We are happy to present you this golden repress! DJ & producer I Hate Models takes care of the A-side with the irresistible "Requiem Of Desolation", a blessing dancefloor mash up of untouchable acid trance flights and old school sonorities. Very different from what we used to hear from this infamous and long time techno activist. This is what we call "Modern Rave".
On the flipside, ROD mastermind Umwelt unleashes bass and acidic tones on killing "Requiem Of Haunted Warehouse'. Haunting horrific melodies enhanced by hammering kicks turn the track into a monster dancefloor track.
Warning: Rave Anthem!

Remix time is good time. And good time is better time. Johannes dropping his latest remixes via the queen of medium, vinyl that is…. Benjamin Fröhlich's "Tivoli" gets a positive, summerish 4/4 disco re-treatment. A slight DJ edit of Kayroy's "Identification Unknown" features the beautiful voice of Miela to brighten up your day. Melbourne we salute you! On the flip Jay tweaks Rydim into a frenzy acid smash. "Fomo" files under emotional dance floor roller coaster. You know that rhythm is all we have right? Leon Revol's sparkling "Acid is rolling" gets all bodies moving through a non-stop-bass-driven remix. Kudos all labels involved: Permanent Vacation, Pets & Get Physical. Quick white label action housed in a red jacket. Just the way we used to do it.

Soul Intent delivers his second studio album, this time on Dope Plates, the 90s influenced sub-label for his Lossless Music imprint.
"Everything And Nothing" sees Soul Intent reach back 25 years to the sounds and vibes that soundtracked his teenage years in the mid 90s. It was this period when he first discovered rave and jungle through his brothers CD collection, MTV's Party Zone and Dreamscape tape packs, which were being passed around at school.
Some of the track names refer to memories from this era including "Standard Deluxe" (a long since defunct skate/surf clothing brand) and "Tribal Gathering" - the legendary 1993 rave put on by event organisers Universe.

Samosa Records return with another four top-grade disco edits to kick off your new year with. Lego Edit recently hit #1 on the JunoDownload Chart and continues his fine run of form with the none-funkier 'Say Yeah', driven by a beefy, rugged breakdown and infectious guitar licks with some standout piano and synth solos. C.Da Afro gets busy with some P-funk naughtiness on 'The Disco Freak', all trembling synth squeals and raucous vocals. Will Hofbauer ploughs some super-cool funked-up soul for his slick 'Work It', with some great horns complimenting the layered vocals. Shit Hot Soundsystem finish off with something very purple and very useful indeed on 'Shit Goes 2 Minneapolis'...

Revered DJ and producer Giuseppe Scarano prepares to launch his debut EP Feel Good on his own NICEPEOPLE imprint.
A four-track offering with the dancefloor in mind, the EP opens with title track ‘Feel Good’, an understated house groover with a classic vocal sample. ‘Back Sound’ continues the theme of classic house elements as it traverses gently through melodic waters, before Chicago house legend Paul Johnson steps up to deliver an energetic remix of ‘Feel Good’. Paul Johnson, best known for 1999 chart hit ‘Get Down’, delivers an animated twist on the original with distinct synth sounds & heavy-hitting beats, whilst accentuating the original’s jacking groove. Closing the EP with ‘This Love For You’, the final track crafts an infectious house beat, concluding with a blissed-out finale.
Scarano’s musical journey began at the age of 16 when he started DJing for the first time and was quickly picked up gigs at local clubs. Influenced by Italian house music throughout his youth, he has since seen fast-rising success and shared the DJ booth with a slew of talented artists, including Matthias Tanzmann, Marco Faraone, Stefano Noferini, Joey Daniel, Ilario Alicante, Pan-Pot and wAFF, before launching NICEPEOPLE in 2018. Scarano’s Feel Good EP is the second release to premiere on the label which has hit the ground running, with seminal Dutch electro producer Orlando Voorn releasing a four-track EP Positive Vibes as the debut project earlier this year.
Having played at a variety of Italian parties and festivals including Clorophilla, Guendalina, Discorama and Heartz Festival, Scarano made his debut performance at Amsterdam Dance Event for Drone Time in 2018, further cementing his status as an artist to watch.
An emerging talent from the underground Italian music scene, Giuseppe Scarano’s debut EP is a testament to his unequivocal talent and fast-rising success.

Liam Doc, a staple in the Scottish scene and resident at the Glaswegian institution Sub Club, brings a record of throbbing techno minimalism to Shall Not Fade. Having rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in Scottish dance music from Denis Sulta to Big Miz, Doc's sound is cool, collected and distinctively UK.
Energetic A1 "Jamie Said It Was Wicked" combines earworm distorted bass triplets with atmospheric steel drums, its strong rhythm dragging you into "Icarus" which puts on the breaks in a silky laidback house roller. Doc turns up the nostalgia for A-side closer "2008"; the wide bassline giving a classic noughties feel but with touches of chillout room memories in the smooth piano stabs. On the other side, percussion dominates.
"Looks Like a Mad Place" is proper eyes down business, a drum-heavy uk techno number with dubwise bite. More playful percussion on the hard drum hybrid power of "Thyme Bridge (Part II)", but the crowning jewel of the record is the closing track, "A.S.M.R (I'm Trying)". Delving further into pivotal forward club sounds, Doc creates a darker spin on uk funky elements with an ominous, vibrating bassline and ear tickling percs. The EP builds from a ravey sound palette into dark and raw British techno at its finest, proving Liam Doc is a master of his craft.

