Intimacy is manifested in every moment of Radiator, the debut album from Philadelphia's Sadurn. This feeling of closeness, of being able to lend your every sense to one's confessions of internal conflict, is due in large part to the circumstances under which this album was created. Much of the world fell apart in 2020, but Sadurn tucked themselves away in a Pocono's cabin, creating and recording what would become their first full-length. Within the confines of their close quarters, passing animals as the only auditory witness to a makeshift recording studio created by moving furniture, Sadurn created an album that will break your heart and then slowly piece it back together.Sadurn started as the solo project of Genevieve ??DeGroot. Picking up guitar in 2015, DeGroot started writing songs, eventually playing DIY shows throughout the city of Philadelphia. With time, the direction, sound, and members of Sadurn changed. The beginning of 2020 was meant to serve as their debut as a four member band (Jon Cox on guitar/tenor guitar, Tabita Ahnert on bass, and Amelia Swan on drums), but the world had other plans and the group adapted.Taking influence from artists like Gillian Welch, Alex G, and Jason Molina, Sadurn's emotive indie rock explores the struggles and eventual beauty of grappling with multiple emotional realities, particularly when it comes to relationships. Some of this material now finds its way into the ensemble, where it is met by the possibilities offered by instrumentation, collective playing, and the distinct voices of the musicians. At the same time, older pieces—originating in entirely different settings— re-emerge here in new forms, reshaped by the ensemble context.

Marcos Valle - Samba ’68
Obwohl der brasilianische Sänger, Songwriter, Pianist und Gitarrist Marcos Valle oft der zweiten Generation der Bossa Nova zugerechnet wird, hat er sich auch einen Namen als einer der besten modernen
Samba-Komponisten gemacht. Internationale Bekanntheit erlangte Valle 1968 durch sein einziges VerveAlbum “Samba ‘68”, auf dem er elf seiner groovenden Songs präsentierte, darunter natürlich auch sein wohl
bekanntestes Stück “Samba de Verão” aka “So Nice (Summer Samba)”. Das Album ist längst ein RareGroove-Klassiker und laut AllMusic “eines der besten brasilianischen Crossover-Alben der 1960er Jahre”.
Die luftigen Arrangements schrieb der ebenfalls aus Brasilien stammende legendäre Eumir Deodato.

Gregory Porters zweites Blue-Note-Werk erschien 2016 und wurde mit dem Grammy als bestes JazzGesangsalbum ausgezeichnet. Die eingängigen Songs mixen Jazz, Soul, Gospel und Funk und gehören noch
immer zu seinen beliebtesten, die Texte verbinden Persönliches mit Politischem und sind heute genauso
relevant wie vor zehn Jahren.
Zum Jubiläum erscheint ”Take Me To The Alley” jetzt als ”10th Anniversary Edition” in Form einer
limitierten farbigen Doppel-LP. Als Bonus-Track ist der 2026 veröffentlichte Rules-Remix von “Holding
On“ dabei, mit dem der britische Produzent zusammen mit Gregory Porter einen großen Streaming-Erfolg
feierte.

Aufgenommen 1971 in den Chappell Recording Studios in London, während seines Exils, erschien „Transa“,
das sechste Studioalbum von Caetano Veloso, im Januar 1972. Das sieben Stücke umfassende Werk wurde
vom britischen Künstler Ralph Mace produziert; die musikalische Leitung übernahm Jards Macalé, der auf
„It’s a Long Way“ zudem Gitarre spielt.
Die Band bestand aus Áureo de Souza (Schlagzeug), Moacyr Albuquerque (Bass), Tutty Moreno (Perkussion) und Jards Macalé (akustische und elektrische Gitarre). Außerdem wirkt die damals 22-jährige Angela
Ro Ro mit, die Caetano Velosos verführerischen Schlusstitel „Nostalgia (That’s What Rock’n’Roll Is All
About)“ mit ihrem charakteristischen Mundharmonikaspiel bereichert. Diese Zusammenarbeit gab der jungen Künstlerin entscheidenden Auftrieb für ihre weitere Karriere.
Musikalisch ist das Album von einer rockigen Grundhaltung geprägt, in der zugleich Velosos zentrale
Einflüsse anklingen: die MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) sowie die Klangwelt Bahias. Dennoch bleibt eine

