Büchsenöffner Vol. 5 - Summer Is Here To Spreiz!

2023 Edition - Now a 'cult classic' , repressed for 2023 ears on All City Dublin. Onra started the project in August 2006, freshly returned from a trip to Vietnam, the land of his grandparents. A vinyl junkie at heart, he really couldn’t come back to France without bringing back some wax.

After hours spent riding on a motorbike through the streets of Saigon, a taxi finally helped him find some Asian records - he almost felt like an explorer discovering a forgotten treasure. He bought 30 records, most of them in poor condition, went back to his crib and started making beats with material that he wasn’t quite used to …

Format: Schwarzes Standardvinyl (140g) in schwarzem Outersleeve. Handnummeriert und weltweit auf 500 Einheiten limitiert.

The light is at the end of the tunnel. The light is shining bright because of love. The love is the answer to the darkness + the remedy for the experience which might bring unclearness and letting drown in the metaphorical swamp which every single human has felt during the journey they are on. The EP by the Switzerland based mastermind Dan Piu is dedicated to the love and to the love only. The tracks that were produced from the artist’s creative inflow are from the year 1995 to our present days and are telling the story of hope and compassion. Starting from A side we have a demonstrative rollercoaster which is ‘Selfish War Machine’ gracing before the ‘Made in Japan’ which is inspired by the early arcade machines and the ethos they were bringing with them. Side B starts with seductive house number straight up from the year 1995, followed by Robotic tool ‘Robota’ and finishing off on the perfect and soul caressing track going by the name ‘Equinox of Ceres’. This precise body of work which has found its home with Sakskøbing is pure and direct message of love, in a way when things are seem bleak the light can be sparked again. The answer how this spark gets obtained is the four-letter word which is mentioned frequently in this text

First EP from the RODF Sound System, based in center Japan.

A side brings a superb live : full of ideas and good surprises, kick changes, hypnotic sparks and breakbeats supports. Fresh and absolutly not dark ! Wicked !!

The flip opens with a deep mental Yogi bassline and a sweet Tribe pumpin kick...
The second tune is an experimental Tribe track, melting the SPAZ californian's oldschool ambiances to the KGB01 69DB Hit Hat... Xp oldschool i'd say ??

A japaneese production for the newskool underground never die fever !

Enjoy !

We welcome to the Moustache Records family the oldskool electro legend Martin Matiske with his Electronic disco-ish 12 inch EP release "Robotic Theatre" This is a future vision of a theatre run by robots and is the era in which machines entertain mankind. Operas are written and played in a mechanical way. The pieces of "Robotic Theatre" deal with different terms of stage work. Track A1 is called "Acting Faces" and Refers to the rehearsing of the role, as well as the interaction of the actors on stage. The well-being of the actor does not often match what is played. He has to play even If it's painful. B2 is the track called "Machinery" Human beings are machines that build machines today. The advantage is perfection and time saving. Robots as actors are reliable and precise. B1 listen to the name "Transistor Dances"its Like The Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms you just need a dance to express happiness and remind your culture. Dances bring people together. A robotic dance should not be missing in a play. The last track of the EP is the tune "Practise" a story about a robot the has to practise to achieve perfection and it is fun." Don'tplay this underwater order now gone is gone.

Back in the mid to late 90’s, Dallas’s Troy Anderson aka Waverider, DFD, Cityboy) released a couple of twelves in small quantities on 1200 Music. We’re now bringing the in-demand Cityboy release back to life with a re-release via We’re Going Back records.

Four tracks of deep and jacking techno for your head and most importantly, for the dancefloor.

Ricardo Baez draws on many influences. Electro, house, synth-pop and italo are pillars of the Italian artist’s unique style. The Florence based musician arrives at the Bordello with On and On. Featuring Curses, the opener is a floor-filler. Known for his EBM-stained wave works, this vocal mix is a late night Summer romp. Crisp percussion and warm bass lines usher in addictive hooks and throaty vocals from Luca Venezia.

The original version follows. Lyrics are stripped back allowing the upbeat synth play to take the limelight. Cascading notes announce the flip. “Sfida Notturna” is built on delicate drum patterns and arc of string before breaking to a heady dawn.

“Dietro L’orizzonte” brings the curtain down. Toms and cinematic synthlines introduce rasping rhythms and vocoder samples. The piece is perfectly measured, fragile keys ascend next cymbal crashes and computer voice. Sumptuous sounds from the north of Italy.

