True house veteran Gerd, whether crafting classic bangers under his NY Stomp alias or indebted Chicago tracks as Geeeman, is one of the most well-regarded producers out there. 2022 marks his 30th year at the very top of his game, as always proven by his vast record collection and taste for dance music. Now debuting on Nu Groove with ‘We Bring U Muzik’, including his Warehouse Mix and Dub to magnify the groove, it’s a reminder of his passion, knowledge, and experience as a producer. With a steady flow of releases on labels like his own project Frame Of Mind, or his home away from home Clone Records, his work with majorly influential heavyweights including Larry Heard, Romanthony and MK is a true testament to his house credentials. As Gerd delivers another effortlessly timeless solo works, the Nu Groove catalogue wins yet another evergreen release.

As a label, We Must Protect This House make it no secret that it´s ethos is strictly House Music oriented , and WMPTH003 is another perfect representation of this.Truly a peak-time record, the A1 alone is enough to descend any dance floor into oblivion. For his third offering on NBAST´s sub-label, HDSN produced some of his finest work with ‘Here Today Gone Tomorrow’. This EP is one that you could expect to hear deep into the early hours of a Monday morning at the Berghain´s Panorama Bar but also the rest of the four tracker holds no prisoners with hefty House hitters on the ears. HDSN shows one more time his expertise and value for production time delivering the goods for the underground dance floors round the globe! “Here Today Gone Tomorrow” backs up the reputation that has been placed on HDSN as one to watch.

Impulse Translation is the intergalactic alias of Minimono aka Ennio Colaci and Fabio Corcos, the Florence-based megaminds behind Bosconi Records. Having conquered the physical plane with nearly 20 years of their own productions and 50 Bosconi releases, the duo set their sights on untapped regions of synth and rhythm exploration for this custom-built journey through innerSpace. Ennio and Fabio's studio experimentation reaches new heights in the euphoric, beautifully-layered synth crescendos of Mirror Image and Aural Ensemble–perfect highpoints for blissed-out capital-m dance floor Moments. Echo Triggering packs enough beefy bottom end and wonky synth sequences to exit mental orbit and Soft Tension will leave them drifting through the twilight wondering "which way is up?".

This 12” is packaged in a recycled cardboard sleeve and bears the standard-issue TerraFirm sticker with tasty flavor text. We hope you enjoy this melodious excursion into the unexplored outer zones of modern machine funk.

A multi-system conglomerate servicing planets within the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, TerraFirm provides the desiccated, toxified, irradiated or otherwise uninhabitable planets of this sector with a suite of services to rectify any environmental challenge. Few moons harbor life and fewer birth it. However, lunar cycles and gravity exert immense influence on biology. Moonlight allows for the existence of nocturnal life. Lunar gravity creates tides that oxygenate oceans, creating conditions for aquatic life. The same force also reduces the planet’s axial tilt, stabilizing climate across seasons. Lunar cycles divide the solar cycle into discrete and perceptible increments. Evolving with lunar cycles, life becomes acutely aware of and synchronizes itself to the passage of time. The abstract concept of Time, as understood by sentient beings, originates in the lunar cycle. Knowledge of Time takes a species out of subjection to nature and provides the first means for impactful action. In the event of prior lunar destruction, TerraFirm will install a precisely calibrated moon, facilitating the rapid complexification of life and intelligence on your planet.

After the EP by Deyayu, Baffling Noise (seekers sublabel) is coming back with another 4 tracks EP this time by the new Australian duo Numbat.

Spanning over decades, Metamorphic Recordings has become a staple name amongst the realms of discerning house and low end leaned techno, and the 39th release is a sure sign the label are showing no signs of slowing down the pace. Dublin based ZOiD is the artist of choice here, the electronic and jazz musician showcasing his genre straining sound with two slick and innovative cuts, writing the narrative for the “Dexaphonic EP”. The originals are in fine company as pioneer of the game John Tejada turns out a remix on the A side, with label founder Dan Curtin joining in the festivities on the B side.

