it heavily reverberated, stirred and shaken in Dark Sky's musical tumbler.
The outcome is captivating. Littered with sophisticated percussion, soft and subtle marimbas fused with sci-fi synths and tastefully delivered vocals throughout. Grey Reverend features on the lead single 'Silent Fall' to beautiful effect, with an outcome sitting somewhere between James Blake and Moderat. Elsewhere Cornelia (of Portico Quartet fame) delivers Elizabeth Fraser - like vocals on 'Nothing Chances,' 'Vivid' and 'Purple Clouds' providing a perfect soundtrack to the late summer.
Long standing Dark Sky fans will also be pleased to hear that there are more club orientated tracks on their too. 'Odyssey's' dark spacey arpeggios and growling bass line reminds us of their seminal electro-roller 'Confunktion,' but comes delivered complete with euphoric almost balearic stabs and straight stacked 4 x 4 hi-hats. 'Rainkist' is a soul laced dance floor ballade featuring vocals from an unlikely source in the form of d-Bridge with huge crossover potential, and 'Manuka' finally brings back the breakbeat with its percussive far-east vibes that evoke Truth Hurts & Rakim's 'Addictive,' which fittingly sums up this album.

Nous #4 is here and is possibly the most resoundingly mercurial release to come out of the fledging stable thus far, featuring 5 moody, tracky cuts by Berlin's enigmatic Spoiled Drama.
The show stealer comes courtesy of NY's Patricia who takes the lead track's disembodied vocal sample and proceeds to intertwine it around an at once sinister yet beatific piece of atmospheric po-mo techno.

Despite making a impression with rough-hewn techno records on TAANSTAFL and his own Tallmen imprint, Brian Mitchell aka Tallmen.785 is a relative newcomer to the genre. Arriving in Berlin to continue studying jazz guitar - a craft he'd been learning in New York from legendary jazz musicians Ornette Coleman and Lawrence D. 'Butch' Morris - it was a long night in Berghain that steered him toward electronic music.
Mitchell hasn't altogether discarded his jazz learning, having successfully applied for and won a grant from Musicboard Berlin - an organization that allocates state funding for creative music projects - based on a his pitch for a new project in which the Kansas native plans to combine jazz and Delta Blues with the Detroit and Berlin sounds that have shaped his musical outlook as it is today.
'Mississippi, Detroit and Berlin share common stories to me because they have all seen, and still see very hard times and they have a strong musical history connected to folk music,' says Mitchell. 'When I listen to John Lee Hooker, I hear Jeff Mills and Robert Hood. One chord, maybe two, one foot pounding on a wood floor, sometimes at around 130 bpm. John Lee Hooker lived in Detroit for an extend period of time, worked for Ford Motor Company and somehow the machine funk that would later inform Drexcyia was already being investigated by Mr. Hooker.'
The 'Blues In Roots' series will take the form of three 12s released over the course of 2014, with an organic fusion of Mitchell's Delta Blues-inspired instrumental musicianship and the tough raw techno production he has mastered in his Tallmen.785 guise, creating a sound that traces a natural musical lineage from Berlin & Detroit all the way back to early 20th century southern USA. 'In the south, they had a wood floor and a guitar, in Detroit and Berlin they have synthesizers, samplers and drum machines. That is where these two seemingly divided worlds collided, and gave me the inspiration to make my music rooted in this specific angle.

VENT pushes forward, and the result is its third installment of raw and unpretentious techno, consisting of the visions of label boss Tolga Baklacioglu, and a reinterpretation from Skirt. Tolga communicates in his characteristically straightforward manner, which is important for VENT, and he wants to talk to us about what is hidden inside.

Restless Punk is what we all are deep inside. While during the day we display calm and patience, and that we are always in control, on the night we let show that we are all just restless punks looking for the next thrill, eager to revel in the night, with no time to waste on false mannerisms and dilettantism.

Skirt takes Tolga's message to a deeper level, lodging it further into our minds. She lends an unrelenting quality to the original that only serves to further enhance its significance.