Die Band - bestehend aus der Sängerin Wenche Losnegard, dem Bassisten und Hauptkomponisten Audun Ellingsen, Cellisten Gregor Riddell und Schlagzeuger Erik Nylander - knüpft an ihr gefeiertes Debüt an und vertieft die charakteristische Verbindung aus Kammermusik, Jazz und alternativer Pop-Sensibilität. Dritte Wahl ist eine deutschsprachige Punkrock-Band aus Rostock, die sich gegen Ende der 1980er-Jahre gründete. Die Band spielt Deutschpunk mit deutlichen Metal-Einflüssen und singt sehr direkte, politisch-kämpferische, linke Texte, für die es zu DDR-Zeiten die damals üblichen staatlichen Repressalien gab. 1996 veröffentlichte Dritte Wahl mit "Nimm drei" ihr drittes Album. Es wurde in Braunschweig im Whiteline Studio von Uwe Golz (auch Gitarrist bei Daily Terror) und Uwe Rust produziert. "Nimm drei" bedeutete für die Rostocker einen deutlichen Schritt Richtung mehr Professionalität. Das druckvolle Album hebt sich soundmäßig markant von den beiden früheren Werken "Fasching in Bonn" (1992) und "Auge um Auge" (1994) ab. Es wird durch sehr groovige und gitarrenbetonte Songs charakterisiert. Dazu gibt es einen steten Wechselgesang der beiden Frontmänner Marko "Busch"n" Busch (Gesang, Bass) und Gunnar Schroeder (Gesang, Gitarre). Komplettiert wird das Trio durch Krel (Drums), der die Songs mit seinen mitreißenden Beats stetig voran treibt. Auch heute stehen einige Tracks dieses Albums auf jeder Setliste der tourfreudigen Band.

Chinese American Bear return in 2026 with their third album, Dim Sum & Then Some, released in May via cult UK label Moshi Moshi.

“Dim Sum & Then Some was started the day after we finished our 2024 album Wah!!!. We were having a lot of fun and inspiration was still high,” the band explain. “The album explores themes around what we love—food, little joys, fun simple nonsense, China, love, anthems, and fairytales. It’s a collage of our life, distilled into positivity and lightheartedness.”

Often described as The Flaming Lips, Dusty Springfield, and The Beach Boys having a baby with a Care Bear, Chinese American Bear’s music is bursting with comedy, groove, quirk, and cuteness. Dim Sum & Then Some is melodically rich and joyfully maximalist, weaving together psychedelia, doses of funk, and lush instrumentation, with plenty of lyrics devoted to the simple pleasure of filling up your belly with good food.

Phantastic Ferniture are back with their jubilant garage pop, releasing not one but two singles - their very first recordings since their critically acclaimed 2018 debut album. Recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, produced by Phan Fern themselves, and mixed and mastered by previous collaborators Tim Carr and Andrew Edgson respectively, tracks “Change My Mind” and “Dare to Fall in Love” immediately evoke everything about this band we have come to know and love. Julia Jacklin’s ability to write a catchy yet effortlessly cool vocal hook is evident on first listen, but it’s the magic that Phan Fern creates together that really brings the songs home.

On his fourth solo album, and debut work for Nick Klein's Psychic Liberation imprint, Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø presents »Faint Light Blackens«, a negotiation between the atomized instrumentation of the solo trombone is pushed towards a full range wall of sound over the concise sprawl of seven distinct acts on two sides of a vinyl record.

