Our friend Filou makes his very first appearance on the label with a very smooth original named Sonar45. The bass and kick answer each other nicely forming a strong core to build upon. The rising strings, pads and loops bring a positive classic housey quality while the ever evolving synth stabs keep up the groove. This one is clearly all about balance and sound placement. On the remix, we are priviledged to welcome Christian Burkhardt with a really nice, slightly more uplifting take on Sonar45, adding in some percussion and really effective 303 synth loop. Bring on the summer!

After Thomas Schumacher's succesful 'Natural Rhythm' trilogy on Noir Music, the Berlin-based producer now returns with a fresh new release for us. Thomas and I have been very much in sync with what music we like, play and get inspired by the past couple of years, so I was one big smile when I received these new bangers from Mr. Schumacher. Continuing on from last years trilogy, in 2018 we embark on new adventures starting with this 90s rave inspired 'Embody Paradox' release. Both tracks are geniusly crafted and a tribute to warehouse moments from the early 90s with a twist of Thomas' skillful 2018 freshness. 'Embody' is built around a timeless 303 sequence wrapped in Thomas' unique synths, soundscapes and relentless beats. On 'Paradox' Thomas goes back to oldschool arpeggio influences, his signature string composition and thumping subs. If you like rave-music; You will love this. The third installment of Hypnus' Serum-series introduces two wonderfully swirling deep techno cuts from Swedish producer Hardstedt Under Molnet with interpretations by Hypnus adepts Luigi Tozzi and Ntogn.

The record will be pressed in 180 gram marbled vinyl (transparent blue and white); sheathed inside a hand-stamped and undyed inner sleeve. It will be limited to 300 copies and released under the July full moon.

2020 is set to be another great year for James Ruskin as he opens Blueprint's release schedule with a stunning new EP.

Looking back over 2019, the year saw Ruskin release 'Reality Broadcast Off' - his first new solo EP in 5 years which gained Resident Advisor "Recommends" and one of Groove's "Records of The Week", among other media accolades that summer. It was followed by the re-mastered reissue of his seminal 'Point 2' album on Tresor as well as a new release for them entitled 'Siklikal EP' in November, while his tight DJing skills continued to take him around the globe reaching most of Europe as well as further afield to the likes of Colombia and Japan.

His 'Consumer Patterns EP' due for release at the end of January once again shows James Ruskin deliver true diligence with three cuts of inspiring techno, from the title track which offers a duality of stormy techno meets experimental sound design, via the more linear groove of 'Social Acceptance' to the tranquillity of 'Weakness of the System'.

As Planetary Assault Systems, Luke Slater is an innovator of psychedelic mindfuck techno. Across a lengthy catalogue that stretches back into the 90s, the music’s bleepy, polyrhythmic loops are as recognizable as they are genre-defining. Plantae is Slater’s first release as PAS on Ostgut Ton since Arc Angel (2016) and covers the spectrum of PAS’s different strains while remaining grounded in Slater’s uncanny funk and knack for developing oblique melodies and rhythms over longer stretches. Deepness and hypnosis come as much through duration as sound design. For Slater, Plantae is made for Berghain, where he is a long-standing resident. In his own words: “I’m sure it’s no surprise that when it comes to putting together a release on Ostgut Ton, PAS takes on its more mind-altering, otherworldly quality by natural cause, quietly reflecting the dark sweaty nights and days at the club; at the point, the common neural coupling, of us all together. PAS has been part of Berghain and Berghain part of PAS for a long time. All of these tracks needed to pass the Berghain test in my sets first stop.”

If we would have to name one thing our fans have been consistently asking for, it’s a vinyl version of THE FIELD’s legendary first album FROM HERE WE GO SUBLIME: originally rolled out in 2007, this much-acclaimed full-length debut of what was to become one of the most celebrated projects in our artist fold saw a regular CD edition and an accompanying 12" sampler – but never a full vinyl release. Following our long sold out 2014 limited edition reissue for Record Store Day, we welcome FROM HERE WE GO SUBLIME back as a double LP in gatefold vinyl.

Axel Willner aka THE FIELD joined the Kompakt family in 2005, bringing forward a new fusion of ambient and techno that fed on his adoration for Wolfgang Voigt’s classic 90’s projects Gas and M:I:5 as well as the shoegazer rock of Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine. Called a “techno pop landmark” by Pitchfork, FROM HERE WE GO SUBLIME almost immediately became a cult favourite, starting a trend that continues to this day – as can be seen with THE FIELD’s most recent full-length offering CUPID’S HEAD that has been lauded by critics and crowds alike.

