King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard 'Live at The Gorge Amphitheatre, Quincy, WA' was recorded when the Aussie psych-rock polymaths rained down on Washington on September 14th 2024, for a three-hour marathon set.

This is a 4xLP featuring the original poster art by Jason Galea and photos from the show by Maclay Heriot, and it is exclusively mixed and mastered by James Plotkin from the stems provided by the band. The master and pressing plates have been licensed from Fuzz Club. Housed in a deluxe quad fold jacket and comes on 140g coloured vinyl.

Composer and arranger of Hiroshi Suzuki's "Romance" and Jiro Inagaki's "Breeze," Hiromasa Suzuki is a musician who had worked extensively in the Japanese entertainment industry, not only in jazz, but also in pops, cinema, television, and animation music production. This album is a pre-fusion/crossover masterpiece produced by Jiro Inagaki and recorded with talented players such as Shuichi Murakami, Akira Okazawa, and Masayoshi Takanaka.

Serie mit unbekanntem Ausgang. Diary of Dreams starten eine Serie von Mini Alben, deren finale Anzahl noch nicht beschlossen ist; Mastermind Adrian Hates erklärt: "Die Serie endet, wenn die Geschichte zu Ende erzählt ist." So beginnt nun am 31.10.2025 die neue musikalische Traumreise mit dem Kapitel "Dead End Dreams". Der Titel ist ursprünglich eine Textzeile aus dem Song Panik? vom 2002er Mini Album PaniK Manifesto, welches für DoD das erste seiner Art war. Die Zeile blieb für Adrian jedoch bis heute inhaltlich unvollendet; es gab dazu noch so viel mehr zu sagen. Es war also höchste Zeit, dieses Sinnbild zu vollenden. Begeben wir uns dafür nun gemeinsam in völlig neue Klangwelten des Tagebuchs. Der Titel verrät ein wenig, womit zu rechnen ist - düstere und apokalypische Szenarien und ein Rückzug in die eigenen Gedanken, um das auszublenden, was kaum fassbar mehr scheint: die Realität; Eine Welt am kollektiven Abgrund. Gegründet wurde die Band 1989 und erspielte sich seitdem mit über 700 Konzerte in 43 Ländern ein treues Publikum.

Charmaine Lee ist eine in New York lebende Sängerin, Komponistin und Elektronik-Künstlerin, die für ihre furchtlosen Erkundungen von Stimme, Geräuschen und Improvisation bekannt ist. Tulpa pulsiert mit gesättigten Obertönen, mikroskopischen Details und dynamischen Verschiebungen in der Skala, die zwischen Intimität und Unermesslichkeit hin- und herpendeln. Produziert und aufgenommen von Randall Dunn (SUNNO))), Kali Malone, Anna von Hausswolff), wurde Tulpa mit einer einzigartigen räumlichen Technik erstellt: Lees Stimme wurde in ein direktes Signal und mehrere Vintage-Röhrenverstärker aufgeteilt, die als Lautsprecher dienten, wodurch eine feedbackreiche, dimensionale Umgebung entstand. Das Ergebnis ist eine Aufnahme, die sich taktil und immersiv anfühlt - gleichzeitig geerdet und spektral. ,Ich war fasziniert von diesem Sound der 70er Jahre - wie lebendig und unvorhersehbar er sich anfühlte und doch so tief verkörpert war", sagt Lee. ,In Tulpa geht es darum, Grenzen aufzulösen: zwischen Körper und Maschine, Raum und Wahrnehmung, Klang und Illusion." Der Titel bezieht sich auf ein Konzept aus der tibetischen Mystik: Ein Tulpa ist ein Wesen, das durch konzentriertes Denken heraufbeschworen wird. Lee verwendet diese Idee als Metapher für ihre Praxis, in der Klang zu einem materiellen Akt der Vorstellungskraft wird, der zwischen Präsenz und Erscheinung wechselt. Das Album endet mit einem meditativen Duett mit dem weltberühmten Reed-Spieler Ned Rothenberg an der Bassklarinette , einem spärlichen und weitläufigen Track, der vom Noh-Theater inspiriert ist. Es bietet einen Moment der Stille, der noch lange nach dem Ende des Albums nachhallt.

Andy Ash is a long time contributor to the sound of Quintessentials, with his album "All the colours" being the highlight of his work. Until now! The Liverpudlian shows superb diversity on his new EP called "Silent Planet". The opener, "Patch 2" is a stripped down masterpiece of Dub Techno and a perfect club tool. "Hross" can be called Acid House, and you know we love that! The B-side shows more of a relaxed vibe with the beautiful string-laded "Franco alley" and the smooth low BPM track "Yellow". Er manipuliert das Gefühl der Zuschauer für Tiefe, Maßstab und Textur und lässt vertraute Materialien und Orte unheimlich erscheinen, wobei er die inhärenten Ungenauigkeiten und Verzerrungen der Darstellung hervorhebt. ,Retinal Rivalry" zeichnet die gewöhnliche Welt in großartigen Details auf und versucht dabei, unter die Oberfläche der Dinge zu blicken. Der Film ist eine Darstellung von Raum und Zeit, die Darstellungsweisen destabilisiert und eine neue Hyper-Vision-Version der Realität bietet. Mit 120 Bildern pro Sekunde aufgenommen und mit derselben Geschwindigkeit projiziert - fünfmal so schnell wie im Kino üblich - fängt Gaillard mehr ein, als das menschliche Auge natürlich wahrnehmen kann. Die Filmmusik greift auf verschiedene klangliche Elemente zurück und unterstreicht so die Erforschung von Dissonanz und Synchronität. Indonesische Instrumentalmusik wird überarbeitet und mit Feldaufnahmen von rumpelnden schweren Maschinen und seltsam melodischem Würgen kombiniert. Der Soundtrack enthält auch die ersten Zeilen aus Werner Herzogs Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes (1972) sowie die dazugehörige Ouvertüre der deutschen Band Popol Vuh. Die Klanglandschaft von Retinal Rivalry steht im Kontrast zu den Bildern - was wir sehen, steht oft im Widerspruch zu dem, was wir hören. Nur in einem Abschnitt verschmelzen Ton und Bild: Ein gebrochenes Bein betätigt das Pedal einer interaktiven Orgel, um ein Stück von Johann Sebastian Bach zu spielen, das immer wieder ins Stocken gerät.

