Kenneth Christiansen & Dennis Bøg presents Pattern Repeat part 6.
This time Pattern Repeat gets a little more harder and darker on PR00/6.
The A side is a moody dark track with deep hypnotic almost nightmare kind of groove, with a old school kind of atmosphere.
The B side gets hard straight from the beginning of the track with a pounding almost industrial kick drum, that builds from a minimal groove that really will kill the PA system in the club.
Pattern Repeat has stepped up, and shows the harder and deeper side of the Copenhagen Techno scene.

'Enter the B-Truth', the first track on the flipside, as well shows no mercy. Its eclectic rhythmic structure combined with classic vocals and strong rides deliver 7 minutes of euphoric and intense House music.
B2, named 'Night Chime' is a deep & psychedelic House track.
It gains a hypnotic depth through subtle changing details, glowing chimes and atmospheric field recordings, but at the same time convinces with powerful low-end frequencies and sharp claps.

It's with great honour that In Paradisum welcome sometime Border Community and Traum Schallplatten artist Ricardo Tobar into the label for the fourth chapter in our fledgling story. The Esoteric/Carnaval EP reveals four tracks that further showcase the Chilean producer's unerring grasp for electronic music that combines moments of introspection with the unshakeable urge to lose yourself in the moment.

Tobar is extending this plunge towards all new uncompromising techno territory from various, equally engrossing angles. Pitch the rough hewn mutant beat dance of 'Esoteric' next to fizzing, acid tainted textures of 'Recuerdos' or the grinding journey through Dante's Inferno that is 'Carnaval' and it's easy to see why Tobar has been accommodated into the In Paradisum fold.

Following his release on Peter Van Hoesen's Time To Express late last year, SP-X drops his third EP for Komisch.
Fans of 'Signal Path Experiments' and 'Field Lines Never End' will not be disappointed as the Brussels-based producer serves up three more slices of uncompromising warehouse techno. Lead track 'The Escape' has all the SP-X hallmarks - rock hard beats, thundering claps and a swinging groove that underpins eerie riffs and clanking metallic drums'Stalker' reveals a more musical slant to SP-X's sound. It starts off with unsettling riffs, but soon the rolling drum-led arrangement changes tact and provides the backdrop for a growling chord climax. There is a similar concession on 'Attack Pattern'; bruising doubled-up drums and that unmistakably snappy SP-X percussion combine with subtle snare rolls to create a peak time arrangement. But once again an insistent chord sequence gives it the edge over functional techno.
Make sure to hunt this killer release down !

For their second release, Works the Long Nights are proud to present an EP from Sunil Sharpe, one of Ireland's most celebrated underground DJs and producers. Since late 2000, Sunil has gained a formidable reputation as a DJ for his quick fire mixing and fast paced sets and, similarly, as a producer for his distinctive style of club music that fully encapsulates Ireland's rich heritage and relationship with techno. He is a mainstay of the scene in Ireland, responsible for a label/vinyl store (Earwiggle), a series of one-off events in Dublin (hosting guests like Planetary Assault Systems, CJ Bolland, Perc and Adam X) and a show on national radio (RTE 2FM's 'Late Night Sessions') and it is, undoubtedly, a great honour to welcome him to the label. SHEWORKS002 arrives off the back of fantastic recent releases for Black Sun Records, Komisch (as Tricaustic with Jon Hussey) and Labrynth and features four diverse tracks of dark, raw and uncompromising techno pressed on heavyweight 180g vinyl, mastered at D&M.

Marco grew up in a small village in Belgium. Nothing much happened there really, but he did learn that one doesn't achieve much without working hard. He is a true hedonist but a workaholic as well. Marco loves to work hard and spin records as much as possible; sleeping is for later. Therefore, his colleagues know him for his no-nonsense kick-ass mentality.

At the age of 12, Marco wanted nothing more than to become a sportsman since motocross and competitive cycling were his passions until injuries made it impossible to continue and Marco soon had a new obsession - music, then shortly after that DJing, his burning, all-consuming drive could only be calmed by getting into music. A positive result of this is seen on a daily basis in the studio, where together with his best friend Tom Hades he works on tracks and DJ sets, puzzling just as long as it takes to get it to sound right and release the right energy. Marco calls this his 'positive disorder', positive because it gives meaning to his life. He is constantly on the road or at work in the studio and doesn't take his job lightly. He invests all of his energy to make sure he can give the best possible performance to his audiences all around the world.

Having a superstar status in Belgium, he travels the world playing the biggest events as well as the small intimate clubs. His mixture of party techno, minimal and electronic house means he is a permanent fixture at all major European festivals and clubs. With love, hard work and fantastic sounds he has succeeded in gaining worldwide recognition. Playing events like Extrema Outdoor (NL), Awakenings (NL), I Love Techno (BE), Nature One (DE), Wire (JP), Monegros (SP) and clubs such as Zouk (SG), Ageha (JP), Space (ES), Industrial Copera (ES) and Chinese Laundry (AU) he has made clear that he still is a big force to reckon with.
Killer releases on Intec Records, Primate, Zync & Tortured, confirmed his strong reputation as a producer over the last eight years. He has since set up MB Elektronics & MB Selektions to release high quality music and remixes by none other than Adam Beyer, Umek, Ben Sims, Smith & Selway, Claude Young, Christian Varela, Redhead, Axel Karakasis and Takaaki Itoh. November 2009 saw the MB labels 55th release.

