Here his rendition takes a very warped sublime aproach and with a little help from Glenn Crocker aka Glenn Underground this one will de"nitely set a mood. Now 'Something' rounds out the 12' with straight dance!oor mover! The light & uplifting key work & bouncin bassline shows Brett's ability to keep it deep and bumpin.

Neo funk rising star Buscrates aims high with Blasting Off, his first full-length album. The Pittsburgh-based keyboard cosmonaut has been grabbing ears since his days hooking up beats with the hip hop crew East Liberty Quarters, but after slinging spicy one-offs to a slew of hot labels like Omega Supreme, Voyage Funktastique and Razor N Tape (as well as contributing production to Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y's 2009 project), the time has come for a full-length featuring his growing modern funk repertoire.

"I'm a '90s hip hop dude, but I grew up on that '80s funk stuff," Buscrates acknowledges. DJ gigs provided a working knowledge of the jams that moved a contemporary crowd, and as his collection of keyboards and drum machines grew he began blending the best of both decades with his personal futuristic edge. "I was nice on the MPC but I wanted to have a little more dynamic range with what I was doing," he notes. The self-described "certified synth geek" was soon branching into sounds that recalled '80s legend Kashif crossed with the hip hop bounce of DJ Spinna, and the modern funk community took notice.

For his first full-length, Buscrates has crewed up with an ace team of collaborators, featuring vocalist Sally Green on the bouncy lead single "Lost And Found" and "Eight Nine." Kate Moe Dee takes over mic duties for the second single, "How Ya Gonna Do It," a slinky groove that slides in place alongside groups like the Sunburst Band and Rene & Angela as an exemplar of sophisticated R&B. Adding to those credentials are the sultry vocals of Anda on "Believe," but of course, it wouldn't be a Buscrates set without some stank, neck-snapping instrumentals. "Five Days" and "Sure Shot," both collabos with the drum technician DJ Epik, will rattle speakers and have already been lighting up message boards on recent Buscrates DJ sets. Round things out with some easy gliding, jazzy funk ("Turn It Out" with Brothermartino on flute and "Evergreen" featuring Tony Ozier) and you've got all the ingredients for a high-flying cosmic ride with Buscrates at the controls.

Earth Sounds Now is a collective made up of community activist and musician Stefan Christoff,
drummer, composer, scholar, and bandleader Asher Gamedze, music producer Nicolás Jaar, pianist
and composer Büsra Kayikçi, and novelist, poet, and sound performer Kaie Kellough.

Over 13 months, they met online to share sounds, readings, writings, and drawings, resulting in
Convergence—a project reflecting their collaborative process. Each member submitted different
works, including paintings, poetry, field recordings, and musical experiments, taking turns responding
to each other's contributions.

Member Stefan Christoff highlights the importance of listening in these sessions:
"Sometimes we would listen all together, so there was also silence on the online call as we all listened
on headphones to the sounds from our respective places. I am underlining listening here, which the
world needs much more of."

These submissions were organized into a sound library and finally mixed into record format by Jaar,
capturing the essence of their exchanges across global soundscapes.

Ståle Storlokken - Rhodes piano, Hammond organ, grand piano, Eminent 310, Mellotron, Continuum Nikolai Hængsle - Electric bass, electric and acoustic guitars Torstein Lofthus - Drums, percussion. After a solid run of five studio albums and 2019's two double live albums, Psychedelic Backfire I and II, Elephant9 had taken their groovy mix of high energy rock and power jazz as far as they could. In this respect Arrival Of The New Elders comes as a welcome and most timely addition to their recorded output. More varied, mature and reflective, don't let the self-ironic (?) title mislead you, they are as groovy as ever, but more structured and less jam oriented, with the longest track clocking in around the seven minute mark. Rather short, by their standards.Having built a solid live reputation even before their brilliant 2008 debut Dodovoodoo, the trio boasts what is probably the strongest rhythm section in Norway, complemented with keyboard magician extraordinaire, the one and only Ståle Storlokken. And boy, does he excel himself on this album, notably with more focus on the Rhodes than before. That said, this is nothing if not another strong group effort from what has been a very tight unit straight from the outset. Seven brand new compositions from Storlokken and one from Hængsle make way for what we consider to be their finest and most cohesive album to date. Arrival Of The New Elders was recorded by trusted stalwart Christian Engfelt, with early Dungen producer Mattias Glavå handling the mixing duties.Ståle started his musical journey in Veslefrekk with Jarle Vespestad and Arve Henriksen in the 90s, soon morphing into Supersilent with Helge Sten on board. He's also a member of Moster! and Humcrush, and have collaborated with a number of artists, most notably Motorpsycho. Nikolai is also a member of Bigbang, Needlepoint and Band Of Gold and have appeared on a couple of hundred records. The same goes for Torstein, an associate member of numerous bands ranging from pop and soul to free jazz. But Elephant9 has always been their special baby.

