Inweys is the new project from Scottish musicians Conal Blake (Feedback Moves, Domestic Exile, Infant Tree) and Murray Collier (Dip Friso, Grim Lusk, Real Landscape). Their debut self-titled 12’ was recorded in the summer of 2024 at La Chunky Studios in Glasgow.
They asked Fielding Hope of Counterflows Festival to write a short summary of the record:
“Inweys debut release arrives as four pieces of broken body music. Lurking, barely human fragments brought into the present. Using a short drum-machine improvisation as core material, the pieces are formed from a processes of mining and re-mining for small details, with each fragment zoomed in on and turned into new pieces. There’s a transformation taking place, but one that doesn’t obscure the materiality of the recording tapes as sticky, corrosive matter. On skewed and stretched fabric they enact their palimpsestic play, sketching and altering the grid with itchy technologies. What their edits and improvisations don’t say they let space say the rest, with vacuum aerated frames for bass to diffuse and beats to wriggle. More King Tubby than Cage, more Mantronix than Reich: minimalism with molten tips.
Both Conal and Murray’s past work has embraced malleable and iterative technologies; music whose feeliness figures itself out in space in a messy precomposed/improvised dialectic. This is the sort of thing most “new music” experimentalists (or anyone who spends most of their time obsessively manipulating tapes in expensive studios) often can’t achieve; a liveness, birthed from learning in situated play. Like the lore of Phuture’s Acid Trax, a poverty of material is at the heart of this, rendering the work with an abortive conviction: a corpse waking to consciousness becomes amphibious. Instead of the composer we have a relation, two people navigating the awkward spooling between the two reels of tape. Inweys is scots for “inwards”, and in their working process this is what they do. But the result is circular motion. Until the tape runs out, all in ways move out.”
‘True Mirrors’ leads the EP laying down airy atmospherics, bright stab sequences, bouncy bass groove and crisp rhythm section. ‘Royal Objects’ follows and leans into deeper realms via an amalgamation of processed spoken word vocals, ethereal pad textures, heavily swung percussion and dynamic evolution.
‘’Ghost Life’ kicks off the flip side next, fuelled by resonant synth licks, sweeping filtered chords, saturated drums and dubbed out vocal lines. ‘Over and Over’ then concludes the release, a nod towards the early 2000’s era of microhouse courtesy of raw, reduced drums, heavy sub bass tones, oscillating organic percussion and warped synth tones.
Ronny Pries is finally back, releasing his new EP ‘Zero Four Zero‘ on Abstract Rhythm. He contributes four brilliant detroitish influenced techno and electro tracks, perfect for creating some late night heat on the worldwide dancefloors.
As those tracks mean a lot to Ronny, especially ‘This ain’t Jazz‘, he felt like they belonged to be released the oldfashioned way, on 12‘‘. Ronny has been releasing electronic music since the 90’s. Zero Four Zero is his first EP after a long release-absent time where he was focussing on several other music and non-music related projects. ‘‘So, as much as this release marks the beginning of something, as much does it conlcude something. There’s no (such thing as) time.“
SINFONÍAS DEL ABISMO, the debut album by EC13, blends Electro, Techno-Bass, and IDM, shaping a distinctive and cutting-edge sound. The album unfolds through cinematic, epic-toned narrative developments, creating an immersive listening experience.

Atix delivers a breaks-driven reinterpretation of Sinfonía Primera.

The physical edition is carefully crafted with premium artwork and mastering to enhance the vinyl listening experience.
Nor (pronounced "noolj") is DJ Sotofett's Braindance album for SUED with music produced between 2002-2020. It was originally intended as a playlist for SVN between his studio sessions but quickly took the shape of this snappy LP balancing frenetic breaks and beautiful synthetics. The almost 20 year old tracks that pre-date all the Sex Tags projects are either made with one drum machine, one synthesizer and no sequencer – or Minidisc sample based collages pasted together on Qubase, while newer productions are partly programmed on Finnair.
Florian Kupfer lands on Urban Legend Records label with Unmasked EP. The work explores the human condition through the symbol of the spider, representing the duality between creation and destruction, patience and control. Like a spider’s web, the EP weaves complex emotional and psychological connections, guiding the listener on an introspective journey where tensions between light and shadow, the hidden and the revealed, are revealed, in search of inner truth.
