Playable peak time or at the end of the night its as deep as disco gets!

On B1 a majestic and imperial take on a classic ONE MORE TIME the HMDers push the way too short original track and lengthen it into a luscious, euphoric anthem. HMD take all responsibility for end of the night spontaneous dancefloor hug-ins.

On B2 the boys have taken the squelchy synths of a real underground track and turned up the intensity that they felt seem to disapated in the original. Keeping the vocals pretty much as they are including all the whoops and yelps that make the track so exciting HMD have stayed true to the original but have just given it the Horse Meat touch. A bit of added percusion and a whole lotta love.

Following two well-received 12' singles in 2011, Bristol's Bedmo Disco Records - 'The Sound of Bedminster' - returns in 2012 with something rather special: the debut reedits EP from longtime family member JIMMY THE TWIN.

Now firmly established within the international disco network thanks to contributions from the likes of Pete Herbert, Sare Havlicek, Mustang and Downtown Party Network, Budapest based label Spacewalker Recordings slip out their latest dose of discoid brilliance with Julian Sanza at the helm. Collaring the Argentine is quite the coup given his sizeable discography for the likes of Rebirth, Solardisco and Lost My Dog among others, as well as his involvement on keys for the excellent 2020 Soundsystem. Proceedings commence with the classic disco strings of "Dangerous Groove" treated with contemporary studio dust and slick echo laden filtration and aligned to a flirtatiously low slung bump, and the track gets hollowed out for an excellent fizzing dub disco remix by the Brazilian half of The Rimshooters aka Rotciv. "Royal Pains" has Sanza on more playful form, triggering vocal loops over a dusty beat whilst teasing out a sublime disco infused house groove in a manner akin to Jiscomusic era Mark E. Completing the cosmopolitan line-up is London based DJ and producer Kid Who of Mindless Boogie fame who turns in a fine remix that strips down "Royal Pains" into a refined laser disco jam.

Famed for their self-released KM Editions series, Keyboard Masher join Daphni and Tom Croose in the Resista family with the roaring 'Afro Editions', two faultless edits that distill the spirit of mother Africa.

Opener 'JuJu' is an epic fifteen minute long journey filled with joyous, duelling guitars, syncopated percussion, shuffling rhythms and a myriad of unexpected passages and turns. Captivating from the off, there's only one word to describe 'JuJu' - magical.

On the flip ' Tcham Tcham' takes a more direct route to the dancefloor... Riding on a more electronic 4/4 beat, it's unashamedly leftfield, with a thunderous chug, a great guitar riff and deadpan calls of 'Tcham Tcham', which all builds up to an anthemic climax. Drop it and watch the dancefloor melt.

On the B-Side; Dara takes a bare-back ride through a pitched dreamscape. The constant flapping wings of a Little Dragon guides him. If you stretch out your arms it feels like flying.
Lastly with 'Red Roses' Peter conjures up an irresistible dream-like, slo-mo workout, guaranteed to be drifting out across the Adriatic beach parties this summer

Continuing on from the massive Kon 12" released on Basic Fingers we welcome back our good friend Kok. On the A side Koko delivers a real uplifting feel-good disco/boogie scorcher that will make you wish for those hot summer parties .
Stay With Me by Norman Connors is perhaps not his most known track but we'll guarantee this bad boy will be the prime time number for many DJ's as Koko's really take this track to another level. Soulfulness at its very best! On the B-side Burning Up by Imagination has, since it's release almost 30 years ago ripped up dancefloors all over with it's piano chord hook and a steady bassline. This mix is an updated version with lots more production details and plenty of Koko flavour.
Its already been tried and tested in the Basic Finger kitchen with an exceptional result.

Lets Ride is the third artist album by KRAFTY KUTS. On this album KRAFTY has produced 16 tracks with many Featured Vocalists that showcase the many influences of today¹s dance music and show the eclectic side of Krafty Kuts and his world famous DJ sets. Be it hip hop,breaks, Drum and Bass, Rave or Dub step there is something for everyone on this album.

