Milan-based Piezo is usually found at the helm of his Ansia label, exploring a versatile spectrum of experimental club music grounded in soundsystem presence and non-linear structures. On Ecstatic Nostalgia he edges his sound into a more driving, techno-spirited framework which lends itself to the energy of the UFO series beautifully. From tightly wound, artfully fractured 150 rumble and elegant sci-fi breakbeat on to needlepoint electronica and subtly trance-brushed atmospherics, Piezo's broad palette fuels an ear-snagging EP which balances visceral impact with a deft touch.

Anyone familiar with Dekmantel's flagship festival will know the UFO stages showcase spikier strains of modernist body music, and the label series serves to push these sounds forwards in the hands of consistently visionary producers. After a what could be seen as a brief pause in the UFO series - it's with a fresh wave of releases.

The archetypal type of records My Bags loves to release, "The Edge" is built as a crate digger paradise, a timeless record linking past and present into a highly concentrate of divine grooves.

As is the case with fellow 'enforcers'-turned-producers, Henry 'Junjo' Lawes and Philip 'Fatis' Burrell, George Phang had been involved in the internecine street battles that had split Kingston into rival politically-aligned zones during the 1970s, when the broader effects of Cold War politics were played out in Jamaica. Following some encouragement from Sly and Robbie, Phang changed focus, putting the politics aside to concentrate on music production, becoming one of the most important producers of the early 1980s in the process. Phang took over the rhythm twins' Power House label around 1982, and with the duo forming the mainstays of his productions, the result was guaranteed audio dynamite, as this killer devotional track by Barrington Levy from 1983 so amply suggests—a beautiful extended slice of late roots, heading towards the emerging dancehall style.

Spanish-born producer Digge Shim relocated to Malmö, Sweden a few years back and found his calling in the reincarnation of electro through his relentless output of acid-flavored 303 jams. Besides establishing the Malmø Traxx label he also ran the city’s foremost record shop for electronic dance music.

For his first release on @blundar.co the producer has sourced tracks from his archive of tapes and found a batch of unreleased gems that seemed to fit nicely together in a sort of megamix style. On Side I, he collects some indica-infused ambient and goes all in on Gregorian chants and samples of political speeches. Side II is a head nodding trip through leftfield experiments in downtempo, dubby disco and the tropical ghosts of boom bap.

Picking up where "Máquina de Vénus" (Blacksea Não Maya) left off, this is now 100% DJ Kolt at the controls. Slow, grinding power tools working their way across the complex web of ideas the producer lays down. Truly a next level thing, taking elements from recognized styles such as tarraxo, EDM, even trap, bending their accepted signifiers to suit his own creative mind instead of the crowd pleasing monster that constantly haunts Dance Music. Here we find a wonderful, twisted approach to the dancefloor, one heavy on brain activity, fantastically moody, showcasing music that we long ago quit trying to define.

"Despertar" (again) changes the game, adding secret doors and pathways previously unheard and unthought of. This right here is the mark of a unique producer. You'll have a hard time trying to compare Kolt with any other artist on Príncipe, much less on the outside world. Debut LP from David Grubbs (Gastr del Sol), Wendy Eisenberg, and Kramer. Includes free download of an additional 15 minutes of music. Squanderers are the glowingly new 2024 vintage trio of guitarists Wendy Eisenberg and David Grubbs alongside multi-instrumentalist and legendary producer Kramer. The group sprung into action as the duo of Kramer and Grubbs with the single 'Congress of Poodles' b/w 'Lendrick Muir Bible Study Weekend,' part of Kramer's 2023 Shimmy-Disc box set Rings of Saturn. Squanderers now enter the arena of live performance with the addition of bona-fide guitar slayer Eisenberg, a dream of a foil to Grubbs's grubbslike guitarisms, setting the scene for Kramer to follow his musical divining rod. Divining urges not dirges. In Grubbs's book-length poem, The Voice in the Headphones, 'Squanderer' is the nickname that most deeply troubles of the book's unnamed protagonist: "Hang your head, Squanderer. You'll never darken the doorway of Studio A." Will this trio of inveterate Squanderers redeem themselves?

First released in 1988, Kaira was the debut album by Toumani Diabate, master player of the kora - the West African harp with 21 strings. Kaira remains one of the most important and influential kora albums of all time. It was the first international release to feature a solo kora without voice. The album turned Toumani into a star overnight, whilst also establishing the kora's reputation as one of Africa's most captivating and versatile indigenous instruments. Kaira is now reissued on CD for the first time in almost two decades, as part of Chrysalis Records' acclaimed series of reissues of the music of Toumani Diabaté. Remastered from the production masters by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering. Housed in a 4-panel digisleeve with an accompanying 8-page booklet featuring new sleeve notes and previously unseen photographs by co-producer Lucy Duran. Kaira is also reissued on 180g vinyl and housed in a poly-lined inner sleeve. The album is accompanied by a 12" x 12" double-sided insert.

Sarang Bang Records proudly presents Eternal Afternoon, the latestfull-length offering from Auckland-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Joe Kaptein. Drawing inspiration from the 70s jazz-funk innovations of Donald Byrdand Lonnie Liston Smith
and elements of dub and disco, Eternal Afternoon is an uplifting collection of five original Kaptein compositions - a joyful antidote to these troubled times.

