Polygonia and Simon Popp present ‚Apiformes‘, the second collaborative release from the two Munich-based artists.
As with 2023‘s ‘Candid’, ‘Apiformes’ was born from pure improvisation. Originating from the stems of four concerts, additional elements were built on from a foundation of live recordings — an intuitive endeavor by the musicians with such integrated effects to give one the impression of a sole sonic organism, and mystifying which sound is coming from which performer. Rapid creative decisions create an intriguing sense of aliveness, producing a uniquely vibrant buzz of jazz and electronic influences.

The duo set an otherworldly tone in their latest release, with leanings towards acoustic and percussion-heavy instrumentation, combined with playful synthetic musings which create a sense of opening up: an intriguing and earnest exploration of the ethereal, and what is available in nature as a window to the divine. Named for the scientific name for bees, the project’s mix of warm, dynamic improvisation and sequenced synth instrumentalisation mimic the similarly complex mathematical structures of a bee colony: a visual and sonic world made up of geometric shapes, mating dances and navigation patterns, sensations perhaps most energetically available through a sense of wonder rather than logical extrication.

****COVER WITH AUGMENTED REALITY**** Argentinian producer Translate synthesises states of consciousness and perceptions into his semantics of sound, creating a distinct language of mental techno through hypnotic repetition, precision and deeply immersive atmospheres. His presence in this realm extends through his label Relativity, whose latest EP brings together tracks by Mike Parker and Oscar Mulero, while his own productions have appeared on Svreca’s Semantica Records. For his DIG release, Translate shifts into a broader spectrum, revealing a side of his production that has remained unexplored until now. DIG Curated captures this moment of a new sonic expansion between his signature hypnotic journeys and a stripped-down techno sound. Expansive opens the record with Translate’s distinct mental techno, pushed into an added psychedelic dimension. With a vast and trippy sound, the track steadily fills the space, inviting the dancers to go inward and simultaneously reach out into a collective morphic field. With Discursive, the coordinates shift, introducing a very stripped-down techno side of Translate’s production and a palette rarely heard from him before. Reduced to its essential elements, the track cuts directly through the floor with a functional groove, whilst retaining the tension embedded in his sonic DNA. On the B side, Fuse accelerates with fast-moving pads, mechanical drums and swerving loops that gradually lock the body into trance. Quirky textures spiral throughout, with robotic glitches sounding like organic beings. Coefficients closes the record by pulling the listener into rich bass and expanding loops over a cold melody that guides the final journey into a cosmic unfold. Hypnotic sci-fi vocals emerge from an interplanetary future, traversing space in search of earthly traces. The record ends suspended somewhere between the transmission and unknown, like a sonic threshold. Active since 2007, Toronto's Raz Fresco has built one of the most respected catalogs in underground hip-hop as both a rapper and producer. From his acclaimed Magneto Was Right series to collaborations with legendary producers including DJ Muggs (Soul Assassins), Pete Rock, Cookin Soul, Nicholas Craven, Futurewave, and many others, Raz has consistently delivered uncompromising, self-contained bodies of work that have earned him a devoted global following.

Described by Raz himself as "the album that defines everything Raz Fresco has worked towards," WHY EQUALS SELF stands as his most personal and fully realized statement to date. Blending razor-sharp lyricism with rich, self-produced soundscapes, the album reflects nearly two decades of artistic growth while reaffirming his place as one of the underground's most prolific and enduring voices.

Rekombinant is the solo project of Rome based composer and sound artist Alfonso Montagnese. Blending electroacoustic composition, analogue electronics, magnetic tape and sound design, his work explores the physical qualities of sound, embracing imperfection, transformation and degradation as expressive compositional tools.

Borrowing its title from the physical principle of parity symmetry, the album is less interested in scientific theory than in the possibility that an identity may endure even after profound change. Sound is treated as matter, it is stretched, reflected, saturated, compressed and displaced, yet never entirely separated from its origin.