Hidden Beneath lets us know that Tolga's philosophy isn't just the brash words of a fiery soul, but that of someone who knows what a vast landscape exists in each and every one of us. DFA takes two artists who released different sorts of summer psychedelia on DFA this year and pairs them with 2 fantastic new remixers / producers who have both done work for L.I.E.S. , Anthony Naples (whose personal obsession with Black Dice made him an obvious candidate for the job) & Bookworms (who Larry Gus watched play live @ Output this year mouth agape.) Mr. Loser, the second release on Rinse from techno-house explorer HRDVSION, further hones the sound he's become increasingly renowned for: a blisteringly taut, deceptively catchy strain of cybernetic house. The influence of both electro and classic minimal techno bubbles through the EP's four tracks, with their robotic melodies and mechanistic funk gradually evolving over long run-times, drawing the dancefloor deep into the groove.

Lead track 'Mr. Loser' sets the EP off in dynamic form, its vocal chants and hi-hat airlock hiss corralled into a peak-time stomp of huge proportions - a drop into freaky near-silence halfway through only serves to emphasise the impact when the track launches back into full action. 'It Hurts' is pure sci-fi techno-romanticism, opening with two minutes of neon-striplit ambience before the beat emerges, drawing the track along in a melancholy haze. 'Organized Crime' suits its name, its mood of all-pervasive intrigue emerging from a complex mesh of fluorescent melodies, promising total club hypnosis. 'Swan Dive' brings the EP to a close with crystalline grace, melodies that ripple and shimmer around clipped beats. 'Phenix 1' is the first in a series of three releases that represent a bold new chapter in an already diverse career. 'After 'Triangulation' I made a conscious effort to do the opposite thing that people expected of me', Scuba himself explains, '..which is obvious in the contrast between that album and the 'Adrenalin' EP, the 'Personality' album and then the 'Talk Torque' and 'Hardbody' singles - those two tracks especially were the furthest I could push that approach. I feel like it's time to move on now and the Phenix series is quite a large step away from that sound and that approach to things.'

Having originally made his name as a pioneering dubstep producer in the genre's formative period, Scuba has since gone on to develop a distinctive sound incorporating elements of house, techno and even disco. Inspired (though not defined) by a move in 2007 to Berlin and close ties to it's revered Berghain club, he has continually set the benchmark for others to follow in the world of underground electronic music. Now intent on exhibiting a different sonic approach to that which made him a fixture in top clubs across the globe, Scuba is ready to make waves with the first installment of the Phenix series.

'There's still a strong dance floor element to it all but with a much greater emphasis on mood and atmospherics', Scuba himself says of the EP. 'There are elements of all the different stages my production work has taken in previously too, but the result is a bit different to all of them.'

Full to the brim with ingenuity and underpinned by a firm desire to tread it's own path, Scuba's 'Phenix 1' ranks as some of the most intriguing work of his career to date.

Enigmatic artists from Eastern Europe had a ace in their sleeve when they came out with the project of Suburbs. They come up with the most mystical sound for their first EP on Archipel under "Plaeisii." The strange classical texture swirl with a very lush rhythm that at first, appear to be extremely predictable but then, as you listen carefully, you get caught up on the most capturing pattern. The main song as well as Amorf both are music for the soul and will be played in very special moment that will have people close their eyes to enjoy the shifting mood.

For Serkal's eleventh release, we are proud to present the 'Revolver Beatz' EP. Living up to his reputation as a skillful tactician in the studio, the 'Russian King Of Funk' Tripmastaz has provided us with three of his latest groove filled productions. Considered to be the DJ responsible for entrancing the 'ruski' club faithful with a decade of disco-funk mania, Tripmastaz truly exemplifies his emotion driven musicality throughout his Serkal debut. Kicking off the EP is 'Lite'. Falling into a very specific 'sunrise or sunset' record category, 'Lite' is the perfect track to enhance a soul searching adventure. Engulfing listeners with an array of piano melodies, euphoric highs, and the type of rhythms normally heard on the White Isle, 'Lite' provides the perfect vibe to truly let yourself go while falling into the music. Delving a bit deeper on his next production, Tripmastaz presents 'Revolver Beatz'. Offering listeners a rare opportunity to clearly understand the artist's creative process, 'Revolver Beatz' starts off as what appears to be a basic minimal track as it leaves us anxiously waiting for more. Suddenly a new element appears, then another, and towards the end you unknowingly find yourself hooked as this seductive tune continuously manifests into an intricate masterpiece. The third and final track, dubbed 'Soulseeking', is yet another prime example of Tripmastaz' artistic versatility. Laced throughout with booming kicks that are supplemented by a deep rolling bassline, 'Soulseeking' presents the perfect balance of crowd-pleasing drops infused with vocal fueled breakdowns. Handling the remixing duties is one Mobilee's most respected artists, Ray Okpara. Bringing forth a more bass driven production compared to it's counterpart, Okpara's Serkal debut adds an invigorating dynamic to Tripmastaz' eclectic EP.