System Error’s Flow Series proudly welcomes Gianluca Pellerano, a dedicated DJ and producer from Rapallo, Italy, and the founder of labels Cime di Rapax Records and RPX16035.

The record’s closing track, ‘Streghe’, is a special collaboration with Gianluca’s mentor, Niki il B. Featuring a driving bassline and fluid drum patterns, the track delivers a captivating and dynamic finale to the EP.
Believe In Records, a division of MixCult Records, presents two broken-beat heavyweights uniting their superpowers to deliver a unique, rhythmic bass sound showcased in this EP.
Drum & Bass legend Electrosoul System draws from his extensive experience in broken-beat music, while Dawn Razor infuses mutant vibes throughout the release.
Rounded out with a remix by the fabulous and talented Kontext, aka Dissident, this four-track EP is a powerful dancefloor weapon, perfect for every part of the night.

The EP promises to captivate listeners with its atmospheric layers and rhythmic complexity, delivering a fresh, modern touch to classic electronic foundations.
Nottetempo are welcoming a new artist into their fold. Caramel Chameleon will be known already to many, his fluid brand of braindance having graced imprints like 030303 and Undersound’s NOUN sublabel. The sonic shapeshifter, Francesco Pio Nitti, arrives at the Milan label with Compact Demons.
Distorted beams and a steady kick introduce “…And You Feel So Lucky.” Drums descend into a glitchy soup of snare rolls before gentle notes take hold, a melody of soft synth warmth is dappled with breathy samples. Pound and thump are given a full workout in “Monologue Duetto,” echoes of glowsticks glimmer before the floor is calmed by silken keys. “d-_-b Future Is Blind” opens with oozing basslines and skittish beats. Tender pads and playful melodies bob and weave, breaks creating generous spaces for string-filled meditation to bloom in this absorbing work. Kicks return for “Inter27wined (cottage mix)”, a nervous energy soothed by globular synth-lines. A late evening feel permeates the piece, a comfort countered by Nitti’s bending and stretching of percussive patterns. For those needing a little more, Nottetempo have drafted in Legowelt for a remix of “…And You Feel So Lucky.” The track, available digitally, sees Wolfers sideline his own trademark sound to focus on the essence of the original. The result is considered interpretation, beats are relaxed and steady with a touch of analogue dreaminess coming to the fore.
There’s a sense that Caramel Chameleon is building up a head of steam. With each release, the Italian artist is further honing his sound as he crafts ever more intricate melodies and structures. Compact Demons is proof of this. In the same breath, Nottetempo continue to fortify their catalogue and roster with a release of excellent electronics. Quality cuts from Milan.
Trance Pandemic is back with new full cover EP - masterpiece of Dima Phase designer.
The musicians' solo sound is changing, they continue to search for themselves, thereby releasing without losing the atmosphere and drive in their music.
Komponente takes its rhythm from 707 drum machines and 80s synths, adds a TB 303 and wraps it in long pad melodies in Boston Dynamics.
In Acid Explorer, he builds electro-trance with the sound of a nuclear siren using Elektron machines and packs everything into his favorite voice presets from Korg. New and old music technologies are intertwined into one whole, giving birth to new sounds from the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Kurilo continues to work with modern sound machines, drawing on the best and creating a smooth, even groove.
If you like trance synthesizers, mysterious melodies, then your choice is Eating Raoul, nothing more, a sound inspired by the New York night where Evgeniy currently lives.
Not From New York carries a different trip, but no less atmospheric, deep bass and acid accents - everything you need for a dense sound on your sound system, be it a club or rave party or a home sound system or headphones.
In general, although the release is different, it is united in one thing: atmosphere and melody.
Limited collectors gatefold edition on double white vinyl. The best Comtron's songs are now finally available on vinyl. Comtron, the electro-duo of Dutch producers Bas Bron (Fatima Yamaha, De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig) and Rimer London (Le Le) collected their best work, only released digitally so far. For the real electro heads.