Zwar hat Richard Pinhas nichts von seiner charakteristischen Angriffslust eingebüßt, und auch die aus den ersten beiden Heldon-Alben bekannte sägende Gitarre ist neben den vertrauten Sphärenklängen seiner Synthesizer nach wie vor vorhanden. Doch dazu pulsiert durch dieses Doppelalbum eine düstere Energie, eine fröstelige Aura, die selbst den ruhigsten Stücken eine Art bebende Anspannung verleiht. "Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wollte ich aus Heldon eine düstere Band machen", gesteht Pinhas. "Wobei düster für mich nichts Negatives bedeutet." Following releases on labels like Inner Islands, Home Normal and Muzan Editions, Japanese composer and sound artist Kenji Kihara is back with a new album that expertly channels the tranquil surroundings of his coastal hometown, Hayama, which is nestled between sea and mountains. What comes out is an immersive ambient work that is indebted to nature, marbled with field recordings of rustling leaves, waves and birdsong, and serene compositions that exude warmth through meticulous tonal layers. His music reflects the patient rhythm of daily life and the quiet shift of seasons, and is a great invitation to calm the mind and reflect. This is ambient that is in direct dialogue with the natural world.

The KNOW was an early 80's electronic duo, comprised of brothers Garry and Neil Todd from Stoneydelph, Tamworth (near Birmingham), UK. After playing in a conventional rock group and having to deal with the issues of too many cooks spoiling the broth, they decided to stay a two piece while the affordability of synthesisers and drum machines came in handy to replace additional human band members – shall we say for the better in the end?!

Regarding the name, Neil says: “Garry and I came up with this name in relation to the saying, oh you know he’s in “The Know” you know.“ The KNOW released only two tracks “Times Change“ and “Knights of Pleasure“ on a 7“ single in 1982, which is ultra rare now (only being sold once on Discogs for almost €300). Neil used Korg Micro Preset M-500, Moog Liberation, Roland Jupiter-8 synthesisers, and a Roland CR-8000 drum machine to create these two minimal synth pop anthems.

The original masters have been lost over the years, but the recordings have been carefully digitized from vinyl and meticulously restored and remastered and sound better than ever before. Additionally, five cover versions have been added by no less than minimal electronic synth pop heroes BLIPBLOP, doing both tracks, the THE SILICON SCIENTIST adding his dreamy synth pop melancholia signature sound, FLASHBACKS (aka Echo West, Silent Signals) with his icy cold yet playful minimal electronics, and TWINS NATALIA featuring KRIISTAL ANN delivering a rather faithful to the original yet up-to-date version while adding lots of new bits like a choir, vocoder, and one of Dave Hewson's unique synth solos.

All of this is pure and classy 80s electronic synth pop bliss!

