Frigio is very honored to release the biggest and most important Spanish electronic project of all times 'Esplendor Geometrico'. From the early 80´s until today, they´ve been delivering the most authentic, raw and powerful industrial electronics you can hear.

'Francotirador' which means 'Sniper' is a track recorded back in 1989 that has only been released on a rare CD Japanese edition in the 90´s and now for the first time gets released on vinyl including the original plus 3 remixes by Sneaker who previously did a remix for Twilight Ritual, Juanpablo the head of Frigio Records and Spanish producer Vinz Vincenzo. 'Francotirador' is pure analogue drums with a strong 'tribal industrial' approach.

Although we are big fans of EG, we must admit that we didn´t know about this song until we heard Sneaker´s remix a few years back when he felt the need to try an even darker and versatile version of it. His remix is complimenting the original drum loop starting with rare stomping Chicagoesque drum work, switching from demonic string-chords to male vocal staccatos, rave hits and back again, finding it's point-of-no-return in a Sartre-like fulminant ending.

On B side, Juanpablo and Vinz Vincenzo get together to create a remix with two versions. Both versions keep the raw percussions from the original with some deep industrial sounds and added some drum elements to make it more groovy, modern and ready to burn dancefloors. Some dark vocals appear randomly to add more flavor to this mixture that we guarantee will be very hard to describe as usual on Frigio Records

To mark a decade of their live techno outfit, Exercise One release a new album and series of vinyl remix EPs by friends and fellow travellers from along the road.




Choosing 10 remixes for their 10 years of performing live and 9 tracks on the album for 9 years of releasing records. For the EPs, Exercise One invited some of their talented friends from along the journey to remix their favourite tracks of the duo's back catalogue, for vinyl and digital release. On EP 1/3 you find on Side A the orignal Album Tracks - Verlooka' & - Gatium' accompanied by two remixes of their back catalogue hits - 12 Years' (originally released on Lan Muzic, 2006) and the Top Score - Stop Thinking! (originally released on Cocoon Recordings, 2011) Sigha drains the colour and offers up a typically stark translation of '12 Years' and former studio mate Deadbeat turns in a dub-indebted remix of the Cocoon released 'Top Score' that's all spaced stabs and booming kicks! With the unyielding 4x4 thump and haunting motifs of 'Verlooka' ushering in tracks that capture the vitality of the pairs much lauded live act. 'Gatium' finds them at their most arresting, exercising the kind of restraint that renders every spluttering synth-line utterly captivating.

Distraction Records are proud to present Necro Deathmort's first foray in the world of vinyl with EP1. And, as you'd expect again, it's yet another change of pace for the duo, supplementing their doomy ambience and whirlpools of 23Hz low-end, with 70's evil filthy synth and 90's harsh, pummeling techno, with frequencies cutting, slicing and bursting all over the place. Think the likes of the The Tuss, Goblin, Underground Resistance, John Carpenter, maybe even Tangerine Dream, Surgeon, or The Horrorist.


Necro Deathmort - AJ Cookson and Matthew Rozeik - are the duo that emerged from London's underground doom scene with a sound described by theQuietus as "Veering seamlessly between dub-infused electronica, pounding sludge and experimental noise, their music is as intriguingly fresh as it is furiously grim." Their first album proper, This Beat is Necrotronic, came out in 2009 on Newcastle's Distraction label; and picked up steam as a sleeper word-of-mouth hit until aQuarius Records made the album a Record of the Week. Soon, NDM were very much in demand, playing festivals and touring Europe, and going from strength to strength following their albums Music of Bleak Origin (2011) and The Colonial Script (2012).

The last few years have saw Necro Deathmort play Sonar, Supersonic, Asymmetry, CTM, Soy and Audioscope festivals, as well as internationally renowned doom-fest Roadburn. They've remixed Steven Wilson, Ulver, RA, Dead Fader and Altar of Plagues. NDM have also played alongside Ulver, Atari Teenage Riot, Godflesh, GY!BE, Shining (NOR), Ufomammut, The Haxan Cloak, Dub Trio, dUSK, Sleep, Warm Digits, and Altar of Plagues.