Body Mechanic has been turning out definitive Motor City techno on solid labels like Cryovac, and GASS for several years. This time out he lands-on Detroit Techno and serves up, well, some electro. It's classic 313 tackle though - heavy on the kicks, snappy snares and filthy dirty basslines that make you want to move. Ghoulish vocals add extra grit to the opener and from there 'Dance' gets more playful with jittery drum funk and scratching, 'Beautiful Bum' has a gorgeously tender and reflective vibe thanks to the minor chords and smooth electro rhythms, 'Magic (feat Tay) ' slips into a deep and soulful house groove and 'Househead' is jacked up, loopy and well swung amongst several more timeless cuts. All in all, a killer double 12".
Refined, eccentric beatscapes from Teakup. The tempo and mood are wide ranging, from the swampy heaviness of 004.1, to the hovering stasis and textural play of 2 & 3, to the rushing fluidity and clarity of 4. Midwestern electro and techno blend with bass continuum influences and northern European glitch, modular, and minimal sensibilities.
+++ BRAINDANCE ALERT+++ This hermetic and talented producer is highly recognized in the braindance community, sure to resonate with rephlexian types as steadily revealed in recent years through material uploads in different platforms. 'Red EP' features new tracks along with remastered ones from his archives (FIRST TIME AVAILABLE ON VINYL!), covering the sonic spectrum of splintered beats, bass, and intricately woven rhythms make up this shimmering braindance jewel. Cerebral and hopeful electronics joining dots between genres. A record for armchairs and floors that hate the algorithm. TOP STUFF.

Analog Concept welcomes "UNWONTED" a fresh Electro project from Sweden. Behind the moniker stands two established Techno veterans, Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell. When they work under the group name UNWONTED their sole focus is on melancholic, warm, vocal-based Electro, with inspiration taken from classic Detroit Techno, Electro & Hip Hop.
"A Moment Like This" is based on the concept of walking through a desolate broken city in a dystopian retro-romantic future, reflecting on distant memories and the present.
3 Mâts Records sets sail once more, delving deeper into uncharted waters. Waypoint settled and new landscapes waiting to be explored. Introducing this latest voyage featuring Paraguayan artist Rafael Schneider, aka R.E.S.S, alongside finest addition by P.O. Carefully crafted, each track has undergone meticulous mixdown refinement, resulting in a harmonious blend of sounds.
This 4 tracker EP dive into a whirlpool of sonic exploration, where the depths of creativity meet the currents of innovation with past influences. From pulsating rhythms to ethereal melodies, each composition offers a glimpse into this 80/90' inspiration palette of R.E.S.S, amplified by a powerful tricky and trancy edit by the french wizard P.O.
Aller Ende Anfangs Various Artists 002 takes off with "Reach" on side A, a pounding breakbeat track by Australian artist StacEmp, followed by a dazzling and heretic interpretation of techno by Hamburg based HACKSTER, also known as "aitch". Deepneue delivers mysterious "Famadihana", an exciting and rhythmic track on side B, while Murky fm creates a wonderful melancholic journey in "Crescent".
Acid Reflux is an EP compiled by Acid Adams that focuses on acid sounds from different times, genres and genders. The journey starts with the deep and melodic excursions by Nihilist and softcoresoft before we enter a sweaty basement to get lost to rough and punchy tracks by ADSX and Ida Bux. On both sides, a track from the 90s (which has never been released on vinyl before) is followed up by a new composition that was inspired by its predecessor and has been produced especially for this release. Since the 90s-tracks are exclusively by male producers, the concept tries to balance this era-inherent state of affairs with the fact that the new tracks are solely by finta* artists. On a meta-level, this release is about connecting times, genres and genders, beyond forms of binary thinking. The record comes in a reused sleeve from the 90s with a fresh logo sticker designed by Frieedland and a promo sheet like back in the days.