Cristian has more than 25 prizes (best label, best producer...) along more than 17 years of recognised career. Cristian has a massive worklist with more than 150 productions and compositions for the most prestigious international labels and companies such as Sony/BMG- Blanco&Negro- , Intec , Elephanthaus, Pornographic recordings (which he owns together with Marco Bailey) and now Bitten the fresh new label runned by 2000 and One and Sandy Huner.

Astronaut Music was founded in 2008 with the aim of showcasing a wide spectrum of dance music
and now on their sixth release, the label has stayed true to that promise. This Space Disco 2014 EP
features two fantastic remixes of Hungarian artist Godspeed by Solee and Oliver Schories. Both
tracks were previously released on other EPs back in 2011 but get a full re-issue here.

Solee has released under many different aliases since the nineties, has run his own respected label
and has graced the likes of Noir Music, Get Physical and John Digweed's Bedrock. Hamburg's Oliver
Schories, meanwhile, has spent the last decade plus producing and DJing a dizzying array of styles
from d&b to 2-step, electronica to rave, and has done so on Ostwind Records, Parquet and many
others.

'Stage Whisper' (Solee Remix) is an electrifying bit of spine tingling house music designed for
maximum impact in a club's main room. The rubbery, slick kick drums are the driving force of the
track as widescreen, deep space synths that stretch out in all directions. The subtle filters and pristine
production make this a magical cut that really sweeps you off your feet.

Next, 'Astronaut Voices' (Oliver Schories Remix) is just as studiously well crafted. It's a more
sensitive affair to start with thanks to the serene string intro that sets an emotive tone, but then the
gallivanting kick drums land and the track accelerates through the galaxies. Pained vocals lurk in the
mix and add yet more depth to what is already an all-conquering house tune.

Once again here Astronaut Music has come up with some suitably terrific music for their 6th
EP.

strangeness. It liberates forces within us which are dominated by our reason during the daytime.'
Like Brassaï, Roger Semsroth has spent the last decade trawling the shadows and writing in the dark. But where the seamy streets of nocturnal pre-WWII Paris provided the canvas for Brassaï's widely heralded photography, it's the sonic sluices of post-war Berlin and from the self-contained netherworlds of the city's underground techno nexus that Sleeparchive derives from.
Taking its title from one of Brassaï's famous sequence of prints, 'A Man Dies In The Street Pt.2' presents the second round of the eight track project developed by Sleeparchive (along with three secret locked grooves.)

As ever the genius is in the reductive palette, that here Semsroth paints into a rich splay of emotions mimicking the initial anxious discovery of the body, the curiosity of the gathering crowd, the excitement and building anticipation through to an aggressive and pummelling sense of realisation on the close. But is it at the loss of life, or the loss of spectacle As Brassaï toys with ambiguity in his photographs, Sleeparchive's music is just as hazy, deep and full of shady nuances that, like treasure, only appear if you're willing to keep probing.