The most striking feat of FROM HERE WE GO SUBLIME must be its sonic cohesiveness, debuting a fully-formed artistic vision that – seven years and three albums later – hasn’t lost any of its luster. As a fixture in THE FIELD’s discography, it remains as important as ever, with Axel Willner installing a blueprint that inspired many but sounds like no one else… except himself. Giving you a feeling of warmth and familiarity on first listen that you can’t quite grasp, it’s like this sound has always existed, when in fact it was the unique creation from one highly gifted producer. And it all starts here.

Californian mudular synthesizer and audio wuipment producter Tiptop Audio is proud to introduce a new project for 2015: Tiptop Audio Records. In the recent years musical productions have seen a remarkable return to the use of hardware through analog synthesizers and digital control interfaces. This trend has proven so strong that it prompted a rebirth of modular synths in a new format (eurorack). Tiptop Audio has made a name producing sophisticated but easy to use modules, designed to form a complete system that is especially effective for dance-oriented productions and live sets. Tiptop Audio Records selected for its first issue some of the most groundbreaking artists using such systems, to present a range of artists who, through their tracks, explore the landscape of dance music in a very fresh perspective. These are the artists who inspire the Tiptop team to make more innovative devices, which in turn make new music (a nice feedback loop). ANGLE, BLAWAN, CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT JOAO CESER, JOHN TEJADA, JOSEPH FRAIOLI, MOE ESPINOSA (DRUMCELL), KINK, RICHARD DEVINE and SURGEON each contribute a track stamped with their own style and vision. Tracks range from Surgeon's trademark hard minimal beat, to Kink's gauzy dreamscape, while Richard Devine and Joseph Fraioli explore the outer reaches of beat based music.

Obwohl sie gerade mal auf sieben Releases zurückblicken, haben die zwei es doch tatsächlich geschafft in kürzester Zeit auf Labels wie Crosstown Rebels oder sogar Transmat zu landen... und jetzt auch noch den Weg auf Cocoon Recordings gefunden!
Ihr Titel - The Secret' gibt ein wenig vor, was wir gerade beschrieben haben, denn momentan kann man Azimute noch wirklich als Geheimtipp bezeichnen. Ihr Cocoon Release dürfte einer unserer Releases mit dem höchsten Soul-Faktor sein. Betörende Vocals, klackernde Percussion-Sounds aus den Untiefen des Techno-Klanguniversums und im zusätzlichen House-Mix noch mal alles mit warmen und hypnotischen Filter Chords dekoriert servieren uns Azimute eine Produktion mit
unglaublich viel Tiefgang.

Azimute erwischt uns hier voll auf dem richtigen Fuß, die beiden Originalversionen werden uns noch lange über die kommenden Wochen begleiten. Als Bonus gibt es noch einen Cristi Cons Remix obendrauf. In bester Villalobos oder Cadenza Spielart entfaltet dieser über Sage und Schreibe 11 Minuten und 34 Sekunden seinen Minimalvibe und öffnet damit noch mal eine weitere faszinierende musikalische Tür. Drei Versionen, die alles aber nicht gewöhnlich sind und die hier seit Tagen in Heavy Rotation laufen! Mile Grazie Azimute!

The 120th vinyl release on Moon Harbour is given over to one of the label’s current crop of stars, namely UK Tech House titan wAFF.

It has been a couple of years since wAFF’s last solo release, and it just happened to be on this label. Since then he has gone on to become a frequent headliner at Ibiza’s biggest parties, always serving up big, rolling techno sets that have established him as one of the world’s most prominent DJs. To have him back on the label with three fresh new tracks after some time away from the studio is a coup indeed.

Opener and title track ‘Sunmood’ is a tightly coiled affair with razor sharp hits and drums making for a lively groove. Weird sound effects, freaky dehumanised vocals and a soulful female all add great details that really get under your skin.

Then comes ‘Jakk’, a perfectly punchy house track with knotted bass rally having a great effect. Again the percussion is crisp and slick and the whole thing makes for muscular house music that the club will simply not be able to ignore, especially thanks to the anthemic spoken word vocal line.

Last of all is the excellently tribal-tinged ’Tropica’, a ten minute epic with gliding tech grooves and a bizarre lead sample that will get terraces and festival crowds going wild. It’s a playful, off-kilter tune, much like one of wAFF’s own sets, and is another standout production from the man.

These are three more charismatic cuts of club-ready weapons from the always reliable wAFF.