The seven acts that make up the album were developed specifically for recording within Emanuel Vigeland’s »Tomba Emmanuelle«. The fresco within the mausoleum anchors themes of existential weight, ripe with weighted imagery of love, birth, and death. The solemn space is a cavernous acoustic terrain wherein reverberant reverie makes it almost impossible to speak aloud, let alone sing through horn and electronics. This chamber's expanse is baked into the compositional directions employed on »Faint Light Blackens«.

Experientially, the record was produced in a long form performance gesture, with no overdubs. While edited to fit the record format, no additional post production coloring took place. Here Nørstebø shines as an instrumentalist, wherein the symbiosis of the site specific architecture and his sound sources are synced. At once musing and brooding, the gamut of emotive sonic landscapes is at play for a fully dynamic listening experience. The territory in Nørstebø’s vocabulary through interplay with the mausoleum is not vaulted , unlike Vigeland’s urn’ed ashes. On »Faint Light Blackens«, the spirit takes bound beyond the cavern and reanimates the listeners stereo alters for a holistic listening experience of perfectly challenging electroacoustic endeavors.

Redux, an ambient-folk album from Portland, Oregon musician, poet, and multimedia artist Dao Strom, is a collection of nine resurrected pieces. Reimagining songs she initially composed as a member of the Austin, Texas alt-country and singer-songwriter scenes of the early 2000s, Strom reworks these lost songs into ambient-folk mini-epics—part grounded and earthly, part ethereal and otherworldly. Drawing on an intimate yet spacious palette of folk, ambient, and experimental textures, woven through with a poetics of vulnerability and quiet emotion, Redux explores song as gently reverberant fields of layered vocals over finger-picked guitars with touches of electronics and sampling. Strom’s musical journey initially began in a roots and acoustic vein, simultaneously with her career as a fiction writer. In the years since, she has moved from Austin, Texas to Juneau, Alaska to Portland, Oregon; her work too has expanded across genres into more experimental formats of poetry, music, and multidisciplinary art. In returning to these earlier songs, Strom reclaims and revives them, exploring her relationships to time, voice, and the continuances of emotion and memory. The word redux means “brought back; revived”; a sense of something restored—earlier renditions of some of the Redux songs were recorded with Austin-based collaborators and producers; some songs were written in that time period but never recorded. Produced, performed, and recorded by Strom alone in her home studio, Redux is a return and reemergence of the artist to her own most personal, intuitive structures and atmospheres of voice, sound, and song. Released on cassette by Antiquated Future Records, and reissued on vinyl in 2026 by Disasters By Choice.

Dao Strom is an artist who works with three “voices”—written, sung, visual—to explore hybridity and contemplate the intersection of personal and collective histories. Her music releases move between “song-poem” cycles and ambient-folk albums. She is the author/composer of several hybrid projects that blend poetry, music, and visual art into unique multimodal experiences, including Tender Revolutions/Yellow Songs, a song-cycle with set of four chapbooks, jointly released by Beacon Sound, Antiquated Future Records, and The 3rd Thing Press (2025), and Instrument/Traveler’s Ode, a poetry-art collection and song-cycle released by Fonograf Editions and Antiquated Future Records (2020). Born in Vietnam and based in Portland, Oregon, Strom began her musical journey in the early 2000s, when she first began infusing into the context of “Americana” folk/roots music her own diasporic Vietnamese experience and stories. Her music has since moved in more experimental directions, resisting easy categorization, yet still maintaining tendrils of folk ethos. She also writes songs about the ineffable nuances of emotion, memory, and connection, as captured on the album, Redux, which gathers songs from across her songwriting years into an ambient-folk setting, self-produced and recorded by Strom, released on cassette in 2022 by Antiquated Future Records, and reissued on vinyl in 2026 by Disasters By Choice. As a multidisciplinary artist, Strom has presented performance and installations at venues such as the Time Based Art Festival (Portland Institute for Contemporary Art) and Moving Poets Novilla in Berlin, Germany, and has received awards from the Creative Capital Foundation, Spark Artist Award, and others. Strom is also a founding member of She Who Has No Master(s), a collective of Vietnamese women writers and artists making polyvocal poetry-art works as a means of reaching across borders.

