Höga Nord Rekords kindly welcomes Teecwa back to the label, following up his last full length-album “Beyond the Altai” with “Elysian on Moon Lake”. He is still exploring the intersections between house, electro, techno and dub and once again he manages to harness the analogue electronics in his machines to produce modern psychedelia.

“Elysian On Moon Lake” is rawer, less airy and not as sparkling as his last album. This is a tighter, and slightly darker experience than Teecwa’s previous work, maybe caused by being in quarantine for extensive time during production, letting some of the dreaminess aside for the harsher reality in a pandemic world. Still, you get a mind-altering experience in a lot of tracks since the album starts off in a lighter tone than how it later develops. Switching from the A- to the B-side works as a rite of passage going from dusk to night; the sun rays through the blinders are replaced by neon light dancing on the walls and ceiling.

Regarding the dramaturgy of “Elysian On Moon Lake”, this album has movielike qualities; a well-directed piece from the opening impact and setup through the confrontational part where intensity builds up to the climax in “Hythmdoser” to the cooling down effect of the peaceful closer “Celestial Trails”. The trip eventually ends up in a safe and happy place after the cathartic finale.

This is not a just collection of songs, this is an album made to experience in full length without interruptions.

For their 4th release LDI Records present the debut solo EP from Texan electro producer Terrestrial Access Network - Distant Lands. The release is drawn from the artist's shifting and hectic nomadic existence around the rattling expanse of the United States presenting 5 original cerebral electro tracks, backed up with a spooked out remix from Delsin Records' Versalife aka Conforce. Based in Austin, Texas, a city famous for its hyper-vibrant creative musical scene, Terrestrial Access Network feeds from the energy of this environment just as much as the desert that surrounds it. His day to day life involves travelling for near constant work projects - spending days and weeks away from home in what is a hectic lifestyle. In the feelings he channels when writing Distant Lands - he is pulled back towards the energy of the serene and calm landscape while on the road dealing with an unsettled nature of life and his profession. Terrestrial Access Network began releasing music as recently as 2019 with tracks picked up for compilations on Swiss label Dionysian Mysteries. With a sound that is expert at creating powerfully immersive heads down moments for the dancefloor TAN has driven this EP with an ever present and intoxicating mechanical funk.

Here though we see the focus on the core family as well as some new additions, celebrating the artists involved over the past five years and looking towards the future with some fresh, hotly tipped acts. This project also sees a new design concept for the imprint from London’s David Surman’s painting installation project ‘Paintings For The Cat Dimension’ which ‘’explores the motif of the cat as emblematic of internet aesthetics, a place where all painting styles and modes now exist non-hierarchically as pure information.’’

Under the moniker Hviledag, Anton Friisgaard works with his electro-acoustic ambient music. His compositions mixes impressions of analogue, digital and acoustic sound sources, and recorded and archived phrases are designed and altered digitally to create enclosing soundscape-collages. The music focuses on perishability and change as well as the realization of these through presence and time.

As his first full-length release, Hviledag has created the piece ‘Over Mellem Under’. The album is built up from archival recordings and ideas, which has been given new life through post-production, recontextualization and timbral manipulation. The musical expression moves from an eternally reflective tone, which spans from the dark and gloomy to the melancholically beautiful and thoughtful, which in parallel both fantasizes and remembers. In an insisting exploration of slowness, with fragmented and unexpected acoustical elements manipulated and woven together by electronic soundscapes, the album appears as musical still lifes, which can effortlessly slide in the background whilst simultaneously setting expectations of its listener.

'Over Mellem Under' is the first release from Danish label A Quiet Room Recording, and the album sees the light of day on September 4th on limited edition vinyl and on all streaming services.

'Interreality' holds a mixture of glacial atmospheres and a warm flowing undercurrent, gently moving and evolving... The floating dub chords and driving bass line ride along stripped back, hypnotising house rhythms throughout this dreamy tale.

Today, multi-award winning British-Japanese polymath Maya Jane Coles releases her eagerly-anticipated fifth studio album, Night Creature, via I/AM/ME.

Night Creature is the antidote to our collective recent experience, a slipstream into the alluring world that comes to life after dark. The album includes previously released singles ‘Got Me’ featuring Australian multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Julia Stone on vocals in an incredible first collaboration from the pair, as well as ‘Run To You’ and ‘True Love To The Grave’ both featuring Claudia Kane, which were brought together in an epic queer gothic female assassin short film across two music videos.

Written, produced, engineered, mixed and performed by Maya, Night Creature features a stellar line up of international guests alongside Julia Stone & Claudia Kane, including Berlin-based Lie Ning on ‘Hypnotised’ and Swedish-Norwegian Karin Park on ‘Light’.