Salomo & Reece Walker start their new sublabel from R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings with a collaborative EP of house groovers and freedom vibes.

HOT Ltd Edition 12". This sampler features two cuts from a forthcoming 2LP set + + Stride II's 'Get Down' - a very dope electro joint only available on this record.

Later this year 'Worldwide Connection Vol.1' will arrive as a double vinyl set on the sharp UK label, Non Stop Rhythm (bossed by Tom Carruthers). Look out for it...

Non Volevo Ma Volavo strikes back for yet another trip down memory lane.

Four timelessly ecstatic cuts that survived the slow passing of time, retraced and restored from the archives of Italian dance legends (Visnadi, Gambarelli), specially crafted to make you fly over the dancefloor today, just as they did back then.

Thinc is proud to present the first of a two-part release featuring Romanian Duo, ALSI. Drawing from the title ‘Raw Duties’, Alex Florea & Silviu Tănase give us four chronic, cutting-edge tracks. ‘Raw Duties’ speaks for itself as a percussion-heavy groover filled with eerie synth pads, a punching bassline and subtle vocals. ‘Bold’ introduces itself with it’s pungent bassline, keeping this trippy roller on track as psychedelic sounds, effects & vocals immerse this monster. On the B-side, ‘Sit With Me’ stands strong in this EP with ALSI’s renown syncopated beat and forceful bassline offering the perfect hypnotic groove. Last but definitely not least, we have ‘The Light’, a weird yet seductive track, comprising of bright keys, and soaring synths that crescendo throughout.

.Soundscape Versions pres. its fifth release from Italian producer Antonio Marini.
The EP called "Primitivism Masks" leads a synergy between the electronic matrix and the darkest Dub textures. Irregular rhythms will be perceived, accompanied by various pulsating bass riff and frenetic percussions, of African derivation. King Tubby, Lee Perry, African Head Charge are some of the references of the release that will be heard. A "smoky" and introspective spiral, from the beginning to the
end of the project..

RAVETRX is back on SHERELLE & NAINA’s Hooversound imprint, and it’s a real headturner. If the UK artist’s first contribution to the label was unapologetically ‘90s-facing, ‘14 Down The Dip’ is practically legging it back into a muddy field somewhere along the UK’s growing network of motorways. One thing’s for sure—we’re gonna be here all night.

RAVETRX sets the stage with sounds of a single airhorn and distant crowd before launching into a pounding groove. The title track snapshots a rave well underway: fresh off the M1 and checking out the usual suspects: speedfreaks stepping to white-noise kicks, teens screwfacing to rascally rave synths, and someone swaying wide-eyed to those happy hardcore piano lines.

‘Ruff Enuff Stuff’ goes out to the system heads, rolling the EP into jungle tekno via Patois vocals, crisp breaks and subs. But don’t be fooled by these warmer frequencies—on the flip, RAVETRX jumps back into rave mayhem with ‘On A Mission’, amens going head to head with a snarling bassline. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any heavier, Hooversound label-mate Nova Cheq finishes up the EP with a merciless gabber rework of ‘On A Mission’, sizzling with twitchy acid that’ll speak to the restless and underslept.

An essential cop for the hardcore junglists out there!

2023 Repress

On the A side we've got the quintessential anonymous producer Crue who provides heat with the very first cut on this record which is a peak time banger close to the techno and acid realm. Then, on the same side, a great Detroit deep house influenced track by Esperanza's label boss Kasper shows the infectious and deeper work for this broad release. On the flip side Cologne based producer Adryiano shows his huge talent again with an immense garage house cut made strictly for the dancefloor, with a delicious vocal and an impressive low end that will become an instant classic like his previous releases. Last but not least is Kirill Tipo, one of those hidden new names that are putting out amazing fresh music these days. Argentinian party starters, Interdance, launches their first release as a record label.

What started out as a group of friends making parties back in 2018. Focusing on the idea of taking new and fresh sounds to their hometown, Buenos Aires, they invited DJs from Argentina and Uruguay to come and play. Now ready to take the next step to release their first record with the same intentions as before.

INTER001 starts by inviting top producers and friends from the same countries. Side A consists of two of the founders of M.E.R, Uruguayan producers, Cabanelas and Soto. Whilst the B side hosts, Mich, part of the Pryma family from Argentina.

A mixture of many genres, together, ready for the club.