It's Jam City's turn to deliver a batch of sweaty, streamlined dancefloor weapons on the 6th installment of the Club Constructions series. The minimalism and intensity of Jersey Club music remains a huge influence on the whole Night Slugs camp, and while Jersey's impact can be felt across the CC series, Jam City channels those devastating ghostly kick drums like none other. Continuing on from where he left off with club favourites "The Courts" the "How We Relate To The Body", Jam drops 5 lean and intense drum workouts build from scrap metal and primed for warehouse use. They move between thudding midrange persistence and just-sub-and-air minimalism, framed by jammed drum machine rhythms and splashes of re-sampled colour. Jam decorates these sturdy and well-deployed undercarriages with silvery detail, percussion fragments, broken talkboxes, whispered vox and simple, beautiful chords.

For our third release, we welcome back the collaborative efforts of our three family members Mia Dora, HaHaHa & Raksha. Joining forces once again, they depart from the awkward rhythms and stuttered arrangements of their first joint outing and instead offer up a slab of relentless, dance floor shattering techno. From the opening, an almost hypnotic drum pattern comprised of both live and synthesised sounds fills the track with atmosphere and instills a real sense of urgency in the listener. The moment the bassline is introduced, however, the purpose of Ill-defined becomes clear - to bring your warehouse party crashing to it's knees one drop at a time. On the flip, the ever adept Dam Mantle has take time to offer up what must be described as a re-edit in the truest sense of the word. Extending and re-imagining the track in his own unique way, he opens by somehow adding an extra sense of menace to the already unnerving original. As it grows, things move in a completely different direction and the final sexed up, key driven crescendo leaves you wondering how you got there in the end. Livity Sound, the Bristol-based label trio of Tom Ford (Peverelist), Joe Cowton (Kowton) and Craig Stennett (Asusu), announce the
release of CD compilation Livity Sound. Since late 2010 their Livity Sound label has released a series of vital 12"s by all three
producers. Low-key, hand-stamped white labels, with tracks cut loud for optimal sound system use, they contain some of the most
exciting and visceral UK dance music of recent years - placing Pev's exquisitely balanced rhythm science alongside Kowton's grime-
infused techno and Asusu's atmospheric, percussive club tracks.
Livity Sound gathers together all six Livity Sound 12"s released to date alongside Pev & Kowton's 'Raw Code' and 'Junked', which
were released in early 2013 on Hessle Audio. These are joined by four brand new tracks, by Pev & Kowton and Pev & Asusu, which
are due for release on two additional 12"s in the coming months.
The seeds of Livity Sound were planted in 2009 and 2010 as the dubstep community, both in Bristol and further afield, began to
splinter. Ford had been an active member of the scene in Bristol for several years, running the Punch Drunk label and making his own
music. Drawing from his own inspirations of jungle, dub and techno, his 12" releases and Jarvik Mindstate album radically reimagined
dubstep's sparse rhythmic template as intensely psychoactive, rolling grooves.
But as the mainstream side of the genre evolved into big-room rave music and pulled away from its sound system origins, Ford
began to actively explore new territory, working at slower tempos while keeping the essence of his approach intact. Livity Sound
emerged from the desire to define this newer music as its own independent entity: a raw and exploratory strain of UK techno, rooted
in dub methods and sound system culture.
At the same time, Ford started sharing ideas and collaborating in the studio with Cowton, who over the preceding few years had
released striking, sub-heavy house tracks via labels such as Idle Hands and [nakedlunch]. These early sessions birthed the first Livity
Sound 12", which contained two versions of the stark and sci-fi tinged 'Beneath Radar'. Stennett, who had recently moved to Bristol,
contributed the second Livity Sound 12", 'Sister'. Recognising that they shared a common vision, the trio assembled a live hardware
set-up, which uses improvisation and dub effects to meld their music together into a thrillingly raw, unbroken whole. Their first live
performance took place in a basement in Bristol in early 2012, and they have since played regularly at clubs and festivals throughout
Europe.

Furanum Rec. continues its industrial assault on the latest EP from label-head Dominik Muller, Liberation from Deadlock, this time on an inaugural limited 12inch vinyl release. Perc Trax's 2nd and final sub-label launches with a release as special as it is unique. Pairing boss man Perc with industrial legends Einstürzende Neubauten to provide a link between the current cutting edge wave of techno/industrial fusionists and one of the true cornerstones of first generation of industrial trail-blazers.

