Pure Hackney road Acidcore !

After his last years 'Birds Over Hong Kong EP' Insect O. takes us on a musical journey to Down Under this time.The title track 'Bondi Dub' offers a smooth groove laying in an ocean of delayed chords. An acid line gives this11 minutes piece of music the final touch. You can dance with your feeds in the sand or just sit on the beach and watch the sunset. Is this surf techno Yes, maybe. With 'Rokk Hampton' the b-side starts more powerful and brings you a straight techno beat with filtered synth chords. It shows a more energetic and oldschoolish side of Insect O.'s work in a morden form. The last track 'Sands Of Rainbow' sounds like the colored sands of Rainbow Beach. Melodies are stabled with echoes and a deep groove to a coloful sound structure. Nic Arizona aka Niv Arzi, half of acclaimed duo Red Axes (alongside Kapitan, who released his debut solo album with MT in 2019) is here.
Nic Arizona’s transmission from Lockdown 1 in April 2020 is arriving in giant steps in the form of his debut solo album - Shavua Tov, to be released on MT later in 2021.
Floating the Flood is the first single of that album. It has been stretched and fitted for your imaginary (or actual?) dance floors as a 12” banger version, and is equipped on the b-side with a remix by his long time friend, and a huge label inspiration here in MTHQ - Lena Willikens.
We dream of hearing this LOUD.
In the meantime we fighting the good fight, on that spectrum between Hope & Despair.

Jim Coles once again turns the tide towards a new horizon and travels further into the echo chamber. Leading on from the much-lauded ‘Secret Location’ mini-album with Seekersinternational, one-offs such as ‘Open Palms dub’ (Dub Stuy) and other teasings, ‘Acid Dub Studies’ is the fully-fledged result of the merging of the calligraphic expression of the 303 Acid bassline with the stern sway of Dub Reggae and the hazier edges of Dub Techno and Ambient music.

Thomas Schumacher is finally back on Noir Music with another outstanding 2-tracker.Over the years me and Thomas have become great friends as we click on so many levels and share the same taste in dark, melancholic and emotional music. I have been a big fan of Thomas' music for many years and i am still a great supporter of his productions today so obviously i am honored to release his music on my label again. On these 2 tracks Thomas has recorded 2 authentic and raw tracks with a no holding back, zero bulls*** attitude. You can hear the "no formular" approach on both and i love that. We had an honest and creative back and forth A&R process on both tracks before and after testing them in the clubs and this has given both a unique and fresh techno sound. This is Thomas Schumacher's natural rhythm.

Extrawelt are back with a raw unpolished techno jewel called "Heracid". A track that slowly drills deep into your techno soul. Be sure this track will not let you down. It has that unique Extrawelt quality of being friends with you before it even gains traction. Maybe it is the trust you put in Extrawelt after having released so many great tracks that you feel in good hands and in good company with this new Extrawelt track!

"Heracid" is no classic acid track though it throws in a reference to the acid days. But overall it carries more of an undercurrent urgency and simmering that builds the tension of the track. This may as well put it next to the excellent techno tracks you have heard recently. It is a powerful and muscular track to sink into and enjoy.

"Madjafala" has a different logic than the a-side track "Heracid" it gives only vague „answers“ to the arising expectations when listening to the track. It could be called a track perfectly in tune with our unstable times. There is certainly a lot of neurotic energy and tricky twists in directions you would not have expected. There is enough tension for a whole year in this unusual track.

The vinyl comes with a very nice and minimalistic cover art from Maria Louceiro featuring a pattern made of frozen waves, beautiful and interrupted.

instinct how to create timeless dancefloor tracks!
The title track "Escape" comes along with a crisp, bouncy percussion
groove before the deep melodic bass line kicks in, which giving the
track a hypnotic atmosphere that will stay in your mind.
"Going back", the second original on the release, sounds deeper and
more minimalistic. A subby bass is constantly pumping in the
background and gives the track a lot of depth. Spherical synths, pads
and vocal sounds make "Going Back" complete and a real open-air
bomb.
On top the release includes a Remix by the Romanian vizard Mihai
Popoviciu.

