Fabrizio Lapiana's Attic Music label reaches release number 20 on the main series with a new EP from the boss himself: Collective Chaos features remixes from fellow Italian techno luminaries Neel & Laertes.

Rome's Lapiana has been a vital voice in the global techno underground for more than 10 years now. His Attic Music label has played a key part in that, while his own evocative techno soundscapes have come on the likes of M_Rec ltd, Figure Jams, ARTS and Out-Er. This is his first outing of 2020 and is a superbly stylish techno trip.

Opener 'Crystal' is deep, drawn out techno with perfectly smooth and supple drum programming that soon gets you in a state of hypnosis. Subtle synth loops rise up through the mix as things grow more urgent, and once the percussion joins you're utterly locked. The title track is a more turbulent and edgy affair that sound tracks a dystopian urban wasteland - the synths are riddled with static, the hurried drums are punchy and there is an urgency in the molten synth lines that keeps you right on the edge of your seat.

Sound sculptor Neel runs Spazio Disponibile with collaborative partner Donato Dozzy and has an impeccable knack for sound design. Here he links with Laertes (half of Modern Heads with Dino Sabatini), a Mental Modern and Concrete Records associate who produces artful techno. Together, they remix 'Collective Chaos' into a dark and moody techno roller with glitchy textures and high speed synth lines that sweep you off your feet.

Closing out this terrific trip is 'Koyuk', a Millsian adventure into an intergalactic techno future, with polyphonic synths rippling above a rubbery drum line that is both propulsive and pensive.

This is high grade, perfectly distilled and meditative techno from some of Italy's finest exports.

The EP of Felix Bernhardt takes you on a journey to new dimensions. Its name „Passion Music“ fits perfectly as it is full of passion and love for music!
It covers a seemingly endless range of unique sounds from dark techno up to pumping minimal. After several brilliant releases on AFU, Italo Business, Der Hut, Snork and Microtonal Felix Bernhardt continues to impress at his premiere on Teja Music.
For good reason his tracks are now an inherent part of the live sets from techno icons such as Richie Hawtin or Stephan Bodzin.
In addition to that, Felix Bernhardt is an excellent live act himselft, who plays regularly at legendary techno festivals such as Nature One or Ruhr in Love.
This also reflects in his music as right from the start the listener is catapulted into a universe consisting of atmospheric sounds, thundering baselines and driving rhythms.
The second track “Show me how“ really lives up to his major theme departure as it is pushes foward relentlessly.
The central theme continues until the last track called “Where There“, which is the icing on the cake of an excellent EP. Check it out!

Ex-Voto is the first page in a new story, where French techno artist Nao Nhil looks inwards to find pools of sonic hypnosis. Taking inspiration from both techno and ambient music, Nao Nhil explores the outer reaches of contemporary, dancefloor expression, striking a delicate balance between body and mind. Contrasts between percussive roughness and slick execution, or between brooding darkness and beams of radiance, colour the sound and hold your gaze. The pristine techno construction of "Ex-Voto" tunnels deep into Nao Nhil's core, unearthing the roots from which the laser-cut drone of "Primal Atom" and the stepping kaleidoscope of "Psylle" were born.

We are thrilled to welcome a new artist to the Metamorphic roster and it is none other than Italian producer Nicolo Loporchio recording under his Nico Lahs moniker! The prolific Loporchio, hailing from Bari, is one of the most accomplished Italian producers out there with previous releases on Ovum, Poker Flat and Rawax to name a few. Following a five year hiatus during which he focused on his Cosmic Garden alias and started his own vinyl only label Cosmic Rhythm, he drops the Blow Your Mind EP on Metamorphic, 4 spaced out and atmospheric techno tracks that showcase his skills in the studio and match perfectly with the ethos of the label.

Stefan Theia is an integral part of the Berlin techno scene. For more than 15 years he stands for innovative and unique sound as well as high-quality productions.

His new EP distinguishes itself through a fascinating concept, where physics, natural phenomena and the connections in life take center stage.

Main themes such as energy and interactions in time and space are processed into music in a very impressive way.

The result is a real masterpiece consisting of five energetic tracks full of uplifting rhythms, hard beats and dynamic synthesizers.

The second track “Euphoria“ is so full of energy that it almost seems like it could remove all scientific regularities.

Theia manages to maintain a very high level throughout the whole EP. The connection between the vision of the artist and the single tracks can be easily recognized and are consistent. This makes “The theia“ an absolute must for all lovers of electronic music!

In addition to that, it is the basis for a large-scale series of upcoming productions, where Stefan Theia tries to give a musical answer to the question about the meaning of life.

The start is very promising and it will be very exciting to see what come next. We are already looking forward to the sequel!

Get Physical continues to tease the upcoming Body Language Vol 23 with an EP of standout tracks
from Cioz, the man who has put it all together.

Cioz is a wholly self-taught producer who has written his own rules. He is the man behind Knobs Bergamo, a community-based creative hub in Bergamo (Italy) where artists unite, collaborate, develop
ideas and create, and is a label regular who has also appeared on Monaberry and Einmusika. His
upcoming Body Language mix is a mouth-watering selection of red hot contemporary tracks from his
peers, as well as plenty of his own vital creations.