Unlike anything we have heard from her before, Okkyung Lee returns to Shelter Press with "Just Like Any Other Day: Background Music For Your Mundane Activities", a deeply intimate body of recordings at the juncture of ambient music, minimalism, and the baroque, that stands as radical intervention with what experimental music can be, and the place that organisations of sound occupy in our lives. For more than two decades, Okkyung Lee has stood at the forefront of the most radical trajectories of experimental music: a virtuosic cellist and improviser, renowned for her creative rigour and emotive depth. Particularly noteworthy for her range, dexterity, and adaptability, over the last five years Lee's output has revealed unexpected shifts and developments that move far afield from the realms of free improvisation for which she is most well known. 2020's "Yeo - Neun", a heart-wrenching, ambient chamber work - drawing inspiration from the Korean popular music of her youth - was issued by Shelter Press to great critical response, followed closely by "Teum (The Silvery Slit)" - one of a series engrossing electroacoustic works created at Groupe de Recherches Musicales in Paris - on Portraits GRM, and then "Na-Reul" in 2021, regarded by Lee as a closing statement of more than two decades living in New York, which set the precedent of her allowing her emotions to fully occupy the forefront of the music for the first time. Marking her return to Shelter press, "Just Like Any Other Day": Background Music For Your Mundane Activities", encounters Lee upturning the apple cart once again, weaving a profoundly intimate artistic statement on completely unexpected terms. Like its three aforementioned predecessors, "Just Like Any Other Day" belongs to broadening shift in Lee's approach to composing that roughly aligns with her return to her native South Korea, having lived in the United States since her late teens. Infused with a deep reengagement with her own culture and relationship to memory, it is equally a response to those critical challenges and questions provoked by significant life change. Worked on in isolation, and continuously returned to, over the course of four years, the album's nine pieces began with a simple recognition that experimental music is not always what we imagine it to be. It is a practice and a pursuit - a music for which, at its inception, the outcome is unknown - rather than an idiom defined by certain syntaxes, approaches, and qualities of structure and sound. From this departure point, Lee began to inquire after the utility of music itself: what is it for, what does it do, and what place does it (or can it) occupy in our lives? This solitary and durational journey, each composition gradually moving through different phases and evolutions over years, led Lee toward uncharted ground: a music that is not only playful, introspective, and seductive, but also intended to provoke a relationship to experimental music beyond its normative expectations. Rather active or deep listening, it pursues passive listening. Rather than a grand statement, it is discreet. Rather than virtuosity, it embraces the elegant and direct. Even more strikingly, for the first time, the music of "Just Like Any Other Day" encounters Lee leaving the cello entirely behind. Created at home on keyboard, computer, and an inexpensive cassette recorder, "Just Like Any Other Day" presents a remarkable form of ambient music - organisations of sound that become their own environment, to be occupied - intended, as the album's subheading infers, as Background Music For Your Mundane Activities. An expansion of the creative pathways opened by the Korean pop imbued compositions of Yeo - Neun, aspects of electronic process explored by "Teum (The Silvery Slit)", and the emotive foregrounding of "Na-Reul", each of the pieces presented across the two sides of "Just Like Any Other Day" implies something far greater than the limits of its own temporarily: a mood, provocations of memory and place, mirrors for the solitude within which it was made, and palpable emotion lingering just out of grasp. For Lee, each of the album's compositions could be continued or looped for an indeterminate duration: straddling a ground between the minimal and the baroque, enveloping the listener in endless cycles of appreciating, repetitive and rhythmical notes, flirting with the melodic and implying a disembodied imagism that borders on the profound. Remarkably beautiful and direct, Okkyung Lee's "Just Like Any Other Day: Background Music For Your Mundane Activities" - issued by Shelter Press on vinyl - represents a radical reconfiguration of experiential music, stripped to its bare essence in defiance of the widely presumed aesthetic signifiers. Hardcore Rap music is still here! Mike Redman is considered a cult legend known for his unorthodox music production in various genres. He's well known as an artist in the Jungle and Hardcore scene, as a renowned movie score composer and made a name for himself as organiser of the infamous 'Redrum Hip-Hop' events since the 90's which hosted international artists from Guru to Cannibal Ox, Public Enemy, Beatnuts and many more. He also set up Redrum Recordz, a pioneering independent record label focusing merely on anything musically unpolished. Even though Mike Redman (which is his name of birth by the way) was often linked to many Hip-Hop success stories and produced records for artists such as Public Enemy and Big Daddy Kane, Mike has just recently, after many years, decided to produce a solo record featuring the Rap artists he admires and form the foundation of his legacy. With great respect towards his mentors, in a non-profit manner, Mike now releases 'Redrum Relics' featuring Rap icons such as Kool Keith, Chuck D, Schoolly D, Sticky Fingaz, Young Zee, Chino XL, O.C. and many more. This album is truly exceptional and is not made with the intention to be commercially successful, but is a love-letter to a period in time where passion was the motivation. 'Redrum Relics' brings Rap music back to the golden era with a contemporary touch and keeps it unpolished and unyielding as ever. People that tend to say that Hip-Hop is dead might want to reconsider.