Until The End (The Lost Album) features recordings made by Wil Malone throughout 1970, possibly intended as a follow-up to Wil Malone – Wil Malone, which was recorded in mid-1969 and mastered for release on Fontana Records on July 5, 1969.
Recently unearthed from the Morgan Blue Town tape vaults, these tracks offer a compelling mix of ’60s pop and bubblegum, diverging from the original album’s string-heavy, progressive-psych sound. All the material comprises either demos or finished masters, recorded over several months. With the exception of the brass parts — performed by session musicians — all instruments were played by Wil Malone himself.
It’s a shame the debut didn’t achieve greater commercial success, as it might have brought these follow-up recordings to light much earlier, back in the 1970s.

Fuckwolf’s second album pares their scuzz-wave blitz down to exposed nerves: Eric Park’s basslines stalk like a hangover pulse, Simon Phillips’ drums land like a palm slapping the alarm into silence, and Tomo Yasuda’s guitar wirings spit like diner coffee left to burn on the hotplate. The fog has lifted; the damage is inventoried. These ten tracks are crime scene Polaroids, tales of longing and woe, fresh mystery bruises and eulogies.

There’s no wallowing here, just the tight, terrible beauty of a band that’s stared down the void and come back swinging.

Fuckwolf have been around the SF scene for a while, and it took Ethan Miller (Silver Current / Comets On Fire / etc) ages to get them to record the debut album, they then toured Japan and released a limited split mini with Green Milk From The Planet Orange. They reconvened late 2024 and recorded Boone..

This new album "Boone", polishes and extrapolates the fizzing psychedelia of their first album, and turns Fuckwolf into the heirs to the crown of mass-consumptive Sike-rock. This album is in the same vein as Mercury Rev's "Yerself Is Steam", Butthole Surfers' "Rembrandt Pussyhorse" and Flaming Lips "Telepathic Surgery", there's sheer pop in amongst the mind's eye rattling dollops of psychedelic wallop... the Koolaid was drunk and the songs were made.. plug it in, turn on...drop out.

For more than thirty years, Arnaud Fournier has been shaping the landscape of the French expe-rimental scene. First within the duo HINT, a singular fusion of experimental, noise and indie music, he released three studio albums in the late 1990s and has continued to perform regularly ever since, including a live album with EZ3kiel in 2009. With La Phaze (1999), Dead Hippies (2013) and later Atonalist (2017), he has always instinctively sought to cross genres and stage dialogues bet-ween extremes. In 2025, with 100% Black Puzzle, he delivers his very first album under his own name, a work where saturated guitars, saxophones, trumpet, hypnotic loops and vast layers of drone meet. Mixed and mastered by Olivier "Cali" Fournier at Studioscope in Angers, 100% Black Puzzle gathers familiar faces around it. Its title resonates as an intentional echo, directly referencing 100% White Puzzle, HINT's debut album. Thirty years on, Arnaud Fournier rediscovers the same spirit of absolute freedom across these five tracks: no format constraints, no compromise on length. The title track, an eight-minute instrumental, sets the tone - a raw, urgent gesture, cap-tured in the moment. In his own words, it was about "finding myself once more in that first-song state of mind, without any confinement." This album is the first to document Hoyt’s ongoing, long-term project of un-muting historical African instruments held in Western museum collections and includes his composition: Un-Muting Beyond Misspelt Borders.
Originally commissioned by Nottingham Contemporary for the exhibition Your Ears Later Will Know to Listen, Hoyt’s composition invites listeners to engage with what he calls ‘sonic restitution’, a performative challenge to the silent confinement of instruments within Western conservation standards and ethnographic museums, awakening and celebrating the hybridity, resilience and creativity of the transnational African diaspora.
The composition began with a recording session in October 2023 at the British Museum in London, where Hoyt was granted access to a selection of African instruments held by the British Museum’s Department of Africa, Oceania and the Americas. In the presence of curators and conservation staff, he played the instruments without written scores, responding instead to their physical and sonic presence.
The recordings were then further developed in Hoyt’s studio, combined with additional performances on both African and Western instruments from his own collection."

For Hoyt, un-muting is both a creative and political act:
"To Un-Mute is to gain access into ethnographic museum collections where I play and simultaneously record the abandoned ancient African musical instruments. These restituted recorded motifs and rhythms accompany my live concerts and recordings. Un-Muting is also concerned with the chapters of patriarchal and racist supremacy which accompany the instruments’ abductions, vehemently opposing the current continuum of this supremacy, its ongoing colonial expansion and continued capital extractivism. It remains focused on the retention of spiritual belief and stalwart visions of liberation leading to eventual global emancipation and self-realisation."