Six driving electro tracks by LEGACY and SKY ABOVE. ''Exploration mission passed. The two d(r)ivers have joined forces to build the new formulas. Six high-octane fuels for nightride engines. Release valves, ignite decoders and spin loud!''
naive's 20th release epitomizes what the Lisbon-based label, run by Violet, has become cherished for: imaginative yet timeless, soothing yet moody, melodic yet sonic music. Entitled 'Computer Hermetics', this new record is an EP by UrbnMowgli, a fairly new Berlin-based artist who began releasing music in 2020. The opening track, 'Fast Love Life', is a 145 bpm electro-bred, breakbeat-driven emotive dancefloor banger. It features menacing stabs juxtaposed with beautiful pads and acid-drenched arpeggio motifs that lend it a oneiric quality. 'Oracle Algorithm' picks up the 303 spirit and delves into trippier territories, densening the dreamlike, expansive atmosphere while infusing the record with electro-driven grit. Closing side A is 'Warschauer Rush-Hour', a futuristik, high-tempo twisted electro banger that's both tough and playful. 'Immaterial Desires' inaugurates side B--an ode to adventurous drum programming and intricate sound design in the form of a percussion-punctuated curveball belter. 'Digital Dawn' brings it all back home to the heart and closes the record with its deepest, most immersive moment, giving us big bass lines that alchemically converse with angelic bleepy melodies as if soundtracking a soulful sci fi movie that doesn't exist yet.
Introducing the latest vinyl gem from Adlibitum Tum Tunes, it's the highly anticipated release number 004 by the dynamic duo, Goose & Hosca. These two maestros aren't just DJs and producers, they're true sonic artisans, crafting mesmerizing soundscapes that resonate with the soul.
Their collaborative project emerged organically, sparked by countless sessions of impromptu jams fueled solely by hardware. From these creative depths sprung a unique sound, one that seamlessly blends elements of acid, electro, and dub into a tapestry of sonic delights. With each track, Goose & Hosca invite listeners on a journey through their musical universe, a realm where the boundaries between genres blur and the energy is palpable.
Track A1, "Gently Weeps," sets the tone with its hypnotic acid groove, while "Lost Hera" on A2 delves deeper into introspective territories with its mesmerizing breaks.
On the B side, "Rinkuuddo" (B2) brings the EP to a crescendo with its infectious energy and intricate rhythms.
And nestled between these originals lies the crown jewel of the EP, the B1 track, "Rinkuuddo (Havantepe Remix)." Renowned dub techno artist Havantepe lends his expert touch to the duo's work, transforming it into a mesmerizing sonic journey that will leave listeners spellbound.
Prepare to be enchanted, dear vinyl enthusiasts, as Goose & Hosca invite you to immerse yourself in their sonic world. This EP is not just a collection of tracks—it's a journey, a testament to the power of music to transcend boundaries and unite souls on the dancefloor.
Adlibitum Tum Tunes is a division of MixCult Records.
Broken Techno/Electronica label Theoretical Rhythms is back with another vinyl release. This time it is a 4-track compilation EP called "Confessions". Featuring a carefully curated selection of tracks from diverse artists, "Confessions" takes you on a journey through emotions, melodies, and introspective narratives. Each track serves as a musical confession, laying bare the artists' innermost thoughts and experiences. The compilation opens with Varna's own Virtually J who masterfully sets the tone for the entire collection with his composition. From there, listeners are guided through a sonic landscape that seamlessly blends genres, showcasing the rich tapestry of musical expression. London duo Getae are showcasing their talent with the dance floor filler "Stumble" and Getsu opens the door to another dimension with his story "Otklonenie". With its minimal composition, broken beats and various effects Getsu invites us to divert from our path and experience another world. The EP concludes with Nickel Eye's "Lodi", a story that starts on a darker side with repetitive rhythm to transform to a jazz epos.
"Confessions" is more than just a compilation; it's an exploration of vulnerability and authenticity. Each artist bares their soul through their music, creating a connection with the audience that goes beyond the surface. "We wanted to create a compilation that goes beyond the ordinary, something that resonates on a deep, emotional level," says Nickel Eye, Theoretical Rhythms' head honcho. "This project is about sharing our musical confessions and inviting others to do the same". With its innovative approach to storytelling through sound, "Confessions" promises to be a standout in the music landscape, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a musical experience that is both intimate and expansive. "Confessions" is a testament to the power of music to connect, inspire, and evoke raw, authentic emotions. Press play and embark on a journey of musical confessions.