Two of the tracks on it and now appearing here were first released digitally back in 2018 as part of his
Lucky Man EP on Get Physical. They are 'Lucky Shot', an eight-minute deep house adventure with warm synths, and 'Cookie Man,' an equally epic eight-minute house masterclass that bubbles invitingly but never boils over, thus keeping you on edge throughout.

The other two tunes are brand new and exclusive and feature on the Body Language album. 'Rain' is a
liquid affair with nice loose synths and drums, plenty of melancholic synth emotions and a seductive
sense of groove. Finally, his remix of M.A.N.D.Y. vs Booka Shade's 'Body Language' brings some playful funk, evocative melody and live drums sounds to the iconic original.
These are four more high-class tracks from what promises to be another landmark Body Language

Unusual times, bring unusual records. So marks 'Hanabi' one of Desroi's most diaphanous works to date. After weaving through deluges of heaviness and penetrating synth lines we are promptly subjected to the ease and effortlessness of tracks such as the title track "Hanabi" or "Stripped From Light . Those tracks stress the fine line between bliss and darkness.

the second release of montreal based veteran producer guillaume&the coutu dumonts on mule musiq. the title track featuring dave aju is uplifting jazzy vocal house.groovy dance floor killer. “astronomie” on b1 is cosmic jazz fusion deep house and “grand signal” on b2 is classical jazz house which is remind us “once again by henrik schwarz and kuniyuki”… all of tracks were originally produced by his band project and he has reproduced for more dj tool version.

Following up 2020's Inner Call, Jeroen Search returns to Token with another serving of characteristically hypnotic purism. Aether draws on classic, tripping motifs designed for maximum drive.

Opener Nightshade kicks off proceedings with a stylish lead sequence. Dry and effective, the track makes the most of its limited components, opening up briefly for a considered breakdown before returning to the driving repetition that will come to define the record. Zero Day Exploit follows-another crisp, beautifully executed composition that bears all the hallmarks of a seasoned engineer. On the flip, title track Aether brings some extra swing to proceedings, with drum machine patterns building tension as the main riff twists over its run time. Closer Rejection Rate sees the record out, a dense peak time roller complete with elegant chord stabs.

Lilies label heads Sailor Juul and DJ Lily release their first collaborative EP, following up the pounding debut with their "Wellness" remix for Billie Jo on LILIES7. Four carefree, no holds barred, high-energy tracks to play for your bestie.

Insurrection vol l is the first various artists on Dstm Records. This edition hosts very talented young artists already known and supported in the world of techno. Aahan, Pier, Don Woezik, Lars Huismann & Casual Treatment release 4 works to turn the heads of the most passionate ravers.

Establishing the label further into the scene desroi003 follows up with 3 diverse tracks. The A-side delivers a peak-time track while B1 goes deeper and more hypnotic. To round this release off, B2 is an ambient-seeming techno track, with mellow pads and lush drum works.

Enjoy Nick Curly's first release in 2021 on his own imprint. Pure deep house class.

Fellow Frenchmen The Hacker and Commuter take their inspiration from the TV series, Chernobyl to create an imaginary soundtrack for their collaborative EP on Cultivated Electronics, which has already been on full throttle in 2021 with releases by DMX Krew, London Modular Alliance, Morphology and Maelstrom across both CE and sister label, CE Ltd. Cultivated Electronics isn't letting up any time soon, with this new EP from two major forces of the scene who should need no introduction, having between them released over the years on labels including Zone, Mannequin Records, Klakson, Dark Entries, Bass Agenda, Elektrofon and too many others to mention. Here they deliver three new punchy electro tracks that convey their love of vintage electronics and machine funk, but with a modern touch that will hit all the right notes for electro fans, with names like 'Roentgen' (a unit of measurement for the exposure of X-rays and gamma rays) and 'RBMK' (Chernobyl's nuclear power reactor). The EP includes the added treat of a remix by MMT-8, otherwise known as Ed Upton (DMX Krew) and label head Phil Bolland (Sync 24) who deliver an escalated reworking of 'RBMK'.

For me, it has never been a more important time to create and release music. When it feels like everything is crumbling down around me, nothing can hold me together and lift me up the way that making music can. Nothing can connect me with spirit and purpose the way that creating something from nothing does. Making music creates pathways for connection and community too. It may be harder and more rare for us to be together physically right now, but when we are listening to the same music, we are weaving an undeniable connection with each other. CORE SCENE is totally inspired by my 90’s roots - have a listen and tell me what you feel (Thomas Schumacher)

Early support from Petre Inspirescu & Mihigh.

Long time Knotweed and DMT supporter Mattias Fridlell approached us with some tracks he recently produced with his friend Alexander Johansson. We immediately knew that this was going to translate into a piece of wax. Expertly crafted, perfectly mixed, this is a beautiful excursion into deep hypnotic techno like no other.

With a huge Edit from Daniel Stefanik of the Butch Summer Hit No Worries and Johnny D. Power to the People Remix with live vocals by himself from his last Hit Love or Leave Me.

