Dead Heat ist eine Crossover-Hardcore-Band aus Oxnard, Kalifornien, die 2016 gegründet wurde und für ihre energiegeladenen Live-Auftritte und ihren aggressiven Sound bekannt ist, der Einflüsse aus verschiedenen Subgenres von Punk und Metal vereint.Die Musik von Dead Heat zeichnet sich durch schnelle, thrashige Riffs, treibende Rhythmen, harmonische Leads und intensive Vocals aus, die oft ins Geschriene oder Gebrüllte übergehen. Following the success of last year’s Dance State EP, Berlin-based artist Revivis returns to his Santo Tomas label with Energy Ghosts—a tightly focused four-tracker built for peak-time dancefloors.

Leaning into stripped-back, percussive grooves, the EP takes cues from early 2000s and 2010s tech house, filtered through Revivis’s crisp, contemporary production style.

The release features three original tracks alongside a remix from in-demand Berlin- based DJ and producer Running Hot.

Along with Pentagram, Saint Vitus, and Trouble, Candlemass has been recognized as one of the "big four of doom metal". In November 2004, the band announced their second reunion. They recorded a new album, simply titled Candlemass, and it was released in May 2005. The album earned them a Swedish Grammy that year.

"At Newport" (Chess LP-1449) is one of Muddy Waters’ most celebrated albums. The blues portion of the 1960 Newport Jazz Festival took place on Sunday afternoon, July 3, at the end of the long weekend of jazz performances (and teenage riots too). The program included standout shows by John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Rushing, Sammy Price, Otis Spann, and Butch Cage & Willie Thomas, as well as Muddy Waters and his band, who were billed as “Muddy Waters and His Orchestra”.

double album of tracks written by Andy Gill and Gang of Four, all newly
reinterpreted and recorded by artists whose own unique contributions to
music were enriched by listening to Gang of Four.
The album features songs from across Gang of Four’s 40-plus year career, each
individually chosen by the artists who covered them. Andy Gill originally conceived of the album to mark the 40th anniversary of the release of Entertainment! in 2019. His widow, Catherine Mayer, explains that this plan had already
changed by the time of Andy’s death in 2020, after some artists chose tracks
from different albums and periods.
“Andy was massively excited about this project,” Mayer says. “It wasn’t of
course conceived as a tribute album, but it’s comforting to me that he lived to
see artists he hugely admired enthusiastically agreeing to participate, signalling that the admiration was mutual.” The album artwork has been created by
English artist Damien Hirst, a long-time friend of Andy’s.

For the past few years, five young friends from Scranton, PA known as Tigers Jaw have been playing their brand of upbeat yet melancholy indie-rock, captivating nearly everyone in the room each time. "Send a Prayer My Way" enthält zwölf Song von radikaler Empathie, in denen zweite und auch dritte Chancen gewährt werden und es bei allem Ringen und Bedauern auch Humor und Widerstand gibt.