Featuring Kaptein’s intricately layered keys and tight ensemblearrangements, the album is augmented by masterful touches of flute and saxophone by Aotearoa New Zealand jazz icon Nathan Haines and backed by local heavyweights Elijah Whyte (drums) and Wil Goodinson (bass), the backbone of Kaptein’s regular working band.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Kaptein appeared on the Auckland scene a few years ago and quickly made a name for himself owing to his versatility, impeccable taste and musicianship, and has established himself as thego-to keyboardist for the likes of Nathan Haines, The Circling Sun, Princess Chelsea, The Situations, and Muroki.

Before recording Eternal Afternoon, Kaptein somehow managed to channel his unrelenting creative energy into three low-key, but brilliant self-released digital albums in between his hectic international touring schedule and session work. These exploratory recordings touch on drummachine and synth-driven psych-lounge, Krautrock, experimental jazz, and Bacharachian pop, allowing the listener a glimpse into the depth of Kaptein’s vision and his wide-ranging musical interests.

WRWTFWW Records is in a state of total bliss as it announces the release of the Pitstop Box compiling all 24 tracks from Japanese house music pioneer Shinichiro Yokota’s two acclaimed albums Do It Again and Again (2016) and I Know You Like It (2019). The collection, available on vinyl for the first time ever, is presented as six 45rpm-cut 12inches housed (!) in a superb slipcase box set created by Lopetz, designer, illustrator, typographer, and co-founder of Swiss graphic design studio Büro Destruct. Included as bonuses are two sticker sheets.

Previously only available on CD in Japan via cult electronic label Far East Recording, Shinichiro Yokota’s album discography finally gets a long overdue vinyl release in the form of a limited-edition box set housing (!) six 12inches and a total of 24 songs showcasing the house legend’s celebrated sound. With a production style drawing from a rich blend of funk, hip hop, electronic, and Japanese influences, Yokota’s music is loved for its simplicity, its hypnotic quality, and, most importantly, its SOUL – homegrown 90s soulful melodic club music…pure love!

The Pitstop Box, full of dancefloor treasures and sprinkled with downtempo gems, not only defines Yokota’s personal journey but also resonates as an essential contribution to the house genre and Japanese music in general. It includes his house hits (“Right Here Right Now”, “Night Drive” and the list goes on), a cover of “Simoon” by Haruomi Hosono’s Logic System, and a collaboration with his longtime partner and electronic music hero Soichi Terada.

Shinichiro Yokota began his musical history in Tokyo, inspired by electronic music giants such as Yellow Magic Orchestra and Kraftwerk. He co-founded Far East Recording with the great Soichi Terada (who also worked with WRWTFWW for the Omodaka compilation) in 1990. After releasing the now highly sought after Far East Recording album with Terada in 1992 (from which his viral hit “Do It Again” is from), he took a hiatus from music and, most notably, brought his passion for sports cars to the next level by launching Night Pager, a company he started with his wife, specializing in tuning sports cars and modifying limiters for competition racers. It’s this side of Yokota’s life which has inspired the design of the Pitstop Box. He triumphantly came back to music with the album Do It Again and Again in 2016, consisting of unreleased 90s recordings as well as new material, and followed it up with I Know You Like It in 2019. His work has influenced generations of producers, and has expanded Japanese house music's reach on the global stage. Experience it on vinyl now.

What a person needs in 2024, according to singer-pianist An Pierlé? "Less regret. Less fake. Less fear. And the courage to live in the now." She sings about it all with the wisdom of a woman who no longer has to be a girl. Four years after Wiga Waga, the An Pierlé Quartet (APQ) is back with Ultimate Survival, its second album already on the prestigious W.E.R.F. records.

Compared to the APQ debut, the grooves are deeper and the lyrics more confronting. That has in part to do with the turn that Pierlé's life took. The illness with a capital C was warded off and the realisation that you can best enjoy your days while you have them has been all the more urgent since. Pierlé doesn't let something so dark dominate the new album though: the title doesn't refer to that period, but was given to her as a gift by artist Patrick Van Caeckenbergh, who designed the cover. Pierlé: "He drew his inspiration from an old book about animals that take care of other animal species. We all need some of that these days."

Ultimate Survival is an experiential album that takes you along on the undulations of a tale. First single The Sting immediately sets the tone. The song is about accepting the stupid things people do, even though they know better. The album celebrates the liberation of being able to start again with a clean slate, alternating husky warmth with the virtuoso outbursts of a seasoned voice. This is not classical jazz, but it is the work of a bona fide jazz band. With keyboard player Hendrik Lasure and drummer Casper Van De Velde (together: Schntzl), APQ pretty much has the core of 'The New Wave of Belgian Jazz' in its ranks.

The godfather of that jazz wave is producer/reed-blower Koen Gisen. "Casper and Hendrik are international class acts ", says Gisen. "The great thing is: they almost never play the same thing twice, not even in the studio. Live, this will be a wonderful derailment. In the knowledge that, thanks to these two, they will always land on their feet." Pierlé: "Our boys also have old souls. And that is exactly why they're our mentors, instead of the other way around. So we can opt for adventure. And to live in the now."