RAWAX proudly welcomes Mr. Brian Garrett aka Javonnte to the artist family!

Javonntte is the second artist after Los Hermanos aka Mr. Gerald Mitchell, with his own series on the RAWAX MOTOR CITY EDITION.

Lauf001 is a collaboration between Siggatunez and Oliver Bernstein. For -Funkplace One- and -Aliibumba- they visited eachother in their cities and worked together in the studio. The result are two head nodding tracks from hip-hop beat stuff to minimalistic house. A perfect bridge between Dessau & Berlin.

Architect by day and musician by night, Jaime Tellado picks up as Skygaze, and returns to the fold of Flumo Recordings with his brand new 12”, the ‘Astral Trip’ EP; combining his knowledge of architecture with a love for sound to construct and merge acid house, broken beat and atmospheric melodicism.

The 'Astral Trip' EP follows releases on Guayaba records, Riverette and Thirty Three Circular. And remixes for Ed is Dead and Contours & Yadava, earning support/plaudits from the likes of Mr. Scruff, Simbad, k15, Andrew Jervis, Gilles Peterson, amongst others.

The common denominator throughout the release is the balance and combination of various elements, exploring a multifaceted contemporary dance sound whilst paying homage to the foundations of the sounds that we listen to today.

‘Minor Mood’ pays tribute to Chicago and Detroit with its high paced house rhythm, acid synths, and piano lines, whilst ‘City Cathedratics’ slows the tempo down to lay the groundwork for a dreamy synth-laden soundscape.

Whilst the majority of the project is a solo exploration in dance music and its multi-layered context and history, the contributions of vocalist Ruben Ondina lift the high-paced, synth house grooves of ‘Gimme Five’ to another level. Meanwhile, the broken beat influence of London is keenly felt on ‘Nigh Heat’ and ‘Wagwan’, their rhythms emphasised further by harmonic and melodic exploration via atmospheric synths, melodic improvisation and irresistible synth bass lines.

Skygaze reconstructs the rhythms and synths into his own fresh and unique package to paint a picture of spiritual wonder, richness and excitement.

»In Words« is the first solo album by the Danish musician, composer, and visual artist Alexander Tillegreen. The album represents a series of varied electronic music pieces while also carrying examples of ongoing work with psychoacoustic phenomena. Composed partly of material taken from his artistic practice as an installation artist and his ongoing interdisciplinary artistic research into psychoacoustic phenomena, Tillegreen investigates subjective sonic perception and the negotiation of language. Particularly, these investigations are done through the use of the phantom word illusion, originally discovered by music psychologist Diana Deutsch. Parts of the album were conceived when Tillegreen was the first artist ever in resident at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics. Triggering the brain’s tendency to interpret language-based auditory illusions as meaningful information and as words within the mind of the listener, Tillegreen’s unique sound works unfold like a kaleidoscope of phonetic mirrors which render possibilities to reflect upon the listener’s own psychological and culturally situated linguistic embeddedness. Gender-distorted voice perception, speech and language borders are all challenged and thematized throughout Tillegreen’s work. The listener’s head and bodily movement drastically affect the listening and the word interpretation. Their psychological subconsciousness, recent events, memories, and expectations as well as the listener’s motion in space all become co-creative and co- composing factors in a reactive and choreographic process of listening. The polyrhythmic seriality of spatialized syllabic structures is accompanied by elements of heavy bass drops, high-frequency tensions, undulating synth lines, and hypnotic effects. Some of the many compositional potentials of the phantom word illusions are exercised and unfolded in selected tracks throughout the album. The notion of language borders is approached from an entirely different and even more “anti-logocentric” perspective on the “eponymous” closing track »Assimilate (in Words)«, where the listener experiences the struggle and collapse of interpersonal communication through conversation. Other parts of the album represent more diverse approaches to abstract electronic music. »In Words« morphs soundscapes into glacial, spherical passages of ambient backdrops, while at other times emphasizes raw tectonic blocks of hyper-panning drones that erupt into high-velocity outlets of energetic, granular fields. Tillegreen is alternating between cyclical, minimalist, hypnotic approaches and complex, glitchy polyrhythmic melodic structures that shift and melt into evocative ambiences. The phantom words and the nature of Tillegreen’s musical visions progressively demand more of the listener’s attention and represent the artist’s ongoing artistic work and scientific research into psychoacoustics and language. While »In Words« is a highly conceptual album, the musical bandwidth is extensive.
