On En Route, Oddisee captures the tension of motion—between where you’re from and where you’re headed, between ambition and grounding, between survival and purpose. Released at a moment when his voice was sharpening into something unmistakably his own, En Route feels like a checkpoint record: reflective, hungry, and deeply human.
Built on warm, head-nodding production and Oddisee’s signature blend of jazz-inflected beats and conversational clarity, the album balances internal dialogue with outward observation. He raps not as a distant narrator but as someone in the thick of it—touring, questioning, recalibrating—turning everyday moments into quiet revelations. Themes of independence, self-definition, and forward momentum run through the record without ever tipping into cliché; this is movement with intention, not escape.
What makes En Route endure is its honesty. There’s no forced grandeur here, just earned confidence and craft. Oddisee treats growth as a process rather than a destination, letting listeners ride alongside him as the miles stack up. The result is an album that feels lived-in and timeless—music for long drives, late nights, and anyone figuring out who they are while still on the way.

The question asked most frequently of us is: “When will you reissue Silkworm's Firewater?”
The answer is December 4th, 2026.
Firewater, the ambitious Matador Records debut for SKWM, released thirty years ago after the band condensed to a trio following the departure of Joel RL Phelps, is back in print on 2xLP with a bonus CD included courtesy Comedy Minus One containing nearly 20 minutes of additional material on top of the original hour's run. Some of which has never been heard previously. Like an alternate take of Don’t Make Plans This Friday with the original lyrics, for example.
Both records are housed in full-color Stoughton sleeves inside the record’s gorgeous jacket, highlighting the paintings of Hiroshi Kimura.
Mit Horses In The Sky veröffentlichte Thee Silver Mt. Zion.
Corpo Fechado is a 4-track EP from Vinicius Honorio that moves fluidly between reinterpretation and original production. Rooted in raw, hypnotic rhythm and a subtle spiritual tension, the record balances club functionality with deeper symbolic undertones.
On the A-side, Joao Grilo's "Maria Cade Meu Ponto" receives two distinct treatments: a driving rework built for the floor and a stripped-back dub version. Both preserve the original's vocal and melodic identity while pushing the energy into a more focused, percussive direction.
The B-side moves into more personal and expansive territory. "Ze Pilintra feat. Ogan Heitor" channels ritual energy and percussive intensity, built around invocation and ceremonial weight, while "La Luna" drifts into hypnotic, nocturnal space, where subtle samba influences introduce a warm, swinging undercurrent to its minimal framework. Together, Corpo Fechado exists in the tension between functional club tools and more evocative, symbolic expression, holding a strong internal coherence throughout.
QZB follow up their landmark debut LP with 'Dreams To Dust' and this sophomore effort finds the duo positively peaking. Where 'Future Forever' established the framework, Dreams To Dust pushes it to breaking point: Acidic and grandiose, the serum visions implode and give way to the kind of controlled execution only these low-end specialists can deliver. Behind that precision lies a deeply personal record, one presenting all synthesised input with complete clarity. Delving deep into the dynamics unfolding within a musical kinship spanning over a decade.
Musically, Dreams To Dust's sonic palette further strengthens QZB's case as some of the most versatile forces in the field. They wear their influences on their sleeves, channeling Grime, IDM, Acid House, Garage, and Hip Hop to push their sound into ever more focused forms, while sticking to their calling card: Concise, efficient and effective beat science. Guest vocals from old friends and new faces reflect the collaborative spirit proven by its results.
One year on from its launch, Regal's Backspin reaches its 11th release, marking a year of steady growth for the label and an equally prolific period in his own output. Following 'Forgotten Heroes' earlier in 2026, Regal returns with his second Backspin release this year. Across five originals and a remix by Berlin duo Disguised, he explores a more groove-driven side of his sound, bringing together unconventional synth design and entrancing melodies with the ferocious club energy that has become central to it.
