Following the extraordinary success of the releases signed by Lory D and John Beltran, Soul Research is publishing an EP by the creative minds of Ednic, who is from Livorno, Italy and an historical name in the international realm of electronic music, G-Man.
Pets (Try This With Mantra) is, in its original version, full of pathos. The Tibetan mantra enters and expands through base lines and obsessive rhythm.
The G-Man version, on the other hand, is the perfect for dance floor devastation, like all the techno which has come from Gez Varley.

Here we have the beautifully remastered Foul Play and Foul Play ft Randall remixes of Lords Of The Null Lines. There is little to say about these definitive classics that has not already been said. You know ‘em, you love ‘em, they are essentials.
However, the Danny Styles remixes are perhaps deserving of some explanation. There were created in the early 90s, and were cut, but quickly stopped by Moving Shadow as they were not really official remixes. A few test presses got out, and the result has been these remixes reaching a near mystical status in the passing decades, and the vinyl changing hands on discogs for £500 and other ridiculousness. So it was with great pleasure that Alex Hyper On and myself managed to broker a deal with Moving Shadow and Danny Styles to bring these amazing remixes to a legal and official release! It took over 25 years, but they can finally be bought...

Re mastered for 2014 from Oscar Gaetan & Ralph Falcon's original Murk DAT's for 2014. Fantastic re issue of these legendary producers early catalogue from 1992. Containing all the original versions and dub's. These will sound better than anything on discogs.

Long journeyed, trippy, consistent, sub-driven, percussive, harmonized, techy & dubbed out - but first & foremost clubby A-side.

The B-side's reconstruction keeps the 3-dimensional solo, stabs and pads but dwells on tribal percussions in and out of the mix before going into stepper mode towards the epic & rhythmic final minutes.

Crafty techno w/ a nautical metalic sound sphere

FIRST TIME OFFICIAL REISSUE 30 YEARS AFTER THE ORIGINAL 1992 RELEASE

Wax Your Cracks presents its first release featuring the legendary Mystic Bill who transcends genres blending a mix of Italo disco, house, techno and acid into two mind-bending tracks that are as up-lifting as psychedelic. Limited to 400 copies. Vinyl only.

Up next in our main series are Milan-based dub techno outfit Primal Code. With a solid back catalogue comprising releases for Hypnus Records, TGP and Konstrukt, the Italian duo have honed their skills to impressive effect over the last few years, forging a sound signature thoroughly engaging on both body and cerebral levels, and now punching in on KOC to breathe further hard-hitting opaque heat into the collection.

Putting things into gear, “AI Calculator” propels us across dim-lit streetscapes and murky subterranean entrails, pared-down to a minimal array of modular signals, subtle machine inflections and particularly acute rhythmic progression. Steering the original into further pumped-up, DJ-friendly territories, NAFF affiliate Priori, hot on heels from his sophomore album, drops the hammer badman style, bringing forth the racing muscular bass and squelchy machine talk on loop mode to keep everyone on their toes from start to finish.

Flexing a different kind of acidic swagger, “Autopilot” pulls out the weird extra-terrestrial jazz tropes and whirling dynamics for a round of proper otherworldly bop in the outer-space. Last but not least, “Mainframe” rounds off the release on a more openly experimental note, letting the loops, envelopes and textures float in a haze of half-controlled abstraction. The result evokes something of an immunocompromised Rubber Johnny getting glazed as he weightlessly drifts off from a galaxy to another, and into another world completely.

S.O.N.S is back with the last instalment of the "T.O.K.Y.O" series. This time it is a double 12" called Shin-Okubo One Night Stand. This record is made to be played using a turntable at home, at your friend's birthday party or at your uncle's wedding. Club use is possible too but no refund will be granted if you clear the floor.

