Love On The Rocks returns to the floor, with their second EP in what will prove to be an exciting summer of releases. Following the success of the Massimiliano Pagliara produced debut, LOTR presents the world premiere of Ess O Ess - a new venture from London based producers Jamie Blanco and Chris Stoker. After a flying episode on the first LOTR release, 'Baboon' pushes us back to earth, to the filthy grounds of the muggy woodlands of the southern hemisphere. The jungle motif that leads the track from the beginning slowly fades into a mild breeze of a distinct guitar theme before shaman voices call the ghosts of his ancestors and completes the patina on this heavy Malaria infected summer jam. Portuguese musician and demanded producer Tiago uses the jungle setting to create a classic special agent disco movie scene in the exotic wild of the mid seventies, erotic adventures included. Finally, calming down from an after party in some sleazy hotel room, the Bad Passion team offer their own take - a Dub that detaches the bass guitar from the original offering the appropriate space to grow and delay. Now brush off your shoulders and start a fire - it's cool out there in the desert at night.

Benny Badge, long term friend and cohort of our Randall Marsh, twice removed Manc and modern funk extraordinaire dons his Freekwency cap and kicks things off with 'Streetboxx' - a loose and squelchy stroller / moocher dripping with Benny's flair for drum programming and goose-bump inducing melodies. Never untucked but rambunctiously grooving its way through Melbourne's sun-kissed, wide highways without a foamy dangler in sight.

Nu-disco heavy on the Hi-NRG, Italo disco, & Italo house influences. "The Fauxriental Jam" combines disco w/ new-wave attitude. "Disco Success" is co-written by Matt Katz-Bohen (Blondie), inspired by the San Fran-disco sound. Silk screen jacket.

Dinky delves further into her Chilean roots while softly embedding the rhythm of the night with next single 'Blind' from the album 'Dimension D'. Inspired by old Jazz of the 30s and 40s, Dinky weaves a beguiling story with the acoustic swing imbued with her own electronic touch. Stepping up for the first remix are part-time collaborators Hreno and The Mole who deliver the MHMD Remix stripping almost entirely the original's voice and melody, instead leading with a carnivalesque drum groove and frayed, oscillating synths. Scandinavian disco lord Prins Thomas keeps the melody in tact but encases it in a framework of spaceout spooky disco for his 'Diskomiks' and fantastic moody Dub.

Alejandra Del Pilar Iglesias Rivera was named Dinky by her sister at birth. Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, as a child she studied Ballet and the Suzuki method of piano before relocating to New York to become a contemporary dancer.

Her drive to make music brought her to Berlin a decade ago where she quickly became a dominant force in dance music, making her mark through releases on Carpark, Cocoon, Ostgut, and the critically acclaimed ´Anemik´ album in 2009 on Mathew Jonson´s Wagon Repair. Her fifth studio album, 'Dimension D' on Visionquest sees her evolve into singer-songwriter and performer and take on a new musical direction.

Chris Hreno and The Mole are both revered Canadian producers residing in Berlin who have joined forces in the past on remixes for various labels including Turbo Recordings, Haunt, and Souvenir. The Mole has had prolific solo output including his exceptional debut album on Wagon Repair 'As High As The Sky'. Hreno has made a recent comeback to production with EPs on Sound Architecture and Meander.

Prins Thomas is widely regarded as a pioneer of the space-disco sounds emanating from his native Norway. Joining forces with Hans-Peter Lindstrøm in 2003, the pair both have a background in bands - Prins being an accomplished bass player - and they run and release music on own labels Feedelity, Full Pupp and Internasjonal.

"Sources is a brand new series which will examine the output of a number of extremely influential independent U.S. labels throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

Bill Brewster, co-founder of the influential DJ History website and forum and author of the acclaimed "Last Night A D.J. Saved My Life" will be compiling and writing the sleeve notes for the series. The first six releases will concentrate on 6 New York independent labels which have each been massively influential in the evolvement of Dance Music over the last 30+ years: Easy Street, Fresh, Sleeping Bag, Sam, Streetwise and P&P.