The original recordings were engineered and mixed down from 1/4" analog tape, then cut and Remastered by Stefan Betke (POLE) at ~Scape Mastering, Berlin, DE. Stefan's sonic wizardry focused on enriching every finite detail and bringing these recordings into a widescreen panoramic audio experience like no other. This edition features never before heard songs emitted from the CD and made exclusively for the LP set including the lost treasure that is: "Beyond The Clouds" (Seconds To Forever Live Mix) culled from the limited Japan edition back in 2011. With the vinyl edition of "Dimensional Space," we embark on a new project for higher understanding into anomalous familiarity. The flow journey in space, through time, combines unconstrained consciousness and uninhibited feeling for evolutionary experiences. Mexico’s Cumbia Sonidera. It also pays homage to the melodic line of the first generation of
Colombian accordion masters of Cumbia Sabanera such as Joaquín Betín, Emiro Caicedo, and
Policarpo Calle.

The two tracks are built on a solid rhythmic foundation of bass and percussion, accompanying a
melodic interplay between accordion and analog synthesizer.Mixed and produced by Pedro Ojeda Acosta at Romperayo Studios, both songs were recorded live, in
quartet format, at Mambo Negro Studios in Bogotá, Colombia, by Daniel Michel, featuring Iván
Medellín on accordion, Nicolás Eckardt on electric bass, Juan Manuel Toro on analog synth, and Pedro

To mark three decades of Classic, this special edition double vinyl comes housed in a raw reverse board sleeve, calling back to the very first ‘Season’s’ release on the label. It opens with Matthew Herbert’s sought-after 1996 cut ‘Got To Be Movin’—a raw, Chicago-inspired groover that captures the sound of Classic’s roots.

Also featured is the monumental ‘Somewhere Between Distance and the Impossible’ by Chris Nazuka (of Rednail Kidz with Derrick Carter), a 1997 masterpiece steeped in atmosphere and widely regarded as one of the label's most transcendental releases.

To finish we have Gemini’s hypnotic ‘In My Head’, transformed by prolific remixers on Classic - Freaks (Luke Solomon & Justin Harris) into a dubbed-out vocal trip that oozes character.

Record Two picks up the story with Classic’s reawakening in 2011.

Seven Davis Jr’s ‘The One’ (Live Edit) was the track that caught Luke Solomon’s ear, paving the way for his Friends EP and long-standing connection with the label.

Red Rack’em’s infectious and eccentric ‘Wonky Bassline Disco Banger’ found its perfect home on Classic in 2016, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about records of the year.

Then there’s Eli Escobar’s ‘Happiness Pt. 2’—a rich, emotive standout from his Classic album work, showcasing his skill at blending deep grooves with raw soul.

Rounding out the release is the iconic ‘Play the Game’ by Kenny Hawkes & Louise Carver. A pillar of UK house history, this essential track was reissued in 2019 with a powerful remix from his best buddy’s The Space Children (Luke Solomon, Jonny Rock & Leon Oakey), honouring Kenny’s lasting influence.

Different Class (originally released October 30, 1995) is Pulp's most successful album, achieving multi-platinum sales and international acclaim, winning the 1996 Mercury Music Prize and debuting at #1 on the UK Album Chart. It also produced four Top Ten singles, including ‘Common People’. Four months prior to the release of the album, the band headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 24 June. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of what is widely regarded as one of the best records of the era, this legendary Glastonbury performance, the audio wholly restored and released here for the first time, has been paired with the remastered album (each cut over 2 LPs) and is released as a deluxe 4LP boxset.

The audio has been remastered/mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road, overseen by Jarvis Cocker and Mark Webber, and is presented in a sturdy slipcase with a comprehensive, 28-page booklet featuring extensive notes from new interviews with the band members, plus previously unseen images from photographers Rankin and Donald Milne (who took the photos for the original release) and the band’s own archives. The original ‘aperture’ sleeve design, which invited purchasers to “Choose your own front cover”, came with six double- sided inserts/art cards of alternative cover images depicting cardboard cutouts of the band members in a variety of situations.

This has been fully recreated and a 12” by 12” poster featuring miniatures of the cutouts themselves is also included.

Expect rich melodies, mesmerizing builds, enchanting vocals, and that unmistakable 90s spirit that made "The Mackenzie" iconic in trance. This is not just the successor of EP 1 – it's the final chapter in a tribute to the golden era of Belgian quality trance music.

Yarni's "Anemoia" blends disco, soul, jazz-funk, hip-hop, and trip-hop across ten collaborative tracks, arriving with an unexpected bonus record due to a pressing plant mix-up that transformed a costly mistake into a collector's item. When the pressing plant accidentally pressed the full run using a rejected master, Yarni included both the louder original test pressing and the final audiophile version rather than waste the pressing.

The project has garnered significant BBC Radio support, with Craig Charles, Stuart Maconie, Romesh Ranganathan and Huey Morgan championing tracks as essential listening. Exploring the Greek concept of nostalgia for a time never known, the self-taught multi-instrumentalist collaborates with ten musicians and vocalists, weaving genres into a thoroughly modern tapestry.

Standout collaborations include the orchestral jazz-funk opener "Neon Gods," epic "S.W.A.L.K" featuring Scarlett Fae, hip-hop fusion "Natural Light" with Franz Von and Jeff Darko, and the Afrobeat-influenced closer "Nino." Rather than a retro tribute, Yarni crafts a forward-thinking collection that reimagines classic genres through a contemporary lens, bridging past and present with fearless experimentation.

The bonus record features slight distortion and louder mastering from the original test pressing that wasn't quite right - offering fans both the intended audiophile experience and this alternate version with added character. Each package includes a personal letter explaining this happy accident, making it essential for collectors seeking authentic independent music experiences.

Dutch based producer Ivna Ji, originally from Croatia, and Mexican artist G13ck (Daniel Vela) introduce their joint imprint Parcela Sound with Archways, a six track release moving through complex rhythm structures, shadowy atmospheres, and deep low frequency currents.