Genesis' seventh studio album was released in February 1976 on Charisma Records and was the first to feature drummer Phil Collins as lead vocalist after the departure of Peter Gabriel. The album was a critical and commercial success in the U.K. and U.S., reaching No. 3 and No. 31 respectively. A Trick Of The Tail was a landmark album for the band, and it still stands today as one of their best with classics such as "Dance On A Volcano" and "Squonk."

In the wake of Peter Gabriel's departure from the band, the remaining members of Genesis were determined to forge ahead, showcasing their songwriting prowess and recording prowess in the absence of their iconic frontman. This period marked the genesis of A Trick of the Tail. In mid-1975, the band embarked on an intensive creative journey, crafting new compositions and diligently rehearsing them. Their quest for a new lead vocalist led them to sift through a staggering 400 audition tapes.

As the autumn leaves began to fall, Genesis found themselves at Trident Studios in October, accompanied by producer David Hentschel. Surprisingly, the recording sessions began with an air of uncertainty regarding who would take on the role of lead vocalist. However, fate intervened when Phil Collins was persuaded to step up and deliver a powerful rendition of "Squonk." The strength of his performance not only won over the band but also paved the way for him to assume lead vocals for the entirety of the album.

Genesis has always been synonymous with grandeur and innovation, both in their electrifying live performances and their trailblazing studio albums. From timeless classics such as Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England By The Pound, to the epic concept album The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, the band has consistently pushed the boundaries of musical creativity.

‘Dynamic Movements - Music for Exercise & Relaxation’ is the new album by the Swedish electronic music producer/remix duo of Johan Agebjörn and Mikael Ögren, lovingly released on Ltd. cassette via Lo Recordings.

Back in the 1980’s there was an exercise craze, people wore lycra bodysuits and headbands. All over the world people were making ‘Dynamic Movements’, determined to change the flow, turn their lives around and step into a bright new future. At the same time the New Age movement was blossoming and meditation was the way forward. Meditation and deep relaxation with maybe some crystals and Unicorns, just for fun.

Inspired by these exercise tapes of the 70s/80s and in tribute to those times and movements, Johan and Mikael worked with producers from around the world to create an album of diverse interpretations, bringing us an album of deep sonic nourishment. Sometimes throbbing and at other times gently lapping at your toes, the result is a lavish cassette contrasting ‘music for exercise’ on side A and ‘music for relaxation’ on side B.

Kicking off side one is the duo’s own ‘Dynamo Dance’, a resonant, pulsating slice of electronic pleasure, which gives way to tracks by acclaimed collaborators like the crisp, cruise control groove of Causeway, the dub chug delight of Jarle Brathen and the irrepressible majesty of ‘Lovelock’ (Steve Moore), before Johan and Mikael return with a tribute to the late great Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk.

Side two’s sumptuous drift into a world of soft pads, rippling arpeggios and sultry saxophone (all the saxophone on the album is by the aforementioned Steve Moore) is initiated by Seahawks, with their lysergic ‘Phase Induction’ leading to the extended Cafe Del Mar beach bar ambience of the legendary Fax records maestro Dr Atmo, continuing with the impossibly lush shimmer of Mary Yalex, the gravity defying drift of One Million Eyes and the divine dream world of Patricia Wolf.

Perc Trax is proud to unleash the first full EP by London based producer Million. Initial contact with Perc during lockdown led to the collaborative track 'Rotopod'; released in late 2022 as part of the 'Forever 3' vinyl EP. Next was Million's dance floor destroying remix of Perc's own 'Fire In Negative' which came out last June and was one of Perc Trax's biggest selling tracks of 2025.

A special moment here with this one. This is one of my personal all time favorite tunes since I first heard it just about 20 years ago. Likewise, it’s been on the DKR wish list since the very first time such a list was made. This record has it all - one of the best rhythms of the entire ‘80s let alone the early digital canon, laced with lazers, killer synths, dive bombs, vocoder, screeching across the border, militant lyrics, gigantic drums, perfect claps, the list goes on and on. An absolutely perfect record for the period and for the ages. Hopeton Lindo lets loose an awesome vocal - his salute to the heroes and martyrs of the militant struggle against South African apartheid - Benjamin Moloise, Stephen Biko and of course Nelson Mandela. If you don’t know, read up on these men ASAP. This tune was made at Tubby’s on a wild mix of the original King Tubby’s tempo riddim, and was originally released on the very short lived Aqua label due to some producer runnings back in the day. Now recut from the original master tape, this is one of those joyous occasions where this new issue actually sounds better than the original, which suffered from being made at the notoriously quality plagued GG’s pressing plant. Fans of late ‘80s digital and militant reggae take note - this is your perfect storm. A long time searching for this one, finally here.

Founded in 1994, LA's Aberdeen were an underground twee-pop group who’s tight discography of beautifully melodic, melancholic and dreamy songs envelope the cliche topics of summer sunshine, young love, and the lack thereof. Since 2006 the band has been helmed solely by lead writer & producer John Girgus.

Their music primarily resided on the Bristolian cult label Sarah Records, where they would release of some of their most beloved tracks such as 'Byron' and 'Fireworks' in the mid 90s. They are a band who's stripped back sound had a blissful focus on the love of melody whose influence has subconsciously woven itself throughout the current generation of underground pop and indie music.