Each 3 x CD package will be full of lovingly re-mastered original 12" mixes as selected by Bill. These will include many tracks which have never made it to CD before and you can be sure that a variety of 'secret weapons' will emerge from each of these packages! All notes and scans will be included in a 16 page colour booklet which fits beautifully within the 3CD superior digipack. The usual Harmless PR and Radio operation will support all Sources releases.

The fifth Sources package comes from one of the most collectible Black Music labels of all-time the highly enigmatic and mysterious P&P Records. P&P Records was the company founded by Harlem based Peter Brown an operator of the highest degree in terms of productivity and the sheer amount of releases which came out on a bewildering array of labels like P&P, PAP, Land Of Hits, Heavenly Star, Golden Flamingo, Sound Of New York, Tyson, Sound Of The Universe, Hit Makers Of America, Lonnie, Clarence Music, Queen Constance and La Shawn amongst the ones which are known. Most of these releases were personally distributed by Peter Brown throughout Harlem and New York but most through the independent and 'Mom & Pop' stores which meant their distribution was limited and mainly within the New York area. Most P&P original releases are now highly collectible with many selling for several hundred pounds a copy, IF you can find one!

P&P Records is such an enigma that untangling the releases, different labels and year of release is an ongoing task. Some P&P Records have only recently been discovered, some P&P releases have never been found and there will be several P&P releases that have yet to be unearthed. As of 2015, there is no accurate listing and releases like 'Sources: The P&P Records Anthologies' are probably more like works in progress.

We divided the P&P catalogue that know about into two different packages 'Sources: The P&P Records Soul & Disco Anthology' and 'Sources: The P&P Records Funk & Rap Anthology' since the label spanned all these areas.

The P&P Records Soul & Disco volume probably contains over £5000 worth of records at their current value, since P&P is pretty much the most collectible group of labels for Soul and Disco output, or, 'Ghetto Disco' for short. Plus the mostly crude recordings and mastering techniques are now in fashion as people search for more 'earthly' natural records rather than the highly polished records from the era.

Having said this, 'Sources: The P&P Records Soul & Disco Anthology' has been extensively re-mastered so that these records can be heard properly for perhaps the first time. The collectors of P&P were right. The scope and diversity of P&P Records is testament to the hustling skills of Peter Brown perhaps the ultimate Harlem hustler. Who'd have thought that a scuffling set of badly-distributed Ghetto records from the 70s and 80s, would become the most collectible labels in the world some 40 years later P&P we salute you!

The full vocal of 'Bash At Jack's' is imbedded in an eight minute pop song that sounds like West End or Prelude could today. "SUGAR" a sweet track, some ones called it deep house, some others found it filtered disco house, anyway it brings flavour on the dancefloor, Black or white you decide how much you want on your coffee, giving you a strong message of love, passion, and ecstasy, with the elegance and smooth that makes seducing yourself.

Four up-and-coming artists appear on SHAG Edits Volume 2 which is kick-started by Rebel's "You Somebodies", a bassy piece of looping filter house meant for peak time play. Newcomer Riri throws down jazzy horns, marching snares and acoustic rimshots in a slow moving "Get It On", while Chocky's "I Like" features cut vocals caught between interchanging melodies of pulsating rhythms. Jamie Trench, responsible for the labels first EP, delivers sexy vocals in "Locks, Frocks & 2 Floating Sparrows", a laid back disco joint with the same summery vibe as barmy Miami night.

This is a second selection of independent disco records featuring rare and classic tracks originally released in the USA between the halcyon years of 1977 and 1985.

This release features only the finest disco, modern soul and boogie and is compiled by Disco Patrick who last year put together the mighty 'Disco: An
Encyclopedic Guide To The Cover Art Of Disco Records' 400+ page deluxe book for Soul Jazz Records, as well as the first installment of 'Disco: A Fine Selection Of Independent Disco, Modern Soul And Boogie.'