On the album, Maya shared: “When it comes to my music making, I’ve pretty much always been a creature of the night. My creativity tends to work at its best during those peaceful hours when my surroundings are at a standstill and I feel completely in my own world. Then on the flip side, in the club, the night can shift into some of the most energetic and ecstatic moments in time. For me, Night Creature interweaves those moments, crossing over dark to light, melancholic to energetic, my favourite kind of music to make. The incredible guest vocalists totally elevate my music to a new level on this record and I’ve spent more time on it than any release I’ve ever worked on so I’m extremely excited to finally be able to share it with the world and hope that you all like it as much as I do! <3 Maya x”

Metropolitan Soul Museum are Nick Woolfson and Filippo Rocco. The UK based duo have storied history as individuals; Nick having been half of legendary Mock & Toof and later on running the iconic Teng record label. Filippo, also with significant history at Teng and a former drummer, now focussing on MSM and related avenues.

Based in the heart of Barcelona, Baldo’s Physical Education imprint continues its stellar run-of-form this autumn, delving deep into the archives with the re-issue of Moondog’s obscure 1997 classic: Vegas Or Burst EP.

A welcome selection of vintage dancefloor cuts, the four-track release epitomises the late-nineties sound through and through. From the fast-paced tones of Doyuu, to the devilishly danceable Fever, this rare gem is a masterclass in glitchy, tech-driven house music.

Here comes the second chapter of our limited Pattern Series. Oscar Mulero delivers three tracks of precise techno, deep and elaborated.

"Balance and Acceleration" runs at medium tempos with a scientific sequence as absolute protagonist, spiced with shuffled hi hats, subtle kick drum and a linear but evolving structure.

"Pain" has a more liquid approach in the beginning, low-pass filtered bass, bright percussions and a subterranean sequence that grows along white-noise lines in a constantly changing arrangement.

"Kinesthetic Science" goes through similar parameters: flanged sequences, filtered drums and an overall electric feeling.

Phocean Drive’s highly sought after ‘Smile’ EP resurfaces with a full reissue for the debut venture on Sex Tapes From Mars new reissue imprint. Three esoteric yet funked up club-ready cuts that perforate the heart with euphoric, twigged out madness to rumble the more leftfield dance floors.

The full sonics were taken from original DAT and remastered at Analogcut, making for a full-bodied sound palette, and losing nothing from the original masterwork.

The title track ‘Smile’ epitomises a golden era of Dutch progressive house, pairing sparse, titillating synth stabs, bionic vocoders and purposeful, grooving bass.

On the flip, Dingalong heads for the basement, with an unabating acid line and steady, thumping drum work. It flaunts its subtle abstractions, coyly tripping while serving relentless energy.

Ding Dang is a moody rework of its forerunning track, conjuring 7 am ambience through lush, gradually contorting pads and slick, sultry vocals. The shiny allure of galactic synth tones cooly rounds off a deeply mesmerising three-tracker on an intriguing new label series.

UK Electro legend Transparent Sound return with a long overdue reissue of the timeless classic Meltdown Ride - this was Transparent Sound very first release way back in 1995 Orson Bramley and Martin Brown displays there unique and versatile take on Electro from day one. This EP draws influences from Early electro legends from around the world that we all know and love. Pure Classic.

Vertical67 aka Thomas Pahl joins eudemonia with his new EP ‘The Early Hours’. During the past years the versatile producer and co-owner of Vortex Tracks has released a great amount of records on well-respected labels like 100% Silk, Lunar Disko Records and Mechatronica. Leeds twosome Soul Mass Transit System have been one of the success stories of the last 18 months, with their bass-heavy blends of UK dance music styles old and new gracing such labels as Timeisnow, Warehouse Rave and Dr Banana. Their latest EP, the pair's second outing on Instinct, is another strong offering. They begin with the seductive, sub-powered two-step revivalism of '1 ofa Kind', before reaching for darker sonic textures, serious wobble bass and echoing ragga snippets on 'Extremely Dangerous'. 'Never Turn My Back' is a pleasingly bouncy chunk of bassline-influenced two-step heat, while 'Turn The Lights Down' ratchets up the low-end pressure while showcasing chiming melodies and ultra-dreamy pads. High-grade garage business that should be an essential for anyone who loves two-step.

For their third release SAISEI present a reissue of highly respected Japanese producer Suzukiski’s 1993 debut album Thought LP.

The full 12 tracks from the original release will be released on vinyl for the first time - with the majority of tracks exclusively re-edited for vinyl extended play.