With her releases on Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Watergate Records Yulia proved how she effortlessly blends sultry house vibes with the underground. Applause please.

Heady, deep dive into techno's more psychedelic spaces, true to form, "Dimensions Doors" EP kicks off with the rolling kicks of "Portal Opening", a trippy exploration of shifting ambiances and rhythmic noise, punctuated by a siren tone. AWB steps up with a broken beat remix of "Portal Opening", layering Clotur's ambiances over low-slung percussion. "Hyperspace Travel" brings up the energy with galloping kicks and rippling resonant synths. BLNDR follows up with a pounding remix, building Clotur's sweeping textures into trippy loops circling over a monolithic kick. "Irregular Frequencies" pulls even further into the portal, with a relentless, rubbery synth squelching along over driving, percussion. Clotur lays a gentle, but uneasy atmosphere over this trippy tool. He brings us back down with "Forbidden Level", another complex rhythmic track featuring glitchy percs and robotic warping over a tough low-end workout.

Brooklyn based Starrk debuts with this 4-track EP of experimental & industrial techno records. Through dissonant synths, harsh distortions, and powerful kicks, "The Club Is Now An Empty Room" is a reflection of a 2020 that deprived us of the catharsis of a dancefloor. The release is influenced by artists such as Tommy Four Seven, Swarm Intelligence, Ansome, and L A V E N, and the sounds will be familiar to fans of these artists.

Starrk himself is a NY based producer who is affiliated with the local techno venue Basement, and organizes various parties and music-related events under the SYITS organization.

This combo EP features solo tracks by each artist and collab track which is carrying the release name.

Bakongo comes proper with two stripped back drum workouts for TRULE’s 10” series. UK Funky pioneer Roska has been making great percussion tracks under his Bakongo alias for some time now. On Thirteen/Level Cowbell he continues this with two rugged, skeletal drum tracks with minimal bass and the faintest trace of texture in there that absolutely demand to be moved to.

For the second and last EP of Contemporary Spaces remixes, Dynamic Reflection welcomes yet another batch of talented producers to the label. Just like the first remix EP, it is a mix between household names, and up and comers. First off, it's Perc's interpretation of Glide. The UK based artist, who is known for his use of distortion and aggressiveness, takes it down a notch on this occasion. He has made Glide into a echoing and glitchy track that doesn't reach its energy peak until the last couple of minutes. Matrixxman takes overwith his Biohazard mix of Future Existence, which contains a tensive synth, confined by a filter that gradually opens,and than closes again, retaining your attention at all times. On the Bside, SHDW and Obscure Shape reshaped The Hunt to provide the first outright dance floor track of the EP. With its thumping kick and epic pads around the breaks, it's bound to win crowds over in the club. Dutch talent Ben Buitendijk also remixed Future Existence, in his own distinctive, hypnotic style. A deep, though energetic track with a very mature sound. Lastly, as a digital bonus, Matrixxman remixed Immersion as well. The subby kick, old school rides and uplifting lead, make it into one of those secret weapons, waiting to be used on the night's most workedup moments.

The next release on Tied features the debut release of Ciphr! A new alias of Max Jacobson and Christian Thomas, the EP features two original mind expanding tracks with a heavy jazz infused micro house sound. On remix duties Funk E delivers a darker stripped down version of Runnin and Silat Beksi give us a deep and grooving version of Saturnday, an unreleased Ciphr track.

BAR07, a double A side featuring an 11-minute mind bending rollercoaster by JEANS and the debut of Blond, a new moniker by Oceanic, delivering the perfect spring / summer track.

Athens of the North's first foray into releasing house records (with more on the way) may come as a surprise to some but not to people who've heard them DJ. Dirty Channels vs Danny Russell 'Watchin' Out' is a horn-fuelled lesson in peak time energy; working a relentless groove before dropping into a hook that you'll be hearing a lot of this Summer.