The A-side opens with 'Red Dress', immediately establishing the EP's unique presence through a menacing synth that commands attention. An addictive horn-like motif repeats throughout, seemingly resonating through a vast, tunnel-like space, while a roaring low end and subtle tom groove keep the track moving. 'Leviathan' follows with crunchy, drum-like synth and a drifting tone that gradually build tension, giving the track an imposing aura fitting its title. A strong kick and restrained percussion leave room for its atmosphere to unfold. Closing the side, 'Midnight Rider' puts a highregister melody at the centre, its warped and uncanny quality giving the track an irresistible character. A rolling bassline drives things along while minimal percussion lets the melody lead, sending the A-side out on a final rush of energy. The B-side begins with 'Claut', where reverberating and dissonant synth lines introduce a more mysterious mood. A solid low end keeps the track grounded, while sparse percussion, echoing chord hits and carefully placed effects build an unpredictable groove. 'Just One Chance' centers on a repeating sine tone whose captivating pull carries the track, locking in alongside a strong kick, rumbling sub and rolling tom groove. An unexpected vocal introduces a message of love, lending an uplifting flavor before becoming another rhythmic and textural element. The EP closes with Disguised's interpretation of 'Red Dress'. The Berlin duo strip the original back into a more loop-driven form, reducing its melody to selected fragments that surface as scattered percussive details. A chugging synth takes centre stage, driven by a striking kick and deep sub, while spoken vocal fragments and stray effects keep the arrangement in constant motion and retain the original's intensity.
Designed with the colder months and club environments in mind, the EP balances atmospheric textures and unusual sound design with a more rolling energy. The drums keep everything rooted in club music, letting Regal explore more adventurous territory without losing sight of thedancefloor and marking another milestone for him and Backspin.

Following 2024’s Echoes of the Night EP, Michael Hodgson returns with Apply the Dub: four stunning new Adrian Sherwood remixes, this time of his long-running solo project, Misled Convoy.
The EP’s title is a nod to Sherwood’s renowned process in which tracks are not simply remixed, but dismantled, fed into his dub machinery and reimagined. The results are spacious and compelling, epic in scope, rich in detail and loaded with bass.
The prophetic voice of Kat Five (Feral Five) looms large on the opening track, as does Miho Wada’s flute on the last. David “Ital Horns” Fullwood returns to the project, providing trumpet to two of the tunes, while Doug Wimbish (Tack>>Head / Living Colour) adds bass, and Mark Bandola (The Lucy Show) guitar and keys, to a different pair of remixes.
The sessions began in 2025, with the original tracks drawn from the more experimental and industrial side of Misled Convoy, giving Sherwood plenty of room to work with sonically. In his Ramsgate studio, frequencies were pulled apart, bass lines elevated and melodies stretched while sounds disappeared into layers of delay, echo and dub processing before emerging dazed & confused and somewhere else entirely.
Since dub is the compositional glue that fuels Hodgson’s creative dynamic, this collaboration meant reverse engineering his process and stripping his compositions back to the bare bones: “Before we hit the studio, I had to remove a whole lot of my effects to make space for Adrian, which made the track sound empty and super weird, but this is how the magic happens. When you do a remix, you are inviting an artist you respect into your creative process and watch it get reimagined. This is a big part of dub and remix culture.”
Very much a meeting of two complementary approaches to sound, Apply the Dub has Hodgson’s dark and atmospheric electronica enhanced and deeply embellished by Sherwood’s long-established sonic manipulation and dub-mixing.
For Hodgson, the connection with Sherwood and On-U Sound has been life-long, from being a fan in his youth in Aotearoa New Zealand to supporting Patrick Docktor’s archiving of the label’s video and audio collection in London. In 2019 Sherwood invited Hodgson to collaborate with artist Peter Harris to create a visual backdrop to accompany his Time Boom X The Upsetter Dub Sessions tour. Hodgson went on to create videos for On-U’s 40th anniversary celebration at The Forum in London, helped with the immersive 3D Live Dub Experience at Earth Theatre and travelled to Japan for the Collapse of Everything tour where he worked on live video triggering for Sherwood’s shows.
Four years after its original release, Mochakk's breakout anthem 'Da Fonk' featuring Joni continues to define a generation of house music. Originally released via Nervous Records in 2022, the record has surpassed 60 million Spotify streams alone, becoming Mochakk's signature track and one of the most recognizable records in modern dance music.