In 2000 he joined forces with Christian Varela to set up Pornographic Recordings, a respected outlet to give unknown talent a chance to release their music. After a short hiatus where both parties concentrated on their own careers the label is back up and running with releases from Joseph Capriati and Cristian Varela. The Pornographic parties, which are a great success in Spain, are continuing to become bigger and better around the world.
Marco Bailey does not like to think in boxes but more outside the box. Although he has an expansive taste in music, techno keeps intriguing him. Despite techno growing into a bigger genre with its sub-styles in minimal, tech house and hard techno, he still discovers fascinating records in every style. This is the reason Marco's sound is so diverse and surprising.

A slight change of both his production and DJ-ing styles has led to recent releases on John Digweed's forward-thinking Bedrock Records ('Jungle Laps', October 2009 / 'Watergate EP', January 2010 / 'Rayavadee' with Tom Hades, April 2010), with a new artist album due on the label in February 2011.

2010 has given Marco so many happy memories. Whether it be Marco's shows with Carl Cox at Space Ibiza and Brixton Academy London, or the landmark of celebrating 60 releases on MB Elektronic's with Marco's 'The Sixtieth' compilation, or the honour of being voted 20th most popular DJ in Japan by the influential Loud Magazine. Most recently, Marco has releases currently available on Spektre's Respekt Recordings ('Sweet Narcoses EP') and Fergie's Rekluse label ('Acid Sop'). Both EP's are collaborations with Tom Hades and should keep the floors rocking over the New Year period with their heavy intense grooves and playful melodies. To finish the year off perfectly, Marco's weekly 'MB Elektronik Force' radio show is now available worldwide as a podcast via iTunes.

Question of Time Records continues to mould its unique deep psychological techno sound with its second release 'The Way 2012 / Afternoon Fever'. The label saw its first release, 'Change It', in over a decade back in March, and received support from DJs and blogs across the underground. Now the label digs deeper and harder with a mind-bending hypnotic two tracker from label boss J. Daniel.

Bodyscrub is one of the most exciting & uprising talents of the growing Neapolitan Techno scene. With mind blowing releases on labels like Phobiq and 1605 he was able to catch our attention, so we are glad to announce his first EP on Driving Forces Recordings. With Hyperactive and Regular Bodyscrub delivered 2 slamming & modern high quality Techno tracks for the peak time. But that's by far not all!

The third, somewhat overdue, installment of Andy Blake's Cave Paintings series finally sees the light of day. All the Cave Paintings releases are one-take analogue excursions constructed by machines and recorded live in New Cross Gate and mastered for vinyl in Hackney.

Find A Way' is, was and will always be the first song that Joakim started on his 'Nothing Gold' album sessions; the spring of the albums seasons, if you will. It was not until Joakim had realized a concept for his third studio album, built the entire album around it and completed all recordings and mixes, that the lyrics for 'Find A Way' came to him, breathing life back into the song, and finding it's way back onto the album that it originally launched

Feted kosmische synthesizer wizards from Cleveland OH , Emeralds, have never had any of their music remixed before. Let alone having the title track from their acclaimed 2010 album reworked (twice) into a floor-filling behemoth by Daphni (aka Dan Snaith aka Caribou). "We toured together in 2010 and since then I've always wanted to play their music in my DJ sets. So I did my own version of this track", says Snaith. "It's one of those tracks that whenever I play it I can feel the energy in the room lift." Luckily Emeralds were equally enthusiastic and so this unlikely hybrid see the light of day. ...or rather the dark inside of a club#

The debut release on Poem by Neotnas, is set to showcase both the label's outlook and pedigree. The outlook of quality, from the music, to the pressing and artwork, and the pedigree, which is proven in the history of Tobias Duffner, who ran Fauxpas Musik, and his choice of upcoming artists already slated to release on Poem. Neotnas hails from the city of Chelyabinsk in Russia, and delivers a mature yet fresh EP of deep, well versed grooves. To grant it a genre would narrow the appeal of these tracks, but rest assured those from House or Techno backgrounds will both find common ground.

Francesco Baudazzi, sometimes known as Obtane amongst other secretive pseudonyms, is an electro-acoustic sound artist hailing
from the Tyrrhenian coast between La Spezia and Carrara on the West Coast of Italy and is renowned for producing truly dark
atmospheric and droning conceptual music, enlivened with subtle, spacious field recordings and analogue synthesis.

Irish lads Ian Mc Donnell and Dara Smith have been recording for some time as Lakker with a number of releases for the likes Lazybird, Alphabet set, Acroplane and most notably Killekill. Here we proudly present their first Blueprint record in the form of the Arc E.P.