Einstürzende Neubauten innovated both musically with their philosophy that any sound can be incorporated into a composition and also their DIY mentality, an attitude shared by similarly groundbreaking UK artists such as Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire. Now Perc takes the dub-mixes from Neubauten's 1981 album 'Kollaps', a release mentioned many time by Wells as one of the key influences on his trademark sound, reworking the source material to add a contemporary touch which is respectful whilst showcasing this classic material in a new light. Serving up everything from echo-soaked dub workouts to sonically and physically imposing percussive assaults this is Perc at his most innovative, open-minded and confrontational.

The collaboration between Einstürzende Neubauten and Perc will start and end with this EP. There will be no follow up releases making this release even more intriguing. The EP was mastered by UK mastering engineer of the year Matt Colton at Alchemy in London and the striking artwork is by long time Perc Trax collaborator Jonny Costello.

Once upon a time...in the midst of masked identities, artist pseudonyms and the like, Midnight Shift introduces a creature not even of human form.

Tapirus conjures music reflecting the duality of his soul. On one hand, rough and acidic to tell of the terrain of his past. And on the other, pure ethereal sounds borne of another place. This EP, showcasing 3 songs of the Tapirus alongside a remix by label artist Basic Soul Unit, is just the introduction to his tale.

The wiggly 'Acid Love Story' enters the room with its tight drum programming and infectious bassline commanding attention. A voice speaks of a love lost: 'She left...she left. Dark time ahead. Dark times in my head.' But perhaps the story is not yet over.

'Trying to Make Something of Life' continues the monologue, conveying an acidic almost bitter experience. Freaked out and haunting, this track is literally inspired by the dead. It lays as atribute to losing yet another close companion in life.

On the flipside, 'To Live in the Hearts...' and its remix comes through. Ascending the scales of life, its Asianic influence and soaring chords take one beyond the clouds. Basic Soul Unit's transforms the track helter-skelter, a frantic pace turning the peaceful tune into beautiful art of war.

*At a time when the scene is saturated with 'Noise Techno' the album is almost celebratory by contrast, balancing caustic licks of distortion and oppressive bass with cleanly mixed synth tones and ricocheting claps in a shell-shocked, surreal soundsphere.*WIth production assistance from Juan Mendez (Silent Servant), the album includes the most direct and propulsive Vatican Shadow material yet, continuing an evolutionary shift awayfrom the complex, collage-based narrative of those cassette releases into more visibly direct contact with the listener. There is a functional connection to dance music here, honing in on the human element embedded within a subject matter so fraught with inhumanity.

Following a hiatus of nearly two years, the latest Furanum offering signals the return of solo work from label owner Dominik Muller and coincides with a pivotal tenth release on the label. The Embodiment of Brute Propulsion most notably features for the first time on vinyl robust reconstructions of two the artist's most seminal compositions. Both previously released on UK's Locked Records, 'Eintrachthutte' (2007) and 'Silesian Boy' (2009) have served as stepping stones for the artist's evolving musical vision and represent a raw reflection of the influential period spent immersed in his industrial homeland of Upper Silesia. Audibly modernized and now endowed with a substantially augmented lower end, the two capably maintain the feel and imagery of the originals; the former the impressions of a visit to an iconic location bearing the same name, and the latter a personal exploration of identity in the context of youth.
Also given the wax treatment for the first time is 'Blank,' a previously unreleased piece that has been a mainstay of Dominik's live performances in various forms since 2011. Defined by a recurring and ineluctable pattern, both intrusive yet irresistible, its orphic narrative is subtly driven forward by a series of menacing drones weave their way around a dense and forceful rhythmical panorama. Lastly, the repertoire is complemented by a vinyl-exclusive personal capture of an industrial press shop in operation. Seemingly bare, inanimate, and inexorably bound to its predeterminate cycle of motion, the mechanized landscape stands as a symbolic archetype of the aesthetic ambitions of the label.
Mastered at Berlin's D&M by CGB, Fu010 will be available on 12" as well as in digital format at all fine music retailers.

Using a handful of production aliases, the Spanish producer has been dishing out dark-tinted techno since the early '00s, often releasing on his own Mental Disorder imprint. His most prolific moniker is Reeko, with which he's put out some three dozen records. His relatively more recent work as Architectural, meanwhile, has been highlighted by a few appearances on Semantica, including the 2012 solo release Peacetime-a track from that one, 'Looking Ahead,' earned a place in Norman Nodge's Berghain 06 mix for Ostgut Ton.