Fronted by fellow Brazilian artist Joni's soulful vocals, "Da Fonk" bridges classic house and contemporary club energy. Its stripped-back bassline and timeless groove have made it a fixture on stages and dancefloors around the world, while also marking a turning point for Mochakk, who has since become one of electronic music's defining artists, widely praised for his vibrant live sets in which "Da Fonk" has remained a staple. To celebrate the track's continued success, Nervous Records releases the 'Da Fonk' Remix Pack today across all streaming platforms, alongside a limited edition three-vinyl release available during Mochakk's long-awaited New York City takeover from August 28, 29 and 30.
Spanning three parts, the remix pack brings together a wide range of artists, each offering a different take on one of house music's most enduring records of recent years.
The first vinyl features Mochakk’s Original Mix and OG Dub of “Da Fonk”, in addition to a new Bass Mix from Marco Carola, whose signature rolling grooves and understated approach bring fresh weight to the original without losing its unmistakable feel. The second vinyl moves across a broad spectrum of club sounds. Australian duo Confidence Man inject their playful, high-energy style into the track, while Berlin's DJ Gigola delivers a sleek, club-focused interpretation. Cinthie, known for her deep-rooted house sound and analogue production style, offers a warm and driving remix, with Brazil’s Bronka rounding out the record on a fresh, contemporary rework. The third vinyl shines a light on Brazil's electronic music scene with an all-Brazilian lineup. Solarce Brothers contribute a soulful reinterpretation that nods to the original's house roots, alongside remixes from DJ Fuzil, Classmatic, and Deekapz & kLap, each bringing their own perspective to one of Brazil's all-time most influential electronic releases on global stages.
On June 9, 2025, Rolling Stone Magazine - Australia captured the significance of PARKWAY DRIVE's landmark performance at the Sydney Opera House with the headline: "The AC/DC of Their Generation': Parkway Drive deliver career-defining performance at Sydney Opera House." The one-night-only event brought the Byron Bay metalcore legends into the Concert Hall for an unprecedented black-tie affair, pairing their explosive live show with the grandeur of a full symphonic orchestra. Bringing PARKWAY DRIVE's music to one of the world's most recognizable venues was an ambitious move for a band already celebrated for pushing the boundaries of live performance. Yet seeing the group's signature intensity framed by a symphony orchestra revealed a new emotional dimension to songs built for arenas and festivals. The result was both intimate and monumental-a rare collision of metal, orchestration, and occasion that transformed the Concert Hall into something entirely its own. The context of the performance only heightened its impact. Marketed as a historic black-tie celebration that would never be repeated, the event became one of the most coveted PARKWAY DRIVE shows in the band's history, selling out instantly and leaving countless fans outside the room. For those unable to witness it in person, Home - Live at the Sydney Opera House finally brings this extraordinary night to a wider audience, alongside a feature film and live album documenting this career-spanning performance. At its heart, Home is also a reflection on what "home" has meant to PARKWAY DRIVE over two decades. As their reach has expanded from Byron Bay to stages around the world, their connection to the landscapes, people, and community that shaped them has remained central. Now, that journey comes full circle at one of Australia's most iconic landmarks.

New York's contemporary deep house guardian Fred P has a smoky, spiritual sound that is always inescapably immersive and evocative. For this new EP on Base, he kicks off with something brighter and more extroverted: 'Pardon Me' has long been a staple of his sets and balances his signature musicality with a more playful sax lead and bold rhythm that will get floors bumping. 'Freedom Fam' has one of his classic spoken word monologues drifting next to starry cosmic keys like a voice from the heavens. 'In The Light (Still Wanting)' rewires soulful house in his own vision - deep, insular, brilliantly humid. 'Factory Sound (Edit 1)' is as peak as Fred gets - a driving, musical house rhythm that twists and turns freely as sustained chords layer in some of that trademark emotional pull. Superb.