Vibrations are fast gaining a reputation as Britain's finest exponent of vintage-leaning, analogue jack music, and this EP from the mysterious Last Floor Hotel is another winner to add to their list of fine releases. "Track One" opens with a flurry of drum machine driven power accented with acid gurgles and chilling organ chords that recall Legowelt at his finest. "Between Them" meanwhile opens proceedings with a bleep filled intro, with distant Chicago-inspired vintage bass weighting everything down as shady Detroit melodies seep through a lo-fi haze. On the flip, "Ride Me 660" is a sparse and moody acid number with neon, syrup coated bass which adds a heavy atmosphere to the EP. The record is closed out with a remix by none other than Luv Jam, who reworks "Between Them" into an airy Balearic number, with 303 flecks combining with bright melodies and a driving bassline to create the musical equivalent of stepping into a warm bath.

Small World Disco Edits are back at it again, this time with a release from the head honcho himself, LTJ! Working under his LTJ Edit Rework guise and on point as ever. Three great edits, all testaments to the reason LTJ is such a respected figure in the edit world.

The Majesty's Pleasure label returns after an extended break with their fourth issue of disco-centric edits and it's clear the time out of the spotlight has left this mystery bunch of dusty fingered tweakers fully refreshed. Whilst previous volumes have dipped toes in funk filled and Philly string led waters, Majesty's Pleasure Vol 4 focuses fully on music from the post-disco /proto-house period of the 1980s and sounds very much like a Beautiful Swimmers DJ set condensed into just 12 inches of vinyl. The concerted diggers out there will be consulting their sample notes for the source material on each of these ("Space Palace" has the most obvious hook) whilst those who've simply been enjoying output from the intermittent EROS label will love both sides here.

MERC 009 sees another Mark E 2 tracker with SNOW WALKER & ENVIRONMENT.

Snow walker combines an uptempo relentless percussive hard nosed rolling drum rhythm, running parallel with shimmering disco lights, synth blobs and a messed up yeti vocal nag, nestling comfortably somewhere between the black country and the black forest.

Environment however pushes itself all deepness and glory with electronic female vox, looping sub bass boogie and a slow Sasquatch techno sensibility.

ISM Records drop this tasty 12" sampler of what to expect from their forthcoming Midnight Riot compilation that showcases the finest slo mo cuts, boogie joints and late night takes. The four tracks included here represent the DJ friendly contributions with Drop Out Orchestra, Ajello, The Legendary 1979 Orchestra and Mr Chicago present. The latter steps up first with "Bad Dub" which expertly submerges a mid 90s US rock n roll classic in all manner of echo and delay, whilst fellow Scandinavians Drop Out Orchestra provide an equally inventive electro groove rendition of a Sylvester standard with "Get Up". Dinner City Sound contributor The Legendary 1979 Orchestra brings some effervescent disco vibes to the B Side with "The Living" notable for its rough drum programming as much as the slick sample looping. Little needs to be said about Italians Ajello other than they know how to construct a disco groove that combines classic and contemporary touches and "That Groove Again" is a perfect example of this talent.

Having previously had their music released on labels including BearFunk,
Is It Balearic, Electric Minds and Under The Shade, the Mushrooms
Project are already well known in the sleazy disco scene.
Italians Giorgio and Marco have been producing their blend of freaky mid
tempo weirdness since 2008 and have always aimed their music straight at
the late night party.
'Fly Away' is their debut release for Leng and, at 16 minutes, is as long as it
is mesmerising with it's lazy afro quality. Full of analog instruments; guitar,
bass, synths and percussive sounds create a dirty but unique window into
the unusual minds of the Mushrooms and has set the standard for their
future releases.
On the B Side, fresh from their recent 10' release for Leng, the 40 Thieves
return with a mix of 'Fly Away' that once again shows they are ones to
watch. Adding more of those warm sounds they up toughen up the beats
for a hypnotic late night dance foor epic.
Look out for long players from both Mushrooms Project and 40 Thieves later
in 2012...

Double ten inch pack edition of the debut release from Love Interest, a newly minted label from the Records enclave. Minneapolis based electroboogie crooner Nyteowl has been handed the honour of the debut release with the Prince-leaning "Love Of Mine", and this edition features remixes from both Brassica and Astro Chicken founder Hyboid. Given the nature of their output, both are perfectly placed to tease out the nuances of a 80s referencing electronic soul track and Brassica in particular excels, extracting gleeful new levels of texture out of the synth sounds with a truly twisted remix. Hyboid adopts an outer galactic electro poise reminiscent of his finest output on Astro Chicken, and if vocals aren't your thing, check the B-side of each ten inch slab for instrumental mixes.