The Blue Album is credited to Reeko w/ Architectural, and it follows the Reeko LPs Submitted To Involuntary Treatment and Finding The New Matter, from 2004 and 2011 respectively. It'll come through PoleGroup Recordings, the label run by fellow Spaniard Oscar Mulero, and it'll be made available on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Asked to describe his music to a new listener one might falter. While it's true that there is a very specific sound at the core of his music, it is the fluid nature of Deetron's work that defines him as an artist. The NY duo land on TTT with four chapters of toxic, virus-ridden techno-house amalgamations for the bravest of heart. Taking the boundaries of the genre to their very limit and further - another instalment of wacked-out electronics from the London institution.

Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled 'Foreign Awake', a much broodier spacy homage than we've yet heard from the pair. Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, 'Zero', which channeled his and the label's respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they've served up something all together different. Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, 'Foreign Awake pt.1 sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Deep, dark and dangerously hypnotic, this is Sawlin & Subjected at their most compelling. Sawlin & Subjected - Textures - by EDLX's in-house designer Jan Willem van den Ban Consistent with their music and profile, the artwork for the Sawlin & Subjected releases had to be similarly dark and enigmatic. Revealing little of what's inside, the cover gives only the slightest hint, but just enough to trigger curiosity. Dark and underground aren't necessarily synonymous with black, so the insides reveal a world rich of sound and colour, step by step.

The EP finishes off with 'Rocky', a masterpiece in reduction - hypnotic and deep techno.

Following on from his dynamic debut LP on Tectonic last year, 'Civilization', and an excellent contribution to this year's Tectonic Plates Volume 4 in the form of 'Kerplunk', Distal returns with a solid 4 track EP that spans the full wide range of his production ability. Taking in elements of crunk, techno, dubstep, house, footwork and hardcore, Distal flips the script upside down and inside out. 'Ridge City' kicks the EP off to a flying start with a barrage of relentless snare rolls that jitter in synch around a more grounded string hook - constantly raising the pressure with demented purpose as the track moves along. Next up is ''Drone Circle'; a unique blend of industrial, distorted drums, disorientating vocal snippets and soothing sunset pads - once again proving Distal to be master chef with a very eclectic palette! '106 Degrees' switches up to a 4/4-based kick drum pattern for this sweat inducing 808 drum workout - cutting in distorted riffs and deadly sonics to bring a well measured moodiness to the EP. Closing things off is .25 Automatic', which sees Distal drop back a gear for a slow building deep-crunk electro affair - melancholic pads and acid scribbles fill out the sonic landscape as the kick drum progressively distorts into action.

This project is the result of a new studio and way of production, now including analog insruments and live recording. Discovering this fresh and so far unknown approach to music and Techno, being introduced to modular synthetizers world and getting more involved into experimental music gives Octave inspiration to go on new different paths and experiment new sounds and rythmics that give this series all of its interest, and an own identity. Last year, in Paris, among all the promoters that made this kind of "techno riot" happen, there was "The Only Way Out.". It's been found guilty for Silent Servant's and Abdulla Rashim's first appearances in the french capital. We've had the honour of sharing these line ups with them, finally getting in touch, and starting conversations that ultimately ended up being a record : dedicated to remixing Polar Inertia's first two "EP-sodes". So that's it, "Major Axis" has been handled by Silent Servant, "Black Sun" transfigured by Abdulla Rashim, and our in-house champion Francois X has made a very special treatment to "The Last Vehicle". We are positively thrilled about this one. Enjoy the ride !

2010 e.p from HIEROGLYPHIC BEING, aka Jamal Moss, who has been active on the Chicago dance scene for over 15 years as a prolific DJ, producer and artist in his own right. With his Hieroglyphic Being project he has nailed a highly unique sound that draws from a melting pot of influences such as Acid, Chicago House, Industrial and New Age music. Often produced through primitive means, it successfully captures a raw intensity that other artists in his world often promise, but rarely ever deliver convincingly. His work stands alone in his field as being highly individualistic, and Jamal continues to follow his own special path after countless releases for labels such as International Deejay Gigolos, Mathematics, 6277. "A Romance Of 2 Planets" presents three pieces in Jamal's inimitable style with primal four to the floor drum machine stabs, disjointed melodies that erratically duck and dive around odd synth leads, and rough editing. 12" vinyl, cut at 33rpm, and housed in colour LP sleeves.

