Charmin Records has long been a formidable outlet for considered house tones, and on their latest V/A, the German label reminds us in emphatic fashion just what they're capable of. Featuring four delicious house cuts, this is an expertly crafted release with four tracks of different but equally delectable persuasion on show.
Opening up the release is the sounds of Wasserfall & Vaage's 'Orbits'. A sci-fi tinged cosmic workout, it's galactic properties are matched only by its sheer dancefloor ethos. A banging track that's perfect for peak time 'floors, it gets us underway with some panache.
Garben's 'Exploitation' is a different track altogether. An analogue-inspired jam, it features all the hallmarks of a classic Larry Heard jam. The perfect track with which to welcome in these warmer climes, this deep track is characterised by its fuzzy, melancholic ethos.
Next up is ØA°ll Ha°tes' 'øøø9'. A steely, industrial track with echoes of Shed at its core, it's both a warm and uncomfortable effort, but one that's thoroughly beguiling throughout.
Culminating the package is FM's 'Saturday Voices'. This one is decidedly more banging, with an unrelenting kick and a catchy-as-hell baseline at its core. A fine effort with which to sign out on, Charmin's latest is just like the label's name suggests: absolutely charming.

French label Bright Sounds welcomes prolific Dutch artist Boris Bunnik for a new EP under his most celebrated alias, Conforce. The regular Delsin artist saves this project for his more dance floor driven work and that is the case across all four of the atmospheric tracks here.
'Virtue Signalling' is slick techno that mixes up sci-fi sounds with cavernous dub pads. It's cerebral and cinematic as well as being driven by the rubbery drums. 'Black Mesa' is darker, with a meaning synth line coming in spurts over punchy, broken drums. It's grand in architecture but still has plenty of rich sonic details. On the flipside, 'Compulsion' is more watery, with little life forms suspended in a backlit ocean above slippery drums, then 'Alka' is another underwater affair, with beams of light penetrating from above as a dubbed out groove undulates way down deep. Once again then here, Conforce marries form with function in exquisite ways.

Time Passages boss Binh is a big fan of Innershades. Last year he brought the Belgian producer to the label for the very first time and here offers up another four tracks from the rave-loving rising star. He hits the ground running with "It's Time", a warehouse-ready throb-job full of new beat riffs and creepy electronics, before offering up another funky Euro techno cut that sounds like it could have been played at an after-party in 1990 ("Forum"). Elsewhere, "Euphoria In Ginza" is a deliciously chiming and melodious breakbeat-house workout, while "No Romantic" is another retro-futurist romp full of squelchy synth bass and rushing, turn-of-the-90s style nostalgic riffs

LET Recordings boss JP Enfant returns to his own label for a third solo EP. The Dutchman, who is a resident at De School in Amsterdam, mixes up techno, breakbeat, ambient, dub and house into his own long and all consuming tracks, and on his latest EP he does that once more. Empty Vision provides the next pillar to the structure of Lanthan.audio and is the latest project of the italian-rooted Damiano Di Cagno. In addition he was able to convince Distant Echoes (Dystopian) and the well-known Chris Stanford to paraphrase his Visions.
Vision I gives an insight into a deep, abandoned space, reminds on a far away valley. Leaving it is accompanied by thundering spheres impressively.
Distant Echoes grasps this tension and turns it into a delightful and powerful interpretation which gives an affirmative spirit. Vision II goes ahead with a strong foundation pursued by congenial bizarre but memorable sounds that send you through the apparent infinity. Flattened with wide open spheres results here in a very solid dancefloor weapon.
Chris Stanford follows in similar manner, the foundations are well recognizable but he manages it to present the track in a different shape with putting his own stamp on it.
The last track - Vision III - slides us formally into our deepest core, before it opens in full beauty and rescues us from all vicious visions. It remembers us to the most important thing we are capable of giving, love, light and compassion.

Rich NxT, one of FUSE's core residents, returns for his fourth EP on the FUSE London label. Set for release on X March, the 'Waistline EP' sees him build upon his fine earlier work with another mesmerizing journey through expertly crafted underground sounds.
Title track 'Waistline' is an impressive opener, which stretches over seven glorious dubbed out minutes. The track is characterized by its infectious groove, which rolls along at a steady pace and is complemented by expertly placed distorted sounds and vocal snippets. 'Instate' continues in a similar vein, but this time warm reverb pads shine through darkness of the crisp percussion. With distorted vocal fragments and echoing cowbells added to the equation at just the right moments, the clever arrangement results in a totally engrossing and hypnotic track. 'Daybreak' - is another functional dance-floor weapon, with heavy bass, sharp drums and echoes ringing throughout, these sounds all combine to create a deeper-than-deep eyes closed heads down vibe that is a perfect fit for the FUSE dancefloor.
Rounding off the EP is remix of 'Waistline' under their acclaimed Kilimanjaro project. While the dubby essence of the original remains, the duo instantly stamp their mark on the record through raising the BPM with razor sharp percussion and adding sublime deep bass and warm soaring synths which wash over the punchy beat.
On the 'Waistline EP' Rich demonstrates his considerable production prowess and as expected from one of FUSE's most trusted residents it contains all the elements that one would associate with the much-loved FUSE sound: deep dubby house and techno of the highest order, rich in details and sound. And of course we're talking about the Belgium-born Sammy Goossens, better known as Sierra Sam to all lovers of quality TechHouse beyond, who is about to release his Remember Me' 12 on our vinyl only offshoot UYX Series in fall 2k15. The original version of Remember Me' causes us to gravitate straight towards the center of the club, sporting percussion layers as hot as a tropical night out and well-morphed sample wizzardry with a classic, dry windy city touch. Later on we're carried away by positive, uplifting stab sequencing and an energy overload that sends punters to ecstatic heavens for a reason. The next variation on Remember Me' is the 'Pascal Hetzel & Sierra Sam`s System 100 Mix' - a way darker affair on the technoid side of things. Psyched out, Acid-induced synth lines meet a threatening, slightly distorted drum foundation, frizzling high-hats on overdrive and devil'ish, psychotic vocal processing from hell. 100% underground bunker music for those who know.