The record balances wide melodic sweeps and distorted textures, building tension between restraint and intensity. Collaborations with Düsseldorf based saxophonist/vocalist Amber Pine and Italian/Dutch producer Riccardo Izzo (Fatalist/Flooder) bring vocals and lyrics into the record, giving it a more direct emotional pull.

The project was shaped mainly in Ivna Ji’s home studio with just a few instruments, including Moog’s DFAM and her favorite DSI Evolver, alongside sessions at Zarkoff’s Sensorium Studio, where she focused on mixing and heavily relied on the Sequential Prophet 6, which ultimately proved to be the key ingredient every track was missing.

Mastering was handled by Filip Motovunski, whose sharp ear and precision brought the record to life with clarity and impact, giving the low end full weight without losing the finer details.

Parcela Sound grew out of more than a decade of friendship and collaboration between Ji and Vela, first sparked by a casual exchange of thoughts and admiration developed over years of sharing ideas and supporting each other’s projects, including releases on Vela’s labels Aztlán and Baox. With Parcela, they created a platform that supports emerging and often overlooked artists, some of whom have become close friends over the years.

The artwork by Croatian designer Ugruv Smek, featuring a gecko motif, ties the launch to their shared roots and playful approach.

Archways marks the first chapter of Parcela Sound, a platform for music created with curiosity, care, and connection.

Young Fathers - Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole und G. Hastings - kündigen heute ihr langerwartetes neues Album, „Heavy Heavy“, an. Das vierte Album des Trios erscheint am 3. Februar 2023 via Ninja Tune und ist ihr erstes seit „Cocoa Sugar“ von 2018. Das 10-Track-Projekt signalisiert einen erneuten Back-to-Basics-Ansatz ohne externe Produzenten, nur ein winziges Heimstudio, ein paar Geräte und Mikrofone: alles immer eingesteckt, alles immer in Reichweite. Über das Album schreibt Alloysious: „Jede Platte muss besser sein als die letzte. Das ist die Mentalität. The low end wobbles with glistening hi hats in the mids and distant sonic echoes adding late night intrigue. The musicians on this project include master percussionist composer Lekan Babalola on African Drums and Percussion, Lead Guitarist James Bergeau , Joaquin Joe Claussell Main Voice and Percussions; And of course, the artist himself Kuniyuki Takahashi and Acoustic Piano, Keyboards and Drum Programming.

What began as a nostalgic nod to Camden Market’s bootleg culture has become the next chapter of in the Running Back Mastermix series. At once deeply personal and openly communal, it shows how a lifetime of production can be condensed into 90 minutes without losing its edge — proof that the mixtape, even in 2025, still has stories left to tell.
What followed was a patient excavation. Old DATs were pulled out of storage, forgotten files surfaced from hard drives, and new material was written to sit alongside them.
Together, these fragments revealed a body of work stretching back more than 25 years — tracks that moved across the spectrum of house and techno but shared a common thread of character and atmosphere.
In May of this year, the archive finally found its form. Recorded live on three decks using Serato, the resulting mix brings together 24 tracks: unreleased material from the past and brand new productions, all stitched together into a continuous narrative. It’s equal parts retrospective and statement of intent — less a museum piece than a living document.

Multi Culti dive deeper into muso alchemy with ‘Cimbal Tanz,’ a record release that bridges the cult solo 'cimbal’ performance of Emil Jourjou with fellow Moldavian producer Bliz Nochi’s electronics.

Bliz Nochi began learning music at age 7 playing the accordion, later mastering the guitar and piano. By 17, he was experimenting with new metal genres, Dub, electronic, and indie music. In 2016, he released his first works under the name Bliz Nochi, blending world music and exotica infused with Balkan elements, which led him to connect with master musician Emil Jourjou.

Emil Jourjou, a master cimbal player born in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, studied at the prestigious Ciprian Porumbescu music school. His years of experience and deep connection to Balkan musical traditions build a cultural bridge between classical and folkloric orchestral music, having performed at such events as the World Expo in Hanover, and for the Philharmonic in Lübeck.

In 2021, the pair began recording together, remixing their friend and mentor Andi Otto for Multi Culti (later licensed to last year's Buddha Bar compilation). That collaboration paved the way for this full-length LP, with one side focused on traditional cimbal recordings and the other side a fusion featuring Bliz Nochi's production, a format Multi Culti initiated to showcase the too often obscured talent of the solo musician.

Bliz Nochi's LP is more than an album; it’s a journey through sound blending tradition and modernity, offering listeners a unique blend of Moldavian music and contemporary electronic styles. This project highlights Bliz Nochi's dedication to his roots and innovative spirit, bringing a fresh perspective to the music scene.

King Tubby and Producer Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee are intertwined in the birth of Dub Music. After discovering a mistake that made a ‘serious joke’ ( more of which later...) they went on to release the first pressings of this new musical genre namely ‘Dub Music’. Tubby’s vast knowledge of electronics and Bunny’s vast catalogue of rhythms would lay the foundations of what today is taken as a standard... the Remix / Version cuts to an existing vocal tune.

Osbourne ‘King Tubby’ Ruddock was born in Kingston, Jamaica on 28th January 1941 and grew up in the High Holborn Street area of downtown Kingston. He studied electronics at Kingston’s National Technical College and also on two correspondence courses from the U.S.A... When he had qualified Tubby began repairing radios and other electrical appliances in a shack in the back yard of his mother’s home. His work in the early days included winding transformers and building amplifiers for Kingston’s Sound Systems. Tubby built his first Sound System in 1957 playing jazz and Rhythm & Blues at local weddings and birthday parties. His reputation as a man who knew and understood both electronics and music grew steadily and as the sixties drew to a close. Tubby purchased his own basic two track equipment. He installed this alongside his dub cutting machine, a home made mixing console and his impressive collection of Jazz albums in the back bedroom of his home at 18 Dromilly Avenue which he christened his music room.