18 Months after serving up his debut LP ''Fallen'', D'Marc Cantu returns to his other home from home, Crème Organization. He's back with a six track EP, Alternate Frequency, that sees him explore the same prickly analogue house and techno that has made him into the revered producer he is today. The title track opens up the EP with fizzing analogue synth lines and a nervous, howling melody before acid, muffled vocals and coarse claps all get chucked into the dense sci-fi mix. 'Size And Shape' is a more propulsive and dancefloor facing track. Surfing along on a lively kick drum, repeated vocal phrases interact with choppy percussion, glowing pads light up the backdrop and a delightfully lively melody runs amok at the centre of it all. Like an old school garage house track in overdrive, it's full of charm. 'Straight Shooter' is then a zithering, 100 mile an hour piece of skeletal acid techno that grows ever more frantic and 'Tazakuro' is a lively analogue brew of cowbells, freewheeling synths and tumbling drums. 'Titanium Control Arms' lurks deep in outer space with the humdrum of intergalactic space travel gurgling all around the central melodic motif and 'Speed Freak' is just that, a hyper-driven bit of electro with frantic percussion and riddled with unnerving synth lines that makes you want to jiggle every bone in your body.

2 tracks crafted structurally for DJs and emotionally for dancers. Once again, they're not to be bothered with at home or in the car.

The 'Receiver' series presents six remixes of tracks from Peter Van Hoesen's acclaimed 'Perceiver' album. All six interpretations showcase the best of what contemporary techno has to offer. The second Receiver release presents two solid interpretations by Scuba's SCB alter ego and

Dead Sound (Perc Trax / Gynoid Audio)
In 2008, after long being inspired by the UKs longest running techno night Atomic Jam in Birmingham, Paul decided to make a change musically, moving into the world of techno under the name Dead Sound. Since starting out as Dead Sound, Paul has produced a variety of techno sub-genres including his own more broken beat and 4/4 styles by himself and also producing industrial techno alongside DJ partner Videohead. Dead Sounds debut EP, released through Datatrace, displayed an experimental mixture of IDM, bassline orientated techno and dubstep.After hearing Dead Sounds demos, Perc asked Dead Sound and his DJ partner Videohead to remix tracks for Go Hiyama and Samuli. Following the success of these remixes, The Chosen EP was released under Perc Trax. Following the hype of the Perc Trax releases, Acroplane requested some tracks from Dead Sound under the name Pench EP. Coinciding with the Perc Trax releases, Gynoid Audio and Elektrax Recordings showed an interest and Dead Sound has carried out various remixes for them and has EPs due out later in 2011/early 2012 . Alongside Perc and Surgeon, Paul has gained the support of other big players in the techno scene such as Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, James Ruskin, Xhin, Stormfield and Warlock and notably Bas Mooy with whom a collaboration project is in the pipeline.

Bas Mooy (Planet Rhythm, Roots, Patterns, Darknet)
Rotterdam home-based dj/producer Bas Mooy (1976) has been active on many fronts in the techno scene since 1999. Heavily influenced by a city that breaths industrial strength twenty-four-seven, he gradually found his way into creating an unique dark sound, which lead him to the forefront of the European techno scene. In 2002 he kickstarted the already legendary Audio Assault record label with label partner Jeroen Liebregts aka Radial, which resulted in the birth of sublabel Arms one year later. Since then the Audio Assault family built a strong and constantly growing fan-base worldwide, showcasing an impressive catalogue with a constant output of stand out twelve inches, setting the standard for today's quality dark techno. For many years he has been a member of the Rotterdam underground collective 'Strictly Techno', creators of over a hundred legendary parties since 1996. Bas has played at many 'top of the bill' clubs and festivals around the globe and is a regular guest at the highly respected Awakenings parties in Holland. Over the years Bas has been a hard working and devoted producer, spending many hours in the studio and putting out music on respected labels such as Planet Rhythm, Roots, Fine Audio Recordings, Darknet, Naked Lunch, Impact Mechanics, Submissions, Patterns, Blank Records and of course his own imprints Audio Assault and Arms.

Bleak's releases on the likes of Sudden Drop and Delsin definitely got out attention and have featured heavily in our DJ sets, so we were very excited when he sent over a batch of tracks from which we put together the 'Open Space EP'.