Hardcore Rap music is still here! Mike Redman is considered a cult legend known for his unorthodox music production in various genres. He's well known as an artist in the Jungle and Hardcore scene, as a renowned movie score composer and made a name for himself as organiser of the infamous 'Redrum Hip-Hop' events since the 90's which hosted international artists from Guru to Cannibal Ox, Public Enemy, Beatnuts and many more. He also set up Redrum Recordz, a pioneering independent record label focusing merely on anything musically unpolished. Even though Mike Redman (which is his name of birth by the way) was often linked to many Hip-Hop success stories and produced records for artists such as Public Enemy and Big Daddy Kane, Mike has just recently, after many years, decided to produce a solo record featuring the Rap artists he admires and form the foundation of his legacy. With great respect towards his mentors, in a non-profit manner, Mike now releases 'Redrum Relics' featuring Rap icons such as Kool Keith, Chuck D, Schoolly D, Sticky Fingaz, Young Zee, Chino XL, O.C. and many more. This album is truly exceptional and is not made with the intention to be commercially successful, but is a love-letter to a period in time where passion was the motivation. 'Redrum Relics' brings Rap music back to the golden era with a contemporary touch and keeps it unpolished and unyielding as ever. People that tend to say that Hip-Hop is dead might want to reconsider.

The Patchouli Brothers are best friends from small town Canada, who found themselves bonded by their affinity for the strange side of house, disco, soul & otherworldly sounds. They hold down a residency at Beam Me Up, a weekly disco night in Toronto & a monthly party in Montreal, and have had releases on some of their favourite labels like Defected, Soundway, GAMM, Star Creature, Pleasure of Love & Basic Fingers.

Before the world stopped spinning, they were touring Europe & beyond. They look forward to meeting freaks across the world and to dance together again soon.

Tracks such as ‘Plaza’, ‘Ribbon’ and ‘Joyride’ lend a nostalgic character to the album, presenting wistful and distant melodies that interplay with the off-hand live instrumentation, building a gentle and nuanced sonic palette.

‘Ruin’ balances delicate arpeggios with pulsing distortion and drum programming, evoking a brooding scene fitting of its title. Album closer ‘DRM Reprise’ also explores darker themes, led by a piercing vocal emulation that warps and evolves amongst sparse percussion. In contrast, ‘Still Life’, ‘Everything’, ‘Coastal’ and ‘Overground’ bring warmth and balance to the overall experience, offering moments of lightness and reflection as the clouds break, sunlight spilling across the open landscape.

Through his methods may seem a tad unsound this is serious stuff, albeit served up with a backing track of party vibes, orchestrated by DJ Cash Daddy (CASH SAVAGE).

PUBLIC HOUSE is a project formed in 2024 by Wolfgang Buckley (Stiff Richards) and James McClurg. What started as bedroom demos morphed into a punk powerhouse that has been gradually sneaking their way onto stages in and around Melbourne and into the ears of eager listeners. Releasing their first track, Rich Cunt Party (recorded at home), in early 2024, fans were left eagerly awaiting for a year until their next singles, Death Van, Twist The Knife and Garbage Bag Balaclava were unleashed in quick succession - with more on the way. Before heading back to the studio to work on their debut album later this year, PUBLIC HOUSE make their way to Europe for the first time for a small run of high-octane shows, which are sure to blow the froth off any beers within a two-mile radius of any sound system they are legally allowed to plug into. BEWARE.

Reedale Rise has already made his mark with releases on Frustrated Funk and Delsin, but this latest release shows there's a whole new side to his sound. If you think you know him, think again. He's come through with three tracks of pure futuristic depth, all infused with Detroit influence. Envision Blade Runner-inspired machinery, deep house grooves and endless soul--this EP is a must for any true enthusiast. Detroit's Big Strick lays down his iconic tough-soul-house swing on the remix, completing a record that channels the lost history of underwater alien civilisations.

Estonian meteoric label Sad Fun lets loose “Sauna Belt” 12—inch by Roma Vjazemski. Vjazemski brings along four tracks from his recent limited cassette “Handlebar” for Berceuse Heroique & adds an extraterritorial remix by Philipp Otterbach. Loose oddball electronica by the Tallinn based astronomy enthusiast.

On 2018’s “Folk”, New Orleans songwriter and singer Sabine McCalla presents her own interpretation of grass-roots southern music. Combining elements of jazz, country blues, calypso, New Orleans R&B and Haitian creole compas, Sabine spins stories of heartbreak and hope through intimate arrangements and honest inflections. Recorded by Sam Doores (the Deslondes) and Duff Thompson (Mashed Potato Records), “Folk” exposes Sabine’s love of laments and folk spirituals, her penchant for simple truths and her interest in divining fundamental wisdom about love and loss from a small tangle of words. Commanding in its simplicity, with most songs sung a capella or with minimal guitar or vocal accompaniment, the EP’s five songs tell the stories of lost souls and broken hearts, embedded with painful truths that come to us calmly, the ones that are physically and psychically impossible to ignore.