Love Interest is a new label-shaped endeavour from some of the decision makers at Records sporting a broad international remit, and they launch in style with a triple format release! The honour of the maiden Love Interest release falls upon Nyteowl, an artist based in Minneapolis and perhaps inspired by that city's most famous son Prince Rogers Nelson. This seven inch picture disc edition contains only the original Nyteowl rendition of "Love Of Mine" - there are some tasty remixes on the other DJ friendly formats - and the track is a deliciously sultry slice of electronic soul with a notably 80s flavour. Check those big drums!

Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco release an un-mixed compilation of their most popular disco reworks from the last few years put together with a number of super tasty never released before cuts exclusive to this format !!

Usual high standards are maintained as the pair lovingly tweak and rework some killer tunes into big-hitting dance floor bombs.

Following on from the massively popular 'Philadelphia International: The Re-Edits' package, here is the 2nd release in our special 'Philly 40' campaign which is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Philadelphia International Records. Welcome to the hugely anticipated 'Philadelphia International Classics: The Tom Moulton Remixes'.

Tom Moulton's involvement with Philadelphia International spans the entire 40 years of their existence with many of his early mixes unaccredited in the era before the 12' Disco Disc. In 1977 PIR released the ground-breaking historic original double LP 'Philadelphia Classics' which featured 8 ofTom Moulton's greatest PIR mixes. The album has subsequently been reissued several times and is rightly hailed as a 'must have' classic for ANY serious music lovers' collection.

Pitchben in full effect again. After the massive success of the album and - Stand Up' remixes, which went top 10 at Beatport, and was seen in dozens of DJ playlists, here comes the second remix package of Munich's true disco entrepreneur. Alexander Maier's remix is perhaps one of the best remixes we can offer in the first half of 2012, already recommended as remix of the year by Penner & Muder (Mood Music). Having been behind a plethora of releases on cult Nu-Disco labels like Noid, Fiasco, U Star, Nuphonic, Eskimo etc etc over the years he has cemented his reputation as an amazing producer in his own right as well a studio engineer extraordinaire for the likes of the Idjut Boys, Glimmers & many more.

Brand new 12 from Traveller Records, hot on the heels of the boogie masterclass that was Alphabet City, comes Rayko to school you in nu-italo recreation. This is chuggy Moroderish dancefloor stuff of the highest order - watch the crowd dissapear into the tunnel from the beginning titles of 70s/80s Dr.Who - and fall out the other side into the Tomorrows World studio!

Room 315 step up to the fledgling Kinfolk imprint for three tasty psyche-edit numbers; opener "The Eon Men" sets the standard with its robust bass pulse driving a slow beat forward on a flurry of digitised synth solo and live guitar action, whilst "Night On The Shore" begins as a sinister number with lurching bass, but soon opens itself up with its solitary guitar line and floating synth pads which recall the end credits to an 80s thriller, all driven along with minimal 808 percussion. On the flip, edit masters Soft Rocks provide their own version of "The Eon Men", taking the grizzled quality of the original and creating their own minimal wave inspired reworking, with a brittle bassline joined by shady echoes of dub music in its cavernous backdrop and savage low end.

After the success of Rayko's Juno chart topping 'People' EP (Retro006), Retrospective label heads Ruben & Ra step back into the breach for the label's 7th release.

Aficionado is a Manchester institution, a Sunday night session devoted to the musical miracles which many overlook.
Moonboots and Jason Boardman have, over many long years at the helm, championed an endless list of lost classics and new delights. It's the very definition of Balearic, without genre or agenda...

So it's high time they had a platform to showcase some of their buried treasure with the rest of us. The debut release defines what they're about perfectly.
The super talented Shawn Lee (and his Ping Pong Orchestra ) has released some truly amazing music since the mid-nineties, one of his songs was even covered by the stout chinned talent show crooner / pop sensation Will Young.
But it's Shawn's recent work on Ubiquity which has really shone. 'San Diego' first appeared on the Miles Of Styles album and became an end of night staple at Aficionado.
So, who better to take the gentle melodic bossa of the original to the beach bar than Balearic stalwart & 'nado regular guest DJ, Phil Mison
Phil expertly re-arranges the song, bringing the percussive elements & acoustic guitar to the fore and adding a splash of sonic confectionery.