For our 7th release on Nocturbulous Records, the great Jacky Meurisse, make us the honor of working again with us with 4 lost treasures, previously unreleased on vinyl.
Typical Jacky’s dark and gloomy sounds, but more electronic and dancefloor oriented than his regular SA42 material.
Another pocketsize edition in the Brew white label series. Sounds big enough for your weird uncle's wedding, but also perfect to play at other mutant gatherings. 2 tracks, very loud.
Skatebård is one of the very best Classic Techno producers from Norway since the early 2000's - the distinction from others simply lies within his sense of melody, rhythm and live arrangements. The 2002 release "Skateboarding Was A Crime" on Tellektro had a clear thread of Detroit Techno and Electro, a craft and influence that also heavy club hitters "Conga", "Ta-Ta Arr" and "Emotional Bits" on Sex Tags Mania strongly carried. It's unarguably always a "classic touch" in his dance music, but still it always sounds like a Skatebård production - there is simply no blueprinting in true inspiration.
"Spektral LP" has been compiled and edited by DJ Sotofett with material from Skatebård's 2001-2005 recording archive. In short it's recordings nobody else cold get a hold of – fine tuned and restored into a synergetic and consolidated world of riding, mechanical and electronic funk - released on Skatebård's own Digitalo Enterprises.
Tracks "Seventh" and "Vaskemaskin" are both cymbal driven Techno cuts by the former metal drummer, one with chorded synth stabs growing in harmony, the other leaning on a dark sci-fi pad and a flipped vocal loop. There's a bit more of Skatebård's vocals on the beautifully robotic "Ei Anna Framtid", an alternate take of "Future" which Finlands Keys Of Life released in 2003. DJ Sotofett's mix of "Den Anarkistiske Anode" is nothing but a distorted head-schredding basement Techno blaster, while "Strengje", "Bassi" and "Spektral Elektro" punctuates the catchy Electro & Italo grooves Skatebård crafts so much better than most current producers.
XY0815 wraps up his magnum opus with an additional collection of eight tracks. The second volume of 'Gates Need Inputs' blends crafty, melodic electronica with intricate rhythms.
The fourth release on Damo B’s Emotec label, following on from MOY, BufoBufo and Auto Sound City. This one is deeper than Atlantis!
The Cliffdive EP begins the journey of Astral X-Ray, the collaboration between Rain & White Transit Van. Inspired by a cosmic journey, the EP encompasses many facets of the duo’s influences.
Spanning from melancholic breakbeat to melodic fizzling electro, Cliffdive is a versatile EP that moves and evokes emotion in its listener in equal part.
What is a dream computer? With the right input we can compute our dreams, this means that you are a dream computer and so are we and if you have the chance to create your dreams, don't hesitate, you might surprise yourself.
If you look at the artist line up of our new release, a press info is actually pretty obsolete, but I thought I´d write a few words anyway. Oniris from the south of France is really on the rise with his latest music on Laurent's Cod3QR and upcoming music on Bedrock or Systematic and when I got in touch with him to talk about releasing on Break New Soil, he sent „Stay“ and „Wild Thing“ - I was sold instantly! When thinking of adding a remix, I contacted my good old friend Josh Wink to see if he would be up for it and I honestly couldn´t be more blown away by the result. Josh's rework is a no-nonsense Techno anthem that surprises on first listen while leaving no doubt that it´s a trademark Wink production with his subtle and sophisticated beat stunts and impeccable sound profile. Additionally Josh delivered an Acid Version plus a dub mix! We think this is one of the biggest releases on our label ever and can't wait for you to check it out.
Steyoyoke proudly presents “Couple Affair 10”, a remarkable double vinyl showcasing the collaborative spirit of the esteemed label members. With each track, this significant release beautifully encapsulates the creative synergy and collective talent that defines Steyoyoke, offering a truly immersive and transcendent musical experience. Vinyl enthusiasts and electronic music connoisseurs alike will be captivated by the sonic journey presented on “Couple Affair 10”.