Takahiro Suzuki is hugely prolific within Japanese electronic music culture yet has remained under the radar despite releasing over 9 albums between 1993 and 2006. Thought was his debut long player and is a perfect example of his minimal and poised approach to production. Across the 12 tracks he shows off his aptitude for creating delicate yet effective house and techno, referencing the Detroit sound that was eminanating and revolutionaising electronic music at the time. For sleeve notes of the release Suzukiski lent this quote, speaking of the Detroit influence “These artists created these simple and minimal tracks that were so beautiful and gave me joy, yet I’d never seen their faces before.”

Based on a solid groove and created on the limited hardware setups which were key to the time of its creation, the album carries all the charm of minimal all hardware made music. The result is a timeless collection of tracks that show a serious commitment to refined sound with a joyous and carefree uplifting feeling.

SAISEI - run by London based, Japan born DJ Junki Inoue continues to unearth and present vital and special recordings from the 90s era of Japanese electronic music production. In this case Thought was first self released by the artist as a private CD that was literally delivered hand to hand or by post until it was licensed by Soup Disk licenced the music in 2003 and received a wider CD release with some export outside of Japan.

The double pack vinyl package is accompanied by two sets of liner notes by Rei Harakami and Soup Disk label owner Masaaki Hara written for Soup Disk’s 2003 reissue with a English translations and will be released in October 2021.

Retrospect vol. 6 - Reshaping the 70s, 80s, & 90s with the sounds of now.

The day has come to finally release the very first vinyl record of Autonome, including 4 killer tracks by already established and promising upcoming talents.

On the A-side, Hiss aka Rove Ranger strikes first with a floating, hypnotic journey full of tension and rhythm. Right after, Cirkle provides an old-school reminiscent, raw driving weapon, embodying the pure techno fundamentals.

The B-side welcomes a longstanding pillar of the scene, who pushes the boundaries of music and support as no one before him. Setaoc Mass gladly contributed with one of his signature mechanical club lesson.

Yant wraps it up with his trademark storm of soundscapes and rumbling drums. Definitely one of the strongest rising artist of the past years that brilliantly concludes the V/A.

Perc Trax is proud to announce the debut release on the label by Ansome following his successful releases on Mord, No Logo Music and his own South London Analogue material imprint. Across these four tracks Ansome showcases some of his most extreme material to date, serving up a twitching metallic sound that fuses energy with intricacy.

A hardware fanatic, but by no means an analogue purist, Ansome grabs the full frequency of sound available to him and twists it into a unique and personal take on industrial techno, redefining both the London techno sound and the way techno can be presented in a live context.

Once again the artwork is a collaboration between the EP artist and Perc Trax's resident designer Jonny Costello, but this time Perc Trax also calls upon the talents of London tattoo artist Liam Sparkes. Together the three of them have created a sleeve that perfectly visualises Ansome's perception of his music.

For the ninth release in their main label series Haven are proud to be inviting German production duo New Frames for their first full EP on the label, following on from the release of "Scatter" on Haven's first VA compilation - easily one of 2019's biggest tracks with support across the board.

The A1 launches the record with the apocalyptic "Eine Andere Welt" - a true peak-time smasher showcasing the duo's production capability, with epic rave synth work, pounding drums, and crunchy sound design already proving to move international dance floors. This is followed by "Stylized Fear" on the A2, utilising broken drum patters, perilous vocal chants and threatening atmospheres in a hectic roller. The flip is kicked off with "The End Of It All" on the B1 bringing things back to slamming 4-4 territory - where ominous and powerful synth design, stomping drum rhythms, and a DnB-inspired breakdown provide another soundtrack to club madness in the duo's discography. Finally the B2 closes the record with an enormous Perc remix of the A1 tune, finishing with another potent piece of dance floor fodder from Haven.

One of the high rising artist of the romanian electronic scene, a seasoned minimal techno producer — Cally, adds his remarkable contribution to the Windmühle roster.

Choo Sing EP features two wholesome cuts that will cater to a broad spectrum of DJ’s and varying times of day and night.
Choo Sign is a more atmospheric piece, with a rich and carefully executed melodic soundscape. While being airy and moderate on the low end, Cally’s meticulous approach to syncopation and drum programming provides for a dance floor-ready track, most suitable for afterparties.

Lenny, on the other hand, is energizing and entrancing. In this cut, Cally chooses to opt for a host of percussive elements and a healthy amount of swing to ensure a dynamic and spirited tune. Furthermore, Lenny’s seamless but rich bass line beefs up the overall mood, making it a perfect choice for the party’s apogee.