"Bad Bad Hats are an indie rock trio from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Strut proudly reintroduces a classic from the Topomic catalogue, Ice’s ‘Each Man Makes His Destiny’, officially available on vinyl for the first time.
After relocating from the United States to Paris, Ice began performing regularly in the city’s Barbès district, a vibrant area with a large North African immigrant community. The band’s heavy Afro-funk sound caught the attention of producer Pierre Jaubert, leading them to become the resident session musicians at his independent Parisound studio.
Immersed in the local influences, Ice began integrating African-inspired chants, textures, and rhythms into their distinct funk style. In 1973, the group recorded their debut album, ‘Each Man Makes His Destiny’, a psychedelic funk exploration that hinted at the evolving sound that would later define them as the Lafayette Afro-Rock Band and, eventually, Ice once more.
Produced by Jaubert, the album brings some powerful social commentary on claustrophobic tracks like ‘Too Little Room’ and ‘Suicide’, under-pinned by a determination to succeed despite the adversity.

Hot off the back of their Human By Default imprint’s fiftieth release milestone, Miami-based duo Bedouin return to home turf with two heady cuts that have already been road-tested on wide-eyed crowds at Pacha Ibiza during their weekly SAGA residency and beyond. Opener 'Better Than This' is a soul-stirring house track with tender vocals from IVETA that bring a seductive edge to the bouncy beats while worldly synths weave intricately through cascading strings. On the flip, 'Khazna' is a seven-minute deep house trip lit up with well-curated synth work and peppered with lush, swinging woodblocks. "Daylight" is a warm, uplifting deep house jam with skippy beats, warm rhodes, bass and percussion. Vocals come from Toribio's sister Sharin
with an uplifting message referencing classic 90s house lyricism.

Securing his place in the scene as a mainstay after consecutively acclaimed releases on his own record label and beyond as well as lengthy touring around the globe's best venues, Altinbas returns to Token the only way he knows how. The Fuse resident's ethereal mark on driven techno comes this time with an aquatic touch, diving further into his bubbly architecture and melodic intrigue.

'Voyage' can mean many things; the past few years have been an incessant trip across the world's greatest sound systems and most dedicated audiences for the Belgian producer, or then perhaps it's a reference to the climactic and emotional nature of his productions. In any case, it's also the title track for his third EP on Token Records. Balancing warmth and anticipation, Altinbas is able pack in all the elements of a timeless record while still providing the space to breathe. Smooth and introspective, 'Voyage' kicks off the EP on a cloud of a club roller. 'Stygious Night' shares the first side with a more minimal but nonetheless effective approach. The tonal synth work on this record begs for a powerfully round system worthy of only the best dancefloors, and the space that washes around in the background gives it true dimension. Maintaining minimalism with structure through drum arrangement, 'Stygious Night' is reminiscent of a not so distant past in Berlin crafted with a clearly modern approach. As the record flips, 'Venus Ballroom' takes us by surprise with an uncommonly resonant sound at the forefront. This stylistic switch blends perfectly with historic tracks on the label that have come to define its sound since 2007. Hypnotic, psychotic, quirky, and mental - 'Venus Ballroom' proves a deep understanding of the music and appreciation of versatility. 'Psychosphere' closes down the EP with a classic sound of dissonant stabs to resonate through a foggy room. Altinbas highlights his sound with frantic clap sequences and short rides to keep his percussion rolling but dry while his synths create the acoustic he's been known to craft for the past few years. Following the launch of his new music label, Early Morning, in September 2024, Guy J sets the stage for its sophomore release-an immersive two-track concept by acclaimed producer Roy Rosenfeld.



Roy, an artist whose productions often transcend genre boundaries, offers near-17-minute material with an imaginative work that captures attention and a creative depth.

The opening track, "Forgotten," evolves with a measured intensity, layering elements that cultivate a ritualistic atmosphere. The arrangement unfolds through indigenous-percussive influences, steadily progressing towards a resonant climax. By the third act, rich, deep chords punctuate the experience with a sense of calm, only to transition into a melodic break followed by the tribal-inspired crescendo.

Equally compelling, the closing "Hello" begins with an 80s arcade-inspired, lo-fi aesthetic juxtaposed against high-fidelity beats. Driven by ethnic percussion, it conjures the raw energy of ancient rituals, evoking primal imagery of witch doctors dancing around fires to honor the cycles of life.

Here, Rosenfeld merges traditional, futuristic, and vintage synth elements in a call to fellow producers, challenging them to innovate while empowering dancers to embrace nights of hedonistic freedom.

Label boss Paul Still was a music industry don and has proud connections with the trailblazers of the scene from his Croydon roots, the OG home of the sound, where he sourced and sold these vinyl bombs from the back of his van around London and beyond during that time. The rare and choice cuts he has uncovered are now remastered and reissued, offering this legendary sound life to a new fanbase all over again.