Scowl is a band that sounds exactly like their name implies. Venomous, fierce, antagonistic. A sneer not to be crossed. Over the last five years, the Santa Cruz, California, band has firmly planted their flag in the hardcore scene with their vicious sound and ripping live show, sharing stages around the world with Circle Jerks, Touché Amoré, and Limp Bizkit, and filling slots at prominent festivals like Coachella, Sick New World, and Reading and Leeds. But with their new album, Are We All Angels (Dead Oceans), Scowl is aiming to funnel all that aggression through a more expansive version of themselves.Much of Are We All Angels grapples with Scowl's newfound place in the hardcore scene, a community which has both embraced the band and made them something of a lightning rod over the past few years. Standout single "Not Hell, Not Heaven" outright rejects the narratives cast onto them by outsiders. "It's about feeling victimized and being a victim, but not wanting to identify with being a victim," explains vocalist Kat Moss. "It's trying to find grace in the fact that I have my power. I live in my reality. You have to deal with whatever you're dealing with, and it ain't working for me." The band breaks from a sense of disassociation to seek deeper connections on "Fantasy." "It's incredibly challenging to try to balance my love for the scene while also feeling, in some spaces, extremely alienated and hated," Moss says. "`Fantasy' is about feeling like I don't know how to connect with these people anymore, because I have shelled myself away so hard." The album ends in a philosophical place on the closing, titular track, "Are We All Angels," asking questions like, "Is this all there is?" and ultimately putting it on the listener to decide. "It's about the personal struggle between good and evil. It doesn't matter how `good' or `bad' you are, there are systems that will try to rewrite your narrative no matter what you actually do," explains Moss, noting that punctuation on "Are We All Angels" has been deliberately omitted in an attempt to leave the statement open-ended. Are We All Angels is the highly anticipated follow-up to Scowl's debut, 2021's How Flowers Grow, a 16-minute primal scream over punishing riffs. But amidst the pounding chaos, it was the record's sonic outlier, a cleaner interlude called "Seeds to Sow," that, true to its name, planted the seed for what was to come for the band. "It kind of laid out this destiny for us, and I feel like now we're fulfilling that," says drummer Cole Gilbert. The band continued to expand their sound on 2023's widely acclaimed Psychic Dance Routine EP, incorporating more pop hooks and favoring gentler singing over heavy screaming, paving the way for what would come next.Scowl's growth got a huge boost from producer Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Code Orange, Balance and Composure), who broadened the band's scope. "Will would say, `Everything you have here is correct, but it's in the wrong place,'" says Gilbert. Moss adds: "Will really helped restructure a lot of the material. Some songs he tore apart to make more space for the really good hooks and choruses." But even through this more eclectic approach, Scowl loses none of their edge, and still manages to convey the anger and frustration that lies underneath. They are deeply committed to carrying the ethos of punk and its sense of community. "Hardcore and punk have sculpted how we operate, what we want to do as a band, and how we participate," says guitarist Malachi Greene. "At our core, we are a punk and a hardcore band, regardless of how the song shifts and changes."

The reissue of SOCIAL LOVER's sophomore effort on TUGBOAT EDITIONS, after the previous sell outs of this & "FEEL MY LOVE". This edition gets a slight update with the dub/instrumental version as the B side. The A SIDE is a dubby bubbly cover of EVELYN "CHAMPAGNE" KING classic "LOVE COME DOWN".

Roughly a year after his Kodak Dreams LP Submorphics returns to The North Quarter with Newport Magnetic: a six track project that sees the Detroit native reinvent his trademark lo-f take on Drum & Bass. While looking to the future and growing artistically on this project, Submorphics continues to drawn inspiration from hazy rare grooves, resulting in a refreshing showcase of his creative vision.

An F-bomb saturated hip-hop call & response club cut...from Sun Ra?!

