“I met Nando (Signal Kommt) in 2003 or so. I was resident at the fabled Milenio Club in Montevideo – the birthplace for a generation of friends and DJs. I’d see Nando there at the weekends, then during the week we would hang out at a local record shop, and over time we
forged a beautiful friendship. That era was amazing! We were crazy about UK tech house and breakbeat and we also dug a lot of US and French sounds: Siesta, Tango, Robsoul, Brett Johnson, David Duriez... But you would always hear different styles. Even with the minimal explosion there were other places where you could hear deep house through to drum n bass. In Uruguay the public is very open and curious about all sounds, old and new, and they do their research.
I see myself more as a guide than a teacher. I’ve been around since the beginning and I love sharing my knowledge to help others. When it comes to technique, many years of experience have taught me one critical lesson: each DJ has to discover their own path as much as possible. This is especially true in South America where it’s hard to get hold of music. We really have to be creative so we don’t all sound the same!”

- DJ Koolt, May 2020
This Basic Moves 2x12” by Signal Kommt is the humble result of a love for sharing, patience and pure dedication to underground club culture. Thanks to Nando, Stefan, Koolt, Ailsa, Joe and Jakob. One circle!

Para One presents " Sundial ", the third extract from his new album SPECTRE: Machines of Loving Grace. After " Shin Sekai " and its commanding choir and drums, the chilling skies of " Alpes ", the producer points his arrow towards the heart. The track goes only up, from its hopeful arpeggio, a melodic bassline building higher floors, towering with layers of direct yet fine drawn synth chords. " Sundial " is wide and intimate, nostalgic, and confident at the same time.

The " Sundial " EP offers 3 remixes. Hot Chip draw first with a dance floor ready version, adding their own signature riffs and textures to the original canvas. The " Nodandanintheokotantan Mix " by England born / Berlin based Call Super chooses a playful replaying of the whole piece, changed into an array of micro percussions, reshaping the main melody from bits and pieces, until a plain piano enters the frame. Finally, Para One himself reworks " Sundial " and reveals even more the versatility of the original track, remodeling it into a manifest to dance, elastic beats and house music stabs in hand.

James Greenwood returns with Semi-Skimmed Edits 003.

2 uptempo edits exploring the sound of London & Chicago in 1980 & 1981.

Number 13 is at the center of many superstitions, some consider it to bring bad luck. We at Rave Or Die believe instead that number 13 always delivers happiness, success and even ecstasy to the mass. In particular when it gathers altogether two heavyweights from the dance music culture on the label's thirteenth release.

On the A-side we find Self Reflektion boss stranger in an acidic distorted exercise, injecting on "Motief" the perfect balance between pounding techno beats a la 90's Axis release and Woody McBride 303 loops and a little "je ne sais quoi" to make you jump on the dancefloor.

On the flipside, ROD mastermind fates the heavy artillery with "Shut Up And Dance", a nod to the now defunct and eponymous mythic Rave London label. Distorted yet irresistible electro techno tones characterize this pure ravey anthem calibered for spacious warehouse with a generous sound system.

Raw techno tracks all the way from two masters of the genre!

It might come as a surprise, but the „Boot and Heel EP“ might be the first Tiger & Woods product that could be called unashamedly Italo disco. Think Den Harrow and old school CBS radio programming rather than the Italian boogie side of things that used to be the prevalent influence in the Roman’s studio work. Here we go with four tracks that are sharp as knives. Beautifully crafted, perfectly arranged and smitten with the charm of positivity, it’s the perfect soundtrack to the fading summer and next year’s hedonistic club season. Always remember: you gotta change to stay the same.

Analog Concept returns with their 3rd entry, "Bay of Thoughts” a 6 track split EP from Aquatronics (Fundamental Records, Magnonic Signals) and MSRG (Between Places, Heretic Electro). "Bay of Thoughts" EP takes the listener on a deep dive through the sonic imaginations of Aquatronics and MSRG, expertly spanning both ominous and colorful hues of Electro. It's all complete with beautiful artwork from Abu Qadim Haqq for a submersive journey into Drexciyan and Aquatic themed Electro.

Oscar Mulero is back home with this intense four tracker, giving a twist to his sound, running into harsher territories, using distortion wisely, going uptempo and focusing directly on those dancing.

"Unveiling of Reality" opens with shuffled elements, obsessive sequences and punchy drum work, asymmetrical notes fight in the arrangement going back and forth, attacking every neuronal process.

"Out of Field" is pulsating and spacey, a few elements swinging together in a wise arrangement.

"Wandering Nowhere" returns to grey and granular terrain, distorted synth lines, super low bass workout, sharpened hats and percussions and darkness as leitmotiv.

"Unnoticed Absence" goes jazzy with unquantised elements, liquid filtered synths,a nd again shuffled beats. A few elements well seasoned to make an ideal mixing tool.

Stoilku is a Serbian DJ/producer that has been making waves in the minimal genre. In a matter of months he went from unknown, to having his music played by Petre Inspirescu and Priku. On this record he delivers 3 tracks full of character, each one with its own flavor.

For its first chapter, Monument Records is inviting Atomic Moog to take us around The Hesperian City.

With this EP, the French duo offers a polarized urban exploration that balances between cold, ethereal street vibes and hearty, powerful basement rhythms, with alternative paths provided by renowned figures Anthony Linell and Artefakt.

Hitting the pavement with a truly luminous and smooth deep-techno ride with "Chasing Blue", the record then takes the listener high with Anthony Linell's ambient chemistry and his extended "Alkaloid Mix". On the flip side, we dive underground with "Static Flow" to discover a solid, dancefloor-oriented techno hymn, before getting back to the light with Artefakt's absolutely gorgeous "Electric Therapy Version".

Formed by German prominent electro producer Boysnoize and French film director/electro producer Mr. Oizo (aka Quentin Dupieux), Handbraekes comes back with a brand EP, the third one since the mysterious episodic collaboration started in 2012. First time we heard one of their tracks being played out it immediately sparked our interest to find out who is behind the music. UC Beatz delivers his 'Nightzoom' EP via B2 Recordings this December, comprised of four originals from the Belgian artist. Brussels-based producer, DJ and label owner of Entrepôt Records, UC Beatz has carved out quite the reputation over the past decade and a half, dropping material on reputed imprints such as New York's Razor N Tape, Cinthie's Collective Cuts, Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon's The Classic Music Company amongst others. Here he joins the B2 Recordings roster with his latest collection of works and title-cut 'Nightzoom' leads, laying down organic drums, hypnotic chants and circling synth strings to create a subtly blooming, loop-led groove. 'Saraska' follows and strips things back to choppy acid bass, swinging 707 drums, vocal shots and an amalgamation of airy resonant keys. Opening the flip-side is 'The Girl Who Loved Flowers', employing classic deep house tropes with fluttery Rhodes chords, tension building strings, snaking bass and crunchy drums throughout. Lastly 'Stars Keep Shining' then rounds out the release, leaning towards a more jazzy house aesthetic courtesy of intricately nuanced key melodies, warm subs, shuffled drums and winding Moog like synth licks.