Marguerita marks the next stage of Cosmic Force's recalibration and he's rolling deep with kindred spirits such as fellow Dutchman Sjamsoedin who has the honour of re-launching the label and does so in fine style; 'Research' comprises five pieces of uncompromised electro, often fractured with necksnap technoid breaks and laced with infectious acid, they rekindle Marguerita's spicy kick and full-flavoured taste for experimentalism.

Hot off his debut 2xlp for L.I.E.S. young music prodigy Tom Carruthers delivers a new 6 track lp of total Transmat worship. Jam packed with huge DX basslines, slamming 909s, and catchy melodies - this lp is made for the floor and would be hard pressed not to be thought of as a lost relic from '89. Where as his last LP channeled more bleep elements, this one goes right to Detroit and moves the crowd as it should be...anthem after anthem.

Freaks Frequency is the sort after analogs classic that was original released on Colin Dale’s Abstrakt Dance label in 1998. Its an essential purchase for any electronic music lover.

All tracks were recorded live without the use of computer - Transparent Sound show their raw and minimal side of electro on this EP, and call up legends ECTOMORPH to remix as well.

Grab this while you can… Classic!!!

Red Vinyl

Get ready for Entourage Concept's upcoming release by Argentinian artist Volpe, including a remix by the Berlin based underground legend Stojche. You’ll find only timeless dub grooves on this EP paired with rhythmic beats and mesmerizing chords. Don't miss out on this limited vinyl only release

Spanish techno artist Aiken is back on his own Timeline label with another EP that offers up four more of his evocative takes on the genre. It comes after previous outings on Non Series and Semantica and is his label s first release since 2016.

Basic Principles is up first and mesmerises with a pulsing lead synth line that forever changes shape. Pummelling drums power along below and add up to a disorientating and hypnotic overall effect. Theory is deeper and more rubbery, with manic synths and pads all racing along and pilling on the pressure while Midline is right out fo the Jeff Mills playbook with its molten sci-fi synths journeying through outer space. Clean, crips drums are upright and taught and get you on your toes, then Restriction closes things out in superb minimalist fashion. This EP covers plenty of ground, and all of it is utterly compelling.

The Detroit Party Train brings you more Detroit In Effect Classics Remastered for 2019.

François X returns to DRH for his second record, he is currently busy djing in Paris at the Demented parties (where he recently played alongside Moritz Von Oswald, and soon will open up for Sandwell District and Surgeon).

De Lichting shines their light on one of their core members, Human Space Machine. The Amsterdam centred collective known for their forward-thinking live sessions and highly praised compilation series now presents the third edition in their run of solo projects. Human Space Machine appeared on all its label compilations before and is a frequent guest on Indigo Aera's AEX series, now he steps forward with his first full solo EP since 2018's Ornithogallum EP on Native Response.

Over the course of three tracks, HSM explores the rich territories in between moody breakbeats, mesmerizing percussion riffs and drifting house. Its a well-varied collection capturing a wide range of moods that makes this a well-deserved and right on time solo outing from a producer that shows his true musical diversity.

Eastside Edits is back again with a man that needs no introduction! Having released some of our favorite music on too many labels to name, we’re beyond excited to have the Edit King himself, Jim Sharp, on Eastside Edits 004!

Side A) Side A is a modern take on a timeless Motown Classic! With catchy vocals, heavy-hitting drums and a stellar groove, this edit is a sure shot floor filler that will have every DJ lining up for doubles!

Side B) On the flip side is another familiar feel-good edit, but this time bringing back that Classic 90’s RnB vibe! This catchy soulful cut is guaranteed to have the dance floor movin’ and groovin’! It’s just the perfect complement to Side A, rounding out this exceptional Jim Sharp release!

Jump Source release their second record on in-house imprint JS with their heaviest endeavour yet. Four dense cuts for whatever time you find yourself in. Made in Montreal, delivered to The World.

Originally released in 1993 on the legendary Interactive Test, Man Myth Magic’s ‘Different Places (Velasquez Stage)’ gets a well-needed reissue in addition to two new unreleased mixes. Don’t sleep!