David Allred is a prolific composer and producer based in Portland, Oregon. His new album The Beautiful World captures an enriched, realised understanding of why he composes in the first place. Dedicated to the expression of existential themes such as death, grief, longing and loss, the album’s core theme centres around the suicide of a young girl Lauren, who was a family friend to Allred. For as long as he could remember, Allred always created music out of a kind of dissociative state which he finds alluringly easy to lapse into. A repetition of a motif is usually where he begins composing. But unlike his previous works, The Beautiful World firmly has one foot in reality and is deeply intertwined with Allred’s relationships, past and present. Through his correspondence with Erased Tapes label head and the album’s producer, Robert Raths, over the past year, he came to realise that everyone has a Lauren in a way – someone they’d lost. Through writing to Raths, Allred was able to draw out this thread from the work and position it more clearly as the central concept to this work. The music doesn’t reflect the chaos of trauma, instead it has a therapeutic quality. It was through this dialogue that Allred was able to create what may be his most cohesive body of work to date. The 11 track album unfolds around Oh Lauren, providing the core of the album’s sentiment – how grief returns to us throughout life over and over. Embedded more than halfway through the album, Allred allows listeners to cohabit a meditative space through ambient textures, drones and ballads echoing the vocal sincerity of Arthur Russell, Daniel Johnston and the hypnotic storytelling of Robert Ashley. To truly reckon with The Beautiful World’s emotional position, listeners must understand the importance of the figure of Lauren, and the significance she has had throughout Allred’s life. Lauren’s suicide as a child provided the catalyst for Allred’s lifelong grief. But it was death anxiety and grief itself which provided Allred a link to a universal relationship that people have with each other and the world they live in. Impermanence and loss are the driving force behind all of our connections. The trance-like nature of the album perhaps comes from David Allred’s time sense – particularly when it comes to memory and trauma. Time becomes non-linear rather than a straight line – where one can repeat or return to the same themes but older and in a different frame of mind. Grief continues to manifest itself in life and despite personal growth, there will always be moments where the same feeling will manifest itself again. The album encourages listeners to sit with the concept of grief, and Allred is hopeful they can find comfort and learn to process it in a healing way. The Beautiful World is therefore heavily influenced by Allred’s work in therapy, particularly his relationship to writing music. In the past, Allred would be composing music as a means to dissociate from his life, but the album sees him engaging and connecting more authentically than ever with others and himself. Despite his prolific previous works being made in the company of others, Allred needed to step back from the scenes that he’s worked in to discover what he really wanted to create. Allred concludes: “In the power of love, curiosity, humour, and reconciliation, we give you The Beautiful World.”

Embarking on the next Vargmal chapter with 'Bacchanalia', the new EP from Italian-born, Londonbased producer Andrea Bonalumi, better known as Big Hands. Across three original tracks and a remix by British producer Al Wootton, 'Bacchanalia' moves through hypnotic grooves exuding primal energy and forward momentum, blurring the lines between percussive techno intensity and
subterranean bass vibrations.

Opening with 'Bacchanalia I', Big Hands lays down the foundation with a rhythmic drive where each beat shifts and evolves within a dense, organic framework, capturing the raw energy of live modular electronics. The journey continues as 'Bacchanalia II' shifts focus toward heavier, low-end vibrations, where intricate layers of bass and rhythm interplay in tension-filled dialogue that builds
intensifying energy.

'Bacchanalia III' offers a moment of reflection, pulling back the energy to reveal a more sparse and atmospheric landscape. It's a fitting progression that offers a glimpse into Big Hands' more introspective side, balancing the EP's momentum. Al Wootton's closing remix of 'Bacchanalia I' amplifies the raw percussive energy while adding his signature touch of spaced-out echoes androlling rhythms bringing the release full circle.

Available on vinyl for the first time ever, Tarzanland is late 80s California sun-soaked kankyo ongaku, minimalistic proto-chillwave, the synth melody of a pleasant Sunday breeze as the ocean waves breathe in and breathe out. Steve Winwood and Steely Dan come to mind as the ambient sound design of an imaginary John Hughes movie unfolds as all pieces of the puzzle come together for a blissful journey of simple pleasures.

Daisuke Hinata is a Grammy-nominated artist, composer, producer, and member of Interior. This is WRWTFWW’s third release centered around the work of the band, following the reissue of their Haruomi Hosono-produced self-titled debut (1982) and the first release ever of Sculpture of Time (Apocalypse), their rarely heard before commissioned piece for German environmental artist NILS-UDO. The duo Weekend Affair, gazing up at the sky, composed and wrote their third French album, Vol Intérieur, with clouds, planes, and birds in mind—everything that floats in the air and gives the impression of a certain kind of freedom. The lyrics reflect the love stories so dear to Louis Aguilar, sung over Cyril Debarge’s minimalist synth-pop instrumentals, where the bouncing bass and strong kick are never far behind. As in 2018 with the album Du Rivage, the duo teamed up with Reims-based producer Yuksek to refine their artistic vision and bring their songs to the edge of dance music.

This subtle balance has become the duo’s signature, growing more distinct with each album. The album consists of 10 tracks, including a cover of Le courage des oiseaux by Dominique A. The 150,000 streams of the first two singles from the album show that their listeners haven’t forgotten them and are quite on board with this new release.

