EchoPlex Records returns with its second full vinyl release, bringing together label owners Inner Echo, French multi-instrumentalist Youthie and Los Angeles-based bass player Dubsworth.
“Ranger” is a steppers cut built around live bass from Dubsworth, rolling 4x4 drums and Youthie’s signature trumpet playing. Dubsworth is a seasoned bass player and a familiar name within the Bay Area dubstep scene, while Youthie brings her trumpet into the mix, adding live melodies to the production and giving the track another layer of instrumentation.
On the B side, “Ranger” gets the full live dub treatment, mixed straight from the analogue desk with delays, reverbs, filters and live effects. A raw dub cut in keeping with soundsystem culture, with the mix shaped in real time.

on the A side, after more than a decade spent behind the decks and rooted in Stuttgart’s club scene, D.N.V. emerge as a new production alias from the Basement Operations tribe, with two deep and atmospheric cuts produced during the long pause of the pandemic. Moving between progressive drive and darker, dub-infused territory, the two tracks capture their particular take on electronic club music.
A1 ‘48 Points’ sits comfortably in the space after the peak, pushing forward with energetic, progressive movement while deep arpeggiated melodies weave through the groove. LIP020: Ferdinger – Easy Warmth & Quiet Menace Life In Patterns marks its 20th release, and its last of 2026, with an EP from label head Ferdinger himself. "Easy Warmth & Quiet Menace" sees him move into darker, more textured territory without losing his signature relentless drive. From the sombre melodies of "Tears Will Dry" and the distorted, haunting synths of "Back At It" to the analogue modular textures of "Front Toward Enemy" and the gritty dub stabs of "Ruminations", the EP covers a lot of ground across its moods. Closing track "Fresh Impetus" ends things on a different note, with a driving old-school electro groove. "Easy Warmth & Quiet Menace" is out on 13 November 2026 on vinyl and digital.
On Beginningless, Anna Butterss, John Raymond, and Ben Lumsdaine combine acoustic instruments and effects to create a nocturnal, neon landscape both grounded and otherworldly. Recorded live over two days in a Los Angeles studio, the album expands the trumpet-bass-drums format through shared intuition, fluid textures, and patient, elastic interplay. The music is entirely improvised, with little overdubbing or post-production: what you hear is essentially the sound of three musicians discovering the music together in the room, using pedals and processing as extensions of their instruments.

Neues Livealbum der Indie-Ikone Ed Kuepper, aufgenommen 2023 in Melbourne während seiner erster Tour seit über einem Jahrzehnt, bei der er mit kompletter Band sein Solomaterial in den Mittelpunkt stellte. Ein mitreißender Auftritt mit Musik aus Eds 50-jähriger Karriere in erstklassiger Besetzung (u.a. mit Schlagzeuger Mark Dawson und Bassist Peter Oxley (Sonnyboys). In den 1970ern läutete Kuepper mit The Saints die Punk-Ära ein (noch vor The Clash, The Damned, Sex Pistols), gründetet später die Post-Punk-Formation Laughing Clowns und begann 1985 seine Solokarriere.

KR3.022 DEATH/REBIRTH ONE - marks the launch of a new KR3 series built around split EPs, featuring original productions alongside reinterpretations or collaborative works by the selected artists. The first ACT reunites JK FLESH & ORPHX, reviving a collaboration rooted in a long-standing artistic connection. Having shared stages on several occasions, the project draws particular inspiration from their six-handed live performance at Berlin Atonal in 2016. Justin K. Broadrick, under his JK Flesh moniker, and Rich Oddie / Christina Sealey of Orphx, each contribute one exclusive original track, alongside a remix of the other's composition, exploring a very dark form of electronics; a collision of slo-mo, raw industrial power and crushing techno, standing in deliberate opposition to the relentless pace and overstimulation of the modern era, both sonically and culturally. GWAR and the Last Drive-In-Stein is the creation of two shock/horror icons: the Scumdogs of the Universe celebrating their 40th year as a band and Joe Bob Briggs celebrating 40 years on TV as a film critic, commentator and entertainer. Side A is GWAR’s epic live performance from Joe Bob’s show The Last Drive In 2025 Halloween special. It features several of their own songs along with covers of some of the most beloved songs from the show. Side B is John Brennan and the Bigfeet (The Last Drive In’s house band) performing songs written for the final 2 seasons of the show. It also happens to be the first ever live recording from them.

Das ist etwa ein Jahrzehnt her. Die Songs wurden ursprünglich von den Kassetten, auf denen sie aufgenommen worden waren, bei Tiny Telephone von Alex Newport - der auch bei Fudge Tunnel spielte - auf 1/2-Zoll-Spulen übertragen. John war total begeistert, als ihm klar wurde, dass seine Bänder von dem Typen von Fudge Tunnel abgemischt wurden. Remastered von diesen Bändern, zusammen mit sieben wiederentdeckten Songs von den beiden erhaltenen Kassetten aus jener Zeit, gilt ,All Hail West Texas" als Höhepunkt der Heimstudio-Ära der Mountain Goats - einer Zeit, die man gerne als ,die Zeit, als John Darnielle seinen Vierspur-Recorder hatte" bezeichnet, obwohl John eigentlich gar keinen Vierspur-Recorder benutzt hat. Er benutzte das Kondensatormikrofon einer Panasonic-Boombox, und es gab keine Overdubs.