The highly anticipated collaborative album, GOLDFISH, sees two of contemporary hip-hop's most revered and distinct production minds, Hit-Boy and The Alchemist, finally join forces for a full-length statement. Far from a simple beat-swap, this project is a masterclass in sonic cohesion, blurring the lines between their signature sounds to forge a new, golden-hued identity. Marcos Valle is one of those artists you simply can’t overlook if you have even a passing interest in Brazilian music. Whether your taste leans toward bossa jazz, samba, psychedelic folk, or modern soul, Valle has surely recorded a great album for you.

By the late 1960s he had already released enough outstanding records to secure a place among the greatest Brazilian artists of all time, but fortunately his career didn’t stop there. He has continued recording fabulous albums over the following decades, right up to the present day.

This second album by Marcos Valle (1965) is one of the foundational works of bossa nova. In fact, the record includes one of the most widely heard and covered Brazilian songs in history: ‘Samba de Verão.’ In addition to his work as a composer—alongside his brother Paulo Sergio—Marcos Valle also begins to reveal himself here as a great singer, with a soft, almost fragile voice, while his acoustic guitar recreates the same intimacy of the nighttime atmosphere in which he composed most of the songs.

The arrangements were co-written with Eumir Deodato, with the participation of other renowned Brazilian musicians, and they surround Valle’s compositions with elegant string orchestrations, bossa rhythms, and jazzy touches of swing. Highlights include the sophisticated beauty of songs like ‘Preciso Aprender a Ser Só,’ the rhythmic 3/4 feel of tracks such as ‘Seu Encanto,’ and the powerful ‘Deus Brasileiro.’

In the early 1970s, Roy Ayers formed his own band: Roy Ayers Ubiquity. Its lineup included artists well known to funk and soul fans such as Bernard Purdie, James Mason, and Edwin Birdsong.



This 1973 album presents Roy Ayers in the midst of a creative evolution toward a sound increasingly influenced by soul and funk, moving beyond the early phase of his musical career, which was more rooted in orthodox jazz.

On “Red Black & Green”, he teams up with highly accomplished collaborators such as keyboardist Harry Whitaker, arranger and producer William S. Fischer, and Strata-East musicians Charles Tolliver and Sonny Fortune. Here, however, the latter two do not venture into the spiritual jazz sounds so characteristic of their own recordings; instead, together they embrace a sophisticated funk groove where Ayers showcases his extraordinary vibraphone talent.

The album includes outstanding versions of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ and ‘Day Dreaming,’ as well as original compositions such as ‘Cocoa Butter,’ ‘Rhythms of Your Mind,’ and the superb title track, ‘Red Black & Green.’