For secretsundaze's 11th release we welcome Swedish rising techno producer Bleak to the family. Bleak is a master of his craft and all 3 tracks stand out for their high end production, driving sound, yet retaining plenty of soul and atmosphere. Lead and title track 'Open Space' is perhaps the most immediate with its typically driving kick and numerous percussive elements all working together alongside gliding, hypnotic pads and chords. B1 'Smoke' is a simply stunning track with a totally mesmerising quality where despite the thudding kick and relentless techno energy, the more emotive elements of pads, keys and acid twitches come to the fore creating something very memorable.
Last up to complement the two more peak time cuts 'Missing' delves deeper providing a perfect foil. This is no pedestrian 'deep house' with a tweaky, acidic line fading up in the mix and worming its way into your conscious with more killer percussive elements picking the energy into a tracky hypnotising groove.

So after John Daly's classic 90's anthemic Detroit house anthem 'One More City' comes something completely different in the form of the cutting edge techno vibes of Bleak's 'Open Space' illustrating once again secretsundaze's breadth, vision and a&r prowess.

International DeeJay Gigolo Records presents Emotions Visions Changes, the debut LP from Tel Aviv duo Deep'a & Biri. Set for vinyl & digital release on September 16 2013, the album marks the arrival of a pair of exciting new Israeli talents.

With a handful of EPs to their name since their debut in 2009, Deep & Biri quickly found champions in Derrick May and DJ Hell, with Hell quickly snapping them up to Gigolo for a single in early 2013, while May wasted no time in selecting two of their tracks for his own upcoming compilations, one of which is forthcoming on his legendary Transmat label. Now their debut album arrives via Hell's longstanding imprint, showcasing the duo's affinity for a deep, dubby & authentic sound that at various points touches upon the influences of Detroit and Chicago's finest, the Tresor-inclined techno of Berlin and the experiences shared in Tel Aviv's turbulent scene as resident DJs at one of the city's best underground clubs, Barzilay.

It would however be disingenuous to categorise Emotions Visions Changes as purely a repurposing of the duo's myriad influences: there's a palpable commitment and - as the title hints - emotional investment in the sound of the record, one that comes from a lifetime of devotion to electronic music of all forms. The opener 'Fade Into Nothing' sets the tone with a scattering of ambient elements illuminating the beatless washes of sound. As the record moves on, through the suitably titled 'Fog' and 'Thetawaves, we're moved forward by a pulsing kickdrum through their dense, oscillating atmospheres, which blossom into a gorgeous piano melody by the mid-section of the latter track.

By the time we reach 'It's Makes Sense', the foundations have been laid for the LP's most propulsive track - the atmospherics remain, this time driven by a tough kickdrum and rapid handclaps. That power is retained by what immediately follows: 'Black With Purple' and 'Fractal' maintain the energy while skewing it into more complicated shapes rhythmically, then 'Pressure Loss' takes the record to arguably its most pure dancefloor moment, with an intensity that grows exponentially until its inevitable decompression. The record's final chapter follows a path back to ground level through 'Last Chance Chasers' and 'Walk With Me', the latter finding an instantly accessible groove that remains light on its feet before album closer 'Tears' brings Deep'a & Biri's impressive debut to a fittingly reflective conclusion.

Chicago producer/dj/artist drops a 2 track EP on Modelhart. The first track 'A Plutonian Love Affair (9th Planet Remix)' features a raw beat with haunting synth lines on top. The second track 'Tache Floue De L'amour De Folie Interminable' features emotional energy that almost tries to dismantle itself in realtime.

House of Black Lanterns is the new project from Dylan Richards, formerly known as King Cannibal (Ninja Tune) and Zilla (Warp).

You, Me, Metropolis , a sci-fi-influenced, juke-tinged bassbin-botherer, is amongst the standout tracks from  Kill The Lights (Q Magazine s Electronic Album of the Month). HoBL supporters were drafted in to provide remixes, with Houndstooth label-mates Dave Clarke & Mr Jones showcasing the electro aspect of their _Unsubscribe_ project on their take of  Broken . Meanwhile, Breakage (who described  Kill The Lights as  the album I've always wanted to make takes Leni Ward s vocals to the centre of the peak-time dancefloor. The EP closes with the epic, melancholic melody of brand new track  Worthless .
The 12 is cut & mastered by Matt Colton onto heavyweight 180g vinyl.

repress! Token is 5 years old. I never planned to do anything special for this occasion. However, when I received these 2 new tracks from Phase, all just fell into place. This release pretty much sums up what Token stands for since day one. Both tracks are fierce pieces of relentless yet deep techno, in-your-face yet very subtle rhythms, all credited to Phase's detailed drum programming, keen sense of atmospherics & sound processing.