The Situation crew have paid their dues with some of the better disco edits to surface in recent times - a particularly slick and slippery revision of a Quantic standard for Disco Deviance still gets rotation from those in the know. It's nice to see the slightly elusive Five Valley crew return to the art of the twelve inch with something a bit more substantial in form of a new label Situationism and some original material for the debut release. "Barcelona" is presented in three different danceable situations (geddit) with the disco version a particular highlight. The excellent Psychemagik are also called on to remix the track in their own inimitable somewhere between house and disco style.

GAMM is mucho mucho proud to invite Suonho to the GAMM family.
He's already a well established name on the edit scene, especially after his huge Donny Hathaway edit last year. On GAMM he's now droppin' two heavyweight reworks on one of our all-time social ghetto soul tunes "The World Is A Ghetto". Suonho made classy edits of both the original War version but also George Benson's epic jazz-funk version.

To be honest, we can't choose a winner as we love both version equally but we guarantee you'll use both versions.

After the HUGE success of Suonho's 'The Ghetto' 12' last year, we jumped at the opportunity to work together with him again. This is the first 12' from an ongoing project titled 'The Director's Cuts'.
Five hard to find tracks each with deep funky flavour and not originally intended for the dance floor superbly 'reloved', rearranged and given that extra bit of Suonho magic!

Excellent third release on the essential 'Supafrico Records' featuring four absolutely stunning Afro flavoured grooves dug deep from the vaults. First up we have a previously unreleased extended version of 'Hot Black 'N' Sweet' by Nigerian funkster Kio Amachree. Taken from the über-rare 1981 'Ivory' LP, this a slice of pure funk filled afro boogie led by a groovy phat bline, driving horn section and Kio's magnificent Kid Creole-esque vocals. Number two comes in the form of 'Slow Down' from the hugely sought after 1981 'Grill' album by Amas. But 'Slow Down' it doesn't! With a catchy, pulsating drum intro, layers of incredible stabbing piano and damn-right groovy guitar licks, by the time the vocals come in, you're already in a state of Afro-euphoria! On the flip, we have the full 10 minute version of the ultra rare 'Sabi (Get Down)' from Ghanaian master drummer, Okyerema Asante feeding us a funk-riddled piece of undiluted afro groove pie with awesome vocals and tripped out synths Finally, if that wasn't enough, Time Will Tell is a deeply undulating Afro funk disco gem from the 7-piece who were also known as the Lafayette Rock Band. Remastered to the max, this EP is an absolute necessity!

The Sccucci Manucci label has done a fine job of handpicking artists on the rise for their releases to date, collaring the likes of Casino Times, Francis Inferno Orchestra and Toomydisco as well as the odd established name like Jacques Renault. The label's fourth release Forza Quattro is still grounded in the disco/house sensibility that has served them so well, though the presence of Waze & Oddysey demonstrates the Sccucci A & R team are willing to deviate. The elusive US pair are in the midst of a hot patch right now with releases already burning on Body Work and Southern Fried and plenty more due over the coming months, so their presence here is a real coup. "I Can't Hear You" sounds vaguely like a extra bouncy cover of the classic "RIP Groove" and definitely ranks alongside their output to date. Alongside this the white vinyl EP has tempo traversing contributions from Fil Lavin, Sellouts and Deadly Sins, with the latter's slow and chuggy "Don't You Know" a particular highlight.

From the tropics comes Whiskey Disco, a sneaky re-edit label bent on dredging the decanter for diffident dancefloor genius from latent disco perpetrators. It's loosely connected to Sleazy McQueen and his assorted cohorts.