Pete Lambrou, the visionary composer and multi-instrumentalist behind VLMV (pronounced "Alma"), is one of the most singular voices emerging from the ambient, post-rock, and experimental scenes in the UK. With a career that spans atmospheric solo work, film and television scoring, and evocative live performance, Lambrou has carved out a distinctive sonic universe he describes as "ambient-ish post-something" (Pete Lambrou) a playful yet accurate summation of a sound that is at once genre-fluid and deeply immersive. The album takes its title from Sara Teasdale's 1918 poem and Ray Bradbury's later short story, both of which imagine a world continuing quietly after humanity's disappearance. This idea became the gravitational centre around which the record formed. Written during a period of deep engagement with climate fiction and ecological thought, `There Will Come Soft Rains` reflects on humanity's legacy, its technological ambition, and its uneasy relationship with the natural world. A century on from Teasdale's poem, the balance of power feels less certain, and Lambrou's music inhabits that tension with remarkable subtlety. "The initial ideas stem mostly from chaos, randomness or sound exploration and then get shaped as I go. Typically, and certainly for this album. It's evolved since album 1, which was more song / chord based. It's a fun process of finding the sound and then working out whether it's speaking to me - or merely just a cool noise. That's fun, but it sometimes can't evolve or progress, so then begins the long journey of shaping it into some sort of song format - which doesn't have to be a-typica,l but whatever feels right to me. The subject matter and overall theme is important too - it's got to all make sense within itself. There's no point having a slowly creeping theme and then rush the music." (Pete Lambrou) VLMV embody an emotional honesty that works with patience and nuance. Whether you're encountering his music for the first time or returning to its quiet depths, VLMV offers an aural space that resonates long after the final note fades. "Instrumentally it's far more synth based - as soon as I had the concept, I wanted to make sure technology clash and marry with traditional instruments (at different times) in a sort of slow-moving dance I suppose. One is nature, one is human development and technology. Sometimes working together and sometimes in opposition. On my previous albums I'd say that at least half of the tracks started life as songs, whereas with `There Will Come Soft Rains` I think the majority (if not all) started as experiments in sound." Warm, intimate piano figures and elegiac string arrangements are set against unstable modular synthesis, fractured rhythms, and evolving sound design. The organic and the artificial are locked in a slow, shifting dialogue, mirroring the album's central themes. At times the music feels tender and nostalgic, at others unpredictable and mournful, yet it never tips into despair. Instead, a quiet resilience runs throughout the record. "The album is slightly unusual in that it was mixed in Dolby Atmos before being mixed down to stereo. Most, if not all, do it the other way round. That's because I got to work with a superb mix engineer who just happens to live opposite. It was extremely random and lucky, moving to a tiny hamlet in the South of England and there being a Dolby Atmos studio opposite with a genius of an engineer. We had in mind that we would do it this way round and enjoy the mix process and give everything its own space - it still had issues when folding down to stereo, but overall a more pleasurable mix!" (Pete Lambrou) There Will Come Soft Rains has a geological sense of time: themes creep, expand, erode, and reform, resisting conventional structures in favour of something more patient and immersive. Each sound exists because it needs to; they move, recede, and emerge with a three-dimensional clarity that enhances the music's cinematic quality, giving each element room to breathe while maintaining an enveloping sense of cohesion. Lambrou's unique voice is Intimate and fragile, his vocals hover above the instrumentation, a guiding thread through the expansive soundscapes, drawing listeners closer into the emotional core of each piece. "Long time vocal collaborator Anja Madhvani did lots of harmonies on the album - I wanted to include her voice as much as possible on this album. In terms of string players - 3/4 have been long term collaborators with me. Marie Schreer actually recorded all strings on my first album ALMA, and Fraser & Clodagh have worked on every album (and occasional live shows) since Stranded Not Lost. In terms of art - Joel Cammarata designed the cover, and accompanying art - he designed Sing With Abandon and I absolutely adore his work, but also - he's so great at understanding and developing and capturing the concept." It's evolved since album 1, which was more song / chord based. It's a fun process of finding the sound and then working out whether it's speaking to me - or merely just a cool noise. That's fun, but it sometimes can't evolve or progress, so then begins the long journey of shaping it into some sort of song format - which doesn't have to be a-typica,l but whatever feels right to me. The subject matter and overall theme is important too - it's got to all make sense within itself. There's no point having a slowly creeping theme and then rush the music." Kevin gab sie an Tim Yohannan von Maximum Rocknroll weiter. Schließlich gelangte sie in die Hände von Felix Alanis von Smoke Seven und Greg Shaw von Bomp. Mitte 1982 waren M.I.A. dann auf drei Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen vertreten: "Tell Me Why" auf der Compilation American Youth Report von Bomp, "New Left" auf Maximum Rocknroll Presents: Not So Quiet On the Western Front von Alternative Tentacles und acht der neun Tracks landeten auf der berüchtigten Split-LP mit Last Rites auf Smoke Seven. Alle 9 Tracks des ersten Tapes sind hier versammelt, zum ersten Mal richtig abgemischt. Der Begin von M.I.A. As his personal mission escalates, he’s forced to navigate a world shaped by rogue AI, militarized tech, and a fragile grip on control, all while confronting the truth about his past. In recent years, Midge Ure has spent his time playing live and not has time to fully immerse himself in the studios creating music To that end A Man of Two Worlds is his first album of new material in 12 years. The first half, World One: Music, consists of eight instrumental pieces, while the second half, World Two: Songs, features eight vocal songs. This concept was partly inspired by the time Midge spent during lockdown listening to instrumental music whilst presenting THE SPACE on Scala Radio. Echoing the forward-looking vd musical vision always ahead of the curve, the new album does not fit into any specific category, forging a path of its own across the 10 tracks. Recorded at Candybomber Studio in Berlin, the album brings vd together with Maria Bertel, Lucio Capece, Derek Shirley and Max Loderbauer. This is shape-shifting, elastic music that exists left of any given timeline.