Carrier bags do not break down as well as newspaper or compostable liners. They can clog up machinery used to recycle food, and plastic can be left in the compost that is made, which is no good for farmers' fields.

*Hot on the heels of DJ Deep's inaugural Kern mix for Tresor comes 'Kern Vol.2', selected and mixed by Gigolos boss DJ Hell.

*Hell has a track record of releasing benchmark mixes, most notably the wildly eclectic mix for Belgian club FUSE in 2000, and 1995's 'X-Mix 5: Wildstyle', whose concept he feels is 'not far away from Kern Vol.2'. For 'Kern Vol.2', the Munich / Berlin machine dug deep into his vast collection to unite early House and Techno with the new wave.

*Detroit minimalism is represented by Robert Hood's 'Sleep Cycles', originally released in 1994 on the limited Minimal Nation EP, and Daniel Bell, who appears with an unreleased 'Chicago Style' version of his evergreen 1992 track 'Blip'.
Kenny Larkin's epic 'War of the Worlds' also features. It's an old favourite of Hell's and he describes it as 'very emotional'. He also points out that its inuence lingers on. 'This record was important for a lot of Berlin producers, they were inspired by this track and mixed it up with minimal techno,' he says.
*Meanwhile New York's Joey Beltram makes an appearance as Code 6 with 'Quad 1', an irresistibly dark slice of Nu Groove house ''Quad 1' is one of my favourite records ever. I still play it and it can change the whole mood of a party,' Hell says. But 'Kern Vol.2' isn't just about the old school and Hell has included tracks from new producers like Recondite and Jonas Kopp.
*Hell's background in harder-edge sounds predates the launch of Gigolos in the late 90s, and he welcomes its resurgence. 'There are new talents like Jonas Kopp and Recondite, who is also from Bavaria' he says, they connect history with future in a very innovative way, very cutting edge.
*'Kern Vol.2' also showcases some tracks that didn't get recognition rst time round. The churning, throbbing bass of Literon's 2006's 'Machine 1' is one such track, one of the many projects of Dutch producer Gerd. 'I didn't know it was him. He has so many different projects but if he released all of his music under his own name, he'd be a superhero,' Hell believes.
*Another obscurity is the Afro-acid groove of No Smoke's 'Koro Koro'. Hell spent a lot of time trying to trace the artist behind the project and offers the following observation: 'They are from London and this was released between 1988 and 1989, but I am not sure of their identity,' he says.

BROS003 is here - On one side two guys who have studios next to each other, so they decided to make a track. Power Vacuum's head honcho and one half of Bad News have teamed up to make a raw rave tune steeped in overtones and hypnotic bass rhythms.

On the flip is the combination of a techno legend and one of Techno's rising stars. The duo have created two tracks, the first a swirling, looping, chord driven track that is swallowed up by a low end that shakes the best of foundations. The second a dark, broken techno funk track that has groove written all over it.

Raphael Dincsoy and Robin Hirte are back on AFU Limited. 'Happy' is the second strike of the Stuttgart based production duo after their outstanding debut release in may 2012. 'The Trip' was a great start for the guys on Thomas P Heckmann`s famous AFU label. All tracks have been played by loads of 'big names' like Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Stephan Bodzin, Gayle San, Cari Lekebusch and many many more.

According to these feedback of the first release it s clear that the expectations on the new ones are really high. But no worries needed. Dincsoy & Hirte delivering again three techno peak time banger. The title track 'Happy' is a weird and trippy history of sounds and effects. Building up slowly and ends with a firework. 'Ranzen tanzen' rolls on straight to the floor. Dark and mysterious like the typical style of Dincsoy & Hirte. Last but not least, 'B2S'. This track needs less words, honestly. Just tune in, put the volume on the max and see what you get. This is techno par excellence, 100% made for the dancefloor. Altogether the 'Happy' Ep is a well done follow up. It will definitely make the techno-heads smile and scream! Have fun and be 'Happy'!.