While the most renown track in this omniversal opus is the atomic expletive-filled repartee “Nuclear War,” there is so much more to this dark mysterious journey through the mind of Sun Ra. The sprawling, suite-like 20-minute title track sustains a lyrical edge in spite of an open framework and textures, which encourage sonorities to surface and emerge from the band as if there was no human intention behind them. In opposition to “Nuclear War,” Ra's organ playing here was built less on bombast and sonic terror than it is on whispers, stutters, shivers, and swells. Fireside Chat offers a wide stylistic array, as was the artist’s intent, reflecting his eclectic, seemingly irreconcilable approach to compositional extremes. With Sun Ra you get everything... except predictability. Pressed on lime green vinyl!

Magic Thread is Susumu Yokota’s deeply soothing and delicate debut release on the Skintone label. With a spartan palette of sounds and textures, Yokota taps into a fundamentally human need to fuse and connect disparate fibres, magically forming work which glistens and pulsates with life.

Magic Thread originally came out in 1998 as a limited-edition CD release of 500 copies. Initially intended for the Japanese market, it came without any artwork in a standard transparent CD case adorned only by a sticker containing essential album information and a quote:

‘Somewhere in the process of evolution, the spinning and weaving of thread became possible for humankind. How did this come to pass? It can only be that the thread is possessed of magical properties.’ – Yokota, 1998.

On his album Songs from Okinawa, Sven Kacirek explores the traces of a unique traditional music from the famed Pacific islands south of Japan. He recorded a wide range of local musicians - both amateurs and well-known figures - and carefully wove in his own instrumentation: marimba, xylophone, and piano. The result is an album of timeless beauty and quiet elegance. The southern Japanese archipelago of Okinawa has a complex and turbulent history, particularly shaped by the conflicts between Japan and the United States - an aspect thoughtfully outlined in the liner notes by Mina Mermoud. Over the centuries, this layered past has given rise to a rich and distinctive musical culture. During the U.S. military occupation of the islands, Okinawan musicians began blending traditional forms with Western styles. Today, Okinawan music is recognised in Japan as a genre of its own. "I"m fascinated by the sublime simplicity and precision of Okinawan music - from its orchestration to the phrasing of the singing voice," says Kacirek. True to this admiration, he keeps many of the original vocal and instrumental recordings intact, gently adding his marimba or percussion without ever pushing himself into the spotlight.

Destruction marks something of a new direction for Reuben Sawyer as he fuses clear, direct vocals with ambient textures. This latest album from the musician and visual artist meditates on destruction and rebirth while reflecting on the tension between enduring natural forces and fleeting human constructs. It opens with themes of nature's resilience and humanity's relentless desire for novelty, then gradually explores the collapse of civilisation and is inspired by Bill Fay's Who Is the Sender. It serves as a mystical, non-Christian take on transcendence across a trio of escapist ambient gems.

Der geschmackvolle Teil der Musik-Welt hätte diese Musikrichtung noch vor einigen Monaten nicht mit der Zange angefasst. Zu sanft, zu übertrieben, zu luxuriös, zu offen hedonistisch, zu ausladend. Zu unecht, zu gekünstelt, nicht authentisch, und dann noch diese unfassbaren Akkordwechsel...Aber ' Too Slow To Disco - vol. 1' hält sich nicht auf mit solchen alten Geschichten und Klischees. To celebrate our 50th release, we dug deep into Juan's back catalog and rediscovered four gems that had never been repressed since 1993. After a proper restoration, a new mastering and a precise cut, we are happy to re-introduce those incredible tracks on vinyl and digital. The Future Sound EP is a great example of Juan Atkins' curation for Metroplex Records. Different artists were invited to the studio to give their interpretations of what the label is about.

The third Edita vinyl contains 2 tracks previously released digitally, Rebolledo's version of Holiday Rap and Sascha Funke’s version of Pump up the Volume + 2 vinyl only tracks which are a real stone by Marcello Giordani aka Italodeviance who gets his hands on Aventure Prodigieuse, a rare Funk Synth Pop diamond and a fresh and engaging unreleased dub version from Perel of the Britney classic "Toxic".

Vilhelm Hasselgren is a Gothenburg-based producer and DJ with a focus on Jungle and productions that move between 160-170 bpm. Vilhelm focuses a lot on complex rhythms and ambient soundscapes and takes inspiration from both older and modern Jungle, as well as other electronic acts such as Basic Channel, Mala, Skee Mask and Arkajo. Vilhelm tries to create soundscapes that move between different musical starting points.
He has previously released on Rezonant Body, Canape Records, Bukva Sound and Of Paradise Records. Also has an upcoming EP releasing on Bukva as well as a V.A on Western Lore. In 2025, Vilhelm also has a residency at London-based Subtle Radio.