Blending late 2000's minimalism and harmonies with razor-sharp sound design, Nous'klaer Audio is excited to present Erik Luebs. The American via Japan techno producer joins the label with a four-track solo EP dropping in 2025. While Erik has released music on other labels sparingly, his self-released catalog is vast, versatile, and deeply immersive - a favorite on repeat at Nous'klaer HQ. We're proud to present his first offering with us. Glimpse of Reality is a deep dive into syncopated rhythms and intricate sound design. Straight from the bustling scene of Brussels comes Nous'klaer Audio's latest signing: an effervescent debut album by the young Belgian-Japanese producer, live-performer, pianist and DJ Gaiko. Gaiko (real name Kaito) bursts onto the scene with a nine-track full-length album that highlights the rich and diverse output of this emerging talent. His first offering spans left-field electronics, IDM and DnB, blending intricate drum-programming with lush synths and contemporary, contrasting piano pieces. The long player has been shaped into a push-and-pull dynamic of tempo and mood, a flow of quests that gradually grow into their entirety. From atmospheric textures to tight, propulsive beats, Gaiko builds layers that ripple into each subsequent track. This contrasting yet complementary energy flows from the tender "Millennium" into the unassuming highs of "Setagaya," while the floating electronica of IDM-leaning tracks "Subdued" and "Ever's Lullaby" build up to standout tracks "Martyr" and "Crush." The mysterious Parisian producer draws from a deep-rooted catalogue of releases under alternative aliases, each and every one reflecting a wholly nostalgic flair reminiscent of yesteryear - on this occasion, channelled as a house affair.

Brazilian artist Acid Asian steps up to Charlotte de Witte's KNTXT imprint with his Deep Soul EP, which explores the many different facets of his sound from rap and trap to techno and psytrance.

Fábio Seiki is São Paulo-based and started this project in 2020 during the pandemic. Since then he has made an impact with his fresh blend of influences and love of his 303. In 2022 he was the first artist to release on Charlotte de Witte's sub label, RPM, with his Break Into Acid EP and followed it up last year with The Night EP.

On Deep Soul EP, he says: "The title track is one of my favourites because it represents me 100%. Focusing on the acid line with this mantra vocal, I wanted to express something more deep to this track. 'Space Colors' is a track with which I wanted to express this new hard techno era using the hardstyle's kick but keeping my style. 'Ain't Nobody Like Us' is my background from rap/trap and 'Humans' is my psytrance background, it's an off-beat track.”

Charlotte de Witte adds: “Acid Asian is back! From his first release with us in 2022, it's been such a pleasure to see him grow and gain respect in the techno scene. We've played many shows together and he's one of the most talented, most instinctive producers out there. Playing Space Colors as the closing track at the main stage of Tomorrowland Brazil where Fábio was dancing in the crowd, was a very wholesome moment. These four tracks are absolute bombs and also show the variety he has to offer as a producer. I'm very excited about this release and I hope you are too!”

Opener 'Deep Soul' is hard and fast with a hypnotic vocal and gurgling acid lines that shoot through the mix to electrifying effect. 'Space Colors' has slamming drums that are lit up with bright, shiny trance chords and underpinned by a rugged bassline that is sure to raise the roof. There is a fantastic rhythm to 'Ain't Nobody Like Us' with its fresh drum patterns and funky edge, narcotic trap vocals and trippy synths. 'Humans' shuts down with ghoulish vocal sounds and squelchy synths all stuffed into a driving, unrelenting hard techno groove.

Fargo is a fantastic dark comedy-crime drama television series created and written by Noah Hawley and inspired by Joel & Ethan Coen’s 1996 movie of the same name. Both Coen brothers serve as executive producers on the series. The show stars Martin Freeman (The Hobbit trilogy), Billy Bob Thornton, Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and more.

The soundtrack features selections from the show’s original music composed by Jeff Russo (Power, Necessary Roughness, About Cherry). Its score is well done, with different motifs or instruments assigned to different characters. For Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman’s character) it’s that nearly-whimsical main theme. For the drifter Lorne Malvo (Thornton’s character) it’s sleigh bell chimes that represent his animalistic nature coming out.

This is a limited edition contains of 666 individually numbered copies on transparent green vinyl. The package includes an insert with pictures of the characters.

This 30th anniversary reissue of The Clean's second studio LP marks its debut appearance on vinyl in North America.

Modern Rock crackles with spontaneous energy, as if The Clean—namely, Hamish Kilgour, David Kilgour, and Robert Scott—couldn’t help but make music together whenever they were in the same room. Following their 1989 reunion tour and the 1990 release of Vehicle, those opportunities were rare, with Hamish in New York City fronting The Mad Scene, David releasing his first solo album, and Robert recording albums with The Bats at a breakneck pace. Then, for nine days in April 1994, the stars aligned over Dunedin and Modern Rock bloomed into life.

For this reissue, Modern Rock has been remastered from the original tapes by producer and engineer Tex Houston and preserves Hamish Kilgour’s original artwork.