Brand new album finally on Vinyl, All songs composed, produced & mixed by IV Horsemen Mastering at Dadub Studio by Gian Artwork & all music video by Timothée Gainet,
With distorted arpeggiated synthesisers and cold metallic drum-machine patterns, William Wiffen from Yorkshire invites you to his sonic warzone. Höga Nord Rekords proudly presents RED (Rapid Ear Damage), a stripped and harsh take on postpunk, motorik and EBM. With haunting and reverbdrenched synthesizers, Wiffen’s new project sometimes resembles acts like Two Lone Swordsmen in their dirtiest moments.
RED is not a wholesome and pleasant experience. Heavily modified vocals, used more like an additional instrument, breaks through the distorted, hard, backbeat, contributing to the feeling of being trapped in a mental slit trench or bomb shelter: no light coming in – only sound. Set the controls for the heart of the void.
The second entry on Dance Data is the debut album by Izapa, who has been a fixture in LA’s modular synth community for some time now, so it’s a treat to get a glimpse into the sounds he’s been honing in his private world. The record showcases his sensibilities for a wide variety of rhythmic structures / styles, from angular hi-tek drum-n-bass to half time electro zoners, there is a little something for anyone that’s looking for dance music that prioritizes feel over function (while still retaining the latter). Featuring a swirling acidic remix from Buttechno.
Next up via the Herrensauna collective’s expansive record label imprint is a six-track LP of euphoric tension and mutant electro from alien boogie commander Volruptus. Unruly drums, erratic arpeggios, glitchy bass, high speeds. What more is there to say...
Futuristic electronics by Niels Luinenburg (Delta Funktionen) under his new guise Immediate Proximity - in collab with Diana Napirelly. Ambient, Bass, Electro and Techno are the main identifiers for their output. Deep and emotive is the mood, but at the same time the music is playful and has a robust and confident character. This distinct direction, which was laid-out on the pair's debut LP '2334', has now led to the start of their own label: IMPROX - on which they'll release a series of EPs. On IMPROX, the duo experiments vivaciously with color, rhythm, space and tempo. Hi-tech, yet tribalistic rhythms are interlaced with elusive sci-fi themes. Big stage anthems are comfortably combined with cinematic ambient excursions. And through self engineered audio-gen modules, backed by a stark focus on sound design, the IMPROX series marks a powerful upgrade to Luinenburg's production capabilities.
The next transmission from planet BRUK comes courtesy of Lårry, an enigmatic artist ploughing an individualist furrow through various fields of electronic expression, one hand tweaking the tiller and the other casually dismissing the rules of rave. You might have caught their sharply-pointed sound on Super Hexagon or Awkwardly Social, or perhaps stumbled across their fabled 2021 live performance from Fitzroy in Berlin, or even unconsciously swayed to something spun in a set any time over the past five years. Lårry's discography is modest but mighty, and How Was That For You builds into that idea with four
precise tools for forward-leaning soundsystem communion. From the fractalised barbs of electronica stepper 'In Water' to patiently dread-eyed wobbler 'Angela's Knife', 'Uniform Uninform's icy incisions to the snaking spiral staircase of 'Yargachin', this is brain fodder first and foremost, with bassweight impact threaded through as an added bonus. Keeping fine company amongst the other oddities inhabiting the Bruk mandate, Lårry continues to keep us on our toes, literally and figuratively.
Hot on the heels of this year’s ‘Dyslexia Sound System’ album, Touch Sensitive is thrilled to share a three-track companion piece from Autumns - 'DSS Dubplate'. Autumns is the solo project of Derry’s Christian Donaghey. With a relentless release rate that mirrors the energy and intensity of his live shows, Donaghey has submitted a selection of skewed star turns for the likes of iDEAL, Death & Leisure, and Opal Tapes since his debut on Regis' Downwards label in 2014. Much like it's companion LP, 'DSS Dubplate' is heavily inspired by the On-U Sound label, the productions of Adrian Sherwood, and that cultural and musical sweet spot when the rockers met the post-punk crowd. Donaghey’s whip-crack beats, heavily effected vocals, shredded no-wave guitar, and clarinet squalls are shaped and shifted further into the endless expanse by his dubwise techniques on the board. As always with Donaghey's productions - these rhythms grip tight and don't let loose until the needle is on the run-out groove. Full-throttle! Autumns non-stop!