One of the most reliable names in techno and arguably Berghain's most prominent face, Marcel Dettmann has already once accomplished the difficult task of translating his pared-back techno sound to the album format. His debut self- titled album, released back in 2010, comprised 12 sculptures of obdurate stone and steel aimed at a pair of good headphones as much as they were a dance floor. They showed a producer as adept at intricate sound design as he was rocking the world's best club. Since then, Dettmann has released another acclaimed mix CD and a string of singles which had him move away from that LP's tough textures and into everything from liquid ambient to the catchiest music of his career.
But then there's Dettmann II. A sequel in a true sense, the album marks a return to the spirit of the first album, but things feel less tense this time around. Dettmann brings his recent experimental outlook and applies it to the album template, creating a record that lives and breathes with a naturalism rare for a techno album. Expertly paced, Dettmann II impresses especially with its carefully rising narrative. On first glance, as the album barrels into action with the particulate grit of 'Throb' and - Ductil', Dettmann is in fine style. But to the careful listener, these tracks feel lightweight like they're built from aluminum instead of steel. Each tune's central theme is a bit more out there than usual, from the sheet metal racket of 'Lightworks' to the house-hinting chorus of 'Soar', which is every bit as majestic as its title implies. He offers up some top-notch ambient material as well, like the trippy 'Shiver', or the ominous 'Outback', which features contributions from Levon Vincent.
Dettmann also reaches for a rare collaboration on his second album. Kindred spirit Emika lends her spectral gasps to 'Seduction', which stays stunningly antiseptic even as it weaves her voice into its wire framework. With Dettmann II's stretch of tracks 'Radar' and 'Corridor', the album finally takes flight into full-on club mania, fist-pumping career-high material with all the subtlety of his old work molded up into a spiky banger.
'Aim', which ends the record in lofty fashion, hints at a new direction for Dettmann, uncharacteristically melodic and even uplifting. Co-produced by René Pawlowitz, it bears the Shed touch but keeps it firmly in Dettmann's finely-honed world. The first track written for the album and the one that initiated the album sessions in the first place, it carefully hints at new directions while keeping its glance firmly in Dettmann's established history - which you could say for the album as a whole, gently moving towards new horizons but always keeping in mind what made Dettmann's past music so great in the first place.

Stray Dogs' 'Wasteland' is the fourth release for the Ghent-based partnership between Icarus Records & Vynilla Vinyl. The album will be available from September 16th 2013, and the band will present the album on the same date at the Icarus Night @ DOK Ghent, with Greg Haines, Poppy Ackroyd and Sankt Otten completing the line up.

Icarus Records is a platform for music that defies musical boundaries. 'Wasteland' is the label's fourth release, following Echo Beatty's highly acclaimed debut album 'Tidal Motions' and Record Store Day 2013 single 'Dirty Beaches-Ravel Ravel' and Ecila's full album 'The Sofa Managements'. Once again Icarus Records releases the album in cooperation with Vynilla Vinyl, the label of Ghent-based record store Vynilla Records.

Stray Dogs

Stray Dogs aka Koenraad Ecker (cello, guitar, electronics) and Frederik Meulyzer (percussion, electronics) have been on an exciting musical journey ever since their debut album 'Intangible States' (2010). Balancing between electronica, dub and experimental music, they've constructed their own sound universe, in which attention for detail and texture is combined with a physical intensity that you not only need to hear but feel as well. Stray Dogs take you along on a menacing post-apocalyptic trip through a disintegrating no man's land.

'Wasteland'

'Wasteland' was recorded in a desacralised church in Antwerp (Belgium), making it more strippeddown, industrial and ritualistic than 'Intangible States'. The acoustics of this space were exploited to a maximum, after which all elements were merged in the recording studio. Percussion, cello, guitars and analogue hardware lead to a sonic result situated at the crossroads of ritual drums, dubby reverberating echoes and disintegrating orchestras. 'Wasteland' will be released on a limited edition of 250 vinyl copies.Later on in 2013 other work by members of Stray Dogs (also involved in Lumisokea) will be released on the Digitalis, Opal Tapes and Eat Concrete labels.

More hardware driven soul grinding dance music from Muhk with Matti Turunen's Morphology partner, Michael D (CRC) behind the machines this time. Melt away in the 90's synth stabs and the CHACK CHACK CHACKA CHACK CHACK of the 909 mastery. Music to grind to!