Maverick musician and artist Edvard Graham Lewis returns with ‘Alreet?’: an exciting album of majestic, experimental pop. Yet, the cheery North Eastern greeting of the album’s title belies the tension and drama that lies within. Here, you’ll find visceral rhythms, warm electronics and multiple melodic layers, with words that are sometimes sung, sometimes spoken. Lewis’s deep, distinctive voice has matured into a rich baritone: portentous yet immediate - and it serves his material exceptionally well. Although he is perhaps best known as bassist/ vocalist/lyricist with post-punk titans Wire, Lewis’s solo work is equally powerful. Lyrically he remains one of our finest wordsmiths. His desire to edit his text to its essentials is smartly counterbalanced by an ability to seed double or triple meanings in his phraseology. Consequently, the whole enterprise is studded with lines and couplets that snare our attention with unexpected hooks and barbs. The album is co produced with Swedish songwriter, producer and musician Max Lorentz, who has worked with everyone from acclaimed composer Magnus Lindberg to ABBA’s Agnetha Faltskog. As ‘Alreet?’ clearly demonstrates, Lewis is still firmly facing the future and determined to unearth new sonic treasure. Introducing "Stop 2 Quit," a captivating new deep, jazzy, and lo-fi house music 12" compilation EP that delves into the art of sonic escape amidst the overwhelming noise of modern life. Featuring a hard-hitting lineup of producers — Darone Sassounian, Jamma D, and Jarren representing Los Angeles, Roche in Portland, and Morris Mobley in Nancy, France — each track serves as a remedy to the relentless barrage of messages and distractions that flood our minds.

Theresa Stroetges returns to Karaoke Kalk with her second album for the Berlin-based label, her fifth solo full-length with her Golden Diskó Ship project in total. Having released records with the Indian-German band project Hotel Kali as well as Painting, a group dedicated to audio-visual concepts, »Oval Sun Patch« sees her embrace influences from club culture, advanced electronic music, and pop more firmly than ever before. Over the past 15 years, Golden Diskó Ship has served a vessel with which the Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist has traversed a variety of genres and circumnavigated all conventions in the process. With »Oval Sun Patch,« Stroetges again sets sail into unknown waters with what is perhaps her catchiest album so far—beat-driven, playful, atmospheric, and at times thoroughly anthemic. This is the sound of Golden Diskó Ship moving forward.

A life lived in transit, the vastness of bodies of water and the isolation of islands as well as more generally notions of processes and progress have been recurring motives throughout Stroetges’ previous records and also mark »Oval Sun Patch.« In fact, the foundation for the six pieces was laid when she was working abroad and at times close to the sea. The massive three-part album closer »Earth Before The Space Race« was conceived as a multi-channel audio-visual performance piece during a 2021 residency at Zaratan Arte Contemporânea in Lisbon. The others were written in the following year during two other residencies when Stroetges first spent time in Austria at the sound art festival Klangmanifeste in Lindabrunn and then visited Portugal once more for a stay at Goethe-Institut in Lisbon. With the help of Shelley Barradas, who lent her a guitar, and Julia Klein, who helped her setting up a temporary studio in the Goethe-Institut Portugal’s auditorium, she made the preliminary recordings of what would later become this album.

»Oval Sun Patch«, later refined in Berlin and mixed in close collaboration with London-based engineer Hannes Plattmeier, is a direct result of Stroetges having to work with what was available to her at the time of writing and recording. While her distinct guitar playing—evocative yet funky, complex but catchy—once more features heavily and she uses her voice in manifold ways to sometimes harmonise with herself or creating complex canons as counterpoints to her her own lead vocals, the electronic gear she worked with dominates the album both compositionally and sonically. Stroetges’ music has always displayed a passion for club culture and advanced electronic music, but on »Oval Sun Patch« she proves once and for all how well these influences can be integrated into her unconventional approach to songwriting.

However, the punchy beat and Moroder-like bassline that form the backbone of »Dolphins With Soft Helmets,« the throbbing house and techno grooves underneath »Ephemeral Carnivores« and »Well-Oiled Machine« as well as the jittery IDM rhythms of »Google Your New Name« and her nods to trip-hop with »Tiny Island« do not so much follow established formulas as they use them as a starting point for wild experimentation instead. Stroetges juxtaposes complex rhythms with interlocking melodies and rich harmonies in ways that continue to surprise throughout and still leave enough space for the occasional wistful guitar or vocal passage. Nowhere does this approach feel more epic than on the 12 ½ minutes long »Earth Before The Space Race,« which takes its time to unfold, changing its pace and mood throughout.

»Oval Sun Patch« is an album about change. The lyrics describe constant transformations of sceneries, relationships, physical and emotional states as well as the climate throughout its running time. Stroetges in the meanwhile leads the way as a singer, songwriter and producer who lets her music evolve constantly. This is sound, moving forward.

A familiar face to the art circles of NYC and Detroit, Scott Avery is the tabbed alias for Philly-born, Detroit-based producer, Amani Olu — an ambitious creative who makes his music debut via Child Self. The EP includes four disparate tracks that explore wanderlust, play, experimentation, and unencumbered curiosity. An homage to innocence and the source of his creative expression, Child Self represents a juncture in Avery’s personal history, a moment of reflection as the artist considers the roads which have led him to the present.

Throughout the EP, memory—both personal and historical—resurfaces in roundabout ways, unlocked in ecstatic sonic transmissions, expressing the depths and sentiments that language can’t express. Coupled with Detroit’s legendary history and an aching devotion to the early years of Avery’s life, Child Self richly entwines sounds with spiritual expression. With subtle reference points and underlying samples seamlessly flowing between disco and rap, house and Motown, Child Self is a composition of gradual histories tactically woven back together into proof of concept for an ambitious and varied career to come.