Some things get better with age, something that Spanish label Curated By Time are all too familiar with.

Take Mark Ambrose’s Dream Mode, a 1997 treat that will soon be re-released on the Barcelona-based imprint. Twenty-five years after its initial inception, it feels as forward-thinking today as it did back then.

Take the title track for instance, a soothing, electronic-fuelled cut that pulses with wholesome synths throughout. Or the gritty tones of Colonel’s Measure, raw and unapologetic, that features a foundation of thick, hard-hitting percussion. Then there’s Redial: hypnotic, dance-inducing musical goodness to end proceedings in style.

Are you ready to be where metaphysical borders with the dark Check the bag: water, food, flashlight, gloves, something else Go along with Mr. Cloudy in the outskirts, where every rustle to take into attention, where the barking of dogs like a beacon in the night. Sparkling from the frost luminous ice, or raw cold, with the smells of leaves and rain out all night. Mr. Cloudy - Outskirts on Skala Records, heavy ambient / drone, dub techno.

Recondite returns to his Plangent label in January 2022 with a hugely personal seventh studio album, Taum.
The 11 expansive tracks were written between his Berlin home and the Lower Bavaria hinterland of his youth. In capturing the array of emotions, he was feeling during the pandemic and mixing up both pastoral and urban influences, the album is his most diverse to date. It takes in classic Recondite tracks that are deep, melodic and meditative as well more edgy, darker beats inspired by his lifelong love of hip hop,
grime and trap.
With Taum, Recondite takes his signature sounds further than ever before.

Michael "Adonis" Smith is a name that garners respect from fans of House and Techno across the world. Many of his productions are classics and "Freedom" by his short lived collaborative project The Children is one such record. A deep, otherworldly and almost sinister piece of Chicago House that features the conversational spoken word talents of Jamie Christopher who tells a mysterious robotic voice "Freedom... That's what life's about" over a driving, acidic backdrop of clicking drum machines and descending synthesizer pads.

Originally released in 1987 "Freedom" boasts 4 different mixes, all retaining that slamming Adonis vibe and trademark sound.
"Freedom" has been re-mastered, re-pressed and re-issued with original label artwork for the first time in conjunction with DJ International / Rocky Jones.

"Wake Up, Look Around You"

Comes with a risoprint as cover, limited to 150 copies.

Umwelt knows his craft. From no-nonsense acid-drenched electro assaults to more thought-provoking works, the Frenchman can shred speakers as well as soothe souls. The two sides of the New Flesh boss' sound combine as he returns to Shipwrec with the five tracks of Collapsar.

In the epic Galactic Empire, beats are lashed with punishing acid rinses as a bold cinematic backdrop takes form. Collapsar maintains the grandeur, broad expansive chords stretching above a plain of tight percussion.

A frigid stuttering synthline introduces Reflectivity, a line that breaks into a horizon-searching melody punctuated by crisp rhythms and arcing keys. The immersive quality of Umwelt comes to the fore in the sweeping soundtrack of Redemption Ark. That calm is cracked wide open with the frenetic finale; Day Zero incises from the outset, drums cutting into bulwark of bass before a barrage of keys attack.

The continued rise of Alan Fitzpatrick is the biggest story in UK techno right now. Having enjoyed a rapid ascent since his emergence as the new kid on the techno block in the latter half of 2009, Fitzpatrick now enjoys a status as a highly respected and in-demand producer. By releasing his debut album for Adam Beyer's globally renowned Drumcode label, Alan became the first act to record an album on Drumcode since 2005. The well-received 'Shadows In The Dark' long-player marked the culmination of a run of productions that saw Fitzpatrick publically name-checked as a one of the most exciting producers in techno by Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Len Faki and being awarded a BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune for his anthemic Reflections single on Bedrock. 2011 will see Alan evolve an already impressive production CV via collaborations with Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch and Joseph Capriati as well as remixes of Mark Broom, Funk D'Void and Alex Bau.
It has been Alan's partnership with Adam Beyer's Drumcode label that has produced his most significant work to date; releasing three chart topping EP's (Static, Face Of Rejection, Insurgent Series) on the label in addition to his 'Shadows In The Dark' LP and being one of a select handful of producers invited to remix Beyer's classic Remainings III. Elsewhere, Fitzpatrick's studio services have been recruited by the likes of John Digweed & Nick Muir, Slam, Joey Beltram, John Digweed, Dustin Zahn & Joel Mull and Pascal Mollin. Indeed, such has been Fitzpatrick's dominance of the techno scene in the last eighteen months that his productions have regularly filled the top positions of Beatport's techno Top 100 chart at the same time.