Sparkling in the hazy early hours with a pure and emotional charm is “Space Station Dexaphonic”. The transcending and otherworldly synths all converse in harmony around precise and intricately placed drum patterns. Hi-tek jazz for the tastemakers amongst us. Complementing the opening track is John Tejada’s remix, feel good energy once more, with a vintage Tejada twist. Structured around an elasticated rolling bass, and teased by an enticing vocal sample.

Steering in a more raw and industrial direction on the B side is ZOiD’s “9713Poochy”, a five minute trip with rugged foundations at the core. Moving in quirky and mechanical motions from the get go, driven by an enormous kick at the wheel. Dan Curtin breathes an alternative lease of life into the original with his unconventional sound. The crisp broken drums create an irresistible groove, allowing the ethereal textures to work their magic.

Timeless music once more from the Metamorphic imprint, carefully curated by Berlin based Dan Curtin, inviting artists of old and new, allowing them to have total freedom with their sound and run wild.

Mastered by Robert Feuchtel, Fat of Excellence, Cologne.

His delicate and classy take on house is a breath of fresh air and ideal for the new, hot weather, teasing the reopening of clubs and return to freedom that this summer hopes to bring.

His debut release on Shall Not Fade, Amor Fati EP is a perfectly curated four tracker of jazz with a modern twist, as shown on the opening track and first single "Lone Raver" and its bittersweet chords that blend with melancholy vocals and open out into a euphoric dancy beat. The anthemic trance overtones carry through to "Rah That's a Mad Question", which takes classic piano house vibes and more summertime heat with its Balaeric energy.

"Jazz Club After Hours" is a triumphant, high sheen lounge roller with intricate jazz instrumentation and playful percussion to boot. EP closer, "El Layali" shows the breadth of influence on this record, as it all coalesces into a catchy house number best suited to Mediterranean dances in the sun.

Electric Chairs’ ‘So Many Ways’ is post-punk/funk at its height in 1979 - tough rhythms, avant-garde and addictively hypnotic. Two hard to find bomb tunes!

Superb exact reproduction of this excellent post-punk/funk mini-masterpiece by the Electric Chairs, who were Wayne/Jayne County and the Electric Chairs until Wayne/Jayne County true to their own song Fucked Off. The Electric Chairs included in their line-up Henry Padovani who joined the group after being chucked out of a new band called The Police (replaced by Andy Summers).

But it is the production skills of David Cunningham which sets this apart from most punk/post-punk singles. At the time Cunningham was working with a stunning array of avant-garde artists including This Heat, Michael Nyman, David Toop and his own ‘experimental pop group’ The Flying Lizards.

Both sides of this little-known 45 are stunning – ‘So many Ways’ and ‘J’Attends Les Marines’.

After many years of dedication, devotion and hard work behind the scenes we are happy to share the first album ever released on vinyl by the Wedding Acid Group.

This musical odyssey consists of 8 meticulously crafted tracks, created between 2010 and 2021, representing over a decade of evolution and growth. Each song showcases a unique facet of the trio’s musical prowess, with tempos ranging from 100 to 150 bpm.

Disc 1 serves as a testament to the signature sounds of WAG, kicking off with the iconic and mesmerizing dark break journey “Toy Story” at 150 bpm. The energy continues to soar with the pulsating beats of “Colombo Acid” and “Low Moisture Acid,” both guaranteed to ignite dancefloors worldwide. The first disc comes to a close with “Lost Memory FM,” a true sonic adventure that starts in the abstract, gradually building up to the trademark dancefloor groove that the trio is renowned for.

Disc 2 delves into the introspective and emotive side of WAG’s production process. “Optimistic Acid,” the sole 4/4 track on the second record, enchants listeners with its rhythmic grooves and dreamy melodies, setting the stage for a captivating journey. “Sunday Circles” takes a detour into deeper realms with its evocative and playful melodies. The final side of the album delves even deeper into emotional territory with “Dog Park Memories,” culminating in the breathtaking closing track, “City Gate Funk.”

We are humbled and honoured to present this remarkable work by our dear friends, the Wedding Acid Group. As the second album to grace the shelves of Undersound Recordings.

April 2024 sees the launch of the Stratasonic imprint with the four-track ‘Accidental Effects’ by ANiML, a collaborative guise for the members of the collective behind the label.