Dark Entries is proud to release the sophomore EP from BEZIER entitled Telomeres. Bézier is the moniker of local SF musician ROBERT YANG, who also is part of the illustrious HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM crew. Telomeres is the follow up to Bézier's debut EP Ensconced, released in 2013. The title relates to themes of time, science, analytics and procedures. Bézier integrates the refrains of Spanish new wave and Italo disco with the attitude and aggression of underground styles like synth-punk and industrial. These six tracks were written, produced and mixed by Bézier at his home studio in San Francisco between 2014 and 2015, and feature the debut of his own vocals. All songs have been mixed by Mark Pistel (of Meat Beat Manifesto fame) at Room 5, San Francisco and EQed for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios. The vinyl comes housed in a jacket featuring an illustration by in-house designer Eloise Leigh riffing on early 80s computer graphics. The matted sleeve is meant to resemble the side panels of early computing instruments like Macintoshes or the Commodore 64. Each LP includes a postcard with a photograph of actual telomeres captured by a microscope camera by the Blackburn Lab at UCSF. Telomeres' are life's building blocks, changing the lengths of chromosomes to determine lifespan. This music is an investigation of a future in which time elongates as well as contracts.

FRESH MEAT'S LOVES OFFSHHOT SEE'S CHICAGO LEGEND LONO BRAZIL OF COTTAGE GROOVE FAME WITH A WICKED 3 TRACK EP.

Fresh from the success of the Guilty Pleasures EP by Satin Jackets & Ejeca, next up from the ever growing House of Disco Records is Finnebassen's - 'Baby' EP. Boasting make overs from Monitor 66, Ron Basejam and Debonair along with the original track itself, this is a vinyl with credentials that speak for themselves.

The EP opens with the original track 'Baby' from the Norwegian born producer Finnebassen. With previous releases titled 'Babies' 'Footsteps' and 'Bleedin out' I'm starting to wonder if there's some sort of subliminal message at work. However with the rate at which he's been outputting releases lately there are no signs that he has anything other than more music on the way. 'Baby' is not what we have become accustomed to expecting from Finnebassen, it strays away from his usual deep poignant echoing house tracks. Instead it's a rich funk filled gem of a track that he's shown he is capable of through his 'silly pilly edit' of It's gonna take a long time. With bluesy lead guitar riffs and his trademark bass line it's the perfect soundtrack for a blossoming summer season.

The first remix of the EP comes from Swedish trio Monitor 66 who produce under the ethos of creating ''music for sunsets.' The track certainly embodies that motif as gorgeous saxophone licks and chiming synths over a shifting bassline give it a deep tropical feel. Next up is the remix from James Baron, or as the anagram works and we know him as, Ron Basejam. His remix is more of a straight up boogie house track letting the echoing vocals do a lot of the work whilst being complimented by sprinkles of playful keys. The sliced vocals work a treat and he manages to maintain the tracks strong groove throughout. The final remix of the EP comes from London based artist Debonair who strips down the track into a deep atmospheric affair making it the perfect weapon of choice for an after hour set. Ominous kicks and the spades of tension and atmosphere will make sure that fists are pumping well into the early hours of the morning.

The whole EP is brimming with groove and if you find yourself missing Finnebassens deep echoing trademark sound from the original track then you can find essence of it in the remixes. This release speaks volumes for the trajectory of 'House of Disco Records' as a label that's constantly maturing and sidestepping pigeonholes.

The latest addition to the Muzic Box Classics series will feature a genuine Ron Hardy edit and another ole school track from the Music Box that was produced by a local producer known as Mr K Alexi. The Ron Hardy edit is very rare and has not been heard by many outside of the Music Box, Chicago. The B side is a track that includes a sample of Ron's first EP on Trax Records entitled "Sensation".