The same unstoppable momentum has come to characterize Alan's style of techno; powering demand for his music worldwide, and filling his gig diary with weekends spent touring all over Europe as he completes the transition from being a highly regarded newcomer to a bonafide member of techno's producer vanguard. Focusing on his trademark sound of tough, hooky grooves and incendiary beats, An intuitive and dynamic exponent with Native Instrument's Traktor software, his big-room techno sound has seen him draw crowds in Germany (Berghain, Cocoon, U60311, Maria Ostbahnof), France (Rex, Inox, Le 25, S'Kandalo) The Netherlands (Awakenings, Paradiso, Catwalk, Doornroosje, Poema), UK (Fabric, The Arches) Italy (Old River Park, Rasmonan), Switzerland (La Zoo, D-Club, Das Schiff) and Eastern Europe (Kiwi Lithuania, Forsage Ukraine) plus key festivals like Kazantip Ukraine, Streetparade Zurich, SW4 London, Boom Portugal and Sziget Hungary.

Already well passed the landmark of 25 releases, Alan Fitzpatrick's 8 Sided Dice Recordings label keeps on pushing forward as one of the most exciting new techno labels to emerge in recent times. Established as both an attractive home to high profile artists and a outlet for emerging talent the labels output continues to strike a balance between original tracks and remixes from Alan himself, as well as featuring productions from Cari Lekebusch, Slam, Heiko Laux, Gene Le Fosse, Dustin Zahn, Sasha Caressi, Harvey McKay, Nicole Moudaber, Rich Jones, and Chris Colburn.

A name that keeps bubbling up from the current UK industrial techno scene, Conrad Pack . . . .he's packing some fire on this one. No messing about. TIP!

Urwaxx returns with a long awaited second vinyl from Greenwald.
Inside 5 tracks showing exploration of electro and breaks music.
“Is What I Like” represents a reflection of his own vision of these styles.

Jan Vervloet and DJ Ghost head up our next vinyl release with the sexy, Techno fuelled Damn Hot, which is joined by the previously released and first time on vinyl, Super Dry. Jan is a well-known name on the Belgian music scene and really needs no introduction. As a producer he has released more than 150 tracks worldwide including a gold record with Fiocco in Belgium and a number 1 hit in Holland with Scoop. Jan has been a part of so many groups and with lots of his own productions he has appeared on countless compilation albums and has featured on most of Bonzai's own compiled series. He recently delivered a blistering remake of Here’s Johnny alongside DJ Liberty, championing the nu rave era in style. DJ Ghost aka Bjorn Wendelen is another extremely popular Belgian artist with a career spanning decades. He has been the driving force behind several very successful projects such as Armani & Ghost and many others and he’s a longstanding associate of the mighty Bonzai parties and studios, having produced many tracks under the Bonzai imprint alongside the crème-de-la-crème of Europe’s artists.