Magnetic tape is the medium through which this question unfolds. Magnetic tape does not preserve sound faithfully, it reshapes the sound. It compresses, saturates, colours and gradually erodes it, producing not a copy but another state of the same material. Every recording becomes both document and transformation.

Most of the instruments used throughout the album were selected from more recent generations of electronic equipment compared to previous works. Their character is not defined by nostalgia, but by their functional and sonic qualities: instruments chosen for how they behave under pressure.

The album consists of fourteen compositions, each one approaching sound as a material in continuous state of alteration and was conceived within what feels like a new Middle Ages, one that is still unfolding. An era marked by increasing fragmentation, uncertainty and the erosion of shared cultural references. The music does not illustrate this condition; it absorbs and inhabits it.

Throughout these fourteen pieces, sound continuously changes its appearance without abandoning its identity. What remains after every inversion, every saturation and every layer of magnetic degradation is not certainty, but persistence.
Parity Symmetry is Conserved is ultimately an exploration of that persistence: the fragile possibility that memory, identity and human experience may continue to exist, even after passing through irreversible transformation.

Marking Dwarde’s debut on Up Ya Archives, the first single ‘Show Me’ from his forthcoming EP ‘Energy Exchange’ carries the torch of ‘94-style hardcore while sitting comfortably alongside the new-gen jungle spirit both the label and DJ himself hav e become known for. Built on the energy and rhythmic vocabulary of the old school, but bringing the rawness and euphoria of that era onto modern dancefloors.

Speaking on the single, Dwarde said:

“I was in the middle of making lunch as the house tune with the piano sample came on the radio. It’s a big fave of mine and I was surprised that although it’s 32 years old it hadn’t ever been sampled in hardcore before, so I made the tune immediately after - it came together really quickly.”

Hailing from Darlington and now based in London, Dwarde is a key figure in the contemporary breakbeat and jungle revival as a producer and DJ. With releases on labels like Future Retro and Deep Jungle, and gigs at parties like Rupture, Dekmantel, Distant Planet and Outlook - he’s established himself as one of the scene’s most distinctive voices.

‘Energy Exchange’ brings both sides of that sound together across four tracks: two jungle cuts and two leaning into the brighter, happier end of hardcore, each with big vocals at its centre. Speaking on the EP, Dwarde said:

“I wanted to represent both jungle and the happier hardcore styles, so I’m glad that two of each will be released, all with big vocals at the centre! They’re actually the first set of tunes I’ve finished in a couple of years so I was buzzing to put them all out.

Kepler’s sound sits somewhere between deep house, garage swing and low-slung club pressure. Based in Leeds, he has developed a sound built around weighty basslines, rolling drums and an instinct for keeping ideas sounding fresh. Releases on Up The Stuss, Semi Delicious, Constant Sound and Rossi’s HOME//GRXWN. have helped establish and elevate that approach, with support from selectors including Ben UFO, Raresh, Chris Stassy, Four Tet and Interplanetary Criminal. Alongside his own productions, plus his labels Contact Music and Perspective, his Studio Orbit has grown into an online production community supporting thousands of artists, and he now returns to FUSE after his appearance alongside founder Enzo Siragusa in 2024 as part of the label’s X Series for his first solo release on the imprint.

His ‘Sunday Service’ EP brings four original cuts to digital and vinyl, moving between different shades of his UK-influenced, wide-spanning sound. ‘Inner Motion’ opens with a cosmic groove, sweeping melodies and tightly placed percussion, while ‘Jump Up Crew’, featuring MC Secret Agent, pushes into garage territory with an animated vocal presence and heavy low-end weight. On the B-side, ‘Unity’ settles into a deep, fluid rhythm that packs a punch before title track ‘Sunday Service’ journeys through hazy textures and shuffling drums for a late-night finish.