Tenderlonious' 22a label has put out the likes of Al Dobson Jr, Mo Kolours, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Jeen Bassa and Henry Wu. After a split EP with Al Dobson Jr, this is his first full EP for his label. Over four tracks, spanning house, hip-hop and jazz. Tender plays flute, piano, sax, percussion, hardware and synths, all recorded in one-take live sessions. Support comes from Gilles Peterson, Osunlade, Paul White and more.

Emotional Rescue returns to the post war music of West Germany and the work of Dominik Von Senger and his cohorts based around the Dunkelziffer project. This special "Sampler" EP of recordings was produced as their part in Cologne's Stollwerck art complex, that acted as a home and inspiration to their musical experiments. Based within the disused industrial warehouses spaces of Stollwerck, a mix of post-hippies, punks and anarchists created a community within that fed off each other's artistic endeavours. While given space rent free, a requirement for the musicians centered around Dunkelziffer, The Phantom Band and The Unknown Cases, was to provide a collection of music for release on a compilation album to highlight its work. Released in 1985, the "Off Record No.1 Stollwerck Sampler" LP contained a collage of post-punk, krautrock, dub and avant-garde music and here on this special 6 track 12", a condensed Stollwerck Sampler EP is presented some 30 years later. Starting with the almost undiscovered Memo Walk by The Unknown Cases (see EES016), here they eschew their afro-cosmic sound and turn in a deep jazz fusion funk jam that wouldn't look out of place during Miles' "On The Corner" period, except with a krautrock metronomic kick. One of the challenges of this Sampler was what to leave out. The tracks that make up the rest of the EPs first side highlight what the project was really about. The one-off Project X and Dominik Von Senger's wonderful solo piece, Track Of Sample, are the sounds of a collective in full hair down, experimental productions where all is thrown in to the melting pot and see where this goes. The second side is more of the same and could easily of appeared on the Dunkelziffer "Retrospective" (ERC007/8/9) reissues. However, this shouldn't be dismissed lightly. This is mesmeric music that captures a time and place perfectly. Whether Die Art or A.N really ever existed beyond this studio concept is irrelevant. The Stollwerck Sampler EP captures that moment, for this moment.

Crazy P return with the final remixes from the When We On album. These three remixes were the exclusive new mixes on the recent digital only remix album, but it's only fair that remixes of this quality come out on wax.
Burnski personally requested the parts to Beatbox to make a mix for his own sets, but once we heard it we knew it had to find a wider audience. Burnski really knows his way around real musical parts, and has kept the vibe of the original intact but has made it his own in his superb deep house style.

Bonar Bradberry is one half of PBR Streetgang and good mates with Crazy P, his mix was a staple in Ibiza last season at the PBR residency at Space, and from a few other lucky DJ's.
Finally Wolf & Lamb have always been supporters of Crazy P and repay the favour of remix with a beautiful chilled version of Wecanonlybewhoweare that features some slinky guitar licks from Slow hands.

'What You Did' is quite simply a whopper! Disco music as God intended it - Arms aloft, eyes shut, inhibitions nowhere to be seen, smiles bigger than life itself...
What we have here is not an edit as such but a reworking of Chaka Khan's 'What You Did', Subtly Housed up, re-arranged, chopped, fil-tered and re-mastered within an inch of its life - Chaka herself pretty much always sounds in-credible but here the vocal just seems to stand even taller than usual.
On the other side we have something in which some of our slightly older party folk may well recognise. Dionne's House classic from '88 gets the full edit treatment and the timing on this just seems so right. Originally released on the ace Big shot label out of Canada (and was just huge in the Hacienda), re-mastered, stretched out, re-arranged and making the most out of all those old school stabs, ploddy bass lines and timeless vocals.