With the release of Alberto Pascual´s 'Modeler EP", CLR welcomes a new artist to the label roster while the Madrid based DJ/producer adds another record to his remarkable list of releases on respected Techno imprints, including the legendary Drumcode LTD and Plus 8. CLR076 contains four brand-new compositions of crystal clear, bass-heavy and enthralling Techno from one of Spain´s internationally renowned players. His tracks have been accurately described as 'nebulous and aerial groove material dedicated to the suave, stretched and paced night-time' and his efficient production style abstains from any unnecessary element or gimmick. The four tracks focus on the essential roots of uncompromising, absorbing Techno and the individual track titles 'Modeler", 'Doer", 'Modifier' and 'Sculptor", which are all related to some kind of hand-made work, might as well be a reference to this original and honest production ethos. Alberto Pascual is one of those restless creators of raw, solid Techno who should be kept closely under watch and the present 'Modeler EP' is another faultless and intriguing CLR release.

Since a few months of silence Indigo Aera returns with a series of new exiting releases. Kickstarting the new season with one of Parisian's finest: Antigone. Besides being a resident at Parisian's Concrete movement, Antigone is responsible for highly acclaimed releases on Construct Re-form and Ars Mechanica, Children Of Tomorrow and the Concrete label itself.

Antigone's signature sound is a fine blend of soul searching strings on top of cutting edge sci-fi techno rhythms as evidenced by the eerie and spine tingling 'Words Of Silences'. Next, 'Third From The Sun' is a much quicker and more frantic but just as smooth and deep techno cut with

Beginning in 2011 with a series of white label releases, Dense & Pika's few but astutely plotted steps have propelled a rapid rise to prominence.

A heavy focus on analogue equipment, releases on Hotflush and the recent development of a live performance have enabled them to stamp an indelible mark on modern Techno with their success being largely attributable to the clarity and consistency of their output.

Brash hats, concrete kicks and febrile breakdowns form the foundations of their productions. In a natural progressive step the duo are now channeling focus towards using their own imprint to explore the wider potential of their canon in amongst the company of others.

Introducing 'Kneaded Pains' - an outlet allowing Alex and Chris to bring new and established artists together under a shared love of bullish and brazen Techno.

Stepping in for the inaugural release is Sheffield born James Welsh. The Hypercolour affiliate follows up a slew of successful releases and engineering work for Reverend and the Makers with his 'Gentinetta' EP.

Due for release on the 5th of May the EP sees James detach himself somewhat from his habitual sound as he clings to the remit and delivers three cuts as bold as they are banging.

KP001 shows Kneaded Pains beginning as they mean to go on. With the introduction of the label, shows across the U.K and Europe and Dense & Pika appearing as guests on Skream's Radio 1 show there's no sign of upward momentum slowing.

Profound techno with soul is what the heart of Tim Xavier is beating for. Tim is not only our first choice when it comes to mastering with his company 'Manmade Mastering", but also because his second single on Upon You Records has hit the bulls eye. The American born brought MC G-Tech into his studio, whose deep vocals on A1 'Space Jockey' explode like a grenade. The following track 'Inflight Modulation' features a central acid line that remorselessly drills into your ear. With the B-side track 'The Long Grind", he takes his time to highlight the fact that this is no Tech-House, instead a grounded techno release in the classic, old school style.

Dutch DJ, producer and Wolfskuil label boss Darko Esser is to self-release his sophomore album, Anipintiros, in April 2014. The eight track album comes four years after his debut and is his first as Tripeo, the techno leaning alias he has been working under most often in recent times.

Working as Tripeo has reinvigorated Esser, who under his own name has been producing his unique take on electronic music for a decade now. 'It was liberating to have another persona take over,' says the man himself. 'I have been so inspired and productive ever since that I woke up one day with the thought 'I'm ready to do another album' and started straight away that day.'

Tripeo music is aimed squarely at the dancefloor, and there sure are some full blooded cuts on the album, but so to are there concessions to the listening experience, meaning deep, dark passages and more leftfield experiments help tie the whole thing together into one cohesive and coherent whole. 'Like all albums, this is a very personal statement,' explains Esser. 'It's just me trying to translate the overwhelming inspiration I feel right now into sound. That, and making the record as diverse as possible without losing the purist identity of Tripeo.'

That identity shines through right from the off on the album, which has been made using a knowing blend of both soft and hardware. 'Anipintiros #1' is a firmly rooted, rubbery bit of deep techno that works you into hypnosis and comes detailed with plenty of otherworldly ambiances. From there, Tripeo explores gallivanting techno run through with celestial pads on 'Anipintiros #2' and tripped out, ever shape shifting and dusty minimal sounds on 'Anipintiros #3'.