Be it his forward-reaching recent releases as Vladislav Delay on his own Rajaton imprint, his Ripatti alias, or playing metallic percussion with the Moritz Von Oswald Trio, Vladislav Delay always has A SOUND. And that sound is ever-evolving, as his new jazz album shows. What "jazz" is this? There are certainly liquid elements there in the mix, not unlike the ones heard on previous vd productions. Then again, this is acoustic quintet music by and large, but not any specific kind we have ever heard before. Isn't that the whole point of "jazz"? Whatever came before is a springboard, not a limitation.

We are honoured to welcome veteran artist Dennis Walks to the Poor Man’s Friend label. Having cut his teeth with Duke Reid in the mid to late 1960s, Dennis Walks has been recording consistently for over 60 years.

Best known for his massive hits “Drifter,” “Heart Don’t Leap,” and “Margaret,” alongside the great The Mudies, Dennis brings a smooth yet powerful voice rooted in R&B and doo-wop influences. Combined with his intricate and thoughtful songwriting, he remains one of our favourite artists from the rocksteady and early reggae era.

“What A Pressure” is a vibrant, horn-led early roots reggae cut that captures the raw spirit and sonic identity of Jamaica’s foundational studio era. Driven by an upbeat tempo and undeniable energy, the track is elevated by rich, full-bodied backing vocals that perfectly frame Dennis Walks’s unmistakable voice. His delivery carries a weight of experience, bringing to life a set of beautifully constructed conscious lyrics that speak with both urgency and soul.

At its core, the production is propelled by a deep, rolling bassline that locks tightly with a heavily saturated rhythm section, creating a warm, analog feel reminiscent of classic recordings from Kingston’s golden age. The horns cut through with authority, adding brightness and drive, while the overall arrangement maintains a tight, authentic groove.

The origins of Body System date back around 35 years. Dissatisfied with previous experiences, the project was conceived as a meeting point between Sheffield and Detroit techno and German and Belgian body music. At the time, it never fully developed and remained largely an idea, with only a few sketches recorded on DAT. More than three decades later, that original concept has been revived. Following an invitation to contribute the track In Your Mind to the soundtrack of Electronic Body Movie, directed by Pietro Anton, the project was reopened and reworked, taking shape in the present while remaining rooted in its initial vision. These five tracks reflect an awareness of both past and contemporary electronic music, filtered through an undiminished experimental approach and a conscious refusal to adhere to stylistic conventions or predefined genres. The Spoiled is an Italian post-punk project led by Giovanni Santolla, blending electronic beats, distorted synths, and reverb-soaked guitars into a dark, romantic, and nostalgic sound.