Camp Supafrico return with the sixth edition of their highly acclaimed 'Sound of Funky Africa' series. Digging even deeper into the Afro-funk vaults, side A features the über-rare 1984 Shina Williams and His African Percussionists 'Agboju Logun'. Grooving along for a massive eleven and a half minutes, this super-heavy Nigerian disco cut splices raw sounding horns with choirs and chants. Seriously epic. Flip over for 'Don't Do It' from Bongi Makeba, a mesmerising afro-funk workout with her powerful voice weaving in and out of the grooving bass and spaced-out sax. Originally the B-side of a 1976 release on tiny but top-quality NYC label Beam Junction, this Tom Moulton mixed slice of high-octane percussion-soaked afro-disco hit big on Italy's Cosmic scene as well as the clubs of New York. Having been one of his biggest festival tunes in the summer of 2014, the Luxxury mix of Greg Wilson's Summer Came My Way - which originally surfaced on last year's Schooled In The Classics 12' - was put on the back burner throughout the winter in readiness for a full 2015 release. Juxtaposed by Walter Ego's equally sublime take on the track, the release marks the first of eight records to be issued over the summer months.
Sometimes composition is a long and arduous process, other times a song arrives fully formed. The latter was the case for Greg when he imagined Summer Came My Way as a vehicle for hitherto unknown vocal forces of nature, The Reynolds - twins Katherine and the song's lead singer Carmel - who, by beautiful serendipity happened to live within a mile of Greg's Merseyside home.
Bursting out of LA with a lavish twelve-part re-edit series last year, Luxxury's brand of hazy, slo-mo reworks - a West Coast Balaeric fusion - has catapulted him onto the world stage. Opening his mammoth eight-hour Berghain set in 2013 with Luxxury's Hotel California rework, Greg helped bring his Los Angeles vibes to wider attention, bolstered by his subsequent support of other reworks; Night Fever and Riders On The Storm.
A victim of his own success,Hotel Californiagained Luxxury a little too much notoriety and, after a Wall Street Journal interview began circulating, Warner came down on him like a ton of bricks on finding out he'd used The Eagles' multitracks. All was resolved however and he's currently recording his forthcoming album, with great things expected for 2015 and beyond. The Luxxury approach perfectly fitted Greg's vision of the song and the result is a glorious nine-minute epic, just in time for the summer.
With releases on the legendary Ninja Tune, San Francisco's murky Symbols and Kerri Chandler's jackin' MadTech, Walter Ego's appeal stretches across the board; from forward thinking house to rough and ready grime. Having got to know the Sheffield musician during recent years, Greg was impressed by what he heard, especially an as yet unreleased project he was working on in collaboration with London singer, Obenewa. Inviting him to remix the track, Walter returned an ethereal yet mechanical take on Summer Came My Way, his delicately decaying synths and cold hydraulic rhythm giving the track a brooding quality and placing The Reynolds in an entirely new context.SW001 contains Walter Ego's remix of Summer Came My Way by Greg Wilson featuring the Reynolds, as well as a radio and full length version of Luxxury's remix. It's available digitally or on vinyl - individually on 12' or as part of a box set (vinyl limited to 500 copies in total).

'International Smark' (translation: International Taste) opens with an 8bit Techno tinged waltz before quickly floating into dreamy synth chords and staccato guitar licks.
Featuring an infectious cross dialect narrative (Swedish/Finish) provided by international songstress Tigerlight, the track comes across like a meeting between Metro Area and Abba - two acts PAYFONE cite as big inspirations.
'People' on the flip explores an Electro-Disco aesthetic bouncing along into the night with a heavily pitch affected vocal and angular bassline that drives an incessant groove.