Dutch producer Kid Sublime presents his first EP on Makin’ Moves, here he teams up with Philly singer/song writer Lady Alma exploring elements of soul, broken beat and house.
The EP kicks off with The Grind a super smooth soulful house track, that catches your attention straight away with its groovy baseline that remains throughout adding to that Alma’s meaningful lyrics demonstrating the power of the music as she uses it as to get herself through the day.
The positivity continues on ‘Can You Feel It’ another quality piece of soulful house as the action moves to the dance floor as the beat and grove winds you in as once again Alma’s lyrics drop perfectly on the track.
The B side shows Kid switch it up on the broken beat production wiith ‘Ready To Meet You’ a touching song about two individuals excited to meet each other for the first time, a sure shot hit for the ‘bruk’ beat and dance heads alike!
Duality Trax reaches its tenth release with a defining moment for the label, as label boss Holly Lester steps forward with her debut EP. A personal milestone as much as a catalogue marker, the record channels sounds that have shaped her sound to date - early tech house, the low-end swing of UK garage and breakbeat, the rolling pulse of mid- 2000s European dancefloors, and the emotional lift of ’90s progressive house - all refracted through a distinctly personal lens. Open Your Mind sets the tone with a sense of lift and release: a wide, expansive bassline carries skippy, garage-tinged percussion, while bright piano stabs cut through guided by playful, restless FX. Big Fill pivots into tougher territory, a driving cut built on a rolling sub that pulls you into the groove - equal parts pressure and introspection, with moments of dreamlike suspension between the weight.
On the flip, Tanit drifts into more atmospheric space —an ode to Ibiza that still carries a distinctly UK undercurrent. A squelching, elastic bassline and cheeky, garage-leaning wubs provide a foundational groove but everything around it drifts: gated synths shimmer, drums sparkle, half-heard vocals dissolve into the mix and the track unfolds with a blissed-out, cruising energy. It feels just as natural in a dark room as it does out on open water, coasting past Formentera. For the remix, Holly turns to one of her favourite producers of the moment, DJ Life, who draws Open Your Mind into deeper waters. The Berlin via Australia producer stretches the groove into something more hypnotic and submerged, a patient 5am burner that lingers in the air, equally at home in basements, afterhours, and those inbetween moments as night slips quietly into day
BEAT'EM ALL is french hip-hop/jazz instrumental trio SHIBUUYA!'s latest LP release. A blend of nu-jazz, fusion, hip-hop and future beats, all in original compisitions from the band's keyboardist and drummer, the album goes against the polished image we usually have of jazz music to deliver a raspy, energic and groovy sound that shakes the listener instead of nurturing him. With prestigious featurings such as CHiLi GiRL aka Shinobu Kawasihma, a Tokyo-raised Shamisen (a traditional japanese guitar) player, Melbourne rapper Nelson Dialect, french virtuoso saxophonist Hugo Afettouche, or the "french problem kid of jazz" trumpetist Daoud, SHIBUUYA! pushes forward its identity with references to japanese pop-culture through anime samples, powerful hip-hop beats, progressive broken-beat grooves and crazy deliveries on all three instruments (keys, drums and bass), all of it served by an original manga-inspired cover art by the band's keyboardist and leader. A reference to the japan-popular videogame genre (Shibuya being a neighborhood of tokyo centered around fashion and pop culture), BEAT'EM ALL tries to beat the odds on what we expect from a jazz album and to make it sound more like a garage-produced LP rather than a million-dollar studio album, to make as authentic and as generational as possible, a true product of today's young jazz scene.
Originally released in 1962 on the Riverside label, How My Heart Sings features the Bill Evans Trio of Evans (piano), Paul Motian (drums) and Chuck Israels (bass). A lively mix of jazz standards and originals, highlights include "I Should Care," "In Your Own Sweet Way," and "Summertime.”. This new edition is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics series and is presented on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio.
Finnish producer DJ Dats returns with the four-track EP “Phuture 3030” on his own label, Allowance Trax. The title track is built on solid 808 rhythms, a sliding 303 bassline and futuristic synth textures, while “Test Drive” is driven by a heavyweight Moog bassline and shuffling house drums.