In 2024, the project self-released the debut EP Time distributed by Manic Depression, followed in 2025 by the full-length Living Ghosts via Swiss Dark Nights—an album that firmly established The Spoiled within the contemporary post-punk scene. Following the album’s release, Giovanni collaborated with international acts including This Eternal Decay, Darkways, Corlyx, Chaos International, and Hinfort, while maintaining a dense touring schedule across Europe and sharing the stage with artists such as Traitrs, Hinfort, Darkways, and Ductape.

The new album When It Rains, set for release on Avant! Records on April 17, 2026, expands The Spoiled’s artistic vision with a focus on intense, romantic soundscapes that delve deeply into human intimacy and interpersonal relationships. Embracing a warmer and more personal sonic direction, the record blends elements of indie rock and electrogaze music that enrich and revitalize the dark, melancholic palette that has defined the project’s earlier works.

Still playing homage to the forefathers of the genre such as Clan of Xymox, The Sound and Pink Turns Blue, When It Rains opens the path of The Spoiled to new soundscapes, exploring broader emotional territories while preserving the atmospheric depth and introspective tone that have become its signature.

Belgian electronic body-music pioneers A Split-Second deliver an expanded reissue of their influential 1987 debut Ballistic Statues, a landmark of the New Beat and EBM movement. Blending dark electronics, cold-wave tension and precision-driven sequencing, the album helped define a pivotal moment in the late-80s European underground.

This new edition brings together all tracks from the original album and enhances them with essential recordings from the same era, including the band’s complete 1986 debut EP (A Split-Second), the cult Smell of Buddha, and additional period material.

Originally released in 1985, Main Attraction by Toronto-based duo Yoh-Yo is one of those high-energy sleepers that quietly tore through clubs while never fully crossing into the mainstream canon. SACRIVERSUM were formed in 1992 in Łódź (Poland), playing old school Death Metal with progressive elements and atmospheric sounds, making their complex mixture special and unique. After the success of her fiery 2024 LP, Baptized By The Blaze, Nashville outlaw siren India Ramey is back with Villain Era, set for release on May 8, 2026, via Copoco Records/Blue Èlan. This 7-inch singles features a previously unreleased cover of Bob Marley's iconic "Sun Is Shining," performed by the prolific Jamaican singer Ronnie Davis of The Itals and The Tennors. The multi-track tape was famously mixed by Prince Jammy into the popular "Jammys A Shine" dub, without any vocals. More recently, Prince Fatty mixed his version "Dub Is Shining" for the acclaimed Prince Fatty Meets The Gorgon album (VP4246) in 2023. The vocal was never mixed or issued, for reasons unknown, but with Prince Fatty's usual magic touch, it finally finds its way to the public after nearly five decades. Ronnie Davis, 1950-2017, was one of Jamaica's beloved voices during his long career. He was better known as a member of the rocksteady group The Tennors, and later with The Itals, but during the 1970s he was on of Bunny Striker Lee's top vocalists.

On the two-year anniversary of The Past Is Still Alive – named one of the Best Albums of the 2020s So Far by Pitchfork, and one of the Best Albums of 2024 by the New York Times, The Atlantic, Associated Press, NPR Music, Rolling Stone, Billboard, OUT, Mojo, Uncut and a multitude of others – Hurray for the Riff Raff releases a new live record, Live Forever. The album was captured over the course of two sold-out summer nights at the Old Town School of Folk Music in bandleader Alynda Segarra’s new home of Chicago, Illinois. Spanning 14 songs, Live Forever presents The Past Is Still Alive in its entirety, as well as a selection of Hurray for the Riff Raff’s show-stopping, set-defining staples: decrying ICE on the poetic ‘Precious Cargo’ and The Navigator’s anthemic ‘Pa’lante’; the prescient digital age critique of ‘Pyramid Scheme’; and ripping through a folk-rock rendition of LIFE ON EARTH’s ‘Rhododendron’.