Three artists - four tracks that can be worked by the versatile DJ in the day as well as in the night shift. First up is Thomalla with two tracks. The Berlin native rubs your back with sun lotion with 'Funfair' before throwing you in the water with 'Colossus". Then, London residents Casino Times hit you over the head with reality, which means in this case a dry acid rocket. Plus a rattling house refix by Benjamin Fröhlich for Lobster Theremin and Riot Van man Panthera Krause and his hit from last year 'If'. Secret Life Music has teamed up with DJ/Producer Simon Mills for their next release on both vinyl and digital formats (SLM010). Best known for his work with wonky chill out act Bent, these days Simon produces solo material under the name Napoleon. Last year he fine-tuned the synth heavy Napoleon sound by setting himself the goal of self-releasing an E.P. every month.
Additionally he also crafted several well-received remixes including "I Have Nothing To Say" by Mads Bjorn and Rick Astley (that featured on the recent Café Mambo compilation album) and the excellent "Patience Gets Us Nowhere Fast" by Capital Cities.
If that isn't enough he's also been busy making records with International Feel artist Joel Hood the results of which will see an E.P. release this summer. All this combined with a return to DJ circuit means that this summer looks like being a busy one.

Russian-born dance avant-guardiste Philipp Gorbachev is in self-
exile - from Moscow to Berlin - due to his political views and his
purpose to join Cómeme in 2011. This collective of musicians and
artists, operating between Latin America and Europe, is known for a
killer instinct in producing forward thinking dance music beyond any
standards of contemporary music industry.

Focusing on serving dance music audiences all around the globe,
Philipp Gorbachev composes, produces and performs music in a
way that resembles the heritage axe of Russian avant-garde and
Moscow's Conceptualist movement rather than following any current
dance music tradition.

Based on a unique performing and recording technique - created
and tested together with his buddy Matias Aguayo in 'The District
Union' studio in Berlin - 'Silver Album' is a well-collected music
piece consisting of nine live performed arrangements, crafted with
insurgent Russian lyrics that are fable-like inventions, fairy tales that
deal with spiritual vibes, using the sound of the Russian language in
order to form a new alternative music.

Musicians like ex-Helmet-and-now-Battles drummer John Stanier, as
well as co-producers and mixing engineers like Butthole Surfer's
guitarist Paul Leary; Mexican Cómeme brother Daniel Maloso; or
Non Standard Productions head honcho and Ostgut Ton artist
Tobias Freund, have been welcomed by Philipp Gorbachev to take
part in the production of the record.

The first single of the Silver Album, called - Arrest Me' is a dedication
to the imprisoned people around the world, a journey starter towards
freedom of spirit, pioneering in never before expressed sounds,
timing and space control.

His remix flies first class from Oslo to the Tropics, adding a lilting rhythm and a heavy Roland snare to create a digital dub supreme. As the track blossoms, the tape delay is so warm you can almost smell what Ruffy's been smoking and it has much the same effect.

On the flip, "The Sun Also Rises" is a lush instrumental interlude from Cottee, channeling Byrdsian jangle, music box melody and swooning strings laced with the woozy psychedelia that producers Mason Neely & Carwyn Ellis (Colorama) have made their own.
Cottee's delicate guitar sits perfectly within the more esoteric instrumentation, packing a real emotional punch.

Miles Copeland of The Superimposers dons his Wonderful Sound moniker to close out the EP with a gorgeous coastal rework of "The Sun Also Rises" that's as fresh as sea air.
Miles adds a backbeat groove and his trademark sea organ to remould Nev's instrumental as a Balearic sea shanty that's as English as fish and chips.

Real name Kornél Kovács - returns to his and HNNY's Puss label with stupid fresh edits of three songs from the year he was born. As always with Puss, each record arrives with a real human kiss mark.

Two pieces of snarling filter house from NYC heavyweights Robbie Busch aka DJ McBoing Boing - record dealer to the stars, digger extraordinaire, & DJ of sweaty underground parties around the world, and Josh Dunn - one part of the sorely missed 100 limousines, and one third of the holy trinity that put on New York's legendary Foreal People party.

After already collaborating with them on their track This is It for a Correspondant records compliation on 2014, this time she takes a step froward and really brings out her post-cold-wave-some-wave attitude and delivers 2 psychedelic poppy tracks, highly influenced by german krautrock as well as british and french post-punk and israeli late 80s new-wave. On the B-side you can find a massive dancefloor remix from the Red Axes themselves as well as a secret psychedelic voodoo b-side.