Stratasonic is a new label founded by a German/Canadian collective operating out of LA whose roots dig deep into electronic music. By collaborating with artists new and legendary they’ll push the boundaries of the traditional music space into visual arts, video, events, digital and beyond. The collective’s philosophy is to reimagine the music, masters, and methods of the past in a modern context, exposing the world to the stuff they like. Here to inaugurate the label is ANIML, the project whose members will remain anonymous is inspired by the classic era of vinyl and analogue production with hints of 90’s nostalgia.

Title-cut ‘Accidental Effects’ leads the EP and lays down twitchy bass grooves, crisp, crunchy breaks and an amalgamation of hip hop vocals all dynamically pieced together and processed to create a raw, fluid dance floorworkout. ‘Mementos’ follows next and veers into a more immersive, cinematic electronica realm via subtly unfurling synth textures, murky bass swells, bumpy breaks, squelchy acid lines and hypnotic brass licks.

Opening the flip-side is ‘Day Dreaming’, shifting focus back to a raw off-kilter rhythm at its foundation while haunting synth lines ebb and flow amongst hooky vocal chants and bubbling echoes. ‘Formulaic Appeal’ then concludes the original material, a three minute ambient darkwave excursion through brooding analogue bass drones, heavily reverberated atmospherics and a ticking clock like percussive effect.

Emi Ömar drops "JOJO day/night EP," a bold fusion of electronic beats, vocoder accents, and infectious grooves.

This new EP ventures into a sonic territory where various contrasts abound, juggling between daytime brightness and nighttime mystery.

Each track is an escapade that defies conventions, blending impactful synths and captivating rhythms.

Emi Ömar has established himself as a groove master, transforming any venue into a pulsating dancefloor with his infectious beats and dynamic stage presence.

Remix EP 1 (incl. Remixes by Acid Pauli, Coldcut, DMX Krew, Shahrokh Dini, Frivolous)

After the release of Felix Laband’s highly acclaimed 5th album “The Soft White Hand” in November 2022, it’s about time to give it some extra class remix treatment. So here comes a massive package with remixes by living legends Coldcut, Acid Pauli, DMX Krew, Frivolous and Shahrokh Dini.

Felix Laband’s The Soft White Hand is the masterwork of an artist who expresses himself through musical and artistic collage acting together to reinterpret his sources and to express significant elements of his own personal story.

Released by Munich-based Compost Records, the 14-track album is Laband’s first full-length offering since the critically acclaimed Deaf Safari in 2015. It is heralded by the single “Derek and Me”, and is being pressed on vinyl for distribution globally.

In The Soft White Hand Laband works with source materials that will be familiar to those who know his previous four records – Thin Shoes in June (2001), 4/4 Down the Stairs (2002), Dark Days Exit (2005) and especially Deaf Safari which reached deep into the South Africa scene and its political culture to inspire its vocal and music sampling. However, the disengagement he felt from his homeland during his latest album’s creation – an abiding sense of untethered-ness to place and space, exquisitely rendered in tracks like “Death of a Migrant” – is perceptible in Laband’s desire to illuminate instead aspects of his own life.

Co-founder of art space and label Ortloff, FR Fels debuts on BT with Planet Fear
The Leipzig based producer presents five tense, melodic electro tracks drenched in reverb.

Mastered by Alden Tyrell.

For this first physical release Here is a 45 rpm Lp from Philippe Petit! Two techno tracks Warmer and Colder

Marino Scarabelli, the creator of unforgettable progressions in “Are You Loving” and “Love In A Summer Night”, so characteristic and unique that can still give us goosebumps, sat down in the studio again and composed another italo banger. Traditionally, he was joined by Stefano Brignoli, who wrote the lyrics and lent his voice, and that’s how we witnessed the creation of new bomb by Some Bizarre.

But this is not the end of the sensation, because Linda Jo Rizzo joined the band as a guest and you will hear her in female vocal parts, as befits real, indigenous Italo disco. The whole thing was produced by A.P. Mono in collaboration with Marino Scarabelli. For dessert, a very nice remix by Electro Potato.

Music should be felt rather than described