Berlin-based producer and live act Volkan Akin lands on Secret Society with a brace of finely tuned minimal house sounds for the small hours. 'Famosus' is stripped back but not lacking in clout: the drums and bass are tightly coiled while the hits pop out of the mix as a soft acid line wiggles endlessly in the middle of the mix. Franco Cinelli remixes with a bolder sense of swing and trippy vocals that are like voices in your head. '2SHY4' is the other original and is dry, dusty tech house with jazzy chords softening the edges and bringing some warmth, then Thomas Melchior remixes with his masterful touch and distils everything into deft, hypnotic grooves.

,Settle Down City" war 2006 das Debütalbum von Young Widows und markierte den Neubeginn der Musiker nach dem Ende der Hardcore-Band Breather Resist. Talking with the Taxman About Poetry is the third album by Billy Bragg, originally released in September 1986.

Production comes largely from Rock Floyd alongside Foisey, Paris Aden, Vile and Popstar Benny, while Lisha G, Vayda and Fly Anakin make guest appearances throughout the record.

There are three humans who make up Nu Vision, and they all have their own stories and discographies, records released on labels you might know, gigs played in Chicago or Berlin or someone’s loft, lives lived, friends made, sleep lost - fighting for theirart, standing by truths, defending voices, honoring progenitors, whilst pushing a new paradigm. Brisker, freakier tracks like “Shadow In The Dark,” “R U Serious?” and “Humanity” run towards a softer finish with “Somedays” and the seven-minute, eyeliner-smearing closing ballad, “Lullaby Garden.” These are proper songs made with vintage machines, with a sound that carries obvious influences. ’ The Seed’ pulses forward as the body of the beast is turned inside out, wearing a beating heart on its sleeve, honoring those who left us too soon - DAF’s Gabi Delgado, Nitzer Ebb’s Douglas McCarthy, Depeche Mode’s Andrew Fletcher, and Sandwell District’s Juan Mendez. It’s important to note the emotional core of ‘The Seed’ album is the song ‘Synchronicity’ that is filled with both love and regret, the story of losing a friend without properly making amends. It is unquestionably heartbreaking, but is also delivered with a pang of hope, the feeling that with so many sunrises caught, so many additions and subtractions in life, a perspective has been gained. For its second outing, Sonum invites Matteo Point, whose Acid People EP expands the label's catalogue with four cuts navigating the space between acid house, progressive textures and analogue-driven club music.

The title track, "Acid People," sets the tone with tightly wound 303 sequences, sparse drums and a hypnotic sense of momentum, landing somewhere between functional peak-time tool and late-night trip. "Fresh Morgen" follows with a rolling low end before gradually unfolding into darker, more melodic territory, recalling the subtle tension of late-'90s European underground records.

On the B-side, "Musika Progressiva" revisits progressive house without falling into nostalgia, reshaping familiar motifs through a contemporary lens while maintaining its analogue warmth. Closing cut "Vvvaneggg" shifts towards Detroit-inspired rhythms and understated machine funk, offering a stripped-back groove built for patient selectors.

Across four tracks, Matteo Point delivers a collection that feels both immediate and enduring—club-focused without sacrificing character. With Acid People EP, Sonum continues to carve out its own space, championing records that draw equally from the past and the future of underground dance music.

Emerging from Brooklyn's late-night music ecosystem, 'Hazy James' Armstrong and Tim Wagner met nearly 20 years ago through the city's DJ and club scene. Each with different but complementary musical backgrounds which included a mix of folk, guitar, DJing, synths, drum machines, country rock, disco, jazz, and rhythm-heavy club music (being just a few!), the duo began various musical endeavours together & "exploring the darkness while pursuing light" which eventually lead to the birth of Birds Of Pandaemonium.

It was only a matter of time that the stars aligned (via an introduction from Shane Watson of Causeway) to bring the Birds onto the musical radar at Sprechen which led to the release of 3 renowned E.Ps and ultimately, their debut album, Eudaemonia. Obscure covers including Idris Muhammed's Loft classic 'Could Heaven Ever Be Like This', the rave defining Born Slippy by Underworld and the post punk/new wave 'On Islands' by New Musik sit alongside original songs shaped by fresh reflections on life, grief, and love with elements of dream pop, shoe-gaze & gothic pop to give wistful and pulse-driven listening experience that is hazy, romantic, and deliberately genre-blurring.