Sammy Bananas (of Fool's Gold fame) is back with the second installment in his essential Bootlegs series, bringing another 4 of the man's sought after edits to vinyl. The Bananas signature quirky yet soulful style shines across this versatile and varied release. build up with sharp off hi-hats, a whipping beat and a bold old-school electro bassline that jacks the body
and makes you want to dance the boogie all night long.


B1. THE CLOU (ORIGINAL MIX)
Attention: this is not your average four to the floor filler! From the first go this gripping and unconventionally
structured track sends you over the edge with a hypnotic acid-bassline drilling itself deeper and deeper
into your brain. Its produced almost entirely with the Prophet synthesizer, proving how much interesting
work can be done by only using a limited set of resources. The female vocal on this track insinuate that
"Boy, you don't have a clou". But for ART IN MOTION the contrary can be said: heres a man with a master plan.

It was high time for our homegrown, wonderboy NHAN SOLO (2DIY4/ OFF) to do a remix for our label.
His remix convinces through a clever interaction of the vocals, bassline and lead melody - combining

As this is the second E.P. of 2 from Ajello we decided to take the remixes for this project to the next level. First up is Luminodisco of House Of Disco fame, undoubtedly one of Nu Disco's pioneers with a heritage to match who has reworked Montgomery Clift ready for the main room. The second mix is delivered by none other than YamWho best known for his Midnight Riot & ISM imprints who delivers a pure Disco groover. Finally for the vinyl release is Retrospective's own Rayko serving up his "best remix ever" in his own words! In addition, for the digital release Aashton of Aashton & Swift fame brings his signature house flavor to the fold alongside an instrumental of the original for the heads. Quite a package I'm sure you will agree!

The Faze Action brothers released their fifth studio album entitled "Body Of One" last year and to continue the celebration they have recruited some heavy weight talents to give their spin on three tracks from that album.
First, the brothers take on the remix duties of "Magic Touch", giving it a dub house reboot that could be the sound track to countless sunsets this summer. Next up is a deft dub mix of the same track by Maxidiscs cohort and globe trotting DJ, Dicky Trisco.
On the flip side we have the Balearic powerhouse that is Phil Mison, remixing "Echoes Of Your Mind" into an electronic, down tempo feast with additional Bass, Guitar and Keyboard played by the man himself.
The final mix on this 12" is provided by "Emotional Response" curator and head honcho Stuart Leath under his Chuggy guise, delivering an organic dub mix of Faze Action's "Floating World"

Purveyors of fine underground music, Joe's Bakery, present undiscovered balearic beats, cosmic curveballs and obscure oddities from around the world. Limited to 300 copies worldwide, the Joe's Bakery Band drop some sleezy disco vibes with Can't Explain and some low slung Kraut rock favorited by Andrew Weatherall on Mamba Gasgoine, while Emporer machine delivers two killer mutant dancefloor remixes.

Donna Summer and Kon are from the same Boston neighborhood... Dorchester. So it's only right Kon reworks one of her biggest floor fillers.
As usual Kon keeps things true to the original but with that futuristic twist, sounding big for the parties of today.
Kon sets it off with a big drum break intro that builds into a vocal drop, kicking back into the groove and again with a few more breakdowns.
The flip side dub is brought to us by Kon's right hand man "Caserta" who kicks it off with a big piano build and really stretches things out giving this song's bass line some serious shine, a stone groove no doubt.. both sides doing damage on the floor.