After releasing the ‘High Life' remixes just before summer and their more electronic EP on Aus Music, it’s time to get label heads Detroit Swindle back on Heist. They come in with full force, delivering a set of Swindle styled house tracks, accompanied by a jazzy remix by Volcov in his Isoul8 moniker with guest appearances by Kaidi Tatham on keys and Nigel Bennett on vocals.

The EP kicks off with ‘The life behind things’; a life affirming soulful house tune that’s cleverly built around a set of switching organ stabs. The energy in this track keeps on building with the filter slowly opening up while live percussion oozes its way through the track (courtesy of Mauskovic Dance Band member Chris Bruining). After a well working surprise acid break, the track breaks down into a jazzy organ solo by Byron the Aquarius, building up momentum till the full track comes back in for a ecstatic delivery of feel-good dancefloor emotions.

The second original of this ep is Detroit Swindle’s view on what a party-starting piano house track should sound like with ‘Music for clubs’. This track is all about rolling drums, lush piano stabs and possibly the funkiest baseline in four-to-the-floor house music. The latter two are made possible by the quick finger work of their live show collaborator and close friend Lorenz Rhode.

The full B side goes to Volcov’s remix of “The life behind things”. He takes his inspiration from the energy of the original and chooses to set a steady groove where the lush key work of Kaidi Tatham shines both on the chords and a muscle-flexing organ solo. The vocal sample from the original is accompanied by some great ad-libs by Nigel Bennett. With these elements working together in perfect harmony, you can practically feel the good vibes these 3 friends had when recording the remix.

It’s been on our to-do list for a while to record a full-on house record, and we hope this one does the trick for you as much as it does for us.

If you’d happen to be around town during ADE this year, you can get this record a week ahead of its worldwide release exclusively at our Pop up shop on Elandsgracht 55. Apart from the record, we’ll have a limited edition collaboration collection available with Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Baskèts, loads of DJ’s playing sets and you could also just come by for a drink or two.

Yours Sincerely, Maarten & Lars.

The new label 'Different Heads' is ready to start making dance floors move across the globe with 2 mysterious tracks which are groovy and timeless. DH001 try out some fresh material under some brand new aliases.

Deep, Detroit influenced techno.

It's been a while since we heard new tracks from legendary dj/producer Daniel Sanchez from Amsterdam. But the surprise was even bigger as his sound got more sophisticated than ever. Daniel knows how to let the groove roll so it was a super easy decision for Nick Curly & Gorge to give this a release a go on their imprint.

3 years after his last 8bit release Darius Syrossian is back on the label from Nick Curly & Gorge. 4 house slammers, right in time for the Ibiza season. Curious to know which track you prefer.

After a relatively long break Jaffa Surfa makes his return with a new release that is a bit more raw thus shifting the sound of Tape Hiss into the same direction. In comparison with his previous releases on labels like Bosconi Extra Virgin, All Inn Records and Houseworx he is making an effort to explore new territories with 'Psy Lance EP' while staying true to his trademark housey sound. Considering all the musical styles that Jaffa Surfa is taking inspiration from (from the soul/funk/disco trio, through all shades of house music and all the way up to techno) it doesn't come as a surprise to see him churning out productions in various styles even within one release. The rolling yet deep 'Psy Lance' complements the playful and trippy 'Bazz' nicely just as the beatless DJ-tool 'Preacha Bonus'.

Techno and acid excursions by the Chicago icon DJ Skull on the
new Elorf imprint. Incl special remixes by DJ Shufflemaster, Gari

The second wax on Nightflight Records contains tracks from Mystic Future (Yannick Robyns & Charlie Levan, Housewax) and Mariska Neerman (Planet E, Semantica). Derek Carr (Subwax excursions, Ferox, Craigie Knows…) shows his musical brilliantness by delivering two superb remixes. Mystic Future’s “Break The Cycle” starts with breaky beats and a trippy, deep pad building up the tension till the 4/4 beat and wobbling baseline kick in creating a dancefloor filler tune. Derek Carr proves that white men can funk: his remix of “Break The Cycle” will keep these asses moving with this hi-tech funk monster! Mariska Neerman’s “Organic Depths” shows that techno can be funky by mingling stomping beats with funky synth stabs. Derek Carr takes “Organic Depths” to a deeper level by reworking to an electrofunk killer track without losing touch with the original.

jacking techno tune on richie hawtin´s imprint !!!

The Double Portrait EP is Tobs' and LEMs story of descent rituals. Don't look in the mirrors left and right of you. Still, you need yourself. Flip the coin from time to time, be tender and never stop. Somebody deserves it.

So Gerd and Philipp were due to play XOYO one saturday night and the club is 6 minutes from my studio so I suggested we go there first to make tunes for a few hours. We made 2 songs that night and one of them is 'reach out'. Gerd did the drums on my 808, Philipp wrote the beautiful lead part on my OBXa and I did the bass in my cs80. I added the words a couple of weeks later, they are inspired by Leonard Cohen's letter to his muse Marianne Ihlen on her deathbed. (Joe Goddard)
Including fantastic remixes by Erol Alkan and Osborne.