Tubby and Striker were at Treasure Isle Studio’s one day while Ruddy from Spanish Town was working with the engineer Byron Smith....

“Tubby and myself was talking when Ruddy was cutting some dub but Smithy (engineer) made a mistake through we were talking and forgot to put in the voice. It was two track recording in those days. Ruddy said ‘No Man! Make it stay! and so they cut the rhythm. When I went over to Ruddy’s that Saturday night a dance was in progress and when they played the vocal to the tune... then he said we’re going to play ‘Part Two’. They never called it ‘Version’..and then he played the rhythm track. The song was a catchy song and everybody started to sing along and the deejay started to toast so everything went down well. On Monday morning I went up and I said ‘Tubbs the mistake we made was a serious joke.It mash up Spanish Town! The people went wild. So you have to start to do that now ‘cause when the man put on the ‘Part Two’ everyone start singing this song. It played about twenty times. I said you try Tubbs!’...Well the next Saturday night now when Tubby strung up down the farm U Roy said he’s going to play ‘Part Two’ but Tubby did it different now. He started with the voice then dropped it out and let the rhythm run and then he brought in the voice in the middle and from there Tubby started to get really popular.’’
Bunny ‘Striker’ Lee

Dynamic Sounds upgraded to sixteen track recording in 1972 and Tubby purchased, again with the help of a deal brokered by Bunny Lee. The old four track equipment and the MCI console from their Studio B. The four tracks now gave him far wider scope to work with and he began to create a new musical form where the bass and drum parts were brought up while the faders allowed Tubby to ease the vocal and rhythm in and out of the mix. It was only a matter of time before Tubby’s dub plate experiments began to make it on to vinyl and the first ever long playing King Tubby releases would feature a collection of his mixes to a selection of Strikers rhythms. So please sit back and enjoy this historic set of sounds. Lovingly restored and with a few extra gems added to the CD Editions. These releases were the first to carry the name of King Tubby and the first to credit the great musicians that contributed so much to the rhythms that made these albums possible.

This collection, featuring seven pieces from 2011 to 2015, celebrates Noah Creshevsky's 70th year with a fittingly life-affirming and masterful verve. An award-winning composer who has studied with Nadia Boulanger and Luciano Berio, he began composing electronic music in 1971, using the power of circuitry, tape and then digital technology to create a "hyperreal" musical world in which recordings of human performers, both vocalists and instrumentalists, are juxtaposed and recombined in compositions which span eras, cultures and genres. His use of expanded musical palettes arises from an aesthetic of inclusion, guided by an open spirit and an expansive musical sense. The combination of the emotional power of human performances with the precision of computers create real-beyond-real super-performances of surprising control and virtuosity, resulting in a hypothetical and yet very real music, full of drama, humor, and tenderness. This album, Creshevsky's second release on EM, following the 2004 "Tape Music" compilation, gives ample evidence of both his mastery of digital technology and his profound, empathetic musical instincts. His ability to use the computer to highlight the gifts of human performers is displayed on every track, including a piece which focuses on Japanese vocalist Tomomi Adachi.

For the first time in full, a unique anthology of Hungarian TV and radio recordings by the legendary guitarist Gábor Szabó, captured during his return visits to Budapest in 1974, 1978, and 1981. This historic collection documents the deeply personal reconnection of an exiled artist with his homeland, bridging musical worlds and emotional landscapes.


The first disc features both studio and concert recordings with some of Hungary’s top jazz players of the era, including the legendary double bassist Aladár Pege and renowned vocalist Kati Kovács. The second disc includes a rare televised concert from the Hilton Hotel (1978) and Szabó’s final known performance — a moving rendition of “From a Dream” recorded in 1981.


The music collected here captures a poignant duality: Szabó as both American and Hungarian, outsider and homecomer. This is one of the most intimate and emotionally charged chapters of his career and a musical homecoming, rich in atmosphere and soul.


As always with Ebalunga!!!, Gábor Szabó’s legacy is treated with great care and passion. This edition features a 2LP gatefold vinyl release, complete with an in-depth essay by Szabó’s official biographer Douglas Payne — a fascinating piece of cultural and musical research in its own right.
The visual design is the work of artist and industrial designer Anton Bogdanov. With no use of AI tools — just handwork, imagination, and deep respect for the material — the artwork invites the listener to spend long evenings in its layered atmosphere.

generosity of an honest experiment. On the last track of the album you’ll hear “Or do you only ever never want to make a single enemy? / That’s not freedom or humility / It’s nothing, honestly.” Oooh, that's a bad baby!

A celebrated Toronto songwriter and performer, Alex Lukashevsky has always been disobedient. Which simply means, nothing is off the table when he’s looking for his
poetic voice; when trying to find the realest I of the teller. As he sings on the lead track “that musician that’s dead” The musician is radical/ it’s the world that’s demented/ listening with their eyes, the music looks dented/ they’re over-represented.
OOOOH! was recorded in January 2024 at Sound Department in Toronto, engineered by Patrick Lefler (ROY), mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Matt Smith. All the songs were tracked live off the floor in two days, with one extra day for recording vocals, to keep the recording fully alive and breathing. As leader of Deep Dark United, as a solo performer, and a sideman in Brodie Wests’ Eucalyptus and Luka Kuplowsky’s Ryokan Band, Alex has been an outsized influence on the Toronto music scene that spawned acts like Broken Social Scene and Owen Pallett. (Pallett, who has toured with Lukashevsky, went so far as to record an entire album’s worth of Alex’s songs, backed
by a full orchestra.)