Nous'klaer audio presents Oceanic's debut album Choral Feeling. A rhythmically diverse electronic album full of sonic explorations and beautiful moments, all bound together by a sense of colour. The album touches on the core of what music can be for: a sense of togetherness, finding meaning in moments, a way to cope with loss and soundtracking dreams about a different future. The music on this album reflects that in the most personal way. Each track consists almost entirely of his friends' voices, recorded and transformed into the sounds you'll hear. No, you can But how Just think of anything How can it just be anything Why does it need to be more Because they're afraid of it. They're not afraid of the words Then what are they afraid of The power behind the words How can words have power If you say something, only you, maybe I can hear it. Perhaps someone sitting over near that tree can hear it too. If we say it together, maybe we can reach past that tree and reach that rock. But if us and a million others say them same thing, all at the same time. Then every tree and every rock everywhere will hear us. Trees and rocks don't have ears. No they don't but they do. Why don't they just cover their ears Because then they need to do that every time we use our voice. And use them we did and use them again we shall. They got tired of covering their ears, so they decided to cover our mouths. Won't they hear us now? We're safe here. For how long will we be safe? For now. Perhaps until later. Just try. Read the words like I've written, but do so like the birds in the trees. You are my sunshine A little louder You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy When skies are grey You'll never know dear How much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away Beautiful. Shall we go teach the others When will we have enough to free ourselves We'll always have more than they do. We only need to not forget I'll never forget Sing it again. Artwork by Bob Verhoeven. Text by Gregory Markus.
This release is a tribute to the friendships I have built over the years within the electronic music scene.
Once again, the occupying squad went heavy on the record… 4 Club Tracks in-between nods to the rave culture, old-school electro flavour with a neat modern twist, the usual breakbeats bonanza and a very naughty trance remix on top !
It was a quiet period but Macadam Mambo is back to present a new LP by the greek musician Yannis Veslemes.
The confirmed artist -who has previously appeared on labels such as Byrd Out, Invisble Inc., Won Ton, Optimo Music or Into The Light, under different projects : Felizol, Steamcut,Sportex or his own name, and composed for movies OST -started to integrate Macadam Mambo on the latest compilation Danzas Electricas vol. 3, and very naturaly proposed his new album. It needs to be said what an honnor to receive such quality music. In term of composition, production and universeit’s a land of influences and uniqueness, in which you will recognise a bit of Yello, Coil, Nick Cave or Igor Wakhevitch vibes embrassing folkloric greek melodies or cosmic pop ballads. It’s brillantly dark, obscure and lightful. A tempest of sensuality and roughness. To say it short it’s EPIC! and will definitely give the recognition that Veslemes deserves as a major composer in Modern Electronic Music.
With an extensive legacy and a list of alter egos longer than your arm, Martin Damm aka Biochip C achieves a delicate balancing act on this 11 year old record, a handful of extras copies of which were recently unearthed in what can only be described as a highly fortunate 'warehouse find'. He pulls off a delicate balancing act here, letting the abrasive, industrial punk rock side of his music off the leash to frolic unhindered, while never losing sight of the needs of dancefloor and its needs across the six tracks. Highlights? Well, the title track's speedy electrofunk is highly addictive, 'Eraser' has a driving, chunky techno edge that fans of Force Inc will love, while the double dub speed grooves of 'Knobgine' and 'Liquid Silence' are forces of nature in themselves.
After a long hiatus in Comtron releases they are back. Stronger than ever. Comtron (Fatima Yamaha and Rimer London) are known for they're critical view on society, the financial and political world. From dark and twisted electro tracks to pumpin' big room, gimmicky techno, deep swirling ambient and slow house beats, this double 12" has no flaws.
This is a Pingdiscs summertime special, featuring Roy's magic and phwoar mad remixes for your seaside adventure.
Here it is the ROTR acid groove slightly transformed
Just a bit of a break from the norm
Just a little somethin' to break the monotony
Of all that mainstream dance that has forgotten to be
A little bit out of control, it's cool to dance
And what about the acid groove, that soothes, that moves romance
Give me a soft subtle acid mix
And if the 303 ain't broke then don't try to fix it