Tiefschwarz’s Souvenir label kicks off the 2019 year in brilliant form with an EP from Germany’s Metaboman (Musik Krause), featuring 4 mind-melting slices of underground dancefloor weaponry perfectly stripped back to the most essential elements. The EP, ‘Einseins’ is Metaboman’s debut offering for the Berlin imprint, and easily one of his most ambitious and expertly crafted releases to date.

Title track, ‘Einseins’ starts the EP out in perfect psychedelic form with a shuffling, low-slung piece of late night weirdness. Punchy and muffled beats move underneath robotic vocal snippets, aggressive claps and cleverly placed acid squelches. A subdued vocal loop adds the perfect human element to the surreal shaker, keeping things equally playful and wicked.

Robag Wruhme joins the release with a remix of ‘Einseins,’ featuring his beloved ability to fuse unexpected twists and turns with an unstoppable dancefloor delivery. The steady drum arrangement provides the perfect momentum for Robag’s quirky creativity to shine through. Unique and clever, this remix is another shining example of a talented producer at work.

‘Jena’ was clearly created when Metaboman was in an incredibly good mood, as the vibe is nothing short of playful, happy and outrageous. The vocal takes the spotlight on this party rocker, with a funk-drenched freestyle session of soulful magic. The beats and effects perfectly balance out the funk with enough chopped up swing to keep things on the right side of wrong.

Rounding out the release is ‘Mood Boy,’ the deepest cut on the EP. Focused on bare-bones beats and a few perfectly placed vocal samples, the track leaves a wonderful amount of space for haunting melodies to creep in and out of focus. It’s afterhours music expertly suited for musical moments geared towards entering the rabbit hole

In their authentic style, Sue Avenue is Back From Home with laid-back jazzy vibes, which is transcending with a new collab with Marta Del Grandi.
While Brett Johnson delivers a high-class remix of the collab track, label boss Maxim Lany chose newest member of the LR family Wanvel to remix the title track.

Osmosis is back with another remarkable release for their 3rd vinyl catalogue, this time featuring the rising talent Wave Particle Singularity bringing a marriage of microhouse textures and airy jazzy riffs, giving the whole EP subtil lo-fi colors ranging from Romanian to Detroitish influences. The EP is elegantly closed with a special remix from the Arad born talent and Sunwaves fueler, Herck.

After an outstanding Ibiza season with several appearances on the Island, including his HYTE residency at Amnesia, tINI & the Gang and Sankeys to name a few, Yaya is ready to unleash his next track on Tamango. The third release on his own Tamango Records is another solo EP for the head-honcho who now delivers 'Closer' and we're super glad to see Berlin based Mike Shannon on the remix duties. The title track 'Closer' is a captivating lush masterpiece and features the beautiful vocals of Russian artist Eka Moon. It immediately kicks in with deep kicks and subterranean bass and the vocal totally turns the track into a sexy and intimate mood with a superb amalgamation of drums, pads and delayed synths. The intense and sumptuous groove is top notch quality with Yaya's meticulous attention for subtleties and details, creating a true heady dancefloor brew. On the flip, B1 is about 'Close Encounters' with Mike Shannon on the remix who completely takes the track into another direction with sinister and electrical atmospheres. His version of 'Closer' starts a two minutes crescendo of tension and anxiety with a misted use of the vocals until a lethal kick and bass combination together with a lean groove makes of this remix an amazing hypnotic club killer. Ending the affairs on the EP is the dub mix of 'Closer' which emphasizes all the single elements of the original track without the vocal part.

Back To Some Old School Classic Summer Vibes With Japanese Yusuke Yamamoto.

Rising techno star Joannes continues his ascendancy with more quality, synth-loaded techno soundscapes on De Sluwe Vos' Patron label. The three tracks of deep, ethereal techno come with a remix from Budapest's endowment Norwell. The record is released in February 2020 and will be limited to 200 copies with no repress.

'LX72' is an alias of Zürich based DJ and producer Lexx. Hot on the heels of his album „Cosmic Shift“, he delivers a 12“ of three raw and diverse house tunes. The EP kicks off with 'Lunatic Dolphin', a hypnotic and vibrant number keeping things basic and aiming
straight for the dance floor.

The title track, 'State of Resilience', is a deep and percussive affair. Dubby piano stabs merge with hazy chants that weave in and out before the tune takes a mesmerizing twist that echoes the distinctive sound of the 'Motor City‘. The final track, 'Duster‘, is a bouncy joyride with an uplifting quality creating magic every time the strings drop in. Dusty MPC beatdown business at it's best!