'Anipintiros #4' channels the widescreen and pumping techno of Detroit's finest whilst 'Anipintiros #5' is a more industrial and muscular track of the sorts that would sound perfect in the bowels of Berghain. 'Anipintiros #6' is one of the busier and more kinked techno rhythms with punchy drums and fax machine like melodies, before 'Anipintiros #7' thumps with real menace and 'Anipintiros #8' hums and hisses, spits and stutters like the suitably epic and melodic comedown you need after such a captivating ride.Everything, though is backed with serene synth work and an otherworldly sense of alien spirit that runs through all great techno.

There is plenty to get lost in throughout Anipintiros and it proves once again that Esser is someone able to coax far more feeling out of his machines than most.

Since 2012 the Sheffield-based producer has carved a steadfast reputation with an ascetic production technique augmenting the dread and atmosphere of early DMZ dubs with the velocity
of classic Grime and Bleep Techno, and the haughty rudeness of early New York House, minting a distinct new sound which sent shockwaves thru the scene thanks to his now-legendary showcase mix for Keysound.
Beneath's PAN 12' consolidates up-to-the-minute electronics and rooted dancefloor dynamics with incisive style and pattern. All four tracks are skeletal but big boned rollers' riddims and masterful exercises in dancefloor pressure. 'Bored 2' is rent with cattle-prod Grime stabs and a show-stealing, radioactive bass roil, whereas
the hunched, grimy rolige of 'Occupy' is all about his shifty, idiosyncratic syncopation. 'One Blings' cools out on buoyant subs with glass-cut electronic motifs standing miles out from his scene, and 'Stress 1' trips out with restless drums and lucid electronics tessellating dipping rhythms with skin-prickling harmonic resonance. It adds up to the freshest mutation of accelerated UK dub/SoundSystem culture, stoking an aesthetic extant since the first rumblings of Saxon Studio International and Coxsone in the late '70s/early '80s, thru the forward leanings of the contemporary UK sound in 2014, mapping the software timbres and possibilities of new technology to the timeless mantra of rudeboy dub
proper, yielding maximum affect from optimised elements.

Best known for his work on L.I.E.S and with Steve Summers as Confused House, Nik Dawson aka Bookworms drops an absolute banger on Barcelona based label Anomia. Fans of the hazy textures of Confused House here will be surely taken a back by the fact that the opening gambit on this EP, "Mechanism" is utterly tonking. "Photogenic" is another rushing weapon, while the closing track is a beautiful ambient piece. Seriously killer EP, we can not recommend this enough!!

DJ Stingray drops one of his most intense electro bangers to date, "Assassin" no holds barred minimal, industrial-tinted and ghetto-ready electro for the dance floor! On the flip Vin Sol's San Fran "Homo-House" anthem "Edges Of A Vortex" gets a vinyl pressing after setting the underground on fire, having since been picked up by Defected records and reworks of Sade and SooWavey 12s selling out in minutes.. Don't sleep on dis shit!!!!

The third release from the label and artist. PAPS003 brings a varied 4 track EP, exploring squelchy saw waves, slow and fast acid laden jams and everything else inbetween.

The first release of 3RD starts with ad.lib and his driving and stripped down track "Yamato" - a reduced arrangement of repeating patterns and evolving layers of sounds. A spot on statement of what techno means to him. Myk Derill is the first remixer to join 3RD. His excellent remix on Yamato keeps the monotonous spirit of the original while he adds some wild filter sweeps and shifts the sound aesthetic to what you expect for a real peak time dancefloor track. Patrick Krieger adds "Atosch". A raw and percussive bass track with an organic and catchy groove - nothing more to be said. S-Tek (the old school synth loving boy in this winning team) completes the EP with "Tiberium Infection". A classic and effective Berlin/Detroit rooted track. Heavy basses and a never ending evolving hook.