A superb mix of bass driven techno and electronica across the four tracks here but the office fave has to be A2's super-shuffling piano track 'Ed'
which reminds very much of mid-period Anthony 'Shake' Shakir material from days long gone...

Deformed is the first Gravite Label release, a "12inch vinyl coming directly from the label owner, Bruno Sacco. The first one, "Deformed", that gives its name to the the ep, is a sort of trip based on a line com- posed of almost piercing synth and industrial drags for almost the entire track, a very repetitive and deep bass dub techno groove, simple while remaining effective. "Orbital" as the name says, it's an hypnotic rhythm that will send us in orbit, following Bruno's high techno sound spheres. A track that it's gonna be enjoyed in clubs and dancefloors! "Distance" the third track, closes the ep with this concentric dubby atmosphere Bruno loves.

After releases by Phase & Xhin, which left the techno scene with a pair of extra holes, Token now introduces its third release for 2012. We introduce a new name: Ctrls, from Copenhagen, Denmark. A new name, but not a new artist. Troels B-Knudsen is an ex drum & bass head and earned his producer stripes throughout the years. He slowly made his transition to techno and last year him & long time friend Lasse Buhl formed Northern Structures. Our second vinyl release 2012 introduces a new series, the Bias Jams, on Ilian Tape. We start off with a compilation of 4 tracks from Japan, Serbia, Argentina and Italy. After some Internal investigations we found out that Imugem Orihasam is not only a japanese shaolin, but also a yoga guru. His bias cut sounds like an instruction for a deep meditation in a forest. We chose a forest, because forests need to be saved. Too many Black Puffs of vapour are killing them at the moment. Our late riser Regen probably didn't had that a mind, but we declare him to be an environmental activist from now on. Now how should we include Paper Tape in this story...had a look online and found the term perforated paper tape. Pretty interesting stuff, it was one of the first methods for data storage.

There are several ways to try to sum up the history of MOTOR. Chronologically listing all of the releases, significant events, enthusiastic critics and superlative comments, awards won and goals achieved in a comparatively short period of time would be one of them. It would certainly be a quite impressive list, but it would not fully pay justice to the phenomenon of MOTOR, as this phenomenon is clearly more than just the sum of its parts. Sometimes less is more, and that is why this brief history more than anything focuses on some of the milestones in the rise of MOTOR, as well as some seemingly random anecdotes, which at the end of the day impressively stand for the very essence of this extraordinary act.

Nottingham based DJ / producer Nick Lawson tirelessly devotes himself to the endless possibilities of electronic music. His meticulous approach to DJing and production has seen him hone a versatile style that explores the deepest realms of House and Techno.

Nick's early releases on Romulus Schwarz's Shrink and SheWolf Music imprints saw him develop a sound that was both organic and nostalgic. His low-slung groover 'Daphadandilly' achieved wide support, despite being released only digitally, and has since appeared on Matt Tolfrey's mix compilation for 1trax. Nick's collaborative works with Matthew Burton has seen them both explore different corners of house music, breaking the typical methodologies they normally adhere to with their solo efforts. Their first two releases together, 'Mischievous Mustache' (2009) and 'Playdo' (2010), appeared on MultiVitamins and Leftroom offshoot Left'd respectively. After both featuring on another Left'd release with 'Snuff It' (2011), the pair continued with their warehouse style in the shape of the moody Tech House track 'Gruff It' (2011) released on Visionquest. Other releases in 2011 included 'Take Me Away' on Fear of Flying, another collaboration with Matthew, and 'Ma Feelinz' on Morris Audio.

In 2009, Nick and Matthew broke out of the studio and put their heads together to form Busta Groove. This paved the way for the pair realise a mutual objective to run their own night that encourages guest DJs to dig deep into their collection and present quality deep music far into the early hours without the predictabilities normally expected of other House and Techno nights. With Berlin's spanking new Dice Club as their setting, Busta Groove played host to Seth Troxler, Ekkohaus, Deepchild and Simon Baker during its time in the German capital. Since Dice's closure however, Busta Groove has set up camp at the much hallowed Eleven in Nottingham and has also held a series of parties at The Nest in London, welcoming the likes of Ethyl, Kassem Mosse, BLM, murmur, Leif, Giles Smith and jozif, amongst others.

Aside from Busta Groove, Nick also currently holds a residency at the Wherehouse in Notts where he shares his own style of deep yet groove-laden House and Techno, showing he is just as at home playing a carefully crafted warm up set as he is at knocking out a more energetic peak timer.

Diligent and passionate, Nick continues to pursue his sensibilities for deep music, constantly developing and refining his sound.

Mutex Recordings are back on wax with Fluid EP from Unbalance. This guy put out one of the most decent productions in 2011 with his white-labeled Unbalance series and definitely is one of the artists to watch for in 2012. His music is an incredible collage of everything you love in techno: thick groove, Detroit-styled chords and spooky futuristic effects.

The grand master form Greece throws in all the goodies he has collected in his toolbox, spiced up with slashing white noise, and modulation sounds and nice echoing spaces. Mihalis Safras has created once again a splendid techno EP.