Behind 'cosmic metal mother' you'll find our man in rome paolo di nola. here he takes time out from running his panacustica label to present you a lovely, melancholy, downbeat piece of cowboy disco. on the a-side you'll get an additional version by label honcho prins thomas, giving you what you never knew you wanted... a potent mix of bluegrass and acid... on the b-side NYC's The Stallions aka gunslingers extraordinaire Lovefingers and Lee Dougles fights of the bad guys and gets the girl in the end.... into the sunset... Soulful track with Nicholas written all over it. Cool female vocal and a nice shuffle on the percussion. Synth and bass are trademark Nicholas/NMH style. Back to his best!!

Again, another instantly recognisable Nicholas production, the dude has style! Nice percussion and a hypnotic vocal. Great synth lines and pumping, old school house style flavour to the bass/keys.

Side B
B1: All I Got
Really simple but a effective track. Again, a real old school house vibe on this one brought to life by the synth and with a short vocal sample topping things off. Very well executed production.

B2: If You Want
More of a funk vibe going on here. Definite dancefloor hit, that's much deeper than the rest of the record, and it hits the spot! Bass is brilliant, vocal superb - just makes you want to groove!! Hit!

Nicholas is back where he belongs, on No More Hits' 14th release. A special release as ever from the underground maestro.

ollowing their recent track on Redux's Pick & Mix Vol. 1, the disco legend that is Pete Herbert and Melbourne's Golden Fleece further cement their collaboration with this full EP on Space Walker Records. "Ivory Waves" is a 90s influenced cut of uplifting piano-driven Balearic house, complete with lush cosmic flourishes, whilst "The Bells Of Hackney" is a more low-slung, but no less powerful production. Initially combining a snaking live bassline and spaced-out arpeggios, the track builds to a crescendo as heavily flanged piano and tights guitar licks come into play. The B-Side meanwhile serves up two remixes of "Ivory Waves"; Lithuania's Downtown Party Network recompose it as an even more-good time anthem (if such a thing is possible) with their trademark melodic charm, while Slovenia's Sare Havlicek takes the track into deeper territory bringing the thick bassline teasing the melody with dubbed out stabs, slowly bringing the huge piano line in before dropping it with force, taking the anthem potential of the original and running with it.

Danish duo Laid Back made a most surprising comeback to the clubs in
2010 with "Cocaine cool". Not that they had ever been really forgotten:
Their electro pop classic "white horse" remained a sure shot in clubs for
the thirty years after it's release 30 years back and a constant
inspiration to boatload of diverse artists from techno to hip-hop.

1990. England. A revolution is building across the UK. Dilapidated warehouses and factories come to life at night. Euphoric teens defy police bans and cordons to embrace life and the dancefloor. The first World Unknown 12' of 2012 is a double header of throbbing midtempo techno and as with all World Unknown releases from now on both tracks have been mastered for vinyl from ½ inch tape for maximum sonic excellence.

On Side W Semtek from Don't Be Afraid joins forces with his afterparty alter-ego Chardonnay and a certain rather well known OG hipster poet on 'Tacos For Dinner', an extremely modern and massively psychedelic trip into the outer mind. This clicking, bleeping, fizzing and throbbing ten minute excursion has been road tested from acetate by Andy Blake for many months and always sends the club somewhere very special and ever so slightly scary.

On Side U Scott Fraser delivers 'Remains The Same'. It's a notch or two less pacey than side w but no less powerful or psychedelic. It's earthy vibe and pounding, throbbing tones have been part of Andrew Weatherall's sets for some time now and it's not hard to see why. When the full percussion finally comes crunching in like a breakbeat on top of the ever-present heavyweight bassline it's disco pandemonium time.

In short, possibly the best 12' so far from WU. Let's see where 2012 takes the label.

'If it isn´t broken don´t fix it' goes the saying. And that is definitely the case with Luv Shack 002. After a brilliant opening with 001 why indeed change a winning recipe So the good people of Luv Shack have done the right thing and opted with another sampler from the same personal and another stonking EP from the boys from Vienna. The exciting thing about the last release was the consistency with all four artists and tracks picking up props from various parts of the Globe. The quality control department at Luv Shack records is obviously in supreme working order with yet another fantastic four for the floor to report on.

Once again, LeSale leads the way like he did on LUV001 with 'On the Beach' First thing that hits you is the pull on that bass string. It wobbles from here to eternity and I got to question the size of the fingers of the Mutha that pulls that string. Got the build ups too with some big multi-tier action. Not just happy to sit in monster groove, it´s got some serious breaks and some shake downs that take you definitely to the next level. All about building it up, yeah!