Some records refuse to stay buried. For two to three years, Kasra V has been sitting on three remixes, each one pushed back, shelved or cancelled along the way, each one quietly refusing to disappear. They lived on USBs and in DJ sets, passed between friends and played in rooms where the reaction never lagged. The result is a three-track EP of previously unreleased remixes, arriving at the end of a year that has already been remarkable for the Iranian-born, London-based artist. Two of the three reworks lean into house, the third reaches towards techno and trance. Together they trace a wide arc of influences. The pulse of New York house sits alongside the melancholy synth romance of Depeche Mode, the drifting, immersive textures of Future Sound of London and the euphoric, rave-born propulsion of Orbital. It's club music with a long memory: patient, physical, and unafraid of a melody that lingers. Because these were never made to a trend, they have not aged. Burnski's Instinct label hits release number 40, having very much helped to define this latest era of minimal, tech and garage mutations. Mattik is in charge for this one and he has become a northern heavyweight in this world. 'Original Badboy (It's Ecstasy)' is a title alone that tells you what to expect - naughty, playfully sleazy garage sounds with old school motifs and a killer descending bassline. 'We Tell Dem' brings an acid squelch and screwy synths that are decidedly futuristic. Mattik & Tuff Trax's 'Get No Sleep' tightens the low end bump and drops in some neon chords and choppy garage-house drums, while Cronnik's 'Feelin' (Mattik's Got The Feelin' mix) blends bumpin' drum work with spraying synths and wobbly bass. Fantastic fun.

DJ DIE SOON is the apocalyptic alter-ego Daisuke Imamura, whose performances of masked malice have been a fixture in the Berlin underground for the past decade. His latest record My Brothel The Wind takes inspiration from Sun Ra at his most grotesque, conjuring a distorted phantasmagoria with an eclectic crew of compatriots like Rully Shabara, Sara Persico, and longtime collaborator Kiki Hitomi. Film director Hiroo Tanaka’s visual contributions in the album art, poster, and music video complete the album’s narrative, telling a story not of villainy but of phantom caprice in a dying world.
My Brothel The Wind shows DJ DIE SOON as an alchemist of distortion, transmuting the club-forward beats of his 2020 debut Kappa Slap and the seething horrorscapes of DIEMAJIN, his 2022 collaboration with Tokyo vocalist MA. Imamura’s obsession with noise stems from his upbringing in Tokyo, where he grew up hearing the deafening roar of trains every day. “The buildings were really tall, so the sounds reflected so much and it was so loud that you couldn’t even have a conversation on the phone. Hearing this noise every minute when living in this flat, it became a normal thing,” he says. While most would content themselves with avoiding loudness, DJ DIE SOON seeks to unpack its visceral potential.
DJ DIE SOON’s subterranean productions form a monstrous gestalt with the eclectic contributions of his network of co-conspirators. “Unfinished” and “Directions” are pulsating chimeras that highlight animalistic vocalizations from Hitomi and Shabara; Italian MC Franco Franco’s verses snake underneath the noisy onslaught. The tectonic textures of “Dandelion Crackers” are courtesy of multi-instrumentalist Laure Boer’s handmade stone synth. Sara Persico’s mangled vocables hang as fleshy reminders of human fragility on “SAQ4IME”; in the Hiroo Tanaka-directed music video, the track’s sonic uncanniness is made cinematic, with an ambient dread that references Hiroshi Teshigahara’s 1964 psychological thriller Woman in the Dunes.
While Sun Ra’s intergalactic Moog reached for the stars, DJ DIE SOON plunges into the depths of hell. “Everybody, Shake Your Body, We Chill At Party” feels like the sonic equivalent of a wax museum burning to the ground, rigid smiles melting into the fire. Rather than a vision of the future, My Brothel The Wind is a laugh-cry of despair in the face of a Hadean present. DJ DIE SOON confronts the world with a new hand-made mask, reborn in the ashes.