Emotional Rescue starts a series of reissues from the Carribean that will move minds and feet in equal measure. First up is the mento / ska star Laurel Aitken, here turning out 2 killer disco reggae jams with the crazily-sought after Sexy Boogie and a re-edit of Hoochie Coochie Man. Born in Cuba in 1927, growing up in Jamaica before moving to London in 1960, Laurel Aitken is rightly remembered for the breadth of his musical styles and career, from stand out calypso and mento to killer ska releases for the likes of Blue Beat and on to all forms of reggae. Tucked away in a cannon of literally hundreds of Aitken's recordings is this one off release, the 1978 disco inflicted Hoochie Choochie Man 12", with the killer Sexy
Boogie on the flip. Long a word of mouth for both reggae and the more leftfield disco diggers, prices have seen recent copies go for well over 3 figure sums. All fully licensed and remastered for reissue, here Sexy Boogie is moved to be the rightful main cut. Some 7 minutes of rolling, twisted disco reggae, with chop guitar, stabbed piano, an essential and relentless (wonky) groove, plus Laurel's trademark silk tones, here used as a mantra for the dancefloor. Now moved to the B side, Hoochie Choochie Man is handed over to Soft Rocks mainman Piers Harrison for his editing expertise. Scapel in hand, the (and oft annoying) vocals are cut to allow the flanged guitar, hammond keys and drum and bass rhythm to just swing and ride to distraction.

IIB reach their 40th release with label stalwart Max Essa's latest EP. Feel The Machine is a proto-house groove with touches of italo-disco. Chugging bassline and cowbells making it a real dancer. Panapolean Dreamer is a more downtempo beat driven affair with eastern strings on a mellow new beat vibe. The second side starts with Tall Shadows Walking Home. Again max explores the proto house sound all smothered in lovely electronic melodies. Twenty Types Of Dusk relaxes the tempo again. Trademark Max Essa Balearic. Having previously plied their wares on Is It Balearic and Los Grandes, Spanish nu-Balearic sorts Two Mamarrachos pop up on another suitably horizontal imprint, dependable Leeds label Joe's Bakery. There style is sun-kissed by druggy, with opener "Al Andalus" offering an exotic, chugging blend of foreboding, low-slung grooves and Arabic synthesizer melodies. "Super Disco Dancer" delves deep into the box marked "experimental analogue electronic disco", with heady, spaced-out synthesizers sprawling all over a typically atmospheric, cosmic groove. "Let Feel Higher" is, arguably, the most Balearic of the three, with warm acoustic guitars and delay-laden gospel vocal samples creating a suitably toasty, glassy-eyed mood.

One of the UK's most enigmatic bootleg labels returns for its fourth installment of dancefloor bombs and feel good hits. Following the trail blazed by early bootleg pioneers such as Ron Hardy and John Morales, BoogieFuturo presents two instant classics for the edits hall of fame.

'Give Me Some Emotion' features an expertly amped-up sample of a particularly well-known female vocalist (we don't want to give too much away now). Jamie Bull's edit respectfully takes the track into the 21st century, with solid, punchy drums and big room snare reverbs to support the original boogie funk synth lines and staccato guitars. Sing along vocals and catchy hooks make this a fine addition to any vinyl junkie's record bag.

'Lovin' Spree' continues the Boogifuturo tradition of tasteful edits. Neil Diablo loops an infectious guitar hook with the addition of low growling synths and Rhodes keys, to build the track into a crescendo timeless disco strings, chant-along vocals and killer Sax solos. An underground classic on the disco scene but never reaching the heights of commercial success, Diablo presents an edit to give this forgotten record new life.

Another rare Italo Disco treasure discovered by Flashback records ! .The track is an old composition of Renato Spinetti and the original version has been released only on a mix of Video Star compilation. limited 300 copies press. 200 copies on black vinyl and 100 on white vinyl .
"Sisma - Give Me A Dance" (FLA 1001) is an old composition by Renato Spinetti and was originally recorded in 1983 for Video Star. The original version has been released only on a sought-after "Touch of Class" compilation (by Tanga Music). The track has been now re-arranged and re-recorded by Steve (Juno Gang) and Feratho by keeping the sound early 80s styled. The vinyl will include a vocal version and an instrumental dub + a bonus instrumental track on the B-side.