The return too of Burnin Tears is most welcome. Super tight and precise, and with a beautiful warmth and lush deepness. The sort of track I wanna hear in complete darkness. Big claps and hypnotic snyths hold 'How I Feel' together, and the pitched down vocal snippet is just plain sexy. I sometimes wish everyone would talk in real life pitched down to this sort of sound.

The B-Side gets off to a flyer with Jakobin & Domino. The nice big healthy dosage of 'Jack' in this track is sure to make this a big winner right around peak time. The big throbbing bass also is bound to bust out a sweat in some unsuspecting punter on a dancefloor somewhere.

And as last time, Mr Lee Stevens brings up the rear with 'Reapers of Luv'. Last not least is an apt saying too in this case with this being an absolute stormer and wonderful musical journey. A monstrous moody looping rhythm and some magical interplay make this an epic track to get things really going. Huge!

Another critical release, following the deadly DJs Pareja single of last month. Perfectly timed and cued after the recent Raudive long-player on Stefan Goldmann's Macro label. Raudive is Oliver Ho's darker, more 'new-wave' operative, and these latest productions have caught the attention of the folks at History Clock - and it's a perfect alliance. The 'Levels EP' is a debased mix of sleazy, after-hours acid-dancehall with the icy cool of minimal, machine-music dynamics. Essential, in a word.

New label Sunkissed Records brings you the first in a series of fantastic compilation 12's featuring choice Balearic moments from different artists with the spotlight focused this time on blues rockers Fleetwood Mac. Kicking off the beach party is Arthur Baker's incredible extended dance version of the Mac classic 'Big Love' that became an staple at the early Ibiza parties as did the next track 'Ricky', a lost 7' B-side also caned on the White Isle in the late 80s. Finally on this side is the more up-tempo disco-tinged 'Keep on Going' keeping the floor moving. Kicking off the B-side is the mesmerisingly dreamy groover 'Hypnotised' a true Balearic classic followed by two more sunkissed delights, the sublimely sensual 'Brown Eyes', and finally 'World Turning' a bluesy stormer with some amazing percussion that also found much favour in Ibiza. An essential slab of vinyl and a must-have for that perfect sunset record box.

Daniel Solar is one half of Dikso, the excellent edits imprint responsible for many a disco-rinsed dancefloor burner over the last year. The Hannover native is also one of Berlin's emergent talents, a DJ, producer, label owner and A&R intent on bridging the gap between disco and dance music, while coaxing the techno-loving city's tastes a little further off the beaten track. As a child of the early 80s, Daniel was strongly influenced by synth pop and dance music, before rap and hip hop caught his imagination and inspired his first forays into production. Once he had finished school, Daniel became more and more and intrigued with house and techno, clubs and raves, and his studio style expanded to take in electro, techno, and deep house until we arrive at today and his latest release: Too Much Light EP.

Fantastic limited reissue of John Ozila's killer funk album from 1979. Released on French label Disques Vogue, this super-rare LP is chock full of amazing Afro and Latin flavoured disco/boogie gems including the cosmic disco classic 'Funky Boogie'. Previously a fiercely-guarded record collectors' secret, this blisteringly hot and energetic disco workout has recently gained massive new wave of fans after the Pilooski edit of it featured in a TV ad. The album also features joyous afro-boogie bubbler 'Let's Go Boogie', the great brassy salsa-funk of 'Vamos A Bailar' and superb hypnotic spacey groover 'L'Orange Bleue'. Top quality release!

Fantastic sounding reissue of The Fresh Band's highly sought-after 1984 classic 'Come Back Lover'. Produced by The Strikers' Darryl Gibbs and mixed to maximum effect by the one and only Tony Humphries, this super cool disco boogie floor-burner made it big in the Underground dance clubs of Chicago & New York, receiving heavy rotation from legendary DJs like Mancuso, Levan and Ron Hardy. One of only a handful of releases on obscure NY label Are n' Be, the original on the A-side features a super-uplifting piano, a hypnotic bassline (later sampled by Bob Sinclar), an über-tight slap guitar and silky smooth vocals all melting together to create a euphoric slice of funky heaven! On the flip, we have the astounding nine minute Tony Humphries Dub Mix which moves towards a deeper, headier groove, with atmospheric echoing vocals and mind-blowing piano breaks. Great stuff!