Detroit’s Nels the Operator reworks “Phuture 3030” with his modular synth setup, giving the track a rawer, more live feel and a richly layered sound. London’s Moroka remixes “Test Drive” in his signature style, blending house grooves with jazz fusion influences.
ANDREW MACARI, JASON HODGES, GIL AGUILAR, and DANIEL ALLEN need no introduction, and this release is a must have for all house heads. Jackin', thick and soulful, these cuts are all made to keep the people moving and smiling. This release is why we love house music.

"My encounter with the Hoh Rain Forest, located inside Olympic National Park across the water from Seattle, felt like seeing a whole new world for the first time in my life. Long green fronds draped along the branches, like a scene in which fairies could be heard whispering to one another. But when you try to listen, no sound can be heard. Amidst the mysterious silence, in which no birds or insects make a sound, every living thing seemed to have stopped in its place, only to start dancing when some kind of spell is cast over them.
-Hiroshi Yoshimura
Originally issued on compact disc in 1996, Quiet Forest was Hiroshi Yoshimura’s last album-length work to be released before his passing in 2003. Largely inspired by his trip to the vast forests of the North American Pacific Northwest, the album is an aural reflection of the fantastical, surreal beauty he experienced as he walked through the otherworldly wilderness for the first time. The basic tracks were recorded in the fall of 1993. After numerous revisions to the song titles and a scrapped idea to overlay the tracks with nature field recordings, Hiroshi ultimately produced a latter-day masterwork that feels like the spiritual follow-up to Green, one of his defining works from a decade earlier."

Schnapp dir gleich zwei Exemplare.

Hushed first moments revel in a tapestry of organic sounds which pervade a verdurous soundscape. The ambience unfolds into jazzy, twinkling keys & slippery textures. After that protracted introduction, the open atmosphere contracts into a cozy house groove - harnessing rubberband soul & intimate vocals while feeling remarkably free of deep house genre tropes. On the flip, breezy Ready To Flow's compelling swing is persuasively full of movement; closer Karpaten Tanz takes a more psychedelic approach, interjecting one delicate layer after another, until the wisps of melody, vocals, and reverberation become reminiscent of a beat-driven return to the record's unassuming introduction
London producer and live musician Ben Hauke announces his new album ‘Future Bruk’ , set for release via Woop Records. The ten-track record sees Hauke push Broken Beat beyond its familiar territory, exploring darker, faster and more experimental directions while keeping its rhythmic DNA at the core.
The project began after Hauke found himself questioning where the genre could go next. Inspired by Mark Mac’s ‘Vintage Bruk’ , but deliberately moving away from its softer, jazzier tendencies, ‘Future Bruk’ takes in electro, two-step, raw club music and experimental electronic textures. “I knew there was something I rejected in Broken Beat. I didn’t like how soft and jazzy it was, so I thought, why not make what I wanted to hear?”
Across the album, Hauke moves between the raw drums and bass of ‘FYS’ , the eerie textures of ‘SPOOOOKY’ featuring Sheiva, and the dark, hopeful energy of ‘No Regulation’ featuring Nigerian artist Meso-IX. ‘No Bruk On Splice’ finds humour in the lack of a Bruk category on the sample platform, while ‘Tuned Into Happy’ reflects on growing up in London, where youthful romance and casual violence could exist side by side.
Produced largely between July and December 2025, the album was built with both the club and headphone listener in mind. Around 15 additional tracks were made during the process, with Hauke ultimately distilling the project down to ten tracks with a focus on groove, movement and varied moods. “I feel the style has more room to evolve. I wanted to explore that and think about what the future of electronic music looks like to me. ”

In their countless years of deep digging, Dark Entries has uncovered many curiosities, oddball Italo and synth-wave creatures too rare to live, too funky to die. Dark Entries’s conservationist efforts began with 2020’s Endangered Species Vol 1. Six years later, we are finally treated Endangered Species Vol 2, an even more ambitious effort which features eleven specimens previously deemed extinct, now safely preserved on vinyl. Things kick off with an extended mix of Palazzo di Danza’s “Play That Song For Me,” a lavishly produced German-Italo number propelled by a slinky bassline. Russian Olga Vosconyan’s “Cars” delivers what might be the moodiest song ever produced for a car commercial.