Damn Hot comes in two flavours, on the A side we have a rip-roaring dancefloor destroyer, filled with pounding beats, industrialised synths and razor-sharp percussions. The track builds and builds to the break, where a wall of sound rises to a frenzied climax with a mighty drop. The Old Skool Mix takes us right back to the good old days of hard edged, pumping rave. Monstrous kicks get things moving as rhythmic percussions are let loose. Classic rave-style stabs and hoover synths form the backbone of the track and are joined by cool vocal shots. The break descends to almost subtle tones before that raucous synth line returns, leading us to another massive drop. Two outstanding cuts that will destroy any floor. Concluding the release, we have Super Dry, which gets a cut to wax after a successful digital release. Getting the pulses racing right from the get go, feisty kick drums and spritely percussions set the tempo. The famous Ironside siren hook grabs attention as huge rave stabs greets us on the main groove. A proper stomping, high-tempo techno pumper that will not disappoint.

"There are many ways to imagine the future. One might be to look back in the past to see what has similarities to what we are seeing today. Another way might be to invent and build a time machine to jettison ahead in time to get a glimpse. And, one way might be to use our natural senses to feel what the future might be like. Though all are intriguing to explore, this album is about the latter option.

We are a species of human animals and we are guided by the ways of "knowing" from feeling; by the ways of intuition, premonitions and sensing. Each one of us are born with this special tool set that tells us when the time is right, when enough is enough and when there may be more or less to it. It has been these skills that has allowed humanity to survive and flourish for thousands of years. It is also safe to say that we do not know all there is to know about this skill.

A Clairvoyant is a person who claims to have a supernatural ability to perceive events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact. 100 years around 1920, a person with such abilities that could summon, speak to the decease and spirits were in high demand due to post World War I battle casualties, the Spanish Flu virus pandemic of 1918, the social and civil unrest and many more events that made uncertainty the norm. Ironically, the we were doomed to repeat some of these events and what we're experiencing today. The general impression of Clairvoyant was that of a conductor of faux hope, scam artist that preys on grief and desperation or someone that believes in their natural ability a bit too much! In many cases, this might have credit, but also, it was this person, with this way of supposedly channeling the beyond that gave people hope, optimism, resolve and much needed closure.

The album plays in the way of a metaphysical seance and should be listened to in a darkened, candle lit room. A silent space, free of outside noise, chatter or talking and other visual distractions. The album should be listened in full - from beginning to end".

- Jeff Mills

LGR015 sees Locked Groove teaming up with Gacha Bakradze for “3 Variations Sur Un Thème”.

After linking up online in 2020, Gacha and Tim decided to join forces and make something they believe is truly special.

Gacha Bakradze hails from Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. He has deservedly earned plaudits after releases on Apollo, Cin Cin, Die Orakel, Fever AM and Lapsus. Gacha regularly redefines his musical ideology; always bestowing it with mood based authenticity and excitement through rhythms and harmonies.

Just like Locked Groove, his musical output is diverse and always evolving, which makes them great collaborators.

Like the EP title suggests, the 3 tracks are loosely based on the same theme but explore different sonic landscapes.

Variation 1 opens the EP with skittish percussion and melodies weaving in and out. Variation 2 pushes the tempo to 150+ BPM with synth sounds reminiscing of rave years gone by. Variation 3 dials things back and provides a more subdued yet euphoric addition to the EP.

For the remix they’ve enlisted Deniro. The Dutch producer, known for his precise use of melody and rhythm delivers a soulful and timeless rendition of Variation 1.

The EP is due 10 June on all digital platforms and will also be available on vinyl from 20th May.

The deadly Spanish duo NX1 make their debut on Earwiggle with four sledgehammer statements of intent, on the simply titled "EW" EP. Raging bull techno is distilled through a variety of ingredients - distorted kicks, broken rhythms and carefully-edited grating synth sounds - mixed with a range of sinister acid lines and otherworldly atmospheres. For all types of spaces and occasions, pick your weapon (from EW 1-4) and get ready to dominate.

Another great EP from the 3 boys from Sweden, the Blotnik Brothers. Strong percussive big room electro, thick melodies and perfectly-timed arrangements are the mark of their second EP. Kraftwerk on steroids!

REPRESSED !!