As Public Information drive down rain-slicked analogue motorways and head first into their second EP series release, following an IVVVO dispatch in September 2013. This time Ralph Cumbers AKA Some Truths AKA Bass Clef is behind the wheels. The clue is in the title. Tom 'BugBrand' Bugs, denizen of Bristol, electronic sound devices engineer, maker and creator. The four tracks here are dedicated to his craft and design: the thrill of the analogue-surprise, the crunch of the circuit, the twist of the patch cable, the white-hot burn of solder on board. But it takes a real master to make sense of these machines, Public Information are so happy to have one in their midst.

Long-time wielder of the modular-flame, Ralph Cumbers has a distinguished CV for the likes of Punch Drunk and his own Magic+Dreams imprint. Here, across four extended sequences he shines, taking the crystalline drive and coarse groove of the acclaimed Reeling Skullways LP into hotwired groove zones.

'Sometimes the only way out is to go further in' starts the trip. Take care dear listener; once you're in track one, you may not want to escape from its grip, its cyclical riffs, its space dust licks, its buttered bass notes. Then, the sadness. The mournful minor key shuffle of 'elsewhen' is sheer blue-note Blade Runner melancholy. Then, the euphoria. Instant gratification hits you on 'faster than the speed of love' a click-pump-click-pump kick surrounded by jagged sawtones, straight to the chest. Through swirling, speed-addled melodies Clef then leads us - Detroit nights under Hackney sodium lights. Then, to a breath. Bugbranded arrives at an all too premature end with 'neon black and vulcane' a glistening collage of white noise splash, acidic whispers and head-nod-chug.

This is techno how it was dreamed in Belleville, re-imagined by a genius with a synth or three. In Clef we trust, for all our magic and dreams.

Spring 2014 will see Dutch label Dekmantel release the debut full-length album from New Jersey producer, DJ and Inimeg Records boss Joey Anderson. Entitled After Forever, the album is the natural next step for a producer who has turned out plenty of deep and intriguing techno EPs for labels like Latency, Deconstruct Music and Syncrophone over the last couple of years.

Having been championed by the connoisseur likes of Levon Vincent and DJ Qu before the rest of the world cottoned on, Anderson's style has proved to be truly idiosyncratic, where near bottomless techno grooves get run through with haunted piano lines, shadowy synth work or elegant drones. There are barely ever any claps or snares, instead just plenty of deeply hypnotic kicks and plenty of noir tension.

'Every track on the album has its own take on my personality, my mentality musically and my vision of off-dancefloor music,' says Joey. 'I find it very difficult to create something for people just to like. I'd rather pay attention to making them get close to the album and uncover the ideas within it. Being my first LP, it's dedicated to my two daughters, Akatriel and Auset.'

As well as two tracks that were released on Anderson's previous Dekmantel EP, the album offers nine new cuts and kicks off with 'Space Between Curtains'. Haunting, saddened piano keys linger in the air above metallic synth sounds for the emotive duration of the track. Then there's the teary eyed, end-of-the-world yet optimistic vibe of 'Space Colors Ideas'. After that various intimate moods are explored, from heavy and ominous on 'Maidens Response' to celestial and cautiously uplifting on 'Archer's Ceremony' via 'Amp Me Up', which sees Anderson's spacious and atmospheric style suck you in with its weird, gurgling machine noises unravelling above an unchanging drum track.

It's an album that demands and indeed warrants close inspection, and is the sort of work that really transports you deep into another world far away from here. With After Forever, then, Joey Anderson confirms he crafts moody and atmospheric techno like few others.

Chance McDermott native of Kalamazoo, halfway between Detroit and Chicago (the birthplaces of techno and house music) grow up listening to radio hot mix tapes from DJ's like the Wizard(aka Jeff Mills) to Farley Jack Master Funk, although resources were limited in Kalamazoo it was only a matter of time before he was on his way to synthesisers, drum machines, and sequencers. He started creating his own sound, a unique style of Detroit hard minimal funky techno with a Chicago deep soulful sound of house. He quickly began to garner attention in 1994 as Chancellor on Black Nation Records, which caught the attention of labels in Europe such as Missile, and Sativae Recordings. Chance continues to release music all over the planet that inspires others keeping the legacy alive.