As summer season has begun to loom early this May, it's with great pleasure that we accompany your sunny days to come with our sixth release on Délicieuse Records, marking the start of our newest collaboration with Colognian : Parra for Cuva.
Today's headliner was quick to steal our hearts, as we fell hard four months ago for his title « Swept Away » made in collaboration with his friend Mr. Gramo.
The two buddies were once students at the Hochschule der populären Künste (University of Fine Arts) in central Berlin where they studied sound design amongst many Berlin newcomers of the current scene such as Egokind, Marlon Hoffstadt, and 4nton.
This EP is to be fully savoured in 3 parts ...
We first soothe our way into the delicious world of Parra for Cuva with their piece « Fading Nights » seducing you with a hypnotizing beat, making way into a magical moment between Nicolas and Anna Naklab, as his faithful sidekick's vocals exuberate powerful emotion, yet still maintaining a lightness. Let your mind adrift as a thrilling sensation takes over...
Enter a state of release as the EP adjoins under the title « Small Flowerd », a track which oozes of mind blowing sensuality. The duo creates a natural ease and is sure to fulfil your devastating hunger. A melodious air overwhelms, sending us further into the depths of our imagination.
It's a journey, a haute couture production which comes to an end with the mastered version of their forerunner title « Swept Away », once again enhanced by Anna's sublime vocals, skilfully accompanying a punchy and exhilarating melody. A piece with returning synths and ethereal arpeggios affirming their undeniable loyalty to the style of Deep Pop', a main reason for teaming up with our German counterparts.

KiNK returns with the second release on the still puerile label Sofia. The second of many to come, „Nagore“ features four tracks again that are incentive, innovative and ingenious at the same time. Based on the incantations of KiNK and guests like Red Eye, Kei and Sofia’s guiding spirit DJ Valentine, you get a mix of free-flowing techno, bass bumpers, ravey IDM tropes and pitch-wheel house or four smart bombs, if you will. Graced with technical prowess and creative powers, this is once more proof that the man cannot set a foot wrong. Remember the future!
SOFIA: Founded by Strahil Velchev and Konstantin Petrov, Sofia is not only the physical location where this music was made, the city where they met and developed as artists, but also a paradox that is reflected in the art and music that comes from the place. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, clean and dirty, brutal as well as romantic, it’s a place where aesthetically seemingly incompatible styles come together in a twisted, yet unifying form. The photographs for the sleeves are made by influential local selector DJ Valentine, effortlessly capturing the local reality.

This is a city of contradicting systems and clashing elements. Its morphology becomes a direct representation of a poly-rhythmic frenzy, avoiding any attempt of crystallization into a single entity. Hi hats become columns, snares turn into repeating arcades and drum kicks form encompassing volumes.
This is the architecture of the absurd, where reality as a single vision is no longer possible. As music helps us escape our bound dimension through obsessive repetitions, this city wants to be a materialization of this transcendental power.
Timeless, raw and obscure melodies composed by Moray. Tomoki Tamura and Los Pastores remixed Checking Defaults and My System respectively.
Mastered and engineered in Mexico by Sidartha Siliceo.
Pressed in Germany.
Original artwork cover by Three Fingerz Workshop, London.

Welcome 2016 and welcome back everybody to the second Cocoon Recordings roll out. We wonder what this year will bring if the kick-off is already on such a high level Ricardo Tobar's first remix 12 comes with two stunning re-arrangements by Fairmont and Tech-House grandmaster John Tejada. The canadian minimal techno hero Fairmont remixed Tobars Angora' and gave it such a strong Border Community vibe. Dark but at the same time pushing and hedonistic. Fairmont starts off with a subtle percussion-beat-acid-combination and turns his remix into a proper and mad electronic masterpiece the longer it runs. Epic! Californian tech-house pioneer John Tejada is on remix-duty for Invierno' and he blasts us away with the result. Deeper than deep and kick-ass house with a pushing detroit and KMS vibe. This one almost appears like a lost & found alltime techno and house classic and it will hit the Zeitgeist in Berlin, London, New York and Tokyo like no other release on Cocoon Recordings lately. This is ingenious clubfood for all the innercity hipsters and musiclovers and it simply makes us wanna dance! This! Is! Tech-House! Baby!ly makes us wanna dance! This! Is! Tech-House! Baby!

Umberto (aka one half of Bologna duo Nudge and owner of 320 kb music) brings the deep bassline and skip of his 90s Italian house heroes to proceedings on 'Restoration', while the bumping low end and syncopated chords of 'Kidz' nod back over the Atlantic to the dusty garage house sounds of New York. To mark the 10th release on the Zeitnot imprint we've invited our very special friend Nick Gynn. For this milestone occasion Nick's prepared his longest play yet, 6 stellar tracks ranging through various flavours of deep and warped dance floor sounds.
On the A side AAA shows some love to the golden era of IDM with its B12-esque synth lines, and a growling grooving bass patch. Similarly weighty dance floor bomb Dynamic Traces has a mind-warping atmosphere, and a catchier hook than your favourite guilty pleasure.
Lose yourself in the gripping melancholy of Lourd, with more squelchy IDM-inflections, and practically dripping in nostalgia. Swap plates to the C side to hear expert examples of deep and driven electro Pheonix and Rokit, before gracefully coming to rest amongst the clouds in the arpeggiatted symphonies of A = 432 (Hz).