Vilhelms words:
Central Line EP is an EP that I'd myself consider to be my debut EP. The tracks were created within a two-and a half year span, with some tracks being re-worked and replaced. Later ending up with the final track-list, which I am very happy in how it ended up in the end. One of the tracks that were later added onto the EP being 1000 a co-production with my brother Einar (Local Arms), which we spontaneously recorded at our parents house over a weekend.

I mostly start from percussion, onto bass and later melody in my productions. The title track "Central Line" was started when I lived in Brighton for half a year, together with Theo Soderlund (Theomega). The Eski sample is a bit tricky one, but wanted to experiment with it, further I chopped an Amen and a Think break with an idea to create a pretty simple rhythm that could leave the riff to speak for itself. Even though the tracks were created within a pretty long span of time, I feel like they portray a sound that I want to further explore and produce at this point. Also Arcne adding a monster remix of Central Line that has been getting lot of love. Could not be happier to release it on Bukva Sound which prior releases I think really captivate a sound that has been really inspiring throughout the process.

“Get Me In the Zone EP” is Waajeed’s final release on his Detroit-based label DIRT TECH RECK for 2024. He shared some of his inspiration for this dynamic four-track offering.

"Get Me In the Zone" is a soulful, rhythmic track blending Waajeed's production with Miles Bonny's repetitious vocals and trumpet, using hypnotic rhythms to create an uplifting, jazzy banger.

"All the Way Thru" produced by Waajeed, intricately weaves samples into a seamless blend of funk, soul, and house, creating an irresistible anthem for dancers and DJs. "I sat on this track for some time, unsure if it would fit into this EP, but ultimately decided to include it because of its undeniable effect on the dance floor.”

Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun in our solar system. It remains one of the least explored planets. Waajeed says, “I’m always reaching toward unknown territories in my creative adventures, so I called this one 'Neptune’s Symphony' to celebrate those exploring new sonic landscapes."

“I picked up this term from Dam Funk during a long drive in his '84 Regal. He explained "Dry Hatin" is a way of indirectly showing negativity, resentment, or jealousy towards someone or something. I wanted to address my naivety about entering the dance music scene several years ago—I thought it would be different

WE THE NORTH is Swedish musician Johan Hansson who has been active in the dark electronic music since the early 2000’s with his project Cyanide, then Unitary, and also exploring dark metal with his project Mondocane. Johan defines his music created in WE THE NORTH as Nordic Noir “with an intentional and deliberate blending of the old with the new a melancholic hopefulness is created from the dark seasons of life in Scandinavia.”

“Love + Death” is WE THE NORTH’s fourth album and the first on NADANNA after contributing a remix of Tobias Bernstrup’s track “Private Eye” in 2021. The songs on “Love + Death” are birds of a feather, brimming over with melancholy and melody, yet driven by a hammering sixteenth note synth bass and sounds from the Roland TR-707 drum machine, and melancholic lyrics in English or Swedish.

GASTEROPODES KILLERS présente Poison Ideas son nouvel album aux sonorités punk-rock-ska. Nos Escargots Tueurs se sont formés il y a 33 ans en Seine St Denis, avant de ramper, lentement mais sûre-ment, jusqu’en Charente sans bave ni lé-zard !
Amateurs de punk-rock, de hardcore et de ska, ils revendiquent haut et fort leurs influences : Clash, Parabellum, Mano Negra, Bérurier Noir, Garçons Bouchers, Wampas, La Souris Déglinguée, Madness, Bad Manners, Specials, Total Chaos, Exploited, Agnostic Front et autres Poison Idea.
Ces Assassins à Coquille se composent de Nath (chant & basse), de Droopy (chant & guitare), de Drunk (choeurs & guitare) et de Boul (batterie & chant). Chacun puise dans l’actualité, son quotidien, ses expériences personnelles ou dans le cinéma pour produire chansons et musiques tranchantes. Et puis, si le dessinateur Chester assure la pochette, alors l’humour est aussi de mise.
Attention, nos Colimaçons Criminels n’en sont pas à leur première sortie discographique et connaissent le « Do It Yourself » sur le bout de la langue. Maîtres dans l’art de la reptation et en totale indépendance, les GASTEROPODES KILLERS ont enregistré et mixé ce neuvième album dans leur studio La Coquille 2.
