SA based Dakin Auret opens in fine style with a piece of current European sounding house being made popular by the likes of Noir, Hot Since 82 & Larse. I'm Going's smooth grooves are the order of the day with snappy drums beating at the heels of a hulky bassline. Airy chords add tension to the groove whilst an epic main break shows exactly why Dakin is the labels top selling artist.

Kick back for a tripped out affair as Daniel Ray adds his dub touch on Dead End.
Another SA producer now based overseas - Bahrain to be exact, an influence clearly heard in his productions that have been getting love far and wide across the Atlantic. A fairly new artist to the label, whose sound has quickly found fancy with it's haunting melodies, exquisite bass grooves and clean production. This is an absolute smokers delight.

The B side sees some rather rude house action by Brit bad-boy - Nohijo.
Do It All Night will raise the roof on even the most discerning of floors with its exquisite production and energetic arrangement.
Slamming drums mesh perfectly with a bassline designed to rip speakers apart whilst a familiar vocal snippet rides tight with solid,chunky chords. Proper house music.

Ruyman Mas closes the EP with an absolute banger in the form of Covachos. The Tenerife born producer has a pendant for bringing it sleazy with a devilishly crafted blend of deep/tech house.
Here Ruyman rides a low slung groove with cold chords, bouncy synths and a cheeky vocal.
A guaranteed floor mover that should appeal across genres. You'll be hearing a lot more of this name in the coming months but remember you heard him here first!

Taste Of Honey is proud to present the true sound of the early 80': Change was an Italian-American post-disco group formed in Bologna, Italy in 1979 by businessman and executive producer Jacques Fred Petrus (1949-1986), Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani. They were heavily influenced by legendary disco band Chic. In this release we can listen the original "Got To Get Up" (1983) plus a very clubby remix by Re-Tide (Taste Of Honey's Crew). The old sound and the new sound in one vinyl: born in 1983, evolved in 2014!

After delivering a top-notch remix for the first effort (PULP01), DaRand agreed to come up with an entire EP for the label's forthcoming output. The result is well orchastrated deephouse sounds with that signature DaRand Land vibe. The opening track 'The Long Night' and the follow up 'Soothe Me' both have that classic American house vibe to it while the EP takes a more percussive route on 'Tribute To Ron And Anthony'. DaRand continues to show his versatility on the downtempo track 'Cling To A Cloud' which has that dreamy touch to it. 'Jose Lau' helps out on the B side with his mix of 'Sunshine To Peaches'. All and all PULP is determined to set a very classic standard in modern House.

groove throughout it's eight minute duration with subtle nuances adding hidden
textures.

Herck creates an ethereal, melodic vibe here with bubbling earthy percussion, rolling
organ hits and ever evolving synth lines, running alongside crunchy distorted drums.

B2 Trabajo Pele & Shawnecy Mix
The dynamic duo steps up on remix duties next, edging the record into a shuffling house
state with raw, swung drums, a sub-driven, garage-tinged bass hook and dubbed-out
synth lines. Shawnecy heavily manipulates minute vocals with elongated rhyhmes and
adding a trippy hip hop edge, as expected this is serious peak-time business with dark
atmospherics.

Ever since Digitalism played Boiler Room at 2013's !Melt Festival the internet has been asking what this track might be. There have even been bootlegs made from the audio, but the version we release on Vinyl was the one that lit up dancefloors from I Love Techno in Belgium to Genban in Tokyo, Output in New York and Razzmatazz in Barcelona. It's been a staple in the Digitalism DJ set for almost a year and a unshared gem until now. Steve Nash is our next pick in our quest for discovering amazing new talents in the shark
infested waters from Germany. His last material on Natural Rhythm is still tearing up dance
floors in the world week by week, and here on we decided to release him on a well deserved
12''.

The first track on the 12'' , 'Dancing' , begins nicely enough with a cavalcade of
percussive delights. Soon enough he chunky kick drum moves into gear, alongside a cheeky
little baseline that rumbles beneath the surface. A sweeping synth enter the track, and leads it to
the breakdown where funky melodies build to the beautiful sweeping synth, that all unite with
the chunky baselines and driving beats
On the b side we see No Como which kicks into gear with some driving beats yet again
as well as a deep bouncy baseline. Very solid in the first half, the track also hits a curious
breakdown that is similar in style to the a-side, featuring a high pitched synth, as well as some
funky vibes, all while the hi hats are building furiously.

Re.You's remix has quite an enchanting feel throughout, with float effects and nice
dreamy feel to it, despite the fact that the beats are quite solid and the baseline quite chunky.
It's a very nice production with solid rolling beats, bass and a nice vocal that makes a great
track incredible.