Lukashevsky has approached each of his albums and projects as something completely new, using only the musical boundaries he creates with each song. Even when he
has recorded songs with nothing but his voice and his own acoustic guitar accompaniment, the results are never “stripped down” or “back to basics,”

It’s cool to approach music as a game of “spot the influence”; Burt Bacharach-meets-Black Flag; Lana Del Rey-meets-LCD Soundsystem etc. Glorified mash-ups are promising because of their conversational nature. But they can turn us into hyperboreans; blowing cold air beyond ourselves while doing what we can to remain warm. To devise a game or a narrative is to have a winner and a loser, but we all know that just as you win/ so you lose. And does anything really change? Alex Lukashevsky and Cocoa Corner are more at ease drawing blind contours or playing an old game like consequences. They let things add up without knowing particularly how. Cognition is recognition.

Lukashevsky, in addition to writing all the songs, plays guitar and sings on OOOOH!, doing both in ways that are soulful and spikey at the same time. Joining him on guitar and vocals is his oldest child, Charlie Lukashevsky, who, at 23, is already a talented performer and songwriter in his own right. Cocoa Corner also includes Aidan McConnell, an in-demand drummer and composer, Jack Johnston, a jazz bassist and Barry Harris acolyte, and percussionist Evan Cartwright (The Weather Station, U.S. Girls, Cola, Tasseomancy), who plays steel pan and marching drum.

Working with his son and with other younger musicians is central to the album’s

Remy, the visionary musician and producer who is the leader of the critically acclaimed
project U.S. Girls. Remy duets with Lukashevsky on the imagistic and sprawling album
closer “things keep happening.”
About that album title: OOOOH! is taken straight from “that musician that’s dead” an
arch and unhinged comment on the exertion required to navigate a lifetime of music making.
Lukashevsky’s delivery of that one emotive word is a kind of cultural posture, but also a
hundred percent primitive expression. The impact is never less than visceral. His vocal
delivery ranges through rich baritone blues to keening falsettos to a kind of sprechstimme that periodically steps out from the music to grab the listener’s shirt. He
doesn’t sound too nice, but he is sincere. When life gives you lemons lament.
For OOOOH! his first official full-length album since 2012’s Too Late Blues, (a collection of knotty-yet-effervescent tunes built upon the enchantingly serpentine harmonies of Lukashevsky and his vocal collaborators, Felicity Williams (Bahamas, Bernice) and Daniela Gesundheit (Snowblink, HYDRA)), Alex has once again broken apart and rebuilt his own approach to music. Or rather (because that sounds too over-determined), he
has allowed his music to build itself into strange new shapes that only fleetingly and
coincidentally, but happily, resemble anything that might be called rock and roll. There is some editorializing within the song’s lyrics— Lukashevsky even cheekily contributes to the “spot the influence” game with the line “Muddy Waters, Rite of Spring!” a funny preemptive strike against anyone already reaching for some variation of avant-blues to describe what the song is up to here. In fact there are many names checked on this record (literally and in spirit); they are the lily pads that trace the path of this expression! than how they would like to succeed; it’s such a deep concern that it tempers their creativity and shackles their process. Current cultural proclivities, tend to comfort a certain kind of artistic failure and abnegate another kind. How many testimonials, full of heartfelt care and investment, have you heard for Taylor Swift, and yet a craftsman like Chris Weisman is often dismissed easily as though he’s doing something anti-social. what’s throwing itself in my ears and my eyes / arrogant devil ad hominem christ.
The music you will hear on this recording veers off in multiple directions at once,
and features a rock and roll spirit with a divergent heart. This is no sclerotic clomp of the Average Rock Song, but in fact a flood of humanity in all its darkness and moodiness and unpredictability. If most performers make songs that are like sports cars or pickup trucks to drive around, Lukashevsky has built something more akin to a rowboat in a tree: it’s weird and beautiful.

The debut album from jazz multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef, Jazz Mood was originally released in 1957 on New Jersey’s Savoy label. Featuring five Lateef originals the album included Curtis Fuller (trombone), Hugh Lawson (piano), Ernie Farrow (bass), and Louis Hayes (drums). Jazz saxophonist Hank Mobley’s 1957 album Jazz Message #2 was originally released on Savoy in 1957. The Spice of Life, released in November 1969, stands as Marlena Shaw's second--and final--studio album for Cadet Records, produced and arranged by the renowned Richard Evans and Charles Stepney. Phylipe Nunes Araújo's songs are as rich and varied as the diverse landscapes they were written in. The hills of Pernambuco, the lagoons of Alagoas, and the beaches of Bahia are all woven into his stripped-back, folk-inspired Brazilian songwriting. As part of a wider movement of musicians originating from Brazil's Northeast, Phylipe sees the process of music-making as the search for beauty itself.

Collaborating with fellow Northeastern artists Bruno Berle, Batata Boy and Nyron Higor among others, Phylipe's debut album represents the latest flowering of this exceptionally talented community's creative search.

The Northeast holds an almost sacred importance in Brazil's collective cultural imagination. The region bore witness to the brutal histories of Portuguese colonization and the African slave trade, while simultaneously amalgamating the diverse cultures, religions and traditions of those who have called it home. Countless Brazilian music greats - Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Hermeto Pascoal, Djavan and Luiz Gonzaga - have emerged from this vast cultural melting pot.

Born in Caruaru, Pernambuco state, and raised in the city of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe (famed for its textiles industry), Phylipe describes his music simply as "Brazilian music from the Agreste of Pernambuco". His masterful compositions thread together regional rhythm, folk poetry and sophisticated harmony.