Limited edition double header of superb early 80s disco funk classics from Trinidadian singer Jimmy Ross. Originally released on renowned Canadian label Quality Records with musical production handled by Italian super-producers Stefano Pulga and Luciano Ninzatti, also known as Kano, both cuts were given a New York spin in the extended remixes featured here. Paradise Garage legend Larry Levan took over the helm for 'First True Love Affair' creating a swirling heavy hypnotic dancefloor bomb. Unbelievably sexy and insanely funky, this rocks the floor every time. On the flip is the long version of 'Fall into A Trance' remixed amongst others by Turntable Orchestra's Hippie Torrales who at the time was resident DJ at New Jersey's infamous Zanzibar club. Also 100% tuned to the dancefloor, this showcases Mr Ross's raw soulful vocals perfectly with a sleazy low-slung grinding funk backdrop. Sadly Jimmy Ross only produced a handful of singles during his career but thankfully among them were a couple of the best disco tracks ever made. Essential!

The Adelaide based Dessert Island Discs crew are back for their first release of 2012. A superb joint effort from LNTG and D.o.G, taking care of a side each. Continuing the barrage of huge edits from where they left off last year. Support from Horse Meat Disco and Greg Wilson!

Up front white label test pressings of the long overdue debut opus from underground dance icon Ali Renault! You might know Renault from his work as part of Heartbreak, or from many a fine release on the seminal Dissident, or maybe more under the radar releases on Cyber Dance, Future Flash and more. An impressive understanding of the four corners of the electro galaxy in Detroit, Rimini, Den Haag and London has permeated all Renault material and is certainly evident here. Across this eight-track double vinyl pack, Renault squeezes out plenty of bicep rippling moments fit for speaker exposure at World Unknown. Additional nods to Renault's influences come in the shape of a guest vocal spot from the iconic Italo voice that is Fred Ventura, whose delightfully off key tones line "Fade Away".

Whilst some people claim that the number seven is lucky, some people, like Duff, don't believe in luck, or if there is such a thing as luck you make your own. You can't rely on anyone else to hold your hand you know, you gotsta forge your own path, they aren't called the mean streets for nothing. Duff is the sort of man who not only makes his own luck (cos who else is gonna look after you) but he keeps an eye on his bredren too. Those in the neighbourhood feel safe because All's Good in Duff's hood, always has been, always will be, the police don't even come there, because they don't have to, that block is on lock-down brother. Though he isn't some type of machismo, over-the-top (hat back go-on Sly) caricature, it's just the way it is, nuthin to argue about. He has a way about him, the glare of a Pitbull and the smile of Don Juan, Dusty is his girl yep that's her real name, the name her mamma gave her on the day she was introduced to this world. The girl is fine that's for sure but what else would you expect from the honey that rides shotgun with the sonic Casanova. She might call herself lucky. Duff would disagree.

Are they triplets We don't know. Are they ancient Balearic overlords, risen from their white sand graves Or are they cosmic kids, a new generation of vagabond disco trippers taking to the future by way of the past - we can't say. Have they produced a sparkling slice of sunrise disco house We'd like to think so.

'Lonely Land' is a filtering, chugging swing for the lovers, and F3's debut. The ClubMod002 release includes remixes by John Talabot and Seahawks and is set for release on February 27.

every turn on this 5 track 12" shows something different from the band. album track 'how small we are' shows their signature atmospheric sound, pushed further with african percussion, multiple choirs and heavier synths. then there's 'mysterons' - their take on the opening track from portishead's 'dummy' album. it's almost unrecognizable, reconstructing it into a synth-ed out new wave party jam. there's two heavyweight mixes as well from shangaan electro and the mighty Moodymann.

Nozinja and nurse Matlala of South Africa's shangann electro scene took pollyn's catchy, all-about-the-bassline track 'how small we are' and made it even more thrilling by adding new vocals and doubling its length.

Finally the cherry on the cake is the Moodymann remix of Sometimes You Just Know'.