Canadian DJ and producer Marie Davidson releases her latest single “Contrarian,” made in collaboration with Pierre Guerineau and Soulwax via their DEEWEE label. An all-out onslaught of raw circuitry and electronics, “Contrarian” might just be one of Davidson’s finest club cuts to date.

The latest from prolific producer and trumpeter Michael Leonhart (Steely Dan, Mark Ronson, El Michels Affair, Elvis Costello). The Leonhart Brass Band features members of Antibalas, the Dap-Kings & Red Baraat. The Leonhart Brass Band was conceived during the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine when trumpeter/composer/producer Michael Leonhart was unable to perform with his 18-piece orchestra at NYC's famous Jazz Standard. Leonhart began composing music for a small brass band that would be capable of playing outdoors without amplification. Building on the foundation of the classic brass bands (Dirty Dozen Brass and Rebirth Brass Band), Leonhart has infused elements of hip-hop and funk to create his own sound. The Leonhart Brass Band features members of Antibalas, the Dap-Kings & Red Baraat. "Jabbar" – Dedicated to and inspired by hooping legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar (aka Lew Alcindor), whose father was a transit police officer/jazz musician and whose mother worked as a department store price checker. In addition to Jabbar's storied career on the hardcourt, Jabbar grew up surrounded by jazz and has been a die-hard music fan his entire life, tragically losing his vast record collection in a 1983 fire that destroyed his LA home. Leonhart's tribute centers around an infectious bass riff in C minor, punctuated by brass stabs and solos by Leonhart on trumpet and Jason Marshall on the seldom-heard bass saxophone. "The Iceman" – The title is taken from basketball great George Gervin's famous nickname given to him during his years playing in both the ABA (American Basketball Association) and the NBA (National Basketball Association) for teams such as the Virginia Squires, San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls. Legend has it the name came from Gervin's cool temperament on the court and his rare ability to play incredibly hard without breaking a sweat. "The Iceman" sees the Leonhart Brass Band horn section dividing into two groups as they play counterpoint melodies against one another. Ayce creates a brand of house music that's soulful and funky, crafted to get you moving. Focusing on powerful, often choral-style vocals in both his original tracks and remixes, his music not only energises but also leaves you feeling uplifted.

careers. But it wasn't until Producer Norman Granz came up with the
idea of putting them together for specific albums that their true
chemistry was revealed. The Platinum Collection features two iconic

CYRIL is the Aussie-born artist, DJ, mulit-instrumentalist and producer behind two of the world’s hottest records at the moment, “Stumblin’ In” and his remix of Grammy-nominated artist Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence.”. He is signed to the Dutch record label Spinnin’ Records, known for its smash hits in the EDM genre.

His biggest moment thus far came in late 2023 with the release of “Stumblin’ In,” which initially exploded on TikTok before dominating the worlds of streaming and radio. It became the #1 most played song on air in countries like Germany, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, and more, as well as covering some of Spotify and Apple’s biggest playlists.

Shortly afterwards, a remix of Disturbed’s cover of the Simon & Garfunkel song “The Sound of Silence” was released and reached the Top 10 in several countries.

CYRIL’s debut album, From Down Under-To The World , features tracks such as “True” with Kita Alexander, alongside extended versions of “Stumblin’ In” and “The Sound of Silence.”

COWBOY FAMILY, led by Wada Yosuke, is a DJ collective active in Tokyo’s burgeoning underground scene. Launching an imprint in 2024, COWBOY FAMILY RECORDS, the label opened proceedings with Cowboy Family Business – a limited issue V/A pressing featuring Mr. Ho, Takashi Himeoka and Rio Kawamoto.

In quick succession, the label proudly introduces its second offering: Internet O.G.s, by Rio Kawamoto. Sporting nostalgic, computer-inspired track titles, the EP references the sounds that characterised Rio’s youth in the early 2000s; old-school electro, electroclash, and raw-textured house music.

The release also includes a remix from Seoul-based DJ and producer Mogwaa, furthering COWBOY FAMILY’s ties with the broader Asian electronic music scene

The Juan Maclean returns to DFA with ‘What Do You Feel Free About?,’ an electro-disco club cut paired with a remix by Man Power (ESP Institute, Correspondant).

The new single is sparse and anchored by a relentlessly catchy, bouncing bass line. Nancy Whang’s vocals carry a sense of urgency and directness as she advises to “keep your emotions secure / when you don’t, it gets personal.” Rave whistles, cowbell breakdowns and handclaps further ensure the track’s place as a key song for the summertime. The remix from Man Power remix reformats the track for the club with a dubbed out, layered vocal arrangement that adds a touch more drama to the track.

The single was produced by Juan Maclean in Brooklyn, New York in the spring of 2018. The song was co-written by live band member Monika Heidemann, who also contributed backup vocals.

Juan Maclean is a Brooklyn-based DJ and producer who has been a mainstay of the New York club scene, as well as maintaining a rigorous international touring schedule, since the release of his first records on DFA in 2002. He’s released an extensive catalogue of 12” singles and LPs for the label with vocalist Nancy Whang (most recently, 2014’s In A Dream LP, and last year’s 12” single ‘The Brighter The Light’). They are currently at work on their fourth album.