Phylipe's musical foundations were laid in youth, listening to the local elders rehearsing their forrós, attending São João street parties in front of his house and watching the Junina Quadrilhas dance through his neighborhood. At street fairs he would read the Literatura de Cordel (handcrafted pamphlets of Brazilian folk literature), and watch the rhyme battles between cantadores, violeiros, and repentistas, who improvise verses on daily life, social commentary and philosophy. This tradition of Northeastern folk poetry proved particularly formative for Phylipe as a lyricist. "I always try to write things as simply as possible. I believe that beauty must be easily understood. If I can facilitate the path to the message, there's no reason not to. It's something I learned from the traditional poetry here: it's more beautiful if everyone understands."

At the age of 11, Phylipe first got access to the internet. As he explains: "Still in adolescence I was also able to discover things like The Beatles and Nick Drake - I started to get to know music from the rest of the world and later to correlate that with my local musical experiences." Rich with extended chords and artful dissonances, it's clear from his compositions that jazz and bossa nova also took hold, but he's quick to eschew stereotypes. "Inevitably, people associate a Brazilian musician playing a nylon-string guitar with bossa nova..." "But the foundation is another story," he asserts, "It's the Northeast."

On the guitar Phylipe experiments with the binary rhythms inherent in traditional Northeastern music. Coco, frevo, maracatu and baião are recontextualised, placed alongside Brazilian popular music (MPB), gentle lullabies and stunning ballads. "In these 10 songs, I am experimenting with making pop music on a nylon-string guitar with my foundation in the Northeastern songbook."

The contemporary musical community which Phylipe belongs to developed initially in Pernambuco's neighbouring state Alagoas. Phylipe lived in its capital Maceió for three years, where he built friendships and musical bonds with Bruno Berle and Batata Boy who together produced his album. Bruno also sings in unison with Phylipe on the duet "Valise", a song Phylipe wrote aged just 15.

In recent years, Phylipe, Bruno and Batata have migrated south to São Paulo, where the majority of the album was recorded. Other collaborators on the album include Alici, who provides vocals for the ebb and flow of "Temperim", Nyron Higor who plays drums on lead single "Asa" and the sweet indie moment "Ziz"", bassist Meno Del Picchia who plays on the mystical baião "Bixin" and the propulsive "Subindo a Ladeira", and Raphael Coelho who joins Bruno and Batata on percussion for "Santa Cruz", Phylipe's hypnotically powerful portrait of his hometown.

Known for their signature blend of Egyptian Shaabi, free jazz and improvisation, the Lebanese duo behind PRAED - Raed Yassin and Paed Conca - now assemble a full orchestra for the second time taking the music to a deeper, rooted level.

Following their 2020 release Live in Sharjah, also under the PRAED Orchestra! moniker, the duo now revisit their unique blend of Arabic heritage and free jazz sensibilities with an album that keeps pushing further into strange and unexpected directions.

The Dictionary of Lost Meanings is just that, seven fully composed pieces and large-scale improvisations, performed by an expanded ensemble of musicians from across the globe. The result is dense and playful, unpredictable but familiar, a record where Arabic rhythms and microtonal melodies collide playfully against electronics, warped vocals and orchestral textures.

It’s less about genre than about memory — like tuning into a radio station broadcasting from somewhere between the past and the future.

PRAED continue to blur the line between popular culture and experimental music in ways that feel both grounded and completely their own.

Recorded in Switzerland and mastered in Madrid, on Deságua Mello blends classical harp training with experimental techniques, creating a rich sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of the instrument. Brazilian harpist and composer Marina Mello presents Deságua, her solo debut released by the Peruvian label Buh Records. Based in Zurich, Mello has developed a unique and expressive approach to the harp, combining her classical training with a deep exploration of the instrument's sonic possibilities. Deságua is the result of this process: an intimate and expansive work that traverses sonic landscapes rich in contrast and texture. In the artist's own words, this album is a synthesis of material developed through her musical practice. The title refers to the Portuguese word that describes the moment a river flows into the sea. This concept guides the album's sonic narrative, in which each piece functions as a tributary flowing into an immersive and unexpected listening experience. From bittersweet whale-like sounds to destructive, unsettling, and shattering noise provocations, she explores, senses, and transcends the musical boundaries of her instrument. The album presents a wide range of sounds and styles, yet maintains a strong internal coherence through its technical and conceptual exploration of the harp. Mello performs on both lever and pedal harps, employing a range of non-traditional techniques: preparing the instrument with objects, using guitar effects pedals, detuning the strings, and using close mic recording to capture the subtlest sounds and the shifts that lie between them. The result is a collection of pieces that move between the melodic and the dissonant. Deságua does not shy away from repetition, noise, or raw textures. Instead, it embraces them fully, situating the album at the crossroads of contemporary music, improvisation, and electronic experimentation.

The Hardspace Mix takes this masterclass in building tension, adds a driving beat and searing percussion while keeping the iconic synth-play intact -layered with big, booming bass for that full-bodied, dancefloor-ready energy.
The flip boasts two of longtime Figure-collaborator Viers' productions. Re-L, released almost 10 years ago, it delivered that unmistakable pulse of deep, dubby, shimmering synths. Hardspace picks up these potent elements and injects them with a new low-end, dramatic rises and tight rhythms, creating a high-energy yet hypnotic flow.

