Damit man u.a. diesen Song aber auch z.B. „Nur Ein Wort“ und „Gekommen Um Zu Bleiben“ in Ruhe
zu Hause auf dem Plattenteller genießen kann, wurde das Album noch einmal in einer neuen limitierten
Version in wunderbarem, kostbaren Crystal Clear aufgelegt.

Music is life. Berlin-based dj, producer and dance music historian sven von Thulen kicks off his new label All Through a Life with four tracks of emotive, dusty and dub-infused dance floor heat. With the release neatly landing in the sweet spot between house and techno, the label's mission is set out clearly from the jump: warm grooves, hazy atmospheres and a deep emotional pull define a sound built for long nights on the dance floor.

Sven Wegner and Reiner Von Vielen debut on Blur Records with a lush, analogue-driven EP here, which fuses live instrumentation, vintage textures and deep dancefloor spirit. The German producers' opener 'Got To Believe' glows with soulful vocals, dusty drum machines and warm synths, while 'Let's Do It' locks into a funk-fuelled, hypnotic groove. The title track then brings some heartfelt emotion with smooth, silky keys and rolling basslines. Next comes a DJ Popinjay remix, which is flipped into a bumping house workout. Closer 'Reboot Me' brings evocative atmospheres to what is an EP steeped in meaningful human feels.

R.i.O. welcomes a new member. Straight in full length. An album created by Dorsten,North-Rhine-Westfalia based producer Aroma Von Troisdorf - a man who refuses to be putin a box. Unlike others, who politely stay in one lane, he is a tuneful shape shifter. Alreadyhis 2021 debut on the Cologne based label Papercup Records smashed Krautrock, Synthpop,Electro, Ambient, and dub together. His 2023 and 2024 Papercup Ep's "Buttergolem"and "Rodeln am Rhein" added Italo-Disco, Synth-pop and a drop of experimental Electroto his versatility. Now eight new creations, brilliantly composed, yet - even in odd flashes -effortlessly catchy. They bring once more a stylistic melting pot, now enlarged with TheCure-ish dreamscapes, stretching over guitar riffs and bass grooves, like in the closingambient-folk star "Zeiten" or the dreamy opening track "Fog Frog Green". There is themotorik krautrock pulse of "Osmopower", that boogies heavy in drum machine hypnosisunder Aroma's entrancing new-wave vocals. Tunes like "Dreams Unfold" or "AmplifyShrooms" are likewise propulsive, each one psyching in its very own rhythmic sector. Morevoices are present too. In the two-minute manic preacher "Colas", were Togolese rapperand political activist Yao Bobby chants edgy. Or in "Closer", where singer Aprico sendsspoken-word trances echoing through the cosmic jacking. And there is "Lovers Lake", ahypnotic drift of witchy vocals, bluesy chords, and endless synthscapes, that makes youswim on your feed. Shift the shapes, "Blaumilch" opens the gates.

At the crossroads of tradition and experimentation, Damiano von Erckert's sonic identity is forged in the fertile space between house and techno - a spectrum he navigates with instinct and intention. On Magnolia, his debut for Polifonic Records, von Erckert distills his musical ethos into a concise, emotionally rich release that bridges soulful euphoria and rhythmic introspection.

After the inevitable success of L'Hiver des crêtes (aka season 1 of their major new project celebrating 40 years of approximate punk), Ludwig Von 88 are back for new adventures in a second season entitled Le Printemps du Pogo. This second vinyl album (of the four planned this year) is this time illustrated by LauL (iconic graphic designer of the 80s - Bérurier Noir, Ludwig Von 88, Mylène Farmer, Patrick Topaloff).

Fourteen tracks packed with love, joy, shitty jobs, noisy neighbours, flowery pogos, fried chicken, unsanitary dungeons and a negative carbon footprint.

There are some good traditional Keupon numbers, but also ska, reggae, yodelling (Yodel to Hell), a universal anthem of destructive punk (Youplapunk), swing, the follow-up to Fistfuck Playa Club (New Club) and Kaliman (Kaliman saves the world), and the long-awaited conclusion, 38 years later, to their interstellar hit J'ai tué mon père (J'ai sauvé mon père). Or the hit Let it burn, which we'll probably be able to sing along to during the long hot days to come.

Thirteen of these songs have already been released on the internet (at a rate of one a week, because the Ludwigs like periodicity, and that's why they keep coming back and coming back) but the fourteenth track, Casques Rouges, is completely new to the galaxy.

So here's something to liven up the weeks of holiday that are just around the corner. On the beach, in the mountains or in the forest, approximate punk remains salvific and Ludwig Von 88 are its most faithful servants.

Mit Sowas von Egal Vol. 3 setzt das Hamburger DJ-Kollektiv Damaged Goods seine gefeierte Compilation-Reihe auf Bureau B fort - und richtet den Fokus erneut auf die subversiven Untergrundszenen im deutschsprachigen Raum der frühen 1980er Jahre. Abseits der kommerziellen NDW entstand eine kreative Parallelwelt: Bands zwischen Post-Punk, New Wave, Synth-Pop und Avantgarde veröffentlichten ihre Musik in kleinsten Auflagen oder im DIY-Kontext - roh, kantig und radikal eigenständig. Die hier versammelten Tracks spiegeln eine Zeit zwischen Aufbruch und Unsicherheit wider, geprägt von "No Future"-Attitüde, politischem Druck und künstlerischer Freiheit. Herbert von Karajans Aufnahme von Wagners „Die Walküre“ glänzt mit einer herausragenden Besetzung,
darunter die phänomenale Sopranistin Gundula Janowitz (Sieglinde), Bassbariton Thomas Stewart (Wotan),
Jon Vickers (Siegmund) und Régine Crespin als Brünnhilde. Gefeiert u.a. auch für ihre lyrischen Akzente,
entfaltet sich Wagners Werk in dieser Aufnahme mit dramatischer Kraft. Karajan lässt sein Orchester, die
Berliner Philharmoniker, gekonnt in den Hintergrund treten, um den großen Sängerinnen und Sängern die
Bühne zu überlassen. Wie das Klassikmagazin Gramophone treffend formuliert, hält seine Aufnahme auch
ein halbes Jahrhundert nach ihrer Veröffentlichung „noch immer Überraschungen bereit“.

Statt ehrfürchtiger Nachahmung entstehen neue Lesarten - persönlich, mutig und stilistisch vielfältig.