“I moved to Chicago in September 2024, the year I released The Past Is Still Alive and hit the road with a new band – a group of musicians recommended by my front of house/production manager, Johnny Wilson. Everyone had ties to the city, and had been playing together in the DIY scene for over a decade.

Since then we’ve traveled the world together, becoming family, playing the best shows of my life. Chicago has become home for me, and I feel grateful for the welcome I’ve gotten into the best music scene in the country.

I wanted to capture this time and this brilliant band, a moment that won’t last forever. This record is a love letter to the working class musicians out there, we who slug it out on the road against all odds. We deserve so much more from an industry built to exploit us. Mutant, in collaboration with Hollywood Records and 20th century Studios, is proud to present the premiere physical media release of Benjamin Wallfisch's score to the first of two 2025 Predator films, the animated anthology PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS Benjamin Wallfisch had quite the task in scoring KILLER OF KILLERS.

Not only did he need to tackle one of the most iconic sci-fi titles in pop culture history, but he had to do so across multiple time periods, locations and genres. A Scandinavian arctic right of passage, a Japanese Feudal revenge plot, and a World War Two underdog dogfight - all bookended by an epic battle on the Yautja home planet where the far-reaching nature of the Predator finally reveals itself after 30 years of filmmaking.

All the while, Wallfisch nimbly navigates the spirit of each period, their cultural instrumentation, and the kineticism of each chapter, and the emotional stakes of each battle. It's a minor miracle of a score that we are honoured to celebrate.

Featuring original artwork by Oliver Barrett, featuring liner notes by the films director Dan Trachtenberg, and pressed on 140gm Red vinyl, this release is essential for fans of the series.

Myth? Legend? No need to pump this up, the music is self evident. As is the crew of Marfox, NK, Nervoso, Fofuxo, Pausas and Jesse, who shaped the universe as we know it. The simplest of elements for maximum (minimal) impact, an imperative burst of energy that perfectly echoes the title of Marfox's first EP: I Know Who I Am.

These are statements of personality directly stamped on the dancefloor. "Hard Tecno" (without the H, yes) embodies the crystal clear intention of the set: to light a fire wherever the beats fall. To make people smile and move. And this was (and is) achieved without the need for obvious smiley culture signposts. The music just came through with fierce enthusiasm. All were youngsters (Nervoso being the elder) in 2007, and youth is definitely a factor in the fearless display of bare bones dance music production. Raw, is it?

A second volume of DJs di Guetto on Príncipe was always going to happen. The tough part was deciding how to organize the bangers on the tracklist without ending up with a quadruple vinyl set. Thus separate volumes 1&2. Volume 1 (2023) was culled from the actual DJs di Guetto compilation (self released in 2006), whereas Volume 2 comes straight from the crew's archives, nearly 100% unreleased tracks produced in 2007.

The crew disbanded as such a long time ago, but the legacy stands as sacred scriptures stand. FL Studio and standard laptop and tower desktop PCs combined as raw materials; a no-fuss approach added by these DJs and producers who sound unequivocally rootsy and primeval, drinking from the source. Also punishingly minimal, dry and alien. Happy-sad, sweet-sour, nice-angry, soft-aggressive. Words fail us. It's 2026, new humans seem to beon the rise but some old ways are still enthralling.

Sara Parkman's fourth album – the first since 2022's Eros Agape Philia – explores the mystical tradition and the work involved in living – and dealing with life.

The album marks several new steps in Sara Parkman's musical development – from the passionate and majestic flow of words to the introspective tone. A recurring theme is the idea of prayer and work, or ora et labora in Latin.

‘I want the idea of prayer and work to be a source of comfort, hope and encouragement in the challenging times we live in. We must continue to work and believe in the common good,’ says Sara Parkman.

Since her album debut in 2016, Sara Parkman has pushed the boundaries of what folk music can be. Her albums have been repeatedly praised for weaving together tradition and the future.