The band made their initial mark in early 2021 with a well-received demo that showcased their raw and unfiltered sound. In September 2022, Last Retch released their debut full-length album, Sadism and Severed Heads. The album comprises nine tracks, including titles like "Neurosis," "Doomrider," and the title track "Sadism and Severed Heads." The cover art was crafted by the renowned painter Paolo Girardi, adding a visual intensity that complements the band's sound. Continuing their momentum, Last Retch released the Ergotism EP on April 26, 2024. This EP features tracks such as "Scalped En Masse," "Heaving Pieces," "Doomrider II," and the title track "Ergotism." The traditional, three-piece line up of Belgian, psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut has long belied the compositional prowess, captivating narrative depth and crushing live presence of a band now operating at the forefront of forward-thinking, contemporary heavy music. Having sent a shockwave through the post-metal and prog scenes with their three times repressed Pelagic Records debut Unfold The God Man in 2020 before following it up with the transformative metaphysical complexities of 2022's Violate Consensus Reality, Psychonaut have played prestigious Belgian open-air festivals like Alcatraz, Rock Herk and Boomtown Festival as well as boutique events such as Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend whilst sharing stages across Europe with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and Pelagic labelmates The Ocean and PG.Lost. The seed of World Maker took shape just as the campaign for Violate Consensus Reality came to a close, with the news that guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef was to become a father. This tilting of life's axis led De Graef, like most fathers-to-be, to re-assess what was really important. As such, the music he was inspired to write felt free of the band's previous philosophical and spiritual foundations and instead took the form of life lessons for his unborn son, a legacy of love in case something were ever to happen. This hopeful euphoria shines keenly throughout World Maker as an uncharacteristically optimistic warmth; from the reverberating Rhodes organ on the titular opening track and the meandering, free-jazz inspired guitar solo that introduces `Everything Else is Just The Weather' to elements of world music, electronica and the otherworldly voice of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and old friend Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) most notably on tracks like `Origins' which also features tabla, a pair of indian hand drums, as its propulsive heartbeat. Whilst Psychonaut's giant riffs, punishing polyrhythms and guttural vocal rage are more resplendent than ever, there is a wider dynamic spectrum to World Maker that sees the band proudly exploring their more delicate, intimate extremes as well as their most aggressive and abrasive. Not long after the birth of De Graef's son came the devastating news that both his own father and Psychonaut bassist/vocalist Thomas Michiels' father had been diagnosed with advanced cancers. Living day-to-day and torn between joy and grief, the band found themselves shedding the grand scope and world-shattering agenda of Violate Consensus Reality to focus on the here and now. Lead single `Endless Currents', the first full track on the album, explodes in a barrage of staccato guitar tapping but mellows to let the powerful, newly pared back lyrics ring out as a call to embrace the flow and follow joy. The song's final few words `Lead the way. / Soar. / Everlong.' double as both a greeting and a goodbye as the trio build their formidable post-metal might to a thunderous breaking point. Similarly, the pulsing, propellant `Stargazer', named so for De Graef's son being born in stargazer position, pairs delicate guitar motifs and folk-inflected optimism with huge and sprawling breakdowns as some of the band's most genre-pushing work to date; asking difficult but important questions of what happens next. It is `And You Came With Searing Light' though that most immediately exemplifies Psychonaut's redirected ambition on World Maker, as euphoria collides with blinding fury. The first track written for the album, `_Searing Light' is easily the most complex and initially wouldn't sound out of place on Violate Consensus Reality. Originally meant to be the new album's opening track; the decision to defer its impact, not to mention its compositional and dynamic gravity, speaks of a fundamental change to the band's very core. The words "Discover the world with wide eyes" recurring throughout speak as much to those having lost a part of their world as they do to those seeing it for the first time. Amidst such turbulent times, the band found strength and support within their Post-Metal community. The album was recorded and produced by the band alongside their longtime collaborator and close friend Chiaran Verheyden (Hippotraktor) with help and advice from Psychonaut's live engineer Victor, who will no doubt make this album sound just as awesome on stage. Even the artwork for World Maker was a family affair, being designed by close friend Sam Coussens of Belgian cosmic sludge metallers Pothamus. In the face of life's soaring highs and desolate lows, World Maker is direct and brave without sacrificing any of Psychonaut's raw power, creative innovation or inimitable musical depth. Josi Miller aus Leipzig-Connewitz macht parallel zu ihrem Studium an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar erste DJ-Erfahrungen in der ostdeutschen Subkultur. 2017 zieht sie - längst Protagonistin des Homegirls-Podcasts - nach Berlin. Sie begleitet Trettmann jahrelang als Tour-DJ und ist solo ständig auf Achse - von Kapstadt bis London, vom about:blank bis zum Institut für Zukunft, vom MELT bis zur Fusion. Mit KLAN-Musiker Stefan Heinrich gründet Josi das Elektropop-Duo Import Export, veranstaltet unzählige Workshops für Flinta* und beaufsichtigt Produktionen für befreundete Künstler*innen à la Jolle oder Zugezogen Maskulin. Seit etwa zwei Jahren hostet Josi das ARTE-Format "Chat with a DJ", in dem sie regelmäßig Künstler*innen wie Marlon Hoffstadt, Anja Schneider oder Acid Pauli empfängt. Im Herbst 2023 beschließt Josi während eines Kreativcamps in Frankreich ein Soloalbum in Angriff zu nehmen. Im Kreis vertrauter Musiker*innen wie Fatoni, Aywing, Lambert, Torky Tork und BEACHPEOPLE entstehen die ersten Fragmente. 2024 zieht Josi im Rahmen eines Förderprogramms für mehrere Wochen zu Post-Punk-Ikone Gudrun Gut in die Uckermark, wo sich ihr Vorhaben konkretisiert. Am Ende einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit der eigenen Psyche und unzähligen Stunden zwischen Synthesizern und Beat-Software steht "4 Stages Of Sleep" - ein Debütalbum, das Breakbeat, Pop und Electronica miteinander fusioniert.