Fuzz Dance maestro Alexander Robotnick appears with a previously unreleased male vocal demo version of “I Wanna Believe,” a legendary track that would later appear under the name Gina & the Flexix. Canadian industrial royalty Dwayne R. Goettel (Psyche) and cEvin Key (Skinny Puppy) team up on the horror-sampling hit-heavy blaster “Bastards.” Belgian EBM progenitors à;GRUMH... report for duty with a slab of machine funk on “The Army.” UK DIY stalwarts Khmer Rouge bring Krautrock-inflected minimalism with “Take Me (Across the Floor Tonight) In Dub.” Endangered Species Vol 2 comes housed in a sleeve designed by Eloise Shir-Juen Leigh, and includes a 16 page booklet featuring liner notes, lyrics, and photographs of each featured project. Please assist Dark Entries in their efforts to preserve the rarest of beasts (and beats).

raum…musik welcomes Jaffa Surfa back for its 121st release with ‘Tribal Diesel EP’, a four-tracker moving through progressive techno, industrial-tinged minimal, house and broken beat. Rather than treating these as fixed genres, Surfa reshapes them into something uncanny and unmistakably tribal, while keeping the groove firmly at the centre.
That approach is clearest on the A-side. “Diggers Diesel” has a ritual pull and, as the EP’s title suggests, finds Jaffa Surfa at his most tribal. Processed drums and splintered voices gradually lock into a hook while murky synths shift beneath them. “Lidl Sin” takes a leaner, slightly industrial but definitely understated route. Its reduced arrangement leaves enough room for each detail to register, with drums, synth stabs and sequenced lines appearing to exist in a state of constant mutation. On the b-side, “NGLZ” is the EP’s most direct house cut, driven by heavy low end, syncopated rhythms and flashes of phased samples. Breakbeat accents and old-school vocal fragments nod towards US house, though the track’s restless movement keeps it from settling into anything conventional. “Upstarz Galeri” closes on a wider screen, carrying traces of krautrock and decades-old sci-fi and cyberpunk soundtracks without ever feeling nostalgic. Airy and expansive, it pairs breakbeats and growling basslines with densely layered samples, giving its machine funk an unexpectedly emotional charge.
'Tribal Diesel EP' never overstates the contrast between its parts. Jaffa Surfa holds everything together through texture, rhythm and an almost cybernetic atmosphere. It is clearly built for the club, but carries enough personality and ambiguity to reward closer listening.

Kid Drama presents 'Machines and Other Things', his first full-length album for Metalheadz and a project shaped by instinct from a producer three decades deep into his craft.
Initially conceived through the lens of the classic Headz sound, the album only found its true identity once Kid Drama stopped looking backwards and allowed his own Autonomic influences to take hold. Slowing the tempo and focusing on groove rather than function, he built a body of work unconcerned with club trends, instead prioritising atmosphere, texture and progression.
Written sequentially rather than assembled from a large pool of tracks, 'Machines and Other Things' captures a distinct moment in time. Across the album, layers of tape saturation, analogue processing, noise and environmental detail sit alongside melancholic melodies and intricate rhythms, creating a sound that feels tactile and deeply immersive.
Also featuring collaborations with Goldie, dBridge, Loxy and LaMeduza, 'Machines and Other Things' finds Kid Drama drawing on the past without being defined by it, delivering a body of work that feels unmistakably his own.
Precision and intent. HYS007 navigates minimalism through discipline, dissonance, and bold force. A harmonic journey with a singular aesthetic direction.
This will be Mike McDowell's last (and his most personal) album under his old 'nom de guerre' of Hellboii, so all may again expect a true classic of his very own idiosyncratic 'mechagodzilla' mix of acidic techno, electronic body music, dark ambient, industrial electro and iconic futuristic (or better say brutalistic) sci-fi-soundtrack music.