Emanuel Satie has gained a high reputation for doing quality tracks . Working as intern
at Cocoon surely helped him learn the business. When you hear his remix u get that specific
summer anthem quality track which makes you dance on the side of the pool and after jump
inside because you are too heated by it. This is a real summer anthem, ready to be played out
in Ibiza and at all backyards that feature fresh air!

Hot on the heels of BMM 002 comes the latest instalment of the birdsmakingmachine series - BMM 003 - a package combining their signature sine-bass laden grooves, steel drums and oblique melodies.
'Antonio's Swing', as the title indicates, literally swings listeners into its rhythm with dark vocal snippets layered onto soft stabs and eerie melodies. 'Woodpeckers', on the a2, takes a more linear approach, an effective dj-friendly tool that will please dancefloors in the late hours of the night/early hours of the morning. On the flip, in 'Silk Road' we find a captivating, yet mysteriously funky minimal house affair that builds and builds until finally erupting following the break. The EP is rounded-off with 'Dead Lines', a broken themed galloping of bass kicks fused into moody melodies and reverberated far cries, resembling a genuine excavation into the depths of house music - another example that the Birds are always trying to redefine the genre's boundaries.

Russian producer Neotnas deliveres 'Slow & Steady', his first EP on Soundtravels (ST006). We've already introduced him on our first various artist EP 'Point Of View Part 1' (ST005). Typical for his sound is that warm, organic feel all over his house and dubtechno productions. Very often accompanied by female vocals and it's almost like you hear somebody play a live instrument if you listen carefully. The EP kicks off with the massive floorfiller 'Trunk Party'. An energetic, solid built up track with that bassline killer hook. 'User mood' has that typical Basic Channel touch. Dubby techno guided by a floating bassline and little pleasant delays. We're slowly moving forward with evolving sticky, dubby beats in the title track 'Slow & Steady'. This one will warm up every dancefloor, but is also very welcome in the afterhours. The last addition to this EP is 'Hold', a warm deephouse track with moody, hopeful and sensitive sounds which reflect beautiful emotions. In what was a definitive first year for the imprint, with two solid EPs from Petre Inspirescu and Vlad Caia, Pluie/Noir also endorsed numerous acclaimed Podcasts and served as the platform for various artistic endeavors embraced not only by their own artists but also by the world. To commemorate this achievement, and in a respectful manner to their long time collaborators, the imprint is now releasing a 12 track compilation spread across three 12's showcasing the various sounds that personify the imprint and give their artists a well deserved voice. The narrative to the compilation reflects the minimalistic musical template that is so dear to Pluie/Noir, where simple and complex structures meet along the way in the attempt of creating something that can last in time. Each track is a concise exploration of house music's skeleton, leaving nothing to waste, but never feeling in slightest bit sterile. It's surprising and unpredictable, but in an organized, artistic manner.

Adrian Niculae better known as Priku is one of bucharest's finest djs and producers as well. After realeasing for labels like arpiar and all inn he now decided to start his own path. Motif will probably feature most of his works from now on, plus some of his close aquaintance's.

Acustic is the name chosen for motif 01 and experiment is the game. Not sounding too far from his last experience on arpiar, Bonita mariposa is a dreamy yet pumping track, filled with shakers and spikes that go along perfectly with the dark piano. Afterhour delight or possibly an intricate starter, who could tell . Marker keeps the darkness but inserts more rhythm, more percussion, more mystery. The wandering artists are back for the third instalment of the Birdsmakingmachine series, this time again going deeply into the abysses of house music. 'Multiverse', occupying the whole A-side, is a deep dancefloor affair filled with endless pads which, having been layered onto elaborate drum grooves, fuse together into the endless horizon. The B-side goes into similar territory, while still managing to create a slightly different ambience:
'40th of May' uses intricately groovy steel drum patterns on a long, never-ending journey through the deep depths of the ocean, as for the end credits, 'Dune' rounds off the EP with an instantly hypnotising groove that melts into delayed vocals, slightly darker pads and a galloping, yet smooth sine-wave bassline.

After the high acclaimed first release last month with Chris Rea's Josephine, we're back with the second edtion of MB EDITS. This time we play tribute to Swedish pop/rock band Eskobar with their world wide major hit back in 2002. Someone New features Heather Nova on vocals. The song was in TV commercials for Peugeot 208 and mobile operator 3. The first edit comes from Sweden's high rising stars Copycat and Martin Brodin. Their slow electronic-disco chugger is simply put as a beautiful adoption of the original with the hook line working just sublime. Once the song is over you'll will play it over and over. As you'll notice, the original is such a feel-good track. They both lately finished remixes for Nang and LaBelle. Second out is Danish René Kirkegaard alias Cemetary. A producer who likes his Deep/Tech House. And his remix is nothing but a true slow Deep House builder for over 9 minutes with the vocals of Heather Nova coming in just as sweet as we want it. We'd be very surprised if this track wouldn't be rated as one of the best underground remixes of 2012!!!
